now you were even more confused, the prince nicknamed "iron of evil" was making a joke. ( and what was m'lady about, you were quite literally a commoner) you set the ruffles back down and continue pricking the grapes from the vine and into his mouth, this was probably your least favorite task he requested you do. not because it was hard but because the prince was completely different from how he presented himself to the public.

moaning and whimpering exaggeratedly as you fed him the fruit, the worst is when he licks at your fingers, even taking one into his mouth, pearly whiteness flicking around the digit.

he always seemed to be smiling around you, it was worse knowing how horrible he could be to others

like that time a noble staying temporarily was caught trying to poison him, usually their sentence to death would be immediate no questions asked but this prince loved to play games

it was in the throne room, two gaurds stood by the captive and the prince stood in front of him ( you standing silently by his side praying they wouldn't behead him in front of you )

and after staring at the man for almost ten minutes without saying a word, he turned to you.

"pick a number between 1 and 1,000"

you jumped, eyes flickering between the man and the prince, "don't look at him, look at me. number quickly." he graps your jaw within seconds. you gasp, there was no arguing with the prince.

you stared directly into his eyes, sputtering out a number, "o-one"

"hmm." his grip doesn't falter, instead he turns your face side to side peering at all your features. "would you look at this, you actually have a desireable face."

you didn't know wether to take it as a compliment or an insult.

he finally lets go, "okay, have him drawn in quarterd. i want him out of my sight."

you gulped, guilt shredding at your heart as the man screamed. now you felt responsible for his punishment, though you suspect he would have done anything he liked anyways.

the prince kisses your palm brining you back to the present, he's been likey this lately too. becoming affectionate in private spaces ( and in public spaces ), insisting you dote on him, care for him and play good girl all while you face the consequences ( many people think you're secretly sleeping with him, though hes met his suitor many times )

"what are you thinking of, tell me your thoughts love."

you gulped, "well honestly my prince i was thinking this is highly inappropriate and that your should stop so that the both of us will avoid trouble, and also—"

the prince stops kissing you, darkened eyes glaring at you viciously. "[Name]" he said suddenly.

you gulp, regretting your decision to speak up immediately.

"you're perfect, okay? i need you to continue being perfect so that everyone here stays happy alright?" you nod. "and i told you to stop calling me that."

"i-i apologize my-sorry um, Anul."

Anul grins and shifts his body to sit upwards, "Good, now come here." he motions to his lap and you sigh, as of the past few weeks this was common as well. he pats his thigh impatiently and you smooth down your skirt to move towards him. his arms are around you before you can even make it on him, his nose grazing your neck, "mm, perfect, all mine, so perfect."

you sigh again and fold your hands over your lap, you wouldn't deny this prince was comfortable to sit on but it was not only highly unprofessional but horribly nerve racking.

you were just glad nobody was in here to see it.

and just then a knock came from the door. you scramble to move but Anul hold on fast, "come in." his voice was like murky water compared to how he was speaking to you before.

another servant maid opens the door, looking at your turned down face for a moment before adressing her reason for being here. "uhm, [Name] has been requested in the chambers by Ms. Jalei just for a quick meeting." Ms. Jalei was the head of all thr maids in the palacez

Anul looks bored at her. "She's busy." and quickly turns back to you, but the maid hasnt left yet.

she clears her throat again, "it's umh, it's urgent." she say looking at you and the man, his arms tighten around your waist. "[Name]? what should i do? seems likes there another pest trying to disturb our peace. number, 1-1,000" the maid freezes up, even she knew was this meant.

your eyes went wide as you looked at him, god that this again. "I-I don't want her to get hurt."

"Oh how sweet. Don't worry she won't feel a thing." Anul smiles devilishly. The maid looks ready to cry.

You turned between them, you hears what happened with the other guy, you didn't know who this was but yiu certianly didn't want her to get hurt, not because she f you anyways.

"w-what can i do? to fix it, i don't think she deserves such a punishment. it's me there asking for anyways, so what should i do?" you pleaded.

that caught his attention, "What you can do...?" He thought for a moment, "You. Get out."

The door was such in seconds.

"ya' know ver since i've met you [Name] i've just been so much better, i'd really love it if you gave me a kiss. I think i deserve it dont you?"

you gulped, you saw something like this coming, you were prepared. you gave a small okay and Anul shift so you were sitting on his crotch rather than his lap. "okay here i go." and placed the tiniest contact on his lips he almost missed it. he blinked,

My name is Phil, I just got into college and I feel pretty lost about my life. I got into a career that I don't even like (but my parents said that money and opportunities matter more), I don't have many friends, much less a partner.

The few friends I have say it's weird that I'm so unsuccessful in love, I'm not bad looking, though maybe... yeah too skinny.

I don't have a hint of muscle, I'm small and scrawny. Also very shy, I do my best with regards to relating to others, but it's like I fail epically every time I try.

It was like my life was destined for unhappiness... and I was settling for that.

That afternoon was pretty quiet, I had a few chores (that I didn't understand), just me in my room at school because my roomie was out, and all my friends were busy. A pathetic afternoon, really.

I lay back on my bed, let out a sigh, pulling out my phone. Something I was quite a fan of, was video games, I liked the mechanics, the designs, and partly because I could pretend to be someone else: to know other worlds, other stories, although no doubt, it was also boring to play without other people.

So in part I also liked to watch some video game streamers. How they narrated the games, their charisma or their jokes, many times I just watched them while I was eating or doing something else.

There was one in particular, his name was Corey. Corey or better known as Noobro, was quite famous on Twitch, and had a certain charisma that I found quite attractive.

I looked up his profile, noticing that he was live.

- How are you today? - he said with a smile, he was playing something like Fornite. He said a couple of things but I didn't even pay attention thanks to a strange buzzing sound that started to play quite loudly. I couldn't quite identify the source, it almost seemed to be coming from my own brain.

I let go of the phone, clenching my head. I heard Corey moaning in the same way on the live feed, I swear even the lights flickered as if they were going to explode. And all at once, everything went black.

