Mom called me a shitty roommate today bc after months of her telling me to rent a uhaul (too young to do so) and then flaking out on me whenever I asked her if we could it on x day, I gave up on trying to get my bf's heavy TV and dresser and ordered a mountable tv, instead of buying more storage totes so that I could add to the ever increasing stack of totes in our guest bedroom

#leading up to and since raine moved in i have thrown tons of shit away and so has he #we both moved from larger rooms into a smaller shared room #meanwhile my parents moved into a bigger room with a bigger closet and claimed the garage for storage space #i have several decorative items that would look cute out in the livingroom without clashing with her style #but she considers all my items ''clutter'' so i have to keep them in my room or in a tote #except all my totes are already occupied by other shit #i threw away 90% of my friends items that i was storing here in an effort to make my room tidier #(and to ensure that my items are not littered around the livingroom and kitchen)#i got a bed frame with drawers so i could store items in there #i am not a horder and neither is raine but we have to condense two peoples worth of things into one room and two closets #and like i said before we both had bigger rooms before moving to this house #my room was way larger before. even with my giant ass desk (that doesnt fit in my room) my old room #didnt look cluttered bc it had lots of open space. even tho that was a 2 bedroom apartment #and this is a 3 bedroom duplex with garage the square footage in this house was budgeted poorly #my hallway is literally a snail spiral shape so a lot of space is lost to the curvature #not to mention my parents have bought more shit than we had at the old place to fill up space that we all shared in our old apt #except i am going to mention it bc i think this is totally unfair #i get that my mom has never liked when my room is messy. she's my mom and she is going to nag #but she does not have to use my room or bathroom (she has her own. thats bigger than mine)#and i keep my bathroom clean for guests #and she has made it clear that she is unwilling to help me even when i ask and tried to plan out ways to cheaply get more furniture #raine has had tote boxes in his car since he moved in bc he knows that we dont have a place for them inside #not to mention several collectable swords (including limited edition skyrim sword and genuine damascus)#which is kind of a fucking road safety hazard since they are real blades #but he puts up with it bc he doesnt want to add to the clutter #i bought this tv and wall mount bc i know that as long as my tv is grounded to a dresser i cant rearrange my room to make more space in here #and im donating my current tv to the guest bedroom bc they wont buy one for it #they also wont buy a dresser for it which is why my mom was hounding me to rent a uhaul for raines dresser #(i cannot stress this enough. we are both TWENTY. how are we going to rent a car. we need older adult help!!!)

anyway a different sneaky plan worked out in that i was able to find old listing photos of my dream house and ough..... i need her .....

#she was last sold in 2018 but maybe by the time ive made my millions (through directing or winning the lottery or some other scheme)#she'll be for sale again. we can dream #realizing 2018 was six years ago and not like. 2. thats scary #but anyway i like this house a lot. good kitchen. could be bigger but its workable #built in bookshelves in the huge living room. thats for dvds babey #no pictures of the 2 bedrooms n bathrooms . come on man i need to know what storage space we're working with #very nice little outside pool area thats surrounded by bushes n plants. i like that.#one day ill learn how to swim so my pool will not be redundant #its nice. id love to see a floor plan but alas #this is a different house from that house in palm springs that was furnished to the max with gaudy 70s furniture and decor #that one is really fun. but its also way the hell out in palm springs #this house however is in the hollywood hills. ish . but the great thing about is that its down this private drive #and you cant even see it on google images. very secret i like that . im hidden away from the world #another thing going for this house is a silly little superstition ive inherited from my dad #multiple times in his life hes lived at places where the numbers in the address have added up to his lucky number (day of birth)#where we live now adds up to 13 which explains a lot #but this house the numbers add up to my lucky number. yay #anyway this is all very hypothetical but i have nothing else to do with my time (<- guy that could be doing far more productive things)

Feeling some buyers remorse for buying 2 shelves yesterday online. But it's getting eclipsed by the excitement of thinking about where I'm gonna put them and rearranging my apartment a little bit

#speculation nation #work sucked today but in brighter moments ive just been buzzing in excitement about furniture #i bought some storage shelves and then a bookshelf #im gonna put the storage shelves at the far side of my living room & put as many of my boxes as i can fit on it #removing Box Island from the center of my living room lol #i wanna also sort thru the boxes to figure out what things would be considered permanent storage (archival things)#which would be priority placed on the storage shelves #and then figure out what boxes i would potentially want to unpack in the coming months. to keep in easier to access locations.#yes ive been living here for 2+ years and yes ive only got like half my shit unpacked. such is life.#for my new bookshelf i wanna do a little more rearranging #the cats' fancy litter box is in the little hallway leading into the bathroom #placed there bc it was the easiest to access outlet for the self cleaning litter box #but it's chunky and gets in the way and with the non clumping litter those things are like fucking legos on the floor #crunch crunch crunch under my slippers. id like the litter box more out of the way.#so im gonna put it in the cat area of the living room. rearranging some stuff over there to make it fit.#and then where it is rn in the hallway. im gonna put my new bookshelf.#i dont know what books im gonna put on it yet. probably my less personal books. probably no manga.#im supposed to get a bookshelf from my dad sometime that's bigger than both my current and my new bookshelf #and im gonna put it in my room. clear the space behind my TV. and Theres where i wanna put out all my manga thats been in storage #idk. shelves!!! potential!!!! its all so exciting.#nothing like new furniture to make me feel like im gonna try to get my life back in order.#and Honestly having the living room suddenly so much cleaner has been... nice.#im gonna work on cleaning my room soon. it is Long overdue.
