idolish7..... really is a really, really good series. i'm not done with it atm (am an anime-only rn and the oomfie i'm watching it with & i are on season 3 part 1), but it's been a really enjoyable ride so far. the writer has a talent for balancing both immense silliness and immense seriousness, and while it feels a lot like tonal whiplash a lot of the time, it's not like... in a bad way. the pacing goes pretty fast sometimes, but it's not fast in a way that feels rushed. it's just fast, in a way that's still easy to keep up w/ because the material is easy to become engrossed in. i'm constantly surprising myself with new characters i realise i like a lot more than i actually thought i did as we go along. it's a series i really recommend (& going through it makes me excited to look into mahoyaku eventually, which i have heard has the same scenario writer.)

it also actually really reminds me a lot of a3! tonally / vibewise, which i think helped with how i got so interested in it so quickly. like because it's an idol series that came out the same year as enstars i have made a couple of jokes about it as we go through it especially bc they share a handful of voice actors, but despite being about idols it really shares a lot more with a3 to me.

and by that i mean it's a really, really kind series. even with their rivalries, trigger & idolish7 constantly support each other. they're friends with each other. their fans are endlessly uplifting and supportive. re:vale do their best to be good seniors and support the newer idols. even when the groups deal with infighting, it's not because they don't support each other, but because they do. they support each other and want to always be on even footing to the point they butt heads. even with zool, who are kind of haters or something rn, we've already gotten a glimpse of touma being a genuinely really kind person & i know from having seen one of the 8th anniversary stories that they become an oomf unit eventually.

it really reminds me a lot of a3! with how mankai company is constantly supporting and uplifting each other, even when they clash, how even enemies can become friends, and with how everyone sincerely cares about each other at the end of the day. i think a3! also does a very good job of balancing silly & serious, generally (and for one extra point, tsumugi & izumi are both fantastic protagonists who are alllowed to Be Characters Who Speak), so it's fun. going through it really reminds me of when i first got into a3!. makes me feel fond.

tldr; i recommend idolish7, especially to any fellow a3! fans who might be interested in the similar vibes. good series

Hi, thanks for the ask!

For me, Ren has a very distinct character voice, so usually I put in a few words from the Rendog language post and it does like 70% of the work if it's nothing too serious. Hit the dialogue with the Rendogification beam! I know there's a post of people Rendogifying DSMP quotes and it's hilarious. Add a "my dude" before/ after his dialogue and it'll usually work. And maybe pepper in some "get in line"s. Or "outrageous!", "geez", "freakin'".

For HC Ren / Ren in general, I put him as like... a friendly, enthusiastic, charismatic guy who's very supportive of his friends and he's always eager to help. He is kind and sees the best in everyone. He's also very dramatic and unashamed of his dramatic tendencies (singing out loud, posing, twirling). And of course he flirts. He flirts with everything. He's probably flirted with someone's houseplant. He wants everyone to get in line for him. He makes a lot of inappropriate jokes (check my #the rd difference tag) which is greeted with complete silence.

But underneath that, I think he's a guy who tends to look down on himself / self deprecating and he is soooooo self sacrificial. He's gonna be good at something then go "I've never been good at anything 🥺". And he is genuinely so eager to sacrifice himself at all times; he'll probably throw himself in front of his friends to save them. And I think Ren is terrified of being lonely which is why he's clingy. If you leave him to his devices for too long he'll literally burn / blow up his base (Last Life, HC 7). Ren is fantastic with words, he's optimistic and naturally good at bringing people together, but he's also just a doggy who wants company.

Ren is quite talkative and he can ramble about random topics forever. But he also occasionally asks questions to his friends so they can contribute to the conversation. And I think he's fantastic as a storyteller because not only is he a master at "yes, and", he also likes including his friends and subtly inviting them to roleplay with him.

Ren is highly sentimental and remembers a lot of memories. He's not afraid to go sappy and sincere and vulnerable, but then again there's his fear of being a burden. Ren has a tendency to trail after competent, snarky, and mildly intimidating people (insert Ren's greens: Doc, Iskall, Martyn, False, etc) and enjoys being lovingly bullied and lovingly used as a punching bag. He lovesssss being a pathetic lil guy. He loves acting sad and soggy. And he kinda loves being beheaded and beheading his friends.

Ultimately, I think Ren greatly values company and loyalty, and always desires a tightknit group of people to belong to, maybe to even lead (Knights of the Square Table, Dogwarts, etc). And he wants to be useful and not be a burden, leading to his self sacrificial tendencies. He is so eager to serve and offer his services to the rest of the server— in HC, he likes selling / providing food in the early days (HC 4 he made a farm, HC 9 Gigapies) and then proceeds to build infrastructure for everyone to enjoy (HC 6 Hermit Railway Network), or come up with detailed "game" systems (HC 5 Hermitron (?) and HC 9 Hermit Quests). In that way, despite his theatrics, Ren is quite practical and down to earth. Give the man something to manage and he'll be happy.

I don't read a lot of HC fics nowadays but I don't think I've seen like, really severe mischaracterisation of Ren. Probably because Ren RPs a lot so he can RP as a lot of characters which decreases OOC-ness, maybe? Ren's a bit pathetic but he's not a coward, he will literally die for his friends. And while Ren might be a bit of a "derp", he has decent strategies (sometimes) which is mostly him accumulating resources + building a secure fortress (evident in Life series).

For Life series Ren, it's similar but more... guarded and cautious. Still desires a tight knit group of allies (usually his top priority). Still loves gathering his resources and building his defenses. Is kind and forgiving to the point he's taken advantage of (this behaviour decreases in latter series). And he loves his allies with all of his life and would die for them.

A Very Detailed Analysis Explaining Why Asrian is Mid

Yes, I've made a shitpost summing up my thoughts on the topic before. However, I regularly get into bi-weekly complaint sessions about this terrible, horrible ship.

I want to preface this by saying my opinions on the ship come off as very mixed? At least in my head. My problem is obviously more with the fandom than how it's portrayed in the actual game, as you will see. Unfortunately, it's just what happens in fandom. Asra x Julian fits the perfect mold for a potentially popular ship. Two masc-presenting people with a tragic story, yeah cool.

I don't care about people making art or writing about them. I actually think Asra and Julian have an interesting dynamic and I enjoy a lot of their in-game interactions. Here's the thing, and my thesis statement for this post, most of the fanworks surrounding these two that I see in the wild are using the dynamic for the wrong reasons! Furthermore, for Asrian to work out and genuinely last a while, you have to mischaracterize one or both of the characters.

I think that this stems from a misunderstanding of the characters and the circumstances under which their situationship (they didn't have a relationship, I'll get into that soon) sparked. Dorian's pushing of content including the two in a romantic or suggestive context does not help matters.

I think a good example of this was under the original shitpost I made about the topic. I won't put this user on blast because I don't recall their URL, and if you find it do not be mean to them. I had called Asrian one-sided. I do sort of agree now, Asra x Julian is not one-sided. However, one party sure as hell does not reciprocate the feelings as much as the other party does! Here's the thing, Asra and Julian's relationship was born from grief for the death of the apprentice on both sides. However you want to interpret Julian's relationship with the apprentice, it's clear that he had some interest in Asra following their death. But we can see very, very clearly in literally every scene involving Asra speaking to or about Julian, Asra didn't feel the same. Asra loved the apprentice through and through. Asra gave the apprentice half his heart for fuck's sake!

I don't want to say Asra was using Julian, or vice versa. But the other was a distraction from everything going on in their lives, from the apprentice's death to the plague. Hence, situationship. Although I do think there was romantic intention on Julian's end, chances are it fizzled out during the three-year interlude.

It's a very tragic dynamic and I do enjoy it! They drive me INSANE! It's just... a lot of people willfully ignore that. A lot of people ignore that they both have problems they haven't addressed that more than just some kisses will solve, both internally and with one another. And when you ignore that...

...You mischaracterize them. Haha, like my segue? Unfortunately, the best ending for those two is in Muriel's route. Which, as far as we know, the two didn't... ever seriously sit down and have a talk. Which is what they need to do. In order for those two to work out, they need to have a serious, long talk about where they went wrong in the past and what they can do to do better.

