A quick Leon for the masses

I'm still getting the hang of drawing on my laptop screen vs my cintiq (it's hard). Decided to draw Adelaide to try it again. I picture after the events of FoL he's been osmosis'd into wearing punk fashion by his brujah coterie mate. The hoodie says 'American idiot' on the back.

Nailing down designs is hard and I knew the designs above most likely weren't going to be final, but it's been even harder by the appearence of this:

With the epilogue of the campaign I'm in coming up, I figured I’d try to nail down the updated looks for all of my agents. Keahi/Una (Left) and Joel/Coine (middle) are my two other PCs in the campaign aside from Arthur/Volt (Right), and they deserve updated looks just as much as he does.

Neither Kiki or Arthur get particularily drastic changes to their looks. Arthur has his partner cut his hair as it was getting long and the heaviness weighs his curls down, and Una wouldn't have changed in the slightest was it not for his girlfriend suggesting to try a little bit of her hair dye (He loves it).

Joel however, given their age and experiences, gets the gift of being able to figure themselves out, and with that comes more drastic changes to their looks. It's not how they currently look, but I like to imagine they get to grow their hair out and experiment a bit more with their fashion sense once the war has been over for longer. The pink dyed tips were suggested by @lexiusii !

More Nightshade. The outfit on the left is based on a mannequin I saw at the mall - I think she sometimes wishes she could dress that way in her day to day, but her work doesn't allow her to do that unless she wants said fit covered in blood and dirt 😔

What does Solveig do these days? 👀 How is she?

Avi, I'm so glad you asked because I'm currently SO obsessed with her rn

Solveig is… Well, she sure is. I adapted her to World of Darkness back in October of last year as a kindred on a bit of a whim (My friends are wonderful people who encourage me to do such things), and doing so has really re-ignited my love for the character.

Solveig is a kindred of clan Lasombra, who was embraced into the ranks of the Sabbat back in the early 1900s. (For those of my followers who aren’t familiar with Vampire: The Masquerade lore, the Sabbat is a sect of vampires who reject human morality and embrace their vampiric nature, thus acting more openly monstrous - I should also add that definition barely covers the sect and is a bit of a simplification.) She has over the better part of a century climbed the ranks within the sect, having reached the rank of priscus due to her expertise in blood sorcery. In life, she had an interest in botany that she never got to properly explore due to being institutionalized at an asylum during her 20s, but she’s carried this interest into unlife, trying to develop blood sorcery rituals for the Sabbat that work similarly to that of the Bahari’s (The Bahari is a different vampire cult). 

Admittedly, as it has been a while since she was human, she has a very hard time connecting with her humanity, and although she presents herself with a calm, relaxed cheerfulness to most people, she’s entirely cold-hearted, intensely ruthless, and borders on feral behavior at times.

Some other fun facts about her that I don’t talk about as often:

She struggles with using Blush of Life and can’t seem to get it working properly. This is partially due to the fact she rarely (If ever) uses it. She thinks there’s very little point in hiding her nature.

Her disciplines (Vampiric abilities) are potence, oblivion, and blood sorcery. (She doesn’t have a character sheet as she’s not meant to be used as a PC in any chronicle, so all of this is loose notes, but the idea is that she’s very powerful.)

She usually keeps a haven of sorts in an abandoned asylum wherever she’s operating from, where she conducts her research in peace. Due to the nature of abandoned places often having things left behind, it means she has plenty of medical equipment to work with.

I wanted to close this out with some cool art of her, but I don’t have anything particularly interesting on hand, so have these test drawings I made some weeks ago instead:

I realized I haven't made a rendered piece since July, and decided that was a real shame! so I decided to make one featuring Leon and Viktor ( Viktor belongs to @zeirt )

Viktor is by all accounts a very scary man. To Leon though... well, fear is most definitely the last thing on their mind when he holds them.

Maybe creator question B for Arthur?

B) What inspired you to create them?

Arthur was made with the express purpose of applying to the roleplaying group that he is currently in, known as "Despair's Demise" - It's a pseudo-apocalyptic setting that takes place in the Danganronpa universe, after an extremist terrorist group has started an all-out war on humanity. We, the PCs, are part of a group of freedom fighters trying to save the world from said terrorists.

As for his character and personality, I made Arthur to be the opposite of Leon in a way. Back in 2019 when Arthur was created, I had been RPing as Leon for an extended amount of time in a different setting, and I wanted to try doing something new. As Leon fit the archetype of a traditional scientist at the time (Composed, well-read, educated, etc.), I wanted to make a character opposite to that, but still with roots in STEM.

The idea that came out of that boiled down to "Laid-back DJ with a heart of gold". I kinda took inspiration from a lot of music I liked at the time (Especially House and Techno) and envisioned Arthur as being someone who had been burnt by the weight and expectations of being a gifted kid, and ultimately chose to abandon those ideas in favor of pursuing new talents, using the knowledge he acquired when he was an engineer to aid his new calling (In his case he pursued music). Unfortunately, with the state of the world being threatened, he had to go back to his roots to aid in resistance efforts against the new world threat. I'm honestly still really happy with this concept!

Well gamers, we did it. Jack, our BBEG was defeated, but it sure wasn't easy. A handful of agents died, several agents were knocked out, amongst which was Joel/Coine, who got downed when Jack unleashed a massive lightning attack against the group.

They survived, but the encounter has left them with a massive back scar. They've been spending time in recovery and Phi - One of their friends and overworked medic since this whole event started - Decided to pay them a visit (And have a very unprofessional cuddle for some co-regulation.)

At least it's all over now!
