we know lando cares very deeply about how fans/media view their friendship. he felt he had to clear up he didn't race max hard in 2023 bc there's no point duh max was in rocketship, he could not compete, didnt make sense for his own result to put up a fight, it's not bc he is max's mate!!!! stop saying that PLEASEEE!!!!! went far to say that "we're not best friends." and i get that. just bc max doesn't let fans/media opinion get to him, it doesn't mean it's easy for lando to do the same.

max considers lando his best friend from the grid bc lando was the first driver who had the same interests as him back in 2019. finally someone from the grid understood max's sim racing obsession. lando didn't make fun of max's love for video games bc he also loved to play them. their iracing/COD streams back in 2019/2020 were fun and the reason they got close. as lando moved to monaco they started hanging out together, max loves a good party and so does lando now so to sass cafe we go. lando couldn't get max into golf god bless but they love to play padel. etc.

lando was very much a fan of max when he first got into f1. once i was stalking this inactive max fan page on instagram and noticed lando liked a bunch of posts back in 2018 😭 he saw max winning the big titles in karting. i think a few max fans are annoyed by some of lando's actions/interviews right now but they forget how he was/is always very complimentary of max as a driver/person in interviews. how he asked in the 2020 70th anniversary gp who won the race and his reaction to race engineer saying max was "legend." how he was team max throughout the whole 2021 season. how even last year he asked british fans to not boo max in silverstone. etc. and max was always there backing up lando too. stating he believes lando has what it takes to be a world champion in the future, that he made the right choice by staying in mclaren and having faith in the project.

IN 2024 they both have a fast car and they can compete against each other. max is a three time world champion, he aint got nothing else to prove. he has beaten lewis fucking hamilton. lando is the one who has everything to prove. he has to prove he can fight max hard now and back up his words. the pressure is all on lando. so how lando talks about max in race weekends, how he reacts to max's performances on track is going to change naturally. those max fans have to accept that. but things won't change for max, because max has been winning for so long now. max knows how to take losses. how to quickly recover from mistakes.

and ofc max being happy for lando in miami was ok, it was first win, everyone was happy for him. but lando doesn't want to see max happy anymore. i just beat you to pole and you come up to me to gossip about leclerc's lack of penalty??? who the fuck cares, can't you be at least a bit mad? lando will sulk after a race he feels he should've won, while max will quickly get over a p2 in miami even if he got fucked over by a SC. lando will entertain hypotheticals bc it helps knowing he was close to a win again, while max dgaf he could've won miami, he's all praises for lando.

lando does not have the self confidence max has. lando will question himself. it's normal. lando will feel conflicted. he doesn't want max to play nice with him, he doesn't want max's sympathy after he just lost a race. sympathy is just a knife. he knows it's sincere coming from max, and especially bc it's sincere he feels belittled by it. it's silly and he doesn't even want to feel that way. is he not worthy of being max's RIVAL? he doesn't want max to explain to him after the race how his aggressive move opened up the door to george overtake them both. he doesn't want max to be laughing at him in the press con. can max take me seriously for a sec?

Why did you choose your url? 

My url used to be fairy-frolic. I wanted a sims-related name and fairy frolic is an interaction two fairies can do with each other in ts3! Over time I grew tired of the hypenated url and changed to faeriefrolic. The fae are my favorite lifestate in the sims and I have a fascination with them in general.

How long have you been on Tumblr?  I had a personal/aesthetics blog since around 2009-2010? I created a simblr around 2013 when I started playing ts3. Most of my older content was wiped during blog cleanses (rip the lattes, cookies, crystals...) I wish I kept my old posts, it would be nice to look back on them and reread old legacies tbh.

I had one for my personal blog (mew queue) but I don’t currently use one.

Why did you start your blog in the first place? 

I was posting screenshots on my main blog, but my blog was mainly cottagecore/pastel aesthetics. Then I found out that tumblr had a sims community so I created a simblr!

I'm gonna lay myself bare, here: I literally found it on a list of potential usernames I'd made when I was in SIXTH GRADE. None of them were good, but for some reason THIS is the one I chose 😭 In my defense, I didn't realize I'd actually use this sideblog when I made it, and by the time I realized I was more active on this than my main it was too late to change :')) I like to think I've gotten better at writing since I was twelve, at least!

Yes, three! This is one of them, and then I have another dedicated to just doing image descriptions and one more where I reblog art for fandoms I'm not but wanna appreciate works for! 1. why did you choose your url?

My main — I was into The Who, and surprisingly Underture wasn’t taken like Quadrophenia. Never got around changing it, really.

For this blog, I’ve switched thru so many urls of my fixations at the moment lol and then I settled on twitoftheyear for a long while (which is from a Monty Python skit Upper Class Twit of the Year). And then Psych & Carlton Lassiter happened and I obviously I wanted to use carltonlassiter but it was taken, so I settled on this url.

