i don't think you're giving enough credit anna though, because at least to me it does seem during the hiatus a lot of the people that were giving BT a chance reverted back to Buddie. It's likely because they saw the writing on the wall for BT and also they woke up from the buzz of the newness of Tommy and realized there's absolutely nothing there. So a lot of people woke up from the spell of bi buck and realized the truth during the hiatus. I would say a majority of the fandom woke up. Sure there's still the dumb die hards who are filled with people who proudly say they have not watched all the previous seasons of the show.

Oh, no, honey, I'm fully aware of that. I've been watching people pop back into my notifications, suddenly back to interacting with my buddie shit, I've been watching people who were multishiping just go back to being mostly buddie, I've been watching the interaction with bt shit reduce. I just like poking at the people who went to war for Tommy simply because he's a man and now have to deal with the fact that they took things too far. The way people were going on and on about how he's the most compelling love interest Buck has ever had after exactly one kiss because they were blinded by the "Buck is bi" high and now don't know how to backtrack or to accept the fact that Tommy is a device to make Buck bi who had no development beyond that. Poking fun at the people who were spending a fortune on an actor to manipulate what counts as canon just for him to completely ditch them and force them to the reality that the show gave them NOTHING. Watch them scramble to act as if constantly dismissing Buck and poorly timed sex jokes is somehow a good thing. I know the majority of people who are multishiping are reasonable. My thing is not against the reasonable people who ship them. Reasonable people are not out in the world screaming about how awful Eddie and Ryan are. Reasonable people are not in people's inboxes calling them names just because they didn't fall head over heels for Tommy. Reasonable people aren't digging through interviews as if interviews prove something and wearing comments from 3 years ago as some fucked up badge of honor. Reasonable people aren't harassing actors as if having actor interaction somehow makes them superior. I know the majority of people are reasonable and understand the show and just wanted to have fun with the two of them but understand it for what it is on the show now that the high has settled. My problem was never and will never be with anyone who got caught up in the excitement but were enjoying it on their own playground. My problem is with everyone who continues to try and force this narrative that paints Tommy as a lot more than he is simply because he's a man and somehow act as if Buck's bisexuality is only valid for them if he's dating a guy. The people who want to say Buck's past relationships didn't work because he was dating women. The people who keep talking shit about Eddie simply because Eddie "is in the way". The people who try to act as if the relationship is perfect and Eddie should die alone just because Buck is getting dicked down. You can ship whatever makes you happy. You can write whatever makes you happy. You can headcanon whatever makes you happy. My problem is the insistence in manipulating canon to make Tommy seem better than he was written because they took it too far with no information and can't back out of it now. That's the only part of the fandom I have an issue with. I still follow people who ship them. I just don't interact with their pro shit, they ignore my anti shit and we exist in harmony. I just don't like the idea that I have to ship them or else I'm being weird about queer relationships or I'm ignoring Buck's choices or I'm just plain homophobic or couldn't possibly understand the complexities of their relationship just because I'm a woman. And I have a window to the worst of that because I live rent free in their heads for some reason and if I didn't make fun of the situation, I would lose my mind. I know people have woken up. I have never had a problem with that part of the fandom. I only have an issue with the ones who are still going to war over nothing.

My Main Ships (in the AU)

