Tim and Danny are apart of an online RPG which is basically DND but anonymous and online. (it’s mainly for secret nerds who don’t have anyone irl to play with)

Danny plays as a changeling rogue who will often swipe things from players they don’t like

Tim plays a Variant Human, monk who wields a pole staff (my guy is not subtle) and will often give back the things danny (who’s known as wraith) (Tim goes by Scarlet Redpoll (mainly just Scarlet though)) stole

Rules of the RPG:

Everyone remains under their game handle (so there’s no doxing) NO REAL NAMES

You can interact with other parties who are using the same campaign as you, however when interacting with main story plot your party will go into its own private server

You can have a party of any size however it’s recommended to have a party over 4.. However you can make it with two or three or solo (but that’s just kinda sad..)

There is a chat feature and call feature in the game, however no hate speech, or bigotry

You can’t join a call unless your apart of the party

ofc this doesn’t stop it from happening but that’s not really relevant to the story

There are Dms (dungeon masters) but your team can also just use the computer for your Dm

Your character can be completely customized, and you’ll move around on a map

Ok now to the fun stuff

Danny and Tim (Wraith and Scarlet) have been playing together for about 3 months, and have made a commitment to play every 2 weeks on sunday (ghosts tend to take a break every 2 weeks on sundays (and B forced Tim to take a break from everything including cases every 2 weeks on sunday) Although sometimes each will get pulled away from the game and they’ll have to end early.

Anyways their campaign doesn’t super matter, only that they are online friends. Ok so one day Tim texts Wraith (they use online name bc y'know tim’s like uber famous) that he can’t make it to their session today bc his dad is forcing him to “bond” Aka he’s going to a gala with Bruce and Dick to stop a heist team that has been rampant across socialite and high society events. Wraith tells him it’s alright, and that coincidentally he’s busy too and was just about to cancel.

As Tim surveils everyone he curses Bruce for making him come. Tim had gotten into the habit of getting a night off from everything. He’d also not gotten a chance to do ample research on the guests beforehand because he’d been working on researching the thieves. He’d heard some chatter about the group looking into a possible haunted vahz, that was on display for the night. Tim had been surveying the party staying near the vahz making sure everyone checked out. Dick had texted saying that he’d cornered a possible thieving candidate and that he needed Tim to run an face ID check, on the picture he’d taken. The photo was of a young woman, her red hair caused Tim to think of Babs, but the woman’s simple teal evening dress couldn’t be further from her style. He’d done a quick search of the woman, she seemed to be some sort of rich young socialite, definitely Dicks type.. Her name was Kelly Jankins, no criminal history, or past arrests, she had a couple of parking tickets that were waved from her late teens. But nothing out of the ordinary. Tim texted Dick the information (save for the part about her being Dicks type) before stuffing his phone back into his pocket and moving from his post to go and get a drink. About 20 feet from his post he bumped into a nicely dressed guy, his hair black and suit tailored.. He also wore a Vladco pin on his left breast pocket.

He’d apologized and Tim told him it was no big deal, his eyes were blue.. But he could have sworn they were green when he first looked up. And his voice.. It sounded so familiar. Why did it sound familiar..?

As Tim walked away it hit him like a truck.. Wraith.

Danny, Sam, Tucker, and Jazz had been stealing for some time now, after Danny had been outed as Phantom to the whole town by his parents. Him, Sam, and Tucker had decided to all leave Amity since all of their parents were unaccepting.. Sam’s parents had gone so far as to write her out of their will.. Danny had told her and Tuck to stay in Amity and fix their relationships with their family, but they’d both said ‘that if Danny wasn’t in Amity Park then they didn’t have their family.’ So they left. The three stayed with Jazz for a bit but she was a broke college student that barely had enough money for food and rent. So the three started stealing food.. It was out of necessity at first, and only from big companies, but when Sam got an online invitation to a big gala that was showing off some old artifacts from a rich guy’s private collection, Danny felt a pull toward a particular item from his core. The item belonged to someone in the ghost zone.. and he needed to have it. He needed to return it.

So they stole it. Danny was to be Sam’s plus one as he’s basically a haunted item metal detector. Sam would steal the item and Tuck would turn out the lights and secretly system. Then Danny would get him and Sam out of there. Most of their plans would be similar to this format. Sam would also grift from the other patrons, only stealing from the ones who seemed to have a shit ton of money. Eventually even teaching Danny how to do it too, she’d told him that ‘using his ghost powers were a cop out’ when he brought that up.. and that ‘anyone would be able to feel the chill of it.’ Which Danny was sure that that was untrue.. But he learned how to steal a wallet, or a phone Sam’s way.

Jazz had been against the thefts at first saying that all of these items belonged to the original owner. But soon she was persuaded when Danny told her that they were stealing stolen items. Stolen ghost items. Some of the items even had a ghost core attached to it. So Jazz became their planner, she’d make sure they’d have all the info they needed and that no one got caught.

Danny ends up in jail after being caught trying to lift someone’s wallet.. Jazz was there to legally get him out and pay the bail. Tucker got caught in a backroom of a place they were stealing from. ‘Oh yeah that’s her brother who would often get himself trapped in closets looking for the bathroom.. She apologizes profusely..’

So when Tucker had found their newest item, a haunted vase that had a shit ton of death and destruction attached to it, Jazz had thought up the plan. She’d heard whisperings that Vlad had gotten invited to the party but Danny was going to go in his place since Vlad would never go. Then they had a plan. A plan they were meant to stick to, until someone ran her face and Danny started being followed. So they abandoned the vase opting to get out of there instead of getting caught.