Do you wanna know something about those two characters? NEITHER OF THEM WOULD BE WILLING TO HAVE THAT DISCUSSION! Furthermore, their personalities in a lot of media I see (cough cough mostly from Dorian) are completely wrong! I love a morally gray character very much, people tend to erase that from Asra and only make him mischievous if not straight-up an asshole, or very cute and loving, as if the point of morally grey isn't a very confusing middle. I mostly see Julian being characterized as pathetic. Yes, he is my pathetic little wet cat sometimes, but he is smart. He's a doctor. Not only that, he was a battlefield medic at what we can only assume is a pretty young age. Julian has issues but he can handle himself.

I have a lot more I can say on the topic. In short, a doomed relationship where they just have to come to terms with the fact that it wasn't the right time or the right person is much more interesting to read than a perfect one where you get your happy ending. I understand the appeal, but if you want to write them being cute and happy together, I implore you to just... make an au. That is not fixing itself. They both need to be medicated.

2) How easy is it for your character to laugh?

Arthur has always been a very jovial individual, so making him laugh is pretty easy! He often is the sort to crack jokes himself (Hell, he's even prone to laughing at his own jokes), and you'll often find him chuckling and being in good spirits when he speaks to people, especially Eric. He got a little more serious after he was rescued, but he still tends to chuckle, just a bit more weakly.

15) How do they speak? Is what they say usually thought of on the spot, or do they rehearse it in their mind first?

Arthur has a very relaxed, but blunt cadence to how he talks to people. He's always pretty approachable, even when he's in a bad mood, but he sometimes has a bad habit of speaking before he thinks. This often leads to him making comments that come across as a lot ruder than he initially intends to, but most often he will catch himself and apologize. Oftentimes when he’s tried to rehearse things to say, he’s ended up throwing them out the window due to plans changing and simply speaking from the heart, and most of that is stuff that he thinks of on the spot.

A notable situation where this occurred was confessing his feelings to Eric, where he’d planned what he was going to say, and then instead ended up rambling about how much he admired him for 3 and a half uninterrupted minutes, and then confessed his feelings. (And if Eric hadn’t stopped him he would have continued.)

A) Why are you excited about this character?

I love Arthur for a variety of reasons - He’s always been fun to roleplay as a character because he’s very inquisitive, which has allowed me to be a bit more investigative when I play him. He’s also willing to engage in discussion on a higher level of abstraction than some of my other characters in the setting and will engage in debate on topics he might not be very versed in, and that’s just really fun for me to play.

Additionally, his design just brings me a lot of joy? He’s fun to draw, I severely enjoy how he dresses, as it’s very distinct from some of my other OCs, and his design lets me get out of my comfort zone when it comes to body types, which is really fun! I also enjoy how his design has progressed as he has progressed personality wise, as he’s slowly beginning to transition into wearing more dad fashion, and I just find that so endearing.

The change in style is subtle, but I feel it still conveys growth in his character.

~ Personal Projects and Settings ~

Acts, Promises, and Faith (commonly abbreviated to "APF"): My main ongoing original fiction project, with a clearly defined cast and setting and (almost!) a clearly defined overarching plot. Set on an artificially magic-infused planet known simply as Mimue, it follows a catgirl shapeshifter as she struggles to deal with love, loss, the baby(?) eldritch spider that crashed through her roof last night, and the most powerful person to ever exist taking a personal interest in her journey to bring that spider home. The main story is not currently published, and will likely not be for years, but I do hope to make it into a webcomic someday. Or a book. Or a game. Or just... something.

Outside of the main protagonist quartet, the setting as a whole has an abundance of side characters (and not so side characters), most of which feature in some shape or form in the official stories I have published on Ao3! These side stories also contain major insights into the lore and overall status of the world at large, and I always have ideas in the back of my mind for how I can make more stuff like this in the future. Just make sure to read the content warnings on all published works, and know that none of those were published in anything close to chronological order 👉😎👉

It is also important to note that you should treat all of those aforementioned stories as you would expanded universe material for an already-existing show or franchise- with the incredibly notable exception of one reoccurring character in particular, a majority of the cast given focus in the Ao3 fics do not star or otherwise provide a major role in the plot as it's written right now. I'm essentially constructing this universe backwards by first introducing everyone to Glup Shitto instead of Luke Skywalker. But that's okay, because now you can have both as your blorbos in the end! Everyone wins!

I am always accepting asks and inquiries about this world, because I love it to death and I love my blorbos to death and Rigel is my favorite character I've ever made ever.

Overall genre: Urban... ish fantasy character drama, leaning slightly towards low fantasy in general. The technology level in most of the world is equivalent to America in the early 60s, and magic originates from an outside force/gift in this setting, but is also pretty much seamlessly integrated into society by the modern day. While the story and themes are closer to darker melodrama than light-hearted action adventure, the world is distinctly not grimdark and the plot is mainly motivated by and through character actions and beliefs throughout the narrative.

Notable Content Warnings: Depression, allusions to suicide, drowning, burning alive, occasional gore, PTSD and C-PTSD, unreality and hallucinations from the prospective of the primary protagonist, body horror

Main Tag: #apf for general content, #apf info for more specific information about the world (these posts are not up-to-date most of the time, upfront worldbuilding questions are always preferred!)

Where to read it?: The APF anthology collection on Ao3 currently contains every published story I've ever written in ideal reading order! You definitely don't have to follow it in the slightest, it's just a suggestion due to how many fics there actually are. This setting also has its very own discord server, but for security reasons if anyone wants to enter it they'll have to DM me personally. Go on, give it a shot, I certainly won't mind!

"Above": A work-in-progress name for a mostly sandbox (no clearly defined plot) setting about various gods, angels, and demons getting up to mischief across time and space. Dramatically darker in setting and tone than APF, and far less grounded to boot.

The world of "Above" is currently split between two eras- the "past" era, where a newly-born Seraph named Reguel tries their best to follow the wishes of their god, and the "present" era, where the King of Demons campaigns to end a millennium of torment from his cruel patron deity. At its core, it's a science fantasy setting that ends up focusing 99% of its attention on the duo of god-created fantasy races and very little on the already scarce sci-fi elements. Outside of lore about the gods and their creations, the rest of the world is merely a backdrop to demon and angel tomfoolery. To this effect, the actual "main cast" features funny jesters, friendly demon kings that use emoticons every five sentences, murderous malewives intensely in love with their giant goth girlfriends, and one (1) very sexy butler. Truly, some treats for everyone to enjoy.

Also, demons in this setting are floating mood ring space cannibals. That's really just something you have to experience for yourself to understand.

While there is an ongoing askblog based on this world, the events of that blog are not strictly canonical and will probably never be declared as such for spoiler-related reasons I cannot get into... but I'm also not saying the blog isn't canon. Just like APF, I'm always happy to receive and answer asks about this setting, so feel free to send any when you feel like it!

Overall Genre: The past era is a fantastical tragedy, while the present era is largely a nobledark adventure story. The world of the past is seen only through the eyes of an unreliable narrator, while the present is told through many different perspectives across many different species and locations.

Notable Content Warnings: Everything in the book. Psychosis, self harm, cannibalism, gore, dissociation, suicidal thoughts, PTSD, C-PTSD, parental abuse, parental neglect, abusive relationships... this is a dead dove setting, through and through, and it does not pull its punches. Particularly in the past era, but the whole world in general is a dove actively dying inside a paper bag.

Main Tag: #above.

Where to read it?: As this is largely a sandbox freeform setting, there's far fewer defined ways to access information about the setting and lore. The most notable proper story is God Have Mercy on Them, God Have Mercy on Me, a work-in-progress epic set in the past era that describes Reguel's early life and the choices that led them to where (and who) they are today. It has an absurdly slow update schedule because I write in my free time and it's insanely long, but many of its twists and turns are truly something else. One day I will finish it, and on that day it will be my magnum fucking opus. Probably. Maybe. Who knows, really.

The other option is @xx-hail2theking-xx, a currently ongoing roleplay blog centered around King Paimak and his merry band of cannibals. Unlike all other blogs I've managed in the past, it has a clearly defined act structure and is planned to end after a certain point, but that point is still far off. You don't necessarily need to read through the entire blog to jump into the plot at this point in time, but it certainly wouldn't hurt!

Also I've worked on it for like a year and made a bunch of art and writing just for it and it's kind of just my homemade self-imposed summer art project now. In a wacky demon sort of way.

