Fuck it. Mob Psycho 100 mood. Lets add MHA because I'm still in disbelief/denial(?) of it being over in a week. And I specifically mean add Tokoyami and Hawks for this title:
"Fraud Mentors and their Ridiculously Strong Students"
Maybe a reality warping Quirk, maybe some esper/psychic in the MP100 world who knows, these idiots meet. I got 3 appointments to get to over the nect few days so we'll just spit ball some dynamics, ok? Ok. Going with...pre-Meta War and like Post S1 MP100.
Shigeo "Mob" Kageyama and Fumikage Tokoyami are the most wholesome duo/trio. Mob will look up to Tokoyami (not literally because apparently they're the same height at 5'2"), and once Dark Shadow comes out? 100% Adoration. Mob doesn't really get Tokoyami's way of speaking but they make it work. Tokoyami takes it upon himself to be a role model and Mob is dutifully listening. Until something happens, and Tokoyami has to deal with it the best way he can. Fun! Mob canonically cannot math. I headcanon that Tokoyami cannot math. They can not math together.
Hawks and Reigen. "LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE-" "TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE YOU SONUVA-" So much sass. So much bullshitting. Hawks sees right through Reigen and will throw some occultish buzzword he heard from Tokoyami just to see what bullshit Reigen says in an attempt to act like he knows wtf it is. Reigen will pull an Uno Reverse somehow and figure out Hawks isn't all that he appears. If he finds out about Hawks' Super Spy mission, he's cutting that shit out as soon as he can. Am I saying Reigen can beat the LOV through bullshit, luck, and charisma? Maybe. He'll definitely try. As much as he's a conman he's also a good man. Practically adopting psychic children like Batman. Reigen would have words with Batman. Reigen will have words with the Commission.
Reigen and Tokoyami. Good lord, is this a peek into Mob's emo phase? Did Reigen have an emo phase? He's gonna be feeding Dark Shadow any chance he gets if only to avoid getting eaten himself. Tokoyami MIGHT see through his act, depends on the circumstances. Might be a situation similar to S2 MP100. Reigen doesn't feel happy about a kid running around fighting crooks even in a super society. Kids should be kids. Reigen will pull a Mumen Rider. He may not have powers, he may not be strong, but he's the adult dammit! He'll kick a villain's ass! SELF DEFENSE RUSH!
Hawks and Mob. "Oh so he's like a less edgy more shy Tokoyami." Depending on how this crossover happens the progress to Mob's explosion will be going up steadily the more he hangs out with Hawks. Not because Hawks is actively stressing him out but because its a stressful situation and Hawks is trying his best but this kid doesn't emote and where the hell is his kid??? Soon as Mob mentions having trouble with his powers it is impromptu Quirk Counseling Time at Hawks' Agency. It doesn't really go well because its Hawks. Man probably teaches the same way Reigen does through motivational speeches when he isn't putting floaties just before shoving his poor student in the deep end of the pool.
All four of these chucklefucks together? You got a conman, an industry plant, an edgelord with a sentient shadow monster, and a psychic middle schooler. None of them can math. What could possibly go wrong?
*cue a building or two being destroyed in the inevitable 100% Explosion or even ???%*

Small (?) rant about Mob Psycho 100 and autism, because it's something I feel strongly about.
I just want to say before I say anything, this is just how I see MP100 in my personal view as an autistic person, and my experiences as an autistic person. So this is (obviously) very opinion based, something to keep in mind while reading.
I am someone with autism who, for the most part, used to feel a strong resentment towards myself being autistic. I was not diagnosed until my early high school years, so I just thought I was weird. No one really, ever, liked me in school at all, mostly because I kept to myself and aspired not to draw attention to myself. When watching MP100 a month or two ago, I could find myself really attached to the characters experiences. In my opinion, the psychic powers or telepathy is representative of a neurodiversity. This shows in how each person with ESP has powers which are different from eachother.
With Serizawa, it was the character in my first watch of MP100 that drew me in. He is a esper who found himself scared of how his powers would affect other people, especially people he loves like his Mother. Serizawa found himself staying inside and indulging in his interests all day. Even going as far as to never leave his room, because it's hinted at that he'd have breakdowns when leaving - finding his room to be his only safe place. Though he was easily manipulated into leaving his room by someone stronger than him, causing Serizawa to use an umbrella as sort of a comfort item. It's shown that he'd get extremely anxious without his umbrella during his initial 'fight' with Mob after he had it briefly knocked away from him.
Relating Serizawa's behaviors to my own experiences made me feel a lot more connected to the show in general. A lot of the time before being diagnosed, I knew a lot of people with autism, and a lot of these people were low functioning. In these people, I saw my own behaviors and, by how my friends at the time reacted to those behaviors, I'd associated them with negative things. Often times, so no one would see me exhibit these behaviors, I would keep myself in my room all day. Only leaving when absolutely necessary. Whenever someone would enter my room unannounced, and this is something I still somewhat do, I would make sure to put away anything I was doing as quickly as possible. Now going onto Serizawa's umbrella, when I first got diagnosed, I was using a similar thing when at school to help me focus. I would have to have a specific pair of fingerless gloves, or I wouldn't be able to focus. I got in trouble for this numerous times and no one ever defended me, eventually someone in my house threw them away without my knowledge. Serizawa as a character, in relation to my autism, I can see my own breakdowns and how they affect me in Serizawa's.
Mob is probably the most obvious character to discuss in relation to autism in MP100, and this is exhibited in the fandom beliefs of other autistic people as well. While describing Mob, I am going to seperate Mob from '???', because I feel that the '???' state can be used as a separate example for neurodiversity in this topic.
Shigeo as a character is presented as gullible, in this way you can see a similarity to Serizawa in vulnerability. Multiple times throughout MP100, Mob gets swindled by people; Reigen tricks him into thinking that he's a psychic (like Mob himself), the telepathy club -attempt- to convince him to join the club through multiple means, a girl tricks him into thinking that she has a crush on him (which he rejects), at one point - multiple people convince him that he's popular, a group of guys convince him that they're a girl writing a love note to him, e.t.c... I could go on and on. Due to Reigen, Mob is taught that he is to never use psychic powers against other people, a good message in itself: don't inflict violence against others. But this results in Mob bottling up all emotions (or times he could've used his psychic powers against others) causing his '100%' bar to steadily rise - always ending in some sort of emotional breakdown. Sometimes he acts in violence, but I think some of the easier to resonate with scenes are when he starts having an emotional overflow. For example, at the end of the first Teruki Hanazawa fight, Mob is not longer in the post 100% state and regrets using his powers against someone else: ending in him simply sobbing.
The way Mob shows a lack of emotions throughout the earlier sectors of the series is reminiscent of how I would behave. Mostly throughout my life, I would not start confrontations or show strong emotions. But whenever I would get overwhelmed or overstimulated, I would become easily violent and, like Mob, found myself unavailable to process what I was saying until it had already came out my mouth. I would only regret it much later, but even if I did regret it, I wouldn't let anyone know I did and the cycle would repeat.
To wrap up this post, I'm not saying that every character who is an esper has specifically autism. Some characters without ESP remind me of myself in elements like Reigen or Shinji Kamuro and there's some characters with ESP where I cannot relate any personal experiences with autism with, such as characters like Miyagawa in claw. MP100, as a show and manga, helped me realize that it doesn't really matter that I have autism. It's just kind of that thing that's just there and, yeah, it affects my life in important ways, but it also can have positive effects in some places. Like being able to survive down and write this post with the amount of dedication I had, because it's something I feel strongly about.
