Sorry you had to sit in my inbox all day, apparently my body decided to sleep the entire day. I had no idea where this was going and I'm debating if I lost the plot half way through but it's cute I think.

Overcompensating by giving compliments and being extra nice, but feeling frustrated all the same when their crush doesn't seem to notice their efforts.

Trevor has been acting strange lately, you couldn't pin point what it was or when the turning point was but he definitely had a shift in his behavior. Trevor was one of those people in your life that you couldn't really tell anyone if they asked how long you have known him or when you guys first met. Both of your moms went to college together and you were destined to be cousins from that moment on. Except, Trevor and you never acted like cousins. Not in the same way you interacted with his little brother and sister. Not in the same way he interacted with your siblings.

Trevor and you, you both acted well like an old married couple most of the time. Two people that would do anything for each other, hell they would move the heaven if they needed but when it came to everyday life they bickered like they have been stuck with each other since the beginning of time. Jack and Cole constantly gave him shit for it back when they were all on the same development team. They both told him that he needed to make a move before someone stole his 'wife' from him. At the time, you remember Trevor telling you over FaceTime both of you laughing about it till their were tears in your eyes.

Now years later, you ended up in LA for work. Trevor was so happy he had someone with him, even though at the time he was already living in Orange County for years. He insisted on finding the perfect apartment in the middle of of your work and the rink. Which meant that both of your communites with traffic were a little over an hour. On the phone with him when he proposed the idea of a shared apartment you told him how insane he was being.

"Z no. It's insane for both of us to have such a wild commute. LA traffic is already insane and you know that. What happens if I accidentally sleep in one day and then I'm what 2 1/2 hours late for what." you try to reason as your folding your laundry, trying to deicde what to donate since you don't want to pay to lug so much across the country.

"fine then we will pick a place closer to your work. it's only fair anyway, you're there year round anyway." he decides, glancing at his phone for a second, while he continues to search on his mac for new apartments.

"No." you argue.

"yes Y/N I am not letting you live here by yourself okay. " Finally looking at you in the camera he seems your black dress your holding up, as if your debating if it's time to part ways with your 'slutty little black dress' that was your saving grace during college. But Trevor remembers it as the dress you wore with him to the go out to the bars, the dress you wore when he realized his friends were right he was madly and deeply in love with you.

"did you just put that in the donate pile?" he asks. Nodding your head yes, before you could speak he continues. "No you have to keep that one bee. " he begged.

bee a name only he could call you. a childhood name he started calling you because he said your words could sting anyone like a bee if you wanted to. what started as an insult became a name of endearment and one he only used when he really wanted something.

But now months later, as he's driving you home and your in that exact dress he begged you to keep all you want to do is for the ground to swoll you whole as you sit in his jeep. Glancing over at Trevor you see his eyes are clouded with anger, not sure if your mad at you or his teammate for flirting with you. As if he could read your mind, he brings his hand over to yours bringing it to his lips and lightly kisses it.

"I'm not mad at you bee okay." he says as he glances over at you as he comes to a stop. It's the first time he makes eye-contact with you since leaving the club almost 30 minutes ago, he sees that you're fighting back your own tears. "fuck bee don't cry." he whispers, deciding to pull over because the thought of continuing to drive while you're this upset physically pains him. As soon as the car is in park, he unbuckles his seatbelt, wiping your tears away with the rough pads of his thumbs. "I'm not mad" he keeps whispering like a promise until you finally shake your head okay.

"why did you punch him?" you finally ask.

"because he's a fuckboy and he doesn't deserve someone like you." the anger taking over in his voice again, you wince as if his tone of voice could physically hurt you, like his fist hurt his teammates.

"then who?" you whisper, suddenly feeling a boost of confidence you haven't in a long time.

"what?" he asks so quietly you can barely hear him over the hum of the music playing through the speakers.

"who do I deserve? because ever since I moved here you seem to have a lot of ideas of who I should date and shouldn't. I know we've known each other our entire life's but that doesn't give you the right to cock block me every chance you get Trevor!" by the end you are red in the face from your screaming confession.

"Y/N you deserve someone who will love you! Who knows you like the back of their hand. Someone who won't ever hurt you even if it's by accident. Someone who can give you everything you ever hoped for and more. Someone who will sit with you while you rant about the newest project at work or your new favorite obesession for the month. You deserve someone who will stay up late with you just to spend time with you because they missed you. You deserve someone who can give you the world. You deserve someone better than me and that little fucker isn't better than me." Trevor's face is one of pure shock . His eyes are wide, his mouth slightly ajar as he realizes what he just confessed.