Figure I’ll list the ships in my AU. Some of them are what the tender youth would call ““problematic.”” I see them as ‘compelling’, ‘having actual stakes,’ and having challenging conflicts beyond ‘will they love meee in this coffeeshop?’. Many of these people canon and OC have been with this AU since its inception and serve up the many themes found in it. Yes, some of them overlap as I'm team let people grow and have experiences/multiship. Nemesis/Jill The bread and butter of this AU. Full of complication as to why each proceeded with *dramatic handwave* this. A lot of unhealthy coping with their mutual and separate traumas (other than you know that whole trying to kill each other biz). Also, fun toying with that human/monster divide and how intimacy is wildly different between the other in monstrous ways. Is by far the most complicated ship. Gets very unsettlingly trippy with that 'mental connection' they have these days. Nemesis/Zeus(OC) I was apparently doing monstery brocon/twincest before it had a name (also lol myth shout out)? In seriousness, this is one of the most toxic ships in the AU because the two essentially are what happens when abuse travels down the line leading to unhealthy copes. It just happens to be between two highly dangerous monsters who both lack the concept of what family much less consent is (or even orientation; neither gets what that is, gender is 'what humans need us to be') while raised in horrible captivity, with one very out of his damn mind. Also noting that this AU doesn't deal in 'perfect' victims. Chris/Sheva A tragic pair that came to be out of Chris cheating on Jill out of loneliness and the distance Jill’s trauma caused. Things resolved where these two became an item (with Jill’s blessing even) but the vibe of Chris settling won't leave Sheva along with the torch for Jill Chris denies is there. He loves Sheva, he truly does, but that feeling for Jill is there, and Sheva, despite it all, hurts from that fact (never mind the guilt of at one time being the other woman). Ada/Carlos The spicy bi panic of two free spirits who know who they are and what they are about. Meeting up by ‘chance’ or rather by ‘plan’ as what are the odds of a spy and a guy for hire meeting up at the same places? They clearly run in similar circles but the attraction and fun of having a good time is there. Funny enough, one of my most healthiest of ships.

Shana(OC)/Jessica(OC) My too wholesome to live lesbian ship. One is a BSAA ‘green’ who after years of taking jobs under the table fighting BOW, can work on the up and up to fund her wife’s MS treatments. Aside from some of Shana’s work history (and the depths she’d go to save her wife), these two are just deeply in love with each other. Bonus round: Not as featured but part of the AU *lore* Brad/Gwen(OC) The secret between them – Brad hooking up with a too young Gwen and ending up with a love child – was what resulted in Brad living in fear of doing more wrong to her and his son, Tomas. Secretly paid money and cared for them at her request as Gwen didn’t want all their lives destroyed. Was it right? No, but this dynamic worked until someone found out using it to blackmail him into leaving Alpha Team behind at Spencer Mansion for hours. Trent(OC)/Gwen(OC) Trent and Gwen found themselves teen parents with the arrival of Tomas (he didn’t know Tomas wasn’t his). Trent was defeated by the prospect of his plans in the military being derailed and turned to drinking. He loved Gwen and Tomas but was prone to flirting when not sober. Gwen, hardworking and from the ‘wrong side the tracks’ sees herself as pragmatic and tried to manage the situation she found herself in with all the foibles of a teen that grew up too fast. Working jobs with a fake ID, she fought for her little family and cared for Trent and Gwen but held resentment to him not being reliable hence her staying out late and drunkenly hooking up with Brad. Tomas was her whole world and would crawl through hell for her son. Trent and Gwen are a hot mess that had Raccoon not happened would have probably either got their shit together or broken up. Ghandon(OC)/Tracey(OC) The put upon Nurse that actually cared for her ‘sons’ the NE-Ts: she read to them, talked to them like ‘people’, was a true ‘parent’ to them, watched as they gained more and more of a personality as the parasites learned. She had to ‘compete’ with Simon Ghandon’s attentions towards them who were not even remotely wholesome, to the point she played into the man’s delusions to gain the boys some respite. It, unfortunately, only worked for so long. Ghandon(OC)/His ‘boys’(OCs + Nemesis) Man with a God Complex + closeted + given complete control over 4 powerful BOW units. What could possibly go wrong? This is the main reason Nemesis has rage issues, control issues, lacks boundaries/has no idea of consent (other than not being human, so it’d been hard to grasp such a human-based concept anyway), and despises humans. Is one of the reasons (next to Nemesis) Zeus has really borked ideas on ‘love.’ This ship bracket is not just toxic, but hellish. Wesker/Jill Started as a side fling (not sexual but sexualized) feeding into Jill’s secret masochist tendencies (because no one was out about such things in the era of DADT and Anita Hill) that turns into a plot to manipulate her actions like with Brad and Barry. He intentionally knew the fallout would cause tension between her and Chris; then 5 happened. Oh boy did RE5 happen. Let’s just say he fucked her up mentally, emotionally and physically and continues to after his ‘death.’ Wesker is to Jill as Ghandon is to Nemesis. Wesker/Excella The Regional Director high on her own supply (and coke and wine) and the manipulative bioterrorist who plays along to get what he wants- what could possibly go wrong? Game playing was afoot, especially with her known jealousy toward the puppet, err Jill.

