little update on the crises from the other day. was able to get in touch with my pump's people and start the process to get a new one. since i'm processing a new pump and am considered in warranty again due to that they can send me a loaner, and he said it'd be here tomorrow! i nearly cried in relief because WHEW. that means i don't have to start this semester without a closed loop system. that would have absolutely killed me, i can't handle a 15 credit hour load while doing everything manually

i also was able to find my old medtronics minimed the night my other one died, and successfully popped my transmitter out of my sensor to grab the SN so i've at least had readings through the weekend. i haven't really been able to keep myself in range much, averageing in the 190-240 range :/ even with bumping a temp basal up and returning to my anxiety meds, it's not making a dent in my readings. so i've been in a decent bit of pain the last few days. my anxiety has been sky high and for some reason i cannot place, this whole event flared up my cptsd. maybe it's just cause the desperation reminded me of being homeless, of rationing insulin and begging doctors for help. or maybe it's because i instantly got into a self-blame cycle. i don't know, but it's been a pretty rough time in the virgil mind palace

i feel better now that i at least can have the loaner pump and getting a new pump will absolve this from being an issue again for at least another 4 years until i'm out of warranty again so yay on that front. i also reached out to my therapist to make an appointment since it's been a while and i'm clearly going through something again lol. gonna try to just carve the rest of this week out for self care and rest and a little bit of creative work. i feel frustrated that this threw such a wrench into not just my physical/mental health but also in my creative work, but it is what it is.

my queue is also a mess, but i'm too lazy to go and organize it. at least it's up and running lol. but i'm prolly gonna be pretty absent on here and other socials (discord included) until the end of the year. i will however be participating in the aroace jayvik bigbang or gift exchange, whichever it becomes, as well as bottom jayce winter, so if you're here for arcane jayvik shit there will be more of those shenanigans eventually—and i haven't forgotten or forsaken my other works either, it's all just really slow moving right now cause i, as usually, have bitten off a bit more than i can chew & needed to slow down to focus on making some space for myself & other shit

anyways. i'm alive and i'll be around, don't be surprised if there's an uptick of vent posts over the next few months while i try to cope with the stress i'm under & step into a new phase of life. apologies in advance for any crash outs but most of you are probably used to that by now or don't even see it so lol
