you ever get off the wall angry looking up symptoms of “condition you fear you have” of the day and all symptoms are either “well if you have this you have to see a doctor IMMEDIATELY- or they’re unremarkable side effects of having a female reproductive system”
that and the time I was trying to research diseases for some writing, because I wanted to see how a vagina/uterus would react, and ALL I could find was “…. You mean during pregnancy, right? You want to know what will happen to a baby, yes?”
no cunt, I want to know what will happen to someone with an uterus when all other internal organs go haywire

Just to be clear, I don't completely hate Peeta. He's not one of my favorite characters, but he does have some good moments and qualities. It isn't all his fault, even though I can be harsh.
Mostly, I kinda resent him because I do not like any kind of romance for Katniss. I understand the value of the romance and love triangle for publicity and market value, but we can all see how it took away a bit from the meat of the story, the brilliant social commentary. It feels so meta, Katniss faking the romance for Sponsors is a 1:1 for the emphasis on the romance in HG publicity for readers or viewers.
And the debt-focused attitude that drives Katniss to help him feels uncomfortable. His weird comments during the Games don't help, but again, he is buying her act. He doesn't know that she feels obligated for all but one or two kisses and intimate moments because of her understanding with Haymitch about the sponsors. He's awkward and thinks she likes him, so maybe he doesn't really understand how creepy it can look to someone who knows Katniss's inner monologue.
And the MJ epilogue just grinds my gears so much. As a woman who has never wanted kids and never will, I was just disappointed by Peeta winning Katniss over, getting her to change her mind about it. I would love a story where the female protagonist who doesn't want kids actually doesn't have kids.

I think girls should get more used to seeing their natural faces, and understand that they’re not slobs for not wearing any makeup

There's something I find hilarious about this perjorative korean incels (and honestly just about any korean website whose userbase tend to lean male; the incel problem is depressingly widespread and normalized here) use for non-misogynist men, "스윗남 (pronounced "sweet-nam")", that translates literally to "Sweet Man".
Like, that's just objectively not a bad thing to be??? Sorry that guys who actually respect women and have actual personalities get more pussy than you, bro. Maybe if you were a better person you'd get laid more.
It's just so embarrassingly obvious that they're just seething in jealousy 😂
EDIT: a TERF reblogged this so here's a reminder that trans women are women, trans men are men, and punching down at a group of fellow marginalized people who are *also* oppressed by the cisheteropatriarchal gender roles will not free us from the patriarchy.

diversity win! I think asian men look androgynous
hi anon, the post you're referring to is a beautiful painting of the fictional character goro majima from the yakuza (like a dragon) series, who, as one of the many personas he inhabits, becomes goromi, a gender swapped version of himself. goromi in-game is a bit silly (with a touch of dated transphobia as well) but is taken legitimately at points. you can flirt with her at a host club in-game, which is played pretty straight! the yakuza fandom has generally turned this caricature on its head, and now i post about goromi because i like turning men into women for sexual reasons. thanks for giving me the opportunity to talk about one of my favorite characters !!!

"I want comments and people to talk to me and reblogs!!"
Okay, but. But real question. Are you friendly? Actually? Or are you a dickhead to people when you assume the worse of them? Are you condescending when explaining things?
Do you go out of your way to comment on other people's things? No?
I remember as a new user being absolutely turned off from commenting and reblogging because everyone assumed I came at them with the worse possible intentions. I have a lot of formative memories that really cemented that I will never interact with anyone outside of my niches. Ever.
I get why a lot of users don't comment/reblog on random peoples posts. It's because a lot of you have made it an unfriendly and overwhelming environment. A lot of people complain that reblog culture is dead but will go out of their way to pick on commentary they don't like and harrass others instead of hit the block button. Like y'all ruined it for everyone and then have the audacity to act like it's the viewers fault

I was commenting about how being in jp in the summer was starting to further contextualize office work culture because as hot and humid as it was, I still saw office workers in full suits, jackets and all (INSANE???) and my friend was like ‘oh yeah but recently some companies have started doing a ‘cool biz’ thing where in the summer the dress code for men is less strict, they’re allowed to wear short sleeves. because companies wanted to spend less on air conditioning’ not moved by the suffering of your fellow man but moved by cost-cutting huh… and a chunk of them are still out in jackets

And God,
please let the deer
on the highway
get some kind of heaven.
Something with tall soft grass
and sweet reunion.
Let the moths in porch lights
go some place
with a thousand suns,
that taste like sugar
and get swallowed whole.
May the mice
in oil and glue
have forever dry, warm fur
and full bellies
if i am killed
for simply living,
let death be kinder
than man.

I'm not going to be tone policed on how I talk about any subject whether it personally affects any of you or not. I am certainly not going to be persuaded to speak more kindly to my oppressors and/or direct political opponents because they are personally affected by the issue I'm talking about.
Some of y'all are letting the female socialization that demands we be kind and considerate at the expense of ourselves (& our social movements) push you right into sugar coating important topics and out of being an effective communicator.

And on the topic of "kidnapping fantasies as the female fantasy", i'm watching My happy marriage rn (i count it as research bc it's set during the Meiji period. Don't look at me), and it's honestly. That is the hetero female fantasy, isn't it. It's like a Cinderella story where a lucky marriage is what saves the girl from a life of abuse and underappreciation (<- and this is something that women have always dealt with, that I also deal with, you are expected to clean, cook, birth and raise children, but none of it actually gets acknowledged as the hard work that it is, even without abuse in the picture, this is simply how life for women in hetero relationships too often is). But it's also that fantasy of "this guy is cold and mean and cruel... but not with me. He cares about me. I am that special, that deserving of love, that this cruel and cold man decided I would be the person he respects and adores"
You know? You know. It's actually an interesting topic, bc fantasies like that aren't born in a vacuum, sure, but it's fascinating to look at possible causes. I still have no idea why the "guy who's mean to everyone except me" is so popular (especially when we know that the best way to gauge a guy's potential for actually being cruel to you is how he treats other people - he can easily be "kind" to you until he thinks you've been trapped, but he might not think to hide his cruelty from people he deems below him, unattractive women, staff at various establishments, etc etc), but it's just so widespread that it makes me wonder often.