A second or two later, I felt some sort of tug, and I saw light again. I looked around confused, besides having a bad headache, I couldn't make out the noises very well either, they were like low murmurs of what seemed to be... music?

I wasn't listening to music before this, what the heck? I opened my eyes without being able to focus at all. Until I ended up glimpsing a computer in front of me.

A computer?

I blinked several times thinking that maybe it was a hallucination, but the computer with a loading screen was still in front of me every time I closed and opened my eyes. It seemed to be from a... game.

I noticed that he was also wearing headphones. I moved my face closer to the screen to notice that there was a camera above, and on the screen. A series of messages, and a thumbnail of someone's camera, seemed strange to me until I saw that it responded to my movements.

Wait... that wasn't someone's camera. That was my camera. But... Where am I?

I looked down at my hands, noticing thick fingers where small ones used to be, followed by a huge hand. I swallowed nervously, but mostly confused. I looked around, it was then that I noticed that the room looked strangely familiar.

I refocused my gaze on the screen, reading the comments, my heart pounding as I read some of them:

《 Hey, noob 》 《 What will you play today, noob? 》

I picked up a phone that was on the table, opened the camera and almost fainted at the sight of my reflection.

The man I watched almost day and night for his videos and live feeds was now in front of me... copying every move I made.

For a moment surprise was the only thing inside me, until I smelled his scent.

I noticed my new stench... strong, masculine, quite stinky, I almost let out a gasp. I wanted more, that was for sure, I tried to pull down a little more the sleeve of the t-shirt that was a little tight to expose my hairy armpits, but because of my new strength, I ended up tearing it.

Out of concern, I ended up cracking a smile, raised my arm and placed it behind the backrest, flexing it and enjoying the sensation; as my bicep swelled up and showed off my new huge muscles.

I almost didn't remember that Corey was originally on a live feed, until I heard the messages start coming out one after another.

Some confused, talking about how they woke up in other bodies and didn't know who they were now, but others were more... interesting.

《You're not him, are you? 》《 I was watching this video in my previous body, I ended up in someone else's who was also watching it, Noob, is it still you? 》

My shyness was about to cut off the transmission, but I felt a strange tingling, I had never felt it before, it was... courage?

- Nah, I'm not him - I said with unfamiliar confidence. It was strange for me to act like this but at the same time it felt so right, like something was finally finding its place in me.

《 And who are you? 》 《 How does it feel to be inside him? 》

- Well, I won't say who I was before. That's not important - I smiled, flexing my arms - It feels amazing, I look good, don't I?

I flexed my arms more and more towards the camera again, I also grabbed my pecs to start massaging them.

《 Let us see more then 》

- You sure are dirty, aren't you? - I teased, although I wasn't at all uncomfortable with what they were asking - I guess they're my fans now, so I must please you.

I spread my legs, feeling his thick build, wide and fat... I moved a little closer to the screen, starting to make slight provocative gestures: sticking out my tongue, biting my lip.

I looked like a fool at first though.... I felt good, and watching the messages explode with excitement did nothing but cheer me up more.

I continued to smell my new stinky, hairy armpits.

- You guys would love to be smelling this, seriously - I pressed my nose against my skin, ecstatic. Continuing that exploration for what seemed like hours, several of them even sent me some pretty juicy tips for getting.... more creative.

That day was somewhat chaotic in the streets, there was panic and no one knew what to do. It took the world at least a week to get used to the “Big Shift”, or at least that's what the scientists called it.

They explained that 80% of the world's population changed bodies without any control or pattern. Some changed between families, others with people from other countries, between genders... it was definitely chaos. Although it is quite lucky if we are honest, the exploration in private was undoubtedly... wonderful.

However, I did have a hard time adjusting to my new body, specifically because of the... work part.

Apparently, Corey's job wasn't just being a streamer, he was also an accountant. The career that I was about to study and that I didn't understand at all. So clearly, I ended up losing the job in a few weeks.

They gave me compensation for the whole body swap thing and at least to keep me afloat for about two months. I felt like it was all coming down but then I thought of something. Corey was famous on Twitch and other social media because he was charismatic, right?

Plus... He had a really good body.

Why wasn't I capitalizing on that?

The first bold move I took on his body was to wax my entire chest, I liked how he looked with hair, I must admit. Although seeing him hairless made it more... eye-catching. Two fat bulges that would catch anyone's attention.

I started uploading more racy stuff, pictures working out, in the gym, sweaty, with clothes that barely covered.

It was a risky move, but it sure paid off, in no time, I also opened a slightly more... explicit account, and suddenly I didn't have to worry about money anymore. I could have this glorious body in all its glory, play video games most of the day, make enough money to support myself and even have more for my personal tastes. I even bought a new car!

My life as Corey was going great, I finally had confidence with other guys (and none of them would miss the opportunity to get all body worshipping), I had money, I was doing what I loved. I finally had a purpose in life.

I'm sure you wonder what happened to the original Corey, don't you? Well, he ended up in my body.

Some people suffered a "direct" exchange, which was that two consciousnesses moved between their bodies, closing only between them.

I talked to him for a while, I thought he would be upset or going crazy, but no, he was actually happy to relive his youth again, study again the career he liked (and take advantage of his knowledge), even try to do streaming again. I think he's doing well even though he's more successful as an influencer or something.

I just know that I improve my appearance quite a bit.

And I know he also watches a lot of my new content (I checked the subscriber list so I know he's definitely there), I guess he likes to see his body still. Maybe he even fondles himself watching my videos.

Anyway, I feel pretty good about being Corey now, the big "Noobro", and not just "big" in video games, if you know what I'm talking about.

