Here is a scene I wrote for an au (that I really need a name for bc it dominates my thoughts).

Bit (a lot) of background on this AU: It's supposed to be a superhero/urban fantasy/soulmate au. Everyone has some degree of magic, they just have to learn to harness it. All soulmate pairs are the canon ones from Double Life.

Scar (Hotguy) and Gem (Fauna) are heroes. Grian (Chaos Sparrow) is a vigilante. Pearl (Scarlet) is a villain. Jimmy is just a civilian, but he's a victim of the prophecy (basically just the Canary Curse).

It was supposed to be Scarian mild annoyance to lovers and Gempearl enemies to lovers, but it has gotten more focused on the:

Scar & Gem besties relationship,

the Grian & Pearl chaos skyblings relationship,

the Grian & Pearl & Jimmy & Lizzie skybling/seabling relationship,

the Scar & Pearl depression villain arc relationship,

and Gem & Grian's sibling dynamic.

At this point in the story, our four main characters (Gem, Scar, Grian, and Pearl) have made a deal. The higher-ups at the Hero Corp want to interrogate Scarlet (Pearl) for information because she's not only the primary villain of the city, she's also the leader of the underground, who are presumably the people who want to assassinate Jimmy (if he dies, it's basically Ragnarok). Pearl does not have control over individual people or groups in the underground, she just runs the system.

The Hero Corp wants Gem and Scar to retrieve Pearl and bring her to them. So Gem and Scar set up a meeting, since there is mutual trust between the four of them.

The conclusion was that they could take Pearl, but Grian would take one of the heroes as collateral so that he could ultimately get her back. They decided to exchange Gem rather than Scar because they knew that Gem is the Hero Corp's precious baby and they'd be desperate to get her back, which ensures Pearl's release. Additionally, Scar's magic is incredibly strong since he's a fae. He has a natural advantage that bypasses some of Pearl's talent in magic.

So he places a curse on her that can only be broken if Scar chooses to break it. Basically it prevents her from flying (she's got wings, so does Grian), getting out of range of Scar, and the curse includes the ability to control whether the person the curse is placed on can talk or not, but Scar refuses to utilize it.

Also since Scar is a fae, he can't lie. But he does have a silver tongue that easily gets around the lying factor. Also he doesn't know that he and Grian are soulbound. Also Gem doesn't have a soulbound. Also I'm really insecure about posting this like I think it's cool but maybe other people won't think it's cool but an IRL friend really liked it but idk and I did write this all on discord because I needed to explain the scene to said friend and it was going to be easier to just write it and AAAAAA

The Hero Corp keeps insinuating that Scar is working with the villains. They keep insisting that he break more and more of his morals to find more stuff.

And finally, he just goes "Do you want a villain? Because I can give you one.”

And it's dead silent.

No one says shit.

Gem's apprentice, Guqqie, is there with their jaw dropped.

Scar's usually green eyes are glowing red.

He's angry.

"It seems to me that you want a villain," Scar says, his voice echoing in the silent room. "I can give you one. Isn't that what you want?”

No one says anything.

Scar's red eyes burn into the side of [boss]'s skull. "I thought you wanted a villain.”

Some people are staring at him. Some are trying to get out of this room. Some are trying to ignore what's happening.

"Did you not want a villain?" Scar asks. "I don't appreciate lying.

"I can't lie," Scar says. "I'm not sure if you know this, but I cannot lie. I feel like maybe you'd extend the same courtesy for me.”

"Do you want a fucking villain?" Scar snaps. "Or are you just unsatisfied with me having boundaries? Not liking how you compare me to Fauna and wish I got taken instead? Realizing that Villains are people too?”

It wouldn't've been terrible to be taken by Sparrow (Grian, Scar thought with mild wonder. A beautiful name. His heart fluttered, despite the situation), but the thought still stood. [boss] didn't know that Sparrow wouldn't hurt him.

"Don't you want a villain?" Scar asks, quietest yet. "Don't you?" More silence. The clock on the wall ticks. Scar can hear his heavy breath in time with his heartbeat. "Well, I'll give you one." He rips his hero badge from around his neck and lays it on the table. "I resign.”

And he stalks away, the explosion of "no!"s and "why?"s and "HOTGUY GET BACK HERE!"s blocked out by his mind.

And he walks up to his apartment, his mild haven here, and sees Pearl and Jimmy. He snaps his fingers, lifting Pearl's curse. She looks up in alarm, and Jimmy follows suit.

"We're leaving." Scar tells them, leaving no room for argument. "And we're not coming back.”

Last year there were (fake) allegations about Smajor1995 regarding a 12 year old. The person behind the account who claimed to be a victim was 24 years old. 2.4.

And it was recently talked about in a group discord that I reported the high hell's of, THEY DID IT BECAUSE THEY WANTED HIS CLOUT

Then there was tubbo and the Emma social experiment. I also had the misfortune of talking to someone who knew they person personally, they downplayed it and said he couldn't do anything cause they were in Russia, I report all this to a Tubbo mod.

