an alternative interpretation

Yes Renji, the first thing Aizen did was attempt to escape captivity. This seems pretty predictable, honestly...and well done by Soul Society to find a chair this strong.

Prologue - Chapter 1

Chapter 2
Aizen’s smile remained etched in your mind as you took position alongside Captain Soi Fon to battle the Fraccion of the Old Man Espada. He remained sitting on his throne, watching impassively as you fought his underlings. Soi Fon was busy fighting Ggio Vega while you were facing an Arrancar named Ajenjo Ibarra. He was holding his Zanpakuto in one hand and his other hand was powering up a cero. You sighed and unsheathed your Zanpakuto finally. This was going to be a long fight. Unintentionally, your eyes went to the blazing prison to your right. You could feel him there. He was calm. His spiritual pressure hadn’t changed a bit which made you nervous. If he wasn’t a bit rattled to see you all there, he definitely had something up his sleeve. From the corner of your eye, you saw a cero flying right at you. You dodged it easily with your flash step and attacked the Arrancar head-on. You were exchanging blows with equal proficiency. He blocked your sword with his and elbowed you in your stomach, sending you flying into a building. You crashed into a glass window, the shards hitting your face and hands. Before you could get up, you felt his presence behind you. He grabbed you by your neck and lifted you in the air.
“If we knew Soul Reapers were this weak, we wouldn’t have let Lord Barragan even set foot here. Pathetic.”
You scoffed at his words and kicked him right in his jaw, freeing yourself. He rubbed his jaw and sent a glare your way.
“You couldn’t possibly be calling me weak, could you? I haven’t even shown you a quarter of my power.”
“Is that so? What’s stopping you then?”
“I don’t like stomping on ants.”
He growled at your response and leaped at you with his Zanpakuto. You parried it easily and kicked him again, this time square in the chest. He got sent back a few paces and hit a wall. You decided to end the battle but your opponent got up and started screaming in rage.
“How dare you! I am Ibarra Ajenjo! I am a Fraccion of Lord Barragan! No puny soul reaper can lay their dirty feet on me!” His eyes were open wide and his face was twisted into an expression of fury. He held his zanpakuto with both of his hands and you realized he was about to release it.
“Slither, Bloodworm!”
His form started to change. His backbone extended and his legs disappeared. The hollow mask that was on his face now shifted to his back and covered his spine as spikes. His arms also became long and gangly. He smiled and you could see his teeth had also changed into fangs. His resurreccion was hideous. Without wasting a moment, he rushed at you with enhanced sonido. You barely managed to dodge as he tried to sink his fangs into your left shoulder. He turned to you swiftly, firing a cero with his newly formed “tail”. You decided against releasing your Zanpakuto.
 “Bakudo 39, Enkosen!” A protective shield formed before you and took the cero head-on, destroying it effectively. Ajenjo’s frustration became apparent on his face as his elongated tongue darted out in a hiss, much like a snake. “Come on little soul reaper, release your sword.”
You smirked at him and used Kido instead.  “Bakudo 61, Rikujokoro!” The beams of light lodged themselves into his midsection, pinning him down. You lunged at him with your sword raised, determined to end it right there. However, just as you were about to stab him in the neck, his tail curved above his head and its point stabbed you in your arm. You winced and flash stepped away from him. He got rid of the kido and laughed. “You underestimate me shinigami!”
“It appears to be so.” You drew in a long breath. “I guess I have no option but to meet you with equal force.”
“Finally.”
You held your zanpakuto up horizontally in front of you.
“Breathe, Soyokaze.” Your sword disappeared, leaving only the handle behind. His eyes widened in surprise. “It’s time to end this.” You closed your eyes and sensed out every particle of your zanpakuto that was now a part of the air around you. You concentrated them around Ajenjo and opened your eyes.
“Kaze no kama!” The particles spun around him like a tornado and left a million cuts on him. He couldn’t comprehend as your attack was over in a split second. Blood oozed out from his cuts, leaving his otherwise white body a red mess. Your opponent fell dead and your zanpakuto returned to its sheath.
You left the place and decided to check on others. Ukitake was sitting on a roof and Shunsui was fighting an espada nearby. Soi Fon was now fighting the old Espada and Captain Hitsugaya was fighting the yellow-haired female Espada. You knew you couldn’t help any of them as it would be insulting. Your eyes once again found their way back to the burning flames. Aizen was more than capable of getting rid of them so why wasn’t he? Your gut feeling was telling you that there was something wrong with all of this. Ichigo and the other captains still hadn’t returned from Hueco Mundo. If there was something that had always been the same with Aizen, it was his far-sightedness. He always thought ahead. You glanced at the Head Captain who was standing near the fire, keeping an eye on it. Good. If he’s around, we might make it.
Aizen was standing in the middle of the flames, calmly reflecting on everything that was happening. You had just killed one of his henchmen but he was far from angry. He always knew you were strong enough to handle them, even the Espada. Aizen knew exactly how strong your air type zanpakuto was. It was like Senbonzakura, as in it could also turn into millions of small blades but being air-type, the particles became invisible to the naked eye. Like Haineko, it could cut anything it came in contact with but because the enemies couldn’t see it, they were usually defenseless.  It was perfect and it belonged to the perfect wielder, in Azien’s opinion. He had always been intrigued by you, even before he planned to marry you. You were just a seated officer in Squad 5. Aizen blamed that on Shinji’s lack of vision. He couldn’t see your potential or perhaps you hid it well. But Aizen saw right through your acts of being clumsy and lazy. He understood you well. How couldn’t he when he was also putting on the same act? Pretending to be weak and emotionally sensitive so you could be left alone, he understood that. An excellent disguise. Aizen’s thoughts dwelled on you for some time. He found himself reminiscing the moments you had spent together. It was a foreign feeling. Never had he ever thought that he would one day regret something. And yet he regretted leaving you behind every waking moment.
The Espada that Shunsui was fighting had finally released his sword. The fight between them had intensified a lot. You stood beside Ukitake, glancing at the wall aflame between you and Aizen every now and then.  The espada, Coyote Starrk, was now goading Shunsui into using his bankai. You didn’t know much about it but Ukitake had once mentioned that if the Squad 8 Captain ever used his bankai openly, it would cause them more harm than the enemy. As soon as he heard it, Ukitake jumped into their fight and used his zanpakuto to reflect back the cero that Starrk had shot at Shunsui. His bankai must really be that frightening. Interfering in another’s fight was strictly discouraged and looked down upon. If Ukitake did it, it must’ve been for a very important reason. The fight went on between the Espada and the captains. In an instant, a Garganta opened above them and someone stepped out. You were hoping it was Ichigo but a small arrancar was the one who came into view. Behind him was a gigantic being, with a purple glowing eye. You recognized it from the day Aizen had left the Soul Society. Everyone’s attention was on the newly arrived arrancar.  He looked like a child and the thing behind him was formless. It was giant and had an equally big mouth. The arrancar began wailing loudly and the bigger one turned towards the fire restraining the traitors. Within a moment, he began blowing at the fire and extinguished it completely, freeing the three ex-captains. As soon as Aizen came out, your eyes went straight to him. You found him already looking at you. The corners of his mouth lifted up and if you didn’t know any better, you’d think he genuinely smiled at you. Bloody trickster! You turned away and shared a look with Ukitake who looked worried.
No one could comprehend what happened next. One moment Ukitake was looking at you and the very next he was plummeting down. The little Arrancar now stood in his place, blood dripping down his hand. Shunsui lunged at him, eyes full of anger. But he was intercepted by Starrk, who shot a cero at him point blank. Shunsui soon followed his friend down to the ground, falling face down. You couldn’t move. Your eyes were glued to Ukitake and Shunsui. They were lying on the ground motionless. The Arrancar wailed again and the giant thing again began blowing air, this time at the female Espada trapped by Hitsugaya and the old man Espada trapped by Soi Fon. Both of them were released immediately, rendering all the shinigamis’ efforts useless. The tide of the battle had once again turned in favor of Aizen. You looked at him again and sure enough, he stood there smiling. Of course, he was. Everything was as he wanted it to be. Aizen couldn’t be outplanned. They were doomed.

