An update on the adventure of Abeil

She quickly gained a trusted bodyguard, Nahawa, that never strayed from her side. Nahawa was with Abeil for all of her greatest victories, while her renown grew. The two grew quite fond of each other, and since Abeil never took a husband ("too busy making war", she would proclaim), rumours stirred.

As Abeils renown grew, she was offered vassalage by her high king, Caladog, ascending her from mere mercenary to the ranks of the low nobility. Soon after this, Caladog started a campaign against the northern Sturgians which Abeil and her company joined - The campaign abrubtly ended in a gruesome ambush, where the entirety of Abeils force was wiped out and both her and her trusty bodyguard were reported missing, pressumed dead.

Some within Battania speculate, in hushed voices, that the entire campaign was but a scheme by Caladog himself, to rid of the troublesome upstart mercenary. The highborn never took well to the ascendance of any of common blood after all.

The end? At least of that playthrough. Unless ... ?

Bannerlord - Mount & Blade II

Yo this games pretty fun, Ive kept an eye out and on it since all those Mods during the Fire and Steel days, I played a bit of warband and plan on doing a full playthrough when I finish this clan thing Im tryna do in Bannerlord

im now 80 hours in bannerlord and for ranking the factions troops this is my ideal in who has best what and would like to be corrected if you have bettr ideals.

>Aserai Suck chode, but they have those horsemen in pure gold that both have drip + defense

>Battania Fians, they also have the worst troops with Wildling's

>Khuzait Hose Archers Khans guard > Horse Archer but are more expensive

>Empire (all 3 factions) Imperial Legionary are honestly kinda scary, most of their troops are heavily armored and are what the wikis say about the Aserai that their "good all around units" while having better equipment

>Sturgia lol nothing really, big boys that get squashed.

>Valandia Sargent + Banner knights + Sharp Shooter Sharpshooters with shields might not seem as good as Battanian Fians but hold formating hold fire theyre more effective then a majority of other infitry men. multipurpose frontline archers in decent gear (I woulda hoped they'd have more knight stuff like in warband but I think its also how AI fought with horsemen back then that made them immortals)

being a fucking shoobie and trying out dumbass tactics makes this game top tier we did not hold the bridge because I did not line them properly + a gap on the side

Ive had to hold off siege after seige as my countrys line the outskirts of parts of our nation. that I plan on breaking apart from soon and starting my own clans conquest.

Later on in my Bannerlord playthrough, Freckle got married and swore allegiance to King Caldog of Battania. Plus he even got his own castle.

Cynac is the cousin of Uldris fen Loen. He is a fae who was swapped with Uldris’s real cousin at birth. The family didn’t notice until their ears grew pointy and they began casting magic during puberty. Most of the family was weirded out, especially with how odd they behaved. It was difficult for them to go to the large cities for very long due to all the sounds. It was difficult for them to relate to most people. Only Uldris and the other kids continued to treat them normally. They went out of their way to help Cynac.

When Cynac turned 16, they left their village to live by the Great Lake in a fishing village. They served the town as a medic. Some years pass and Uldris arrives with a small band of warriors. He needs their help saving his brothers and sister from some slavers. Cynac jumped at the opportunity and went on to serve Battania at Uldris’s side. To create a bond with the royal family, Uldris arranged for them to marry Caladog’s eldest son, Mengus. This relationship ended up being more than just political and they grew together quickly.

I know fae aren’t really cannon, but I don’t really care 😅

More Bannerlord scenes. The siblings meet their new Sturgian companions. ❄ This in-game faction seems to be inspired by Kievan Rus (and some Norse) culture. I've used a painting of Olga of Kiev and an embroidered cloth called Rushnyk/Nabozhnyk in the background.

My main character is small and other NPCs from those areas are usually tall. It's the funniest thing to see her among friends and enemies, tiny and heavily armored. Hi-res + progress shots in Patreon to Tier2+ folks ♥

I'm playing Bannerlord for the first time in a long while and I accidentallied myself into capturing the king of Batania and then I discovered the "execute" button so I committed regicide on a whim.