I remember seeing the Shelby situation and after that came out, it being confirmed and stuff, she start supporting others. Like anyone would do. But Caiti USED THE SITUATION TO HER ADVANTAGE AND BLINDSIDED EVERYONE, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SHELBY'S AND AIMSEY KINDNESS!

This then created an environment were shelby didn't support anyone else in fear of it happening again and Freddie being thrown under the rug.

Then recent a Vtubers called Kenji was doxx, humiliated and harassed by his former mods and HIS OWN BEST FRIENDS, who prayed on his downfall so that they could take his place and be more popular. When getting called out they gave the shittiest excuse possible, "Oh I needed to better myself as a person" and "oh I needed it to be said outloud to know it was wrong"

HOW UNFUNNY, UNORIGINAL AND FUCKING CRUEL DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO PRAY ON SOMEONE'S DOWNFALL TO CLAIM THERE COMMUNITY?!

They are willing to make fake situations of victims and normal, innocent people to steal there clout and fame.

The MINUTE a famous person opens a discord server and is active with there community they're putting themselves at risk of something happening.

People like Goodtimeswithscar and Jimmy Solidaritygaming consider NOT having a twitter account in fear of this happening.

Grian has openly REFUSED to use twitter or have a active discord server because of this.

Smajor1995 doesn't interact on discord much because of this people.

People like Dream have had to abandoned server and projects in fear of bs happening.

THE SMUT?! THE MURDER?! CHAPTER 8 WAS A THRILLER!

I loved the conflict of both of them murdering like 3 or more zombies now and the smut at the end omg....

I have 2 main ideas of how the last few moments are being protrayed as:

1. Scar wants grian in a romantic way, not sexual. (Hense kissing him earlier bc he needed to kiss grian b4 he dies) This leads him to help grian get off and he's still glad grian let him get so close to him, but he thinks grian only wants him for his body, not himself.

2. Scar wants to love grian so badly but he's conflicted because it's clear grian still loves him but he also FUCKIN CHEATED and he doesn't get turned on at the end bc he's stuck thinking about how grian had sex with bigb and he was ignored and pushed aside for <whatever reason??> so he's playing tug of war with himself between A) wanting the relationship he and grian had before he cheated and B) loathing grian for cheating on him bc duhhh

Also grian you little shit how dare you cheat on scar, save his life, kill ppl for him, break his heart a billion times over, not address you cheating on him, then go and have sex with him and not even say anything?!?! Like bro, I know you gotta have a character arc but this is ridiculous. ALSO ALSO this is a lovers to enemies (exes) to lovers again WHICH IMPLIES SCAR FORGIVES YOU?? case 1: Fwhip is the victim, Joel is the suspect. Gem takes the case to find out who killed her brother. haven't decided who the killer is - the way things shake out with how i assign other characters it kind of has to be scar or mumbo but that doesnt feel very satisfying? idk. grian is the prosecutor.

case 2: Lizzie is the defendant. Ren and BigB are the witnesses, BigB is also the real killer. havent decided who the victim is yet. BigB killed them bc he found out they were planning to murder Lizzie and he wanted to defend her. Cleo is the prosecutor.

case 3: BDubs is the defendant, Etho is the murderer. Skizz and Tango are witnesses, and the murder took place in team BEST headquarters. havent worked out a motive, i think Doc or Beef makes sense as a victim. BDubs confesses in order to protect Etho when you get close to proving he did it; however this reminds Etho of his own loyalty to BDubs, and he confesses to the crime as well, leaving Gem and Impulse to... either prove which of the two did it or convince BDubs to recant his confession, im not sure which is more satisfying. Cleo prosecutes again.

case 4: Martyn, whos been one of the detectives through the game, is killed. Jimmy is the defendant, and Cleo is initially the prosecutor. however, Cleo is killed during a recess in the trial, and Jimmy is accused of this crime as well. Pearl becomes the prosecutor for the second half of the trial at Scott's urging, but Gem, Impulse, and eventually Pearl work together to prove Scott is the real killer. not sure how the case shakes out yet but i think it would be fun if as a last-ditch effort Scott claims Cleo was the killer and then committed suicide when she worried Gem would reveal their crimes. also, the case X years ago that this one must by obligation tie into involves Scott and Pearl covering up their own wrongdoing somehow, and its eventually revealed that Scott committed THIS pair of murders for Pearl's sake instead of his own

Life SMP Simulated: Session 6!

This is the penultimate session, so shits about to go down….

We start off hot with Cleo permadying! That’s gonna hit Pearl hard… Cleo finishes in 12th. Grian, Ren, Bdubs then also proceed to die one after another! Bdubs kills Grian in what was probably the latter pissing the former off somehow, Ren dies bc of a failed defused trap (third life flashbacks…) and Bdubs gets karma for kills Grian by falling into a ravine right after! But of a mundane way to end the Ethubs drama, but I suppose you can’t top the climax last session. In any case, Grian ends in 11th and Bdubs in 10th.

