Bee and Puppycat has some hilarious frames and I very much needed to draw them, so here are some. Bonus Lukas because I just think he and Deckard are neat :)

Had an autism moment the other day and I’m gonna talk about it.

Oooouuuoaaaggghhhhhhh songs about pushing through the hardships of life with nautical themes my beloved. The song in green and yellow text (left side) is Learn How to Surf by Owl City, and the song in turquoise text (right side) is C’mon Sea Legs by Immaculate Machine. The other day I heard C’mon Sea Legs for the first time in a few years, and if you haven’t heard either song, it has a much more somber tone than Learn How to Surf. I was immediately like “Oh man these two songs are two sides of the same coin,” after which I was like “I have to relate this to my special-est interest Bee and Puppycat.” As one does.

See, I have had an AU of Bee and Puppycat in my head for over a year now in which Bee is a Lighthouse keeper, and Wesley is still super into fishing, spending as much time as he can on the water. Both are depressed, and are trying to help each other through said depression, but give each other what they themselves need, rather than what the other needs; they carry over their inability to read and convey social cues from canon.

Anyway, I wanted to draw them with day/night theming to go with the two songs and how they sound to me, and how I think they relate to the characters.

PS: I like how the water turned out in this.

Ofc shinpachi and otae will be deckard and cass, tho i couldnt find a good design for shinpachi lol

couldnt decide but cardomom and violet either could be katsura and elizabeth (because katsura was in gintoki's past like violet) OR literally otose and tama cuz they literally are the landlord in the show which would be hilarious

very stupid idea but kondo and kyubei can both fight on who will be toast

What happened to Hazel and Cardamom? Did they become Stevonnie’s siblings?

Another question about an old fic,I am LOVING this! Again,might start working on the next chapter eventually so any super spoilers will be kept to a minimum so unfortunately I can't answer the your first question

As for your second question, Stevonnie and Hazel definitely consider each other siblings. Hazel admires how tough and strong they are while also being so understanding and kind. Stevonnie admires how she can see the best in people and always wants to help, it reminds them of Steven but without all the trauma. That's partially reason why they're so hesitant to mention anything gem related, they don't want Hazel go through what Steven did in SU Future. While we're at it Stevonnie and Hazel both see Hunter as their brother. Hunter doesn't want to admit it out loud but he sees them both as family too. He tries to act professional as the Steward but he can loosen up sometimes to mess around with them. He says he's so protective over them because its his job but they all know he really does care about them and loves them like family

For Cardamon, he just got on the train and wants to go home as soon as possible so while he is thankful he doesn't really plan on getting attached. In the first chapter though when he Hazel actively tries to befriend him he starts loosening up, not really used to anyone his age actually trying to be his friend. What I can say is that Cardamon slowly does start getting close to everyone later on and eventually they do all see each other as family

Hey! Told ya I'd be back with some shenanigans in space!

I actually hadn't properly designed RS yet and his was a good chance to do so!

I wanted to give a mix of metalworker/blacksmith and car mechanic cause Crispin is a mechanic and the blacksmith aesthetic is cool.

Also since RS is able to grow up without the pressure of being the sole heir to a crumbling kingdom and bearer of a power so strong that it could've ended the universe-

They get a little more freedom with their style here!

The spiked choker and black shoes with buckles were definitely their pick.

When not in their workshop, they mainly wear hoodies and always have the pencil tucked behind their ear to mark down any ideas that come to mind. (They're an inventor after all)

The patch on his apron with the chicken is inspired after the headcanon that RS had a pet chicken and Mk definitely got the patch for them.

The charm on their belt is also from Mk, in this au they previously lived together as boyfriends until ig they had a quiet breakup due to unfortunate circumstances and RS moved back downstairs.

Although, they absolutely still have lingering feelings for a certain noodle boy~ an ex who hasn't fully let go of their feelings if you will.

hilda x bee and puppycat au with an extra episode where bee gets a temp job at *idk what name her planet would be anyway* planet and meets hilda, the caretaker of all the wildlife in there and she explains she doesent need help and just wants someone to hang out with so bee and puppycat just chill w the animals there, sign the elfs paperwork, climb her fave tree etc and eventually bee asks what the house (hildas old house before she moved to trolberg) is and hilda says its where she used to live, and even though she knows its there she cant go in it, bee doesent like that and goes near it anyway which results in them being chased by a mountain giant, eventually they kill it but it also kills the house, so hilda doesent have a memory of it and bee feels bad, so she left a bunch of the bubbles (the ones cardamoms mom cries after she ate a crystal) in the forest and hilda likes them which marks the end of the episode. probably would be called “I Can’t Really Go Home” or sumn
