Bazz loves the idea of having children with you

he’s dreamt about it for such a long time

but he knows that Zora/Hylian reproduction wouldn’t work

you two talk about it daily

“You know I want nothing more than to have a family with you, right?”

you two decide adoption is the best route to go

and you’re both so happy with this decision

you both adopt a Zora egg

and it’s the smallest one you’ve ever seen

you’ve never seen Bazz be so gentle with ANYTHING

and here he is, cradling this egg with so much love

about a month of so after adopting, the egg hatches

Bazz is adamant about taking the baby to work with him when he does surveys

that way you can get a break

and so he can teach your little one some really cool Zora Guard stuff

it’s nice to get a day to yourself

it’s not unusual for Bazz to come home feeling tired

he’ll normally bring himself in for a hug, wrapping his arms around you softly and rest his chin on your shoulder

today though…

that’s not the case

he walks through the door with droopy eyes

almost as if he’s been crying in his office

perhaps that’s why he was late getting home 

he gives you his usual hug, but with less excitement

you hold him tightly 

and he doesn’t let go

he tightens his hold on you slightly and sighs into your neck

it had been a long day for him

“What’s bothering you, Bazz?”

and he just lets out a soft whine

you rub his back gently, feeling this warm breath on your skin

“Can we forget our responsibilities and live somewhere less… occupied?”

his question takes you by surprise

“What do you mean, Bazz?”

he lifts his head to look at you

“Day after day, it’s all the same. The meetings, the training schedules, the surveys of the domain… I could go on. And as much as I love it all… I’m so overwhelmed by this feeling of dread. Am I going mad?”

you pull him back in

“No, Bazz. You’re not crazy.”

he tightens his hold on you even more

“I promise you’re not. But, maybe you should take some time away and relax. It has been a while since you’ve given yourself a break. And you deserve it. You work so hard to take care of me. Let me take care of you for a change.”

you can feel his smile return

Bazz decides to take a break from work 

and the both of you travel around the domain

Bazz finally has some time away from work

and you really want to do something special

he’s been working his tail off all week

and he definitely deserves a sweet treat

he’s always said he’s not much on sweets

but you know that’s a lie by the way he looks at your snacks

and then when he asks if he can have a bite

“My father once said I wasn’t allowed to like sweet things. He always claimed they’d make me… too likable.”

“You know that’s not true, right?”

so, you decide to make him his very own sweet treats

“What is that delightful aroma?”

he walks into the kitchen with a smile, wrapping his arms around you softly

there’s flour spread across your cheeks and forehead

and Bazz thinks you are so ADORABLE

he pulls you close and kisses your nose

you guide him and give him simple directions

and he is loving this time spent with you

you’re both having so much fun

Bazz is sneaking little bites of the ingredients

and you pretend not to notice

because why ruin his fun?

and soon the place starts to smell so sweet

Bazz is trying so hard to hide his excitement over the baked goods

and he’s having a very hard time doing so

you both pass the time by cleaning up the kitchen

once your treats are finished, you grab them from the oven and set them on the counter to cool

he’s almost always on the clock, making sure no harm comes to the domain

like Sidon, he’s eager to help in any way he can

however, he’s much more calm and collected

he’s not much for pda

you may get a kiss on the hand or a small peck from him in public

he tries to be as professional as he can

but when you finally get some time alone...

he’s all over you

he wants to hear all about your day and the exciting things you’ve done

and your touch makes him feel so warm and cozy

he loves to take you to the places around the domain when he gets the chance

especially those spots that overlook the Akkala region (as many Zora’s don’t get to experience the wondrous plains because of the danger that still resides in Hyrule)

he brings flowers back to you after venturing out for work almost always

and you absolutely adore it

he’s extremely passionate about your relationship 

and if anyone hurts you, he has the entire Zora Guard on watch

you are his favorite person

and despite being a Hylian, Seggin, his father, is quite fond of you

Bazz would do anything and everything to keep you happy

he often tells you stories about how Link taught him swordsmanship and how much fun it was

he’ll teach you some basics if you’re new to swordplay

and it often ends with him telling you how wonderful you are

he loves how independent you are

because he knows you’re capable of taking care of yourself when he’s tied up with work

okay, again, had to write both of these, because you can’t not get Bazz content from me now. i know i write this man to be a blubbering mess of anxiety, but i wanted some angst, too, so i hope you’re okay with that (and i’m sure you are from the ask lolllll). i loved writing this one, and i hope you enjoy :) <3

Bazz is so passionate about your relationship 

and he would go to the ends of the earth to please you

but when you two argue, it’s usually over something little

but oh boy does it escalate 

and it escalates quick

you both get extremely heated

you’ll try to talk it out, but it will get to be too much

and you’ll definitely get a sarcastic “I’m sorry!”

