@nevertem
He swore, for a second, there was nothing in the other ones face... nothing of a light or life- what a beautiful sight... to be completely blasted from existence and fading into nothingness. A shudder crawled up his back... and then he faced the host, that Yuugi Mutou, vessel of the nameless king.
"You seem to be uncomfortable~ there is no need to struggle. Surrender and this duel will be at its end." A dark grin was etched into his face... the pharaoh would be lost then... and he could carve and reshape chaos into the foundation of this world-
There was a small tick taking over the nerves of his eye, once he realized that something was taking a grip of the other... something truly unexpected. Not only was the Millennium Puzzle glowing, used to draw on the magic of the realm, it also looked like the realm ITSELF was using it, since that was what crawled onto the poor boys body now-
How very strange and interesting.
He let himself relax, while he watched the strange going ones around the other ones body... like the realm had already decided the fate of the other one in the middle of their game... and while he didn't like to receive a nice kill of his own in the end, he had to admit his own fascination, when the other one seemed to be gruesomely sacrificed to a higher being... Gods above, it looked like a DREADFUL end.
The horror still hung in the air, as well as his fey rapture, before something jumped into the skin... something that didn't seem to look at him, something that SAW into him.
Gazing into the abyss, the abyss gazed back into him and made a nest in his very soul... something that once touched you would never fully vanish. How romantic those words could have sounded, if the being that had sprung to life before him wasn't something created from pure horror and the darkest depths of darkness.
He knew his way around a chaotic mind, him of all things on this earth... but that creature would have bested him on the grounds of that any old day. He could FEEL it.
"That depends." He hummed, the echo of the words thrown at him in his head like a fanfare, ecstasy and existential dread formed into a deadly poison in his gut.
"I have had my fair share of defeating the Nameless today..." His lips twitched slightly, as if that was a secret joke. He wanted to know what this was... what being held this amount of darkness to them that it felt like his skin would curl from his body if he got any closer.
"Is it senseless to take on another~? Tell me, where is that precious king? Hiding behind you in the dark? Or did I finally end his miserable existence for good measure."
He wasn't sure, if he wanted to dance with the chaotic nature of this darkness or run from it like a child from their nightmares. Something primal inside him was confused beyond measure.

Confrontation
@baby-panda-yugi
Leysa had been waiting for this moment. Building her deck, borrowing her friends star chips, sneaking onto the boat to Duelist Kingdom, it all was made for this.
Confront Yugi, defeat him, destroy the puzzle.
But try as she might she didn’t account for the fact that while she was a capable duelist, Yugi was always better.
She had lost.
However instead of accepting her defeat gracefully she charged at her brother and grabbed at the millennium puzzle. She had watched Yugi work at that stupid thing for eight years but now she wished their Grandpa had never given it to him.
“What did I do!?” She demanded to know.
“Ever since we were born we’ve always been together! Twins! Best Friends Forever!! Completely inseparable!!
“But after you finished this puzzle you left me behind! Why did you replace me?! Why would you rather spend time with the people who bullied you instead of me!?”
Leysa sobbed as she gripped onto Yugi’s Millenium Puzzle like a life raft.
“What did I do wrong!? What did I do Yugi-Nii!!”
#we touched on battle city now let’s do Duelist Kingdom#baby panda yugi#verse: duellist#verse: duelist#yugi nii (Yugi)

[ SHIELD ]: in order to protect her from physical harm caused by a third party, luxanna shoves katarina against the wall and shields her with her body.
could work in battle academia or star guardians verse best in my opinion! ✨
— @seekslight
Somewhere nearby, she can hear Ezreal shout the name of one of his moves. To the side, amidst the chaos of clashing weapons, Jayce's hammer hits something with enough strength to overpower other sounds momentarily. Katarina can't see them, and, at that moment, she's too busy with her own opponents to be able to help.
The numbers would have overwhelmed a lesser assassin; she knows — and was taught — to strike from the shadows, avoid disadvantage, never meet an adversary head-on like this. But she hadn't ever minded those rules much, and it proved useful now, daggers finding one mark after the other, silver flashing while speed made her little more than a blur of pink hair.
