Jason goes to college to get a PhD.

When he graduates and he gets into an argument with one of his siblings during patrol, he responds with "It's Dr. Red Hood". Of course receiving a loud groan in response.

Well, one of the rogues finds out and they are like "Oh, looks like Red Hood is on our side again", because going out at night in a costume and/or armour AND having a PhD is usually an indicator that you're a rogue.

One of the other rogues responds with "Wait, again? He has left our side? When?!"

"He wears a giant bat symbol on his chest, what did you think?!"

"That he is an undercover agent?!"

"His debut included outsmarting Black Mask, why would you think he'd give US any useful information!?"

"If I'm honest, I do not care about Sionis in the slightest"

I am begging the Warrior Cats, DC comics, and Danny Phantom fandoms to learn the difference between "rogue" and "rouge."

Normally I don't really care too much about misspellings on the internet. Language is fluid and use changes conventions, bla bla bla. This is a pet peeve I'm apparently never gonna get over, though.

The letter combo "ge" often makes a soft "j" or "zh" sound. Like in beige, garage, general, gouge, etc. But because English has borrowed things from many languages, this rule isn't consistent.

The letter combo "gu" results in a hard "g" consonant. As in guerilla, Prague, dialogue, penguin, guess, etc.

As an aside, this is how you know how to pronounce the two different Gs in "language" because they follow this rule exactly.

Therefore, "rouge" is pronounced "rüzh" and refers to a red color, typically a cosmetic for one's cheeks (aka blush). Also the name of the DC villain Madame Rouge.

Conversely, "rogue" is pronounced "rōg" with a hard G and refers to an independent, uncontrollable, aberrant individual who acts outside the strictures of society, often in an unlawful manner. This is the word I most often see misspelled.

So please remember, if the G is in front of a U you don't need to *guess* how it's pronounced, but if you get mixed up you might end up blushing!

Joker is a “Pretty Pretty Princess”

I thought what they had was special.

but, apparently everyone carries Joker “bridal style”.

I guess some criminals resist arrest but, the Joker is a “Drama Queen” who demands to be carried to jail.

I dunno I kind of agree with Batman. She didn’t have a love with Joker like she does with Ivy, Harley was just infatuated with the Joker. Also She’s unaliving people to impress an unalived man. She chose to do that. Jokers not making her do anything, he’s DOA. Too many people write off Harley’s misdeeds and let her off the hook for things that they wouldn’t normally let someone off for because, she gives them a pity story so they A.) Forgive her because, they feel sorry for her or, B.) Forgive her because, of her cleavage.-It’s actually a narcissist trait she’s displaying. She can blame everyone except herself. Joker is a POS but, at least he admits to his wrong doings and, is also oddly proud of them.

Ok, so this is from Batman Arkham Knight #22 and I can’t not talk about it.

There are so many ways that the Arkham series has been a massive nod to Batman: The Animated Series, and this part of the prequel particularly stands out to me as unbelievably problematic because of that.

Batman ALWAYS worked to understand his adversaries however he could – ESPECIALLY when it came to Doctor Harleen Quinzel and her gradual self-realization of the mental issues that she suffered at the hands of the Joker, and attempting to overcome them. She’s always been a sympathetic character when it came to her larger arc, and the games generally seem to understand this interaction, acknowledge it, and show that Batman is more than a set of fists to punch the bad guys. This comic not only misses that mark, but even goes into weirdly uncomfortable victim blaming in his response.

I don’t know what Peter J. Tomasi was attempting to do when writing this part, but this AWFUL and it most certainly isn’t Batman.

discussing brucie wayne in heeled oxfords with my husband and they brought up some excellent points:

batman and brucie wayne can't be the same height so only one of them can wear heels

batman needs to be intimidating so he should be taller, so he should have the lifts

this prevents brucie wayne in glamorous heeled loafers :((

the solution i propose: brucie wayne gets his heels, batman wears fuckoff high platforms

my husband then of course saw an excellent opportunity for one of the rogues to notice and message the group chat telling everyone to bully batman for being insecure about his height

we decided this culminated in Harley tweeting "batman, are you insecure about your height because of toxic masculinity or a deep rooted fear of inferiority in any measure?" and one of the robins replying "those are his hooves you bitch"
