Sekke, being the boisterous and conceited person that he is, would constantly shower you with compliments and exaggerated tales of his accomplishments. He would go to great lengths to impress you, hoping for a few words of praise from you. Sure, he’s a charming man used to receiving compliments, but still, praise from you would mean a lot to him—it’d stroke his ego like crazy.

Unfortunately, I don’t see him shedding his flirtatious ways while he’s with you. If it becomes too much and you decide to address it, he starts feeling guilty. It seems ingrained in him; it’s like it runs in his blood. If it helps, his flirting is more about enjoying the blushes and compliments; he just wants the validation. His flirtatious remarks towards other women are never genuine—it's you who truly have his heart.

But despite his flirtatious nature, Sekke would be fiercely loyal to you. He may enjoy flirting with other women, but his heart forever belongs to you. He would see himself as the ultimate charmer and would constantly use his seductive moves and speeches to win you over, believing that he is the epitome of romanticism.

Sekke's ego will often get in the way of your relationship. He will always try to one-up you and prove that he is better in every aspect, from mundane activities to more serious matters. It’s not that he wants to prove he’s better than you; he just wants to impress you rrreeeaaalll bad. In short, Sekke would always strive to be the center of attention and the best in your eyes.

Sekke will defend you as if his entire past and future bloodline depends on it. If he witnesses someone picking on you, he'll step in without hesitation, possibly even resorting to bullying the offender. Unlike his usual charming demeanor when defending other women, he'll be genuinely furious. Because to him, you're not just any woman, you're his girlfriend—the one who’s got him completely head over heels. So, expect Sekke to clap back without hesitation.

Sekke's constant exclamation of “Fuhha!” in every situation could easily become a defining phrase in your relationship. It might sound amusing, but he says it so frequently that you might find yourself adopting it as a catchphrase too. And if you do, he'd be over the moon! It's like you're picking up his habits, and he couldn't be any more flattered and happier about it.

Sekke's conceited nature would never fade away, even in a relationship. He would always think highly of himself and constantly remind you of his supposed greatness. His ego might be a source of amusement for you, and you would have to navigate through his constant boasting and self-aggrandizement. However, you would also come to realize that underneath his inflated ego lies a deep-seated insecurity.

I think that his constant need to prove himself and his fear of being seen as weak would often manifest as defensive behavior and exaggerated tales of his own prowess. As his partner, you’d play a crucial role in helping him overcome his insecurities and see his true value beyond his outward bravado. Sometimes you may get fed up with him because of his defensive behavior, but please have patience with him. Even if he doesn’t say it outwardly, it’d mean a lot to him if you stuck with him and comforted him when his insecurities kicked in.

Despite his flaws, Sekke would have a tender and caring side. He may not always express it openly, but he will go out of his way to make you feel special and loved. He would plan extravagant dates and surprise you with thoughtful gestures, all in an attempt to prove his worth and devotion. And yes, the dates would be very dramatic and maybe overly romantic and cheesy, but you love him anyway because he’s Sekke.

Sekke is anything and everything but subtle when it comes to expressing his love for you. Be prepared for public declarations of affection, whether he's shouting his love from a rooftop or crafting a beautiful bronze statue of you with his Bronze Magic and showing it off to everyone. Though his way of expressing his love for you can often be over the top, you understand it's all part of his endearing personality. And you love it.

He would also sometimes use his Bronze Magic to create a bronze that’s literally himself and give it to you with a smug smile on his face—like he’s just done you a huge favor—and then say something like, “Keep it close, so that whenever your eyes meet its radiant form, you shall be reminded of my undying devotion and presence in your life!”

Even with his occasional cowardly tendencies, Sekke would develop a protective streak toward you. He may not be the strongest Magic Knight, but he will go to great lengths to ensure your safety and well-being. Trust me when I say that Sekke learns to be brave when it truly matters. You see a side of him that's willing to face danger head-on to protect you, proving that beneath the bravado, there's a heart of gold.

Overall, being in a relationship with Sekke would definitely require patience and understanding. But trust, he’s an absolute sweetheart at heart and will do anything to prove his immense love for you. <3

Hiya Luce! Yep i’m still accepting requests for the salty ask game, and I apologize this took me a bit, I kind of went on a rant for number 19! Also I answered two of these for Black Clover and two for FFVII! I hope you enjoy!

4 Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?*

I’ve answered this a couple of times for BC already and I don’t feel like repeating myself again so I’m going with FFVII this time 😆; and my biggest NoTP is Cloud x Aerith, and yes they are a very popular OTP 😅. I just really like them as friends, family, or platonic soulmates whose love is different then that of romantic partners love! Also right behind that is Zack x Tifa and thats because it feels like people are just “pairing the spares” 😔.