The Omniverse: Technically not just my project, but deserves to be included here anyway! This is a set of Undertale Multiverse roleplay blogs I participate in during my off time, although currently they're on indefinite hiatus due to unfortunate life and scheduling reasons.

The simplest way to explain the overarching plot- the very loose, very improv-based plot- of both blogs I run is essentially that there are two concurrent stories running back-to-back. In one, a recovering drug addict struggles with terrifying concepts like "having morals" and "caring about people", while in other the self-proclaimed King of Darkness and Everything Evil has to contest with a madman that wants to wipe out all of reality and build it anew and has already done so once before.

Oh, and the recoverer is the brother of the King's spouse. There's a truckload of complicated roleplay lore associated with each and every character from this setting, and it's almost impossible for me to single-handedly cover it all- especially considering I don't own half of the major cast.

Nothing is currently being done with them right now, but rest assured at any given moment I am rotating Caeru in my mind like a rotisserie chicken.

Overall Genre: Darkly comedic character introspection drama, and grimdark action adventure with a heavy focus on worldbuilding and characters.

Notable Content Warnings: Addiction, drug abuse, excessive violence, PTSD, C-PTSD, self harm, suicidal tendencies and thoughts... okay, maybe this one is kind of a dying dove too.

Main Tag: #rp stuff dwbi for primarily general RP content, while #hag for Hood and Greylu's verse in particular (the King of Darkness' verse)

Where to read it?: @official-saltbag and @darkness-regins respectively, however the quality of my old (and I do mean old) writing found on these blogs is inconsistent and contains many plot points and characterization choices I'm not sure hold up well today. While I hold no lingering resentment or specific apprehension about the blogs in general, I would much rather someone read my current work if they are genuinely interested in my writing style... and also they both completely lack a chrono tag, so good luck properly reading through them without a saintly amount of patience.

Mistakes, Curses, and Mockeries: APF's semi-sequel, but only in the sense that Deltarune is technically a sequel to Undertale. Set in the same world and continuity as APF, but decades into the future- with a completely separate cast and story structure to boot.

One year after the death of his family at the hands of a mysterious robotic "red devil", a young noble named Equuleus comes to the horrifying realization that he's stuck in a year-spanning timeloop. And in every loop, no matter what, widespread disaster and chaos runs rampant by year's end. Potentially at the very same hands that led his family to ruin.

And thus Leus makes a vow; Force a future where everybody lives, or die trying.

...naturally, it turns out "die trying" can be taken very literally in this exact scenario. Things only spiral from there.

Overall Genre: Fantasy mystery adventures, with a touch of character drama and time shenanigans for spice. Steampunk-magitek-medieval-fantasy mixing pot of a setting with the occasional downright cyperpunk jumpscare. Keeps threatening to become a psychological horror and I keep having to bat it with a stick so it chills the heck out already. (It is doing the exact opposite of chilling the heck out.)

Notable Content Warnings: Major character death, dehumanization, dissociation, existential terror about forgetting everything that you are, insufferable nihilists, potentially even more insufferable fatalists, colonialism

Where to read it?: well first you get a shovel and second you start applying it directly to my skull to get the brain out for advanced noclip telepathy strats... is what I'd usually say, but there's actually a singular fic set in this setting now! I know, I'm shocked too.

Diluc may seem like a strange pairing at first but hear me out! You’re both more on the reserved side and like listening to each other so you always have good conversations. He knows the things you’re interested in and has done some research so he can talk to you about them.

He’s got a naturally realistic outlook on life so your positivity is almost blinding to him. It is a nice change of pace for everyone around Dawn Winery.

Picnic dates near the lake where you can see the fish swimming around below the surface. Diluc’s never really made time to look at the fish before and is surprised when he finds it so relaxing. He’ll have to do this more often…

Please drag him into the kitchen to cook with him. Diluc's a surprisingly good cook and will enjoy spending time with you. He doesn't really mind what you make, as long as it's edible at the end.

Good luck getting him to laugh. Diluc's a naturally serious person but he might crack if you make a particularly funny joke (especially if that joke is about Kaeya).

I love Oogway. He’s funny yet wise like the whole:

“There is just news. There is no good news or bad.”

“Tai Lung has escaped and is on his way!”

“That is bad news.”

But then he pauses and finishes with, “but that is if you do not believe that Dragon Warrior can stop him.”

The tone is serious; we’ve just seen what Tai Lung can do the scene before and Master Shifu is clearly in distress. Master Oogway isn’t making light of the topic at all or making a joke out of it. He’s saying yes, it’s bad new that Tai Lung has escaped. This makes the audience laugh because of the contradiction with his previous statement.

Yet, Master Oogway finishes off with why it’s bad news, and the bad news is if Master Shifu doesn’t believe Po can stop Tai Lung.

He’s not being comedic at all, it’s what he says or the timing he says that makes it funny, but he himself is not a comedic character.

I think that’s the important thing that people tend to do when they make characters. They try to make “funny” characters where their characteristic is literally that they’re funny which doesn’t work. Even comedians aren’t funny all the time. Many comedians are actually constantly working to be the funny person of the group, in fear of not being liked for who they are.

My favorite two comparisons are Sokka and Bolin from Avatar. Sokka isn’t trying to be funny all the time. He’s not cracking jokes or is lighthearted like Aang. It’s the things he says or things that might happen to him that are silly, which is what makes us like him as a comedic character. He’s not actively trying to be funny many times when the audience laughs, but then you do get those times where’s he’s a teenager goofing off with Aang that is funny (Mr. Sokka, Mr. Aang bowing competition) because they’re being silly

Meanwhile in Korra, Bolin felt really forced to be a funny character as if trying to make up for not having Sokka there. While I liked Bolin and thought he was a nice guy, I didn’t like how forced his humor felt in the first season. Especially compared to Uncle Bumi who I enjoyed a lot more, and like I said, Bumi wasn’t actively trying to be a funny character, but he was definitely a comedic character with his wit and personality.

Thus, writing out how your character interacts with others, and how their dialog or interactions can be funny to the audience without them looking like a joke is important.

how to make your writing be remembered forever and possibly be well loved.

(incredibly stupid and silly fanfiction line at the end of this post) I know that title is incredibly daunting but listen, its very simple. you ready?

MAKE STRONG CHARACTERS

"but kat! surely its not that simple! " nononono listen. bear with me. I want you to think of your favorite thing. Now ask: what do you remember the most about the thing you love? I will go first:

I love team fortress 2. and guess what: this game has been around since 2007, and was in development hell since before I was even born. The game has been around for 16 fucking years. And guess what? in the strong year of 2023 team fortress 2 Is STILL getting memed about. and do you want to know the crazy part? the character designs to the naked eye are not special at all. ok sure from a designer standpoint, these are very well designed characters made so that you can easily tell who they are based on their silhouette. but from the average joe.... tf2 is iconic but overall it looks ok. it doesn't seem special to a stranger to tf2. look at this completely random and arbitrary example of a game in the same genre:

I don't know shit about the characters in overwatch. Yeah i have a BASIC idea on what their personality is like based on voice lines and some videos i guess... but in-game they just exist. these characters are brightly colored, they have beautiful unique designs, hell they have even more diversity such as robots and people from other cultures! but i don't remember shit about these characters. Maybe I remember the ice lady and tracer, but nothing else. and yeah part of overwatch struggling right now is incompetant development, BUT: The characters in team fortress 2 are SO remember-able because the characters have such a vibrant personality. I am an orange box owner, its been a decade and a half and I am still remembering this game and enjoying art about it.

Overwatch is a very serious game! are you saying comedy is needed to make a character more noticeable?" no. though I think allowing your characters to lighten up every now and then would humanize them. Not full on goofy, just give them something that makes them likeable. and if you cant do that, you can STILL make a compelling character even though they are mostly seriousness. I have an even more awfully thought out example:

kung fu panda is a masterclass in making a serious comedic movie somehow work. Master Oogway.... he isn't a comedic character at all. Yeah we made memes about him, but ignoring that, he is a wise and resourceful person. He is at calm and has faith in this intuition. there are a lot of characters like this. What makes Oogway stand out is that he is also a little bit kooky and sassy.

this youtube clip sums up what I mean. It is a funny line, it fits the character, and It doesn't ruin the seriousness of the moment. Some of the most successful series in history have something about them that has appealed to people. In my opinion: characters with strong personality and interesting traits is always a good way to ensure your writing is successful. The second most important is the characters bouncing off of each other in terms of their chemistry with each other. There is a reason why I spent years playing the first Destiny game and all of the DLC, but I remember fuck all about the characters. I think I maybe remember the bootleg star lord robot guy.

