I don't think tanks exist in Remnant Which is really weird cause you don't need Huntsman to operate them. And i'm pretty sure they could fuck up any grimm just about Like the main Canon could take out heavily armored opponents. The .50 bmg Takes out smaller ones.

I'm... not sure how to approach this one. Like, the premise is neat, but Jaune being from Louisiana is already a wild concept. By this logic, not only does Jaune not have aura, but likely never will, nor will he have a semblance. Not to mention that Jaune doesn't really strike me as the mechanical engineer type, granted his growing up in LA could change his personality just a tinge. Personally, if I was going to make Jaune from down that way, I'd make him a chef, whipping up some delicious rice and shrimp into a gumbo, though I'm not really an expert on what does on in the southeastern US.

As for the presence of tanks, I will agree that it is odd, but one thing to consider is that RWBY has kind of evolved past tanks. Maybe in the Great War there were tanks, but in the current era with hard-light shields, automaton soldiers, and walking mechs, RWBY has probably gone Metal Gear and evolved their weaponry to an era beyond fuel and low-impact bullets. It kinda makes sense since you've got huge, armored Grimm running around, like Ursa, Beowolves, and Beringels. Heck, the armor might even be too thick for mortar fire.

But yeah, this is a neat AU, though it might need a little tweaking. Jaune being a redneck engineer from Louisiana and building tanks seems just a WEE BIT out of character for him. Now, if it was Ruby, that'd be different, since she's already a gun nut.

Though, I remember a couple stories from this ask. The first one that comes to mind is an OLD RWBY AU idea I had about Jaune being an investigative journalist lost in the bayou with Ruby (Bayou AU). Another was an incorrect quote from Far Cry 6, which led a little bit into Jaune and Ruby making plans for a tank he made a long time ago. I dunno, those are just some ideas I had.

rand is an earth pony- rachel was the only unicorn in their family since their grandparents. rolan is a changling who doesn't know he's a changling, and kian is a pegasus from a magic focused family trying to hide the fact he never learned how to fly.

in the concept I have for this au the plot is pretty much the same as normal bitb but they're. erm. friendship ponies now.

fun facts about this au! the three of them have matching cutiemarks with dnd dice in them, cmc style, but their friendship fell apart anyways :(

also, I imagine that by making his final sacrifice to defet the queen, rolan gains his like. reedemed changling form? he still loses himself, though.

LOCATIONS

The Wishing Pond

A small Pond located in the very far left top corner of the Territories, who's water flows gently into a small river surrounding Riptideclan's marked territory. It serves the same purposes as the moonpool, though at certain times of the year, the water glows a strange golden purple, allowing medicine cats and leaders alike to make a wish to the cat residing inside it.

The Flowing Cascade

Three small, protruding rocks on the cliffside of a waterfall. Situated in the very middle of the Territories, this waterfall continues to flow, spreading across the forest in a multitude of rivers such as the one leading to the Wishing Pond. These rocks serve the same purpose as the Fourtrees, granting three clans to have a meeting every full moon. Riptideclan, being unacknowledged by Starclan, Is not invited — though they've managed to sneak in on occasion. All three other active clans take part in the gathering, though Goreclan is always reluctant to do so.

The City

Lavenderpaw's birth location. Not much is known about it, though he says it is very far away and everything is quite different from the Territories.

Burnt-Down Place

You could once find a twoleg village in his empty location, which has now been burnt to the ground by a forest fire. There's nothing left but a few empty carcasses of what once were twoleg nests.

Twoleg Place

A small town located near Goreclan. The Fangs and the Ravens are often found stalking the streets of such, and Clan cats tend to avoid overstepping their territory.

The Overhill

A bigger twoleg place situated right on top of the hill rockfallclan made its camp next to. Disposes of its trash by throwing it inside the river its settled next to, which then ends up inside the clan's camp, rendering it filthy.

???

A large twoleg nest filled with various cages and equipment of unknown origin. No twolegs roam this place anymore. Some of the Discarded still use it as a nest, especially to hide themselves from the weather at times, though it is not filled with enjoyable memories.

The woods,” said Colleen, pointing her solo cup to the woods, “Ten minutes in the bayou, Sam.” “Sounds like the start of a horror film,” said Nat, shaking her head, “You can’t ask him to just walk into the woods.” “Hey. No. Dare is a dare. It’s not like I don’t know the woods next to my own house. It’s not even dark yet,” said Sam. There wasn’t really a fence between Sam’s backyard and the woods that backed up to his home. He spent most of his childhood exploring those woods with his siblings. He would be okay at the edge of the woods for ten minutes in broad daylight. “Better save me some of those cupcakes for when I return,” said Sam as he began walking to the tree line. “Will do!” yelled Misty as Sam made it into the woods.