I fully welcome anyone to add on anything in relation to MP100 and neurodiversity, I would very much like to expand my opinions and hear other people's experiences with autism and parallels they can see.

edit: image description written by @princess-of-purple-prose ! thank you!
[ID: An in-character interview with Dimple from Mob Psycho 100 on 4chan. It reads:
>Interview with Dimple
>Q1. What kind of person were you when you were alive?
A. I forgot... But since its me, I'm sure it was a hella sexy dude.
>Q2. It seems you can communicate with Reigen when you're possessing him. How is that different from others?
A. Who knows. It's probably because we have a shared purpose. Even when you're both sitting in a car, only one of you can use the steering wheel, right? So unless two people agree exactly on which direction they're going, the car's not going to move in the right direction with two people behind the steering wheel. Ordinary people aren't usually conscious when I'm possessing them. It's different for espers, though. Especially strong ones, who can't even possess.
>Q3. What do you feel like?
A. Wet, smooth, slippery. A bit cold, but that can be adjusted. But it's not like ordinary people can touch me to begin with.
>Q4. Why did you stay in the world after giving up on becoming a god?
A. I'm not sure either... Spirits are born from a purpose, like resentment or obsession. Only with strong desire can the spirit body be maintained. But maybe it's like what Mob said. People are just people. You don't have to exist for a reason, and it doesn't matter if you care about it or not. Why does that kid occasionally say something profound when he's dealing with something besides himself?
>Q5. Is there anyone you particularly enjoyed possessing? Anyone you want to try?
A. That old lady or whatever guarding Claw. People who have very little spiritual resistance will do whatever you want, so that feels nice. Being the cult leader of LOL was especially fun! One person that surprised me was the leader of the Body Improvement Club. It was like manipulating a giant robot! Someone I'd want to try... probably Hanazawa. If you give him to me, I'm sure I can take him from being the school idol to the least popular guy in school in a day.
>Q6. What do you do when Mob's at school?
A. I've been going to Spirits and Such more often because interesting things occasionally happen there. Besides that, sometimes I take a walk, watch TV, or I check out your house. (evil laughter) I'm kidding, of course.
A. He's always trying to play pranks and thinks he's got Mob fooled, which is pretty funny to watch. Or at least that's what I thought, but it turns out Mob is really just that gullible. Reigen's like that guy who keeps building shaky towers out of building blocks, and it should come as no surprise when they collapse. He's always using some weird and question means of maintaining it all, and sometimes I just want to poke him a little bit and make him fall. ...I have to repress that desire.
>Q8. If you could become a human and become Mob's friend, what would you do?
A. Become a human... Make friends... Travel, eat food, play sports. Anything would be good, but I'd just like to pass the time as usual. That's enough to make good memories. ...or actually, I think I'd like to do sumo! Even if I can't beat him in powers, I want to use my bodily strength and muscles to toss Mob around. Let him see how that feels like.
>Q9. What was your first impression of Mob? How about now?
A. I thought he was just a kid so I underestimated him. But instead he was scary as fuck. I pissed my pants, okay? I don't think I understand him as much now since he's grown up a lot. I wonder how he'll end up.
>Q10. How can someone see you? A. You need to think that seeing me is something completely natural. Once you can fool your brain, your perspective changes. This is something that you can train, but maybe something completely unexpected will happen. So it's dangerous and not recommended. The easy way is to just let me possess you. The important thing is just to break the common sense that forms your vision.
Q11. Can you eat ordinary food? Please tell me your favorite food!
A. I can still eat and drink, and I'll absorb the energy in the food. My favorite food? Beans and peanuts. That's cute? Yeah, that's right. Also alcohol. Beer has the best alcohol fragrance. You say I sound like your dad? Hmph, shut up.
>Q12. What's the first thing you remember?
A. The memory of my life is entirely gone... I can't remember at all. I feel like it should be like it is now. I stare at the sky a lot. There's some old memories from right after I became a spirit, probably in a cemetery. But I don't know if I have a tomb somewhere. It's all like a prior life to me, anyways. One day, will I forget about what's happening now, too...? Ugh, that sounds like something an ordinary living person would be worried about. Forget about it. End ID]

me who hasn't engaged in ben 10 stuff in like, Forever, suddenly really invested in thinking about an Anodite Ben AU...
Despite only half-remembering huge swaths of canon and barely knowing shit about Omniverse:
why am i like this....
Like for me, the main point of interest is that it's not Gwen 10. Ben actually still has the Omnitrix here too, but that doesn't really make him brokenly strong all the time.
Part of it is that it *kinda* does, but the AU has like a Mob Psycho 100 approach to power, and a kind of "if great power comes with great responsibility, then overwhelming power leads to overwhelming responsibility" vibe, and part of it is that these two aspects of him don't perfectly mesh, nor are they wholly separate.
They cross-interact and affect one another, and not always in ways that are positive.
Like I imagine that here, it's only *because* of latent spark potential that Ben is even compatible with the Omnitrix
Azmuth meets him, goes "hmmm" for a second, recalls what "humans" are, and then flatly goes "Huh. You should be dead. And not even able to wear that in the first place."
Because there was a major flaw in the Omnitrix, where its transformations are too extreme and abrupt, killing any being that can't handle such a huge surge of energy and metabolic strain.
By extension, the limited aliens it lets Ben choose between were only somewhat up to chance. They're generally so self-evidently exceptional in some way because what you can actually turn into is still bottlenecked by the requirement that it can survive *de-transformation.*
Which *usually* means something already adapted to handle a high energy throughput and metabolic load, because it was necessary to be able to support its own flashy, fast-acting, high-energy biological abilities.
Azmuth knew this and programmed a stopgap safety feature where it's just not even supposed to work at all if it senses that you can't biologically handle it.
(Cue some joke quips about how the hell Galvans count, but Azmuth defensively explains how making such a tiny brain so powerful actually requires a very resilient and high-energy nervous system)
I also imagine that Ben's Anodite energy is green, but only because of the Omnitrix.
Like here, the Omnitrix's source of mass and energy is from a stabilized micro-wormhole inside of it, leading to an artificial dwarf star that it draws from.... Which happens to be green, as a quirk of how its artificial nature and surrounding energy collection system affects its color.
When Ben was first exposed to the energy of the Omnitrix, his body instinctively "attuned" itself to it to better handle it, and now preferentially channels the energy his Anodite powers use from there.
(If this sounds kinda like a Certain Something to you... Yeah, I Know :)))). )
This also interferes with Ben's skill in other kinds of magic beyond just light, heat, and manipulating raw mana constructs, because this preferential attunement leaves his power "biased", throwing off how well he can manipulate other forces and phenomena.
While it is possible to "reconfigure" your attunement, for now Ben simply isn't experienced enough to pull it off.
Still, now that he's attuned, his Anodite powers don't actually care how far away the Omnitrix or the star get, so this is permanent, and he doesn't need the watch to keep his Anodite powers.
However, it does make the watch register a much higher power draw whenever he uses magic and a transformation at the same time, shortening the time limits on transforming, or in some cases immediately turning him back to normal afterwards.
Meanwhile, Anodite powers in human form are fine, since the watch isn't acting as any sort of "middle man" in these situations. Ben is just independently lifting power from the star without the watch's say in the matter. He just learns the hard way that you don't try to use magic directly *on* the watch in the hopes of somehow enhancing it or refreshing the transformation timer.