What’s your OTP for your Muse(s)?

I don't really do OTPs, but Hua Cheng and Xie Lian is the only one to ever exist in my head. Other than that, I don't really have many if any at all because fandom tends to ruin any sort of OTP for me and I just don't even bother anymore.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

Mmm, I'm pretty open to write anything but no non-con, I just don't see myself going that route after somene shoved it on me in Bleach fandom days, I'm still traumatized that shit happened. That and I find that it's a harstop for me to write stuff like that in general with the way I've mutred over the years and it's a trigger for me. Generally though, I'm happy to write pretty much anything else, but there has to be communication involved.

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

I try to make my characters from 27 to damn near 50, and I have a lot of immortal muses. That being said, no one below like 27 because most of my muses are just old enough that they'd be bothered by certain age gaps. For my 27+ muses, no one below their age but upward ? Yes please. For my immortal muses, give them them 30 + always. They don't wanna feel like grave robbers. As for any muse I have below 27, i.e Edward, Shoto, Shinso, they're dating in their age bracket.

Are you selective when shipping?

Yes and no. As someone who needs active communication when it comes to shipping, I realize things don't really progress or develop if we aren't talking. And I don't mean everyday, because that's unrealistic. But if we're in the midst of shipping, I would like to hear your thoughts on the way they're developing together. I would love to share thoughts about the ins and outs of them just being in the same space. I love to ship, but empty ships with no substance fall flat and get dropped overtime because shipping is a two-way street and if one part is not putting in the work, the whole workload falls onto the other partner and that's a no go for me. In the same token, I'm happy to talk about dynamics, I'm all about what'll work and what won't work, especially in romantic ships, but familiar and friendships work out perfectly without much chatter.

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

There's steamy, then there's suggestive. Steamy is them grinding against one another, dirty talk and the like. Suggestive is just them probably making eyes. Either way, I'm tagging it as is because I don't want the tumblr police in my ear.

Who are other muses you ship your muse with?

Honestly, couldn't tell you off rip. I have friends who I've been friends with for years that occupy most of my ships. It's such dynamic and rarepairs that it's hard to list them all. Its so much fun when I think about just how rarepairs, pairs I've hardly thought about can work once talked about. It's so good.

Does one have to ask to ship with you?

Absolutely. I feel like if there's some blooming chemistry for our muses, and you see it, feel free to tip yourself into my IMs or my inbox and shout in capital letters about them, I'm always happy to discuss it. Because I'm not an insta-shipper, but I love when muses develop crushes, or if there's potential for a certain dynamic and I'll never turn down anything, as long as there's adequate communication.

How often do you like to ship?

As someone who takes the time to develop ships, not as often as I used to. Mutual interest goes a long way into getting me to ship. Sometimes I'm there for shipping and I'm like hell yeah, other times I'm just eh. Depends on the why and if there's interest on both ends.

Are you multiship?

That, I am. But I don't do multiples of the same muse. I'm all for a friendships but I refuse to be ship with multiples because it's messy and my brain doesn't like to feel like someone's hoarding my muse or vice versa. Most people don't do exclusives but in my head, I do because it gives me peace of mind. That and my muses are very devoted to their person and the thought of trying with the same muse, different writer shrivels up their muse as a whole.

Are you ship obsessed or ship more-or-less?