A writing exercise

here is an exercise to get you in the spirit of character making. step 1- get a random character from a random bit of media. In this case let me bring you master Oogway. Step 2- Get a completely different character from a completely unrelated series. I am going to give you Scout from team fortress 2. step 3- write a random ass thing about them interacting. Think about how the characters would react to each other and why. Think about each characters values in life and think about how they would bond and conflict with each other. Think about characters similar to the character they met in the past and how they reacted then, and if they have never interacted, make something interesting with it. Step 4- keep experimenting. Once you get into the spirit you can apply this to any new character you could want to make anyways thats it byeee- "arent you going to do that ?" do what? "make a writing thing about oogway and scout. " ........

Scout: let's go turtle you got nothing on my speed- Oogway: The one who first resorts to violence shows that he has no more arguments. Scout: that sounds like chicken talk! come on tough guy let me have it- Oogway then proceeds to make scout eat shit before vanishing in a cloud of cherry blossoms and dust from the desert. - Alright if someone’s cheating on you, he might just beat their ass. He’ll be by your side most of the time to see how you’re doing if he’s not busy with his wives or any work he may have.

- While he may not be the best in comforting someone after a breakup, he tries what he can- Maybe a few small hugs would be included within the comforting, but that’s if you’re miserable. Bet your ass he’s gonna erase a hoe from existence if you’re like that because he doesn’t like seeing that look on you-

• Certified, best older brother figure. If you’re a God, and just a younger brother figure, most likely that you two are eating candy together and just chilling around in Heaven, meditating like the calm mfs you two are- Small jokes are cracked every now and then with confident talking about Gods at times- But if you’re really his younger brother as a Human, he’ll still care as much as he does now. Hell, he may help you turn into a Demigod if you really want to stay with him-

- Though, if we’re getting into cheating now, Buddha can immediately tell that something’s wrong with you. That energy in your soul is displaying a sadness and depression that shouldn’t belong in his vicinity, no sir. So, Buddha will tend to question you about it. And when you happen to tell him about what happened, he would suppose of talking about it instead of meditating.

- He knows how to comfort people, especially when they’re in a low point. He’ll explain that the person who had cheated on you isn’t exactly the happiness you had to find in life. Happiness is something you’ll have to find yourself. Not within someone else. Maybe a bit of meditation to find a good point of relaxation would help? Maybe you want some food of your choosing? Buddha will help with that, hell yes. He wants you happy, and he doesn’t want to see you so depressed.

- Maybe if you want, you two could go to a different place other than Heaven. After all, being in one place could be pretty boring, even if said place is something that you could find peace in. Though, Buddha supposes that other places could help you find peace as well. As long as he can see you happy, he’ll do it.

- While on the Topic of cheating, Thor doesn’t exactly know how to deal with comforting you. The only thing he can do is just listen or keep you close. There may be awkward pats to the back as he listens to you vent. Though, as an older brother, Thor does feel a protective feeling for you to an extent.

- If you want him to kill a bitch he can. But most likely that he won’t since he doesn’t really feel the person worthy- And, he wants you to handle the matter yourself. While he can be slight comfort material, the matter of resolving that business is up to you, and only you.

- Listen, if you’re miserable, and it’s that bad, Thor will help you to some extent. And if he happens to encounter the one that cheated on you, his older brother instincts will kick in, and he will give them the biggest death glare while tightly clenching his Mjölnir. it warms your heart to know he pays so much attention to you because you often feel like you’re the only person that pays soo much attention to what people say

kuuro is pretty laid back

he’s got that lazy smile on his face often

and he doesn’t make a big deal out of things

your differences tho are significant and hard to overlook

especially when you hardly knew each other

you are a really emotional person and like to perceive the world around you regarding

tsukki on the other side is reasonable and logical in almost all parts of his life

and he’s a little put off by overly emotional or sensitive people

(also because he tries to HEAVILY deny that he too has emotions, more than he let others see)

so yeah, at first the two of you hardly got along

probably only prompted to spend time together through yamaguchi or school work

but when you do get to be around each other more tsukki notices a few things

things that despite his attempts at neutrality do make him pay attention to you

you are a gentle and caring soul

you’re empathetic and you easily form emotional connections with others

he can see it frustrates you that the two of you don’t vibe as quickly

Clumsy S/O x Genshin

Summary - As someone clumsy, the genshin boys often pay special attention to your little accidents and mishaps. One day they snap, comforting ending though ;-;

Pairings - ClumsyReader x Childe / Albedo / Xiao / Diluc

Warnings - A bit of possessive behaviour for Xiao- but otherwise, a tad bit of angst at the beginning of each one.

A/N - After I wrote Albedo’s hc I realized that seeing him angry… would be really hot. Might write up a degradation one after-

Childe

“Stop it! It’s not funny anymore!”

It wasn’t surprising that once again, you’d managed to trip on your own feet and now somehow the vase sitting on the stool next to the couch had fallen… and broke.

But it was the first time you’d heard those words come from him.

“What do you mean… stop?”

Childe had never said anything about your clumsy antics, always picking you up and laughing or teasing the situation off. On the occasion that you got hurt, he’d tend to your wounds and make you promise to be more careful. Of course there was always a next time, and next time, and text time…

Until Childe had enough.

“From falling- tripping over your feet and taking down everything with you! No one tumbles around this much… so either you’re just doing this for fun or- or…”

He began to realize after those words that he’d taken it too far. When glancing at your teary eyes and how your figure started to shake he knew he couldn’t take those words back.

He knew it wasn’t your fault, he knew you tried to be as careful as you could.

But it was so frustrating.

You were still laying on the ground from the fall, and he bent down to help you up. You didn’t look him in the eyes, and an empty feeling buried itself in his stomach when you stood up.

“I’m… sorry.”

It was you who spoke these words, shoulders still shaking. You knew it might’ve been frustrating or annoying for Childe.

The two of you are just standing there, Childe feeling ten times guiltier because you apologized, and you feeling terrible because you’d broken another vase and he’d yelled at you for it.

The two of you feel so bad about it- ;-;

It isn’t till Childe acts out and pulls you into a hug that you realize he felt bad for yelling at you. Sure he may have been frustrated, but it was only cause he was worried about your well being, he didnt want you getting hurt.

“Im sorry Y/n… I didn’t mean to act out like that. I know you're trying your best.”

Albedo

“What happened.”

It was supposed to come out as a question, his eyes trailing over the mess of his lab and the sorry pitiful state it was in.

It didn’t come out sounding like a question.

Seeing Albedo angry of all things was only a myth among the knights of Favonius, a joke to Klee, and a topic never brought up to the citizens of Monstadt.

Albedo? Mad?? Impossible.

Well, you were living proof that it indeed wasnt a myth to see the alchemist angry.

“I fell…” was all you said in response to his glare. “I wasn’t paying attention and I tripped against the table… I’m sorry…”

Of course you were sorry, just waiting for Albedo to get home and maybe scanning the lab and all his experiments while he was away. No bad intentions, but unfortunately your bad habit of tripping over your own feet summoned itself at the worst moments.

Usually, Albedo would catch you with utmost ease. A reflex he’d learned from Klee before she went sprinting out to cause more of a ruckus. If you were to get hurt, he’d usher or carry you back into his house before patching you up. It was always quick and painless, but he made you repeat why you’d fell and how to avoid it.

Albedo wouldn’t be comforting you now.

“You fell?” He simply asked, his tone menacing enough to know that it was something important in that jumble of experiments. “You seem to do that a lot nowadays don’t you?”

You’re at a loss for words, “I’ll help you clean it up… I didn’t mean to-”

Not wanting to mention how the glass shards had cut your hand, you stood up with wobbly knees to start picking up the pieces of glass. You were sure your boyfriend had put a lot of work towards this, and you felt terrible for having ruined it all.

Albedo isn’t a savage tho.

