wilbur: - stalks your pinterest stalks your moms pinterest stalks your ex friends sister met someone at the club and he kissed her’s pinterest - is SO CONFIDENT he’s got everything right because all his information is form you directly - plans that shit out to a T  - “okay phil at 11:02 am you call y/n and say good morning any plans for the day then tommy at 11:34 am call y/n and ask her if she wants to join you for a vlog at [location]” “dude wil we know lets just get on with it” - chooses somewhere with ambience with music perhaps by the ocean or a river or something - meticulously listens to all of spotify for the perfect song to play in the background - hired james and ash (professionals) to film  -  public proposal wants the world to know that he is wilbur and he loves you -  isnt nervous about proposing but is scared something is gonna go wrong -  the whole build up to the proposal is a blur to him  - he wants it to be perfect - hes mentally checking everything off in his head as it happens - “okay so we arrived on time, check” “we’re standing in the right direction check” - when the time comes to propose he blanks - cause everything went right and now its showtime - says whatever is on his mind and then gets on track - “oh my god everything i alright this is amazing! but i love you dear like a lot and...” - cue cheering from tommy (and a lot of soft smiles from random people) when you say yes

Okay so, I know some people are happy that we got this litte look at he future (because I don't think the nuke end was really retconned) but like. If it was, wouldn't it make it 100 times sadder?

So um, in light of my last post I was inspired to look into other dsmp people's ages because I feel like we don’t really think about it too often and oh does it make things interesting…

Just for reference and consideration, here are some United States Legal Age Minimums:

Drive: 16-18

Adult: 18-21

Vote: 18

Drink Alcohol: 21

Political Office: 25 (Representative) 30 (Senator) 35 (President)

Military: 17-18

Also Note: On average the brain is scientifically not fully developed until age 25 - and oh wouldn't you know it 90% of the server fall under that, meaning no wonder we have a bunch of wars their prefrontal cortex isn't fully developed and wouldn't you know it that part of the brain is responsible for regulating attention, behavior, and emotion as well as the processing that Actions Have Consequences... huh whelp that makes sense.

But I specifically want to highlight that not only was Dream 21 from Jan-Aug of his Imprisonment, but Sam was also 21 till Jun, and Quackity was literally 20 while he was daily torturing Dream... 20?! They were roughly a year apart, all of them so close. Like can you imagine, treating your peer like that? Sam is like a couple months older than Dream and that's it. Quackity can't even drink legally in the United States. That's insane...

anyone else ever think abt pre revival ctntduo? cause i do. like just think abt it. cq and cwil have always had their eyes on the other, but due to political rivalries and cschlatt, they never got to act upon their feelings. but then cq joins pogtopia and ya, they’re both a little bit fucked up, but they find solace in eachother. quackity sees it as love, maybe it’s cause he just got out of a shitty and abuse relationship, but he truly loves wil. Wilbur sees it as casual, right? he’s not planning on living past november 16th, so no use in falling in love now, right? wilbur begins to trust q, he trusts him enough to show him his plans. q is mortified, he tries his best to stop him. after that, q is more hesitant towards wil. they stop spending the nights together, and q starts avoiding him all together. it’s fine, ofc, it was casual, just like wil had thought. the nights are so much colder. when november 16th comes around, q is scared, mainly for wil. he doesn’t want to lose him, even though he already did. but, it doesn’t matter, wilbur dies.

quackity grieves, but only in the late hours of the night. no one knew about him and wil, and no one ever will. it was casual, no matter how much q didn’t want to believe that. q doesn’t let himself grieve forever, he picks himself up, he works with tubbo and tommy to rebuild what wilbur had destroyed. he tries to forget about the man he loved, but there’s always that lingering feeling. he starts seeing karl and sapnap, they’re good to him, they love him. he loves them as well, of course, why wouldn’t he? there’s no lingering smells of cigarettes, no grimy trench-coats, no matted curly hair. but there’s also no adrenaline to it, no stolen glances and secret meetings in the dark corners of the ravine. but he ignores it, and he stays with them, because they’re good to him, and he needs to learn that that kind of love is good for him.

then he shows up. at first, he thought it was his mind playing tricks on him, but no, he was face to face with wilbur’s ghost. quackity doesn’t know what to feel, so he doesn’t. he tries to ignore the ghost, but he’s a persistent one. quackity quickly learns that ghostbur’s memory isn’t the best. he learns that ghostbur remembers nothing of their time together. quackity pretends like it wasn’t a knife to the gut. of course he wouldn’t remember, just meant nothing, it was casual. it shouldn’t bother him anyways, he wasn’t in love with wilbur! and even if he was, it shouldn’t matter, he has karl and sapnap after all.

then everything falls apart. tommy burnt down george’s house, dream put up walls, tommy was exiled. quackity pushes everything personal aside, his country is what’s most important to him. he plans the hog hunt, he doesn’t think about wilbur for even a second, entirely focused on killing technoblade.