“I didn’t realize it was suuuuch a big deal, y/n!”

*insert an eyeball from Bazz here*

because Bazz absolutely thinks you’re overreacting

the little things do matter, even to him

but instead of admitting he needs some space to think, Bazz will storm off

he’s so upset, but mostly at the situation 

because it’s stupid

he’ll end up saying something he doesn’t mean

because he’s ANGRY

and you’re FURIOUS at him for taking it so far

but here’s the real kicker

he’s absolutely in denial about being in the wrong

and it will follow him to work

he’ll be upset with the guard members for no reason

and he doesn’t even have to explain 

they know what’s going on just from the way he’s behaving 

because he wouldn’t behave like that after an argument with anyone else

“Are you alright Captain? You seem a little... agitated...”

“I’m fine!” *door slamming sound here*

and once he realizes that he needs to apologize

or after he’s heard from someone in the domain about how you’ve been an emotional wreck

he’ll isolate himself somewhere EXTREMELY secluded

because he can’t have the members of the Zora Guard seeing their captain cry

he’s so hard on himself after

he knows you need your space as well

so he’ll stay with Seggin until he knows you’re ready to talk

or at least until he calms down

he’ll ask Seggin for advice, which usually helps him to mellow out

“The little things do matter, Bazz. And you know that. Even if you’re not in the wrong in this specific situation, you are absolutely in the wrong for reacting the way you have. I’m disappointed in you.”

and he’s a BIG mess after that conversation

and he’ll come home late in the night to you already in bed

he’ll crawl into bed with you and snuggle close, kissing your cheek

you can feel the tears on his face

“You don’t have to respond right now. I know you’re angry at me, and you should be. I’m angry at me, too. But, I wanted to apologize. Since it’s late, let’s get some sleep. We can discuss it in the morning, okay? I love you, my precious minnow.”

And in the morning, you make breakfast together

you sit down to chat while eating

and you’ll both end up apologizing

“I shouldn’t have reacted that way, and I’m very sorry I hurt you, y/n. You deserve better, and I need to be better… for you. I love you more than words can say, y/n, and I hope you’ll forgive me.”

Bazz was so much easier for me this go around, and maybe because i KNEW he’d want to distract you from the situation. and let’s be real here, this man would absolutely make a blanket/pillow fort to hide in with you. he may be stern in the public’s eye, but deep down, this man issue hilariously cute

Bazz hears the wind start to pick up outside

and thankfully he’s home when it does

he takes a deep breath before checking on you

and you haven’t even heard it yet

“Darling, just so you’re aware, it’s supposed to storm in a little while.”

and you look at him with wide eyes

“I know you tend to get… scared, and I’m here if you need anything, okay?”

and you nod, becoming quite wary of the situation

“Oh, my angelfish. Let’s find something to do, okay?”

he’s so good at keeping you distracted

and his first instinct is to grab all the pillows and blankets and put them in the floor

“What do you say we make a little fort, hmm?”

you both spend the next half hour putting together the BEST blanket/pillow fort you can

and once it’s done, Bazz grabs snacks and activities fro you both to enjoy

he keeps you entertained for quite some time

he reads to you

and tells you so many jokes

he’s so silly when he’s trying to distract you

you both talk about your day

“And the best part was coming home to you.”

thunder shakes the floor

and you grab Bazz’s arm so quickly

“Hey hey hey. Y/n, look at me. Look at me. It’s okay. You’re okay. I’m right here ”

he holds you so tightly

“Do you want me to fight it off for you?”

Bazz leaves the blanket fort, grabs his spear, and starts ‘pretend sparring’ the air

he pulls you into his lap as you giggle at him

“Funny request based on something that happened to me at the gym today: I love the gym, but there are so many creepy guys sometimes! Today I was focusing on my RDLs (because glutes 💅) and these two guys joined me a little bit to close and were doing random workouts, like not even complete sets just trying to look busy- I swear it was like a scene from a movie!! One started randomly doing super fast push-ups. Anyways, I gave them the side eye every time one tried to sneak behind me and when we made eye contact he’d stop and go back to where he was. When I finished my sets and made it clear I was done doing glutes they suddenly walked away like nothing ever happened. 🧐 I really wish I had a woman’s only gym on campus!

and the fact that you actually like going makes him love it even more

most of the time, he stays pretty close you you

but if he’s ever not within reach, he always has his eyes on you

if he ever starts to notice people trying to get your attention

he immediately interferes

and it’s not that he’s insecure about your relationship

it’s the furthest thing from that

he just want’s to make sure that you’re safe and feeling okay

plus, he absolutely has to assert his dominance over these pesky interlopers