Absorbed in the combat around her, she failed to perceive another approaching threat while falling the last of her enemies. She cannot see the blast of energy coming until any reaction would come inevitably too late; yet what collides against her body is instead another's form, Lux shoving her aside. Her shoulder hits the wall hard, pain spreading through her arm, the attack meant for her kept at bay by the other girl.
"Lux — !" The pain isn't enough to slow her down, and in a second Katarina rushes back to her side. "That was so damn stupid —" And yet, despite her words, there's obvious concern in her gaze, fear that the other had gotten really hurt. "Are you okay?"

CC's New Watch Ranking - June 2023
Every month on Letterboxd, I make a list of the 10 best films I’ve seen for the first time. It’s a fun way to compare movies separated in time, genre, and country of origin, and helps me keep track of what I’m watching! This is a breakdown of those films.
June! An exhausting month. We wrapped on the movie after a number of 12+ hour days. That, on top of two new jobs that picked up this month, turned June into a stressed mess for me. I spent a lot of time in bed and in the garden, trying to quiet an overstrained brain. For the first time in three years, I have seen only the 10 films on this list this month! That’s why Zaslav felt safe firing all the TCM folks, he knew I was away. But this gives me a chance to discuss some movies I wasn’t crazy about and explore why. There’s something to be learned from every film, even those that don’t please. (I am going to yadda-yadda through some entries, though.)
Click below to read the breakdown! Click HERE to view the list on Letterboxd!
10. Night Moves
1975- Arthur Penn
Was kind of disappointed that this didn’t move for me as it does for others! It reminded me too much of this schlocky film I watched earlier this year Stick. Stick had Burt Reynolds going to Miami to be a double-agent chauffeur for the mob. Or something. Night Moves had the exact same thing happen? Or something? Maybe that’s on me for not paying better attention.
I promised myself I would explore why this didn’t capture me. The best I got is that it’s a slow moving mystery centered on a rather boring figure. Next!
9. Bringing Up Baby
1938 - Howard Hawks
See, I heard about this movie a long time ago. Never in my life did I think the ‘Baby’ in the title was a leopard! This is a fun slapstick comedy about a man who fumbles his hot paleontologist wife for a pathologically lying Katherine Hepburn. I get it, who wouldn’t do the same in that situation, but I was surprised there wasn’t more back and forth between Hepburn and Grant’s fiance. Not quite as charming as another slapstick comedy on this list, but still immensely satisfying.
Cary Grant in a fluffy nightie? 👀 Reeks of gender.
8. Bend of the River
1952 - Anthony Mann
The river! It bends! I find myself watching a lot of pre-1955 movies while I’m doing other tasks. Cowboy flicks and noirs make great background noise. Their rhythms and plots can be so predictable that you can fall right back in if you lose attention for a few minutes. This one gripped me, though. My cinematic nemesis James Stewart plays a black hatted cowboy trying to reinvent himself, escorting a group of settlers to their new home in Oregon. The supplies they ordered don’t arrive in time, so before winter sets in he rides to find what happened to them, visiting the den of villainy and sin known as… Portland. It’s very funny to see the city depicted as a town full of drunken gold miners and thieves, when in a century it will be home to queer witches and their burlesques. (Hi Caity <3) Fun plot, a few interesting reversals, and more colonial assumptions than I can typically stand. It’s no McCabe and Mrs. Miller, but if you’re in the mood for a PNW Western, look no further.
7. Step Brothers
2008 - Adam McKay
A movie so culturally dominant that I knew a huge amount of lines without ever having to see it. It was fun! Will Ferrell and John C. Riley have perfect comedic chemistry, and embody this strange energy of 15 year olds trapped in 40 year old bodies perfectly. The entire film works off of their performance. Just like last month’s Face/Off, two actors giving singular, unique performances is all you need to make a memorable picture.
6. Battling Butler
1926 - Buster Keaton
It’s Buster Keaton! It was fine. I don’t have any more interesting thoughts on him in this movie than I would have in the next one.
5. The Cameraman
1928 - Buster Keaton, Edward Sedgwick
Extremely fun. Buster doing a bit of metacommentary on how artists are valued, and the systems they have to engage with in order to find work. Extra satisfying to view amidst the writer’s strike. These studio heads would have nothing without the footage that the people on the ground capture. The Tong War battle at the end is particularly engaging. It’s the sort of Looney Tunes/Roger Rabbit comic energy that I adore, able to float through a conflict without any worry or care. Satisfying, destiny-bound ending.
