Wakfu s3 and s4 art books kind of suck (in terms of character art)

😔 We never got a season 2 art book. 😭 No OVA art book/zine. 🫤 The Season 3 art book was fine. 😐 The Season 4 art book was not valuable to me…honestly maybe season 3 and 4 art books are about the same 🤷‍♀️ HOWEVER, the season 4 art book has adult Yugo (so that's a plus!)lol

For context - I could have bought the season 3 art book. I held it in my hands. But when I looked at it, flipped through it…I didn’t find anything of value to me inside of it.

What is valuable to me? Character art.

They LACK concept art and sketches. They only have art from the show. Okay, the season 3 art book has SOME oncept art for the NEW characters, but I want to see the concept art for EVERYONE. I want to see the sketches! I wanted to see if they played with Amalia’s look in season 3 before deciding to for that final look. I love her OVA look more and thought that’d be her season 3 look.

Art books are supposed to inspire and inform.

As an illustrator, I didn’t get much inspiration from the season 3-4 art books for Wakfu. They’re good references for drawing the characters if you lack a computer, phone, tablet, library, and WiFi—but that’s about it.

A part of me wonders if they make these books because it's a decent cash grab. 👀🤷‍♀️

I also wonder if…

they don’t have much to show (I doubt).

whoever puts these together just don’t gather good content for it.

the curator is just bad at putting together art books. Porbably having no frame of reference of TV art books currently out. If this is true they should not be putting an art book together.

Additionally…The designs since season 3 have been lackluster. 😬

Dull. Uninspired. The characters are not giving the ✨..the pizzazz that the season 1 characters gave. Even Amalia season 3 kinda feels like a downgrade. It's a cute outfit that has meaning (the orange leaf) but, I feel it could have been better.

Also that pants comment in the season 3 art book felt like bullshit.

I LOVED that she was feminine. There is nothing wrong with being feminine. You can be feminine and still wear pants and shorts. It kind of feels narrowminded, but maybe I'm misreading (probably not though). I'd rather them just say that it's cheaper/easier to animate pants and leave it there.

The only good thing about the season 4 art book is adult Yugo references. Am I wrong? 🤔 However, I feel like they could have pushed his design more as well.

As a matter of fact, my guess is that they pick the dull character designs because it’s easier (and more importantly cheaper) to animate simple designs than complex ones.

A simple design can still be appealing though - Echo, Amalia (s3), Toxine, etc.

Among my TV art book collection wakfu season 3 & 4 books are my least favorite. Books I have barely opened since getting.

Side note: The Dofus film art book is nice too.

Be careful, it's one of a kind! - Or: the trial script.

I took a few screenshots and put them through the editor, and there are a few interesting tidbits of information that can be gleaned from the few shots we got of the final trial script:

Supposedly the trial was written by the "Vampire Santiago", and the "Vampire Samuel Barclay". With... "additions made" by the "Vampire Lestat de Lioncourt".

Now the last part is particularly interesting, because as we see in the screenshots we get, that there are quite a few "additions" that Armand makes, but he is not listed there.

We now have (additional) confirmation by Assad (at the SDCC 2024 panel) that Armand was the one who orchestrated Claudia's / their deaths, so let's keep that in mind here. Especially since he is not listed.

"Our red curtain. Our spotlight. Santiago acting as master of ceremonies. But this is the only part of the play that will mimic our normal fare. That and our finale."

There's several aspects to this.

We know that - at least in Armand's tale - Santiago "took over". "Master of ceremonies." But only acting, not actually being. The "mimic our normal fare" both hints at this being not what they normally do, and, given the mock aspect of the trial - it acknowledges the farce it is. It is not a play, not a trial, but something in between, framed as neither, while implementing both.

Santiago's entry speech. With an interesting annotation by Armand: "You are standing half in and half out of your light."

Only, Santiago isn't actually standing in and out of the light. (At least in the version we got to see.)

Now, those who know the books know that the force of Lestat's personality is often called a "light", and not always in a wholly positive manner.