Even though it's virtually impossible for an Omnitrix's user to ever "use the star up", and it could handle even millions of years of heavy power extraction, its limitations are so as not to overwhelm the *user* with this power.
With the Master Code basically being the "No thanks, I don't care, I know what I'm doing" function.
Also, I would just remove the "too much power instantly gives inexperienced Anodites megalomania" thing.
It's not that I hate that choice, but simply that I feel like there's more angst potential + more subtlety and layers to exploring the moral nuance without it. This way, I remove the implication of "If you give into it, it's not exactly your fault, it's just Fundamentally hard to resist in a Special Way".
Kind of like how in Mob Psycho, it's not that psychic powers are inherently corrupting, it's merely that they're fun, convenient, often emotionally liberating to use, and sometimes hard to control, and that's more than dangerous enough.
Also because I think it'd be more fun to do an arc where Ben temporarily can't have a "civilian" life at all and straight up *doesn't know how* to be human again.
Combined with making Ben neurodivergent and then using this metaphorically to further back up and embolden his actual neurodivergence, mixing real struggles with larger-than-life ones.
From here, I think I'd prefer to replace the megalomania with the act of channeling too much power simply sending you into sensory overload, and in Ben's case, potentially leading to him having meltdowns.
(If I said anything totally off base, or accidentally presented any info that's already canon as a supposedly original component of the AU , forgive me)

With the GMG arc almost wrapped up i feel it's now a good time to give my overall thoughts about it, mentioning the things I did and didn't like. Note: this will be more negative than positive as unfortunately I was disappointed by this arc in a way I haven't been with the others. This will be a beefy post as the arc is longer than any others before it.
I want to start by saying I went into this arc with positivity towards it. I may be critical of the show but when I read the arc as a teenager I genuinely adored it. And I feel that, while rocky, the arc started off fairly strong. The first test to enter the games was a fun concept. We got a bit of focus on one of Lucy's silver keys which is always a treat and the nature of the maze itself was great.
I loved getting to see more guilds for once and the choice to include GMG as the first major post time skip arc isn't a bad idea. The thought to give fairy tail a fall from grace isn't terrible (the execution of it is another story entirely) as it adds some stakes to the games themselves with fairy tail aiming to reclaim the public opinion.
Sabertooth as a foil to fairy tail was again, a solid idea even if the plotting didn't fully do them justice. A sanctioned guild built on the idea that strength and power are all that matter is something that could've worked but unfortunately fell flat.
Acnologias backstory is one of my favorite reveals in the show. As is the twist that two people appeared from the future and Ultears magic only getting 1 minute back. Erza vs 100 monsters is always going to be a highlight.
Unfortunately I'm going to now shift into criticism territory:
The issues with this arc start from the timeskip itself. First none of the fairy tail characters left behind were allowed to get stronger and begin to hold their own. They still could've been a much worse guild with the lack of members and harassment from other guilds in the area but we can't have anyone outside of team tenrou hold any weight so instead fairy tail gets to be pathetic unless a specific group is there. This ties into Mashima generally just ignoring his side characters that don't have immediately obvious strong powers.
Even Romeo suffers from this and that's such an intense level of disappointment for me because he's been going on missions with Bisca and Alzack for years at this point. Let the kid be capable of holding his own in some way.
Next: the 3 month time skip, there was no reason for Mashima to skip over yet another bit of time and avoid a training arc for his characters. Them training hard to get stronger and their work paying off in the games would've been way more satisfying for the audience and (if the group separated for it) allowed for some really awesome reveals of what everyone accomplished in their time apart.
But we didn't get that so we go into the games and have a few episodes that while not perfect, do a decent job of exciting the viewers for what's to come. Then we get to the games themselves and it starts to have problems. People cheating and nothing coming of it other than fairy tail getting brutalized for the sake of angering the fan base on their behalf. The guards and council being essentially written as incompetent unintentionally so that we can make sure dramatic story beats happen. Raven tail being a mockery despite how it's been built up since before the timeskip as a force fairy tail will need to face down.
Endless fights that are written to "prove fairy tail is just superior because they're stronger" with the same tired cycle over and over again. Natsu specifically is the worst offender of this with him going from being destroyed by sting to somehow being able to take both him and rogue on all by himself in spite of how worn out he should be. The audience of the games similarly being given a mob mentality of apparently wanting fairy tail obliterated because they kind of suck at some arena games? The games themselves having a pretty unclear set of rules that is adjusted based on what Mashima decides will happen. Villains, as always, being written as heavily sadistic monsters who care about no one without thought to future potential redemption arcs mashima will opt to add in.
Lucy being humiliated at every turn because we can't allow her to have any level of success. The ridiculous level of red herrings that are just outright lies told by Mashima to trick his audience in the most childish way he can. He basically beats his readers over the heads with how they should feel about his plot rather than just writing it and allowing consumers to form their own opinions.
I can't even really enjoy Sabertooth being a foil to fairy tail because the very thing they're supposedly different for, a focus on strength, is something mashima prides fairy tail on as well. How often do we get shown characters being pathetic and uninteresting because their powers aren't as good as the main characters? How many times does the writer himself depict people in the guild being made the butt of the joke for not being as battle savvy. I mean fairy tail itself falls out of favor and the story shows us that them being stronger than everyone is how we should know they're worthy of our attention. The message doesn't work.
Raventail was absolutely wasted as an antagonist and building them up for so long only to take them out in the most boring way possible makes it feel like Mashima wasted his audience's time. I don't understand how time travel magic works since half the time they tell us time magic takes your life and the other time it actually takes no life at all to do, bringing in confusion on what stakes we should even take away from using it.
The guilds themselves also feel incredibly empty as Mashima gives them almost no members outside of the ones named who compete. I don't need a bunch of named extras, but if you're going to give us boxes for the guilds at least show us the full boxes of the rivals and have them working with their guilds during the final battle.
This arc cemented that Levy was fundamentally changed as a character in a way that doesn't line up with her original depiction and angered me since she's my favorite character. She was literally shown to be the most competent member of Shadowgear who saved jet and droy in tense situations and yet now she's apparently someone they need to protect and save because she can't take care of herself despite testing to be an S-class wizard.
This arc was also not helped by the animation changing half way through and the budget seemingly decreasing along with it making the story issues much more prevalent when the art isn't something the series can fall back on.
I wanted to like this arc, I expected to have far more highs than lows and was sorely let down in every capacity. I know I actually missed specific mentions of things that irked me and that's largely due to how much their was.

Team Sky Anon: Chiaki what's your thoughts on the Minecraft movie trailer? I'm personally excited for it
Alright, I knew people were going to ask me about this...Strap in boys and girls. I'm gonna try and make this brief, but fair warning, you might not like what I'm about to say.
I'm going to explain something VERY CAREFULLY before I give my take on this movie.
Because more often than not, I don't have heavy, or strong opinions on things, especially games. I enjoy games, regardless of how good or bad they are, and the same applies to movies or TV shows based on those games.
But when I DO have an opinion on something, and people ask for me to explain it, I try to remain 100% completely honest when I give my takes, regardless of the risk of getting backlash, or starting arguments. I just straight up avoid these sorts of conflicts, like I should, but I'm never afraid to state what I believe.
Because at the end of the day, it's my opinion, and if you disagree, that's totally fine, because it's just a game/movie. We're not talking about genuine politics here.
This time is no different, so all I can request is that you hear me out, because it's of my understanding that the internet absolutely despises this trailer, and...it's not like I don't understand why. It's just another case of Warner Bros being stupid and problematic.