he fails, he loses his first life, he learns that tommy’s dead, and now he wants to kill dream. his injuries heal within weeks, but he refuses to take off the bandages, terrified of what lies underneath. he ignores ghostbur entirely, he doesn’t want the ghost to see him like this. he doesn’t want wilbur to see what’s become of him.

tommy is alive, tommy leaves his partnership with technoblade, l’manburg is destroyed, and ghostbur wants to be revived. quackity is mortified by the idea, he doesn’t want wilbur back, right? why would he, the man clearly doesn’t give two shits about him. ghostbur is nice, ghostbur is kind, he’s the better version of wilbur. quackity should’ve fallen in love with this version of wilbur instead. but why is he thinking like that? he has his fiancés, he’s happy in his romantic life.

dream is in prison, quackity creates las nevadas as a place for him, karl, and sapnap to live, they create a nation without him. He doesn’t care, it was never that serious anyways. quackity ignores ghostbur entirely, he’s too busy to think about the dead man, especially when there’s another one on his mind.

tommy dies, tommy is revived, schlatt wants to be revived. once upon a time, he was in love with schlatt, he was head over heals, one could say. once your in love, you never truly fall out of it, so quackity agrees to help schlatt. ghostbur begins to forget about quackity, and q is alright with that. what he doesn’t know can’t hurt him. it was never ghostbur that was on his mind anyways. at night time, quackity dreams of a ravine.

quackity begins visiting dream. he needs that book, he needs to make the man pay for what he’s done, he needs to avenge tommy. so many reasons for torturing the masked man, so why doesn’t it feel justifiable. he knows deep down he stopped being the good guy a long time ago, he just doesn’t remember when he became the bad guy

quackity leaves a note for his dead…rival? lover? fling? he doesn’t know what to call him, so he settles with dearest friend. he lets him know he was right. and then quackity lets him go. he moves on, he’s ready to let the smoke clear from his memory.

quackity had told tommy he was always welcome in las nevadas, so he was expecting his arrival sooner or later. quackity had wanted tommy to join las nevadas for a while, not just because he would be a viable asset but also because, well sue him, he actually cares for the kid.

he goes over to greet him, he wants to show him around, considering it would be his first time in the golden city.

he just hadn’t expected to see a fully saturated wilbur soot standing next to him, dawning a matching white streak in his hair

some c!dream fics don't take into account his flaws and make him like a little bit out of characther bc while he was traumatized by the prison and it affected his way of thought in much aspects he was still able to bit your hand if you looked him bad and got more focused on his revenge and after his plan. He's a more morally grey characther and sometimes people who try too hard not fell into the c!inniter caricature ended up making him unable to literally even hold a sword when that isn't true either

to be fair, c!dream was deeply affected by the prison and absolutely got nerfed like hell fighting wise. the difference between his fight with clingy before and after the prison is insane--not to mention how scrapped lore had him so damn triggered by the sight of the cell replica that c!quackity and c!sam could get him down pretty much without a fight. las nevadas five has him running away from the fight at the first main sign of danger (and then successfully being followed by c!tommy without noticing) and the scene with c!sapnap and c!george with aimsey had him barely fighting back at all, cowering behind his shield against a wall, and running away and using arrows of harming to get himself distance. like, sure, he can definitely still fight, but he was absolutely played as losing a lot of his fighting ability (c!dream's fighting style is nothing like cc!dream's--it was absolutely a deliberate character choice to have him act like this)

all that being said, i get what u mean--ooc c!dream is everywhere in every flavor. i definitely like c!dream written with a little bit of bite, especially when he's on the back foot, as you said. c!dream's declarations of revenge (as is especially evident in LN5 and daedalus, boy what the fuck is torturing a country supposed to mean IT'S A COUNTRY) are also very evidently ... often defensive in nature? c!dream bites and shows his teeth as a back off back off dont fucking touch me don't try to fuck with me gesture because he's scared moreso than angry, tbh, and i think playing with aggression due to fear is something fun to do with c!dream in fic in general bc of the ways that aggression can be perceived and then responded to

a lot of what i like about post-prison c!dream is that ... despite an alleged focus on revenge (which took him months. and fucked him over, with scrapped lore, and was badly executed both times with quackity and put him in a lot of danger and involved a hell of a lot more trying to get through to sam than actual revenge in daedalus) and The Plan (which involved ... killing people? and then he repeatedly. does not kill people?) is that he does feel quite directionless. he's still in the prison, still caught in that limbo. he's doing research (i guess) and he's letting the prison (his home base) rot around him. he's staying there and barely leaving for weeks at a time. all while he's focused on the plan, guys, #trust, he's fine, he's still moving forward moving on ... just. Just.