For example there is this comment by Nicolas, which refers to it:

And for every aspect of our proposed damnation you found exuberance, and there was no end to your enthusiasm and the passion coming out of you-and the light, always the light. And in exact proportion to the light coming out of you, there was the darkness in me! Every exuberance piercing me and creating its exact proportion of darkness and despair!

The lights of the stage obviously put them all into focus, too, something that was forbidden before Lestat came and destroyed the old ways. The "walking in the places of light" was one of the things the Children of Darkness accused Lestat of when he encountered them.

I think the comment there is a kind-of-meta comment, of Armand being half in shadow hand half in light. There is a choice here, for light or darkness.

Here, he chooses darkness.

Some things we haven't heard in the episode:

"If the prosecution's evidence convinces you to condemn those HERETICS for the heinous trampling of the vampire laws we will carry out our sentence before your very eyes as only we at the Théâtre des Vampires know how: slowly, inventively, gruesomely."

And then, this lovely stage direction 💀:

"Agency: If and when Claudia or Louis speak, (drive) them together, close their throats, (Santia)go will address it with the audience, as per the below:"

"I don't need to hear from you..."

That part we heard in the trial.

Apart from the stage directions and the part we didn't hear Armand's notes are also interesting once more: "Remember to comment...." and something starting with "Fi"... "Fine" - or "Find their thoughts" (could fit I think). Because this note, even largely unreadable proves once more that Armand was fully in on what they did to Louis and Claudia there. Made sure that the blows... would land.

This one. This one we didn't get to hear! (The part after "Tik Tok")

Santiago reading from her diary: "He soaks in the light from everyone around him, making it all about Lestat. This is most definitely about you and your death."

Light reference again! (See the quote above.)

And (accompanied by Armand's notes to have Santiago hand the diary to the audience):

"I know she was your favorite. I know she was your baby lu. But she had us all fooled. She's the best actor of all of us. She lies so sweetly, doesn't she. But look closer. When the mask falls away, she's a monster."

Oof. When the mask falls away... Pot to kettle.

"I can't hear you." - say it louder.... Lestat.

And then: Lestat's entrance. Being seated in an especially prepared "Bergere en cabriolet".

And here we have another "I can't hear you! Let me f...". It's the counterpart to the blend-over (below), another read from Claudia's diary there, after Lestat talks about loneliness and Louis "abandoning him". (Btw, I don't buy this shift to blame to Louis and Louis "hunting" Lestat for one second, for the record^^. I think that was all very much BS for the trial, in order to make Louis seem guilty to the audience.)

Armand's comment (on Lestat's first lines) makes it seem as if Lestat was less than enthusiastic - or weak. Now, I said before, I think there's quite enough evidence to suggest that the "real trial" might have gone a bit more like in the book, with Lestat mostly out of his mind and his mind meddled with as well (see below).

But the counterpart to the blend-over is actually the most interesting one, imho:

(This is a hard one to see, it's only seen in blend-over and Louis' hand moves across it before the scene fades to Armand scribbling down the note!)

"It This is too early for Lestat to acknowledg[e...]"

This is too early for Lestat to acknowledge. Louis and Claudia, would be my guess. This direction is proof that Armand made directions for Lestat especially as well. It's the only one (we have so far) where he actually writes the name.

Armand knew he could make this direction. And he made it.

Given Lestat and their history this, for me, is proof, that Lestat's mind has been meddled with as well, at times at least. Because there is no way that Lestat would have followed Armand's directions there, imho. Would not have done something, especially in that moment, where they set up the execution.

Yes, Sam is on record saying that Lestat played along with the play itself so he could get into the audience's heads, and therefore make it easier for him to make them shift Louis' sentence to "banishment" (that's where the "additions" come from, in all likelihood), but there, at the point of judgement and the execution being set up he does not look at Claudia (but he does look at her afterwards!), he's staring straight ahead, swaying on his feet.

Taken out of the equation, so to speak.