He notices the cut on your palm, and your shaky figure as you begin to clean up the mess you’d made. He knows that cleaning up the lab as soon as possible is important, but you’re still his top priority.

“Come here.”

When you don’t immediately go to him, he walks to you. Taking your wrists and getting a good view of the injury. He tugs you to the doorway to get you fixed up, and realizes that you’re shaking, a little bit too much…

“It… seems I was a bit too harsh earlier.” He fully faces you, expression softening. “I’m sorry, I know you didn’t mean to, none of the items on the table were of any importance if it makes you feel better.”

Please let him wipe any stray tears if you do cry, he didn’t mean to sound so angry, and really doesn’t care too much about what was on that table. Poor man’s just had a tough day at work.

Xiao

“I worry for you, every single minute of every goddamn day- every moment that my eyes aren't on you! Why don’t you make it easier for me and just sit still?!”

Xiao is protective.

That fact is known, its accepted, you might even find it endearing.

But Xiao has lived a much longer life than you, he’s seen the people he loves crumple and drain away. Watched them fade from his life one at a time, so he’s dedicated to making sure you stick around.

He knows that eternity isn’t an option for you, so he makes sure that the time you both have together is s a f e . Which means yes, he will catch you every single time you fall. Especially if it’s off the Wangshu stairs that you somehow always trip on?

The poor boy worries excessively for you, so much that he will try to hurry up the process of clearing out the normal hilichurls or threats that lie around Liyue Port.

But on the very rare occasion that you somehow end up into trouble without him there…

You don’t yell “Xiao” like he told you to, you know he makes such an effort on making you safe, a bit too much… you don’t want to summon him to every trouble you have. You’re independent, one scrape isn’t going to kill you.

“I’m fine,” you simply say when he comes back to find your whole hand encompassed in bandages. “Just tripped.”

Xiao is not impressed.

He worries too much, far too much, and seeing you brush it off when he tries so hard to make sure you’re never in pain- he wishes you’d just sit still, wait for him and not trip on your own feet when doing such mundane things.

“I worry for you, every single minute of every goddamn day- every moment that my eyes aren't on you! Why don’t you make it easier for me and just sit still?!”

You’re obviously taken aback by the statement, “Xiao?” You offer him a comforting hug, trying to loosen his stiff muscles. “It’s impossible from protecting me from everything y’know… I appreciate your worry but I’m fine.”

But that’s a matter that is strained between the two of you, and will continue to be that way until either Xiao somehow lets go of his protective anxious faze, or you just accept it.

Either way, the boy will continue to catch you when you fall. Even if you broke apart from him, left him, you’d still occasionally feel the lightest touch when you trip over your feet and feel yourself steadied.

Diluc

“Are you doing this on purpose?!”

Just like Xiao, Diluc is fairly protective over you, especially if it concerns your health.

He’s often not quick enough to catch you, but instead picks you up in his arms and sits you on the table to make sure you’re not hurt.

You often get bruises, but nothing more serious. He makes sure to kiss them better- something you jokingly stated once, and he’s actually taken it seriously.

“Kissing it will make it feel better? You’re sure?”

Overall, Diluc was very understanding to your clumsy antics. Maybe even find it endearing on a hard day of work, either way, he’d never yell at you for it.

Until he had enough.

It’s exhausting, to hear something clatter and know that you’d probably tripped. Tripped and harmed yourself in one way or another, the options were infinite, and Diluc’s anxiety could heighten at the slightest crashing noise.

“Are you doing this on purpose?!”

Eventually it became too much and he asked you that exact question, hands tangling through his hair as he stared at you wide eyed, furious. There you were on the floor, just a single chair knocked down as you were beginning to shakily stand back up.

“No… of course not. I wouldn’t do these things for fun-“

It’s not like you enjoyed absentmindedly stumbling into objects, it just… happened. Diluc was usually so patient and understanding… so why?

“I know… it’s just...” he rubbed the temples on either side of his face with his thumbs, frown set in a line. “I keep worrying and worrying- every time I hear a noise like that…”

It doesn’t take long for him to sort this out through a conversation, and then settle that you need to be more mindful and careful, something you have to improve on. He will simply watch on the sidelines, catch you when he can, and coax you when you end up hurt.

To the other anon(s), I am working on your request! This will contain both fluff and angst. I forgot to include Leorio in this, so I’ll include him in the next HxH post. You’ll have to forgive me, I have 2 more requests in my inbox and I am not feeling the best. I just got my second Covid shot and it is hurting like hell. Nevertheless, I encourage you all to get your shot if you can. I will be on this site one and off and I should be on it for real next week. I have run out of ideas to write and I began to think I was annoying people with my HxH content (no one said this I just assumed). This post has 1974 words. After these requests are finished, I plan on doing a character analysis for Leorio.

Anyway, let’s get into the post!

We’ll start with Hisoka this time.

Hisoka

In all honesty, this man has heard of a hospital (since he sends a lot of people to it after fights) but has never been in one.

The signs, floors, staircase numbers, and elevators all confuse him. He has only been in one once when he was a kid and has never been again.

He isn’t a social butterfly in this setting because this is a professional establishment and not a college party. Asking for directions takes quite a toll on him because of his established pride. You know guys act when they want to find a destination on their own and will go miles out of the way instead of just asking for direction.

He doesn’t talk to anyone; all he wants to do is find you and make sure you are alright.

He is the tallest person in the freight elevator. So tall that everyone at turns to look at him at once for at least 10 seconds and turn back around surprised.

“How tall is he,” one of the nurses ask.

“Tall enough to be my house!”

This annoys him. He takes out the Joker card and lays it against his thigh but realizes he cannot make any hasty decisions. His bloodlust was activated merely out of irritation and not by threat. You were on his mind and destroying these worthless humans wasn’t an option for today.

He approached the guest desk and waited for about 2 minutes before he was acknowledged.

“May I help you,” a smug receptionist asked. Wow, these people do not know who they’re talking to.

“I’m here to see y/n.”

“Y/n is in room 345. Go down the hall and to the right all the way down.”

This man nearly ran with a quickness! His jester shoes somehow made the floor shake as he ran.

You were awake, eating the horrible food the hospital provided and watching TV. It seemed like you were doing ok, but you had just been in a car accident. Your arms and right leg were still sore. It was so bad that you’d be fine with Hisoka carrying you everywhere.

When you two are alone in serious public places, he doesn’t play games or tricks. He is often portrayed as a ruthless man, but in settings like this, he places the jokes and games aside for later. When he enters your room, he is silent for 30 seconds. Much too long. He was shocked; he walked around your hospital bed, pulled up a chair, and stared at your cast. It had many names written on it.

“Yes, I am ok.”

“I apologize for not being there for you,” he began to say.

“Shh… it’s ok. This is life. It hurts like hell, but I’m a trooper!”

Admiring your cast and its multiple fonts of handwriting and messages, he grabbed a sharpie marker, wrote his name, with a heart and spade next to it. Surprisingly, his cursive was very neat and legible.

“I didn’t know you knew how to write in cursive! Why don’t you write me letters?”

“I see you every day and it hurts my hand.”

The doctor wouldn’t be in for another 1 ½ hours, so Hisoka used your thigh as a pillow as he took a nap. He had been up for countless nights thinking about you. He was screwing up so bad, Chrollo let him leave early.

“As soon as your better, we will fight again. I won’t go easy on you. You won’t be in the hospital but you get the jest.”

Illumi

Illumi isn’t the type of man to overreact in these types of situations. When you both agreed to date each other, you knew you all were tough cookies. You were aware of the dangers of dating an assassin and he knew about the dangers of dating a bounty hunter. People hated you both and you targeted.

One night you both were caught in a vulnerable state. While you both enjoyed chocolate milkshakes at a laid-back 1950’s styled diner, two men were previously thrown out for fighting. While your back was turned one of those men shot your arm, causing you to carelessly throw your body to the ground due to impact.

While everyone else was screaming, Illumi jumped to the ground and tied his hair tie around your arm to temporarily stop the bleeding.

“Illu, why does it feel cold in here,” you managed to breathe out.

His heart dropped to his stomach for the first time in history.

“Don’t say things like that!”

Illumi is already horrible at displaying emotions, but all he could do is frown in fear. Once the EMS came barling in, he demanded that he ride with you.

Illumi hadn’t experienced anything like this since Killua had been injured when he fell from a tree.