4. Once Upon a Time in America
1984 - Sergio Leone
Now we get to the good stuff. Sergio Leone is synonymous with the Wild West - why is it so surprising that he would take on another classic tale of Americana? A gangster drama, an immigrant story, a distinctly East Coast experience of the twentieth century and the superpower that defined it. Where his cowboy movies focus on the mythic qualities of its protagonists - framed among giant landscapes, attention drawn to their weapons and horses - the protagonists of this film are framed within a series of relationships. It is their association with the people around them, the space between their bodies, that Leone captures so well. It is a promise of genius from a filmmaker whose career ended too early. This is a freewheeling biopic of a Lower East Side urchin who rises up towards the top, intersecting with high levels of power and upheavals in his closest bonds. Framed by an opium dream, not afraid to break free from logic, this is a masterful exploration of a cinematic space from one of our best directors.
3. Asteroid City
2023 - Wes Anderson
I feel so lucky to be alive at a time when I can see Wes Anderson movies in theaters. The sheer thrill of this opening sequence…. A black and white TV format exploding into a wide frame, desert-chic phantasmagoria, a MINIATURE TRAIN MODEL title sequence… god. Irreplaceable cinematic moments. It needs a gigantic screen to be really understood.
I think a lot of the theatre-going experience, of the crowd itself, as I remember this film. It was a great sample audience. A group of teen boys who must have just started their summer break. Several pairs of old women enjoying long-scheduled friend dates. A nuclear family. Me, alone, having made use of the Value Tuesday discounts. ($1 off hot dogs!) The whole crowd laughed throughout the thing - has Anderson ever been this funny? It made me feel a lot of hope, that an audience would take such pleasure in little background beats and quiet humor. Much of movie rhetoric paints The Audience writ-large as a bunch of mindless Marvel fans who need jokes telegraphed from a mile away. How hard the subtle humor hit really made me happy.
The story itself is something I’m going to have to meditate on. Anderson is working some meta-commentary that can be hard to grasp with only one viewing. I get the sense he’s looking at his own work and his style of directing. He’s famous for his ensembles - it’s a movie about a cast making a play. He’s famous for his invented worlds - we walk backstage and meet a writer-director who literally lives in a set after the performances are done. He’s a director beset by nostalgia for times he never lived - Jeffrey Wright says to a bunch of young geniuses, “Should have picked a better time to be born.” This is why I feel such a thrill, such satisfaction, in being alive while his movies are airing. I get to witness the years, hopefully decades, of discussion that this movie inspires. I think this is already ripe for a “Underappreciated in its time despite being his masterpiece” sort of thing.
2. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
2023 - Joaquim Dos Santos, Justin K. Thompson, Kemp Powers
God, what a lovely film to watch. My gushing excitement for this is cut by the recent revelations about its production. I spit on the names of Lord and the names of Miller, I wish them to suffer as they have made others suffer. I think of how beautiful this film is - how every frame is a gorgeous vortex, how you could hit pause at any moment and drink in one billion details that all add up to an incredible whole. I think of the well-crafted story, the nail-biting cliff hanger, the desire I had walking out of the theatre for simply MORE. And I think of how much better this could be if the artists making it were paid more fairly and given more breaks. Look at how beautiful this movie is - IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL IF THE WORKPLACE WAS LESS TOXIC. I reject any narrative about this film that says that, somehow, all the blood sweat and tears made it what it is. No. Absolutely not. This move is what it is because of hundreds of people toiling *despite* the invented hardships. It is so symptomatic of what is wrong in Hollywood, why so many people are striking now. They are being hampered from making their work excel because of these greedy people at the top who project their insecurity and petty rage all the way down.
Anyway. I love Miles. I love Gwen. I love all my Spiderfriends. Hope to see them again some day under less toxic circumstances.
