Chappell Roan, a lesbian, went on a national broadcast tonight and performed a song about dating a closeted woman who refuses to acknowledge their relationship and denies the fact that she’s a lesbian. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that happening but here we are and it’s amazing.

As a lesbian woman, to have an artist go out and be so entirely herself in every way, to be so proud of her own sexuality and to perform a song like this and have it be broadcasted to millions of people…it makes me so emotional. All I have ever wanted as a queer woman is to have this sort of unabashed representation and we’re finally getting it in such an incredible way. What an era we are living in and all I can say is long may it continue and I am so proud to be a Chappell Roan fan.

time travel au where a post-pidw shen qingqiu somehow travels back in time (either through death, the magic that still remains in yqy’s sword, etc.) to when he was the head disciple of qing jing peak.

of course, being able to travel back in time doesn’t come without a heavy price and in this case, shen qingqiu ends up having to give up the ability to feel emotions as an equivalent exchange to being brought back to the past.

shen qingqiu of course thinks this is the greatest gift that he’s ever been given and quickly moves on with his life. everyone else (read: yue qingyuan, liu qingge, etc.) on the other hand, is appropriately freaked out by this new version of shen qingqiu who just doesn’t seem to care anymore about anything or anyone.

Yknow, I think part of what some people don’t get about Halsin and him being poly is they think he doesn’t love them fully, like you can only really love one person.

But that’s not the case for some people!

Halsin knows himself enough to know he doesn’t ascribe to that, and he’s open about it from the get go. Like you can’t sleep with him without him saying in one way or another that he’s open- he doesn’t say you have to be, but that you need to be comfortable with him being so.

I do wish we had the opportunity to ask him about a relationship, even if it’s not a traditional one with courting and bindings of labels and marriage and so on, but current dialogue doesn’t allow for it.

This gave me some overthinking fodder- If his heart doesn’t stir easily, why does he say he’s had many lovers right before that? I thought of the Drow scene and wondered, what’s the difference between me and them?

I finally figured it out while re-listening to his point and click lines for romance players.

It’s almost awkward in some of the recordings, like it’s tacked on so they can say that’s a “romance” line. (Admittedly he’s so naturally helpful, I don’t blame them for needing that delineation). Not to mention, they could’ve written him to just say “love” in that British way, which he does in one or two. I’m an American I’m sorry don’t @ me

After getting caught on that awkwardness, I realized the other part of why it kept catching my attention.

He’s calling you mine.

For a romance partner who seemed almost opposed to possessiveness, it blew me away to finally understand what might’ve been obvious to some people.

He’ll share his body with many and enjoy the physical pleasure of those bonds, even if they’re temporary or fleeting.

But his heart doesn’t stir lightly. His love isn’t given everywhere. His heart is an open ocean that can hold love for many partners, but that doesn’t mean everyone he sleeps with is his love.

But you are! You’re his. And he’ll constantly (sometimes clunkily) remind you when he buffs you, heals you, and helps you up, in or out of battle.

I remain yours, of course.

So, in PIDW, there was obviously wife plots that could bring back the dead (mushroom body being one of them), and since we know Airplane is a hack that reuses concepts over and over, there’s probably multiple wife plots that could work, so like, where’s the PIDW fics where Liu Qingge somehow comes back to life, memories of Shen Jiu trying to save him intact, and goes to hunt the asshole down so he can repay his life debt, and along the way accidentally clears Shen Jiu’s name of all his crimes and now everyone is convinced Shen Qingqiu is a saint.

10 year old Danny Fenton doesn’t have any friends and he wishes with all his heart that he did, his parents didn’t pay much attention to him paying more attention to the ghost portal they’ve almost completed. His sister was too overbearing and acted more like a mother than a friend. So one night he speaks out into the sky with his window open,

“I don’t know if anyone is listening but if you are can we be friends?”

little does he know Superman who recently got his super-hearing hears him.

“Yes I will” Superman replies to himself.

Superman listens to Danny every night as he talks about his life. A month goes by and the portal is complete but it doesn’t work. Danny goes inside after his parents aren’t home… He’s electrocuted and screams the pain’s unbearable. Superman flies straight to him hearing the screams of his friend.

When Danny comes to he’s looking straight at Superman.

“Danny!! Are you OK?”

“How do you know my name??”

This is coming from a place of someone who is simply not invested in comics or the MCU aside from being a conscious adult for its heyday. But RDJ coming back as a new character should be embarrassing for Marvel 😭 they should feel embarrassed. Because as much as I like the man it just shows how much of ??? idk I want to say oligarchy the MCU is. 95% of our media is made by the same corporations, hiring the same producers and the same directors and the same actors. Over and over and over again. And they make the same slop over and over again, cutting effects budgets and writing budgets and background casting budgets and lighting budgets and sound budgets until there’s nothing left but $$$ salaries for people who are already famous and snappy clips they can crop for vertical