Re Adrien and love: I was talking about what the show seems to be going with, not the subtle nuance that older viewers are going to pick up on. For example, I think we're all still wondering why Adrien was kept locked away from society until he was 14. Any adult who hears that fact is going to assume that Emilie and Gabriel were terrible parents from day one. However, unless canon is going to pull a twist even more bizarre than the season five final, that's not the story that canon is going with. The in your face messaging is that Emilie was a great mom for Adrien's entire life and that Gabriel was a good dad up until some nebulous point where he turned evil due to grief. That message doesn't really fit the facts of the story, but Miraculous has never been a show that tries to tell coherent narratives. It's brimming with confusing contradictions that are impossible to make sense of.

If you're going the fanfic route where we embrace the nuance and implications of the story canon set up while ignoring what the writers are saying because it makes no sense, then Emilie wasn't a good mom and Adrien probably isn't made from love. I'm not sure what power I'd give him in that setup, which is one of the many reasons that I like Emilie as at least a semi-decent mom in my own fanfics. Semi-decent to good Emilie just has a lot more potential in my eyes even if it means messing with Adrien's backstory a bit and fixing it to fit the version of Emilie that canon is going with.

While I don't personally mess around with the sentimonster stuff, here are a few ideas where you could take the concept of the sentikids' having secret powers. Since we know that sentimonsters can have unintended powers based on Feast, I'd make the lore that the creator picks the power, but if one isn't picked, then a random power develops based on the emotion the sentimonster is made from. That would fit nicely with the story Fu told us:

Soon I was hungry. With each passing hour I became hungrier. And it was all because of the Miraculous. Because I had to watch over them. I couldn't take it any longer. So I took the Peacock Miraculous and used its power. All I wanted was a nice little companion I could sent to the kitchen to fetch me some rice balls

Fu never gave Feast a power and so Feast got one based on what the creator was thinking and feeling in the moment. Based on this, all the sentikids can have secret powers that they figure out as the story goes on.

For Adrien, you just have to decide what his mother was supposedly feeling when he was born. If that was love, then he has some sort of secret power based around love. You could also do some more nuanced things with her thinking about her own parents and wanting her kid to have the freedom she never had growing up, giving Adrien some magically ability to break free of control in the right situation, overcoming his sentiprograming. Both of those fit nicely with Adrien having agency and breaking free of Gabriel. If you go with Emilie being evil and wanting a perfect doll, then I'm stumped on a power that fits a happy ending. There's probably something clever you could do if you get really into the nuance of what she was feeling and warp that to have it work against her, but nothing is coming to mind.

For Felix, there are some strong implications that he was born of jealousy. His father was angry that Gabriel and Emilie were getting a kid and so he wanted one that was even better. I think that's a nice setup for a copycat power of some sort. Maybe Felix has looked like Adrien his entire life because he was always compared to Adrien, but Felix could actually shift his appearance to look like anyone. Giving him the ability to copy other people's skills could also work. Might explain why he's supposedly good at competitions. That unlocks his powers.

We have no idea who created Kagami so it's hard to know what the perfect fit for her is, but her miraculous is perfection and Tomoe is always going on about how perfect Kagami is, so you could just go with that and make Kagami have the ability to master skills super easily. I think that's kind of boring and all too similar to what I'd do with Felix, so I'd take the time to give Kagami a stronger backstory and pick the power based on that. That's getting pretty far from canon, though, so my suggestions on that are going to be heavily biased towards what I want Kagami's backstory to be.

Sentimonsters are beings made from a single emotion and Adrien's emotion is heavily implied to be love. Sentimonsters can also have any random power the writers decide to give them and have been established to sometimes get powers their creators didn't intend (see Feast). That is the ultimate setup to use the power of love to empower Adrien and yet the show gives us nothing.

Okay, regarding the ask about necromancy on twst

I think about it a LOT, too much even.

When they talk about necromancy in Disney (in a way that I believe can be connected to twst), I think of some examples. I'm not sure if they're all necessarily necromancy, but they're kind of similar.

The first is Hades, the lord of the underworld and the movie Hercules. It has many references to the dead being brought back and souls, but this has also been used as a reference to overblot and phantoms. And considering book 6, I think it would mention how to bring someone back to life if it were possible.

The second is The Black Cauldron, whose object that gives the film its name has the power of an army of undead which, if I'm not mistaken, is referred to as necromancy. I'm just not sure if twst will continue to use necromancy as a metaphor for blot and phantoms and that this movie will be considered to be used for anything. Maybe there's actually some plot to explain the overblots? I'm not really sure about that one.

Chernabog, who has his demonic/undead servants/slaves. I also have the theory that he is directly linked to blot and overblot, which contributes to my headcannon that twst uses Disney's necromancy as a metaphor for blot in many cases.

And then there's Aladdin's Genie, who is never really made clear whether he can't physically revive the dead or if he doesn't like it because it goes horribly wrong. I not sure but think that if genies exist in TWIST, they would have magic working differently, so Blot and stuff would work differently for them too (if it exist at all). And then there's Nasira, Jafar's sister who is portrayed as being able to summon the dead and is referred to as a necromancer on the wiki. If I'm not mistaken, she's one of the few Disney characters who isn't compared to a deity who does this? I think Najma is inspired by her, so I wonder how interesting it would be if she was a mage with blot-related powers as her unique magic? But Nasira is from a very small game and Najma is an event character, so even if it did happen, which is almost impossible, it's even more impossible for it to be mentioned.

Well, my general theory is that Disney's necromancy is being adapted for Blot in TWST, and I'm looking forward to seeing how this connects to the game's references to death and whatever the hell is going on at this college.

I’m not going to be commenting on The Black Cauldron or Chernabog, since neither have lore that has been explicitly referenced or canonized in Twst. I do not want to confuse people by mixing up canon with what is purely fan theory/speculation.

I could be misremembering but 💦 the "Underworld” depicted in Twisted Wonderland isn’t directly associated with death/the souls of the dead like it is in Disney’s Hercules. Tartarus and the general S.T.Y.X. facility hold Phantoms captured for experimentation, including very powerful and ancient ones from the Age of the Gods. The implication may be that these Phantoms are all that remain of the mages that overblotted (ie the original mages are dead now and the Phantoms are all that remain of them), but the Phantoms themselves are not dead. I think the only truly dead one among them is Ortho, whose soul seems to have merged with the Phantoms in Tartarus, perhaps due to having died in this space.