1. What’s Up, Doc?
1972 - Peter Bogdanovich
I’ve been studying the screwball comedy this year. It’s an oft-used term without a great definition. It’s got romance and laugh, it has some odd personalities… but what else? Does it need an aggressive woman? A reluctant man? Do they need to be thrust together by fate? Do you *have* to have an outstanding ensemble, or does that just happen by coincidence? As I try to pick apart these elements I watch this on a whim one day and see that Peter Bogdanovich has already done all that research and found his answer. Screwball comedy? It looks like this. It’s What’s Up, Doc?
From the old-Hollywood opening credits that’s a hand turning a book, to the delightful absurdity that is its central premise - what if a spy, a jewel thief, and some dude all had the same luggage? - everything about this is finely tuned to make you laugh. Barbara Streisand is more or less literally playing Bugs Bunny. How amazing is that? There are so many things that will make you well up laughter that I hesitate to try and explain them more. Just watch this incredibly funny, charming movie. I have a private litmus test for how good a movie is. Often I’ll watch stuff with my wife sitting next to me as she plays video games. If a movie drags her attention away from the game and keeps her locked in the whole time, that is a great film. It was that way with this. Highly recommended.

Thank you for reading! If you liked any of these thoughts feel free to follow me on Letterboxd, where I post reviews and keep meticulous track of every movie I watch. Look forward to more posts like these next month!

[ @praeteritus-memories || continued from here! ]
A small chuckle resonates in Esme's throat when he says that he thinks there might be a small scrap of good in her. How naïve can one boy be? Even if her own memories of her previous life are hazy at best, she has a feeling that she's never been a good person. After all, she's a monster and no one ever saw monsters as good people.
"Well, you've got that right that I'm scary," remarks the other half to this weak girl with a small pointed roll of her eyes. "But you're stupid to believe that there's a shred of good in me, boy. I'm the monster within this pathetic Mask for a reason. It's cute, though, that you think that of me~" There's the venomous smirk she's known for that tugs at her lips as she states that.

Anonymous ♕ ☯ + "Yami" Marik vs Katsuya Jounouchi ♕ Scenes from the Past from the Shadow’s Perspective ♛
How could he have miscalculated so badly? Jounouchi was just a stepping stone in the way of who he desired to take down; he was a distraction, an appetizer to the main dish. He could have easily destroyed the fool without Ra if not for the apparent luck that shined on the underdog. How annoying he will have to use his god against this weakling. Luck could only save somebody so many times--even if luck truly does not exist ( although dumb luck would be a good definition for Jounouchi )--before it would burn to ashes with the one it helps. He will burn this fool to nothing but ashes for making him work.
I can’t believe I have to play my god against someone like you,” Marik sneers, shifting the card in his hand to glean a look at Monster Reborn. It will not be enough to destroy the fool, but none can survive the flames of the Phoenix God. He will revel in this, especially with how much rage that will give the pitiful Pharaoh to watch his friend die so painfully. “Bear witness to god!” A rumbling laugh rises out of him as the card is played, brilliant light surrounding him as the Winged Dragon of Ra returns from the graveyard. He can hear the mumbles, the confusion from the Pharaoh. Poor fools, so ignorant to just how powerful Ra is. He can see how calm Kaiba is--perhaps he knows, ancient memories giving him an advantage over the others. As if it will help. No matter who wins the next fight, the Pharaoh would die by his hands and Kaiba would be a casualty. He will show all of them what it means to cross him. Jounouchi will be the example, the bearer of his wrath. He commands the strongest god, and soon all three will be in his possession. All he needs to do is burn this bug in his way. “Ra has a quick attack,” Marik muses, “And I activate its third effect~” Oh how he loves their shock, watching in a mix of emotions as the ancient words chanted bring brilliant fire surrounding the golden dragon. In seconds the form changes, the dragon becoming a fiery phoenix, “Behold! The Winged Dragon of Ra’s final form! God Phoenix!” Dark violet eyes narrow, his lips twisting into a cruel smirk as they all stare in fear mixed with awe. His focus is on the dead meat before him, the one who will be the example, “I never thought I’d have to show you Ra’s true form. Jounouchi. . . well done.” How unfortunate he has to reveal it to the underdog, the one who does not fit with the others.
No matter, Marik will enjoy burning him to nothing but dust, “It is over, Jounouchi! You will die this turn!” His soul will make a wonderful sacrifice, one more before he can reach the prize.