Just now realized that we're gonna get to see what Gwen intentionally *trying* to flirt looks like

bc like the few times when she said really sentimental things to Miles in ATSV weren't her intending to be romantic. Like the part where she said "What I always think: You're Amazing" was the most affectionate thing she's said to Miles so far, but that was her being unusually candid out of the heavy emotion she was feeling at that moment, not genuine flirting (at least not to her).

But if she's gonna be trying to make up with Miles and maybe doing some mmhmmhmm rizzing...

And I just think that will be Very Funny to watch.

Because you see the thing with Gwen is that she's not used to being open and vulnerable, so she isn't used to just saying how she feels about someone. I think that's why her love language is physical touch.

This is probably totally me projecting, but I always interpreted that physical touch is Gwen's default way of showing affection because expressing affection with words is much more difficult for her to do. It's like her way of expressing love where words fail her. It's kinda all she thinks she's capable of giving.

(Anyone who knows me knows I'm rather touchy too. With my siblings, parents, family, etc. It's always kisses, hugs, gentle arm squeezes, all that. So I relate to this aspect of Gwen's character a lot)

But obviously, physical affection isn't enough anymore. It's cute and highly appreciated, but it won't reveal everything that lies in the heart, or explain what she believes. It's pretty clear by the end of atsv that Miles will need some words from her. Some good words.

Now what's funny to me about Gwen's rizzing potential is that we've seen what it looks like when Gwen is trying to impress someone without knowing how good her chances are. She tried to make a good impression with Miles' parents, but got really awkward and cringed at herself after every attempt at banter or friendly conversation. This was different from how she interacts with the people at the Spider Society because superheroing is her element. It's something she knows she's good at, so there's no self doubt. But Gwen's a fish out of water in domestic situations. I mean, think about the scene where Gwen invites Miles for a swing around New York. The scene that follows very clearly resembles a date, despite the fact that it's not what Gwen meant when she called him out of his window. I think that Gwen had thought about how this could've looked like she was asking him out, then proceeding to shut down any thoughts like that, denying herself that they were on a date, despite that that might've been where her mind had been. Sidebar, I headcanon that during that scene, Miles did allow himself to pretend they were on a date. But anyway, this moment still has Gwen in her element because she's calling him out to swing around the city as spider-woman. It's certainly not the same as asking to casually hang out in civilian clothes to grab a bite or whatever, which would've been much more domestic, which would've been much more difficult for Gwen to attempt at. Gwen knows what the odds are when she's Spider-Woman, but she doesn't know the odds when she's Gwen Stacy.

Gwen not knowing the odds of something working out is what actively keeps her down throughout ATSV before she returns home. She acted with pessimism, and if the chances weren't high, she didnt want to commit herself to trying something that might not work out in the end--a similar outlook I had and still kinda do have, albeit toward my creative endeavors, not romantic relationships (I don't really have experience in that arena tbh)

But now after ATSV she's throwing caution to the wind with Miles, she's gonna face the music and use words this time. And some of those words, might be romantic! Gwen is gonna have a lot to say to Miles, there's so much she'll want to express to him--has been wanting to express to him for 2 years now! A lot of gushy mushy sweet stuff perhaps! Perhaps some rizzy words, yknow? And knowing Gwen, they're probably gonna have a hard time coming out the way she'd like! And it'll probably be very funny!

Ok most of all I’ve got a concept for the backstory before the show takes place, super long and complicated and not perfectly ironed out so I hope this makes sense,,

Everything is exactly the same with Stanford and Stanley’s backstory up until Stan gets kicked out, stan generally stays the same and travels the states becoming a running criminal and con-man up until he comes to gravity falls, there he meets bud gleeful who’s a small businessman in the town. Both being down on their luck they decide to team up start profiting off the strange and unusual things of the town, both way in over their heads. After a particular investment goes well they strike it BIG, major cash but with the papers under stans name he takes it all for himself and heads back to his family with his riches. After stans kicked out ford shoved himself into his academic studies swearing to make something big of himself. His passion for the weird is generally put to the side and he doesn’t discover gravity falls. When stanley returns he’s welcomed back where he hears about Stanford and how he’s doing ALOT of extended studies (bro has like 12 degrees). When stan tells ford all about this he is immediately intrigued and demands stan take him there. Missing his family and riding a high of success he obliges and they both head back down to gravity falls.

After buying what would be north-west manor in canon, ford immediately begins his research into the paranormal while stanley creates the pines family brand. At the start it’s kind of like the mystery shack just in a fancy tend and stuff but over the years it turns into a full fetched and famous flashy show. Meanwhile ford stumbles into Tad the same way he does bill in canon. Ford deceives tad by convincing him he wants to help him give the world order which is far from the case. Like I’ve said before he becomes obsessed with the idea of liberation and freedom after his strict and unfulfilling life so far, one thing leads to another and after plenty of betrayals and such ford traps tad in a deal with him to help him fulfill this goal. By this point dipper and Mabel have been born and are around 5-8 years old. For a reason I haven’t come up with yet they go to live with their grunkles full time much to ford distaste. Eventually both stan and ford warm up to the idea of the twins, stan bc a) very marketable cute kids and b) feelings and ford because he wants a successor. Time skip to present day where pacifica has come to live with her cousin Gideon and her uncle Bud. The mystery shack does exist here and bud owns is, it’s just slightly smaller and filled with less evil basements and secrets.