Also 3/4 of these immediate deaths were PERMANENT! If this was real that would make for a short video…

Moving on, Cleo’s permadeath does seem to Pearl quite hard, as she goes on a murderous rampage! Ren and Joel both fall victim to this. And ig Skizz dies to a creeper sometime around then.

People continue dropping like flies in quick succession! A newly-turned red in Ren kills Scar and then Skizz, and Tango and Etho both permadie of non-player stuff. Tango goes in 9th, Etho 8th.

THE IMPORTANT THING HERE THO. If you remember last session, there was some drama and infighting within Team MIST (Martyn/Impulse/Skizz/Tango) after Impulse went red (go read session 5’s commentary for more details), and here he enacts his revenge, taking ALL THREE OF MARTYN’S REMAINING LIVES! Impulse went crazy bloodthirsty for revenge here! He didn’t get to Tango in time (tho he did take one of Tango’s lives last session), and my personal take is Impulse was so close to Skizz he couldn’t bear to kill him. The fucking angst I tell you… Skizz watching Impulse take down his original alliance one by one only to not have the heart to kill Skizz… askskskdjddjdjcjffk

Uhm right I got distracted by the angst and skipped a bit ahead there. Remember Ren killing Scar? Yeah that had consequences. Scar kills Pearl first for… reasons ig before enacting his own revenge on Ren.

Pearl takes 7th, Ren 6th, and Martyn 5th.

As a side note, remember the Ren/Martyn and Scar/Impulse alliance parallel from two sessions ago I think it was? Both were people without alliances asking to ally a MIST member, one of the major alliances of the season. The difference is though, Ren seems to have just been desperate; Scar was playing opportunistic (highlighted by him allying rapidly allying Bdubs and then Skizz the last session when Impulse and then Bdubs went red). Ren was just banking on that alliance getting him through, and when he went red, nothing was solid and he fell apart. Scar has these little moments of trading and helping Impulse here and there, and that Probsbly helps him after everyone went red like in this session.

(Minor-er thing but Scar and Impulse also have a parallel to each other this ep! Both deliver revenge, but Scar does it immediately with his opportunistic seizing-the-moment gameplay, and Impulse stews on it for a session or so and lets the angstiness sink in first.)

And that leaves us with our final four! We have…

IMPULSE! One of the major characters of the lategame, with his incredible arc about the rise and fall of team MIST. But is he the protagonist? Or just another obstacle for someone else to take down?

JOEL! He had to deal with his two allies being an absolute trainwreck this session, and while they stole the spotlight, sometimes hiding in the shadows will nab you the win. Will he break into the spotlight at the last moment?

SCAR! As I said before, his gameplay is incredibly opportunistic, and it served him well, with alliances with two other members going into this finale. But opportunity doesn’t always knock at the right time, and the alliances he has could be superficial. Is Scar’s gameplay effective enough for him to take the crown?

SKIZZ! Our second member of team MIST here AND our second members with two other allies in this final four! He’s may have survived the MIST drama because of his close bond with Impulse, but with four people left, can he still fall back on those relationships to survive?

I’m sure you’ll get this again if you haven’t already, but Etho for the ask game?

First impression: ooogh mysterious white hair guy? fics make him quiet and they seem scared of him on last life. spooky??

Impression now: this is the wettest of cats. kind of guy to wear khakis. kind of guy to giggle. teenage boy energy. his in-universe reputation as an og lets him get away with being a menace and he WILL use it to his advantage.

Favorite moment: i have a bias towards the entire saga of him spending all of iskalls diamonds in season 8 because a compilation of that started the trend of my friends asking me to send them etho clips with a 'give me a kakashi'. also bc its hilarious.

Unpopular opinion: does it count to just ask why etho gets so many vent fics on ao3 dmgmkMKG what attracts people to making him a whump victim... he's like 2nd next to grian for it.

Favorite relationship: ethubs feels like a cop out but they rlly are so fun. 2nd place goes to boat boys and also i REALLY want to see cleo and etho team up more.

Favorite headcanon: i love any instance of 'etho is old enough that it affects how he functions as a person'. like he existed before weather so he doesn't feel temperature as much. he also doesn't sweat so he owns one outfit. he's a weird little artificial testificate of a man /pos

Idea for a story: you know those etho clones from episode 404. i think itd be fun if another hermit ran into them and theyre like "etho what the HELL is this" and he's like "oh you know" and doesnt explain further. make people realise etho is weird as hell. etc etc.

Here is the thing: Bdubs got what was coming to him. He has betrayed Grian with a Boogie Kill. He has killed Tango in another Boogie Kill just a few moments after Tango gave him a Life and brought him back to Yellow. Fuck's sake, he killed Lizzie in front of her husband and it is not payback for anything they have done to him (because they have not done anything to him).