(That's an extra shot btw, extra shots always carry meaning.)

So.

Quite the script. -.-

Clear stage directions for Santiago, Lestat, and the other coven members should Louis and Claudia try to do something.

Now. I know there have been a lot of posts about Armand "master mind" or "villain" or victim, or what not. And I am glad that Assad has been so very clear on that just recently, though all of it is already given with what the show gave us, imho.

Armand did plan the trial. Did master-mind it. Did pretend. Did direct. Did lie.

He orchestrated their deaths.

And Lestat interfered with Louis' death. At the very least.

And.. Armand continued to betray Louis. For 77 years.

I said it before, I don't quite buy the tower scene, I expect it to get more context, at the very least.

It will be very interesting to see if they return to the trial next season, and in what capacity.

Because all the "hints" are, all the evidence is there already.

"But it's raining outside!" Theo raised is voice unintentionally as he began to panic, spiraling into an anxiety attack. "What if you get sick? Please just stay home, I can order take out. Let's go shopping tomorrow!"

"Please!" A sob choked out of the man as he seemingly lost his strength, collapsing against Reader as he stained their jacket with his tears. "I just want to keep you safe!"

Reader gave in, as they always did, guilt stabbing at their heart until they could calm Theo down and convince him they weren't leaving.

Even if Reader never fell in love with Theo, the man would be content just to be by Reader's side, forever being their one and only best friend. As long as he could continue protecting them, from bad dates conspiring to ruin Reader's life, from management that continuously accepted Reader's overtime volunteering, and from Reader's own silly bad choices... Theo was happy.

Need your help finding a fic I’ve wanted to re-read for years 😅 I remember reading it on AO3, pretty sure it was pre-2020 (I don’t remember exactly when I read it, definitely was several years ago, I barely remember anything about it💀). It was an AU where for whatever reason Kirk goes to school on Vulcan (idk if the VSA specifically), maybe as an exchange student? I remember that Spock was intrigued by him, but he didn’t want to be (like he couldn’t help his attraction to Kirk; I think Spock kept looking at Kirk’s hands throughout the story lmao).

From my hazy recollection I remember at the start of the fic that Spock notices Kirk get off the arrival ship, how his eyes and blond hair stood out. He doesn’t know Kirk’s name yet so he refers to Kirk as the blond boy, or human boy and then eventually as Kirk/Jim. I remember the vibe of other Vulcans having an interest in Kirk and Spock doesn’t like that (jealousy perhaps lol).

I think Spock and Kirk made out in a secluded spot near the end of the story (I think they were hiding for some reason, sorry that’s not specific 😭).

I don’t think it was ever from Kirk’s perspective, only Spock’s. I don’t remember any of the other principal cast being involved, just Spock and Kirk (pretty sure Kirk was the only human student hence all the Vulcans focused on him). I think it was AOS but could’ve been TOS tagged as well.

P.S. I know it’s not the fic “Bonded” by TenSpencerReidPlease, I checked it because it has some similar elements.

My jaw dropped when I saw that Kenjaku killed Kaori! He may have done it in cannon but this surprised me. And him being twins with Geto makes the fall out between them ten times more angsty!! The Geto fic is going to be soooo good, I can feel it now. Also we adopt the twins, I will cry 🥹

having kenjaku kill kaori felt like a necessary evil cos of canon rip 💔 but it just fits in with the story really well and it’s not only his turning point but also oyabun geto’s point of realization where he’s like ‘oh. he’s beyond repair’ and finds out about the other stuff kenjaku’s done too ☹️😓 i imagine kaori was very sweet and highly intelligent so kenjaku was like 1. I can’t have any ‘weaknesses’ still attached to me and 2. she was too ambitious and clashed with his ideals as well. he is sickkkjwhrkdjw like fr my god… and just imagine how geto feels about that as well (devastated)

sooo the shibuya incident in the yakuza jjk au is a mix of the actual real life incident And the one that occurs in jjk (mostly the jjk one though). the similarities being Very Public fights between rival gangs (minus taiwan’s involvement ofc) and the injuries that the jjk characters got during that incident (maki’s burns, nanami’s burns and fucked up eye, etc.). and kenjaku’s goal was still to fuck up gojo; not trap but kill and/or severely injure by using sukuna. that plan failed obviously

