Christmas and Christmas adjacent movie poster parodies for Sonic 3

I don’t know if anyone has mentioned this before but I quite like the idea of a Red Dwarf version of A Christmas Carol.

Rimmer obviously being the Scrooge personality character in the story. Because idk it just… fits you know.

The Marley ghost character could be someone from the old Red Dwarf crew. (Well any one of them could be electronic ghosts like Rimmer really). For this example I can’t choose between George McIntyre or Frank Todhunter. Either way Rimmer won’t be friendly in their presence as they warn him to live death better I guess.

Ghost of Christmas Past: Kryten because he can access Rimmer’s memories and talk him through how he was as a child who was normally unloved and always studying. A bit like Scrooge’s upbringing. I would like to think the Belle character would be Nirvanah Crane cus Rimmer’s tragic love story has to be there somewhere.

Ghost of Christmas Present: Cat because of his sheer energy and I believe he would be the most festive out of any of the Red Dwarf crew. Maybe the Cat will show Rimmer the other members making fun of him behind his back. Nothing new but it would still hurt. And probably show a scene of Lister struggling to get through another Christmas being stranded in space. Making Rimmer realise he is not the only one having problems with the holiday.

Ghost of Christmas Future: Lister because he would have so much fun with it. He would probably show a version of the future selves like in the Out of Time episode and how they all turned immoral and greedy. Making Rimmer realise he doesn’t want to turn out that way. Besides he had said before: ‘better dead than smeg’. Probably the hitting blow of changing him to be a bit better. (For a little while at least).

Side note: Lister and Kryten could probably simulate all this in the holosuite while Rimmer is dreaming. The Cat would do his own thing and collect all the shiny baubles in sight.

I wonder if anyone has their own version of this scenario.

I wanna get these designs out of the way because I am very busy for the weekend so I couldn’t draw the last two characters that I was planning on doing for these set of designs.

I do have to say, I really tried my best on them because I used a wheel on this one so these character choices were random (Except for Woody, he was requested lmao.)

Just a heads up, the villains in my Mirrorverse series designs will be based on how they died or how they were defeated, Oogie and Cruella De Vil are the examples:

Gyro has really had a huge impact on a lot of people's lives in DuckTales. And sadly, he was so overlooked (by both the characters and the production crew)...

If it hadn't been for his OxyChew supplying Della with oxygen, nutrition, and water, she never would have survived to make it back to her family; the Ducks really owe him a huge debt of gratitude. It honestly bothers me how ungrateful Della was; I mean, I get how horrible it must've been to suffer the taste of black licorice for a decade (and to have the taste permanently stuck in your mouth after that), but c'mon...

In 'The Most Dangerous Game... Night', if Gyro hadn't shown up with his shrink ray and interfered in the Ducks' game night, Louie- who was questioning how he fit into the family- might not have discovered his talent of seeing all the angles, and how that contributes to the family on their adventures, and how he could use that talent to someday have his own successful business like Scrooge.

If Gyro hadn't created the armor in the first place (before it became the Gizmoduck armor, back when it was still known as Project Blatherskite and was supposed to be Gyro's ultimate project and solution to regain control over his inventions after they always turn evil), Fenton never would have discovered that his passion for helping others- which he still always loved doing as a scientist, even after becoming Gizmoduck- could also extend to being a superhero. And Gyro actually gave him the new-and-improved model of the armor in the end, which he specifically built for Fenton (self-contained, using Fenton's brain as the core processor this time); granted, that was on Scrooge's orders, and Gyro still thought Fenton was a danger to himself and others in the suit, but the point stands.

If Gyro and his technology hadn't helped Scrooge get back his gold Rockerduck stole (Gyro happened to be stuck in the Old West with his Time Tub, which was a fortunate coincidence), Scrooge wouldn't have gotten that part of his fortune or that part of his legacy.

Gyro took Manny on as an intern and gave him his own name- and yes, Frank Angones indeed confirmed he got his name from Gyro, which likely explains why Gyro actually remembers it- allowing our favorite Headless Man-Horse to become more of a normal guy with a normal life like he wanted, instead of just an evil supernatural creature or 'freak'.

Gyro played a huge part in helping disable the Solego Void before Donald could be erased when Bradford threw him in!

As @sometimes-they-come-back-237 pointed out in a very similar Gyro appreciation post (which I think is such a fun coincidence, and it's so cool more people agree), he saved both Della and Donald, and he deserves a raise (and more respect by Della)!

VHS Christmas Carols Spoilers

a bunch of my favourite parts and reactions in the VHS Christmas Carols bc i think it needs more love (its incredible btw and definitely worth the money)

i will never get over curts acting choices for this line, the little laugh before saying it and his FACE OH MY GOSH HIS ACTINGGGGGG

maybe the real gift was the love we had for each other and the sacrifices we were willing to make to make the other one happy

scrooge basically begs his younger self in this scene, i absolutely love ajs choices in this show as scrooge. also i am such a huge fan of this casting not only because they are both phenomenal actors that i will never shut up about but they genuinely look similar and it works very well in this context

As the cabin came into view again, Goldie couldn’t stop thinking about how this had to be the coldest night they’d had in weeks and her feathers were turning into little icicles. With the small amount of sunlight left, she could see her breath on every exhale. It was so cold she was getting exhausted much faster than she should’ve and Goldie knew she’d be sick in the morning...if she made it there at all.

May I present...the Ice Queen of Dawson. ❄️

This has been a long time coming, but I finally finished this set of three drawings last week that I've been wanting to draw for the longest time for @lettheladylead's running in circles (the above drawing specifically comes from chapter 4 - it's the exact moment that Goldie sees the cabin again on the way back from trying to get back to Dawson). (Will also say that these are a very happy belated birthday gift to you! :D)

There were a few moments from the Klondike chapters that weren't necessarily major story moments, but the descriptions of them (and especially of the environments/lighting) caught my eye and my heart, and made me want to highlight the beauty of the Klondike, and so here we are.

For this scene in particular, her walk back to the cabin, I got a very vivid image of it while reading it, a sort of tragic twist on a "winter wonderland" and on Goldie looking all icy-pretty, and the angst of the Ice Queen naturally came in to play.

Will post the other two drawings over the next two days - up next: a king in the morning light.