I really think that CCs don’t need to give their opinions on Dream’s twitter thread. It was very much his last ditch effort at reaching someone he cares deeply about. He’s tried reaching out directly. He’s tried having a third party mediate. He’s given Quackity multiple public opportunities on twitter as well. Going public with everything is what it’s escalated to because Dream is not safe. George and Sapnap are not safe. Dream’s family is not safe. (The fact that he was even allowed to share what is a legal matter of violent crimes suggests it was on the recommendation from the authorities possibly the FBI that he go public.) This isn’t just like twitter memes for people to stream about and see who’s in the right. Cause for some reason this has gone way beyond a Minecraft server.

tbh I have never seen any cdream apologists call csapnap evil, rather I often see them calling him a stubborn dumbass🤷🏻

I've seen all of the above and not only on dreblr. However, even the take that Sapnap is stubborn or stupid in some way for wanting Dream locked up, or for any other reason is simply incorrect.

A lot of you fail to understand that Sapnap has every reason to dislike Dream and want him out of the way. Dream has personally hurt Sapnap. And people comparing his takes on Dream's imprisonment to those who have NEVER been effected by or even seen the effects of Dream's behavior is unfair.

And of course, as I'm saying this, know I'm not talking about every dream apologist. There are definitely outliers and exceptions to every rule. If this doesn't apply to you or the things you've personally seen that's fine! But there are people who think this way and this post is mostly directed towards them.

Now, from what I've seen, a lot of people don't understand Sapnap's relationship with Dream towards the end of the smp, so let me explain. Sapnap and Dream have never seen eye to eye on really... anything. George has always been a follower, but Sapnap does his own thing. There are times where Sapnap is on Dream's side just out of obligation the L'manberg war is a good example because Sapnap had no issues with L'manberg's creation until Dream did. There's also doomsday, since Sapnap felt wrong going against Dream and his allyship had to be bought by Tommy using Mars. Sapnap goes against Dream directly during the disc war because he technically caused it and therefore felt obligated to help Tommy, since they're also friends.

A lot of people don't know that Tommy and Sapnap have been pretty close friends since the beginning. Out of the Dream Team, Sapnap is actually the only one to not have a hatred for Tommy or his behavior. There was a time or two when he parroted George or Dream's opinions but it's obvious from the beginning that Sapnap feels differently than them about Tommy, L'manberg, and nations in general.

Saying all that to make the point that: Sapnap's disagreement with and fallout with Dream didn't come out of nowhere. Him going to Tommy to ask if he thought Dream actually cared about him wasn't random. He didn't just go up to an enemy and ask their opinion, Tommy is a friend. A friend who also knows Dream well. So when Tommy tells Sapnap that Dream doesn't care about him after the whole Spirit speech, he's obligated to believe him.

And now you're probably saying "Well Sapnap should've just talked to Dream about it." And he does. During the dethronement fallout. During this, Sapnap brings it up in front of Dream and George and Dream is simply dismissive. And he uses all his effort to convince George that he cares all while demonizing Sapnap and claiming he's trying to "split them apart" just for asking George for her feelings and opinions. Sapnap obviously doesn't like the way George or himself is being treated in that moment and it shows. As they're going back to El Rapids, Sapnap even says that he feels left behind by Dream. He feels that Dream is taking power and cutting both him and George out of it. And he absolutely is. When George is crowned king, Dream explicitly says that if anything were to happen to George then Sapnap is next in line for the throne. Yet Sapnap doesn't get the throne.

And now you may claim that "Dream wouldn't make Sapnap king because he doesn't want Sapnap to be targeted like George was." or "Sapnap has a nation, he can't get the kingship" and to that I say, Sapnap can protect himself, unlike George and Dream knows that. George was also king and sitting VP of Manberg at the same time, so Sapnap being part of El Rapids wouldn't have meant he couldn't be crowned. Sapnap wasn't crowned because Dream didn't want him to be. That's all.

Now moving past the dethronement, we can also talk about how Dream killed Quackity, hunted down and tried to kill George, and threatened to kill all of El Rapids (including Sapnap) into the mix. Then you can factor in how after all that, Sapnap still found it weird to go against Dream during doomsday (even despite his fiancés being on L'manbergs side) or lets not speak on the fact dream gave mars to tommy during the pet war.

Then you get to the stage conflict, and really this was the nail in the coffin. Had this only been a rescue mission for clingyduo maybe, just maybe, Sapnap wouldn't have been ok with keeping Dream in the prison. But that isn't the case. Because Dream had to (in Sapnap's eyes, he doesn't know things were staged) once again put power above Sapnap and most importantly George. People like to pretend that they were unaffected, especially saying that Dream had nothing of George's, but that isn't true. In that possession vault, Dream had Beckerson and a place for Mars.

You guys don't seem to understand how devastating this is for Sapnap. Those fish were a symbol of not only the earliest days of the smp, but also symbols of Dream Team's friendship. Beckerson was Dream and George's fish. Beckerson was George's fish. And if there's one thing Sapnap cares about protecting it's George. It's the reason Sapnap doesn't tell George about the things Dream does, and why he seemingly doesn't tell George that the prison allows visitors after Dream specifically requests to see her. Sapnap cares about George above anything and everything on that server. And he was fooled to believe that Dream, his best friend Dream, would've used their fish to try and control her. That's a problem. That's a problem that needs to be detained.