In Bannerlord I joined a faction that keeps losing wars (Battania) and the king just gave me a quest. He was willing to pay me 20000 gold if I take Mazhadan Castle within 2 months... But he was marching with about a thousand troops to take that specific castle. So I tagged along, didn't really do much, but our army took it, and he paid me 20 grand for it.

I think I might have an idea why these guys can't win wars

I’m none too good with words but I just got Bannerlord and Mount and Blade is one of my favorite games but I’m having difficulty choosing between two factions.

Do I start a trading focused Aserai that builds up money and power through trade and conquest or do I go with a Hunter from Battania and gather up a warband of warriors to sack stuff and probably pick a fight with the Empire?

‘Mount and Blade II: Bannerlord’ Releases on GOG.com

TaleWorlds Entertainment announced today that Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Early Access has released on GOG.com for $49.99. Originally released via Steam and Epic Game Store’s Early Access on March 30th of this year, the title has garnered praise for its open world sandbox world and interesting mix of action-RPG and strategy gameplay. As part of celebrating the game’s release for the new platform, players will receive a free copy of the original Mount & Blade with any purchase of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord during the game’s first week of release.

Since the game’s release, the developers have worked to improve the title’s overall performance and experience in both the single-player and multiplayer modes. New features have been added along the way to help expand the gameplay. TaleWorlds confirms that more additions are still on the way. 

Armagan Yavuz, CEO of TaleWorlds Entertainment, states that he and the team are “thrilled to put forth Bannerlord on GOG,” and that they “want Bannerlord to be available for as many people as possible; the GOG community is one of the best, and we are looking forward to meeting all of them in the fields of Calradia!”

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord will be discounted by 20% on GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, and the official TaleWorlds webstore. All other titles in the franchise will also be sold at 75% off during the discount period.

Bannerlord is a sequel to 2010’s Mount & Blade: Warband, a critically acclaimed title widely considered one of the best PC games of all time. The Mount & Blade series has always been known for its deep gameplay that combines action, RPG, and strategy in a large sandbox world.

Though Mount & Blade takes place within a fictional world, the many factions in the game are directly inspired by real-world cultures and societies. Aserai, a faction located in the Nahasa desert of Southern Calradia, is inspired by Islamic culture. Battania, which rules the misty hills of north-western Calradia, is inspired by the Celtic peoples of Western Europe. The Empire, which is split into three different factions that are each at war with one another, takes direct inspiration from the Byzantine Empire. 

The Khuzait faction, which is located on the eastern steppe of Calradia, is inspired by the steppe peoples of central Asia, with the original designs for the Khuzait drawing inspiration from both Turk and Mongolia. The Sturgians, which populate the cold forests of North-Eastern Calradia, are inspired by Slavic regions of Europe. And finally, the faction of Vlandia is inspired by the feudal areas of early medieval Europe.

Players in Mount & Blade can create their own stories within the fictional world of Calradia. Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord acts as a prequel to Warband, taking place 200 years before the events of the last game. In this new entry, the Calradian Empire is in danger of collapse, with several different factions all at odds with one another in an attempt to control the remains of the old empire.

First Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord beta patch released, improves performance & AI, fixes bugs & crashes

Taleworlds Entertainment has released the first beta patch for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. This beta patch aims to improve the game’s overall performance. Moreover, it packs a number of fixes, as well as tweaks and improvements to the AI.

Going into more details, this beta patch reduces RAM and VRAM usage. It also fixes many leaks, and features scene loading performance improvements.

Moreover, it fixes numerous crashes. For instance, it fixes a rare formation AI exception. It also fixes a crash that occurred when a mount without a rider heard an arrow, as well as a crash in main storyline conspiracy phase.

It’s also worth noting that this patch fixes some scene issues of Aserai Village. It also fixes merlon physics issues of Vlandian Castle parts, some lighting issues of Empire Lords Hall and physics issues of Battania Castle Wall.

As the title suggests, this patch also improves combat AI. For example, AI quality for NPCs is now determined by skill points in the current weapon’s governing skill instead of overall character level. Also, agents attack less often if you are playing on Normal difficulty. The patch also fixes an issue in caravan/villager battles that could potentially cause unexpected behaviour at agent processing level.
