#professor layton #some of these were hard. melina SUCKED bc it looks triangular w the picture provided but its more-so almond in the movie itself #but sometimes it looked like it was tethering on the edge of rectangular #I SWEAR theres more characters with almond eyes but. a lot of the images out there were bad quality #general rule of thumb i used is if it looks like i need to draw it in two strokes then its probably almond-shaped #by the way on a /srs note layton fandom has been absolutely amazing and everybody is generally super respectful and sweet #but this sheet is only meant as a “heres some cool patterns i noticed” and for those who want inspiration #if i see yall start to use this sheet as a weapon thats unacceptable and i will take this post down. fullstop #thats all :3c thank you!!

I always forget to draw him with it but I headcanon him having pretty bad burn scars on his right arm/side from the kinslaying

#silm #silmarillion #lotr #elrond #also hc that elros burned his left hand pulling elrond out of the fires #which is why elrond became a healer in the first place #even up to the third age he still has to rinse it w athelas water once in a while #bc maedhros' fire-fea may or may not have been making the fire a lot worse than it would have been naturally #hes not /actively/ influencing the fire but him just being there is not exactly helping the situation #elrond only really heals Shadow-wounds by the late TA #bc they have other healers for smaller stuff that dont necessarily need the attention of a part-maiarin legendary healer #and in the war of the ring theres enough people that he needs to focus on tending to the most grievously wounded #kind of like those super specialized surgeons #but hes actually better w burns #the first thing he healed was elros' burnt hand (with some help from maglors song he regained almost full use of it)#later he helped soothe maglor's silmaril burns #but during the war hes needed the most for treating the Shadow because hes like one of two people in the world who can properly use athelas #aragorn taking frodo to rivendell was basically like those cases when a patient gets helicoptered to a specific hospital #to see a specific surgeon about a really rare/difficult/dangerous procedure

i wish it wasn't so normal for people to complain about unfinished wips or fics that take a long time to update. because sometimes i think i have a really fun idea for a fic but it'd take a while for me to write, and i like talking about my work as i do it and i don't like writing entire fics over like 20k without sharing, because i lose steam. so if i were to write and post that cool fic idea, it'd be as a wip. and then i think about all the people who just refuse to engage with wips, or all the other people who would just go "update pls" all the time, and of how people only really comment in the first 24 hours something is posted and then it's lost to obscurity, and then i just go "actually whats the point in going through the effort writing this out? i'll just daydream about it now and then and be done with it." and then i don't write it. alas!

read through the shadow triad's quotes page again and i'm wondering why they (or at least, one of them bc they only say this once) still say "Lord N" in bw2. if they're all loyal to ghetsis they shouldn't really care about n since he was just ghetsis's pawn right? they could have been calling n lord in bw1 to keep up appearances that n is the true king of team plasma but they don't have to do that into the sequel. wondering exactly how loyal they are to n

on a related note they do Not say "Lord Ghetsis" until the second game, even after the reveal that ghetsis was using n. then, after ghetsis's defeat, they stop using the word lord again but call themselves "royal servants" which is interesting to me. i think its some kind of honor thing where ghetsis lost the privilege of being called lord in their eyes but they're still part of the kingdom he attempted to build and so they're royal. but then why Not call him lord ghetsis in bw1? the first time they refer to him by name is while they're still serving n, so that could again be keeping up appearances, and the rest of the times are after ghetsis is defeated so it could be the honor thing again?