There’s nothing which would indicate it would be possible to bring someone back from the Tartarus shown in Twst. (To begin with, I'm not sure if the Tartarus in S.T.Y.X. and the one in Hercules are one and the same.) The mages associated with each Phantom are no longer around; the Phantoms exist as separate entities that continue to exist long after their mage wiped out. This is also implied by how Idia panics in his post-OB flashback. He acts as though Ortho cannot be returned to him, so it doesn’t appear like reviving someone from the dead is possible. It’s not like Ortho’s spirit is swimming in a soul pool like how it is literally depicted in Hercules. Idia acts like Ortho is GONE gone—and, furthermore, his attempt to “bring Ortho back” by making an artificial intelligence earns him shock and ire from the S.T.Y.X. researchers around him. They behave as though this is wrong or shouldn’t be done, ethically speaking.

In Aladdin, the Genie states that he “[…] can’t bring people back from the dead. It’s not a pretty picture. I don’t like doing it!!” This implies to me that he technically could perform this magic, but refrains from doing so because the results aren’t desirable. Seeing as he takes on this grotesque appearance when describing the dead, maybe those he revives look… unappealing?? Or somehow are not brought back “whole”/are missing integral parts of their original personalities??

I believe genies are mentioned a few times, mostly by Jamil. For example, he calls Azul his “genie in a lamp” in book 3 and, in one of his Chats, says, “What am I, the genie of the lamp?” He also mentions the three wishes thing and how the Sorcerer of the Sands sought a magic lamp and eventually ascended as a genie himself. But we don’t know how genies work outside of that or how their magic may differ (if at all) from that of a mage. Since Jamil speaks about “the” genie of “the” lamp, it’s possible he is specifically referring to Aladdin’s Genie and thus canonizing the Genie’s rules. In The Return of Jafar, we learn that genie form Jafar is also bound “by the rules of the lamp”, which prevents him from killing others. This is the first of Genie’s rules, so we can assume the other two rules also apply to Jafar + other genies. Not sure if this is also the case for genies in Twst canon, but this might be important to consider.

There’s no official confirmation that Najma is twisted from Nasira (Jafar’s fraternal twin sister), but many fans assume that’s who she must be referencing. It’s not clear whether Najma is a mage or not though. I’d say there’s a chance she could have future appearances 🤷‍♀️ After all, Kifaji was introduced to us via a hometown event and then became relevant again in book 7.

Really not sure about the blot being related to necromancy thing, especially as it relates to Najma, One’s unique magic is deeply tied to the mage’s identity—and there is nothing about Najma which would suggest to me that she would be invested much in blot or necromancy?? If you stretched it, maybe you could argue she cares about her older brother and becomes interested in alleviating blot to ensure that Jamil isn’t put at risk of OBing again…? But she doesn’t know about that incident at all since Azul stopped it from spreading. It’s also assuming a lot of Najma’s character when we barely know her.

As much fun as it is to theorize about Crowley wanting to collect blot stones to revive the Great Seven/his theoretical dead wife or what have you, I don’t think there’s strong enough evidence to link blot (what is essentially a general magic byproduct) with reviving the dead. It feels like sort of a stretch, especially since blot is shown to be caustic and harmful to living beings, rather than regenerative. No one in the Twst-verse acts as though bringing the dead back is possible, not even the organization that literally researches blot and has access to all of the best technology. (Ortho is a special case and lies outside of the purview of this.)

At the end of book 7, Lilia is able to be brought back from death through (I kid you not) the power of love. Malleus and Silver wished very hard and used the magic in Malleus's broken off horn + Silver's ring to give life back to Lilia. However, everyone being shocked by this indicates to me that it's not a normal occurrence and not something thought to have been possible before.

I’d be willing to consider the theory, but only if there’s something more concrete than largely pulling from Disney films. What is true in a Disney film is not necessarily translated 1:1 or always borrowed in Twst, so I’m wary of just copy pasting lore from Disney over. (Some examples: Ursula has a younger sister but Azul is an only child, iron hurts fae and greatly weakens their magic in Maleficent but fae are not harmed or weakened by iron in Twst; they only find the smell offensive.)

And while at first Frank might be a little confused the first few times you pull back from him post sex, seeming to drift into your own bubble on the other side of the sheets, he absolutely would pay mind to the fact people need different things.

Its completely normal and natural that something that works for him in the come down, doesn't always work or help you and vice versa! So he looks for a bridge.

Frank would watch. He'd silently learn every little thing you reach for or even pad around to collect and add them to a mental note.

Slowly he'd start leaving bottles of water, perhaps a soda, maybe even some candy or treats you like, around the bedside tables. Simple but easily accessible things.

With a grumbled stretch of his muscles he's treading to the bathroom (still completely bare) and, depending on how intense things were, grabbing a pleasant temperature flannel or running a bath.

With the correct temperature flannel option hes cleaning over your skin as feather light as possible- a task for his usually heavy handed fingers. One that had taken you time to let him accomplish alone. Spit, slick, cum, sweat- anything and everything that could even begin to make you feel anymore overwhelmed or uncomfortable. If you rather him help then he's absolutely going to- leaning over and cupping water over you hair, massaging in your favorite products, soaping over your skin with body wash and prasing every inch. Practically smothering you in warmed towls after and helping you dress (if thats what you'd rather do than remain bare)

Otherwise he'll give you the time alone if thats how you prefer it, choosing to change over the sheets so everything feels nice and fresh for you to nap. Perhaps even finding some movie or show you like to help lul you off.

But all in all hes taking your cues and building off of them, each situation unique to you. And like.. Frank doesn't mind in the slightest. He just wants his girl comfortable, content and taken care of; your needs are not any trouble to him.