The only thing I'm obssessed with when it comes to my ships is probably everything me, Sis and Aven come up with. Because those pairings come outta nowhere and are all the more dynamic for them. Shipping has become a rare thing for me these days because stuff tends to fall off, and I am okay with that. Developing ships is different because muses aren't one dimensional and it's fun to see them opposing one another, for them to be realistic and have conflicting feelings. Those are the things that make me want to ship rather than ' oh my god, they need to kiss', it's more ' could they agree on world destruction ? ' or ' is that thing a deal breaker ?'

What is your favorite ship in your current fandom?

Don't really belong to a single fandom tbh. Like I said, most of my pairings are rare and odd, so....

Finally, how does one ship with you?

Like I've been saying, communicate with me ! I'm not gonna bite and the worst thing I can say is no. I'm big on communicating because it goes a long way in letting me determined if there's mutual interest there and if not, we can always come back to it another time. But if not, I'm not always in a rush to jump into ships, it takes time.

Please note, I have updated the TLDR part of my rules! I wanted to make sure to include the most important parts, while still keeping it trimmed down and easier to skim through. At least, that is my goal. I know my rules page is pretty long... I am incredibly uncomfortable writing with OCs most of the time due to bad experiences in the past.

If your formatting is very extravagant I may struggle to read it and therefore may simply choose not to interact - I'm sorry. I understand people preferring certain aesthetics but if the aesthetic interferes with my ability to read something easily, I may simply pass.

Because I prefer darker and more adult-themed content, I would highly prefer not to write with underaged characters and it's why I prefer to write with those who are 21+.

I have ZERO interest in writing with characters who are children - this includes both underaged, and characters who are children of Zemo regardless of their age. I have no interest in playing a parental role to anyone in or out of character.

Related to above: I am severely squicked by pregnancy plots. These are a no-go for me.

While I don't mind threads being dropped, if I'm the only one who is ever starting them and you are continuing to drop them, I will assume you're not interested in writing with me and I may break the mutual to keep my timeline clean.

I will tend to do alerts every couple of weeks where if a thread hasn't been responded to in two or more weeks, I may archive it. They're really just so fascinating to me, especially with how Kubo presents them in canon.

I also love GrimmTes, and exploring ships with OCs and crossover ships.

What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

Pretty much anything, I love exploring Tesla's dynamics with all sorts of characters. He's kind of fucked up beneath his stoic/polite/sweet demeanor, so of course there's room for both domestic and darker themes. Tesla can be manipulative, obsessive/posessive and even unempathetic and selfish, so each ship is different, and I love figuring out what different characters bring out in him!

How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

In character? No, Tesla is over 100 yrs old in most canon-compliant timelines that I write, and also not being human, idc abt age gaps, as long as the other muse is over 18.

Are you selective when shipping?

Yes, and no? I'm not selective in that I'll only ship w certain people/muses, but I am selective in that our muses have to click to ship. If our muses like each other, then hell yeah, lets ship. Tesla does currently have (what I assume is) one-sided feelings towards certain muses, which is also fine and fun to explore! Chemistry is more important than anything.

How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

Here? He has no comfirmed ships, he's just sleeping with like. Two or three muses. On twitter, he's shipped with quite a few independent OCs, some bleach OCs, Grimmjow, Nnoitra, Nelliel, Harribel, Ggio... I'm more active there, though, so those ships have developed more, over long periods of time and hiatuses.

Does one have to ask to ship with you?

No, I mean if you wanna try to ship with Tesla, you're free to! Again, it all comes down to if our muses are compatible through writing together or not. I'm multiship and open to anything!

How often do you like to ship?

A lot! I love ships, romantic and platonic, because they're a perfect opportunity to explore muses interpersonally and emotionally. Even ships that are doomed from the start to break up (even though if I fall in love w the ship, I get super invested and hope they get back together) are fun to brainstorm together. I don't enjoy forcing a ship, though, even if I personally ship it. If our writing/muses don't get along, then that's how it is! Every writing pair is different.