3. yuuta my nephew 🥺🩵 no u didn’t miss anything!! admittedly I haven’t mentioned much about yuuta being next-in-line as the oyabun for the gojo-gumi on this blog 😭😭 so I’ll get into the Basics of that rn :3

he’s still gojo’s cousin in the yakuza jjk au. oyabun gojo basically swore that he’d never have a future partner (this was wayyy before secretary!reader) which meant no future heir & next-in-line. ofc the obvious option is having nanami go from wakagashira -> the next oyabun— but the gojo clan wanted to continue to consolidate power and keep a gojo in the oyabun position. which is where yuuta comes in

you can basically think of yuuta as the ‘second’ wakagashira alongside nanami, but yuuta isn’t the official wakagashira. he spends a lot of time handling business for oyabun gojo (arms deals, international trade & smuggling, making sure the gojo-gumi’s businesses that they control stay in line and pay up, etc), settling disputes, or shadowing gojo to further learn from him hands-on.

yuuta lives at the gojo estate with oyabun gojo, secretary!reader, some of the gojo clan elders, and trainees (i did some research on this and sometimes lower-ranked trainees would live in their oyabun’s house or the syndicate’s actual office headquarters for a couple of months-long training period… whiiiich is why oyabun gojo & secretary!reader split their time between the gojo estate and their own separate penthouse + sometimes their vacation homes 💀💀 they need space. Real bad)

Day Thirteen - M is for My Bloody Valentine (1981)

I already passed up on one Canadian movie this month, there was no way I could skip another one. Especially not one that was filmed somewhere other than Quebec, Ontario, or BC. Especially especially not one that was apparently so violent it had ten whole minutes of film cut from most releases that were essentially lost media until they were re-released in the 2000s (and are notably grainier than the rest of the film as a result).

I'd heard of this movie before, and had avoided it for as long as I have because I heard it was notoriously gory and violent. With the tolerance I've acquired from other horror movies, I can safely say this one is pretty tame in comparison to others I've seen (keep in mind that I watch and rewatch Saw movies for fun these days; your mileage may vary) but I still enjoyed seeing where it went and I can understand why it was a bit much for some audiences back then. It was pretty funny being able to tell when something particularly gory was about to happen because the picture suddenly got a hell of a lot grainier, but I think that added to the enjoyment for me personally, and it could serve as easy warnings for anyone more squeamish who's hesitant to check this one out.

Gore and effects aside, this movie feels like a mostly standard slasher up against modern standards. What really sets it apart is the fact that it features a cast of working-class small town Nova-Scotian miners instead of middle class suburban teens or college students, and the fact that it's really Canadian. I haven't seen many other Canadian slashers so I don't have a good frame of reference here, but this movie really feels Canadian even outside the various brands seen here and there. That said, this movie could've easily have taken place in Newfoundland instead and I'd probably just be wondering why they don't sound very Newfie. This might not be a selling point for most people, but whenever I come across a Canadian movie that isn't ashamed of the fact that it's Canadian AND it's good, I have to hold onto it and not let go. I gotta cherish that shit, because it's so rare. There are tons of good Canadian movies out there, just not a lot of famous ones like this.

I don't really have much else to say about this movie, honestly. It's not too different from other slashers besides the level of violence and the setting, but I still think it's worth checking out and I'm really glad I did. If you like slashers at all, you should see this one if you somehow haven't already.