And yes Sapnap believes things aren't going well in the prison for Dream. He thinks he's getting worse, but the only proof of that he's seen is that he wouldn't talk. Dream going mute is in no means worse than Dream getting out and hurting everyone and everything Sapnap cares about. Dream is Sapnap's friend but he does not hold that friendship above everything else he has. Especially since, in Sapnap's eyes, that friendship has been onesided for a long long time.

And this doesn't even mention that after all this, Sapnap still hears Dream out after his escape. He could've easily killed Dream in Snowchester, but instead he lets him talk. He stalls. He tries to agitate Dream so that he makes the first move. Because Sapnap doesn't have the heart to actually lay him down. And while Sapnap immediately tries to kill Dream with the deathbook, Dream dying somewhere random where Sapnap doesn't have to see is much much easier than killing him himself. Something he feels obligated to do just for aiding Dream in getting as bad as he was. After he learns he can't kill Dream he starts daydreaming about how much of a power duo they'd be as a team. Because deep down he still sees them as a team.

And they would be if they communicated better. They would be if Dream saw them as equals. They would be if Dream hadn't put those damn fish in his vault. The burden of fixing what remains of their friendship is on Dream because at the end of the day, Sapnap's only fault was reacting to the things Dream did.

So when I see Dream apologists calling Sapnap stubborn, or stupid, or a bad friend, or a sociopath. I consider that a horrid take, because all Sapnap has done ever is care for his friends. And I won't see Sapnap made out to be the bad guy in Dreamnap's relationship because no matter how you bend it, he isn't. And the fact that a good few of you villainize him and George when it comes to Dream team's relationship ending shows that you ignore the povs of other characters just as much as Tommy apologists ignore the pov of Dream. If you want to blame everyone involved, then do that, but make sure the weight is on Dream. And that's just how I feel about this subject.

shape language + dsmp cast !

Over the past year or so I’ve been slowly (very slowly lmfao) teaching myself to draw, and part of that process has been learning how shapes dictate meaning and emotion, so just for funsies I decided to do a full analysis of the shapes I usually use when drawing the cast of DSMP. Full analysis under the cut~

From left to right, top to bottom:

c!Dream — Typically, triangles communicate action, dynamism, or danger, all of which are pretty fitting for this guy, so the overall impression of his shape is usually triangular. His design also tends to use a lot of rectangles, which (because they contain elongated vertical lines) communicate a solidity that is less stable than, say, a square.

c!George — My design for him is very circular. Circles are made up of curves, so they tend to communicate softness and safety, as well as inaction or passivity. Since he can sometimes be quite a passive character in comparison to others, I usually go with a circle-based design for him.

c!Sapnap — I see Sapnap as a very complex character with a lot of different sides, at times extremely impulsive and at other times quite stable. Because of this, the shape I like to use for him is the rhombus, a type of parallelogram. Think of it like a square that’s leaning to one side: it still communicates the solidity and dependability of a square, but the diagonal lines that make up the shape mitigate that impression by suggesting motion/tension.

c!Punz — The base shape for Punz is usually either a short rectangle or a square, communicating reliability, while the face shape tapers into a point to suggest dynamism. He’s tricksy but dependable.

c!Techno — This guy’s always made up of circles and squares! Sturdy, reliable, approachable, strong, friendly. An all-around (haha get it) great guy.

c!Philza — I see Phil as one of those characters who, despite being very affable, has got a lot going on under the surface, so I didn’t want to stick to simple shapes for him. The shape I usually go with is an oval, because it carries the safety and amiability that roundness lends, as well as the slight instability implied by the long vertical lines in an oval.

c!Sam — This guy’s mostly squares! Strong, dependable, solid, secure…but also deeply inflexible.

c!Quackity — Nearly every shape in this design is some kind of triangle because that’s how I see Q: unpredictable, sharp, active. Triangles effortlessly convey the volatility associated with his character arc.

c!Wilbur — Okay, this is a tough one. Wilbur is a super manic character. This bad boy can fit so many shapes in him! His design usually features a pointed nose (triangular), a square jaw (strength/conviction), and either a rectangular or oval-shaped head. Wilbur can do (and be) a lot of things at once, so I really wanted his shapes to get that point across.

c!Tommy — Since he and Tubbo are both some of the younger server members, I like to include circles in their designs since roundness conveys youth. Tommy’s face shape usually tapers into a more pointed chin because he’s so active and volatile, he needs some pointy bits to show it!

c!Ranboo — The predominant shape here is a LONG rectangle. When it comes to rectangles, the wider the base, the more stable the shape ends up looking. But if the rectangle is much taller than its width, it conveys instability or even anxiety. I want Ranboo to look like he could topple over at any moment.

c!Tubbo — Just like Tommy, Tubbo’s primary shape is circular to communicate youth. But since Tubbo is a somewhat less active character than Tommy (a statement that’s true of most characters TBH) his circles are wider, sort of more squashed, to represent a state of semi-stability.

I could go on about this for way longer but I’m gonna cap this post here. There are a ton of characters I haven’t covered obviously, so LMK if there’s anyone else in particular whose shapes you’d like to see me break down.