Yes! Each ship is its own timeline, and if we end up shipping, I'll create a tag specifically for your blog/muse to keep things nice and separate!

We should be suspicious of fake fans for using actual BTs to get info. They've done it before to various extremes. Just yesterday, when checking out blogs that liked a randomly created blog that made an anti BT user post, in which they were also supposed BT/multiship supporters themselves, once again I found multiple set-up blogs poorly acting as actual bucktommy blogs. As you said, most of these blogs I looked at were recently made within 2-4 weeks at most but some were created that day, and again, they had basically 0 Tommy support from the beginning of creating for supposedly being a BT shipper and as I've seen previously I saw variations of -

Using Tommy's pic/name or saying BT/MSer in their bio, but having zero BT/Lou post or being completely dedicated to other fandoms with no 911 in sight, keeping their follows/likes public and seeing other anti users/post, or seeing their username under recent antis post. Actually reblogging from well known Bobs or having nearly all post about buddie endgame or being super pro Ryan only or truly believing in Ryliver. "pro" Tommy post that were tagged with B*mmy or T*mu. Try way too desperately to find ways to be a part or eagerly try to get info to join a group. Asking too many questions claiming to "be new" but know other 911 lore but also have no clue about "anything" because they "never" seen the show, not saying there aren't newbies like that but usually they actually claim to of have watched all the Tommy scenes lol. Want to jump into discussions with the wrong tone or unlike all of us acknowledging Tommy/Lou's faults without being weird about it and say he's 100% perfect/did nothing wrong like that's somehow appealing when we've admitted that's not true... Or make up stories about when "BTs/Lou did this..." Without evidence or any other supporter knowing about said incident. They also always use something like "I heard/saw this about xyz... is that true? What do you know about xyz? 🥸" or send nasty ask about other cast/characters/crew or blogs or accounts to try and implicate or stir drama trying to make BTs look bad.

It's honestly easy to find out who's real or fake because truthfully, they don't know how to act or tolerate or engage genuinely with Tommy, Tevan, or LFJ supporters. These frauds can't keep up the act because they can't actually pretend to like Tommy/Lou without gagging 😅 They try way too hard to fit in that it makes it obvious. They're not good spies, but general psa, just don't be giving out personal info or go inviting every rando into your business without being well established or doing your own research. They've hurt and done really harmful things to actual supporters before. Have fun, but be cautious in this fandom.

The TOH ship fandom toxicity problem.

I hoped to not address this because I am not much invested in The Owl House Fandom and I’ve seen enough elsewhere to know when to avoid stress over ships, but at this point I think I can’t hold back my opinion. I apologize ahead for the length of this post, but I need to touch all the points of the discourse.

So.... I really am tickled off by what is happening in The Owl House fandom, it’s not good at all and it expresses why it’s becoming toxic more and more every day.

First of all, I am all in for Luz and Amity, my main ship in the show is Lumity and I’d never stop shipping it. 

However, trash talking and herassing people who ship Lunter/Luzter (I’ll use Lunter since it’s faster to type) and attacking them? What’s going on with you guys? Why can’t you let them be? Why doing this? Everyone is free to ship what they want without being bullied or made fun of. 

Is there a ship war and why?

First of all, here I don’t mean ALL Lumity shippers act in this way, I’m talking of the ones I saw doing it.

I saw many people worried about others shipping Luz and Hunter because of ship wars, fearing they would attack Lumity shippers, but so far it’s the exact opposite.  The same ship wars people wanted to avoid is being caused anyway and by most of those same people, with their passive/aggressive behavior.  It’s not by obligating everyone to ship Lumity or nothing that you’ll keep peace, if anything you are fueling the toxicity of the fandom, making it similar to a dictatorship.

