genuinely so many of you want to be leftist and "punk" and countercultural soooooo bad but you refuse to become comfortable with the concept of people taking drugs for fun because they like it and not because they were somehow tricked or forced into it without knowing what they were getting themselves into

you'll be like "addiction is a disease!!" but think you're better than those degenerate stoners because you only drink energy drinks and white claws and would never touch "illegal drugs"

many if not most drugs CAN be consumed completely safely with almost 0 risk to the user and even if that werent true and all drugs were extremely dangerous you still wouldn't be better than those of us who love doing drugs recreationally

lighten up and grow up. get offline, talk to real adults, and stop being shocked to discover that they enjoy doing stuff that adults do like have sex and do drugs and even listen to rock and roll

how do yall find folk punk shows near you?? to be fair i live close if not in the south and the only shows ive noticed are in our scene are hardcore and i don’t like those shows :’)

This was easily the sweatiest show we'd ever played but it was really such an amazing time. Who knew this is what happened at art galleries at night? I made everyone get down on their knees church style before we broke out into the first time and it was truly such a sight to see. Wish I had saved the setlist from this night.

I miss basement shows.

I miss the throb of the crowd, beer spilled on my shoulder, the brief squeal of feedback from the mic. The sweat, cigarette butts grinding under the heels of a tiny mass - a sardine can of all-grown-up troubled youths singing along to songs their friends write together. I miss being pulled by the tide of the room, the warmth of our bodies collecting together, our voices and movements blending until we resemble one combined creature dancing with itself.