But...when I watched the Minecraft movie trailer for the first time...I really, REALLY liked it...!
And that's basically my take in a nutshell. I don't think this trailer comes anywhere CLOSE to how amazing the trailer for Sonic 3 was, but I still think it was a great teaser.
I definitely have some concerns and questions, like why aren't the human's blocky, why do the greenscreen effects look so...off, and why does Jason Momoa look like he's trying to cosplay a Barbie Girl?
But this is just a TEASER trailer. This won't give us any of the answers we're looking for. The OFFICIAL trailer will.
But besides the point, let me just try my hardest to explain myself, and explain why it is I like this trailer.
So, right off the bat, the first thing I love is the world. Minecraft itself. Everything in here looks so detailed, and the production design is fantastic.
Another thing I like is also the cast. The main 5 actors that we see in the trailer are Jack Black as Steve, Jason Momoa as Garrett, Emma Myers as Natalie, Danielle Brooks as Dawn, and Sebastian Eugine Hanson as Henry.
Sebastian is relatively new to the acting scene, and I know people have their concerns about the way this cast is presented in the teaser, but as a reminder, it's very rare for Jack Black and Jason Momoa to phone in a bad performance, Emma Myers is incredibly famous for A Good Girls Guide to Murder and Wednesday, in both of which she's awesome, and Danielle Brooks is an actual Oscar Nominee.
All in all, I like this cast, and I think they're gonna give us a really fun show.
And the last thing I love, as a gamer, is the Minecraft easter eggs in the teaser. Such as breaking down a block and having it turn small, crafting stuff on a crafting table...
E-Even if that looks a little funky...
And the creatures too. People keep dissing the sheep online, but I'm sorry to break it to you, if a Minecraft sheep was real, THAT'S what it WOULD look like. And the Creeper too! The Creeper gave me a huge smile!
But again, the hate for this trailer is astounding, and again, I understand it. But also, at the same time, I think it's a little overblown. All of this discourse and for what? Because people don't want a live action movie cast in an uncanny valley world made of cubes? Because the mobs look "ugly?"
I understand that I probably just look pretty simple minded right now, and for the record, I would prefer an animated Minecraft movie, but let me make it clear that I don't hate this.
And I am more than open to talking about this movie, and people's opinions on it, but my biggest question is...what exactly was everyone expecting? I know people are mad, but we got basically exactly what we were promised from this trailer, and this is exactly what it would be like if humans entered the Minecraft world.

Perks of Being an S-Class Heroine - Propaganda Post
S-Class Heroine is my all-time favourite Otome Isekai for sure. I've reread the available webtoon chapters a stupid number of times, then read the webnovel and became even more insane about the story. Here's why you should read it too!
---
The premise of the story is pretty standard. Lady in her 20s gets hit by a truck and is reincarnated as a mob character who's destined to die early. Her new world is full of danger because dungeons filled with demons can spring up whenever, but she has the help of a game system and its benevolent moderators (the gods that transmigrated her there) cheering her on.
Top 3 things that make the story stand out from other OIs:
No romance while they're children
It's a low bar but one that lots of OIs fail anyway, so it's worth mentioning.
Excellent Pacing
Speaking of childhood arcs, the author has the good sense to skip all the unnecessary skill grinding. We're only with the MC in the important parts where (1) worldbuilding mechanics are introduced (2) she makes important friends, or (3) she acquires fundamental skills that she's going to use for the rest of the story. You never lose track of the stakes involved because the story isn't dragged out. But it also isn't rushed; the story takes the time to pause for jokes and small moments too.
The in-universe the tutorial/childhood period is 10 years long, but we're only with the MC for like a couple of months in total. Can't imagine being in the childhood arc for 100+ chapters. (sorry Matriarch. I did love you but I simply cannot see why the last 3 arcs I read needed to exist at all)
ML doesn't fall into any of the typical archetypes.
I dunno how to describe Tesilid. He's a hero, he's a damsel in distress. He behaves saint-like but he doesn't even really want to be that way.
His character revolves around some magic restrictions on his behaviour. He has to adhere to the 7 heavenly virtues and abstain from the 7 deadly sins, which basically means that he's always very kind and gentlemanly. He's also a doormat who's constantly betrayed and taken advantage of because he's essentially not allowed to stand up for himself.
He's such a funny guy ever because when he's like 10 and still not very great at handling himself, he petulantly mutters and complains under his breath about why he's the only one who has to live so rigidly. You can definitely tell that if he were given the choice, he definitely wouldn't be doing so many saintly things, but here he is anyway and looking like an angel while at it. But he's also not a selfish prick. He's the guy who in the original novel died 80+ times trying to save the world. He consistently wishes for others to avoid living the same restrictive life as he does in the in-universe church, even though this incurs penalties from committing the sin of envy.
imo Tesilid doesn't feel like a typical bland ML, maybe because he's quite literally an action fantasy MC who's now in a rofan lol. By the grace of the transmigration gods he now has a transmigrator who wants, above all, for him to have a freer and happier life.
His interactions with FL are both very cute and somehow devastatingly sad and hopeful at the same time. She's the only one with whom he is exempt from the penalties of committing the seven deadly sins, which means he can actually be himself around her. If she's the one giving him food, he can eat it without it counting as the sin of gluttony. So after the childhood arc they have this wordless agreement where she piles food on his plate without being asked and he cleans the plate. They look like a married couple to everyone else, but they're probably rationalising it on the inside. It makes me want to combust.
FL also became strong in order to defend him. I love how narratively speaking, lots of times Tesilid is the damsel in distress. There's no ML coming in to solve all the FL's problems, because he's constantly weaker than her. But it's not demeaning, because it means that for the first time ever, someone is there to catch him when he falls. And despite being weaker and being rescued by the FL lots of times, he's also never stripped of agency. He's always thinking and acting to protect her in turn. And as he gets stronger, she sometimes ends up having to keep up with his plans and antics instead.
TLDR; romance aside, Tesilid is a really interesting main character because his entire thing is about resisting the Saint-like character and destiny imposed onto him. I know OIs are about romance, and this one does have (slow-burn) romance, but I love it when stories transcend that and make their characters more than just their relationship with their love interests. Also it's very nice how he and FL flipped the damsel in distress dynamic and without making it emasculating or demeaning for either party.
—
Anyway there's more good things about the story, like it being really funny and having excellent art. I would explain and also talk about the MC who's also so funny and so driven, but unfortunately Tesilid has my entire brain in his grip. I could talk about him forever but he has already made this post long enough.
Please read S-Class Heroine ❤️ The pacing is so good and also Tesilid exists. Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.
#manhwa#otome isekai#korean webtoon#shoujo#a transmigrator's privilege#the perks of being an s class heroine#also tagging#tesilid argente#bc more than half the post ended up being me gushing about him#squeezes him like a stuffed toy#also crossposted on reddit#bc i think the audience is bigger there#PLEASE i cant keep being the only person in the fandom

I recently finished @neil-gaiman's Norse Mythology and it was excellent. I like that the aesir were, especially as a mob, depicted as a bunch of falliable and violent louts. Thor was especially funny.