A lil bonus thought- Perhaps you get a fan (or a blanket if you run colder) so you can indulge frank for a moment. You dont think of it a big deal when you set it up, frank never had for you so..why would it be? But It becomes the first time you've ever seen him just completely melt, the flutter of his lashes slowing as he blinks, the grumble of half asleep snores rumbling against your skin. firstly, he had battled an addiction. an addiction that caused him to push everyone away and act like a total idiot. he was sometimes rude, abrasive. he had an absent father his entire life, and a schizophrenic mother whom he loved dearly, but struggled to take care of. he wasn’t sure he was the type you would go for..

you were kind. you radiated sunshine, and happiness. while spencer had a aversion to social media, you posted frequently.

and he may of downloaded countless platforms just to see them. every picture, every selfie of you, you held up a peace sign, bright smile on your face.

Well, it's just that I was rewatching the Jungle movie today and wanted to ask what you thought about Helga's confession scene in that movie. In your work here you touched that subject, the one about it feeling like Arnold confessed because he owned Helga, so maybe you have your thoughts about the aforementioned scene. It seems to me Helga was impatient and, thus, acted without regard for Arnold's feelings, but do you think the "I wasn't ready to hear it" from Arnold at the end references the confession in that movie or in FTI? Yeah, probably a dumb question.

Not a dumb question at all! I feel like I relate to many fans when I say that the confession left me very unsatisfied and the resolution to the confession even more so. It seems you’ve noticed my backtracking I’ve done in my comic related to the confession for the jungle movie, and that was completely on purpose. My main issue with the confession in the movie was that it felt like an obligation to Arnold that he owed this to her and although I don’t think that was Craig Bartlett’s intentions or whether it was or not, I wanted it to make it clear that Arnold’s feelings were not based on Helga’s morality or her journey to be a better person but on a genuine connection between the two. that’s not to say that it’s completely disconnected of course. Arnold likes Helga because of her growth as a person, but that’s only one piece of the puzzle. When I hear people talk about their significant others, I don’t usually always hear the positive. It’s a lot of negative like they’re complaining about their partners but then at the end of it they say, ‘but I love them anyways’

I feel like Helga DOES need to grow as a person not for Arnold, but for herself. of course, most of my comic focuses on the relationship between the two, but it’s also very focused on Helga’s journey getting away from her insecurities and accepting herself as she is and not who she thinks Arnold deserves.

Personally I think Arnold meant both times when he said he wasn’t ready to hear it. I think in the beginning he was confused about his feelings on the FTI building. He was looking at Helga in a completely different light and it’s understandable that he just didn’t consider it or subconsciously he might have, but realistically it seemed impossible that Helga liked him. I personally believe Arnold hasn’t completely realized his feelings until the end of the jungle movie, but that’s not to say he hasn’t been thinking about it a lot in my opinion. I’m sure it’s been something in the back of his mind for a whole year after the FTI confession. For me, I believe Arnold and Helga‘s relationship after FTI and before the jungle movie is a lot like the relationship like on April Fools’ Day, and in my comic. In my opinion, it would be playful and charismatic and competitive. Like a flirtatious dance battle, where both of them can’t admit to their feelings out loud where Helga knows her feelings, but keeps them locked away, and Arnold isn’t aware of his feelings, but enjoys the combativeness and camaraderie that they have! If I had to describe Arnold’s realization to his feelings, I’d say it’s like when water slowly drips into a bucket and you don’t know that the buckets filled until it starts to pour over. It’s not that Arnold didn’t have feelings for Helga during the jungle movie, but that he didn’t realize what he was feeling was that.

Arnold and Helga‘s relationship is a lot of tug and pull, pushing each other out of bounds in their set personality we can explore his mischievous side, and Helga can better open up and be vulnerable to her considerate side. My line in ch6 where Arnold says ‘I don’t think it matters who’s influencing who’ I wanted to establish that they both make each other more of a ‘whole’ person, if that makes sense.

I just saw thunderbolts and I have many thoughts

Spoilers ahead ‼️‼️‼️

1. Taskmaster dying was so pointless and honestly kind of disgusting. I tried seeing if it’s was an actor issue but apparently the writers took her out to show that “the stakes are high and anyone can die” which is a convoluted way to say nothing because we know none of the other team members are dying through cast leaks and plot armor. It rubs me the wrong way that a movie centered around character redemption threw out the girl who went through the same mercenary pain as them and got not sufficing redemption in black widow or thunderbolts. Rip Taskmaster you are special to me and I would never have done that to you. We lost a girlie today 💔

2. I liked Ghost alot in the ant man movies and honestly forgot as her character became quickly irrelevant because let’s be real ant man is no one’s favorite series. She didn’t do much in this movie, no one seemed to really connect with her and holy shit what was that bulky ahh suit 😭 I’d kill to have the white suit back from her first appearance, that was so cool. Also every move she made got fucking countered immediately. If your character can be countered by a jbl speaker blaring fetty wap then maybe she’s not a great addition to the team.

3. I thought the Bob/Yelena/Walker camaraderie was pretty solid, they all had good banter and seemed to genuinely care about each other. I don’t want to glaze Walker but I liked seeing the small ways he showed affection like shifting from calling him Bob to Bobby, and even picking the fruit for Yelena and Ghost. Hell he even took that one hit for Bucky and hauled his ass back to the elevator. I’m not sure why he was suddenly a team player but it was nice to see. That being said we lacked a whole group connection, obviously Walker cared for Ghost but Ghost didn’t seem to connect with anyone else, nor did Bucky really talk past his circle of Walker, or Alexei with his circle of Yelena. I would have liked to see a better full team moment like the Avengers shawarma scene. Everyone was pretty solid by themselves but I don’t really think of them as a group, just people who have their person if that makes sense.