Will be seeing this again. Five, uh... valentine boxes? Outta five 💝💝💝💝💝

I LOVELOVELOVE all the illustrations you've been doing for SL and ROTMR and I've returned to yell at you about it 💗💗

first i wanna talk about the illustration you made for the first chapter of SL. I wanna be not normal about framing real quick, because it struck me as a very specific artistic choice. Our perspective as the audience is placed outside the main setting. Literally. we're peeking through bushes.

we are Not a part of the scene currently unfolding. You could have very easily framed the scene to feel more like Yusuke's pov, but you chose not to. In the written version we're very much reading from Yusuke's perspective, but the audience is never Truly seeing through his eyes, it's not a i/me situation. The audience sort of looks over his shoulder. which, in the illustrated version of the scene, is exactly the position the audience is placed in!

I like that Testuya's gaze isn't on *us, this is a moment between them and them alone. It feels intimate. We're outsiders looking in on a story we have no place in. but ur so gawd darn good at this shit that it doesn't change the power and connection i feel as a viewer. Anyways, all that's to say, I think the connection you made between the two mediums was really neat and very well done. Infinite kudos!!

i mean. WOW. what a way to visualize tension!! I love how the rabbits are framed by the broken glass, it looks like they're trapped. they're walking on glass but scratch that bc the glass is already broken and unless they wanna cut up their toe beans they have to be veryyy careful. 

Also, i love the silly little background yokai they're all so rise coded i love them sosososo much! The little wormy dude? he's literally the love of my life, i'm obsessed with him 

on the topic of background stuff, ny is TRASHED. (referring to the illustration you posted for ROTMR chap. 2) 

I knew there was a ton of rubble and destruction but i don't think i really digested the implications of it all. the purple veins choking metal and concrete? the strong buildings trusted by new yorkers to shelter and protect reduced to unrecognizable rubble?? It evokes such a feeling of horror…and considering possible real world events that may or may not be canon in ROTMR, it hits Really close to home. the whole ordeal is just such a terrible trauma.

on a lighter note, the puppies are adorable as ever! I enjoyed them so much on your cover art for the fic and it's such a treat to see the puppers closer up. I actually love this scene, it's so goofy! poor yuki is concerned for todd's safety on SO many levels 😭😭

Also, i have to bring it up every time, I love the paw shapes 🥺

The way I just JUMPED from my bed this morning when I saw I had an ask from you HIIIII OMG

My Illustration Era is afoot buddy! Listen, I have a to-draw list that lately just keeps getting full of composition and background ideas for specific scenes and what am I supposed to do about it? NOT deliver??

It's just. I feel like I found it, I found a winning formula for creating immersive ambience that involves having at least three layers of objects (foreground, background, and the characters), and it's funny how by adding that bit of distance from the characters, that "obstacle", suddenly the audience acknowledges they're there, like there's a camera they could move in the space. Plus the blur effect, it creates some DELIGHTFUL pictures, and I've been exploring the potential of that method in as many creative ways as I can find with these scenes! Might not be long until I try to tackle landscapes... Myself from a year ago would be so proud...

For SL Chapter 1 my original idea was actually very different. I was thinking of putting the camera well above both of them, inspired by that line that says their ancestors and Grandfather Jotaro are watching them from the wooden beams. In the end I decided against it cause it was a weird angle to find reference for, cause they'd look a bit awkward from above and mostly cause I realized I was particularly interested in showing Tetsuya's face, since in SL this is the lasting impression of Tetsuya that's going to linger throughout the entire fic, and I wanted the viewer to have a clear look at the person we're talking about. The resulting composition was not as "confrontational" as I had originally intended, it actually feels more intimate and warm, although I did make use of sharp light and shadows to create more tension. I feel like it does work in service to the fic as a whole, though 😌 And Rhin also mentioned that "outside looking in" vibe! It plays within the character-centric, present tense third person that Rhin's narration uses, although of course I'm not planning for all the illustrations to be from over Yusuke's shoulder. I'm kind of approaching it like I would movie scenes! This is Yusuke's movie and we'll need to see his face too from time to time adgsffs

Like with the Chapter 5 art! I really really wanted to have a clear view of all three characters, so I was thinking of an interesting and dynamic way to see all of them confronting the oni. Then I got the idea of the broken glass! I was very excited to see what it would look like framed with that transparency. I also had a lot of fun with the little marketplace yokai, finally those weird critter doodles I made on the corners of high school notes can come in handy- Admittedly, it's not exactly the big crowd I was envisioning? But it gets the point across that they're not the only people there.

