Like, my mom’s aunt sent over a family Christmas card. On the card are all three of their kids, two of which I have no memory of seeing as long as I have memories. However, I’ve heard endless shit about the oldest daughter. She’s (apparently) this attention seeking, lazy, manly, fake woman who is fooling no one, and her gender is soooo crazy that my family, despite their very best efforts, can’t seem to stop misgendering her! Why must she make things so difficult! Anyways I see the card and am honestly a bit confused for a second as to who the genuinely gorgeous, conventionally attractive woman is until it clicks. Oh right. They’re fucking delusional. So I can’t stop looking at this card every time I’m in the kitchen with the constant internal monologue of “oh god she’s so pretty. She transitioned and she’s gorgeous (I know this doesn’t really matter but still obviously people have goals and she definitely met those damn goals), her family loves and excepts her, and oh right. Mine never will.”

My brother, being the bigoted piece of shit he is, felt the need to come home today, shine a flashlight on the card and start going “hmm, is this a…man?” Trying to get everyone’s attention. He then quickly double checked that the other girl was in fact the cis one, before doubling down becuase obviously HE CAN’T FUCKING TELL. THEY CAN NEVER FUCKING TELL. Just fucking infuriating. Despite clearly referring to her as a woman the rest of the conversation out of instinct.

Again, like I know this is not a hot take, like, at all. There is a reason I read so much fucking fanfic about healing internalized homophobia and transphobia and so much fucking found family. But it’s just like, how the fuck are situations like these not caricatures? How is this over the top shit not a skit and the real stuff more subtle? like I genuinely don’t understand. And this is coming from someone who threw themselves into that awful performance for the first 17 years of my life. Every thought I had had to be justified and checked. Every opinion had to come from someone trusted. I was told the school system was evil and trying to brainwash me and I believed it. Like how is this something happening?

Sry for this I’m just fucking angry. I’m not out, I’m fully dependent on a transphobic and homophobic family due to disability so I won’t be coming out, and if I did I’d be treated like shit no matter what. I could fully transition and be a dad with a beard and I don’t think they’d see me as a man then. I’ll wear something feminine one time and they’ll use it as ‘proof’. A suburb doesn't need to look like the wastelands they build in America. A suburb can look like this:

Both of these are from Syndey, Australia, from the inner west, and mid northwest. The first probably began mid to late 19th C, the latter from the 80s.

Both have decent provision of busses, and small shops and parks are like 10 minutes away, but many people still prefer to drive, because it's hilly and cars have aircon. But we don't really do the parking absolutely everywhere thing the USA does, you're expected to walk for a bit.

But more to the point, look at the urban canopy. You get birds of all kinds, possums, frogs, lizards, and all sorts of little guys living near the people.

Sadly, most of the new development looks like this:

And this is a relativity good patch (these are all from my own photos). Some of these trees could get a decent size, but the lack of space for gardens, and hight of the houses makes achieving a propper urban canopy difficult.

A mix with more medium density and more semi-private greenspace would be more sensible. These suburbs have neither the advantages of density, or that of older leafy suburbs. But they can be marketed as detached houses.

The Western Sydney urban heat island has been the hottest place on earth a few times.

So many people talking about the terrible environmental impacts of suburban sprawl, but I can't find anybody proposing an actionable improvement...

Looking up and opening my eyes, it takes a second for the white spots to disappear. When they do, they reveal a sprig of mistletoe hanging directly above Heeseung and I.

“Shit.” I whisper under my breath. Heeseung opens his eyes at the same exact time and follows my gaze towards the ceiling. Registering what we’re both looking at, he mirrors the stunned expression on my face.

It’s an unwritten rule in our friend group that if two people were caught standing under the mistletoe, they must kiss—regardless if the two victims were willing to do so or not.

Heeseung and I stare at each other with wide eyes before quickly attempting to sprint in opposite directions.

We were both stopped by our friends—I was stopped by Sunghoon and Heeseung was stopped by Jake.

“Not so fast,” a voice says from behind us, making Heeseung and I jump.

We quickly turn around to find Jay smirking at us, “you guys know the rules, we’re waiting.” He says in a teasing manner.

My breath hitches and I lick my lips out of nervousness. I look up at Heeseung only to see his eyes staring intently at my now wet lips.

In one swift motion, Heeseung places his hand on the back of my head and pulls me in for a soft kiss. I expected him to pull away a second later, but instead, I feel him deepen it.

So when he comes home to the tree being already half decorated and you fidgeting with a few more lights to put into it, he only leans into the door frame and watches you.

Of course, he loves to help you decorating it. But he also knows how stressed you are to make everything pretty, to have everything perfect.

Something he loves you for. As much as he hates having you stressed out or doing stuff on your own when he could help, he also knows that some things will help you to calm down.

“Thought I said you should wait with the tree so I can help you, cupcake,” he says. His soft is voice and not a hint of judgement, but he just couldn’t help himself. “It looks beautiful, just like you.”

Lloyd pushes himself off the doorframe and walks closer to you. His eyes never leaving you until he wraps his strong arms around you to pull you closer. Your back resting against his broad chest and he takes a few steps backwards with you to admire the Christmas tree.

Before you can open your mouth to tell him it’s not finished yet he leans his head down. His chin resting on your shoulder and you can feel his warm breath against your neck.