And why should the red lives let him come back to the survivors? They are outnumbered enough as it is. They had no reason to spare him and way too many reasons to do what they did.

And also (he has not released his POV yet so I do not know why but) it looked like Bdubs only got hit once. The remaining Red Lives did not seem to expect for him to die that quickly.

Here is the other thing: As much as Bdubs's death was earned, I would still like to see Etho confront Grian. I still want to see him projecting and blaming the Reds when, if he had not hesitated in the first place (and in the second place), Bdubs would still be alive. Still Red, yes, but Pearl has 4 lives and could easily replace Tango as a life dispenser, if for one-time use only.

okie here are my thoughts on your points (btw i am not trying to start anything or say your opinions aren't valid, i just wanna talk about this bc i enjoy analysing 3rd Life!):

1) Bdubs's boogey kill on Grian was not a betrayal. they were not allies and there was no understanding to not kill him. it was the first boogey kill of the series; people were still working things out. imo Bdubs's boogey kill on Grian was no more a betrayal than Ren's boogey kill on Skizz or Scott's boogey kill on Impulse.

2) i have no way to justify Bdubs killing Tango after Tango gave him a life. trust me, i've spent a long time trying to figure out why he did it. and my conclusion is i think he shouldn't have. but arguably he got his comeuppance when he died to the wither: he lost the life he got from Tango.

3) i personally don't think Bdubs choosing Lizzie as his victim has any specific meaning, aside from maybe he thought she would be one of the easiest targets. he was desperate to get back to Etho and he wanted to get the kill done as soon as possible. he could've just as easily gone for Joel.

4) i don't think they knew the reasoning behind Bdubs's decision to kill a red name. i guess maybe they suspected but i believe Grian in particular thought he had just turned on the reds. but even if they did, even if they didn't want him to abandon them for the non-reds, that doesn't mean they were justified in killing him. understandable, yeah. but not necessary.

5) "The remaining Red Lives did not seem to expect for him to die that quickly." i do agree with you there. Grian seemed really shocked that he had actually killed Bdubs. maybe if he had missed, Bdubs would've gotten away.

in conclusion, i personally disagree saying Bdubs "got what was coming to him". do i love the poetry of Grian taking Bdubs's last life after Bdubs took his first? yes. (am i a hardcore NHO Duo apologist? also yes)

but, and i'm pretty sure someone's already pointed this out, c!Bdubs was not a lawless villain who only ever looked out for himself. he was loyal to Etho, perhaps to a fault. what he's done is questionable and i can't justify it all but in the end, he lived for Etho and he died for Etho.

and that's what makes it so interesting. aren't all 3rd Life permadeaths deserved in some way, even marginally?

Grian stands over Scar's broken body, his friend's blood spattering his face, clothes, dripping from his hands.

The crunching of breaking bones still rings in his ears, the pungent scent of brain matter hits his nose from where the rock he used to deal the killing blow had crushed Scar's skull and he falls to his hands and knees and vomits, vomits until his throat burns and there's nothing left to bring up.

He'd won, but it was a hollow victory.

Scar, Cleo, Bdubs, Impulse, Etho, Ren, not to mention all the new friends he'd made in his fellow prisoners in this cursed world. They're all gone; dead in violence and pain and betrayal.

He had to go back, to stop this from ever happening. To band together and beat this world together and survive.

But how?

It was hopeless.

The silence of the world is absolute but for him, his heart the last one left beating.

A heart that doesn't deserve to beat.

Grian drags himself back to his feet, staggering to the edge of the cliff he and Scar had fought on, and gazes at the precipitous drop below. He laughs dryly to himself; back on hermitcraft such a drop would be meaningless, and he feels his shoulders ache as he thinks back to when he first realised that this world had stolen his wings.

He can feel the drop pulling him in, and he lets it, his last thoughts as he closes his eyes and waits for oblivion lingering once again on that hopeless hope that could go back and do it over, to try something different, that maybe everyone can win.

Suddenly, he feels the ground beneath him. He's... not dead?

To his left and right and directly across from him, Grian can hear the voices of people stirring from unconsciousness, and his eyes fly open in shock.

Had... had he done it? Had he managed to reverse 3rd Life? Had he returned to the beginning?

"Grian?"

He freezes. Pearl wasn't here last time.

"Grian, mate, what's going on? Where are we?"

His heart sinks lower; not Mumbo too...

Sitting up, Grian looks around and sees all of his fellow victims of 3rd Life, but with several faces who weren't there when they'd first awoken.

While he's sat there, still in shock, Grian vaguely notices Scott approaching the enchanter out of the corner of his eye. Of course, that's where the rules had been last time.