"Trevor." Unbuckling your seatbelt so you can get closer to him, even thoguh you are already in a small space. "what if all I want is you?" you ask, leaning closer to him.

But he shakes his head pleading, "no you deserve better."

"no there isn't" you reason, taking your hands resting them on either side of his face, resting your forehead against you.

'what if I hurt you." he confesses

"you won't" leaning close enough that your lips are almost touching.

"you don't know that."

"I know that you doing nothing is hurting me more than you ever could hurt me by trying." His eyes snap open at your words. "please kiss me Z." That's all it takes for him to close to space between you both.

Bee's 200 Followers "Ice Cream Parlor" Event!

Hi everyone, I haven’t quite hit 200 yet but I’m pretty close and I wanted to do a fun event since I haven’t gotten to do many events on this blog, so I’m holding a little “ice cream parlor” event to celebrate! If you were around for my Valentine’s Day event this is pretty similarly structured, please feel free to send in requests because I’ve been in need of inspiration recently and I’m personally really excited about this event! Please read the event explanation below and feel free to send in a request after that, I’m excited to see what you guys come up with! :D

Explanation:

In order to send in a request, you have to choose an ice cream flavor and a topping for your ice cream at our ice cream parlor! Each ice cream flavor corresponds with a different character, and each topping corresponds with a different headcanon prompt I’ve been interested in writing! You can choose up to 3 flavors and 1 topping per request, but the catch is that you don’t know which character corresponds with which flavor and which headcanons correspond with which topping! You’ve just gotta choose randomly and see which character(s) and headcanons you wind up with! 

For this event I only chose characters I feel 100% confident writing for, these aren’t the only characters I write for but they’re the ones I feel most comfortable writing as of now, so the characters included in this list are Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, Shoto Todoroki, Denki Kaminari, Eijiro Kirishima, Hanta Sero, Tenya Iida, Tamaki Amajiki, Mirio Togata, Shinsou Hitoshi, Dabi/Touya Todoroki, Shigiraki, Shota Aizawa, Hawks/Keigo Takami, Ochaco Uraraka, Momo Yaoyorozu, Mina Ashido and Himiko Toga! These characters aren’t listed in the same order as their ice cream flavors, and each character’s ice cream flavor was chosen by a random generator, so there’s no way for you to know which character you’re picking! Just choose whatever sounds best to you, and I’ll give you whatever headcanons you end up choosing!

One World Deli Opens Biggest Branch in San Juan City

One World Deli opened its latest and biggest branch in San Juan City last August 7, 2023 with a resounding celebration. The event welcomed more than 200 guests who gathered to partake in a night of delectable indulgence and culinary education.

One World Deli San Juan is located at The Corner House, C.M. Recto St., cor. P. Guevarra St. One World Deli is part of PYC Foods Corporation, which is the company behind such food concepts as Pardon My French, One World Butchers, Fleur, and soon-to-open Japanese concept, Tokugawa.

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as attendees, including San Juan Mayor Francis Zamora, walked into the space marked by various pods, from meats, to seafood, and more. The grand opening, a testament to the deli's commitment to excellence, promised a sneak peek into the remarkable offerings that awaited the eager public. Jun Sy, the man behind One World Deli, kicked off the night with a few words of welcome as guests gathered around the deli floor. 

A highlight of the evening was the unique opportunity to engage with experts from various fields, whose items are available on the deli shelves and counters. Among them were Christian Schmidradner of SeaTrace International, Nicolo Durian of Pedro Farms, chef John Lees of The Tattooed Baker, Jamir Ocampo of Tsaa Laya, Michael Harris Conlin of Henry & Sons, chocolate expert Christian Valdes, Gelato Manila’s Zarah Manikan, One World Deli’s own Ian Santos for wine and Nadine Howell for pasta and pizza, as well as Ana Niguidula and Pia Sy of For Keeps. 

As the evening unfolded, tantalizing aromas wafted through the air, offering a preview of the gourmet treasures that One World Deli San Juan had in store. Those in attendance sampled a selection of meats which were handpicked by meat experts Vicky Lauchengco and chef Migs Gianan.

While at the Seafood Bar, Irish Gallagher oysters and fresh yellowfin tuna from SeaTrace were in abundance. Libations were aplenty at the Top Tipples area, where AWC Philippines poured glasses of their fine wines, while Fever Tree, KMV Cruxland, and Perrier presented a selection of gin and mixers. Asahi, Heineken, and Monkey Eagle also provided cold beers, and Fruit Garden served refreshing fresh juices.