I don’t know how I view Luz and Hunter, for now I just adore their relationship; platonic, friendship, siblings or romantic. I don’t think I’ll end up shipping them (of course if I did, I wouldn’t let go of Lumity, I would just multiship) because I view their relationship more as siblings. However, I can’t predict the future or how I’ll feel.  But whether I’ll ship or not them, why most people are being so toxic and aggressive? 

Everyone should be free to ship them if they want. It just means having different taste. If people are uncomfortable with the Luz x Hunter ship, they can just avoid the content for it. Block, mute, avoid spaces of that ship. These are all valid options to feel at ease. 

You are responsible for your own experience and for how you manage your page, if you don’t like a certain content you can just stay in your own and avoid expressing hate towards who does. Fandom is for everyone and people have different tastes, so you need to accept that someone will prefer other things and the best option is to ignore and move on.  Stay around people that like what you like, have fun with your ship without herassing others for theirs.

Are Lunter fans homophobic?

I can see many fears of us Lumity shippers valid, for example that people who ship Lumity x Hunter are against LGBTQ+ ships... But aside that who does it for this reason is really an idiot... no. It’s not like this. Most who think like that left the fandom at this point. The proportion of people doing it for this is very small for how big this fandom is. 

So far most of the Lunter shippers I saw are multishippers or they simply vibe with their dynamic. Not everyone who like an het ship over a LGBTQ+ one (which, to be honest, is not het, since Luz is Bisexual and we don’t know Hunter’s) is homophobic, and it’s not fair to jump into conclusions. People can genuinely like a ship for their dynamic or for their own sexuality without being homophobic or against other sexualities, whether the ship has canon possibilities or not. Shipping is for fun, not everyone wants their ship to be canon. I think Lunter fans are pretty aware that Lumity is most likely going to be endgame. 

Does people shipping Lunter erase the representation in Lumity?

I also saw many takes about Lunter shippers taking away the representation of the show or denying it. Like... no? That’s not true.

Nothing, unless Disney (but at this point I doubt they will) or Dana changes idea (but I am very convinced she won’t), will take away what we got with Lumity and what we’ll get.  Ships in the fandom don’t affect the show, the representation won’t be taken away and someone shipping something different won’t change it. People are aware of how things are going in canon.  If anything, the most they can make us lose, is multishippers’ art, who will draw a bit more of Lunter and not only Lumity. But artist are people with feelings and the rights to pick what they like to draw.  Also, the lack of representation is a problem in the actual shows, not in fanarts. There’s plenty fanarts that usually feed us more than the shows. Luckily Owl House doesn’t have this problem

I understand that LGBTQ+ ships needs more representation, totally true and fair, and I get the happiness of seeing a ship so well treated like Lumity.  The fear of seeing it taken away is valid, but if we go down with facts, this is the same situations of other fandoms with anime that have the main hetero couple and people shipping other things, LGBTQ+ or not. 

People supporting the canon couple will bother who support other things, who sometimes bothers back but usually just want to be left in peace.  Why can’t it be the same in this case?

I know, there is the difference that there’s lack of LGBTQ+ representation, but bullying is bullying and is wrong. Always and in any situation.

Perspectives vs mandatory facts: Is Lunter problematic?

Putting aside for a moment that anyone can ship what they want, let’s go for a moment to analyze the ship. What’s the problematic thing with Luz x Hunter? Is it your own opinion or a matter of fact?