(As I always say; if you ship these ships then good for you, and I fully support you in loving these ships!)

9 Most disliked character(s)? Why?

Hmm…in Black Clover? I guess aside from the usual suspects (Sekke, Auggie, Alecdora, etc) it would have to be; Jester, Sally, and Damnatio.

Jester…I like him in fanon, but dislike him in canon. In canon he’s annoying to me and not in a fun and “gremlin” way like in fanon (or at least, in mine and my mutuals fanon 😆). I really just didn’t vibe with him in the movie and couldn’t wait for him to disappear 😔.

Sally is also more of a “i don’t vibe with them”. She’s just very…extra? But not in a good way. And imo she takes things too far and comes off as annoying like Jester. I’ve tried to like her, i really have, but she just doesn’t vibe with me at all.

Damnatio is amazing in fanon! But in canon? He comes across as a bit…boring when compared to other characters in the series, at least to me. Maybe it’s intentional on Tabs part, or maybe its because we don’t see him very much, but to me he is very blah and uninteresting as a character (even tho his magic is kind of cool)!

12 Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesn’t? Why?

Hmm…I guess the Devil Believer arc in BC? Thats really the only unpopular arc i can think of 😅. To me the concepts and ideas it introduces are interesting (such as showing us what happened on the ground during the elf invasion, showing us directly how those with very low mana are treated in the country, etc;) even tho they weren’t executed very well. I feel like that arc had/has a lot of potential in it, so I do enjoy it despite its many…many, many faults!

19 What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

Since there isn’t anything in the BC fandom that I hate, I’ll go with another fandom that I lurk in which is FFVII! The thing I hate most about it is the toxicity, ship wars, and character hate!

My poor mutuals have had to hear me complain about it many times recently, but its just…so freaking bad rn! I’m trying to find cute art, fics, and headcanons but instead all I see are people arguing about song lyrics, words and meanings and context in scenes, and even going as far as to threaten and argue with the writers and developers of the game (hell and even some going as far as to argue and threaten streamers and gamers over their freaking fan theories)😭! Like I get it, this happens in every big fandom, but maybe its because I’ve been in a small one for so long…but this is just a bit much and kind of took a lot of the joy I had for the game away (There is a lot of good and fun in the fandom too, its just a little harder to find these days)!

And the ship wars are just, really, really terrible (it doesn’t help that they’ve been going on for nearly 30 years!)! Again, I understand this is in every big fandom with a bunch of popular ships, but really is it that hard to scroll past or block and ignore 😭?? I just don’t see the point in arguing about them; you like what you like, i like what I like, and let’s just agree to disagree! This is another one of those “I’ve been in a small fandom too long” because most of the mutuals and people I follow either scroll past when they see a ship they don’t like, or they go “I may not like it, but I see how much you do, and I support you in that!”.

The character hate…*sigh* again, I get it and I know not everyone is going to like the same characters…but there comes a point where its too much! When you have to mischaracterize them completely, or point to scenes that the writers have gone back and changed/retconned/removed in order to “prove how much of a terrible character they are”, or you have to focus on this one “terrible thing” that particular character did while ignoring the terrible things that other characters did…just shows me that you’re willing to make up whatever you want in order to excuse your useless hate for that character! (You can literally just go; “eh I don’t vibe with them/they’re not my cup of tea” and leave it at that 😭!!)!

3: that encompasses my style

I don't know what my style is fhdjkkjfds. I'd guess it's stupid dialogues. I do love my stupid dialogues.

Here's a random stupid bit involving mayonnaise in Prince Sekke:

They had been reading for a little over an hour when a quiet “oops” was heard from Leopold. They all raised their eyes. Only to find that there was now mayonnaise on Clover’s original copy of the marital code. “Leopold.” Leonard said harshly. Leopold looked like he was going to cry. “You Vermillions did not just drop mayonnaise on our marital code,” Nozel said. “Didn’t I say that these weren’t copies?” It was unclear if he was trembling from all the caffeine or from fear at this point. “Who cares about one page of this thousands of pages long marital code anyway?” Mereoleona asked. “It can’t be that important.” “Solid,” Nozel said, ignoring Mereoleona’s comment. “A small, very small, amount of water to wash the mayonnaise away if you may.” “That will make the paper wet. The sheet will wrinkle,” Solid noted. “We can’t return the document as is,” Nozel explained. “It’s more plausible that there would be water in the archive room than mayonnaise. Wash the mayonnaise away Solid,” Nozel said with a sigh. “Can’t we just make the paper disappear?” Solid said as he realized that the fate of the Vermillions and the Silvas was now in his inexperienced hands. “We can’t erase part of our law just because of mayonnaise,” Nozel decided. “What about using regular water?” Leonard asked. “Regular water is wetter,” Nozel said. “Water is wet no matter what,” Nebra deadpanned. “Magic water fades quicker,” Mimosa said. “So regular water is, technically, wetter,” Noelle said. “Are we sure about that?” Leopold and Solid chorused. “Anyway, it’s easier to control the flow of magic water,” Nozel said decidedly.