4. I was going to complain that Bucky wasn’t in the movie enough because he’s my favorite and I saw it just to see him on the big screen. I was originally worried that he was going to be put through mcu hell again after his redemption in tfatws but I honestly think it was smart to distance himself from the thunderbolts team. It gives everyone else a chance in the spotlight because Bucky has already overcome his trauma and serves as a sign that they can too. I always kept him in mind during the void episodes knowing that reliving hydra must have been awful, but he’s at a point right now where he was able to blow it off and even joke to the others by remarking sarcastically that his past was great. I love seeing him in a place of healing <3 That being said I know my boy is struggling being in a team where 2 people are a stark reminder of Steve rogers. Like If I was in a team where two people looked like my dead boyfriend id throw hands every second, walker and alexei I would be out for blood 💀 Not to mention Sam who is very much captain American but it probably still hurts Bucky to see that red white and blue even when the proper person displays it.

5. You are telling me there is arguing in my sambucky household?? Marvel don’t piss me off. My one little Sam Wilson mention is Bucky arguing with him about some avengers bullshit?? Marvel I am going to run these ones. I was expecting a little call at the end like “honey you won’t believe the day I’ve had” NOT A DIVORCE.

6. Sentry was a bit confusing, he felt like a weird character to add in the timeline right now in that way that he’s pretty similar to Adam Warlock. He felt like a weird combination of Warlock x Homelander if that makes sense lol. Towards the end the movie started to feel like The Boys lmao, I thought Valentina was about to become the head of Vought and had to remember what universe we were in. Don’t get me wrong I love Bob and I part of me hates that I’m buying into the “lol so random XD name” kind of character but he was pretty chill, I know my boy is gonna love Johnny Storm just wait.

7. Where is Yelena’s Guinea pig?? I was hoping to see him in the back of the tower with a fancy set up but alas… Outside of showing the fact that Yelena doesn’t lack humanity through her rescuing if it, it is also a symbol of what they’ve all been through as Guinea pigs are commonly test subjects. I know it’s right on the nose but I think it’s still a nice touch

First off, I'm happy to hear that you typically like how I approach things. There are a few different things to unpack in your message. But warning: This is lunch break, and I have no time to think as carefully as I normally would. I cannot promise that I will word things eloquently.

Let's start with this one:

I am doing that with Something's Not Right. But I haven't been writing detailed meta for that particular show so you haven't seen that process. You've seen the conclusion not the processing.

In short, I looked at things from Ba Wu's perspective too. I did. But when I judged his actions, even taking his perspective into account, I didn't like what I found.

Ji hoon is annoyingly clingy.

I could go with a simple "I love him, your honor" to excuse everything this sunshine does. I'm certainly doing that for reading the diary which I didn't think was his best move. But I'll elaborate as I have seen a few people say he's too clingy.

He is clingy, but I don't agree that he's overly clingy.

Yes, Ji Hun prioritizes Ba Wu. In high school, he changed the direction of his life to try and stay with Ba Wu. In a high school drama, where we didn't have a designated piner telling the story, people would have found that sweet.

But you know what Ji Hun DIDN'T do when Ba Wu quit music? He didn't quit too. He may have went to the same college as Ba Wu, but he's developed his own friend group. A friend group that doesn't know Ba Wu well, and a friend group that we see him FREQUENTLY hang out with without Ba Wu. Ji Hun HAS built a life for himself outside of Ba Wu. He just really wants Ba Wu to be a part of it.

Have we seen Ba Wu's friend group? If you don't count Ha Min who is a new addition to Ba Wu's life, no. We've seen him work in the cafe and study alone in the library. As Ha Min said, he's way too easy to find. He might SAY he wants a life outside of Ji Hun, but he hasn't taken a lot of steps to build one. And he gives confusing and mixed messages to Ji Hun on a regular basis. For the record, it's also possible that Ba Wu chose the college after Ji Hun. We don't know for sure how that went down.

I also think it's important to remember the time frame of this show. The modern timeline is essentially one day per episode. We're seeing what happens in the course of the week.

What people may see as clingy (the phone calls, seeking Ba Wu out) are signs that he is actively reaching out to Ba Wu to try and figure out what's going on with his best friend.

But you know what - if my bestie of over a decade suddenly said they wanted nothing to do with me and stormed out in the middle of a meal, I'd be actively trying to figure out what was up with my friend too. Even without the added layer that (I believe) Ji Hun very much has an "unrequited" love story too.

If my bestie said even a few of the things that Ba Wu has said to Ji Hun in the span of essentially a couple of days, I'd be immediately loading into my car and driving 5 hours to their doorstep. Because SOMETHING was up, and friends don't let friends drown in pain or spiral alone. There have been too many suicides in my life for me to let a "it's none of your business" from someone close to me just slide without making sure it was an actual boundary and not something more.

Ba Wu has YET to communicate in the sincere, honest way Ji Hun would need to understand that his friend (and person he loves) is really okay or to grasp what's actually going on. As Ji Hun repeatedly said and Ba Wu should know anyways as his best friend, he needs it spelled out for him. And yes, there were ways for Ba Wu to do this step without confessing his love.

Add in that losing Ba Wu even as a friend has always been Ji Hun's worst fear. Add in that Ba Wu essentially walked away from what was always his dream. Add in that Ba Wu seems generally unhappy and depressed. Ji Hun's actions make a lot of sense to me. If anything, I don't think he's been in his business enough. As I said, I would've been considering a road trip after episode 1. Loaded up and driving after episode 2.

Why do you hate ba woo so much?

Hate's a strong word. Essentially, he's a college student. For part of the show (the flashbacks), he's a high school kid. He's figuring himself out. I don't think he's a villain. But I definitely don't like him, and I don't think Ji Hun and him will be good together.

In basic terms, I can't ship it. He can go get with Ha Min. That's fine I guess. I don't like either one of them. Ha Min may be getting negative energy by extension though. I honestly haven't thought about him much at all.

Ba Wu has "loved" Ji Hun since high school. I fully believe Ji Hun has loved him that long too.

Ba Wu decided that the relationship was impossible. Ji Hun did too.

Both ended up in their own "unrequited" love story.

With unrequited love, there are choices - cut ties, confess, or stay silent/stay in the friend zone.