"Welcome," he hears Scott read, "to Last Life."

to start with the Big stuff imma talk about scar + mumbo's respective scars

ik i didnt say it specifically, but when bdubs tells scar to be careful and he grabs his neck, he's grabbing at a scar (ha)

he got this from his first right hand man! bdubs is the second who got his position after helping save scar's life when the first guy attempted to kill him and take over Glass Empire

scar also has a few smaller face/shoulder/arms scars from the encounter, but the neck one is the biggest and the one that nearly killed him

bc of this, scar has an inverse relationship with trust! the more he trusts someone, the more he expects them to betray him. this does create relationship problems later but it's ok they'll figure it out <3

a lot of mumbo's scars actually come from him being a bit clumsy, tho ofc mr South mob boss will never admit this

most of the gunshot scars come from him takin hits for grian, tho some are jus his

the big ones, over his heart and around his side, come from the same event!

see mumbo used to be a mob boss in a different town (imma come up with names for the org/town/etc later) that was somehow worse than Heremita

it was worse bc every group had their own specific Thing they did to show that a certain kill was smth they had done- Heremita uses symbols

one of the groups 'thing' was cutting the heart out, sometimes keepin/displayin it in their main office if it was a significant murder

mumbo had met with that group's head in what was supposed to be a no-weapons discussion dinner, but the other guy drugged mumbo's drink and was pretty far into gettin his heart when mumbo managed to wake up enough to flee

he got the side cut in the scuffle that ensued when he got up and ran

that event is actually what led mumbo and grian to strike out in a new town, bc a move like that indicated their group was rapidly losin respect, and more bold attacks would follow. they set up at night in Heremita to establish themselves Big and fast

this is also why mumbo didnt take the painkillers from scar- he only accepts food/drink that grian gives him (he mostly jus makes his own) and anythin med related is usually a plain-out No

now to make things fair i will also talk about Grian's scars

grian also has a fair few gunshot wounds, most taken for mumbo, but not as many as mumbo. this is due to a mix of mumbo havin been at a higher position longer, and grian being better at dodging

however grian also has, going down both arms from shoulder to just above the wrist, a little more than a dozen (each arm) near-circle cuts around the arm that are straight-edged and evenly spaced

remember how i mentioned old town had Styles? yeah

grian didnt start out as mumbo's right-hand; he used to be a regular lackey who mumbo ended up takin a shine to and talkin with a lot

enemies thought he'd be a good target to kidnap and get info from, bc he was close to mumbo, but not high enough on the command chain to be noticed missin very soon

the lines are from torture- after each line, they ask if the victim wants to crack, and they cut again if the answer's no. the mix of prolonged pain and bloodloss is usually effective

grian Refused to break however, and was about to die for it, when mumbo, who did notice his absence right away, burst into the room with absolutely Zero back-up and beat the living shit out of everyone there

hazy from pain/bloodloss, grian watching mumbo commit what was probably several war crimes only to then very gently ask if grian was ok was a religious experience

if grian had it his way their first kiss wouldve been Right Then but mumbo thought he was just acting out of delirium and misplaced need to 'repay' mumbo- it took several days of recovery and grian proving he was lucid for them to get anywhere

altho grian isnt ashamed of his scars (bc he didnt break), in old town, they were usually pretty shameful- the only people who had those scars and lived were those who betrayed their organizations- so he usually keeps them covered

ok on to smaller details referenced but not fully explained in the text:

heremita Does follow the s7 mayor race in the sense that it has five major mobs- the South, Glass Empire, the Armory (false's), stress's, and doc's- and those bosses are all runnin for mayor

also similar to s7, false's method of trying to get votes is striking down members of opposing gangs to convince the people only the Armory can offer them satisfactory protection

this sometimes involves kidnapping members and then staging a fight-kill at the scene where false wants to plant her poster, again a la s7

scar's cane is not entirely for decorative/dangerous use! he does actually need it to walk long distances/for long amounts of time, due to various leg and lower back injuries he's sustained over the course of his time as Glass Empire's head

grian might technically be mumbo's right-hand, but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone in heremita who doesnt see him as a secondary head of the South. he goes with mumbo to all business meetings, and mumbo rarely says no to his ideas or suggestions for the org

most of the mobs have separate abandoned warehouses they do their tortuin/killin in. the End Crystal has one directly in it bc the South is Like That

not really lore, but all last names were picked in my attempt at fitting them with their minecraft names- Chronos is the personification of time, Eris the goddess of discord/chaos. since grian doesnt have anythin else to his minecraft name, Penemue is a 'watcher' angel and, in enochian lore, the scribe of god

and there is a lot of the lore!! not all of it, and not all of it is fleshed out, since i hadnt really been plannin on makin this much more than a one shot, but,,,,,, we'll see. i already have some good ideas if i were to do a sequel so ya never know ya never know

9. Pearl -> Phantump (Ghost-Grass Pokemon)

These pokemon are known for being lonely, as they are said to be created when the spirits of wandering children inhabit the stumps of trees that have been cut down. It also often accidentally gets people lost in its forest when it calls out to them, trying to make friends. Its evolution, the Trevenant, also tends to curse people. I feel like all that’s in line with double life pearl specifically lmao.

