It's crazy to think of the changes that have happened over the past year that have contributed. Finding motivation back for eating better, finding the confidence to remove chemicals from my body (hormonal contraceptives) and also finally getting back into #bbg . Those who know me, know I've been on and off with the #bbgguide for a few years, but the past year has been a lot more committed. I haven't followed it exactly, but regularly enough to make a difference. trying new things
- kayla itsines bbg start today and i’m joining and my goal is to see it through. i’ve had the guide for 2 years now so it’s about time i saw it through!
- i’ve decided to take a walk everyday to get in a bit of exercise, fresh air, me time etc.
- MASTERS MASTERS MASTERS on my mind and fingertips for the rest of jan and feb, it will be done. 
- my life philosophy as i enter my 30s is to LIVE SIMPLY. therefore i’m simplifying my needs and wants and decluttering my life.
- practice gratitude and happiness everyday. 
- reflect daily which means i will be writing in my journal, one line or thousand as long as i have an entry for the day. 
- last, i’ve decided to give up alcohol and sugar this year because i want to live a cleaner lifestyle.
- i’m going to start meditating for 15 minutes each day. 
- currently reading and practising: Matthieu Ricard’s ‘on happiness’

It’s Almost That Time...
So I can’t believe how fast the past month has flown by, I’ve just about completed my first four weeks of Kayla Itsines’s Bikini Body Guide 1.0 (I still need to complete the Week 4 Full Body workout, as I wasn’t feeling well this past weekend)! While I feel as though my dietary choices have substantially improved these past few weeks, and I’ve managed to crave more healthy foods, I still am working towards a more healthy lifestyle in terms of foods.  However, in regards to the workouts themselves, I am so impressed with how far I have come.  While I could barely do a pushup or nearly any upper body workouts at the beginning of my journey, I am so proud of the progress I have already seen in these four weeks!
However, tomorrow is the first day I will take pictures to judge my progress thus far...and I’m terrified.  Body image has never been an easy thing for me, and I fear that I will be too hard on myself, and I am scared to compare my initial to four week images.  I have grown addicted to looking at others’ progress photos and I fear that tomorrow I will fall into the pointless, yet inevitable, trap of comparing my progress to that of others.  
So tonight I am focusing on the positive, which is the fact that I feel much stronger and happier with my lifestyle choices, and hopefully I will see some physical evidence of this progress!

Week Two
Week two has been interesting and annoying. Monday: W2 legs and cardio: was quite happy with this got through each circuit 1 and 1/2 times. Tuesday: swim interval training Wednesday: ended up going up north with work and didn't come home till late on Friday evening. So that was rather annoying. While there we did approximately between 8-10 mile orienteering team building thing. Up and down stupid hills in 23C heat. I'm telling you now, was fun at the time and my body has not stopped aching all day today. Therefore I've decided I'm gonna re-do week 2 next week. Think that is the fairest and best thing. I want to do this properly. Hopefully no more long work trips get in the way for the next 11 weeks.