I'd never actually read a full account of Ragnarok before, just a few odd scraps of the predictions because so many of the stories foreshadow the big event. I think it would make for a really neat dnd/pathfinder campaign setting. Hear me out:
- Far into the future, Fimbulvetr has gone on for long enough to make civilization crumble and all of the original humans are either desperate mutant barbarians in the post apocalypse, part of the legions of Hel, or the Einherjar
-- Fimbulvetr starts sometime between 2030-2200 because of a nuclear winter. Everything left on midgard has been thoroughly irradiated until it looks suspiciously like the parts of the monster manual that I feel like using
-- Surtr is approaching earth to fight Frey. He travels over astronomical distances to reach midgard, and the entire campaign would be set in a period where the earth has rapidly warmed over the course of a few decades to produce a few transient pockets of civilization in an apocalyptic midgard just as Surtr approaches to burn the world to ash
- All PCs are among the Einherjar and may originally be from any time up to the 21st century (or *maybe* the barbarians if someone has a great backstory).
-- This way, characters can share some irl knowledge of guns and technology without having to play 100% dumb
-- Among the Einherjar, modern soldiers are very rare because the aesir think most wars after WWI were largely pathetic, but occasionally the Valkyries consider some brave infantrymen to be worthy of Valhalla. Modern Einherjar had plenty of time to update their older comrades on the existence of some new weaponry. They don't use this in Valhalla because they don't have access to the technology, but the Einherjar and gods are aware that humans in midgard got up to some crazy ass weapons development before Ragnarok began.
-- Original party members are all human because the adventure begins around a group of the Einherjar. They start around level 5 with plenty of access to player's handbook weaponry because they're badass warriors. Maybe by the time some get killed they can make friends with the light elves or dark elves/dwarves and add them to the party
--All nonhuman PC races would fall under light elves or dark elves. The distinction would be primarily down to whether they're from Alfheim or Svartalfheim. The light elves aren't generally opposed to the gods and don't need to fight in Ragnarok if they don't feel like it since their plane Alfheim won't be cremated by Surtr. Dark elves are only called dark because they are typically opposed to the aesir, but most don't feel the need to attack aesir during Ragnarok. They would be only a minor threat compared to the apocalyptic forces of Loki's spawn and Surtr that the gods are armed to face. They're frantically trying to use the wondrous technology of the dwarves to attempt to survive Ragnarok however they may.
- Jotun broadly include a lot of powerful monsters, and many of the strongest ones are giants, devils, or dragons possessing spellcasting abilities. They all hate the aesir
-- The original goal given to the party would be to kill a big bad evil Jotun with a piece of dwarven technology fetched from some dark elves
- The other main enemies the PCs encounter would be the oppositional force of Hel's legions
-- Hel's legions are primarily strong due to their vast numbers and the fact that they've somehow acquired a bit of modern weaponry. Most of the warriors suck unless they've been well-equipped. Some few powerful warriors happened to die pathetic deaths, even though they're not Einherjar they're still a threat.
-- That last point and the headcanon I have of modern soldiers being less likely to go to Valhalla was the nugget of an idea that inspired this post. I'd had this idea when reading about the Einherjar fighting the legions of dishonored dead until both sides were exterminated. I think having badass Vikings fighting zombies with modern weapons would make for some really cool turn based combat
- The aesir and vanir are significantly recontextualized to make the lore compatible with non Norse sources. The aesir still must play their roles in Ragnarok
--All of the aesir and vanir who hang out in Asgard are incarnate and may directly influence the world during Ragnarok
-- Every non-aesir diety that players are interested in worshipping as clerics/paladins/etc is disincarnate and counts among the ranks of the vanir. This can include dieties from any source worth including, be it Greek mythology, dnd books, other made up gods, what have you. Most don't wish to involve themselves in Ragnarok as they can rarely interfere directly with midgard due to a lack of incarnation. Vanaheim, home of the vanir, is functionally not a real place to go for incarnate beings which is why it is safe from Ragnarok, but some vanir have interests on Earth and may offer their power to players that think it's fun to be a cleric
....is this anything?

5/2/23
Good lord I'm tired. I slept like shit again. Really bad this time. Only like 5 hours total. And a very intense yoga routine. But... I did finish this...
So... not all is lost. I spent pretty much the whole day on it.
I don't really have much to say tonight, I'm just beyond exhausted. I need to find something to help sleep. And again, I've been too afraid of smoking weed. So... I think I'm going to find a good day with good vibes and get something immersive like minecraft set up and then smoke a little bit and see how I handle it, just to get reacquainted. And if it freaks me out, then figure out an alternative.
Again, really weird to be this scared of weed when I smoked every single night for months before I moved in here, and smoked every single night for the first like... 2 months that I was here. But my tolerance is 100% gone, I guarantee it. So... I'm a bit worried about getting hit really hard by it.
You know... when I was 17, I got my parents to buy me beer. Coors Original, I didn't even know beer or anything, I just wanted to drink. And I went walking into town with 2 Nalgenes full of Coors in my backpack, walking barefoot with a skate t-shirt with the sleeves ripped off and cargo shorts. When I got into town, I was pretty much done with the first Nalgene and had a good solid buzz going, and my friends pulled up when I was walking past a gas station. They were in their hippie van, they had an extra ticket to the Deep Purple and Joe Satriani show they were going to and wanted to see if I wanted to come with. And I, of course, without hesitation, said yes. And off we went. And I remember being in the parking lot, getting out of the van, chugging the last of my beer and eating a piece of pizza, walking barefoot across this asphalt parking lot. And when we got into the show, we went up to the barricade that separated the "lawn seats" and the actual... seats. And some couple came up to me and my friend, they were leaving and offered us... I shit you not... free second-row seats. And they insisted, so we took them. And I didn't even know the music, I didn't even know I was going to be there!
I used to be spontaneous. I used to say "yes". And now? I'm scared of smoking weed because it might give me a waking nightmare. And I'm often scared to go to sleep because it might give me a... sleeping nightmare. And it makes me understand part of what they mean when they say "oh, to be a kid again." It's not just the wonder and curiosity... it's the naiveté. Car accidents, diseases, mob violence, traumatic shit... those are things you see on the news (I guess today's analog would be social media), those are things that happen in movies and stories and games, those are things that happen to other people. They're removed. And it creates this sense of invulnerability.
To be completely honest, I saw a lot of this in the pandemic. A lot was denial, but that whole attitude of... "well, I'm not gonna get it", "well I don't know anyone who got it", "everyone I know who got it was fine". With the ones whose critical thinking can override their pride, once they see what it's capable of after it strikes close to home? They start taking shit seriously.
Idk, maybe a bad example, but it's something. Point being... I miss being that carefree, and all the good that came with it. I went from whitewater kayaking the day after a hurricane (which was unfathomably dangerous and I would not do again) to being afraid to smoke weed alone in my apartment on a monday afternoon. Or even at 4 AM to help with sleep.
Why? I don't even know. The emotion is just too strong, I guess.
I'm not going to solve this tonight, I just wanted to bring it up again for the umpteenth time. Weed has been a reliable remedy to help with sleep. I think it has to do with suppressing dreams. But I just don't want to wake up after 3 hours, sleep deprived, groggy, hearing weird noises coming from my super loud neighbors, still very high, and start freaking out. I just don't want to absorb that feeling of vulnerability. So, basically... if it works... I will sleep great and a ton of my recurring problems will be remedied. If it doesn't... I will have a waking nightmare for a few hours that's worse than me trying to sleep without weed. Worth the gamble?
If only I had literally anything in place as a contingency plan for freaking out. Like... anything. A happy place. Maybe that can be my thing to work on tomorrow, make a fucking happy place.
I am actually nodding off. I'm out.