Regarding ROTMR Chapter 2, oh boy I feel you. With this one I wanted to achieve a sort of contrast between the destruction and the cute comedic puppy rescue moment, which would reflect the duality of that scene and, in a way, the fic itself. I wanted the environment to accurately represent how messed up everything is, cause it really does hit different when you're seeing it in a picture. I actually took reference from the Rise movie, and how New York actually looked during the krang invasion, and was kind of surprised at how much utter destruction is depicted, including the pink/purple goo EVERYWHERE. In contrast with the bleak nighttime setting of the movie, though, this scene is set in broad daylight, so you can see the goo and the buildings and the dusty environment very clearly, but there's also an intended air of calm and you can see a bit of construction going on in the background. The danger has passed, and they're going through the recovery stage now. I'm actually very proud of the puppy designs, they're such cute little goobers, and especially had a lot of fun with the curly haired one- Just a mop hopping across krang rubble don't worry about it.

COME BE SO INCREDIBLY NORMAL ABOUT RABBIT PAWS WITH MEEEE every single time I draw them I imbue in them all the insanity I feel from not being able to touch them. Fantasy is a cruel, cruel mistress my friend.

I'M SO SO HAPPY WITH THAT SPICY TETSUTOSHI, I was taking pose reference from a photograph but dang, I didn't imagine it turning out SO pretty and on-model, I couldn't even decide on which palette to use with it, which is why I just posted two versions. Fun fact, the ref actually didn't have clothing, but I decided to add clothes after the fact cause get this: ruffled clothing actually makes the whole thing so much more sensual. Just trust me on this, it suddenly made everything x10 times better. Listen, the posing gets you in the moment, but the clothing is the story. It tells you where those hands have been before and what they've done. Same with the places where fur is ruffled. This is one of the reasons I don't often draw the strands of fur on my rabbits (even though I love doing it), cause I want them to be purposeful when I do draw them, to really convey that idea of untidyness. AND SO I CONTINUE ON MY QUEST TO DRAW STUFF I WISH TO TOUCH- ahem ahem

Gosh I'm so completely OVERJOYED that you're liking H&H, that one's a bit of a drama fest compared to ROTMR but it's truly a labor of love, I put all the care I possibly can in crafting every chapter. I'm aware my chapters are very chonky and intense, they're full stories more than they are individual scenes; I think that's a style that suits me well, but I also know it's a bit of a daunting task to discuss them in length. Just knowing that you're sticking with us in our madness makes me so warm and fuzzy inside 💕💕💕💕 I treasure every comment and I love you FOREVER!! Pop in anytime so I can infodump at you some more! 🥰

It’s always been because of the gameplay 💀 EVERY! SINGLE! TIME! Before I got Gotham Knights, my friend was constantly like “bro if you want to play a Batman game, get Arkham Knight” and I was like “?? This isn’t about playing a Batman game”. He was comparing me saying I could play as Jason in GK to him saying he could play Godzilla in some shitty game, and that doesn’t mean he would play it.

I got the game when it was on sale (but knowing what I know now, paying full price would have been worth it). And now with all I have said POSITIVELY about the game, my friend has turned over a new leaf and said he’s debating getting it.

Jason Todd is my favourite little guy, I am obsessed with him like no character before him. He’s my favourite character in DC… but Arkham Knight does not look like it would fun for me to personally play.

Gameplay-first players confuse me so much. Like sure, if gameplay is shit, I’m not going to play the game. Lego Batman 2 was so fucking fun because of it’s amazing play, and Lego Batman 3 is shit because of it’s shit gameplay that I haven’t picked it up again because Lego DC supervillains is SO FUN! But Gotham Knights is also so fun actually?