❛ don't be afraid. i'm a friend. ❜ (from caleb)
Rexxentrum had never been a safe city. But now...
Well, the war with the dynasty had stopped, but it was like once people realized that Rexxentrum could be breached a floodgate had opened.
Arawn was mostly concerned about the cult activity. Cults had always been present in Rexxentrum, a big city in a country with strict religious laws meant that a lot of people had their beliefs pushed to the fringes of society. Hell, from a lawmaker's point of view Arawn was a member of a cult, having clung to his faith in the Everlight. But they had ramped up in recent years after the whole Angel of Irons fiasco. And this...this felt different, this felt like a held breath, like standing at a cliff's edge and preparing to jump.
Arawn didn't like it. And he didn't like that his current investigation into one of the cults had ended in him tearing down the streets of Rexxentrum, firing blasts of magic behind him, trying desperately to heal himself from the cultist's stupid, fucking, poisoned blades.
He had a blade in hand and was holding it to the throat of whoever had just spoken before he'd had a chance to think about what he was doing. A red-haired man who looked more like a scholar than a cultist, but one never could be quite sure.
"Yeah?" And if his words were sharp, bitter things, well, he'd had a rough fucking day."Prove it then."
@astravates
#i dunno nebulously years after CR2 dealing with the ramp up to CR3#because I feel like the city where the cerberus assembly was located would've definitely had a year or few of tension leading up#to the solstice#and like I feel like cult leaders might get ideas from the whole Angel of Irons fiasco and be like#if they can strike at the heart of the empire so can we#also thinking up reasons arawn and caleb would be in the middle of a battle together bc this ask seemed 'in the middle of battle to me'#anyways I'm yapping#astravates#bathing in holy fire // dnd verse.

Indeed, this spirit was one with the storms. It was exhilarating! Maybe a bit concerning, given her powerful affinity for electricity, it made the playing board that much riskier. Still, the beast waits. The screams and cries of the people fall on deaf ears, they didn't matter anyway. Because the only thing that mattered was fighting this Oni. Maybe she'd even devour her later...
Regardless, the beast's arms spark again with that terrifying, dark energy of red and black. It crawls up her forearms, sparking and popping like mini firecrackers. She spies the glint of steel, now closing her reddening fists and raising off of the building with just her upper half—just in time to meet the Oni head-on.
The collision is catastrophic. Arms collide, and the volatile energy explodes, creating a shockwave from both powers colliding! The building Margaret stands on caves in, others are rocked, and severely damaged structures nearby crumble. Whether or not Olgan is shaken or knocked off balance, the beast takes this opportunity to go for another swing of her fist!
The crackling arcs of lighting snapping in the air after a solid impact, the building crumbling to a degree after sending the creature rippling through it! It was a satisfying strike, and one she could tell hit hard! with how much destruction was left in it's wake.
Laughing heartily as she fell back down to the earth, following the rubble, before doing a little twist in the air, to throw her poleaxe high in the sky, following it along a shock of lightning to bring hear floating up near the clouds; A wide grin growing wider as she saw the beast unleashing more destruction onto the surrounding buildings.
Olgan could hear the screams of innocent civilians, feel the sorrow, the hatred, the anger! It amped her up, made her stronger! The storm turning violent above, rain falling in heaps, lighting in thick dreadful shocks scorching the earth, as thunder deafened the surrounding area!
Once gravity took hold once more, she scanned the area, finding the origin of the beam and quickly throwing her poleaxe directly towards it. Margaret would get a second or two to see a glint of steel before the oni appeared in a flash of lighting before her once more, her forearm in direct view as she was seeking to clothesline the beast! She would take the bait!

"No--no!" He takes half a step across the field, even as Isono forces him to remain still. "No! Please--please, not that! Anything but that!" His voice cracks. "Please! It's all I have! Those memories are all I have!" That last memory. All of his friends after Monster World. The first time they were all together. The first time he saw Yugi face to face. "Please!"
Mariku took himself a moment to just enjoy the sheer amount of TERROR on the other ones face... the pharaoh, great adversary, almighty force...
Reduced to a begging mess. Before him. HIM.
The feeling that coursed through him wasn't comparable to that he felt when plunging that woman and Jounuchi into their fate headfirst, not even that blasted spirit and his lighter half.