Ji Hun chose the latter. He decided that Ba Wu was important enough to him that he wanted to remain in his life and do everything he could to make Ba Wu's life the best possible even if he really wanted more. I also figure he was biding his time until Ba Wu decided he was interested in dating. Remember, Ba Wu directly told him that he didn't want to date, and Ji Hun implicitly trusts Ba Wu. Jealousy would eventually prompt Ji Hun to take action. We already see that.

I'll also add in that some of Ji Hun's statements like "I treat all of my friends this way" are a direct response from him thinking Ba Wu will cut him out of his life if he asks for too much. His "ambiguity" or "obliviousness" is him trying desperately to not ask for too much from Ba Wu.

On the other hand, Ba Wu can't decide. He confesses, and then he takes it back. He cuts ties, but then he calls him up. Which...I'm actually okay with that fickleness. It's not great to do, but figuring stuff out is hard. I wouldn't judge him if he did decide to cut ties and did so cleanly too.

You know what makes me dislike him? He's mean to Ji Hun. His words are sharp and targeted. His actions too. And not in the type of playful, sarcastic way that I enjoy. The friends do that type of roast. They just take it too far especially since Ji Hun isn't giving that energy back. It should be obvious to them (in ep 5) that he's hurting.

I need to clarify that I'm adding a layer of judgment onto Ba Wu here, because I think Ba Wu DOES have the right words to use. Some people struggle to word things. Some people don't know that their words are painful. That has to be considered for some characters. But from what we know of Ba Wu from his diary and narration, he can use words and use them well. We see him do it with Ha Min. But with Ji Hun? He's choosing either to not use his words or to use them in a hurtful way. It's a choice not lack of skill.

I considered whether it was just lashing out in pain. And it IS coming from him finding his "unrequited love" to be painful. Ba Wu does it because he's trying to protect himself and his own heart. But that's also why I don't think they'd be good together.

Ba Wu will prioritize himself. Ji Hun will prioritize Ba Wu. Ji Hun is too gentle to stop/counter Ba Wu's self-sabotage and he isn't the type to be able to figure out the difference between a mean word said in pain and a mean word said in sincerity. He's going to feel every one of them as a small knife cut to his heart. He will believe Ba Wu's words.

This relationship will shred Ji Hun's soul over time, because Ba Wu will resort to this behavior EVERY time there is a problem in their relationship. Ba Wu will lash out and run, and Ji Hun will run after him and slowly bleed to death.

Yeah, I don't ship it.

They both need something different in a partner than what the other can provide.

New AO3 Tag Wrangling Policy and the Transformers Fandom

(This is a long one, folks, but I think it's important.)

A new tag-wrangling policy on AO3 has the potential to create some massive confusion and chaos in the Transformers fanfic community, with regards to fandom tags. There is a Reddit post about it here with a focus on anime fandoms, but I want to give some concrete examples for the Transformers fandom on why we DO NOT WANT this, and why I think it's a horrible idea.

The Problem

Basically, AO3 is looking to get rid of the "All Media Types" fandom tag across the board, either by dismantling them or just not maintaining them. The Transformers - All Media Types tag has been an all-purpose tag that you could select when your story doesn't fall into any one specific continuity. Additionally, all most (see below) TF continuities on AO3 are considered a subtag of the Transformers - All Media Types tag. For example, if you look at the link above for all works in the All Media Types tag, you will see fics that are also tagged ONLY with Transformers: Animated, because it falls under the All Media Types tag.

One exception: With the upcoming Transformers: One movie coming out imminently, there will likely be a big influx of stories tagged with Transformers: One. In fact, there are several already. However, it hasn't been linked to the larger Transformers - All Media Types tag yet. I wasn't worrying about it though, because I know these things can take time.

With information about this new tagging policy, however, I'm now wondering whether it'll EVER get linked to the All Media Types tag. If that happens, and when more continuities are developed in the coming years (since you know Hasbro loves creating new universes) this has the potential to cause massive confusion when looking for stories to read.

Searching for Stories with the New Tagging System

So let's say the All Media Types fandom tag isn't accurate anymore, because it no longer includes ALL of the continuities (such as TF:One). You will need to include ALL the Transformers continuities when browsing for TF fics.

How many tags is that? Well, here are all of the tags currently listed under the Transformers - All Media Types tag:

Note that this doesn't include Transformers: One since it hasn't been categorized yet.

You will potentially have to have 40 or more different fandom tags in your search, just in case the author tagged their story with something you weren't expecting.

This massively decreases the findability of a story.

Tagging with the New System

The email response from the Tag Wrangling group (see the linked Reddit post above) seems to be a bit flip in the response to the user's concern. "...encourages creators to tag with the media they intend."

While I appreciate what they are attempting to do, this policy change feels like a solution in search of a problem, especially in larger fandoms with multiple continuities, versions, and media types that are all cross-pollinated in both canon and fanon. While I'm focusing on Transformers fandom, imagine a creator in the DC comic universe writing a story that incorporates bits and pieces from a dozen different reboots.

For example, let's say that I am writing a fic about Ratchet. I am using the setting of the original G1 episodes, but I also am using the characterization of him as a bit of an old man grump. That characterization originated in the Animated continuity, but I want to incorporate bits of pieces of his other characterizations as well (old friend of Optimus from TFP, Ratchet ran a faction-free clinic like he did in the War for Cybertron series, he's got a Decepticon boyfriend like in IDW1 - or maybe even Cyberverse, etc.)

With this new tagging structure, I might potentially have to tag the story with ALL of those continuities. So instead of just slapping down the "All Media Types" tag (and maybe one other fandom tag that matches the characters as best I can), I'll have to analyze my story and try to figure out how best to tag for the characters I used.

And what if you're doing a completely AU version of the story? For example, a humanformers story, or merformers? Using the All Media Types tag along with a Alternate Universe - Human or Alternate Universe - Mermaid tag worked perfectly, since you weren't writing the story to fit into one specific continuity. But now, that might not be an option.

What To Do??