New favorite NPC: the guy on Makeb who fanboyed about meeting Havoc Squad and says he has a collection of all our holovids
it raises so many questions! Are these like the Captain America propaganda films about the Howling Commandos? Are they edited to romanticize the war? How much real footage is in them and how much is staged and CG’d in? Do they hire actors to play film-Havoc? (do they play up the romance angle with Ves and Jorgan, like they did with Steven and Peggy in Captain America’s propaganda?)
do you think there are action figures of Havoc Squad and other famous figures too? does the Ves action figure have an assault cannon that fires nerf darts? is there a Revan doll? if so, I hope it’s one of those mystery “collect them all!” type dolls, where there’s like a dozen different ones and you don’t know who you got until you take the mask off
Ves’s niece Scout totally owns a complete set of Havoc figures. Her favorite is Elara, but she’ll say her favorite is either Aunt Ves or Uncle Aric depending on who’s in the room with her.
#vesiya hallis#swtor shenanigans#I have a collection of screenshots from every time someone fanboys about meeting Havoc#or comments on how great we are#my favorites are the ones who are like 'you're overrated I'm gonna kill you now'#because 100% of the time they're like. not even a strong mob#they're just some guy who doesn't like my pretty armor or doesn't notice my GIANT GUN#also I've decided just now that Ves's other niece Zan has a plush Fourex doll that she takes everywhere#I don't need more things to write but now I guess this is going on the list too because I love it

I just want to talk about what we know about what life is like for human biotics! I am aware that this reads as if I was talking to myself in a hypomanic episode. this is because I was.
We get a lot of interesting info from Kaidan, who was exposed in utero in flight 714 incident at singapore int'l spaceport on april 8 of 2151. He was fitted with an L2 implant at 17 (2168). If Shep is biotic, they were exposed in utero (2153-54) + at age 14; They were fitted with an L3 implant at age 17. which by the way literally how bc they were a minor at the time and there was no official biotics program at the time since BaAT was shut down, plus it was before Grissom Academy. ROTC type program maybe?
ANYWAY We know that biotics just tend to be more... static-y(?) in general. They tend to get small shocks from touching metal objects. Kaidan actually has a little throwaway line that his hair stands up a little on its own so he doesn't need to style it. the mass relay statue on the presidium makes his teeth feel funny and he hears a low humming sound, maybe this can be felt around eezo or large quantities of electricity in general?
On the day to day, it's really important for biotics to keep their amp ports clean, kinda like any medical port we have today. Due to their metabolism burning through calories to provide energy for biotics, they may have what could be considered symptoms of hypermetabolic disorders. Gaining and maintaning weight may be challenging, they're probably prone to anemia, and often feel hot/sweaty.
Typically there are only a few biotics in a unit. This is likely due to the expenses related to them. They need more food, amps, medical observation, and armor that is protective yet flexible enough for them to perform their physical mnemonics. Ironically though, they work best in groups where they can synchronize their abilities.
As we know, there tends to be prejudice and ostracization from other humans. There was even one instance where a biotic was attacked and killed by mob who was scared of them. There's a lot of misinformation about what they are capable of and fear from the general public, including organizations refusing to pay reparations to biotics they abused in their research. This is sort of the origin of biotic extremist groups.
I wonder if they face these issues in the Alliance. Of course publically, the alliance welcomes them and offers them huge enlistment incentives. and they aren't locked out of careers, their options of where they are accepted is mainly limited to the military. It's totally possible that on the day to day, alliance officers and crew distrust them.
i imagine that since biotics basically fire up your nervous system, it can make you feel overwhelmed or anxious, which is probably the source of psychological distressed that many L2's developed. It's also known that biotics kinda like glow during sex. By that logic I’d think biotics can also flare up with strong emotions or physical pain.
Government registration is necessary if the mission involving major kyle and chairman burns goes sour. Though I'd always imagine this is something the government would want to keep track of anyway for census, public health, and military recruitment reasons.
not 100% sure on some sources but hit post send anyway

MORE cursed TNG headcanons cause I can't stop thinking about them lol
Barclay's favourite holo-game is Doom Eternal. Meanwhile, Worf's new favourite is Animal Crossing New Horizon. They accidentally accessed each other's holo programs and it turns out they enjoyed it!
Meanwhile, Tasha's just enjoying her usual holo-game of Runescape (she scams people)
Picard is a brony and his favourite is Applejack. Q once tried to rope Picard into an MLP roleplay because of this
Geordi once did cringe nsfw furry roleplay with an anonymous Discord user by the name of CommanderFucker#5069. The weird thing is that Riker has also done nsfw furry roleplay with a user named ShrimpVision#7280 at the same time (they haven't realized they're roleplaying with each other)
Wesley Crusher watches anime and is a certified weeb. His favourite anime is 'One Piece' and 'My Hero Academia'
Wesley also plays Osu! and Genshin Impact. This is the only instance where Beverly is disappointed in her son
Data plays Neko Atsume on the holodeck on a daily basis and gets upset whenever he missed the cats coming in while he was on shift. One time some dumbass visiting commander accidentally erased his save files (including ALL of the photos of the cats visiting) and for a moment Data saw red and the entire Bridge crew had to hold him back from throwing hands
Beverly and the Enterprise-E's EMH have deep discussions over the latest Grey's Anatomy episodes (both of them have very strong opinions about season 100)
One time the universal translator malfunctions and no one could understand anyone. They discovered that Data's default language were Irish and Korean. He has a very thick Irish accent and literally no one could understand him when he speaks. Apparently, the universal translator also translates accents and without it, all they could hear from Data was an angry Irish man
Worf is VERY allergic to peanuts (despite his insistance that 'Klingons don't have allergies')
Deanna is a firm believer that everything tastes better if you dip them in chocolate. Even chocolate. Chocolate on ice cream? Amazing. Chocolate on vegetables? Questionable but great. Chocolate on chocolate? YES
Deanna's least favourite flavour is mint. Not even the presence of chocolate chips on mint could convince her otherwise
Every halloween, the Enterprise holds the Annual Couple's Costume Contest. Data and Geordi wins almost every year with costumes ranging from Holmes and Watson, Legolas and Gimli, to a literal christmas tree and box (they're not even a couple at this point, they're just THAT fruity)
While Geordi and Data call themselves 'The Perceivers', Riker and Data also has a team of their own and they call themselves 'The Condiment Brothers'
Picard can ice skate. Like, not just recreational ice skating, he's a figure skating champion. He's graceful on his feet and can literally land a quad like it's nothing (He hid this from the others cause it's embarassing but they knew)
The Senior Crew (and Wesley) have monthly Minecraft sessions. Geordi and Wesley are tasked with builds and redstones, Riker usually mines and gathers materials, Data is the one that keeps bringing every animal home despite it being crowded already and gets upset whenever someone kills any of them, Worf and Tasha are there to fight literally Every Mob On Sight, Deanna farms and is the one crafting necessary stuff. Picard and Beverly rarely join and even if they did, Picard usually just rides his horse around and gets disconnected a lot while Beverly goes along with them to mine

Arcane Finale / Jinx & Silco & Vi / Choice and growth
Thank god for shimmer... and Singed, and Silco. And Vi too. And anyone else that contributed to keeping this poor baby alive.
(So not you Ekko, high expectations for you to do better Season 2)
Did shimmer make Powder finally crazy, eh no? I really don't think so. I think it saved her, literally, from the brink of death. and probably from Silco's fate. And Vi by extension But let's get back to it later.
