i think at the end of the day, everyone has come to this is one way or another because of the things we want to experience, to have, to feel and see in our lives, in the world around us. but do not forget “yourself”

the you that is playing the role of [insert your name here lol]

sometimes we are so focused on the outside, and so swamped by the hard emotions that may accompany that

maybe you struggle with anxiety or other mental health issues, maybe youre disappointed with the society in which you live, maybe you really dislike a lot of things about your experience, even hate them

but we forget that within all of this, while focusing so much on how to change the world around us, we could easily change ourselves too using these same methods

imagine yourself without so many anxieties, or see yourself in harmony with your surroundings, etc etc

maybe if youve refused to do this until now, that’s why youre still here

because sometimes we can manage the world to budge, but if you still refuse to, still complaining about the same things or seeing the world in the same painful way, well you’ll never escape that because it lives within you, and thats, of course, the real you

maybe start with yourself for a change, and those more painful feelings you havent been able to shake. stop trying to force in love, when youre still so full of hate. trying to force in abundance, when you cling to scarcity. trying to force in happiness, when youre addicted to melancholy. etc etc

instead, dare to be different. dare to focus on changing YOU, before anything else. who are you being?

if you can still relate to yourself from the past, the you from all these years pasts that youve merely survived and haven’t truly lived, that’s your sign for why youre still stuck

the past you should feel like a ghost, a long ago memory, a past life, another dream

and if doesn’t, if you can still deeply relate to the you who youve tried to escape, thats why youre still here, reading, wondering, and trying.

if youre someone who loves to read about how you dont really need to change, you just need to do this or that thing and it’ll all change for you, and it still hasnt. well… maybe this is your sign to finally do what you’ve avoided.

It's so interesting and so exceedingly frustrating how agab is being utilized now within the queer community as a way to isolate and sort nonbinary and genderqueer folks into binary boxes that determine their moral purity levels, and their authority to do and write and exist.

The way nonbinary writers are being put under accusation of fetishizing gay men while their AGAB is continually brought up in a way that feels like queer-space-approved misgendering.

The way feminist circles that are supposedly trans-inclusive will use the word AFAB in a way that implicitly but intentionally isolates nonbinary people who aren't AFAB from joining. It's for women*.

The way the language is already flawed and leaves out intersex folks from the conversations while focusing on a binary of sex that isn't truthful.

The constant obsessing over whether someone is AFAB or AMAB and whether or not that gives them the privilege to join, do, write, or be present in certain spaces really really concerns me. How are we supposed to dismantle a binary system of gender if we can't even move past forcibly assigning and focusing on people's genders assigned at birth?

BIGGEST thing about Moe history is that for Literally Actual Years. I have been trying SO hard to get a beach outfit for it Right. I always had some aspects of it in mind (the white cover-up -- initially sheer, but I like the idea that it's a light shawl kinda like Lyon's, here). But a lot of my designs felt too feminine. Moe is about Balance. Moe is about Mishmash. Moe is about The Silly Factor. It's also unexpectedly practical and loves questionable fashion choices.

All this in mind! I think its Look really came together when I decided to give it some sporty touches. I esp love the wet shoes... and the visor works so well on it?? The little fish skeleton is a handmade accessory (not actual bones.), like its "tail" in its everyday outfit. I imagine it's jointed/maybe chain linked, so it has some movement to it! The skeleton adds a bit of edge it always has, and ALMOST. Gives a manta ray silhouette paired with the shawl (most noticeable in the topmost art! Didn't set out to do that, but when I noticed this I ran w it LMFAOO)

Okay, so hear me out:

The showrunners have made this the Buck & Bucky Show and made all the changes or narrative choices with the result of (at times, purposefully) sacrificing both authenticity and storytelling for a guaranteed, uber-shippable pair who will compensate for any criticism against the show by drawing in a solid number of people interested in watching the two gorgeous leads make eyes at and sacrifice for each other. That's why they're purposefully going with (what looks like it's going to be) a very typical "I'll stall, you go, save yourself!!" situation compared to the boring truth* of one of them being put in charge of security on the march.

*Lies!! IMO there is SO MUCH nuance to Egan being unable to run away from the march with Cleven simply bc he had the responsibility of military order and leadership to deal with.

They were still Created, just not by Auberon and Abaddon. Soft system I'm always tweaking but the ranking goes

- Major gods (Auberon/Abaddon)

- Minor gods (created by fallen scales of major gods)

Then at the bottom is

- Neo gods (Fictional gods & minor gods who lack sapience)

The Godless species, chimera/demons, grimms and werewolves are all created by minor gods but the circumstances are what class them as godless.

Grimms killed their minor God because they are staunchly anti religion and didn't want to fall into blind worship of their mother. Werewolves immmm still figuring out.

And chimera's minor God was never known, it wasn't sapient and wouldn't have been classed as a valid minor God if it was public and not limited to a specific catacomb. Need to tweak all this too but basically it Died and chimera emerged from the earth that they used to live under, horrifying the world ect. They're an extreme outlier in how species normally arrive to the world and speculations on where they came from run rampant, the most popular being the idea of a third major God who is responsible for all corruption in the world ect. Bc they don't have a God they also often create neo religions which is looked down upon.

Pretty much all the setting boils down to is if you have a bragging for existing and if the thing that made you can vouch for it. Chimera, grimm, werewolves and the ocean are considered physically Not part of the world as a whole because they either never had a creator in the worlds eye or have outright rejected the one they did have, or adopted a neo religion which is considered akin to rejecting the physical truth of the world. Ect