10. Cleo -> Piplup (Water Pokemon)

I chose piplup for cleo because theyre really picky with who they team with. In the manga, it took Platinum ages to get her piplup to trust her. You have to prove yourself worthy in order for them to team with them. Cleo tends to choose who she’s teamed with and sticks with them till the end – save for when she got betrayed in last life and completely raized the fairy fort to the ground. Idk, most of her teams have been built off of a mutual respect – Her and etho at the end of Last life, her and scott now in double life, etcetera etcetera.

11. Scar -> Purrloin

The only note i wrote down on this one was “duh” AJFHFND. To extrapolate on that brilliant note, let me copy down some descriptions of purrloin: “Purrloin is a mischievous Pokémon that likes to steal from people. Purrloin feels amusement from the frustration of those it steals from. It will put on a cute act in order to get its victims to let their guard down. Should this facade succeed, the victim is left with stinging scratches and broken pride from Purrloin's laughter. However, it is often forgiven even if it is caught stealing due to its charm.” (Bulbapedia). 

This was the first pokemon that I decided for a traffic lifer, it’s literally perfect for scar. Its a cat for goodness sake!!! This kitty is even listed in a “Most Mischievous Pokemon” list, where I got this absolute gem

12. Bdubs -> Sunkern (Grass Pokemon)

Look into those big ol’ eyes and tell me that isnt bdubs. They literally have the same face. In addition to that, its evolution, Sunflora, moves, and I quote, “in a hectic manner”, but when the sun sets it completely stops. I honestly think this fits bdubs just as much as purrloin fits scar lmao

13. BigB -> Teddiursa (Normal Pokemon)

Yet another case of pokemon bias. Its CUTE okay?? Its SO cute. LOOK at it!!! Anyways, a lot of this was based on vibes (and the fact that its SO CUTE OH MY GOD). I was going to choose the Swirlix bc they have an affinity for baked goods (y’know, cookie and all that) but the teddiursa has paws that taste like honey so i think that counts as well. I just think that bigb would make a good bear pokemon ^-^

Grian -> Trapinch (Ground-Dragon Pokemon)

This pokemon lives in the desert (coughcoughcough) and tends to make burrows a Trapinch. I found this relevant seeing as Grian has a habit of burrowing whenever he’s in trouble (In this case, hes doing it right now, in Double life, but he also did it in Third and Last life). The sound the vibrava’s wings make tends to give humans headaches. I found this relevant because the sound of Grian’s voice tends to give his friends headaches (/JOKE I swear). The flygon can make sandstorms with its wings to hide itself. I found this relevant because its super fucking cool.

OKAY okay okay i had SOOO much fun doing this, i spent hours looking through my pokemon book and even looking up some when i couldn't find one that matched perfectly. Some of these are based off of vibes and favoritism of pokemon, but i swear that i have great reasons for every pokemon i chose and i put real thought behind these. We’ll go in order of the pokemon alphabetically. !!Also, I have to make this in two posts bc of the ten-image limit. !! Ok? Ok!

Jimmy -> Absol (Dark Pokemon)

Ok this is literally the y/n pokemon. It even gets wings in its mega evolution!! But it matches jimmy for one important reason: the Absol showing up is a sign that a disaster is about to happen. Y’know, like a canary. (Fun fact: there is no canary pokemon, which is vv surprising to me.) Anyways the absol’s mega evolution can kill people by flapping its wings at them LOL. smth smth grian in 100hrs and all that

2. Martyn -> Chesnaught (Grass-Fighting Pokemon)

There are two reasons why I chose Chesnaught for martyn. One, i wanted him to be a grass type, bc idk he wears green!! It fits him. And two, i wanted him to be loyal. The enty for this pokemon says, “When its friends are in trouble, Chesnaught uses its own body as a shield. Its shell is tough enough to protect it from a powerful explosion.” So. that seems pretty loyal to me. I almost chose Sawsbuck, the deer pokemon, because it changes with the season and Martyn used to do that (his main skin is technically his “spring skin”, but i thought going for smth more focused on loyalty would be best.

3. Tango - Cyndaquil (Fire Pokemon)

I HAD to make tango a fire type, you know i couldnt not. This is an example of my favoritism, bc honestly i could have chosen any other fire type pokemon, but this ones always been my favorite. Anyways, this guy’s flames get hotter with its emotions, and prone to angry outbursts (cough cough last life lmao).

4. Joel -> Gengar (Ghost-Poison Pokemon)

I chose this guy simply bc of how SKRUNKLY he is. The bulbapedia describes him as, “… very mischievous, and at times, malicious. It enjoys playing practical jokes and casting curses, such as pretending to be one's shadow, then behaving erratically.” Very joel-y, in my opinion.