Powder is Jinx, and Jinx is Powder - there is no magical point where Powder transforms into 100% Jinx. It's a slow process - Vi and by extension us, the audience, wasn't there for it. So we feel Vi's shock. Because conflict here is that Jinx can't be old Powder from the time Vi was abducted. She's like whatever years older, she's not a child - she's a young adult/teen. Powder as Vi remembers her has grown up, and probably seeing your baby sister grown up would be quite a shock. Seeing your baby sister grown up under the man you hate - heh, more of a shock. Vi can only accept it or not.
It's painful for everyone involved.
But who is Jinx in comparison to Powder for eh, this baby girl?
Let's start from the beginning and something that frames the end choice of Jinx to become Jinx. Who made Jinx?
Think of the last part - Silco still grips to his trauma of abandonment by Vander for eh... how many years the man has been gone from his life? Aside from the brief interlude of act 1-3. I reckon 10 to 14 years? from the bridge scene.
Is that healthy? No.
Is Silco's pathway they're both are following in? Jinx a bit? Vi a lot. Like a whole lot - she can't let go of idea of Powder. Because that event was as traumatic for her as for Jinx, but then she got stuck in a cell not being able to out grow it in any way. Or even choose anything. She's an adult now, but "prison" adult.
Silco's trauma is something he projects on Jinx btw, which doesn't help dealing with her own. But being called a Jinx by Vi is not the trauma.
Anyway, who made Jinx into who she is?
The worst, what Vi thinks she did to create Jinx:
And what the actual Jinx has to say about it, what did Vi do to create Jinx:
I'm pretty sure somewhere mid Jinx's explanation of her growing up when Vi wasn't there, Vi completely looses plot of what Jinx is actually saying to her. Because her expression don't match the dialogue at all.
Vi gave her strength to survive, as imperfectly as trauma of loosing her family would. Vi was the one who was picking her up.
"What makes you different, makes you strong."
Anyway - the whole family reunion fiasco happens that devolves into a fight how to call this traumatised girl. Because you know, she already told you who Jinx is for her and these two can't fucking get a grip to put aside their arrested development from abandonment from Vander/abandoning Powder to ask a question what she prefers. Partially because Jinx craves acceptance at any cost from her family, she lacks the strength to even choose her own name:
Wake up from what? Growing up?
Anyway, until he says this:
He says "she's perfect", not Jinx or Powder. She is, and whatever the name she chooses for herself, she'll be this mob-dad's little girl. Imperfectly perfect. That's all the push she needed to be able to choose for herself.
Even if she went by Powder, her trauma would not go away. Nor would Vi's.
Btw. all the crows - her 'symbol' animal have left.
Anyway, baby steps - first what name she's more comfortable with:
She's the first to recognise that her relationship with Vi has changed forever, since they both changed. Now they can build their bond - how imperfect it will be - on themselves as they are now. Vi has to confront the truth or her sister will be lost to her forever.
Maybe now they won't be stuck in trauma of abandonment like Silco. Now there's no Silco so Vi has no excuse a monster stole her little sister away.
And then the ending, because in the end - this is what made her dad die. Actually plot related - made all of her family die. Someone, somewhere in the high up council making decisions about people in the undercity and traumatising them. This is what started this whole chain of events. An accidental explosion without anything more than property damage. That was enough.
Gj baby girl. Let them fear you, be the agent of change.
...
Also funny detail from council archives:
Ah, “Piltover the land of progress, equality, innovation.”. Throughout your whole history, you can never do no wrong.
Other posts by me - Arcane meta analysis posts - mostly politics, tech and character parallels

Blog's been a bit too quiet so I got a few questions....1 - will the Eternal One look like a normal human during their recharge stage or maybe they will retain some eldritch features and will said features be optional during customization?......2 - How strong will the Eternal One be in their somewhat mortal form and by somewhat i mean will they still be immortal or will they just have an incredibly fast healing process or an invulnerable body?.....3 - Since you said there would be an explosion of energy at the unsealing.....How will the NPCs performing the excavation survive and also did they bring that factor of suppressed power into consideration or it will be a surprise?......4 -Will the MC be able to control the monsters that are born out of their essence or will they be hostile to the MC?..... 5 - How will the MC meet the reluctant divine.....will she sense they are the Eternal One when she meets them and will she start living with them and accompanying them until their goal is met and her wish is granted?......6 - How strong is she when compared to the other pantheons and does she have any worshippers?......7 - And also would i be right to assume the MC will be living with the archaeologist since she would want to study them or in the country they are worshipped in and wil they be visited by the Primordials on their side while doing so?.....8 - When the time for revenge occurs.....will the MC have to solo the newer pantheons before reaching Christos since he painted them in a bad light when describing them or will they just stand aside and let the Older Gods deal with their own issues? .....9 - Will the recharge period also count as a learning and adaption period to a universe with living creations for the MC since I believe the universe only had the Primordials when they were moving freely?......10 - And finally will the MC fill up The Empty with their own creations and worlds and also did their imprisonment leave their realm vulnerable to outside influence and if yes was it tweaked by Christos as an insult to his former ruler or just deemed as a forbidden realm?.......Please feel free to answer them separately or as one big post.
Hi @chfrost08 thanks for sending all these asks 🤗😉
Under the cut...
Are spoilers so beware. (nothing that will truly ruin your reading experience tho.)
Question 1:
Yes, the MC will look human since their saviours/captors are human well... most are at least. So yes you will get to customise your MC's human Appearance. As for their divine form whichever of the 7 forms that I have planned that you can choose for your MC. You will have one special feature from your Divine Form added to your MC's human form. Examples, having horns(Of your choice), having a tail(of your choice) etc.
Question 2:
The MC will be as strong as a Demi-God during their recharge period through the story. So they are stronger than the vast majority of mortals but much weaker than any god/goddess.
As for the how strong or invulnerable the MC will be.... well that will be up to guys. Because I intend to implement a system where you will receive about 15 points that you will be able to implement into your MC's stats giving you the readers the choice where your MC's strengths lie. During their weakened time. (All stats will max once recharge hits 100%)
Question 3:
Well that's a good question.... which ain't gonna answer because in that moment of the power surge there will obviously be moments, reactions and a very surprising scene for our dear NPCs. And I would hate to ruin that before there's even a demo. But! I will answer that last spoilery part of this question. And the answer is....
No. The Mob characters had no idea there was pent up power or that our MC would be having an exploding moment after being unsealed. (So I'll leave the rest to your imagination...😉)
Question 4:
This has been answered here
But to further elaborate the monsters ain't per se really hostile to our MC. They feel a type of kinship.... but that doesn't mean they're buddies. So a type of love-hate relationship in way?... 🤔
Question 5:
Very spoilery.... But I'll try to keep it as vague as possible...
The MC will only meet Ren mid to late story(this is a 2 book series), but I won't say how. Only that depending on your previous choices that if the your MC has more than 50% power back, they will meet her mid story. But if less than that you'll miss that stat check leading to the later encounter. And by mid game the MC will have at least 45-55% of their power back depending on your previous choices.
But if you do meet the stat check she will join you on your journey. Even if she has to beg.(And believe me she will if you try and turn her way.) Tho as for what happens during that time only you can decide.
Question 6:
Ren compared to the other gods strength wise..... hmmm. Well... she would be as strong as Arum I guess. But definitely weaker than the Old Gods and most certainly weaker than the Primordials. Since she is definitely in the top leagues with the New Gods perhaps Top 3 max. Now as for worshippers... she doesn't have any for two simple reasons; 1.) She never wanted to be a goddess as such she was very hermit-like in that way. So she's not very boisterous about her divinity to the world. 2.) She has people sing her praise from when she was a hero still till present day. But no one really knew she was cursed and has been walking the lands of Eden for 500 years. They all believe she went back home.