14: that was out of my comfort zone

I don't often get out of my comfort zone: I know what I like writing and how, and I stick to it... I guess a few of my angstpril fics are out of my comfort zone fhdksh. First-person or second-person povs this month! (if I ever manage to finish them huh).

But anyway, there's this Dahlia-centric thing in second-person pov I put out last angstpril. I like it a lot!

I was born in a family where your worth is decided by a genetic lottery. Where you are tested from the moment you can walk. Where the worthless are discarded without a second thought while the lucky winners are raised to the clouds. Where hard work doesn’t pay off but where you’ll slave away regardless. Where they’ll look at you and say ‘you didn’t feel that?’ before smiling a sorry smile and telling you it’s okay when it really, really isn’t.

25: that i consider a favorite

Every time I wonder what fic of mine is my favorite I shortcircuit but... there is what even is football anyway (Ao Ashi). It was my first non BC fic I published so that tells you how special it is. I love it so much.

Noriko knows just how much Ashito resembles her, and often, she wishes he didn’t. She recognizes his passion, she recognizes that ironic tunnel vision he gets when he’s absorbed into something. She’s the same. She forgets everyone around her. She neglects everyone around her. And she pretends it doesn’t hurt her, she doesn’t need anyone, she can do it all alone because she has that one thing she is absorbed in and can do. Must do. It's a sense of duty born from love and passion. It's an all-consuming nightmare you choose to live every day. You wouldn't have it any other way.

Hmm... Okay, so right from the beginning I thought him to be quite annoying. I don't exactly know why, but he just... Has a very punchable face /lh. And his attitude of staying near Asta at the trial to try an make himself look better rubbed me the wrong way. As in, sure, I get why he did that, but it made him look like someone who likes to scheme.

And eventually he did become someone who gets by via happenings in a comical manner. So he's a bit of an antihero, and a comical relief. Or, well, he's intended as a comical relief. I just don't find him particularly entertaining.

But also, considering how Sekke has seemed to be in a lot of right places at a right time, while trying to run away from responsibilities, I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to do just that during this final arc as well. Hell, he might just end up becoming the WK because of it. Or just King Clover.

Would it be sustainable?

No.

But is there a tiny chance of Tabs going with it just for the laughs? Yes.

However, I do think that the chance is so small that there is no real danger of it taking place.

Actually, Sekke is one of those characters whose purpose I really don't see. He just is there. Not for anyone's character development. Not for any bigger purpose. He just... exists, things happen and he winds up to situations. So, I dislike him, and I don't see a reason for him, plot wise, to be there.

But people get a laugh out of him generally speaking, which is fine. And considering how there are a lot of heavy topics in BC, I can understand Tabs wanting to put one more source of comical relief into the manga, along with everything else. Though... I have had to wonder if that is going to be Sekke's overall purpose in BC, because we see him relatively often. He's kinda like the Squirrel from Ice Age. Though I like the squirrel more.

Overall, I don't think I have a lot to say about him. I just, personally, don't really like him 😅

Connie is a commoner born with a lot of energy. She loves to laugh and play physical games. It made sense that she manifested rubber magic because her parents would describe her as a child that bounced off the walls. Her parents were too burnt out to entertain Connie's constant need to play.

One day it reached a breaking point and her parents blew up at her, saying hurtful things. They called her annoying and wished she was born a normal girl. Connie ran away from home and broke down crying in the woods. Her cries drew the attention of a massive wild beast. She used her rubber magic to defend herself but was running low on mana. Before it could harm her, it was sliced up by Captain Jack. Jack was out hunting and thanked her for crying so loud so it was easier to track down his game. His Vice Captain Amiris wasn't too far behind him trying to get him to come back to work. Amiris was attentive to Connie and gave her the reassurance she needed to go back home. Connie apologized to her parents for running away and decided to focus her playful energy on training her magic. The same year she was awarded a grimoire was the same year she went for the Magic Knights Exam. She passed and chose the Green Mantises because she was starstruck by Captain Jack. Connie deeply admires Vice Captain Amiris who she refers to as "senpai" when not in a formal setting. Amiris and her older squadmate En treat her as if she were their younger sister and soothe her whenever she gets too overzealous. She spent a lot of time tormenting Sekke before he became the king's assistant. During the Royal Knight exam, she set her eyes on Luck Voltia as a new playmate. They hit it off and eventually realized they were more than friends.
