That episode was absolutely horrific what the actual fuck did I just witness? Oz beating the shit out of Ruby? Penny and Pyrrha taunting her? Ruby slicing Oz just for him to turn into Oscar and have Ruby watch another one of the people she cares for most die right in front of her? Ruby ending it while looking directly at her team and Jaune? NEO STOMPING ON LITTLE?????

catching up on rwby. obviously i'm the last person who wants to piss on anybody's yuri's but i do think it's funny that they made such a big deal out of organically building up to bumbleby confirmation for years, only to lock them in a literal story contrivance and refuse to let them leave until they confessed their love for each other, which is pretty close to the laziest possible way to do a love confession from a writing perspective

My 3 largest v9 thoughts after seeing finale:

-neo ending is ambiguous enough that it's possible to claim that she may have left the ever after as she is (this is not my theory for canon this is me saying ideally I would like her to leave unscathed and I think there's enough ambiguity and it works within the rules established by the writers for the ever after) so yay neo leaving is not massively contradictory or canon shattering as a concept

-the summer and raven stuff was interesting to me and I would like to see more of that, I'm assuming we will in fact be given more in the future, i like the interactions shown even if brief

-SO TRAGIC WE GOT NO V10 PREVIEW.. I wanted to see cinder (I mean I wasn't exactly expecting her to appear in true at any point at all anyway but OUUAAGH still)

bonus: thats so fucked jaune is getting like double the lifespan of a human

If Lewis is a reincarnation of Oz… then he knew. Ozpin knew who Jaune was. That’s why he let him into Beacon. All this time Oz knew they’d end up in the Ever After? Or at least Jaune??? Somebody pls tell me in not insane thinking this??