Also fiddleford swaps with that guy from the society of the blind eye ivan, ivan helps ford keep things under wraps while he works on the portal and explores the nightmare realm. And fiddleford becomes the leader of the blind eye because he believes it’s protecting his family.

Another important swap would be Wendy and robbie, with robbie working at the mystery shack. Pacifica and him have this real rivalry thing for literally so reason but ultimately her low-key terrible and divorcing parents make him release he’s being dumb and that wow maybe my girlfriend dumping me isn’t the biggest deal in the world. Pacifica is jealous of how much freedom he gets :(

Bud and Gideon are a pretty typical American family just With his mother mysteriously out of the picture, bud really really hates stan which comes to it’s conclusion in s1’s ending where stan is sent to jail for spying on and swindling the towns folk lmao

ALSO the amulets don’t get destroyed in their first episode like canon they stick around for basically the whole show (one is a duplicate from tad)

They live a very high society life together, have a few kids and live happily ever after :) (amaya is immortal so she's good to live forever with her mans and babies)

pre-game: She was adopted as a baby by an older Harper wood elf couple. At age 12 zhentarim killed her parents leading them to kidnap Amaya. She was practically enslaved by the zhents and repressed her urges due to a promise from her adopted father- to never give in to the bad thoughts. But unfortunately, she did break the promise when she gave in to the urge to kill her abuser. This led our lil friend Sceleritas to whisk her away to the Bhaal temple.

An anon asked to give a bit more details about my ABO AU, particularly in regards to Rusty's biology, how the boys were conceived and about Rusty's assault that I'd mentioned in my first lil cheat sheet about it. I'm gonna keep some of the details close to the chest bc there will be plot here and there that addresses some of these things! So all in due time ;)

But what I will say is in my ABO universes, I don't actually prefer mpreg, even if they're male Omegas. (I don't have anything against it, but its personally not my cup of tea). I'll put details about my ABO world bending under a cut bc that's a bit less off topic and wordy.

So for now the simple answer is: yes Rusty has messed up hormones, and that impacts things like being appealing to Alphas on a chemical level, having imbalanced heats, his general virility etc. The boys were born naturally, which means there's a mom that gave birth to them...the plot will reveal details later, but I will say that it DOES tie into the assault.

Hope that helps! But for now more general ABO lore stuff:

In my universes, I prefer the idea that the hormones that make Alphas vs Omegas fluctuate, like in real life counterparts akin to estrogen / testosterone. This means their second genders are on a scale sort of system. Alphas that are at the highest end of the scale are exclusively males because male testosterone and the Alpha hormones are the most potent together, but there can be Alphas with less testosterone that fall below that, male or female.

However, males always produce semen and fertilize female eggs, and the females always carry the children. I see the Alpha / Omega status hormones affecting factors such as their demeanor, roles society expects from them, their roles as a parent, and boosting fertility between partners.

Betas don't lack the hormones that determine Alpha / Omegas, it's just that they're so low in either hormone that it doesn't even register in a medical sense. They can get pregnant / impregnate Alphas or Omegas, but there are much lower chances of successful fertilization because the lack of hormones between the two enhancing each other.

Because of this scaling idea there is of course hierarchy. Alphas are 'supposed' to pair with Omegas and it's usually considered taboo if there are Alpha x Alpha, Omega x Omega or Beta x Alpha/Omega relations. More particularly, Male Alphas x Female Omegas are at the highest favored relationship in society, followed by "High Count" Alpha Females x "High Count" Omega Males (basically above a certain hormonal threshold for their second genders). Below that, gender combinations start to become considered lower in class and even judged, ESPECIALLY anyone unfortunate enough to be intersex in any capacity.

I think that's all I have for now, hopefully this clears up some things and gives you a better framework for where things might go!

The first was when he ran away from home at 19 yrs old with Sorrian, the same bard he lost his virginity to, because he needed to escape his arranged marriage and Sorrian needed to flee his bardic master (Marjolaine). They sort of fell apart a few months later, and Aldric went on a depressed booze spiral until he was recruited to the Wardens.

A cuddler: Oh, he's a huge cuddler.

Scared easily: Not particularly anymore, but then again, he got pretty good at fighting through the fear and using it to make him fight harder. Most often, he's scared for his friends and fellow Wardens' safety.

Family

Parents/Close relatives: To say he isn't close to his parents is an understatement. They wanted him to be the LaPointe family's ticket back into high society by marrying a wealthy, socially superior comtesse. Their refusal to see him as his own person rather than an asset of the family drove him to elope with the first boy he fell in love with. He hasn't spoken to either parent in person since he left, and he didn't find out his father had passed until years after the fact, since his mother had no idea where he was in order to send him the news. She would have been horrified to learn he was in Ferelden.

Siblings: None

Children: No biological children, but he's basically adopted Aline Thorne in all but name. If you try to point that out to either of them, they'll laugh at you, though. Sure, he loves her, she's his legally-adult gremlin protege, and he's her annoying old Warden-Lieutenant recruiter. Obviously. Don't read into the fact that they'd do anything to protect each other.

Pets: A mabari he got when he transferred to Ferelden. Her name is Adrienne, and she's the bestest girl who's so so smart, and he spoils her rotten. She and Barkspawn have puppies together. After Solona called dibs on naming one of the puppies Schmooples III, Aldric named another Adalla for Loghain.