I’m playing on easy (I’m came here for a fun time, not a long time. I don’t like when games are too challenging) so maybe that has something to do with it, and has maybe skewed my perspective a bit. But I really just don’t understand the “AK is better because it had better gameplay so therefore GK is bad” crowd because Wdym GK is bad?? I’d seen online people saying “GK is good when you’re not expecting AK” but I have zero frame of reference for what AK is like because I never played it, so I’m just having a really fun time

Heavily realised I’m a concept-based player, and my friend (I mentioned earlier) is gameplay-based. The games I like that he doesn’t like are concept-based games, and the games that I don’t like that he likes are gameplay-based games.

Yeah…there’s a reason I tend to write Nora as 18-20 mostly, because s5 really tends to treat her more like a teenager/new adult and not the 25+-year-old she is. And her villain arc (for ONE EPISODE omg) is definitely a prime example of that. I love her dearly, but that episode was such a letdown—she had legitimate reason to be angry at Barry, but they framed it as her being a brat throwing a tantrum, which a) diminished the gravitas of the NSF and b) diminished Nora’s gravitas/intimidation factor as a villain.

*tho 6a majorly dropped the ball with Iris’s feelings 💀 I’ll never forgive them for deleting the only scene when she really got to talk about her grief about having to not only lose Barry, but essentially write his obituary (the article)

YESSS EXACTLY the drama would be immaculate!! I think “this isn’t you!”/power of love is great when done right, and it definitely could be here—there would be tangible proof of how much the NSF is corrupting Nora’s mind, there’s nothing redeemable about it, it’s basically whammying her. It’s very literally not Nora in her right mind…and the tough choice between leaving her that way or pulling her out to basically die would be so heartwrenching 😭 Nora would, in the end, be compelled to give it up for her heroic legacy…which hits so much harder if she gave into it in the first place tbh.

Not sure if you’ve made a post about this alr but how would Reyna save Nora from disappearing? You said something about Reyna being a breather. So like Cisco?

I was so so sad when Nora died (and actually wondered what would happen if she ran into the negative sf) but we never got to see that. Ie, her personality with the negative sf being apart of her.

Reyna is indeed a breacher, like her parents, Cisco and Cynthia. The issue, and why I don’t really have much of an answer to your question, is that I don’t really know how Reyna would actually go about doing this 😅

It seems like their powers are vibration-based—they can sense other timelines that way, but can’t necessarily interact with those other timelines (their breaches can traverse universes, but not timelines…at least not on the show). I know Cisco’s powers are way more OP in the comics, but idk if they’re OP enough that someone with his powers could pull someone from a different timeline into this one. So it’s a fun thought experiment, but uh…I have no idea how it would actually happen 😅 because the whole point of this idea is that Nora is in the wrong timeline, so she’d have to be pulled from her old timeline before she could actually be erased, into this new timeline that she’s already been erased from (hopefully that wording makes sense)

Yeah, I was sad when Nora died too. Mostly it rubbed me kinda the wrong way when they brought her back in s7 and just…treated her like “replacement Nora”—this isn’t just Nora revived, this is literally just “oh she died, but it’s okay, Westallen had another version of her and everything is fine!” It felt a little cheap to me (tbh having the two Nora’s interact has been swirling around in my head as a fic concept but…that’s for a different post 😂)

I also think that having her merge with the NSF in the s5 finale would’ve been way better than her “villain arc” in 5x20. Of course, the ultimate end would be “this isn’t you!” and pulling the NSF out of her but…idk, imagine if she raced off at the end of s5, was teased as a new villain for 6a, and Barry has to grapple with fighting his own daughter, knowing that if he pulls the NSF out of her, it’ll kill her instantly. It could make for some great drama (and maybe they could give Nora more villain gravitas instead of just her throwing a tantrum). Though ofc in the end they would ultimately do it…and 6a would end with the immediate onset of Crisis.

Idk. Something like that. It’s not a perfect idea, but it intrigues me nonetheless