The first thing I would suggest is to contact AO3 (using the Feedback and Support page) and let them know (nicely) that you think this is a horrible idea. Give them some examples on how you use the All Media Types tag to find stories to read, or to help you tag a story. People outside of the Transformers fandom don't always appreciate how absolutely tangled the continuities can be with each other, and providing examples might help them see why this would be a really messy change.

Readers: Be aware that when you are looking in the All Media Types tag, it will no longer show newer continuities. And if AO3 starts dismantling that tag like they suggested they are doing, be aware that some stories won't show up in that tag like they used to. You can also create and then bookmark a custom search page that includes all 40+ continuities. REALLY annoying, but it's a workaround.

Writers: Until they start dismantling the All Media Types tag, ALWAYS ALWAYS tag your stories using Transformers - All Media Types... Especially for newer continuities. This will be especially important if you are writing a Transformers: One story. Right now, anyone who is only browsing the All Media Types tag will not see a story tagged only with Transformers: One. Make sure you're aware of how tags work and how they can affect the visibility and findability of your story.

Epilogue

Ugh. That's a lot of words for a long-weekend Saturday. And maybe I'm overreacting a tiny bit. But my work involves information architecture, and this change just absolutely baffles me. It's almost as though they want to make it harder to find stories. Considering that AO3 won a Hugo partially because of its fantastic tagging system, this change seems like AO3 is doing its best to shoot itself in the foot.

When you have a square hole, a round hole, and a rectangular hole… Yeah, you DO want each peg to go in the "right" hole. But if all of the pegs fit in the square hole, who cares? You got the job done.

I love you @ao3org, but please reconsider this change... Especially for IPs that are as old and are as varied as Transformers.

Shen Qingqiu who, while Shang Qinghua is recovering from some random poisoning (that demon has already died at the hands of Mobei, don't worry), is forced to spend time with Mobei-jun.

At first it's tense. He arrives, a mandatory tea out of politeness. It's usually frozen. They don't have much to talk about or anything in common except their concern for Shang Qinghua.

Except they do have in common. At some point, perhaps, Shen Qingqiu mentions some rare beast, and Mobei-jun comments that he killed a couple of those. That leads to the first long conversation the two of you can have.

The next time, Mobei-jun brings back the beast's fangs. The two return to their conversation about monsters. Mobei-jun speaks little, concisely, but he talks about how to kill those beasts, the properties of their organs, the functioning of their poisons. Shen Qingqiu shares his bestiaries and provides additional information.

Then, even when Shang Qinghua improves, Shen Qingqiu usually takes advantage of the time when he has to stay in the northern palace with his husband to, well, expand his bestiary. Mobei-jun also seems to be passionate about flora that can kill, or anything huge and dangerous. Shen Qingqiu enjoys their conversations and learns to get more than just a few words out of Mobei-jun's sullen mouth.

Of course, he actually tells Shang Qinghua:

"When your husband isn't being monosyllabic, it's a good conversation" he says simply. "I didn't know he knew so much about flora, monsters and strange beasts. When I find a rare flower and can't remember its name, I'll ask Mobei, not you."

Shang Qinghua laughs a lot at that.

"Ah, I think that's because, well, you know, inspirations and all that..."

Shen Qingqiu looks at Shang Qinghua very curiously.

"Inspirations? You created your perfect husband from scratch. Who did you get your inspiration from, Airplane bro? Spill the tea, let's see the vicious tastes of this shameless author."

Shang Qinghua laughs a little foolishly.

"Well, you see, I had this classmate in college. A very rich guy" Shang Qinghua makes a funny face as he buries in the past. "He was cold and monosyllabic, even hostile to those who were rude, but hey, he could give you an infodumping of all the monsters in The Witcher without even doing research. I heard him do it once and, man, that guy was crazy" and Shang Qinghua continues talking while, as if by omen, Shen Qingqiu begins to feel a strange sensation of vertigo. "He was kind of cute, well, not exactly my fully type, he was very tall but lacked many muscles, but he had the biggest and prettiest resting bitch face I've ever seen on anyone even my king. He always wore all those fancy clothes that cost the same as my apartment rent, those silver accessories, rings, necklaces, bracelets... His hair was also kind of long, now that I think about it, and when he wore it down it was, god, a delight. I liked him a little. He was my college crush." and Shang Qinghua shrugs, laughing. His cheeks are red and Shen Qingqiu feels that his own ears are red, too. "Cucumber bro, it's actually a bit silly. I remember this boy's last name was also Shen."

That... That's the last straw.

"You-!" and Shen Qingqiu finds himself hitting him with the fan before he realizes it. "How-? What the hell!?"

"Ow, ow, OUCH, Cucumber bro!! What's going on?!"

Shen Qingqiu feels his face burning. His hands tremble over the fan. What the fuck!?

"... Bro?!"

"That classmate of yours" Shen Qingqiu hisses, just to confirm "His name was Shen Yuan?"

Shang Qinghua blinks, confused, recalling his thoughts. Suddenly, his entire face lights up with a wide smile.

"Oh, I forgot!! Yes, that was it!!" and his gaze becomes mischievous. "You met him, too?! He was a delicious little thing, honestly, a nice round butt, he... OUCH-"

"He was me" Shen Qingqiu hisses, opening his fan and hiding behind it. He wrinkles his nose in disgust. Of all the people in the world...!

Shang Qinghua gasps, looking like he was given some vital information. His face, contrary to what Shen Qingqiu expected, does not change into horror, but into mockery.

"Oh, bro" and starts laughing out loud "BRO"

"Damn fourth-rate author, what the hell is wrong with you!!!"

"Bro, BRO, I created a part of my husband based on you!! And you're married to my son self-inserted in a power fantasy!! It's like we're indirectly married!!"

"Fuck you!!"

"Ohh, how cute!! Do you want to jump to the honeymoon already?!"

"Get away!!"

Shen Qingqiu doesn't visit Shang Qinghua again for over a month. However, he does spend some time talking about monsters with Mobei-jun while his husband takes care of the demon court (in the time he would usually use to gossip and fool around with Shang Qinghua), it's just his thing.