Other partners that showed their support for One World Deli that evening included A Buzz from the Bees, Baken, Burrp, Cux Salt, Happy Brew, Hijo, Pili & Pino, The Tattooed Baker, Tierra de España, and Unang Gisa, amongst so many others.

The opening of their San Juan branch not only marked the expansion of One World Deli but also affirmed its status as a culinary destination that encapsulates good food, innovation, and community. but lately, something felt off.

hinata was acting aloof, unfocused and distant. staying out late and coming home at odd hours in the night to your condo, you had a feeling that hinata was hiding something. it was something big, something earth-shattering.

stripping yourself of your robe and lingerie, you got into something more comfortable and climbed back into bed. maybe tonight would be a sad movie and mint chocolate chip ice cream kind of night.

“maybe bo can come over,” you mumbled to yourself, getting your phone out to text your best friend bokuto koutarou. you sent him a short message and waited for a response.

(y/n): hey bo! wanna have a movie night?

“oh wait, msby meeting!” you remembered before sending another text.

(y/n): oh! nvm! hinata told me that msby is having an emergency meeting.

your phone dinged with a new message.

owl boy: emergency meeting? we’re not having one.

your heart sank in your chest and you dialed bokuto’s number.

“hello?” he answered the call after the third ring. 

“bo, i think sho–” you paused, “..shoyo is cheating on me.”

“what?!” you pulled your phone away from your ear at the sudden volume increase. bokuto cleared his throat and continued, “what makes you think he’s cheating?”

“well..” you thought back on the moments that made you suspicious. there were the times hinata came home at weird times, of course. but then you remembered the perfume and the lipstick stains that didn’t belong to you. you told bokuto all about it, tears forming in your (e/c) eyes when you rehashed the memories.

“oh jeez..” bokuto exhaled, “i’m so sorry, (y/n).”

“you think i’m right, don’t you?” you asked.

a pause from bokuto.

“i don’t want to admit it but from the looks of it.. it sounds like he’s cheating.”

your heart broke.

“i have to find him,” you stood up, “bo, give him a call. ask him where he is. see what he says.”

“okay..” bokuto answered, “i’ll text you the details shortly.”

you hung up and tossed the phone aside, grabbing your purse and keys. your phone buzzed with a new message only a few moments later. you picked the phone up and checked the message.

owl boy: says he’s at ichimuan with you :/

you exhaled, time to bust a cheater.

a short drive later, you found yourself standing outside the entrance to ichimuan, a high end sushi restuarant. you made sure to dress nice to avoid getting stopped at the door, a low cut black dress and matching heels. you were dressed for a funeral.

hinata shoyo’s funeral, to be exact.

“hi there, i have a reservation. under hinata,” you flashed the host a smile when you entered the restaurant. a part of you wanted hinata not to be there, for all of this to be one stupid mistake. 

“i wasn’t aware the hinata reservation was expecting a third guest.”

third guest. that meant two people were there under the name hinata.

“i’m a surprise,” you giggled sheepishly. the host nodded, “understood. follow me, miss.”

you trailed behind the host and followed him into the main area of the restaurant, couples alike dining and chitchatting with one another. it made you sick, knowing that hinata was here in such a romantic place with someone who wasn’t you.

“hinata-san, your third guest has arrived.”

you stared at hinata. he stared back.

“sho? who’s this?” the blonde haired girl holding hinata’s hands asked.

“she’s– i’m his fiancé,” you cut hinata off.

the girl immediately retracted her hands from hinata, “your fiancé?!”

“hitoka, it’s not what it looks like!” hinata exclaimed. you placed your hands on your hips and shook your head, “it’s exactly what it looks like. you’re cheating on me, hinata shoyo.”

the girl– hitoka– stood up and dumped her glass of wine on hinata’s head, “you liar! you told me you broke things off with your fiancé!”

“mind handing me a glass too, hitoka-chan?” you gestured to hinata’s wine glass. hitoka smiled and handed it to you, “of course not,” watching you dump another glass of wine over hinata’s head.

by now, all eyes were on the three of you, some guests taking their phones out to record the scene. you turned to hitoka and grinned, “hitoka, was it?”

“yachi, yachi hitoka. and your name?”

“(l/n), (l/n) (y/n). let’s get out of here, hitoka-chan.”