“How about I’m gonna help you finishing the tree and after we can make some hot chocolate and eat those delicious cookies we made, cupcake?” He suggests, exhausted form his mission but never too bad to not help you or jsut spend time with the love of his life.

You nod, leaning your head back to enjoy his warmth and affection for a moment before you have to jump back in the hectic of Christmas. At least until the tree is decorated, after you will sit down with Lloyd, snuggled into his side while you’re watching the grinch, because it’s just way too funny to have Lloyd complaining that he would never do it like that.

You and tooth usually celebrate together,she does get more work during hallowing because of all the candy but she spends the most of her time with you

She helps you hang up the decorations and spread the Halloween feels

However you havnt done that yet,not only that but you dont have that much time left you only have a month

Once tooth realizes that somethings wrong she'll immidatly do ask the other guardians if they had seen you or if they had heard something from you,the results all come back the same,you were seemingly no where

She decided to check the globe,that could have a clue right?

That's when she noticed there were many less lights then usual,and that when it started to line up..

People were forgetting about you.

The last time you had spoke before going radio silent you had mentioned that it wasnt even October and people were advertising Christmas things

She had realised that you had probally hid yourself away becuase of this

When she does eventually find you shes understandable very worried for you.

After she gets a thorough explanation she'll waste no time in helping you with preparations

However first off,she has to get you in the Halloween mood,as your current one is rather sour,and we cant have that!

Hes used to people neglecting his holidays for others

easter isnt all ways widley celebrated so hes probally had a fear of fading aswell

he wont ever say it but due to the fact that your holidays is overlooked in favour for christmas,he holds a small grudge

he knows its not norths fault but hes just salty

hes very happy go lucky and isnt used or very good at adapting to change

id like to think that he was quite close to you even before becoming a guardian,because halloween is in the colder months of the year

it might take another guardian to point out your abscents or off behaviour

once its been pointed out to him hes going on a man hunt for you

altough he wasnt in an entirely similar situation,he still knows what its like to feel isolated,scared and alone,and as his S/o he dosnt want yuo feeling the same

all the elves and yeti's take a day off,to decorate pumpkins.

he'll probaly also reach out to the other guardians,inviting them all over so you can all celebrate together.<3

sandy is very intune with the going oon in the world,aswell as being extremly intuitive

hes probally seen this coming though he didnt think itd be to such an extent where it'd cause you distress

after feeling a particullary cold gust of autaum wind its clear something is wrong

he wasnt very surprised since he had a nagging feeling it'd happen,apart of him thinks that he might have just been denieing that you had the possibility to fade,that he was in denial

either way he had to push his own thoughts away as he had more importtant things to do,such as comforting you and restoring your holiday to its former glory,or at least try to.

after locating you hes quick to alert you of his precents though he may not be the best at calming you down since,he cant really speak.

hes most likely to put you to sleep and give you good dreams whilst brainstorming ideas to help your current dilema

once your awake and calm,he'll try his best to relay his ideas and help you

cutting pumpkins is a must

he will try his best to make candy with you

if you ever need some comfort just say the word and hes hugging you and trying his best to comfort you

he makes sure you have good dreams for days

he promises that he'll try his best to help you

he'll be dammed if he ever didnt go through with that promise to you.

Sebek:

you were in the ramshackle dorm, reading a book you had borrowed from the library, you didn't realize at the time but it was due yesterday, meaning you had an overdue library book, and your boyfriend, for some reason, liked to memorize the due date of your books, homework, assignments, etc. so he could make sure you got everything done on time.

there was a firm knock on the door, you called for them to enter and Sebek walked in, he looked at the book in your hands before frowning at you

"wasn't that book due yesterday" he asked, crossing his arms stepping closer to you

"was it?" you responded checking the stamp at the front "hm well damn, it was" you laughed slighly at your mistake

Sebek however, didnt find this funny, he snatched your book away turning around "im returning this"

"im not done reading it though" you jumped onto his back and reached for the book, he stumbled a bit before regaining his balance, he extanded his arm, furthering the book from your grasp, you bit down on his shoulder.

he spun around, forget you were on his back and not on the ground, causing you to almost get flung off, you instintuly bit diown harder, drawing a slight whimper from Sebek "y-y/n, i-i cant, we are so young, a-and you havent met my family, andiloveyoubutimnotreadyformarriage (i love you but im not ready for marriage)

you let go of him, looking at him confused "tf you mean marriage? are you high?"

"y-you bite me! for the Fae's thats a proposal"

"...oh"

"..."

"you aren't a Fae though?"

"oh.... right"

"DID YOU FORGET?" you burst out laughing

Lilia:

he assumed you didn't know Fae customs, your a human from another world, however, when he felt you teeth scrape against his neck he forgot all of that, he was on one knee in a fucking instant

"you want to marry me hmm? you young people and your forwardness" he seemed calm on the outside, but on the inside he was melting, he loved you more than words could ever describe,. when he saw you confused expression his heart sank, his smirk wavered for a moment before returning, weaker than before,

"ah I suppose you dont know, for Fae, you just asked me to marry you" he watched as your face heated up, flushing with red, he patted your head as you apologized for the mix up. he grabbed your hand, pulling you closer to him and placing his lips on your neck, he kissed you softly, before opening his mouth and pressing his small, but sharp fangs against your skin, he bit down, not hard enough to draw blood but enough to make you flinch

"wether you say yes or not is up to you, but the offer is always there" before you could say anything he was gone