Quackity Quandary: How to Get Noticed by an Oblivious Crush

"Quackity, Jesus, man, is he that bad?" Badboyhalo asked as he sat across from him, a cup of coffee in his hand.

See, Quackity had this problem, well, his crush had this problem at just completely being oblivious to his advances, every advance shut down because he couldn't pick up on them.

"Yes, Bad, it is that bad!" Quackity groan, his face in his hands.

"He can't be that oblivious, I'm sure he has to pick up on it soon," Bad thought, giving Quackity a reassuring smile as he sipped his drink. "Besides, you're meeting up with him, right? For a date?" Quackity groaned at the reminder.

"Yeah, Bad, that's the problem, Y/n, he-"

"Y/N thinks that Quackity just wants to hang out with him and doesn't see it as a date." Skeppy laughed from next to Bad, causing Quackity to roll his eyes with a loud groan.

"Oh! Well, I, I guess that's not good, but I'm sure it'll turn out fine!" Bad stumbled over his words with a small nervous smile.

"Yeah, but Quackity is too pussy to do anything about it," Sapnap said, walking in from the kitchen.

"Hey! Language-"

"Besides, Y/N thinks that you're just teasing him, you know, playfully flirting with him." Sapnap pointed down, sitting down next to Quackity, ignoring Bad's light scolding.

"But how can I get that to stop!?"

"You don't, you just learn to deal with it and move on." Skeppy shrugs, stealing a glance at Sapnap. "Or, you could-"

"Just tell him." Sapnap finished Skeppy's thought before both burst out laughing.

"Hey! Come on guys! Don't be so rude!" Bad scolds with a small scoff, reaching to hold Quackity's hand. "Ignore them, I'm sure he can't be as bad as you say."

"Oh, he is! Remember that one time!?" Skeppy playfully teased with his laughter. "It was so funny, Quackity and Y/N were just "hanging out" and then Quackity-"

"Hugged him and Y/N just said, "Stop hugging me, I'm trying to pick out George's birthday present"?!" Sapnap finished, both continuing to laugh painfully as Quackity's face turned red.

"You said you wouldn't bring that up! And you told Skeppy?!" Quackity groaned, Bad also trying to hold back his laughter and be a good friend.

"I'm sure that was just a one-time thing, I'm sure it was just really close to George's birthday and-"

"Bad, just stop, please." Quackity cut him off with a deep sigh, fixing his beanie subconsciously. "It wasn't-"

"2 months, actually," Skeppy spoke up through laughter, causing Bad to stifle his laugh more harshly this time.

"Oh, well, that, uh, that's-" Bad let out a small huff of a laugh, covering his mouth before continuing to laugh. "I-I'm so, so sorry, that's just-" Bad cut himself off as he continued to stifle his laughter.

"Bad! Come on! Help me, man!" Quackity groaned. "God! Why does he have to be so, so him!?" Quackity stood up from the couch, walking out of the house as his friends still laughed, although it had died down a little. "Forgot this, I'm leaving."

"Wait, Quackity! Come back! We still need to talk about the time you fumbled to bag so hard!" Sapnap laughed before he was cut off by Quackity slamming the front door shut.

He was sure if it wasn't him in this situation, he would laugh too, but it was him so he couldn't help but feel a bit of playful betrayal, it was the only way he could describe it. So he sighed, picking up his pride as he walked home, his ride was Sapnap but there wasn't any way he was riding home with him now. But God he wishes he did.

"Quackity?" A voice said with a confused brow raised. He stopped and looked up from his pity party to catch the eyes of you with his.

"Y/N?" He asked, almost frozen in shock before shaking himself out of it. "What, what are you doing? Walking, I mean?"

"Well, Bad texted me, said to come over to his because you needed to tell me something? Did something happen in between that time?"

"Bad texted you!?" He asked with a small but quite sharp breath. "When!?" He asked.

"Um, not long ago, like 20 minutes?" You said with a small shrug, walking closer to Quackity. "I'm guessing it didn't work out then?" Quackity sighed and shook his head.

"No, no, I guess, you, you are right." He said, cursing internally as he finished his words. "I should get going, I need to get home."

"Well let me walk you, I really only came over because of you so I might as well walk you home." And there was your stupid way of talking about him like you loved him.

"No, no, it's fine, I'm sure Bad is still waiting for you."

"He can wait, I want to make sure you make it home safe." You had a way with words that Quackity couldn't describe and it physically hurt him trying too.

"No, Y/N, it's fine, I got this," Quackity said, shaking his head and walking around you, a bright blush filling his cheeks as he continued to walk away.

In all honestly, he wasn't expecting much or anything at all, but it just had to be you, it had to be you he ran into, it always lead back to you, and like everything else, you had to have the last words.

"Alright, I love you, text me when you make it home safe."

Quackity paused at Y/N's words, snapping his head around to see that you were already walking away like those words did not just leave your mouth. Was it always that easy? What the fuck!?

He didn't even think twice, after a few minutes you gave him the big news, he was already calling his and dream mom, he then proceeded to just highly feel emotional with all the greetings from all and cleaned his half-formed tears.