“after you,” she stepped aside. you turned on your heel to leave before stopping. you faced hinata and smiled, “here,” before taking off your engagement ring and dropping it in hinata’s hand, “the wedding’s off.”

speakless, hinata watched helplessly as you and yachi left the restaurant. the two of you went to your car and hopped inside, driving off after you offered yachi a ride home.

“i’m so sorry, (y/n)-chan. i thought he was single.. he told me that you two had broken things off,” yachi explained the situation. you gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder and told her, “you were tricked. just like me. i have no bad blood with you.”

yachi sighed out in relief, “thank god.. i hope we can be friends after this. you seem really nice, (y/n)-chan. you didn’t deserve this.”

you grinned, “i’d love to be friends with you.”

arriving at yachi’s apartment, the two of you exchanged numbers and hugs. at least, you got a new friend out of this mess. you drove back to your condo and headed back inside, the reality of the situation hitting you full force.

“god..” you wiped away your tears hastily, “why wasn’t i enough for him?”

“(y/n)?”

you whipped your head around and gasped. it was bokuto.

“i came as soon as i could. i saw the video,” your best friend embraced you tightly. you furrowed your brow at the mention of a video, “video? what video?”

“this,” he pulled out his phone and went on youtube, selecting a video labeled msby player caught cheating - fiancé and girlfriend get revenge. in the video, you rewatched you and yachi dump wine over hinata’s head.

“it has already hit a million views,” bokuto cupped your cheeks and his expression softened at the sight of your tears, “oh, (y/n).. i’m so sorry.”

“w- why did he do this?” you whimpered, “why wasn’t i enough?”

“oh, you’re more than enough!” bokuto protested, “hinata is an idiot.”

you laid your head against bokuto’s chest, “i don’t know what i would do without you, bo.”

“i’m glad to be here for you,” he pressed a kiss to your head.

at least, you had bokuto koutarou by your side.

“Who knew a wizard boy like you could make pancakes?” Y/N sticks her tongue out at her boyfriend, Harry, from the kitchen table. She was spending the night at his flat, and after their fourth movie, they decided pancakes were necessary. Their relationship was still very new, so this was the most amount of time they’ve ever spent together. 

“I make the best pancakes, thank you very much.” He slid the spatula under the pancake and flipped it. 

“I’ve never tried them made out of bananas before,” She stood up and walked over to Harry, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. Harry strains his neck to glance at the girl and smiles. 

“Mrs. Weasley always used to make them,” he picked up the finished flapjack and put it on a plate. “They’re good. Very sweet, like you.” 

Y/N groaned and pressed her face into Harry’s back. Vibrations from his laugh pulse through her arms. 

“Sleepy?” Harry poured new batter onto the pan and turned so Y/N was now pressed against his stomach. 

“What gives you that impression, Potter?” 

“Your eyes are closed.” 

Y/N looked up at Harry and grinned. Without thinking, she leaned up and pressed her lips against his. 

Harry grew stiff with shock before closing his eyes and happily kissing back. His lips tasted vaguely of popcorn and candy from hours prior, but it was absolutely heavenly. Kissing him felt even better than Y/N had ever imagined. Harry’s hands came to rest on either side of Y/N’s face while her’s remained locked around his waist. 

They hadn’t planned on pulling away anytime soon, but the smoke alarm rudely interrupted them.

     About a year into your friendship, when you first told Matt about the reason you’d been single for so long, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d gotten so angry. But not at you of course, he didn’t think he could ever be upset at you. He was angry at your piece of shit ex-boyfriend. 

When he finally worked up the courage to tell you that he was Daredevil, you didn’t run. You simply put your hands on either side of his face, and asked if he was okay. You said you couldn’t imagine how hard it was to do what he did nearly every night, and that he didn’t have to keep this secret alone anymore. When you promised to be there for him whenever he needed you, Matt nearly broke down. You were perfect.

The topic came up one night when he’d invited you over. And he noticed something, so he asked why you’d be excitedly talking about something, and then you would suddenly get quiet and just shrug it off. You said that some people might find your rambling annoying and that you were working on not talking so much. Matt loved when you talked so passionately about anything you loved. He could listen to you for hours and hours and still not be tired. Your voice was his favorite sound in the world, how could anyone grow tired of it?

It was clear that this wasn’t a conclusion that you had come to on your own, that someone had instilled it in you, that you were told you shouldn’t talk so much. Matt almost dropped the subject, but it was clear that something was bothering you, so he stood up, pulling you into his arms, and asked what happened. You shrugged, saying it was just some things from the past, and that you didn’t want to bother him.