“The age gap”: They are 14 and 16 respectively, an age gap of 2 years is a very small one, both in adult and teen/kids ages. It may sounds weirder in young ages but it’s not a problematic thing.  Aside that romances in real life at these young years usually don’t last, it’s very common to see age gaps. Perhaps it can be also a matter of cultural differences between states, but where I live it’s pretty normal and in other countries too. As long and there is a similar level of maturity it’s fine. Ending up with people your own age it’s much rarer than with someone older or younger than you. But it’s important to not make your own perspective mandatory, mostly when it comes with cultures. And if we have to bring in laws, it’s not illegal to date someone who is legal if you’re not, as long as there is no sexual activity. The laws apply to sexual activities and and dating is not revolved to that. So is shipping. This all without keeping in mind that we are talking about fictional characters and not real people. Plus, there are plenty shows that have the same situation canon-wise or with a very supported non-canon ship, but people are not complaining as much. Examples? Connie and Steven (Steven Universe), Aang and Katara (ATLA), Zuko and Katara (ATLA), Marinette and Luka (Miraculous), Luca and Alberto (Luca. And it’s not even a canon ship or canonly implied as romantical), most Disney movies, most animes, Sonic and Amy (Sonic saga) etc.... The thing CAN make you uncomfortable, of course it can. We all have our tastes and preferences and I won’t judge people who don’t like age gaps in early age, but don’t make it a fact or mandatory that it’s wrong or weird. Cause it isn’t. It’s your own interpretation and view, you shouldn’t use it to hurt others when they’re doing nothing wrong. The best thing you can and should do is avoid this content.

“Luz likes Amity”: it’s true, and that won’t change. People don’t ask necessarily for this to change, they can ship something outside of canon. I’ve seen so many fandom with ships that goes against the character’s sexuality (which I don’t have really an opinion about, cause I usually stay in my own corner with things I like but I admit it’s a grey topic), BUT in this Luz is even Bi, so she is allowed to like a male character, both canonly in the show or fanon. And in this case, it’s just fanon, so it doesn’t hurt anyone. People can ship outside canon just for fun.

“They are clearly siblings”: They are not. Again, this is imposing your view onto others. They may express a siblings relationship (which I agree), but this doesn’t make it a fact, it’s more a general and collective view and perspective we have on them. So far they are not related to blood, so they are not siblings and can be shipped together. Someone may find it weird because they see it as siblings relationship, some others instead view their bond as romantic. Both are okay and someone viewing it different than the mass shouldn’t be judged. It’s not a fact that they are siblings or view each other as that, it’s a perspective. It’s like Eda and Luz. We agree they share a mother-daughter relationship but it was never addressed directly, so we can’t push it on people who view it simply as teacher-student close bond or aunt-niece etc... And STILL, even if it was confirmed in the show they view themselves as brother and sister, people can make headcanons where they don’t. It’s what’s fanon, ships and headcanons are about. As long as they are not blood related it’s okay. I can make plenty examples but I’ll go with the easiest. The Promised Neverland. Norman and Emma grew up together and call the other kids siblings, however Norman loves Emma romantically canonly and the author himself, Shirai, ships them and wishes for Emma to reciprocate him. The artist, Posuka, view it as strange and doesn’t ship them, but she has to draw it cause the author of the story is Shirai, not her, and the story is HIS. Other people instead like the editor (who ships Ray and Anna and made Shirai add moments for them), the writer of the novels and other mangakas instead agree with ships between the kids like Shirai. Can it be strange for some people? Yes. Is it wrong? No. It even happened in reality at times. People can grow together and fall in love, age difference or not, as long as there is an healthy bond and not blood relationships. We can say similar thing of Ray and Emma in the same manga. Shirai said their relationship in the manga is of brother and sister, purely platonic and siblings like, not romantical. But he also said he won’t stop people from shipping it of course and people, in fact, still do. Cause they headcanon that their bond is interpreted differently.

To lighten the mood, I put here a screen of episode 13 from season 1, that should further add sense to the first two points about age and Luz being Bi. (Of course putting aside the “Shipping not following canon” aside for a moment)

Now, back into the topic... You can’t force people to think like you. The author decide what the manga/series is for a fact, may say what is the canon representation, but then people can make their own headcanons. It will never change what the reality is, but they can still have fun with their own ideas.But obligating everyone to ship the same thing or bad-talking others is not “keeping the fandom healthy and safe”. It’s possessive and very toxic.

Some people call out on toxicity when they're as toxic or more.  The problem is that people can't balance most times personal tastes, objectivity and respect.

Why others tastes should affect you?