He went in shock for a few minutes, sitting there on the couch, he was so confident when you both rushed to get a pregnancy test and while you were doing it that you just laugh, he was serious there.

-You okay?- you sit beside him and just smile, and he nods.

-I have to tell my mom right now.- He smiles, leaving a kiss on your cheek. After his mom, none of you could stop calling friends to tell them.

Boy was just super nervous, he wanted to already have the baby in his hands to show him off so bad, he spent the whole call with friends telling all the things he would do with the baby, from Disney to Mrs beast videos.

He is so secretive, but this, this is the most important thing, this would completely change his life and yours for good and for the rest of their lives, AND you can't just go "yeah, my baby was born last month dude" dsakfhak he just would blurt out with Karl and the dream team, and then all would just start to get the news.

Punz

This man would just take one of those mirror pictures with the ultrasound and a hand on your belly, the post blow out. Everyone screaming and crying and just absolutely loving the idea of Punz having a baby. (He would also say on stream that when both of you decided to show him in the public eye, he would dress him as a baby bee)

Foolish

Listen here, he would just show up one day on the stream with a baby and said "it's mine, we made him" and just laugh because no one would have known that. Tina would just freak out, she was the more excited, and the boys would all start to spoil the baby as a welcome to this world hahaha.

Wilbur

This is the thing, you told all your family but, you wanted to just keep it to yourself for a few more months before the belly shows up and have to tell chat what is going on, but then, he would do a wine stream with big Q and totally forget about the previous talk and not tell chat about it. He wouldn't even try.

-And now that I'm becoming a dad, big q, things are gonna change a lot, right?- he was already tipsy and forgot he was streaming.

-Am, i guess.- he didn't know what to say because chat is now freaking out, and he knew you wanted to wait.

-Oh no, t/n is gonna kill me.- he realizes and starts to freak out.

What would it be like in the finale if c!sap or c!quackity confronted c!dream instead of c!tommy. Do you think we would have seen that “you just want friends” moment. I feel like c!sapnap possibly would understand reach that moment with c!Dream maybe better than c!tommy did but as for c!quackity I see no chance of that happening

The quick answer is no. I talked about it I think somewhere before, but it had to be Tommy. Tommy was the only one who could have brought that vulnerability out of Dream. And Tommy had to die and experience limbo from Dream’s pov for that all to happen. In other words, it was the ideal situation.

But let’s say it was Sapnap or Quackity. Let’s say they sent Q to stall Dream and let’s say Dream and Punz didn’t just kill him off the bat, but they allowed him to talk and then killed him and brought him back. What would have been Quackity’s reaction to Dream’s pov limbo?… honestly, I’m not entirely sure. I wouldn’t say I’m an expert on Quackity but here are my thoughts…

Well I don’t think he would be the selfless character to put himself in that situation in the first place, and Tommy also had an upper hand in the fact that his method of stalling was asking Dream why and for his pov. I imagine Quackity wouldn’t ask that though so wouldn’t experience the same limbo. So I imagine, Quackity’s likely method of stalling would be to accuse Dream and justify his own actions, maybe under the guise for Dream’s forgiveness, knowing that if he pissed off Dream then he’d just died and it wouldn’t really be a very good stalling tactic, would it? In other words, it likely wouldn’t be far off from his encounter in the Las Nevadas Finale or perhaps it would be similar to how he interacts with Wilbur.

Now let’s say regardless, Quackity experienced Dream’s pov limbo, then I don’t know, he’d probably use it in his manipulation and stalling tactics, maybe use it to mock Dream or turn Punz against Dream. Perhaps he uses the “you just want friends” to make fun of him - *read in condescending voice* “you say you want all this power and knowledge but really poor little Dream, just want friends” *theatric pout* … Whatever his reaction is it wouldn’t be to reach the understanding Dream and Tommy did, not just because Quackity is well… Quackity, but also because only Tommy could fix what he broke. Only Tommy had the power to change Dream, because it was him that ruined him in the first place, Q and Sam only got the leftovers of what Tommy had down by turning everyone against Dream, triggering that fundemental fear of being alone. It was Tommy and Wilbur that made Dream wonder how the freak did they show up and ruin everything, spurring his yearn for answers. Sapnap and Awesamdude were already in the server and Quackity is just the later infection taking over the wound Tommy left behind…

Having said that, it would have been interesting to see what Sapnap’s reaction would have been. I think like Quackity he wouldn’t be asking the questions of why like Tommy was to stall, because part of his problem is his assumption that he knows. His tactic probably would have been pulling Dream into a long fight and perhaps playing at Dream’s ego. Accusation and nostialga used as weapons - “remember me and you and George built the community house, and then you blew it up, Dream!”- If Sapnap experienced the same limbo, I wonder if it would have done anything more than remind Sapnap what he lost. Unlike Tommy, Sapnap did see Dream as good in the beginning so seeing his perspective at the beginning would not shatter any huge misconception for him. It probably would have just left him feeling angry. making the situation actually worse.