“You could never bother me. If you don’t want to talk about it, it’s okay, but I’m here. You know that, right?”

So you told him. You first asked if you had ever told him why your last relationship ended, because you genuinely couldn’t remember if you’d told him. He said you hadn’t, and you gave him the long-story-short version of events.

Your last relationship was extremely toxic. He was controlling, constantly gaslighting you, but you stayed because he had convinced you that no one else would love you. You were the light of Matt’s life, so to hear that you had your heart broken by a guy who told you that you were “too much”, he suddenly didn’t care about morals, or being a lawyer. He wanted to kill the man that broke your heart.

“Hey sweetheart, look at me.” Matt gently puts his hands on either side of your face, placing a soft kiss on your forehead. “I’m sorry I asked, if it was too much for you. But I want you to know that you are perfect. Hearing you talk about the things you love makes my day. Whenever anything good happens, you’re the first person that I want to tell because you always want to celebrate with me. Even when it’s something bad, you’re the only voice that I want to hear because you always know exactly what to say.”

“I’m sorry to dump all of this on you,” you sigh, leaning in to his touch.

“You don’t ever have to apologize to me for talking about that.”

You look down, tears filling your eyes again. “You probably would’ve liked me a lot better if you had met me before. I want to get back to that person that I was, I think I was a lot more carefree and—”

Matt cuts you off, pulling you close once again. As he kept one hand on your back and used the other to run his fingers through your hair, tilted his head back and blinked a few times, trying to stop his own tears from falling. “What someone else did to you, that’s not who you are.”

You were genuinely the best person that Matt knew. Without a doubt, the best thing that ever happened to him. You’re kind, caring, gentle, you loved him in a way he didn’t even know was possible, and in a way that he sometimes still didn’t think he deserved. Hearing you so down about yourself, he couldn’t help but wonder who were you, before he broke your heart?

“I just want you to see that that guy was an idiot. That there are people out there who see you and love you for who you really are. I love when you come over early in the mornings if we both have the day off and we cook breakfast while you list off every possible thing that we could do. You’re the only person who knows exactly what to say when I’ve been having a bad day, you saved my life and patched me up more times than I can count, I honestly don’t know where I’d be without you. I hate that you had your heart broken, but I promise I will do everything I can to make sure that doesn’t happen again. You deserve all the hearts and flowers and love that the world has to offer. You know before I met you, I used to spend most of my free time alone? And I never minded, I was… content, I guess? I wouldn’t say I was happy but I was… okay. Now though, all I want is to spend more time with you.”

Now the tears really fell. As you thanked Matt and finally felt your anxiousness going away, you realized that the ‘relationship’ you were in before, that wasn’t love. The way Matt cares for you, the way he knows just how to hold you to calm you down and make you feel safe, you feel it in your bones, that’s love.

The truth was that you’d developed a crush on Matt not long into your friendship. But you were sure he didn’t feel the same way, so you always kept quiet. He was the best person that you knew, and you’d rather have him as a best friend, than risk pushing him away. And tonight definitely the time to tell him how you felt, but maybe you could someday.

As Matt continued to hold you in his arms, part of his mind thinking about paying your ex a visit, he knew that now wasn’t the time to tell you how he felt about you. He’d be there for you in any way that he could, as long as you’d let him, and when you were both ready, he’d tell you how he felt.

“I didn’t say it back just now, but I love you Matt. Thank you for everything.” You smiled, sighing with content as your head continued to rest on his chest and you focused on his heartbeat.

Okay, maybe he wouldn’t be able to wait that long.

Brooklyn's Lola Brooke is having an explosive 2023, and the love from her city just keeps pouring in from all angles. Just some days ago, Lola Brooke performed alongside Lil Kim at the Apollo Theater in Harlem. Now, she’s been invited by Bronx rapper A Boogie wit da Hoodie to open for his international tour. Lola Links With A Boogie The "Me vs Myself Tour" begins Feb 7 in Denver and includes stops like Washington, Toronto, and Oakland. The tour wraps up Mar 11 at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, New York. Following the North American portion of the "Me vs Myself Tour", Lola and A Boogie will visit the UK starting Mar 22 at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, England. A Boogie is one of the most prolific rappers to come out of New York in the past decade. His latest album Me vs Myself had over 50,000 units sold in its first week, becoming his fourth top entry on the Billboard 200 chart. The LP, released in early December, went toe to toe with SZA's massively successful project SOS and held its own despite the years of hype preceding her project.