1. why did you choose your url? my main blog is @onwardintolight (taken from a poem called The Onward Course by Richard Chenevix Trench), and I wanted something recognizably similar for my side blog. Also I’ve only been a kpop fan for about a year so the name fit. I may change it in the future, though; overall I feel kind of meh about it

2. any side blogs? this one! Also @rebelhopecosplay because I cosplay as Princess Leia from Star Wars. I haven’t updated it in awhile though; the pandemic has completely depleted my motivation since I haven’t been able to do any events much less the charity events that mean the most to me. I’ve posted a lot more consistently on my Instagram (same username) but it’s still been spotty lately. I’m working on another costume though and things are definitely looking up here so hopefully my spark will be back soon

4. do you have a queue tag? no, but I do use my queue when I feel like going on a posting spree haha! I guess I never really understood why people tag that? But if anyone wants me to tag it let me know! 

5. why did you start your blog in the first place? it’s my sister @ninquelote-and-culurien‘s fault. She pulled me into her kpop obsession and I don’t think I’ll ever escape! As for my main blog, I started because I’m constantly in need of a creative/expressive outlet and having a place where I could just post pretty pictures and write random things without the obligation of doing a long blog post every time appealed to me

8. what’s your post with the most notes? I’m not really a content creator on this side blog, but on my main blog this one has gotten a bit out of hand

14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog once? Not really but I was once kind of... adjacent to one? Over on my main blog I’m a fanfic writer and the fic community I was in had a massive fight for stupid reasons (they most often are). It was not pretty and some of my friends got hurt and long story short it’s probably the reason I’m not really as involved in that fandom anymore. I mostly stayed out of it but I dipped my toe in a few times in a (probably vain) attempt to defend both my friends and common sense

15. how do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts? I hate them with a burning passion. I never reblog them, even if I 100% agree with the rest of the post and would have reblogged it otherwise. For one, I refuse to let them have that sort of power over me. Second, and most importantly, I’m a firm believer (thanks in part to lots and lots of therapy, yay) that a shame-based approach to anything, including persuasion, is never a good or even particularly effective approach, at least in the long run. If you want to bully someone into falling in line out of fear and shame, then sure, those posts do the trick. But if you want to actually change someone’s heart and make the world a better place, don’t spread vile guilt trips. Speaking with grace and compassion is 1000x better

16. do you like tag games? yes! Even when I’m not able to get to it (though I usually get to it eventually) I love being tagged ❤

some highly disorganised highlights of mae reading mi (under the cut because long):

i genuinely managed to convince myself that loml adam parrish was dead for the first 13 chapters and cound not rest easy until he physically appeared (bonus points: i still have it all up in my head that loml adam parrish is gonna be dead in tdt3. scrying alone with fire in a harvard dorm room + jokes about a uni burning down = i’m scared.)

when bryde said he was a dream my brain did not decided to read the literal next page and keep learning more about his dream-ness. instead, i somehow came to the conclusion that bryde was actually matthew lynch, almost throw my book across the room, and had to stop reading and pace up and down a bit to calm down before i could continue.

speaking of matthew lynch, i love him and his $2 therapy session with jordan was so wholesome and i just want him to be happy and his ending plot twist made me saddest of all the endings.

and speaking of all the plot twist endings, here are a couple of crack theories that my brain spat out before i had time to even internalise what i had read: if ronan dreamt bryde, who’s to say he didn’t dream the entire moderators thing as well? if dreams are all falling asleep and jordan is still awake, she clearly cannot be a dream (no lie,when i read the lat page my brain just went ‘oh so her and hennessey swapped?’ because i am a whole idiot).

i’m soft for liliana, and i am especially soft for liliana tkaing carmen round 8(?) different craft stores in order to get the right colour of yarn to teach carmen how to knit with.

i’m still not over the fact that tiktok was a clearly established thing in this book. i’m pretty sure tiktok only even became a Thing when i was in university (2017/18ish?) and and i cannot deal with this fixing of the timeline because it is absolutely absurd that the events of trc didn’t happen in, like, 2012??

i know i already said that i am worried about adam dying but i don’t think he will actually die. i think that if maggie is going to kill one of the main cast it’ll be declan (sorry declan). i have absolutely no basis for this and i might’ve changed my mind on who the most likely death is tomorrow but right now. it’s him.

i have never wanted to punch a fictional character in the face as much as i wanted to punch bryde in the face for this entire book. i didn’t like him in cdth, but he really upped his game in mi.

in another case of ‘i convinced myslef that something was going to happen and then it didn’t’, i convinced myslef that when declan asked ronan to come to mass for a family meeting what i was going to get was a pynch reunion in a church. i got so overwhelmed by the thought of such a reunion that i cried a little bit. i could picture it in my head so clear that i think i made myslef believe that it was for sure 100% gonna happen and then it. didn’t. and i still feel empty without it. (@ maggie could i get a ummm church reunion in tdt3 it’s really important to me i am begging)

yes, i have an english literature degree. no, i don’t know how to analyse books and create plausible theories about where plots and character arcs are going. we exist.