You and he were separated when you were rushed into surgery leaving him alone in the waiting room.

When Illumi is stressed and cannot properly display how he feels, he tends to act in “odd” ways.

He begins to furiously turn pages in magazines or bother the receptions every 2 minutes about the status of your surgery. When the woman finally says that you’re still alive, he tones it down a little.

Illumi is open to conforming advice from strangers; he has been receiving it secretly from strangers. Since Silva was busy abusing him, he often found comfort from “the streets”.

He has a bad habit of pacing back and forth and fidgeting in his seat while horrific images fill his mind. All he has seen is pain and even though he was used to it, he didn’t want you to go through it as well.

While sitting in his seat (finally!) and head in his lap, doubled over indescribable sorrow, a little girl walks up to him with her hands folded and a doll under her arms. Illumi feels her presence and looks up. The girl’s curly hair covered her endearing eyes and her smile is wide.

“They’ll be alright. I just know they will,” turning around returning to her mother, the girl said with confidence.

On cue, Illumi placed his hand over his heart, smiling just a little.

He walked quickly to your room once you were out of surgery.

His speed walk mimics one of a soldier; his left arm in since with his right leg. His shoes echoed throughout the hall.

As soon as he enters the room, he shuts the door harder than usual and gives you a tight embrace. This surprises you! You’re lucky if he lays his head on your shoulder!

Illumi had been working out lately. He wanted to beat you in the “squish the melon” contest. He is very competitive and even if he lost, that doesn’t hurt his ego. Not in the slightest. Since it was just the both of you alone, he bends down to hug you tight, so tight that your face is squished against his.

This behavior is only surprising because he usually doesn’t coddle you even when you get hurt, but this time he realized that you could have died from the gunshot wound.

After that he kissed your forehead and almost simultaneously the doctor barreled in just missing the sweet moment between you and your beau.

Chrollo

When Chrollo is holding meetings with the Phantom Troupe, he always appears to be neutral. That is very important. A leader has to show strength even through the worst/hurtful times of their lives.

Chrollo had gotten a call from Nobunaga that you had gotten hurt on a mission and had actually gotten captured by the enemy. Phinks was able to get you back but you suffered horrible injuries.

This is protocol; they do this for any of the members. The troupe was oblivious to the fact that you and Chrollo were dating. They thought you were here to replace Uvo.

In situations like this, he is calm on the outside but screaming on the inside. Common sense will tell you if you are startled by the news you’ve just received and you begin to drive, you could cause more harm on the way to your destination.

Chrollo is very silent; he doesn’t call to check on your status or anything; he would rather see it for himself.

You were a trooper! After all, you are dating a dangerous robber.

Chrollo already knew what room you were in so he just went.

“I knew I should have kept y/n by my side. Y/n insisted on doing my dirty work that they almost died! How foolish could I have been?” He constantly cursed himself for letting his guard down with you.

He always gave you room to think and complete your own tasks but he can’t help his protective nature; one he has for the troupe but times 10.

His childhood friends had been shot by law enforcers, his home was horrific, and the last thing he needed was for you to be gone. You were keeping him afloat in society.

When he opened the door, Phinks was sitting in a chair, one leg over the other, laughing at a TikTok video.

Nobunaga on the other hand was watching the world news and seemed invested that he didn’t hear Chrollo enter the room. Once they both saw, they stood to their feet.

“Y/n is ok boss. They suffered a few cuts and burns, but they're breathing.”

Chrollo’s straight face remained as he stared at you.

Chrollo’s silence is something the troupe has internalized as a sign of anger, rage, or both. When he didn’t speak and just stared, everyone knew that their next mission was going to be a brutal one.

Chrollo is a man that isn’t afraid to express how he feels. He could cry right now if he wanted to and no one would dare laugh at him or insult him. After all, Nobunaga cried when he realized Uvo was dead.

Nobunaga and Phinks excused themselves as they saw him place his hand over his mouth.

Once the door closed, He pulled up the chair, grabbed your hand, and gently squeezed it. His warmth woke you up instantly and you turned your head. You winced in pain causing Chrollo to jump from his seat, moving to your right side so you wouldn’t turn your head too much.

“I’m glad you're alive, darling. What were you doing putting yourself in danger? Feitan could have handled the beast!”

He isn’t trying to doubt your ability to fight, he’s just concerned for your safety. Even so, why would he insist that you join the spiders?

A tear dropped from his face as he silently kissed your hand three times. You smiled warmly and placed your right left hand on top of his.

“I am fine, boss. You need not worry. I’m a trooper, remember?”

He placed your hand against his dry cheek and continued to kiss it. You were his lifeline and he wanted to spend every moment with you.

The sound of laughter faded back into earshot as you made your way from the kitchen to the living room, taking your seat at the bar behind the couch. Amy and Casey were sitting on the couch in front of you with Pete on the chair directly across from them. They were all enveloped in a conversation that jumped from topic to topic. You weren’t entirely interested, only half listening as you allowed yourself to zone out and enjoy your snack.

In hindsight it probably would’ve been best to stay checked in, considering when you zone out your mind tends to wander to things a little less than appropriate. Thoughts of messy kisses and slow touches filled your mind and you quickly realized you’d been staring at Pete. It was a lot easier, after all, to imagine him doing those things to you when he’s sat right in front of you. He notices you staring, his eyes flicking from his sister up to you. A smirk spreads across your lips as an idea pops into mind.

You pull the skin of your banana down a bit more, sliding the tip in your mouth, making sure to look him right in the eye. There’s a small smirk on his face as he shakes his head in disapproval, looking back at his sister in an attempt to not give you the attention you so desperately wanted. But he couldn’t help but look back up every few minutes, watching as you took more and more of the banana into your mouth. At first he had figured it was a joke, just a harmless joke about something vaguely resembling a dick (his favorite kind of joke), but it had become clear that you were genuinely attempting to seduce him right now.

this is in reply to my last post i made about how Cas is good autism representation in fiction, I just wanted to back it up with how i came to the conclusion he’s autistic (or why I think he’s autistic anyway) if you want to go back and read that post you can, but you dont have to because i bring up some points on here that i did on there, just more in depth, so... enjoy!!

⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨⭐✨

🌠 (1) while for most angels, it was very easy for them to become accustomed to the humans ways and pick up on how they act and mimic said acts, but it took Cas multiple seasons to show any progression in attempt to assimilate. So he tended to stick out a bit.

🌠 (2) he doesn't have a very solid speech pattern, and his speech all depends on who he's around (a classic sign of masking). For instance, he talks very formal and tenses up while out solving cases, speaking in monotone the whole time, but is very relaxed and more comfortable talking at home with Sam and Dean. presenting a little more emotion in his tone.

🌠 (3) while on the topic of speech patterns, he has a hard time picking up on speech tones and recognizing emotions within another person's voice. He can't always tell if someone is joking or being serious. this is why he prefers talking on the phone over texting, because he has an easier time understanding peoples tones. in addition to this, he has difficulty picking up on social cues and the tone of the atmosphere.

🌠 (4) he is very blunt and straight forward with how he words things, and doesn't necessarily always think before he speaks.

🌠 (5) while Cas is an emotional person, and its clear that he loves his family very much and would do anything for them, he has a hard time not only understanding others emotions, but has trouble sometimes showing or expressing the way he feels as well due to not understanding how human emotions work 100%. so, while Cas may always be down for a good hug, he doesn't really know how to describe the emotions behind a hug. so we don't see very many scenes of Cas expressing his feelings freely or getting affectionate with the Winchesters until later in the series when we see him assimilate a little more.

🌠 (6) Cas shows classic signs of intersectional rejection sensitive dysphoria (which means he most likely also has intersectional ADHD) because he is at constant battle with what is right and what is wrong, and if he should trust his emotions, or if he should trust his logics. because he’s worried that if he makes the wrong decision he’ll mess up and he will no longer have a family. this plays a big part in his constant internal conflict of understanding his own emotions. you can tell he wants to be more open, but he’s so worried about what is right and what is wrong it takes away from how he’s really feeling.

🌠 (7) Last but not least, Cas gets very overwhelmed when out at social events or working a case and there’s lots of people, especially if he's on his own. He stays strong and tries his best to be determined, but when the going gets tough and something goes wrong. he'll eventually just give in and call Sam and Dean. not to say he can’t be independent, he can very much protect himself, but thats only if he’s relying on his angel abilities or some type of supernatural weapon.

