[Album] BC Camplight veröffentlicht "The Last Rotation Of Earth" im Mai!

BC Camplight kündigt ein neues Album namens "The Last Rotation Of Earth" für den 12. Mai 2023 auf Bella Union an!

Während der Aufnahmen zu dem neuen Album zerbrach die Beziehung des Multiinstrumentalisten zu seiner Verlobten nach neun langen Jahren. Das Album folgt dieser Trennung inmitten langjähriger Kämpfe mit Suchterfahrungen und mentalen Herausforderungen. “More cinematic, sophisticated and nuanced than anything I’ve done before. And more desperate”. 95 % dessen, was Brian Christinzio bereits für ein kommendes Album aufgenommen hatte, verwarf dieser in Folge der Monate später, um das neue Werk dann in wenigen Wochen von Grund auf neu fertig zu stellen. „It is the result of an illness that I've battled my whole life. It isn't something that the world has done to me. It's the world I live in and it's no one's fault.”

"The Last Rotation Of Earth" ist ein berauschendes, schweres Stück voller strahlender Hooks und gebrochener Paranoia, wobei BC Camplights düsterer Humor als Auflockerung auch erneut wieder Einzug auf den neun Songs findet. “I wanted to make the songs resemble little films, with lots of ideas”, so Christinzio. “I love surprises in music, which work against what we are trained to expect in a song.” 

Das eröffnende Titelstück untermalt dabei mit groovigen Pianolines und melancholischen Country-Vibes die Perspektive eines Mannes, der das letzte bisschen Leben in sich aufsaugt. „I do everything in my power not to be dramatic, but I didn’t want to be alive anymore. So, I imagined what your last day on earth would be like.”
