REALLY well #5 - I stare at her all the time… she is stunning. she writes great poems. soft spoken in this incrediblyyyyy endearing way #I worked up the courage to talk to her n get her number for WEEKS!!!! and then. nothing lol #6 - he’s a great conversationalist… and I know he’s single….. but he also likes Quentin Tarantino like. abnormal amounts idk #shit . my neutral dragon age trait is that 50% of the time i'm like "the more i critique the games, the more i love them. i can appreciate each game for what they are but my criticism and frustration over what they could be are a sign of love" and the other 50% is like "this is the writing of the dragon age series. sure. why not. this may as well happen."

#post inspired by seeing a post where someone was asking a blog like 'hey ive only played veilguard what is a mage circle'#50% biting the bars of my cage over the way lore/plot/priorities have shifted and changed over time #50% along for the ride #but on that first point: looking at the plot of veilguard (stopping solas/elgar'nan and ghilan'nain)#im not surprised the mage/templar shit wasn't a big deal #and honestly any frustration i have with that is more so aimed at dai #bc dai was what first reduced the mage/templar war to 'here are some assholes fighting in the woods'#however.#objectively WILD that someone could play ur whole ass game and not know what mage circles/templars are #and then the confusion over an elven rook's backstory is honestly just laughable to me like akjdsjkdf #theyre dalish but they also lived in a town and if they're a mage they also studied somewhere #like. honestly imo not a big issue but like. a simple dialogue choice could've solved this.#it's so funny to me bc it's ridiculous but also. bring back ambient dialogue choices.#like tldr though #i super enjoyed veilguard and i appreciated it for what it did #and while not perfect. i'm a sucker for a story about friends and bonds.#and i think as an interpersonal story it works really well #and i can at the very least respect the writers/devs making the game not as open world #even though i do miss that a lot (as well as talking to ur companions mechanics)#however. the detachment from previous lore is definitely jarring.#not that i think veilguard needed to be about (for instance) the mages and templars #and honestly im happy we got companions that felt unique #bc i was getting real tired of 'here are the elves who hate each other. here is the one who doesnt trust mages'#etc etc etc #and getting to see all these factions was really nice too (though in a perfect world we'd have a legit origin quest imo)#but even just. some kind of way to bring in prev lore #tldr 2 i have my frustrations with the narrative arc as a whole and find them fun to talk abt #but sometimes im just like. it already happened. it's already written.#i will think abt what could've been while also just having fun w/ what i got #final tldr 3 i think dragon age is just the one series that im not always itching to meta essay on LMAOOO

with a few minutes' reflection and a second conversation with my parents I have realized that I may have overblown things and overreacted a bit and also in some ways they're correct even if I think they're also harsh about it

#we talked it out. i don't think they intended to be hurtful they're just trying to make me see how badly my pessimism #can impact others?? I think all three of us were pissed off during the first conversation #there's a lot of other stuff going on behind the scenes too that I don't want to talk about #but like. my parents aren't total jerks. when we aren't all being belligerent to each other we get along quite well #and I really do respect them quite a lot. some days we Do Not do well at Being A Good Family though #my dad did say that he's seen people apparently cringe away from me when I'm acting annoyed though #which... may honestly be true. I have a very readable face and if I'm upset people tend to notice #I just... I talked to them again and realized that I took that one thing to mean ''everyone hates you and is just pretending to be nice''#idk if I agree about what my mom says about me bringing a Vibe that brings the whole room down #I think that one may just be because she's so used to me complaining to her about everything bc I... do actually complain too much #but anyway. we resolved the argument. my initial ''my parents told me everyone dislikes me'' was uh... MY inference #and not actually the words they said #I also think I should stop complaining online so much. it's just letting the complaining spirit grow #re: my last post