5. Ren -> Houndoom (Dark-Fire Pokemon)

This one was interesting. Theres no end to dog pokemon, but this one in particular was listed as loyal (It cooperates with others skillfully. When it becomes your partner, it's very loyal to you as its Trainer and will obey your orders) Seeing how in third and last life ren was ride-or-die with his chosen team, i thought this one was best. Also, its SUPER edgy so i thought it fit, given his tendency for dramatics (/lh). A high contender for Ren was the Aegislash, a sword pokemon that was commonly used by royalty, but its lore was a taaad too regicidal – and honestly, homicidal in general – to make the cut. (no pun intended)

6. Etho -> Lucario (Fighting-Steel Pokemon)

When i was choosing a pokemon for etho, i knew for a fact i wanted it to be a fighting type. This pokemon can sense the auras around people and pokemon and predict their movements. Etho has always felt like a very strategic guy to me, thought tbh im not sure if that was propaganda from the ethogirls or if its from my own perception of the guy. Anyways, they seemed to match each other. I almost chose the Oshawatt, bc idk i like the vibes, but it wasnt a fighting type.

7. Scott -> Lurantis (Grass Pokemon)

When looking for a pokemon for scott i wanted it to be some sort of flower-like pokemon, with the whole flower husbands and his love for cute things, but i wanted it to have a solid head on its shoulders. This pokemon is based off of the Orchid mantis, which i have been fascinated with for ages. It looks so pretty!! Anyways, this pokemon both looks like a flower and is known for its “elegant moves”. It is also very discerning when it comes to who it is loyal to. If you dont take care of it well enough, it wont trust you. I feel like that works for Scott a lot because he wont team up with anyone unless he really thinks its worth it.

id just like to add to the previous reblog (long post under the cut bc i have a LOT of thoughts, feelings, and opinions about 3L Skizz lmao):

from the START Skizz’s loyalty lay with Ren. Ren was one of the first people (if not THE first) Skizz saw in the series and the first thing he did was offer Ren shelter from the mobs and give him the leather he wanted for a book for an enchantment table, so it was Skizz’s leather that made the enchantment table Renchanting would later use. he also traded with Ren.

he enchanted his stuff at Renchanting when Martyn took him there and instead of making empty promises in return or just not paying like a lot of the others did, he immediately set off on a crusade to find sugarcane and spread the word of Renchanting to get them more customers. he also started to prove that he has a great dynamic with Ren and Martyn, having ��voice-modulator wars” with the latter when they found out they both had a voice changer. 

then Skizz makes that pact with Ren and Etho in the desert that they’ll kill each other last when they go red. only a few minutes later, Skizz loses his first life to an enderman. Ren and Etho bring him his stuff back and, despite being embarrassed, he remains optimistic and jokey about how he’s a step closer to red now.

this is when things amp up. Grian and red-life Scar visit him and tell him that they’ll give him his friend pass back if he lures Ren out of Dogwarts so they can set a trap for him. Skizz refuses, despite knowing this will put him on the hit list of the (at the time) only red life on the server. he even takes a boat down the river to Renchanting to warn Ren of what Scar and Grian are up to, refusing to go home even when they tell him they’ll reactivate his friend pass if he does. 

and this inevitably leads to Skizz’s second death. in his haste to protect Ren, he puts himself there outside Renchanting as Jimmy tries to disarm the tnt and ends up setting it off, killing himself, Skizz, and Ren. Skizz loses his second life in vain because Ren also ends up dying.

then the “his immediate concern and rush to protect Ren after his death on the altar” reminder that he was only wearing gold armour!! he saw the death in chat and, despite having recently died himself and lost all his stuff, IMMEDIATELY rushes over there in nothing but the gold armour BigB gave him. for all he knew, he might have to fight Martyn to the death! but he was gonna do it in gold armour because of his dedication and loyalty to Ren, and the only thought in his mind when he saw that death message was “oh my god Ren needs me RIGHT NOW”.

as the Red Army forms, Skizz is the first member outside of the original duo. he very obviously becomes the heart of the group. as a previous reblog said: “he was all conviction and action, constantly working to help Dogwarts, constantly looking for a leg up to solidify Dogwarts as a group that cant be pushed around anymore”. almost everything he did from then out was for Dogwarts. 

a moment that stands out to me is when he’s handing out golden apples for everyone and he has one spare. does he keep it for himself? no. he gives it to Ren. and i would also like to point out that Skizz is the only one other than Martyn who starts calling Ren “my king”. he does get into the roleplay towards the end.

and again like a previous reblog said, even though he slipped into the bloodlust and allowed himself to kill, it wasn’t for no reason. Jimmy’s death occurred in the middle of a battle between the desert and Dogwarts. yes he didn’t HAVE to kill Cleo but Cleo did attack Ren first. REN, the man Skizz essentially sacrificed his second life for. the man he’s been dedicated to since the very first episode. it is understandable that this would cause something to snap inside Skizz.

but the third victim of Skizz’s bloodlust was himself. in the heat of battle outside the crastle, goaded by the knowledge that the enemy held something precious to Ren, he rushed in and made a desperate attempt to get it back and/or kill someone else in the process. but Grian was too good and he took Skizz down. maybe it was because Skizz was blinded by bloodlust and Grian was still a clear-thinking green. 