OOO i was hoping someone would ask about this one!!! dc bridgerton au 🥰… except not at all because the premise is bruce doesn’t want any of his kids marrying, but especially not anyone of high status. this is bc he views it as a threat to the ironclad control he has over his city as he weeds out rancid and corrupt nobility (court of owls stuff). ……except dick immediately meets and falls in love with princess komand’r’s ‘servant’, koriand’r, who’s actually the rightful heir after her sister’s coup, kom just keeps her around and forces her to serve her to torment her. anyway dick says “no slavery in gotham” and now he’s trying to smuggle kory as a refugee out of her sister’s hold so they can regroup and oust komand’r from the throne.

While Dick Grayson, Heir to the Gotham Throne, had appreciated his sixteenth birthday, he had absolutely not been looking forward with everything else that came with coming of age.

Bruce’s hand is heavy on his shoulder. Dick tries to shrug out of it, but to no avail. “I know, I know-” 

“Nearly all of their families tried their luck with me, once,” Bruce continues, as if Dick hasn’t said anything. “You are their next target. It only makes sense that they’ll try again, and again, to become part of the crown.” 

“Any chance they’ll go back to their old target?” 

Bruce’s pinched lips could almost be considered a smile. Almost. But his lack of answer is answer enough; Dick knows that high society has all but given up on marrying King Brucie.

“Besides, what if there is someone in there that I like?” Dick asks, turning his neck to grin up at his adoptive father properly, rather than looking at his reflection in the mirror. Teasingly, he elbows Bruce in the side. “What are you going to do, ban me from falling in love?” 

“If that’s what it takes.” 

Dick parts his lips at the weight to Bruce’s voice. The seriousness of his tone. 

He waits for Bruce to smile and admit he’s joking. 

But it never comes.

“Oh,” he says, dumbstruck. “You’re serious.” 

Bruce squeezes Dick’s shoulder. “I am. But you won’t fall in love tonight,” he promises. “If you want love, you won’t find it in that ballroom. It’s nothing more than a contest between nobility to see which young noblewoman’s family can join the Wayne Dynasty and elevate her and her family’s status. They want power and prestige, and a lineage they hope will continue that prosperity forever.” 

Like Bruce’s parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents had hoped before them, Bruce doesn’t say. 

“That isn’t love,” Bruce says, softer this time. “Someday, I hope you might find it. But you are sixteen, and I want you to have your guard up. PLEASE please please no one take my brainworms before i can get to puttin them on the hook and casting the line myself. but. i need to dump this out so i can come back to it. lmk if this is anything ig:

i had this idea a few weeks ago but like. in Viktor’s og lore for LoL he’s described as being the son of “Zaunite artisans in the Entresol level”, and that he was originally working with the Ferdenson Chemforge. that got me thinking about like… what if his parents become full on aristocrats involved w the ChemBarons & maybe even Clan Ferros? thinking like...

idk maybe his mom is a prolific artist/performer of some sort. father is involved in chemical engineering. or vice versa. maybe one of them was Signed’s business partner at some point. parents tried to back out after Viktor’s born to keep the family safe & keep a low profile as the business becomes messier and more politically involved but eventually get cornered back into it. Viktor grows up with a silver spoon in his mouth (by Zaunite standards) but he is entirely isolated, parents overprotective out of concern of losing their only heir, only heightened by his disability and conditions. he gets a bit better access to healthcare but still isn’t ever really healthy. parents know that he’s strong and smart and beyond capable, but they also know that any perceived weakness makes him vulnerable in Zaun’s high-and-mighty society. but they’re also never around bc work. so viktor finds comfort and “community” through his studying and independent work, replicating anything he can of his parents to prove himself capable and useful. throws himself into it relentlessly.

Viktor suddenly becomes the head of his house when his father is assasinated or dies in some kinda conflict. he’s young still. maybe 17-20? he’s thrust headfirst into the experience, going instantly from sheltered “spoiled” single child to a nominal head that has an entire “family” to protect. has to fight tooth and nail to prove himself as Actually In Charge and Very Capable and Even Terrifyingly Vicious, When Needed. overnight he is exposed to the intricate, complex horrors of Zaun in an entirely different way and becomes torn between his desire to protect his loved ones and better Zaun itself w/ the realities of what it means to be a prominent figurehead in the undercity. becomes involved in all sorts of shady underground business and shit while trying to get his footing. starts augmenting himself, gets the family re-involved with Signed and therefore Silco/Shimmer. tries to do good but ends up with a reputation for being notoriously quick to the blade. cutthroat. cold and cunning. (he’s loved by the family, good to his people; but anyone outside of that he has no patience for. a learned survival trait more than anything but it does start to chip away at his morals and shit overtime)

meanwhile… Jayce… ohhhh Jayce

its prolly stereotypical and i want to like be careful in how i approach it bc like. as much as i love the trope in general i do think there’s some. uh. problematic connotations in the constant portrayal of Jayce as a “dog” but in this i feel like he’d be Piltover’s most well-respected attack/guard dog. still need to flesh a lot of his side out bc this idea started with Viktor & ive been trying like hell to not get Too Deep down the spiral simply not to distract from amsatasm. but he’s like… an undercover assassin/spy kinda deal? collects a lot of intel for Piltover but also does their dirty work. the stuff the Enforcers cant do but work that “needs yo be done.” lots of potential for involving like Marcus and Cait and whatnot there too. they mention that he’s indoctrinated into the Giopara clan in his lore but it doesn’t really explain what that clan is any further??? which gives me SAUR much room for creative liberty it makes me feral.

