And look. I'm a Pollination Truther (delusional) first and a person second, and Bees Schnees is one of my fav dynamics - Purely because i can see Weiss being absolutely pissed that Blake and Yang keep pestering her while in their minds Blake and Yang are 100% sure that they're successfully wooing Weiss.

They're not wrong. She loves them - Has loved them for a while, actually. She just... Doesn't realize that it's in the romantic sense lmao.

This leads to infuriating situations like;

Weiss: *getting ready*

Ruby: Oooooh... Why the make up? You going on a date?

Weiss: *rolls her eyes* No, just Blake and Yang had the idea to go get dinner together after I helped.

Ruby: *rising eyebrow* ...can I ask where?

Weiss: To this one Burger place by Midtown Vale.

Ruby: Weiss that's the place she took Blake for their first date if you think she's not taking you to a date.

Weiss: You're wrong. I'll show you once I'm back.

Ruby: *from her bed* so?

Weiss: *Disheveled, black and red lipstick all over her face* what do you fucking think. I think i'm dating them now.

It has jokes, it has drama, it has poly negotiations. Furthermore, it has a really good depiction of an aromantic Weiss. It also has suffering Ruby, thruples therapy in an active combat scenario, family shenanigans and eventually more Maidens in a room than OSHA would be happy with. Probably my favourite Bee's Schnees of all time.

it's the fifties, post-war America is in full swing and Weiss is a cheerleader who will come to realise she's gay in a fifties, post-war America. Reason for said realisation? A biker gang member Yang. Lots of drama, fluff and smut in equal measures. As wel as class warfare, gang fights and standing against bigotry all done with fifties twang and slang.

Thoughts on Volume 9, episode 3 of RWBY

Aaahh, Blake blushing at Yang!  I’ll never get over these Bumbleby moments.

Bee’s Schnees kicking ass and taking names, yeah!  Although I don’t know why Ruby didn’t just knock the pieces aside or something.  Maybe she still wanted to win fair if possible?

We finally see Neo!  And she’s not happy.  Wonder how long it will take for her to run into Team RWBY

Ruby is so done with this world, I think even more so than Weiss.  You could really feel her frustration during the game, and she’s very paranoid now about the rest of Team RWBY getting hurt.  We’re so close to her having a breakdown, I know it.

I love Bumbleby, I love how the confession scene was, and I also completely adore Bees Schnees + pining Weiss who thinks she doesn't get to have them. Weiss's characterization here is great, and despite the fact that she doesn't have quite as much/obvious of build-up as just the bees on their own do, it still manages to be effective and feel like a true culmination for all three of them.