Seeing your reblog about Kant hate just after a dumb comment on how "the reason the audience have a hard time connecting to Kant is because the relationship with Babe isn't shown so the whole deal with the cops didn't felt understandable and it's even more stupid now because he is willing to risk his life for Bison so he don't care about babe" was needed! It made me feel better. Lol the whole "what about babe, now you don't care" is so dumb. Now he is in love with bison so he'll do anything for him the same way he did and would do for Babe. He just said to Bison they will not die so he isn't in the view of dying. Even if he is on the run he can still go see him when he'll be studying in secret. If babe need anything Kant would show up. And I'm sorry but if you don't have anything to say about fadel planning his disappearance with his boyfriend without a word to Bison when we know fadel was all he had and he hated that life, why are you talking about Kant babe relationship. Now everyone work together without lies and they still on Kant's neck because ?? 🤡

i haven't seen the comment you're talking about, but i have a bone to pick bc how was that not understandable? if people had at least a little bit of sympathy, and i mean, very little really, they would be able to understand kant's motivations from ep. 1! oh but it wasn't shown as much as fadelbison's relationship. as far as i'm aware babe is a supporting character, while fadelbison are both main, idk what else you want. but regardless, i believe it was in the first 30 minutes of this show that we see kant interacting with babe and in the next two scenes, his brother's well-being is being threatened by a cop. tell me how can you not understand that?

kant has lived his entire life for babe. babe is his younger brother and only family he has left. he deeply cares about his brother enough to become a car thief, a narc as we recently learned, and has been under the police's scrutiny to be able to give his brother a decent enough life until he graduates (which, btw, it's great. idk where some of you got the impression that independence is a bad thing to have and have that be supported by your parental figure, but even babe says he's taking the scholarship money so he won't have to depend on his brother's money anymore. this is an agreement between the two of them, they understand their circunstancies).

and at this point, i can't even remember who said that fadel when he was with his first boyfriend is very much like at the same point that bison is right now, yet we don't see people condemning fadel nearly as much as they do kantbison and we know it's because of bias. and see, i understand having favorites, i very clearly have mine, but we're going to ep 11 next week, we only got 2 more and then it's over. all four of them forgave each other in some degree bc they understand or are willing to do that. if you're persisting in your hate for no reason other than "ohh they didn't make him relatable or understandable enough", again, and i've said it before when kant hate got out of hand, you're dumb and you're watching the show with your eyes closed, because you might dislike him as a character, but saying he's not relatable or worth of your understanding just comes across as shallow.

PLEASSSSEEE DO ITS SO GOOD.. I have rly low expectations when it comes to marvel shows and mcu in general bc. I mean. yeah. but it’s rly good Agatha is such a Character. Tbh I’ve never seen a female character like her in anything before, and so that’s exciting to me too.

the only thing is if u do watch it u also. Kind of have to have watched Wandavision for it to make sense. But both series are only like 9 episodes and 40-30 min episodes

A lot of psychological horror.#Really well written (so is Agatha all along) imo #Both shows are really heavily centred on grief and trauma #Agatha is in Wandavision she gets a cute little villain song #I’ll admit I find the superpower cgi a bit stupid looking in both shows (less so in Agatha bc it fits into the setting better)#And I remember the way Wandavision ended bothered me. A lot of that may have been Agatha related and that might be cured now bc of her show #And knowing she’d get out of her mind prison #But overall yeah both shows are reallly good #Oh man and Kathryn Hahn is such a good actress #She really sells Agatha’s drama #And she’s so funny and also really attractive and idk sorry I’m fangirling #Honestly I’d recommend going straight into Agatha after Wandavision instead of waiting several years like I did #And then being really confused as to why we were in a trashy detective drama bc I’d forgotten that Aggie got trapped in a mind prison

both of her siblings got to have mentors and i think she could use an outlet to express herself as well as a positive adult figure to go to outside of her family

feeling really in my own head and Bad today but on a light note i got some cute compliments yesterday at the renfest so thats pretty cool

#.tlktxt #there was a group of people in really pretty outfits so i was like. omg i love your outfits theyre so cool #and an older gal towards the front was like 'omg thank you i was just about to say you look adorable' and that was pretty cool #guy at a stand selling like. little plastic roses said something along the lines of 'youre too beautiful for someone to not buy you a rose'#and that one was really sweet to me. conflicted cuz it was unsolicited but i mean i felt good about it. i like feeling like im pretty #also it was just really cool. i wanna prepare myself a better cooler outfit for next year #erm butt. anyways :p #maizie is trying to think about positives and not. like die. we are working on it #i dont feel pretty today but thats also bc like. im in severely regular clothes. and i just walked and im really sweaty #and i didnt quite get yesterdays makeup off that well so i just. have really bad dark circles around my eyes. uhhhhh but. anyways.#yesterday was really cool.