for the sake of storytelling i feel like they’d end up in some direct conflict with Viktor’s family. Jayce gets sent to Zaun to collect information and begin plotting out a careful assassination of the rising Zaunite mafia lord (Viktor). has to play the part fully of a lesser-known Zaunite “nobility” to get close. spends months hunting down this allusive man that everyone is utterly fucking terrified of.

finally after MONTHS of like only catching glimpses/just barely crossing paths, they meet at some sort of gala or event. jayce tries approaches him when he’s alone and viktor catches him off guard with a blade to the throat. he’s intoxicated tho and just tired from having a Long Fucking Day and immediately entertains the way jayce smooth talks his way outta the situation. jayce expects to find the man disgusting and morally reprehensible. but instead he’s met with someone unexpectedly charming. viktor lets the cold metal mask (figuratively and literally) slip, ends up a little too… vulnerable? honest? its enough for jayce to realize how wrong his biases are. queue enemies to lovers, “you’re supposed to be my target but the closer i get to my goal the more i wanna sacrifice everything to help/save you” vs “you insult me by implying i need help or to be saved but at the same time you make me feel like i could actually be known AND be vulnerable for the first time in my life and fuck its derailing me from my own goals” pipeline.

obviously a lot to flesh out here, this is just the bare bones. but. this idea is HAUNTING me. like it will not leave me alone, i keep getting more n more inspo for it every time i try to focus on other shit. im tempted to draft a first chapter and post it just as a placeholder until i finish up AMSATASM. might help me to have another thing to work on alongside that tho so i dont burn out of one thing but aughhrgrh AMSATASM is gonna be so long i think it might be worth it to just. start it. idk if u got this far in lmk what u think the better approach is ig:

so the very sparse info Gege provides for Gojo and Geto has, imo, some fridge horror to it. They must remain head-canon but I'm curious if you think my thoughts are a stretch or not.

I wondered if Suguru snapping after finding Nanako and Mimiko was meant as a subtle hint at Geto, a child from a non-sorceror family, having childhood abuse background. His rampage at the village seems cohesive character-wise, but I always thought killing his parents felt a bit jarring and OOC at that point in his "insanity spiral." The first crime comes from outrage & hatred, while the latter is over the top cold logic- his explanation "it would be hypocritical to spare them" seems underwhelming to me.

2. Gojo having a bounty on his head throughout his whole childhood. He might have infinity but on a practical level, loved ones are vulnerable to blackmail or hostage situations. Logically they are a weakness and the more you have, the weaker you are.

I think Gojo has so many things going on that contribute to his isolation and inability to connect- (obnoxious personality, immense power, trauma from Toji attack) that this crazy aspect of his life is brushed off. I feel like in any other character, the bounty would be seen as a major contributor to their psychology.

We see throughout the story that anytime Gojo loves or shows humanity towards another (Amanai, Suguru, Megumi (even Yuuji)) he is narratively punished for it.

thank you for sharing your thoughts! i'll try my best to explain my own. my thoughts on gojo are especially jumbled since he's such a complicated character.

(1) gege has shown himself to be the type to of artist to ground his fiction in reality. i think the narrative overwhelmingly points to jujutsu sorcerers generally being perceived as "freaks" by non-sorcerers. miminana are extreme examples of this, whereas the old man geto beat up in the hidden inventory arc is a milder one.

"how would parents react if their child told them they could see/hear things they couldn't?" -> that's the question i imagine gege asked himself when he wrote this detail into jjk.

i think geto's abilities were a cause of concern for his parents, with the potential for it to have actually translated into fear. he does seem to have a special place in his heart for chosen families. i think that suggests a difficult home life. we can only speculate how bad it was though. enough for him to go through with him killing his parents nonchalantly, as far as we know. abuse wouldn't be a wildly off-base assumption.

(2) i think gojo's character is definitely marked by his station in society. the good and the bad that come with it. people really don't tend to talk about the bounty on his head, bc it's such an "oh, by the way" fact that gege fits into the story. gege probably mulled over it though (he's a serious overthinker). so i don't think it's something ppl should dismiss when thinking about gojo's psychology. some of his self-imposed isolation can be traced back to instances like it.

as an older kid and a tween, especially. i would guess gojo was probably asking himself stuff like who can he trust in this world? who can he open up to? when the world is out to kill him. the bounty on his head also probably accustomed him to solve problems with power/violence.

i think this mindset was disrupted by geto in high school, though. gojo grows to be quite generous with his trust after him. he has a lot of faith in others as an adult. so i think geto, on top of everything, inadvertently helped gojo heal and process some of his pain from childhood.

i say this bc the disconnect gojo seems to refer to in ch 236, seems different. more a result of the higher state of mind he acquires. he basically tells geto in the afterlife that it isn't rooted in loneliness, after all. which i also take to mean, not necessarily in childhood trauma by that point. but a sense that no one can possibly understand what it means to be strong— and still be powerless.

that's why i believe gojo wasn't being punished for his humanity so much as being taught a lesson on how power can only take him so far— time and time again.

this whole lesson sets up the world to be able to move on without him. life doesn't ultimately hinge on one person and i think gojo knows this to be true, which is why he's always so.. relaxed when he's taken out of the equation. while everyone else scrambles to put him back in. (funnily enough, even fans do this). 

ppl look at him and think he's above them. when inevitably, he'll die, just as all beings do. which i think is what the following sequence was about, too. and what gojo mostly meant when he said "he alone is the honored one [to come to knows this]"(in contrast to when gege used it for sukuna(x) who goes on to distinguish himself from gojo in the way he only pleases/satisfies himself). the saying has several connotations (x).