Skizz was very much the heart of Dogwarts. after his death, Martyn expressed being “exhausted and upset and hurt”. Ren named the netherite sword Skizz gave him (the one he took from Grian, i believe) “The Skizz Blade” and it claimed two lives in Skizz’s name. Skizz’s death marked the beginning of the end for Dogwarts. they lost their heart when Skizz died and it lost them the war. 

but the important takeaway for me here is that all three of Skizz’s deaths were in the presence of Ren. the first one, Ren was there when he died to the enderman. the second one, they died at the same time. and the third one, Ren was right outside the building and, narratively, could probably see Skizz’s death happen through the window. 

3L!Skizz lived his life for Ren and eventually died for Ren too.

Smplive Wilbur and Bdubs swap?

Wilbur walks into Hermitcraft, and, much the same way Techno absolutely does not vibe with being stuck in Mianite, Wilbur does not vibe with being stuck in Hermitcraft. He tries to go home through the portal, realizes he can't, tries to find some people, meets the hermits, and decides 'no, this is too much, I think I'm going to simply not deal with my problems' and basically goes into hiding. He comes out occasionally to be a dirty crime boy and general nuisance, stealing shit, pulling pranks, ect., and then goes back into his base. The only person he talks to voluntarily and actually respects enough to not routinely prank or steal from is Doc. Because of this, Xisuma, who's trying to figure out what the hell went wrong that caused Wilbur to end up here and also where Bdubs went, uses Doc as basically a messenger between him and Wilbur. Also for some reason Grian keeps finding literally every single one of Wilbur's bases, no matter how hidden it is, no matter how many traps and security systems he installs, he always gets in, and every time Wilbur immediately moves and finds a new base. Don't tell Wilbur but at a certain point Doc totally started selling him out to Grian, and don't tell the hermits but Wilbur may or may not be slowly warming up to their world and the idea of accepting their help to get back home.

Bdubs ends up in Smplive, and is a lot more accepting to the idea of being stuck in another place until he can find his way home. I mean, he's a bit freaked out at first, but he convinces himself that he can handle it. He's a pretty chill dude when people are nice to him, but he's also pretty naive, so after being greeted pretty kindly by most of the members of smplive, he's also quick to fall victim to the large array of pranks and traps they subject eachother to in the world. Bdubs is, however, used to pranks and traps bc of Hermitcraft, maybe not quite as aggressive ones as those in smplive, but enough so that he can deal with it, and eventually end up firing back at them. Maybe there's a prank war? Who's to say?

GoodTimesWithScar and Tom Syndicate get mixed up

So Scar ends up in Mianite and is all like 'oh yeah I'm a wizard' and the Mianite wizards are all like ':0 another wizard!' Except Scar is still really underdeveloped in terms of his skill at actually using magic so the Mianite wizards help him learn more about his magic! (I like the concept of Scar actually being a wizard and having magic okay fight me he deserves it >:P)

Meanwhile, back in Hermitcraft everyone is trying to figure out wtf to do with Tom, who does not know how to not cause massive amounts of problems by stealing shit and burning things so he becomes like a server wide criminal and no one knows what the fuck he's talking about ever when he talks about Mianite and for some reason despite his recklessness no one can ever seem to catch him, and also they have no idea where Scar went so there's that problem.

this is actually scarily similar not necessarily in terms of what's going on but in terms of the character dynamics that get brought up :0 Gem and Impulse but especially Gem are my main characters bc to me they have strong Athena and Apollo energy where they keep trading who the straight man is at any given time. Cleo is the main prosecutor for the middle of the case with Pearl as the final case prosecutor, and either Grian or Joel as a tutorial prosecutor. Martyn and Jimmy are the main detectives. Pearl used to be a prosecutor and Scott used to be a detective but they both switched to defense after the this-all-started-X-years-ago case that they, Martyn, Jimmy, and Cleo were all involved in. Martyn is the victim in the final case and either Jimmy or Cleo the defendant (Cleo might also be a second victim? i havent nailed out the details.) everyone else im keeping to use as potential victims, killers, defendants, and witnesses.

i caught myself thinking "is letting pearl in my aa au have tilly at the prosecutor's bench with her too absurd" and then reminded myself that not only did a canon ace attorney prosecutor bring his pet hunting falcon to court with him, said prosecutor was a convicted felon on death row at the time