Seeing the other like this caused nothing short of megalomania in his mind, radiant insanity.
His skin was breaking out in shivers of the most delicious kind.
"You agreed to fight this battle, to play my game... what did you think? That it would be easy? This despair you feel, the pain, the fear... all of this is YOUR incapability to deal with losses.
You decide to put your fate in the hands of others... you decided that your soul was worth of sharing~" His laughter followed swiftly, dark insane, it seemed to shake his whole form. "Now you can watch what happens, when it gets completely torn apart!"
He couldn't contain his cackling, when he called forth his next attack. The one attack that would erase every hopeful and good memory the other had collected, just like he had done to that Kujaku Mai.
His lust for chaos and revenge was at an all time high and his only need seemed to concentrate on a point that was concentrated to a pinpoint-
Cause as much pain and despair to this person as possible. And then watch the shadows tear him apart.

Re-Verse Alya and Nino / Ubiquity and Newsflash
I never really talked much about Alya and Nino's roles in my Re-Verse AU. The two of them are a duo of junior reporters. Alya is sort of like an April O'Neil character, while Nino is her cowardly bumbling assistant holding the camera. Alya dives head-first into dangerous situations to get a good scoop, while Nino is terrified of tresspassing lmao. The two of them were investigating the Supreme and met Betterfly/Hesperia during their investigation. The three of them formed the Resistence alongside Max, their tech guy.
Aside from serving as a multiverse portal, I gave Ubiquity more additional powers to make her more versatile, while still keeping her general concept in mind. She can duplicate herself, but can only control one copy at a time. Her cape can serve as a gateway to any other copy of her. During large-scale battles, she would place a bunch of Ubiquities around the city so the heroes can move around faster.
Nino's Kamiko form is called Newsflash! His power is derived from his wish to "reveal the truth". He can produce a camera flash that nullifies illusions and reveals weakpoints. It also generally stuns the enemy because it's, you know, a bright fucking light. He also has drones that serve as additional mobile "eyes". Ishizu hasn't even spoken a word yet, and he's already being rude. Not that the women expected anything less from Seto Kaiba. She is well aware of the disdain he has for her, a feeling she somewhat returns for his blatant disregard for his ancient heritage and his stubbornness when it comes to putting his own ego aside. He was frustrating, to put it mildly.
She didn't come all the way from Egypt to him without purpose, though. Ishizu was a busy woman. Her position as a government official meant she could not travel as freely as she would like to. That meant every time she took off of work had to be worth it, and with what she came here to try and accomplish, she certainly felt like it was. At least...if things turned out as the official had hoped, for one could not predict the flow of fate of the duelist before her, something she had learned firsthand since their duel on the blimp.
"I require your assistance with a simple matter, one I imagine won't take much of your time and might possibly peak your interest." She pauses, her cerulean hues staring into the bright blues of the CEO. "There is someone I'd like to introduce you to, someone who sought me out shortly following the conclusion of your tournament, Seto. She spoke of seeing a strange vision during our duel's conclusion, despite not even spectating our match through the live feed.
If her theory regarding how he changed his fate was true, then such a claim should get his attention. If that failed, then her description surely should."According to her, the vision that depicted...herself, a man, and...a stone carving of a dragon she has claimed to have seen before in dreams: a white beast with...blue eyes."
"Ishizu."
For a moment, another name had been on the tip of his tongue. He can't quite place it, but regardless, that ridiculous sensation causes Seto's mood to sour even further than it already has - and the scowl on his face darkens with a look that to most would be intimidating.
Somehow, he doubts it is to her. And that thought irritates him enough to speak first.
"I was hoping you'd had enough of those nonsense tales of yours." There's no greeting, no further acknowledgement he gives her - instead, Seto speaks as rudely as ever, insulting Ishizu without a care in the world for how she might react. This is familiar territory to him - the struggle for power is a game he's played all his life, and he knows that it's always best to make the first move. But if she's waiting for him to slip up and show weakness... she's going to find herself sorely disappointed.
"Do you actually need something from me, or are you just trying to waste my time? For both our sakes, I'd rather we make it quick."

