This is actually something I never considered, the 1st juror sets the tone for the whole jury.

Like let’s say for example Blue was 1st Juror and was super bitter (IMO Blue and Felicia have high bitter juror potential) because Blue and next Juror (Felicia) are stuck in jury alone for a week, that bitterness multiples and spreads and get's added to the 3rd juror on sight.

Unrelated to anything else happening today, BB23 had one of my favorite casts of all time. Truly the largest number of people that I wanted to root for since BB17. Tiffany, Azah, Hannah, Claire, DX, Britini… we had them all in one season, we were blessed.

To be fair the tag and Twitter/I guess the bb fandom as a group also get super pissy when players try to make game moves that don’t benefit who they are rooting for. I think it’s just human nature to get frustrated and annoyed when someone is trying to block you from getting something that you want. So even though it’s silly to expect someone to not fight for their life I think houseguests should be allowed to rant and be as angry about it as the people watching get. (Plus like I said the fandom is full of reactionary people is it any surprise that when those same people get cast on the show they keep their personalities lmao)

I’ve noticed it often in the tag the last few years that whenever a houseguest makes a move that benefits their own game and not a faves, ppl get so upset. And like you said that is totally valid and its human nature to get frustrated by it.

I just view gameplay pretty neutrally even when i have faves bc at the end of the day there’s only one winner and each houseguest is trying to get there in their own way. So even if i don’t particularly like how they’re playing or if it doesn’t benefit my fav, i can’t fault them for it especially if it’s a strategy that’s working for them.

It’s kinda like how in BB23 with the CO and how they each had to make sacrifices in their own games to successfully reach the final 6. And while it was frustrating/hurt to watch sometimes, especially for Hannah and Tiffany, at the end of the day they played that way for the greater good bc of what the CO making it to the end of the game represented.

You can be frustrated for sure, but you also gotta remember it’s a game too, and everyone in there has gotta play it. And this includes the ppl in the house too.

Its very annoying how nowadays in BB being on the block is this death sentence bc of the groupthink and “do what the hoh wants” mentality. Ppl are meant to campaign to stay and prove why they should not be voted out. That’s why they have like 3-4 days before eviction after nominations are locked. Those extra days aren’t just to pack your bags and leave. You’re supposed to fight to stay. That’s just the game.

“Very frustrating in The BB house.” Is Honestly SUCH an arrangement of words that the tag needs sometimes. The tag is very quick to be judgmental and write off someone’s entire personhood based on how they’re playing the game. It’s a reality show at the end of the day. Some people are just not going to make palatable decisions, or have that likable personality onscreen (even during live feeds) or just. . will never anger or frustrate you sometimes. Some people are going to be less tolerable players to watch than others and that’s okay.

I remember when Azah got Hannah out, even though to me, it made perfect sense for Azah’s perspective; it was so startling how quick people were to attack her personally for her poor game move and evicting who is basically a fan favorite. This happens a lot. A lot of people are confused by the BB23 class being tight knit right after the game was over because of it.

I think we all got caught up in how fun it was to come into the tag and roast hgs every year and give them mean little nicknames, that some of us forgot that these are real people. They present the version of themselves that they deem the most tv-safe so we’ll never truly know how they act irl. They’re also in an environment with lights on 90% of the time, living with people they never met before, playing for money. All those things factor into how someone plays whether we like it or not.

There have been some people over the years who I’ve hated gameplay-wise but turned around and loved them post season. The stan wars blow my mind bc at the end of the day these are normal ass people living on a set playing silly little games every week. We don’t have to take it to a level where we’re condemning randos that we’ll probably never see again once the season is over.

The stakes aren’t high enough to genuinely write off hgs for game moves we don’t like bc it doesn’t actually reflect them completely. We don’t know them and at the end of the day, watching bb and hanging out in the tag is a hobby that /should/ feel fun.

bbott was the last truly epic season imo with great drama, a split house, interesting and entertaining houseguests etc...bb16 was terrible and way too "nicey" with the most bland, tame houseguests after the chaos of bb15 which IMO is a super underrated series with heated drama and elissa, amanda, etc.. bb17 was a bloody fantastic season with vanessa's psychosis but st*ve won so its a bit tainted in my eyes.. bb18 was cursed with ratcole but she was a deserving winner it was just boring AF. bb19 was one of the worst casts of all time and the only saving grace was jessica and cody. bb20 i barely remember any of that season? i LOVED kaitlyn though. best hg in zonks! bb21 was also a contender for one of the worst ever casts, i stopped watching after a few episodes because it was so terrible. bb22 was the allstars season but again all the shit people made it to the end so it was just boring AF (i lost interest when janelle went home). bb23 was a fun season and had great houseguests that made it all the way but it lacked a lot of drama. the final 3 was super boring but i loved hannah, tiffany, claire and even sarah beth was a fantastic villain. i didnt watch bb24 at all but I heard taylor was a good winner. this season..jurys still out..