“We can’t have anything nice” “Oh no they’ll start shipping it” You can still make your own experience in the fandom good as long as you mind your own business. If people come at you of course you should defend yourself but you can do it mindfully and respectfully. But that aside, no one will take away things from you if someone pick a different ship. If it bothers you so much that someone likes something else over your ship, so much that you feel threatened, then you have already a sense of rivalry and the problem lays with you.  You can dislike something, but it’s best to avoid it.

I’ll make an easy example: You’re going to an Italian restaurant that is specialized in Lasagne. This restaurant is one of the best doing it, the other ones either don’t cook it or they do it bad. Someone else you don’t know, in the table next to you ordered a pizza. You are bothered by it because you don’t like pizza usually or at least not the one in this restaurant, if anything you’re bothered they offered to make it when there are so many other pizzerias.  So, you start picking on this person, who genuinely like the pizza in this place because it has a nice and different touch (after all, all restaurants and pizzerias have their own recipes), and make them feel bad for it or whisper behind their back mean things just because they had a different, perhaps less common, taste. Why making them feel bad for it? You can just mind your own and enjoy your pizza, no one will make it less tasty because they picked another food for themselves. If you’re bothered it’s your problem, not theirs.

It’s the exact same thing, even if of course I know the LGBTQ+ lack of representation is far sadder and bigger problem in reality than the lack of lasagne in your town.

But bullying is wrong, always. 

But are you forgetting there are people behind screens? People with hearts? Picking on people url is still as bad as doing it irl.  

If a Lunter shipper don’t use their ship to hate on Lumity, why seeing it as something bad? Isn’t it best to enjoy your own comfort content and leaving others alone? Do you think that making them scared to share content of their ship is right?  It just makes this fandom more threatening.

You CAN of course dislike it, it’s your opinion and feeling. But making statements directly to shame who does or insult the ships just feels wrong and unrespectful. Why bothering about others when you can just enjoy your favourite content?

Again, I am a Lumity shipper, I don’t think yet of Lunter in a romantical way, nor I’m sure I ever will, but I find this really worrying.  Please, try to not let this escalate...

Over half of you are 20 or less, which doesn't really surprise me. The rest are mostly 21-29, with very few older than that.

A lot of you made up your own answers for this one, which I loved. But I also loved that nearly 30% of you love it when I just have a whole ass conversation with myself in the tags. I love that too. I'm glad we're on the same page.

This is a bit confusing to look at! But essentially, S2 was picked as the favourite season most often, and S6 was picked as the favourite season least often. S6 was also picked as least favourite season most often, but S4 was picked as the least favourite season least often. I hope that makes sense. If not feel free to keep scrolling and disregard me lol

I'm not going to post the other season charts, but S2 was the clear favourite for plot while S6 was the clear least favourite. Music was a bit more mixed, with a first place tie between S2 and S4, but S6 was still voted least favourite most often. Apparently you really like season 2, and really don't like season 6.

Unsurprised at the Kurt love and absolutely thrilled at the Mercedes love!! Second place yes babe you go girl! And sorry to the characters I left out, you're appreciated too I just wanted to limit the length of the question.

Nothing here surprises me but I am absolutely obsessed with "I put Finn for both... sorry..." lmao

The only thing you need to know about this chart is that of the 3 people who said they don't even sometimes multiship, 2 claim to ship Klaine, Seblaine, and Blam (among others). I'm afraid I have some news for you about what multishipping is, friends.

Klaine was the most popular ship (70%) followed by Brittana (61%) and Samcedes (59%). Sorry to the people who were unimpressed that I left out Samchel and St. Hummel. And @ the person who put "Wes/Kurt but only for the meme feel free to disregard" I will NOT be disregarding that is a god tier ship

Kurtofsky (64%), Blainofsky (50%), and Seblaine (43%) were the most disliked ships. Interestingly, over a quarter of you actively dislike my favourite ship, which does make me question how you manage to tolerate me enough to stick around, but I'm grateful for your presence even if we do have different opinions!