Can i request the continuation of jason todd and dick grayson yandere ask? Maybe add in smut aswell. (Don't force yourself!, Take a good care of yourself 💗)
-🥚 anon
Yandere Jason Todd x speedster male reader x Yandere Dick Grayson
Part 2
Headcanons
Imagine sitting in a spinny chair petting a cat like a bond villain. I have wanted to write a part two for this for a while. Instead of reader just dating his og universes version of them, what if reader was dating multiple people 👀? Cuz you cant imagine the kid of Thawne being a nice person.
Ill refer to readers original universe as OG verse, and the yandere universe as yan verse cuz its easier to understand.
Part 1 can be found here
In part 1 yan Dick and Jason has pretty much abandoned their former dimension in smithereens after having wiped out the entire justice league, as they tried to stop them from crossing dimensions and tearing a hole in reality itself to find you.
So, when Yan Dick and Jason appear in your OG dimension, different procedures set up by the league notify them about the tear in reality and how unstable it is. They’d rush there and find two bloody and battered versions of Dick and Jason, and thinking they fled some battle or a doomed timeline, they bring them to the tower.
When Jason and Dick wake up, they immediately fall back on the many tricks they had been taught under their batman, who was apparently even better at lying than OG batman, as they believe them when they claim their home dimension was destroyed and they have nowhere to go.
It takes a while to work Yan Dick and Jason into the league and their hero roster, but they never suspect them of being anything less than heroes and stable. They start calling them Rick and Jay since it gets confusing with multiple people named the same thing.
They don’t drop hints that they know you, but they do try to figure out where you are and what you are doing at all times, but its harder than they thought it would be. Who would have thought trying to track a guy that can cross dimensions and time at will would be so difficult.
Rick almost bursts a blood vessel when he hears some of the younger OG league members talking about how “Mach 10 has been dating multiple people at once”, and Jay wants to curl up into a ball and disappear and tear himself apart.
Their obsession finally starts showing through the cracks as they use league resources to find you and stalk you. More and more cracks appear in their masks and fake personalities, as they see you going on dates with other people.
Jericho, Jamie Reyes, Roy Harper, Garth, Kyle Rayner, the list went on. You seemed to be dating multiple people at once, at the same time, as you used your powers to be in multiple places at once.
You weren’t a good person, so you hadn’t even felt bad when Jamie had cried finding out you were cheating on him with multiple people, you just shrugged and asked him what he had expected from Thawnes offspring.
It was common knowledge amongst the younger league members that you were down to a roll in the sheets with most, but there wasn’t a loyal bone in your body, and you could easily turn on whoever you were dating at the time if it was part of a plan.
Of course. Rick and Jay never saw you as the problem. How could you be? You were perfect, you were everything that mattered in the multiverse, and you could do no wrong. It had to be your partners that were the issue, they had to be neglecting your needs and leaving you having to resort to finding different ways to meet them.
OG justice league knew Rick and Jay had some issues, but they had always blamed it on coming from a dimension that had been destroyed by some unknown evil. But as time passed, they started to think that maybe the backstory they had been given wasn’t true.
It came to a head when one day Rick almost gutted Roy after he and Jay had followed you around Coast city, where you had met up with Roy and the two of you had gone on a date, ending with you two back in Roy’s apartment.
Rick and Jay were both cracking as they saw others put their grubby disgusting hands all over you and just doing whatever they wanted. Whenever they heard others insult you, they felt like repeating what they had done in their original universe.
After Rick attacked Roy, he was placed on probation. Jay was more subtle about his plans, as he wasn’t as blinded by rage as Rick and was more fueled by not feeling like he was good enough and blaming himself.
People didn’t even put two and two together for a while when your non league admirers started going missing, only to be found much later dead in many different ways. There was no way to tie the murders together, but it was clear there was a pattern, but no one could figure out what it was.
The league finally discovered just what type of people Jay and Rick were when you one day wandered into the tower. Maybe the league needed your help with something involving the speedforce, or the negative speedforce.
But the moment the two yanderes saw you, it was like they became completely different people, the masks they had been wearing for months shattered as they almost stumbled over each other to get to you first.
You just saw in your seat grinning to yourself as they clambered into your lap, vile threats of what he could do to anyone who touched to passing Ricks lips, as Jay warbled out apologies and begs for you to love him and appreciate him.