A-Accident (would they blame themselves if you died in an accident?)

He may not blame himself entirely if you were to die in an accident. But Zoro would think himself weak. How could he possibly become the words greatest swordsman if he can’t even protect his s/o.

B-Break up (How would they break up with you?)

Before breaking up with you Zoro would start to distance himself a little to try and make it easier on the both of you for when he does break up with you. Other than that, he is likely to just come right out and say exactly what he wants to say. He’s brutally honest and straightforward so he won’t try to sugar coat anything or beat around the bush.

C-Crying (how would they make you cry?)

Zoro does this horrible thing where he likes to overwork himself to the point of exhaustion. No matter how many times you tell him to stop and express your concerns for his health, he just doesn’t listen. It hurts seeing the man you love more than anything exhausting himself.

D-Death (how would they react to your death?)

Speaking of overworking, after your death he works himself harder than he ever has before. Day in, day out he’s training. He trains every possible minute to distract himself from your death and make himself stronger to ensure he never loses a loved one ever again.

E-Emotion (what is one emotion they would try to hide the most and how would they do it?)

Being openly vulnerable is something Zoro doesn’t like to do. He really only shows his vulnerable side with his s/o and even then, it took him a really long time to do it.

F-Fight (do you two ever fight? How big are the fights? What do you fight about? Etc.)

Very rarely do your fights get serious. Your fights are often just light-hearted teases and jokes towards one another. Where its always followed by laughter or eye rolls.

If your fight was to get serious, it would result in a lot of yelling at one another and with Zoros blunt personality, a lot of hurtful words (which he ALWAYS apologizes for in the end).

G-Guilt (what is the biggest thing they feel guilty about?)

The events of Sabaody weigh heavily on Zoro’s mind. He was the first one to get sent away by Kuma, so feels as though he failed not only his captain, but the whole crew as well. He wasn’t there to protect them, to help them. Instead, he was a complete failure. And, because of his weakness his captain had to fight and suffer alone.

H-Heartbreak (what would cause them pain in the relationship? How would they deal during a break-up?)

During a break-up Zoro does what he would in any other situation: workout. He keeps himself occupied by working out, and actually he drinks a little bit more than usual too. It could even get to the point where the rest of the crew feels as though they need to step in.

I-Injured (how would they react if you are badly injured?).

He turns dark. Basically, a demon in human form. Moves you from wherever you are so that you’re out of the way of more danger AND THEN HE TIES HIS BANDANA ROUND HIS HEAD BECAUSE THIS SHIT IS SERIOUS.

J-Jealousy (what do they do if they are jealous?)

Its ridiculously obvious when this swordsman is jealous. He gets super grumpy and tries to intimidate the other person. He’ll stand right behind you and honestly, that’s intimidating enough on its own. But, if the other person doesn’t get the hint he’ll place his hand, ever so casually, on his swords.

K-Kill (would they kill for revenge?)

Ever since joining the Straw Hats, Zoro doesn’t kill others (its not something Luffy wants his nakama to do, so Zoro doesn’t do it). However, that mindset goes straight out the window depending on who he’s taking revenge for (i.e if it’s for his s/o).

Most of the time Zoro just leaves them wishing they were dead. (this seems to be a common thing amongst One Piece characters).

L-Loss (what is their greatest loss?)

I would actually say losing some of his pride. Zoro is a poud man, who refuses to lower his head to anyone. However, after receiving the message from Luffy to train and meet up again in two years, Zoro knew he had to lower his and beg Mihawk for his guidance. It was definitely a hit on his pride, but, honestly… He doesn’t regret that one bit – anything for his captain.

M-Mistake (what is the worst mistake they ever made with you?).

During one of the few big fights you guys have had things got really heated and the fight ended up getting so off topic. Insults and mean words were being thrown out left and right. Zoro got so caught up in it all that he said something that targeted one of your deepest insecurities. He knew he had screwed up so badly when you walked away without even saying anything.

N-Nightmares (how often do they have them? What are they about? How do they deal with it?).

He doesn’t often get nightmares, but when he does they tend to be about Sabaody and when the crew got separated from one another (or really any other incident where he was unable to help properly). After he wakes up, he gets straight out of bed and starts working out – determined to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

O-Outrage (how and why would they get mad at you?)

Zoro doesn’t get mad at you for much, mainly if you pay any attention to that shitty cook, like seriously, he doesn’t understand why you have to give Sanji any attention when Zoro is literally your boyfriend….

P-Past (what has happened in your relationship that changed the way you saw each other?)

Even though you never found out exactly what happened on Thriller Bark (its something Zoro refuses to tell even you), it made you realize that you need to step up and not rely on Zoro so much because although he may act like it, he’s not actually indestructible.

Q-Quality (what is their most dangerous/toxic quality?).

(SORRY I FEEL LIKE I’M BEING VERY REPETITIVE HERE AH BUT YEAH…) He never allows himself to heal from an injury properly. He always starts training immediately despite Chopper’s best attempts to stop him.

R-Rejection (how would they react to you rejecting their confession (or the other way around)).

If you were to reject his confession, he’d probably try to justify it to himself by saying “yeah actually it’s probably better this way. I don’t need anymore distractions in life.” But, he would definitely be a little down in the dumps about it. He made himself vulnerable for this and it didn’t work the way he wanted.

S-Scars (battle or self-inflicted)

Zoro has many scars. The scar over his left eye was a result of his two years of training with Mihawk, though no one knows the exact cause of it – only that it appeared during those two years. Zoro also has a scar on his chest from his very first encounter with Mihawk. He may also have scars on his ankles from the time he tried to chop of his own legs on Little Garden (I can’t recall if these are actually scars or if they healed completely).

T-Trust (have they ever broken your trust?).

This answer is short and sweet: No. Never. Not even in his wildest of dreams. Loyalty is basically Zoro’s entire character. He would never violate your trust. If he did… well Zoro, wouldn’t be Zoro anymore. (only thing he’s done that comes close is keep you from finding out what really happened to him on Thriller Bark).

U-Urge (how badly do they want to see you after you guys separated?)

Honestly, he is probably one of the few who are able to cope with missing you the longest. He still wants to see you of course – your presence is reassuring, so he definitely prefers when you are around – but he can handle not seeing you for a while by focusing on the task at hand and just remembering that this separation isn’t permanent.

V-Vicious (what do they do when they lash out on you?).

Similar to what I’ve said before, he says some really harsh things. He has always been blunt and straightforward, but when he’s lashing out at you he tends to make things a little more personal.

W-Weak (what makes them feel weak how do they try to avoid it?).

Zoro hates losing. Not because he’s competitive or anything but because losing makes him feel weak. Whenever he loses he feels so far away from his goal. To make up for this he works out. He trains and trains and trains until he can no longer move. He will keep going until he never loses another fight.

X-X-ray (what do they hate and show it most obviously?)

Obviously, he shows his hate of Sanji very frequently. The two pirates are constantly arguing and at one anothers throat.

But another thing he hates is people getting in the way of his dream. He agreed to join Luffy so long as he didn’t get in the way of his dream – and if luffy were to get in the way Zoro made him promise to commit seppuku (although whether or not I think Zoro would actually make him do that anymore is a different thing that I could go on about for a while so imma stop there…).

Y-Yearn (what is one thing that they want but can’t have?)

Zoro wants to be the world’s greatest/strongest swordsman. It’s not currently a title he can have, however, day-by-day he is getting just that much closer.

Z-Zero (what do they do/say in your dying moments?)

I don’t think a lot is said or done by Zoro in your final moments. He probably whispers a few thank you’s and I’m sorry’s. He won’t mourn properly until he’s completely alone.

Assuage: Chapter 6

Yoongi x Reader

Genre: ABO (Alpha/Beta/Omega) dynamics, angst, fluff, smut, enemies to lovers

Warnings: None to note.

After word spread around the pack that Yoongi saved Chan, he noticed just the slightest difference in how the members of the pack treated him. They had always been nice to him, but it was as if everyone was going out of their way now.

