Brooklyn 1/2 Ale

Smell: Citrus and fruity with a similarity to wheat beers in that it has this pleasing antiseptic aroma.

Taste: Really flavoursome but without feeling heavy it manages to pack a lot goodness into a low percentage. In this way I’d compare it to Brew Dog’s Nanny State which whilst being alcohol free dares to be highly palatable. But unlike Nanny State it doesn’t have that empty alcohol free aftertaste. It is also distinctly different in taste to Brooklyn Lager opting for a flavour that as the names suggests is closer to ale than larger.

Feel: Similar to Brooklyn Lager it is rather fizzy, but combined with the the choice flavours it feels closer to an IPA more than anything.  

Colour: It is pale and light but this probably to be expected and keeps it distinctly distant from Brooklyn Lager.  

Rating: 7/10

This is a great beer to sip while sitting on the couch watching your favorite drama series on the internet. I has heavy notes of wheat and I feel the need to try the traditional Pyramid ale in order to better appreciate the hints of apricot in the taste. It is smooth going down and leaves a great taste on the pallet.