In other words, in order for Sapnap and Dream to reach a similar point as discduo, Sapnap needed a pov of more recent Dream to highlight his poor misconceptions, whether that’s of seeing Punz and Dream setting up the staged vault room, Dream learning about how everyone is trying to kill him, Dream being tortured in prison, or something especially something that highlighted an emotional part of Dream. But as for Q, though an argument could be made against it, I don’t think he wanted to make amends with Dream and unlike Sapnap and Tommy, I don’t think he was as oblivious to his actions of how they hurt people. I feel like he already saw Dream as a person and didn’t give a damn anyways. He did what he had to do, but he isn’t naive to how Dream feels. So there was no limbo that could change that. Perhaps more circumstances and character’s involvement could do something to change Q, but not just between him and Dream. (I think the situation with Purpled and Q would have been more the opportunity to reach that understanding like that of disc duo, but we already know how that turned out.)

So to summarize - Sapnap already knew Dream’s pov in the beginning so seeing it would not have radically changed anything. What he would need is an experience of something more recent Dream that shows Dream has emotions (maybe even specifically feelings for missing Sapnap) and isn’t some just crazy control freak. Then it would more so be feasible for a similar unfolding as Dream and Tommy had to happen. Quackity on the other hand, I don’t get the feeling had a misconception about Dream that needed to be changed so there was no Limbo that would matter. Maybe that’s wrong of me to say and judge Quackity so harshly, but I honestly don’t get the impression he sees Dream as less than human in a way that resulted in what we got in the disc duo finale…

Hopefully that answers your question or at least lays out my 2 cents. I think @elmhat has also talked similarly about alternative finale options so I recommend looking at what they had to say if you haven’t already.

On writing sylvnap and (heterosexual) amatonormativity:

While I think the ultimate message is write what you want, normalize close m/f friendships regardless of sexuality, some of what you're feeling is probably a reaction to the people themselves

Sapnap doesn't generally get very physically affectionate with his girl friends and Sylvee doesn't with her boy friends. Sylvee has been all over Gia and Tina and Hannah, but not Dream or George despite also being friends with them. Sapnap wasn't that physical with Hannah or Gia but very physical with Foolish or even Quackity (choosing non DTeam people because they're different obviously).

Since they're usually very physically affectionate with friends of the same gender, but not other genders, that affection comes off as Different. The Difference is what people fill in the blanks with Romantic Love because of Amatonormativity.

Personally I think you were on the right track with Sylvee wanting to cuddle up to him because he's warm as a hybrid! The key to it not reading as immediately being romantic is it's either for a) Practical reasons or b) Big Important Story Moments.

This means that if Sylvee and Sapnap are physically affectionate with each other, especially where others can see them, it's a Plot Point (this is obviously based on what us as viewers see, they could be cuddling for whatever reason off camera all the time). The same would go for them interacting that way with other friends of different genders. If you're writing them as being physically affectionate with everyone that's obviously a completely valid character choice for a fic, but that might be worth addressing to readers as a departure from the characters we're used to!

This is obviously just my opinion etc but I hope another set of eyes is helpful (<- is not aro but is around a lot of aros)

Quackity x streamer!reader (any pronouns)

You were at a small outdoor party one of your other streamer friends had invited you to. You hadn’t been a streamer for very long, so you weren’t as close with the other people at the party besides Karl, who had invited you. You saw Sapnap, George, and Tina, who you had met at the streamer events earlier in the day, but they were in the middle of their own conversation and you didn’t feel like you were close enough to them yet to go and join in. When you went over to grab a drink and head to an unoccupied seat, you heard a familiar voice behind you.

“Hey, y/n. I didn’t know you were gonna be at this party.”

You turned around to see Alex standing behind you with a grin. You were more than glad to see that he was here and you suddenly felt a wave of comfort come over you. He was someone who always made you feel welcome as you started out in the streaming community, especially since he’s the entire reason you were doing this. Alex was the person who encouraged you to start your channel on twitch in the first place.

“Y/n, I think you’ll be really good at it and you’ll be glad you started your own streaming channel.”

“I don’t know. I just don’t think I’m entertaining enough for people to want to actually watch me.”

“I’d watch you. You’re entertaining to me. You should just try it, really. Trust me.”

You had taken his advice to start streaming and hadn’t regretted it one bit. Your channel was growing, you actually had fans, and you were even being invited to streamer events like the one you had attended today. All of this was because of the support Alex had been giving you from the start and helping you along the way. He had become a place of comfort and warmth for you.

You smiled back at Alex. “Yeah, Karl actually invited me kinda last minute. I thought maybe it could be fun,” you said as you shrugged your shoulders.

“Well, are you? Having fun?,” he questioned.

“I am now that you’re here,” you said as you threw a wink his way.

He laughed and placed a hand on your shoulder. “Okay, Mr. Rizzington,” he said as he rolled his eyes, “Let’s go sit down somewhere.”