Whereas people would see him around and say hello before continuing on their way, they now stopped and attempted to make conversation with him. When people stopped into the hardware shop, they always asked Yoongi how he liked working with Kibum and if he would design something special for them. There were even elders who offered to let him eat before them if he chose to eat in the dining hall (which he immediately said no to because he wasn’t about to touch that topic again with a 10 foot pole).

Yoongi wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of it, given the fact that people in his previous pack didn’t just talk to each other for the fun of it so he wasn’t used to the pleasantries. 

“Oh look, there’s our local celebrity now,” Taehyung smiled as Yoongi walked up the front steps to the dining hall, where Taehyung and Jin were waiting on him to join them for lunch. 

“Please go to hell,” Yoongi grumbled as he rolled his eyes. 

“I have to say Yoongi-yah, I’ve never seen the pack go this crazy over someone since, well ever,” Jin laughed. “You’ve been quite the hot topic with the unmated Omegas.”

“I don’t understand why,” Yoongi shrugged, leading the way into the dining hall with Taehyung and Jin following behind him. “I just did what was right.”

“Things like that go a long way in our pack, as you can see,” Jin chuckled. Seeing that the pups and elders were already eating, the three of them moved right to the buffet line, grabbing their plates and filling them up as much as they wanted. Once they were done, they didn’t even have a chance to take a scope of the room before Hyorin’s voice was calling out for them.

“Over here!” She shouted and the three of them made their way over to her table, where you were also sitting.

“Hey,” Yoongi greeted you both, and you gave him a soft smile.

“I see our newest eligible bachelor made time to eat with us,” Hyorin joked, making Yoongi roll his eyes.

“Not you too,” he groaned. 

“Listen, the pack hasn’t buzzed like this since Jimin presented as an Omega and had every unmated Alpha losing their damn mind,” Hyorin smiled. “Please, allow me this small enjoyment of seeing the Omegas around here lose their shit.”

“I’d rather they not,” Yoongi grimaced. “Oh, by the way, your crib is almost ready.”

“Aw, yay!” Hyorin grinned while clapping her hands together. 

“That was quick,” you noted. “It’s only been two weeks.”

“Well, I’m actually the one who designed it and I liked it so much, I wanted to get started on it right away,” Yoongi explained sheepishly.

“I’m sure it’s great Yoongi-yah,” Jin spoke up, taking his first break from eating since they had sat down. 

“Nothing but the best for the firstborn pup of the Pack Alpha and Omega,” Taehyung added with a smile. 

“Absolutely,” you nodded, which made Yoongi smile to himself as he began to eat his food. While all of them began to make small talk and talk about different things, Yoongi was surprised when he felt a sudden, soft tap on his shoulder. Turning his head to the right, he saw a woman standing there with a wide smile. 

“Hello,” she greeted him. “I’m Park Ji-hyo.”

“Min Yoongi,” he replied slowly.

“I know that we haven’t met before but I’m a seamstress,” she told him. “I help make clothing for the pack as well as doing small alterations, things like that. I also make the outfits for big occasions, like baby dedications and 100 day celebrations and mating ceremonies.”

“Well, you sound like an important part of the pack,” Yoongi said, not knowing what else to really say but he figured that that response was good enough because he could smell Ji-hyo’s scent (which smelt like Jasmine) sweeten just a little bit.

“Thank you Alpha,” she grinned. “I heard about what you did for little Chan, and I just wanted to say that it was really amazing of you to do. I mean, taking on a whole snake that was already ready to attack him!”

“It really was no big deal,” Yoongi shook his head. 

“I’m sure it wasn’t,” she nodded in agreement. “Not for a big, strong, Alpha like yourself.” Yoongi could hear snickering behind him and it took everything in him not to burst out laughing as well. 

“Well, I really came over here to offer you this,” Ji-hyo began, extending her hand to show Yoongi and sitting in her palm, was an earring. 

“It’s...very pretty,” Yoongi nodded. 

“I’m not sure if you’ve gotten other offers yet, but I’d like it if you’d consider me,” Ji-hyo explained. “I noticed that you wear earrings a lot so you could take mine and I could show you around pack territory sometime.” Yoongi was honestly at a loss for words, because it sounded very much like she was asking him to date her but he still wasn’t entirely sure how the whole “dating and mating” thing worked within this particular pack. 

Before he could even answer her though, a sudden rumble hit his ears. Turning back to face the table, Yoongi’s eyes widened when he realized that you were the one making the sound and it was a warning. 

“He’s not spoken for,” Ji-hyo spit as she looked at you.

“But you know good well that he’s probably not brushed up on the pack’s customs so you thought you’d slide in while he’s still unaware, right?” You shot back and Yoongi looked back at Ji-hyo, embarrassment now clear on her face.

“You already have every Alpha in this pack salivating over you, leave one for the rest of us,” Ji-hyo snapped.

“I’m not the reason that you can’t get an Alpha and if you took two seconds to look at yourself, then you’d realize that,” you smiled sarcastically.

“Alright,” Yoongi interrupted the two of you. “I’m flattered Ji-hyo, but I’m not really looking for anything serious right now.”

“Oh. Ok, that’s more than fine,” she nodded with a smile, but Yoongi could tell that it was fake by the way that her scent had kind of soured. “Well, I’ll let you get back to your meal.” She then quickly turned around and sped walked away, and Yoongi couldn’t help but to feel a little guilty at turning her down.

“Wow Y/N-ah, possessive aren’t we?” Jin teased you and Yoongi turned to look at you again, just in time to see you roll your eyes.

“I just don’t like seeing people being taken advantage of,” you shrugged. “She knows that he’s new to the pack.”

“Which is why she pounced,” Taehyung added. 

“I still don’t understand all of this though,” Yoongi admitted. “Why is everyone all over me now?”

“If we’re putting it simply, Betas and Omegas love Alphas that are protective,” Hyorin replied. “Especially Alphas that are protective over pups.”

“And you saving a pup’s life only showcased that you’re protective over pups,” Jin said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

“But isn’t everyone protective over pups though?” Yoongi wondered.

“Look hyung, in this pack, we date to mate,” Taehyung laughed. “Of course, feelings are important too but no Omega or Beta is going to even date, let alone mate with, someone that they don’t think will be able to provide for them or be able to take care of their future family, which includes pups.”

“So you literally showed that you have what’s arguably the number one quality that people around here are looking for in a mate,” you finished. 

“What the fuck?” Yoongi uttered in disbelief. 

“Ha, we broke him guys,” Jin cackled while Yoongi was still frozen, trying to figure out what hell he had brought down upon himself.

After they all finished lunch, Yoongi said goodbye to Taehyung and Jin, watching afterwards as they walked away to go back to their jobs, Taehyung as Namjoon’s secretary and Jin in the hair salon. Yoongi continued to stand on the front steps though, enjoying the feeling of sunshine on his skin.

“I hope you don’t mind what I did in there,” a sudden voice spoke up, making Yoongi jump slightly and when he turned his head, it was only you standing there.

“Jeez, announce yourself next time,” Yoongi grumbled, making you giggle as you walked over to stand next to him. 

“Excuse me, Mr. Prime Alpha,” you chuckled. “I didn’t think I’d scare you.”

“Well, you thought wrong obviously,” he huffed. “But to answer your question, no I don’t mind. I actually kind of appreciate it.”

“No problem. Ji-hyo tends to move dirty when it comes to her trying to find a mate so I figured I’d save you from that,” you said. 

“In that case, i really appreciate it then,” he chuckled, making you smile lightly. “So, that’s how it works here then? Giving gifts?”

“Yep,” you nodded. “You give a gift as a sign of intention, which is also supposed to signify your seriousness in attempting to build a relationship with that person.”

“Hmm,” he hummed. “Does it happen to you a lot?”

“What?”

“Getting gifts,” he elaborated. “I heard what Ji-hyo said.”

“There’s a lot of attempts, but I very rarely ever take them,” you shook your head, a sly smirk coming onto your face afterwards. “Why, you jealous?”

“You wish,” Yoongi rolled his eyes. “Just curious.”

“Well, curiosity killed the wolf, you know,” you replied thoughtfully before taking off down the steps and walking away from the dining hall.

“Wait, that’s not how that works!” Yoongi called out after you and you turned around, holding your hands up and shrugging animatedly with a smile before turning around and continuing to walk away. 

Yoongi found himself laughing and smiling at your gesture, his Alpha having the strangest urge to follow you just so he could see your smile again.