Question 7:
I wouldn't say April will be staying with our MC since the the MC will be travelling throughout Eden during this story. So technically she's staying with the MC. But mainly following along really. And yes you are correct she's only travelling with MC to study and understand them.... or maybe there's more to it? As for if the Primordials visit I'll leave that in the not-spoiling zone.😋
Question 8:
Ok this will heavily depend on 3 special stats that will be implemented into the story.
These stats will open three different endings for your MC, plus there will be one hidden route (tho only Female MC's will find this ending {hint; Ren}) which I have planned, so 4 endings in total.
Anyway the 3 special stats are as follows:
The Living Calamity: 0%
= This is if you want to go down the path of complete destruction and revenge with complete disregard for life. Evil path....maybe its all about perspective really. [This path you will have to kill all the gods, but will get the choice on which Primordials you spare.]
The Revered One: 0%
= This path will be for the MCs that want to walk a path of revenge, but still carry a heart of gold. So anti-hero path I guess. [Here the gods will stay out of your way, but some will still be the dumbass mob character everyone loves to kill... or torture(tho I wouldn't recommend the torture for obvious reasons).]
The Eternal One: 0%
= This path is more for a goody two shoes MC. Here you will be loved and respected by all you come cross. This is for the MC that will beat the living shit out of anyone (including Christos) but will spare and forgive them. [This path all the gods will bow and follow the MC into life or death situations.]
Hope that answers that.
Question 9:
Oh, yes! Most certainly. This will be the character development phase plus introduction to the Romances. Book 2 will be where the romance with the love interests truely blooms(plus some possible fade to black scenes if you don't want anything explicit) and the final battle takes place. Book 1 is merely growth phase for a MC that has been entombed most of their life. So they need a bit of living before thinking about death encountering situations.
Question 10:
Ok I won't spoil to much about The Empty. But I will say that it is your MC's personal domain so it's their own little(?) Sand box. As for if Christos touched it... Not a chance. Christos fears that place more than anything. That's why he had to trick the MC to come out of it so he could seal the MC away. Because in The Empty the MC isn't just omnipotent they are Supreme, like I mean they OP as shit. As to whether it is a forbidden zone. I'd say not really... it's more of if you go there don't expect to come back really. Only Althaia and Mrithun can enter there safely. And they have never told anyone what is there. (As for what it looks like and what is there... you will get to decide at the end of book 1.)

Ch.44 Review: OP is mad at Garden
(Analysis also posted on Wise HQ, feel free to chat with us over there! 🤍🖤🤍)
My my, we have a lot to unpack this week.
Again, forgive me if I say something that someone else has said, I usually work to bring something new/original to the discussion but since the hivemind is so strong it's possible we'll have the same ideas lmao''
First, I'd like to talk about our new mysterious character: The Shopkeeper.
I'm already missing Bluw's design because the assassin granny was just the best, but I can say that Endo's choice was very interesting this time. Since I'm not sure if the Shopkeeper has confirmed pronouns, I'll be using they/them when referring to them. What stands out to me about them at first is that they're, apparently, non-white and if I had to make bets, I'd say Endo wanted to code them as Indian/Middle-Eastern, considering the deep eyebags and the collar of the shirt. If we wanted to go even further, I'd dare to point out their garden doesn't look very Western to me. I don't have words to describe it well, but this garden has a more "busy", crowded and stuffy feeling when compared to western gardening styles, which usually have a lot of open areas with grass. Also, we can see that tower/turret thing at the background that has a more Indian architecture feel to it, so Idk, either Endo put a lot of depth into this character or I am reading too much into it as always lel'. If any Indian / Middle-Eastern folk can confirm or debunk my analysis of fictional gardens, please feel free to hit me up at the DMs~~
About Shopkeeper's opinion on Yor's marriage, I can't say I'm surprised about them not being 100% on board with it and how it affected her job, but it intrigues me how apparently (as Tare pointed out on Discord based on the Indonesian translation) Yor presented this as a real deal and not a scam marriage purely for hiding her Thorn Princess persona. If the Shopkeeper knew it wasn't real, they wouldn't be so worried about "testing" Yor as soon as they met, right? Maybe they're being overly cautious, who knows, but it fills me with all the sad/fluff feelings the thought that Yor presented her family as a real one to a person she shouldn't have to hide anything about, considering her job should be top priority. And talking about hiding stuff...
Garden is with the Mob... And I don't know what to say about it lol'
I had my theories they were still legal to some extent and part of a shadow government that had the official one as a puppet, but their involvement with the Mob makes things kinda tricky (we can also imagine the Gretcher organization is anti-Westalis as well but still...). In a way, I think I'm still right, otherwise I doubt Yor's manager at City Hall would be involved with this as well, so I still stand by my Legal Garden flag.
However, Yor's principles here also make me throw fire at my planning boards because sweetie, this is the f*cking Mafia. To what extent goes the gray morality of Garden and their underlings? Shopkeeper does say the Gretchers have controlled Ostania's underworld in "an honorable fashion". Just what does it mean? To shed the less blood possible? To not allow petty criminals go rampage? Or just eliminate every single enemy in the radar so now they finally managed their revenge in killing the male heirs? There's too much going on here, help.
I would also like to dedicate a minute to our new favorite milf.
God, I am going to simp for Olka hard, I bet on it. She's so pretty, just look at her! Also, sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but while I really crave some mothers bonding time between her and Yor, I have a feeling this lady will be very evil when the time comes. She shouldn't trust nobody at this point, so if there's a moment if she has to sell out Yor, even knowing she has a family of her own at the ship, I feel like she'll do it in a heartbeat, in a twisted way of showing how far a mother's love goes for their children. Again, guys, she's a Cool Mom, but she's also Mafia. Endo already has shown to not pity these gray characters with angsty pasts, so I can see this is as a good opportunity to stop this soft filter / romantization in Yor's lines of work and show what Garden really stands for.
Now, finally, the start of this chapter and arc: Yor.
Gosh, I'm worried. I'm worried for Yor and I'm worried about having too many feelings about a fictional character a.k.a Yor.
During all this time, we were under the impression Yor enjoyed her job due this sense of duty
towards her country, making it even with how it brought her a comfortable life when she was younger and had to care for Yuri. We could even point out that she enjoyed being the Thorn Princess so much she was willing to be part of a scam marriage to appear more normal and not call the attention of authorities.
However, now we see that's not all of it and apparently her worries about Yuri were the very main reason she took this life, to the point that now she realizes Yuri has a life of his own, she doesn't feel the need to do this kind of work anymore. Did she truly feel comfortable with it in the first place? The fact that she "needs to get her motivation" for it truly bugs me and makes me wonder how much of her mental state was sacrificed over these years until she got used to the killing. And while we're on the mood for angst, let's talk about a (not very plausible) scenario in which this is her last job and she manages to leave Garden. Then what is the point of their fake family? It appears to me her new most important matter is Loid and Anya and she wants to put them to safety by not being an assassin anymore, but it still worries me she'd feel out of place somehow, which is a shame because we can really see how she wants to spend real moments with them without worrying about work. Grrr, Endo better treat my girl right or else he'll get these online fists (9`へ´*)9
Well, that's all for this week, let's get our hopes up for the next chapter!! ❤️