You followed him as he led you over to a bench that faced away from the party and out towards the ocean. The entire event had been an amazing time and you had enjoyed it all, but the night view of the ocean was 10 out of 10 compared to the rest. You both sat down and while the bench was small, you wished it was smaller so you had an excuse to sit closer to Alex.

“Sorry, I feel like I haven’t really been able to catch up with you much. I’ve just been so busy with the event all day and haven’t had a chance to check up on how you’ve been doing with everything going on.” He rubbed his hands on his lap as he talked.

“No, Alex, it’s okay,” you turned your body towards him on the bench as you spoke, “you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll be fine, just do whatever you need to do and enjoy your time with all your friends here.”

“I’m not worried. I just care about you and want to spend time with you, dummy,” he said lightly shoving your shoulder with his.

Even his playful touch made your skin feel electric and you couldn’t help but feel a shiver as the sparks ran through you.

Your shiver caught his attention. “Oh, are you cold? It is a little chilly now that the sun has gone down. We can head inside if you want?”

Before you could answer, Alex was already standing to his feet and motioning for you to stand with him. You stood up from your spot and walked with him toward the hotel everyone was staying at for the event. Now that it was dark outside, the path to the hotel was lit by tiny lights along the side of the walkway. The two of you matched each other’s pace as you slowly made your way back to the hotel and you told him about the people you had met a the streaming event that day. You finished talking as the two of you approached the entrance of the hotel and you looked up at Alex to see that he was just staring and grinning at you at you spoke.

You laughed nervously under his stare. “Why are you just staring at me like that?” You tried to sound annoyed to distract him from the blush that you knew was creeping up on your face.

“Mmm I don’t know,” he shrugged his shoulders, “You seem happy. I just like seeing you happy.” As he finished his sentence, the two of you had stepped into the elevator. “What floor are you?”

“I’m on 6th.” You watched as he pushed the button to your floor and put his hand back in his pocket. “Oh, are you on the same floor as me?”

“Nope. I was gonna come hang out with you in your room if that’s fine? Damn, trying to get rid of me already,” he joked.

You taunted back at him, “I guess it’s fine with me. You just can’t get enough of me, yeah, yeah.”

“Something like that.”

The door to the elevator opened and the two of you stepped off. You walked him to your hotel room and tapped your card to enter the room. You turned to Alex as the door shut behind both of you.

“So, do you want to watch a movie or something?” You hoped he said yes because you couldn’t handle being alone in this room with him without something to distract you from the butterflies that bang around in your stomach whenever he’s around.

“Sounds good to me,” he said as he flopped onto your bed and grabbed the remote. He patted the spot next to him on the bed. “C’mon and sit. It’s your bed.”

You really didn’t want to sit next to him because you might evaporate into thin air the second you do, but reluctantly, you kicked off your shoes and made yourself comfy on the bed. He flipped through the channels and found a movie that had already started not too long ago, so you two hadn’t missed much of it. The movie played on and you felt like you had done well to hide your nerves so far. Well, until you felt his eyes on you. You tried to pretend you didn’t notice him stealing glances at you here and there. Maybe he could tell he made you nervous. Maybe there was something stuck in your hair. Maybe-

Your thoughts were cut off by his whisper. “Can I kiss you?”

You almost jumped out of your skin at his question and you couldn’t even think of how to respond. “I- what did you say?” You couldn’t even look at him when you spoke.

“Sorry, I don’t know why I asked like that. It’s just all I can think about right now honestly. Wait that sounds bad. Like I’m not just thinking about kissing you, but like, I’m thinking about you, all the time, including now, and right now, that includes kissing you,” he blurted out.

He thinks about you? All the time? You finally looked back to him and his eyes were locked on yours. He thinks about kissing you? You had to admit you had thought about the same a fair share of times. You had imaged what it would feel like when his lips touched yours. Your gaze traveled from his eyes to his lips and back up.

He shifted closer and whispered again, “Can I?”

You opened your mouth to respond but no noise came out, so you just nodded your head. Your heart was thumping out of your chest, but you wanted this so bad.

He slowly leaned in, cupping your face. His hands felt so warm and comforting on your cheeks, his thumb lightly rubbing your skin. His lips landed on yours and it felt like the world around you went silent. He pulled his face back from yours slightly and ran a thumb over your lips. You reached your hands up and threaded your fingers into his hair pulling him back in for another kiss. The kiss that followed was more needy than the first. You tilted your head to deepen the kiss and felt his tongue running across your lower lip. His tongue entered your mouth and you felt his hands release from your face and fall to your sides, lightly squeezing you as they reached your waist. You gently tugged his hair and he released a shaky breath you didn’t realize he was holding.

The two you broke apart from the kiss and Alex rested his forehead on yours. Your hands continued to play with his hair, twirling the ends with your fingers. Your lips still tingled from the contact with his. There was so much on your mind you wanted to say to him in this moment, but you felt breathless and the words wouldn’t come up. He stayed silent as well, just staring into your eyes and rubbing his thumb on your hip. You were fine staying like this for as long as you could, enjoying his warmth and his touch. Words could come later.