A. An AU based on H2O Just add water (if people don’t know this one I would be shocked, also yes this a joke one)

b. An AU based on Wolfblood: Basically people born with the ability to turn into wolves if you want the simplified version, kylo would be the wolf. Hux would be (shh secret lore stuff)

c. An AU based on Alien Surfer Girls: Kylo is an alien that has come to earth for some reason. The shows reason was surfing but I might change that bc why 😭 (this is another Joke one)

D. An AU based on Thunder Stone: A meteor destroyed life on earth so now the survivors live underground in a high tech society, and then one of them will discover time travel and go to the future where everything’s a desert and there’s like nomad rebel people that get captured by the dictator people and forced to work the mines and stuff, and also all the animals are just dead (i haven’t decided who is the traveler and who is from the future, also fun fact the show was made in the 90s but set in 2020, the meteor supposedly hit in 2003)

E. An AU based on Girl From Tomorow: Ben is from a post apocalyptic Utopian Future where everything is peaceful and they have these devices that allow to use what is basically the force. And Hux is from the past just before the apocalypse took place in a war torn world run by a dictatorship. Ben accidentally travels back to that time and has to figure out what to do because the apocalypse is getting closer and closer. he probably gets arrested by Hux or some thing.

F: an AU based Ocean girl: (I haven’t decided if they will be adults in this one or if it will be BenArmie) Kylo is living and working in an underwater, marine research facility as a marine biologist, and he comes across an island where he meets Hux an alien prince, who crash landed there when he was a child and Can like swim really well and talk to Whales

G. An AU based on Sparticle Mystery: A BenArmie story where all of the adults have been teleported into another dimension, leaving the children to fend for themselves (a lot of them end up creating dictatorships) anyway while traveling around Ben stumbles into a military school (that is one of those dictatorships) where he meets Armie. (I wish people would get the reference for this because the character I based Hux on is like so funny, also that character does have a romantic relationship in the show and has a child by the end of it 😂) in season two of the show, the kids parents get returned as teenagers. I don’t know if I will do that, but it would be pretty funny 😭 (this is like a semi joke one)

H. An AU based elephant princess: basically, Kylo finds out that he’s from a different dimension and is actually heir to the throne of that dimension, and has a whole bunch of magic powers. And he stuck between going off and living as a prince or continuing to be in his rock band, and also he’s distracted by the guy he has a crush on at school who just joined the band (this is a joke one, he’s literally going to be adopted by snoke. Also fun fact, young Liam Hemsworth is in this show.)

I. An AU based on spellbinder in the land of the dragon lord: this one is going to be more loosely based they just have a dimension traveling boat, and I just wanted to mess around with that. Like I remember, there was one of the universes where, like all of the adults could not have children, so they made children out of robots and then captured the characters because they realized that they could have children and we’re like “make us children!” Also all dressed like they were part of Victorian France, It’s a really weird show.

J. just a parody of Doctor Who but with Kylux.

ok, so I know you said that you feel that pre!Surak Vulcans wouldn’t have developed warp cores without Surak….but other planets still would, right? For the sake of AU I’m about to describe, imagine that Vulcans basically become an isolationist society similar to Romulans, but without the territories and empirical stuff outside of their planet (and the Romulans still leave Vulcan to make their own society). In this AU, I’m imagining that the Cardassians make first contact with Earth instead of Vulcan. Humans also happen to be universal breeders, meaning they can reproduce with basically any other humanoid species, even those that normally require more than two parents like the Andorians/Aenar. So, when the Cardassians, who have a low birthrate (at least in this au), find a planet full of universal breeders….they jump at the opportunity, finding the most politically important human families and marrying their daughters to high-ranking Cardassian Guls. By the time the cardassian upper-class has had their pick of human females, the word has spread to other planets that humans are universal breeders, and the next to start scrambling for human females is the Andorians. The Vulcans aren’t far behind. RW Headcanons Nobody Asked for but you get Anyway

This stuff is somewhat relevant bc of Monarch and my WIP fanfic/comic and such

Today's topic is Scavengers because they're probably the most developed things I have.

(Info under cut in case people do not want this huuuuge text block)

Biology

Scavengers are a live-bearing species of mammal-like creatures that are highly intelligent and social. I compare them to humans a lot, especially the humans in Wings of Fire (hilariously, also named scavengers). Don't worry, you don't need to read the books to understand it, it's basically just society before technology.

Scavengers typically have 2 pups, but can have more or less with varying rarity. Scavenger pups (called 'pups' or 'babies' by other scavs) are born with rounded bodies covered in a thick layer of baby fuzz. They're basically balls of fuzz with four little claw feet and a head attached. Speaking of their head, scavengers have somewhat pointed heads with a slight snout and a pair of flexible, cat-like ears on their head. Their spines are not present at all as babies, hidden by the fuzz, but grow in and show as they grow older.

