do you ever think about tesan and how tragic her life is. do you ever think about how much betrayal did she go through, & do you ever think about her still going and still fighting for what's right????

at first, she's betrayed by her parents. they leave her at orde's orphanage. she looks like an angel but grows up to be an abomination of some devilish creature mixed with divine goddess. her guardians love her, & she's raised in faith of glory — the god of justice and war, and all things righteous and good, and she prays to him daily — even for her peers to be healthy and happy despite being bullied due to her appearance to the point of a broken horn, claws and fangs.

and there's this boy, damien, an aasimar — direct descendant of gods, loved and respected by everyone and he loves her deeply, always standing up whenever she's being mistreated. he gives her a necklace with glory's symbol that has the chains melted, meaning their love has no end and nothing can part them either. she's six or seven and he says they'll be husband and wife, and stands by what he declared even when he's being adopted by nobility, agreeing to serve the kingdom under one condition — tesan is going with him.

she's taken as servant and maid, and whilst damien studies for war tactics and sword fighting, she's in addition his personal assistant. he passes the knowledge onto her, gets her a position in the knights order as their combat medic, so they won't get separated and so he's sure she's being safe. he's with her the entire time. claims he's going to marry her despite his adoptive parents disapproval. he turns into the kingdom's strongest knight, strongest paladin. everybody knows him.

there's a crusade tesan is forbid from attending. she listens. damien comes back and doesn't even look at her, doesn't speak to her, doesn't acknowledge her existence. her heart is broken. she's yet again betrayed by someone that could be considered family.

from then on, she serves under the church. church rules orde, too. she's not convenient for the kingdom, so she's being sent to far away lands that have just been conquered. she's to be a medic there. she's praying day and night for her god to listen and explain why does she have to suffer, why is she being sent away from her guardians at the orphanage, why is she looking like this and why does glory hate her and the god, one who has directly blessed tesan with his powers, stays quiet. betrayal number three — when even the god of justice abandons you.

so, she's in khao, supporting the army, & she's tasked to work alongside a local hunter — tabaxi panther of the name drakth. they sooner or later form a bound, and tesan believes there may be happiness awaiting her in the end. drakth lets her into his lair and allows her to treat his wounds, even if he believes and wishes to die in battle with a creature he cannot kill.

but he too disappears without a word after years of being by tesan's side. when they meet by accident, years later, he says it's because she was distracting. he couldn't focus on hunting, because he thought of her. she thinks, she was just a prey. she leaves khao. it's the fourth time she's been betrayed and abandoned by those who she loved most.