The league wasn’t sure what to do, but their suspicions only grew. It got to the point where they somehow track down the dimension the Yans originally come from, to see what really happened. Imagine their horror when they learn Rick and Jay killed all of them out of obsession fueled love for you.
But when they finally figured out the truth, Rick and Jay fully dropped their roles and started chasing you around like lovesick puppies again, butchering anyone who got in their way.
The league could lock them up, but they had also seen what happened when they were separated from you, and as long as they were around you and an had no reason to lash out, they seemed fine for the most part.
You had moments where you would peace out to different dimensions, especially when Rick and Jay started foiling all your attempts to mess around with other people, Rick always exploding in rage and Jay breaking down in tears and wails of misery.
Again, you were never a good person, and they annoyed you sometimes, but it was kinda cute to have them begging for scraps of your attention even as the league tried again and again to capture them and lock them away.
Rick and Jay never find a way to lock you away, you are just too powerful. But they at some point stumble across ways to make themselves stronger so they can keep up. Like making themselves speedsters, or developing gear to follow and track you, they come up with something.
But you learn an easy way to distract them is by piling attention on them for a while, get them comfortable, then you can peace out when they get on your nerves.
Jay is always easier to trick than Rick, as Jay is always aching for any tiny piece of attention and love youll give him, his knees always buckling when you kiss him or hold him, words almost akin to worship always tumbling out from between his lips towards you.
Rick is harder to trick, as hes always suspicious and angry, but an easy way is to dominate him in some way, like tying him up and then leaving him there, leaving him to get out on his own, or get help from Jay if he needs it.
All in all, the league is scared and cautious, but knows they wont be an active threat to the league as long as they have you. And your relationship with your yanderes is nowhere near healthy, with you only loving them like someone would love a pet or a toy, and them loving you way too much.
But what can someone expect from the offspring of Thawne, and two extremely unstable Bats.

(3/54) “It’s been forty-three years since I’ve seen my home. All I have left is a jar of soil. It’s good soil. Nahavand is a city of gardens. A guidebook once called it ‘a piece of heaven, fallen to earth.’ The peaks are so high that they’re capped with snow. A spring gushes from the mountain, and flows into a river. It spreads through the valley like veins. We lived in the deepest part of the valley, the most fertile part. Our father owned thousands of acres of farmland. When we were children he gave us each a small plot of land to plant a garden. None of the other children had the discipline. They’d rather play games. But I planted my seeds in careful rows. I hauled water from a nearby well. I pulled every weed the moment it appeared. As the poets say: ‘If you cannot tend a garden, you cannot tend a country.’ My garden was the best; it was plain for all to see. The discipline came from my mother. She was very devout. She prayed five times a day. Never spoke a bad word, never told a lie. My father was a Muslim too, but he drank liquor and played cards. He’d wash his mouth with water before he prayed. The Koran was in his library. But so were the books of The Persian Mystics: the poets who spent one thousand years softening Islam, painting it with colors, making it Iranian. Back then it was a big deal to own even a single book, but my father had a deal with a local bookseller. Whenever a new book arrived in our province, it came straight to our house. I’ll never forget the morning I heard the knock on the door. It was the bookseller, and in his hands was a brand-new copy of Shahnameh. The Book of Kings. It’s one of the longest poems ever written: 50,000 verses. The entire story of our people. And it’s all the work of a single man: Abolqasem Ferdowsi. Shahnameh is a book of battles. It’s a book of kings and queens and dragons and demons. It’s a book of champions called to save Iran from the armies of darkness. Many of the stories I knew by heart. Everyone in Iran knew a few. But I’d never seen them all in one place before, and in a beautiful, leather-bound edition. The book never made it to my father’s library. I brought it straight to my room.”

There's a thick swallow coming from Resa as he says that with her trying her best to steel her emotions so that the spirit of the ring didn't notice how unnerving he could really be. Once she gathers her courage to approach him, her oceanic hues are on his before she turns to grab the first aid kit that isn't too far away.
"If it is, then let me at least take care of the wound you got so that his body doesn't get an infection. Won't do either of you any good to go around feeling sick now, yeah? How else are you gonna be at the top of your game when you've got a cold or worse?"