Adult scavengers have thin, flat fur pressed against their body with long arms and legs, as well as fully formed spines, but are otherwise bigger versions of the scav pups. Some may display unusual traits, such as whiskers, additional claws, or extra sets of ears.

Hierarchy

Scavengers have a hierarchy structure that I loosely based on what is seen in fiction such as My Pride and Warrior Cats, as well as real pack structures in animals (namely wolves). In each region, there is a standing scavenger 'tribe' that go under unique names. Smaller tribes may exist within regions, but they do not get along with each other.

Tribes are named 'The Tribe of [X]', where X is some kind of description of their main territory (e.x. The Tribe of Endless Machines is the tribe in Metropolis). Sometimes, when rival chieftains address each other in a non-violent standings (To form alliances, discuss temporary truces, peacefully trade territory, or sometimes exchange members of the tribes), you can say 'Chief [Scav Name] of the Tribe of [Tribe Name]'

So, for example, the Metropolis leader could be addressed as 'Chief Ferocious Quick Thinker of the Tribe of Endless Machines'. Or just 'Chief Ferocious Quick Thinker'. Sometimes, rival scavs can also politely address each other as '[Scav Name] of the Tribe of [Tribe Name]'. Dee-Dee, for example, could be called 'Daring Double Whisker of the Tribe of Crystal Waterfalls'.

Each tribe has it's own chieftain with their own mask, though bigger and better tribes have more elaborate masks and are also the scavengers that commonly control tolls.

The societal structure is based on each member taking to their strengths to work to the best of their ability. At the top there is the chieftain. Scavengers can reach this rank through a few means, including (but not limited to):

-Ascending as a blood relative to a recently deceased chieftain (Must be direct blood and the tribe has to approve)

-Being appointed as a new chieftain (Done by the old one either when they step down or as preparation for when they die)

-Defeating a weaker chieftain in an honorable duel (Not always to the death, only accepted if the old chieftain had some kind of problem (not widely accepted, failed to protect the tribe in some way, had been badly wounded)

There's other ways, but these are the main ways they happen.

Below the Chieftain is their direct family (parents, siblings, mate, children), and then below that is female scavengers with pups. They rank high socially, and are highly protected by the tribe. Their mate ranks slightly below them, and all pups rank here as well.

Next are the majority of the tribes, being the normal scavengers who do tasks such as hunting, defense, running tolls, kill squads, scouting territory, etc. They're scavengers that are functional to the tribe. When they're not busy doing their tasks, they can be found reinforcing social bonds doing things such as cleaning each other or playing social games.

The lowest are the 'Maskless', young scavengers that have progressed past the baby stage but have yet to reach maturity. They have yet to get their adult names and modified masks. However, they carry similar tasks that the adults do, simply with less major tasks put on them. They are not sent out on kill squads and rarely sent out to defend, mostly being hunters or the last line of defense.

Stages of Life

Speaking of 'Maskless' and babies and such, here's how the scavs grow up and get named and such!

Scav pups are given short, one word or compound names that reflect their physical looks. Names like this can be things such as 'Fluffy', 'Fuzzball', 'Spike', 'Claw', 'Chocolate', etc.

Once they lose their baby fluff and their spines start to grow in, but before they are fully mature, they age into the 'Maskless' phase. During this, they keep their baby name as they begin to be taken notice of (their personality, skills, etc) to help form their adult name.

Finally, they get their name and mask when they reach full maturity during an elaborate ceremony for the individual. The chieftain appoints their new name, which is a three word combination. The first word describes their personality (Daring, Fierce, Restless), while the other two are a description of the skill or ability they're best at (Night Hunter, Gentle Giant, Flying Striker) Sometimes, they can also be physical descriptions (Double Whisker) or all three words can be the skill (Unrivaled Flawless Aim).

Their mask is also given to them here, which starts as a normal vulture mask that they are to carve and add to as they please during the ceremony. (Only real rules are that it can't be too ridiculous) Otherwise, it's really just a night of all the scavs having fun and taking the night off, probably eating the vulture they killed for the mask.

With their new adult names, most scavs also choose to take nicknames. These can be chosen or imposed by others, and have a wide range of what they can be. Some take parts of their name ('Unrivaled Flawless Aim' Flawless), others go by abbreviations ('Daring Double Whisker' DD or Dee-Dee), and some are nicknamed with their baby names ('Rushing Edged Glare' Dash)

Chieftans simply add the word 'Chief' before their name, and must always be addressed by their full name. (Chief Rushing Edged Glare)

At any time, they can always take off their masks, and of course as they move up ranks they'll also add to them (Like if they become an elite they can add more patterns, maybe pearls if they're really lucky). Their ears simply fold flat against their head when wearing the mask, and they use it for protection and secrecy when interacting with other tribes.

Language

Pretty simple, to me scavs communicate in three main ways: Body language, symbols, and their spoken language.

Body language is standard, mostly used between rival tribes since they dare not engage in pleasantries such as speaking.

Written symbols are mostly used as signs to others of the same tribe, as each makes their own symbols to signify different things. For example, if a hunting squad passes by a major threat too large for them, they might write symbols in their path to indicate danger and the need for a kill squad.

Spoken language, which sounds like various clicks, chirps, and squeaks, is most common in the same tribe and among close members.

Known Scav Headcanons

These are all my tribe names/chieftain/individual names for all known scavs in the game:

-Both GW scav tolls are owned by the Tribe of Lurking Danger, led by Chief Distant Lethal Finish. This tribe also owns one of the treasuries.

