Had a cold this week, so I did some indulgent sketching of my dnd characters. Finally getting their epilogues after 3 years of game! Cue me trying to figure out which garden chore a warhorse pegasus would be good at. Weeding?

Color! Composition still wonky, but this was done mainly to see how I liked the colors and such. I can reposition and resize birds/leaves/etc another time. And get a decent proper hexagon drawn up.

This has been an exercise in not letting perfection hold me back. I have to start getting back into art somehow, right?

I'm not sure if I ever posted this sketch page I drew when I was re-learning how to draw these two to make the second installment of the Band Shirt Comic. Pretty sure there was a lot more of this, mostly trying to work out what shape short hair's hair actually is. The first one was made mostly as a single angle setup so I didn't really have to fully design them, but that comes back to bite you when you want to revisit the same chars. That's what's so particular about comics and animation; it forces you to really design characters, much harder to fudge stuff.