-The other GW Treasury is owned by the Tribe of Foul Sight, led by Chief Commanding Spear Master. The scav merchant in GW, named Bright Charming Gaze is part of the Tribe of Foul Sight as well.

-The Outskirts toll is owned by the Tribe of Flat Expanse, led by Chief Sharp Pinpointed Accuracy. They also owns the toll in Outer Expanse, making them the only tribe to own territory in two regions.

-Both the toll and Treasury in Farm Arrays are owned by the Tribe of Fungal Growth, led by Chief Unyielding Sixth Claw

-The merchant in Shaded Citadel, named Lonely Black Beard, is part of the Tribe of Infinite Darkness, led by Chief Perfect Glowing Eyesight

-The merchant in Sky Islands, named Leaping Aerial Ace, is part of the Tribe of Supposed Flight, led by Chief Delicate Iridescent Beauty

Their emotions are so high!

This has been a long time coming - it's been nearly a year of back and forth. Nearly a year of glaring, of snide comments and sneering remarks as they're forced together 'for the good of the kingdom'. Nearly a year of heated arguments and even more heated glances that catch on the a long column of throat or the swell of a breast.

It's getting close to that time when Jake and Neytiri are set to step down from the throne. Both Lo'ak and Princess are old enough to take their place. Princess has been trained her whole life for this, she's ready - knows the ins and outs of royal life and how to handle foreign dignitaries and council issues without even having to bat her perfectly curled eyelashes. Lo'ak, on the other hand . . . well, he's good enough. He still learning; it will take YEARS for him to fully learn everything that Neteyam had been taught to do and handle since the moment he was born. But he's getting there - he's much smarter and more capable than his parents or Princess ever give him credit for.

But it's still intense. Nerves are getting the better of them, their anxiety is through the roof. The stress that they're going to fuck up somehow is making them worried and frustrated and they're snapping at each other even more than usual. If Lo'ak messes up, it's going to be proof to him and his parents (and the entire kingdom) that he will never be as good as his brother, and he hates that he can't even go one day without being compared to Neteyam. If Princess messes up, her life is over. Lo'ak would be upset if he messed up, but he would be okay. But she's a woman, and worse - she's a woman trying to maintain a position of power. She already has people rooting for her to fail. If this goes south for her, just one mess up, and she's done.

So they're both not feeling their best when they return to their rooms after their official engagement ball. They were paraded around, told to be quiet, to stick to the speeches written for them, to "Smile, for God's sake! Can you at least act like you like each other?"

The were forced to roam the ballroom, arm and arm, large smiles plastered on their faces as they talk to important person after important person, answering the same questions over and over and over again.

"Are you excited? You should feel very blessed,"

"How do you feel stepping into your brother's shoes?"

"Have you heard from Prince Neteyam at all?"

"Is it true he ran away with a maid?"

"How long after your marriage and coronation can we expect an heir?"

They danced together, bodies moving to the rhythm of the perfectly performed orchestra as they twirl together almost seamlessly across the shiny ballroom floor. Their eyes don't leave each other as they dance, spinning to the music and seeming to notice nothing else around them except for each other before the coda plays and the dance comes to an end. They bow and curtsey respectively, eyes narrowing briefly at the other as they both try to push the annoying thought of how effortless the entire piece was and what that might signify.

Lo'ak's not in his room for five minutes when a knock on the door sounds. He's still in his fancy clothes, and the only thing he's managed to remove is his waistcoat. He's still working on unbuttoning his ruffled shirt when Princess's maid enters his bedchamber.

"My Prince, my Princess is requesting your presence,"

Lo'ak frowns. "For what?"

"She would like to discuss with you some matters regarding tomorrow's meeting with the council members,"

"No," Lo'ak scoffs. "I'm tired. We can talk tomorrow."

The older woman nods, understanding. "Yes, my Prince. However, my Lady does want me to insist and remind you that she has been training for this life far longer than you have and it is within your best interest to heed her suggestions,"

Lo'ak's hands drop from his shirt, a deep growl bursting from his throat at the slight coming from an infuriating girl currently located across the castle. He barrels past the maid, cutting through hallways until he's outside Princess's door. His knock is rough and angry, and she's still in her ball gown when she answers, a small smirk playing at her lips with a cocky, "Oh, good. You're here,"

"You summoned me?"

She has about two seconds to gloat and take pride in his pissed off expression before he's yelling at her. Harsh words spill from his lips - "you're a spoiled brat" "you're nothing without me" "You wouldn't have this chance anymore since Neteyam left if not for me,". The words aren't new, he's said them before - but this time they hit harder, and her carefully crafted visage of complete emotional stability and self control come crumbling down around them.

She's yelling at him back, interrupting his scathing words and spitting her own about how he'll never be like his brother, how if she leaves then it will be on him to look as a failure in front of his father, how she doesn't even want this marriage, never wanted it, but she has to if she ever wants any kind of a life.

They're both breathing heavy when the yelling stops, glaring daggers at each other as they try to calm their breathing. She can't help when her eyes trail down to his torso, taking in the fully unbuttoned shirt hanging open around his muscular chest, mixed metal necklaces contrasting nicely against his dark skin. His eyes are on her too, locked onto the soft swell of her breasts heaving in the tight corset top of her dress.

It's pure instinct as they come together, neither one making the active decision to lunge forward and press their lips together.