I'm having an UM ACTUALLY- moment, but I've seen some posts recently being like, acting like Grimmjow isn't smart? And they probably are joking or mean it affectionately, but it lowkey bothers me that people seem to think quiet/calm = smart and brash/rowdy = unintelligent. Yeah, he's no mega-genius manipulator like Aizen, Urahara or whatnot, but Grimmjow is definitely intelligent. Also he's my favourite character in Bleach so I feel obligated to defend my man. So, some examples:
He is the Espada who openly states several times that Aizen doesn't give a shit about his subordinates, despite his pretence of calling them "my dear Espada" and giving them tea and so on. He knows that Aizen only cares for himself and his own ambition and he personally experiences this when Aizen makes him back off from attacking Tousen after slicing off his arm, or when he purposefully has Orihime heal Grimmjow in front of Luppi with the intent to make the two duke it out for position as Sixth. (Also, he was equally shocked as Luppi - probably moreso - when Orihime gave his arm back, but unlike Luppi he didn't let it distract him from immediately dispatching his rival.) Even Starrk, an Espada who people praise a lot for being cool-headed and intelligent, is surprised by Aizen's callousness, shown when he laments that Aizen didn't even spare a word for Barragan when he was killed by Hachi and Soi Fon. Starrk and Halibel felt gratitude towards Aizen for helping them find companions/giving them a place of safety, respectively, so they were more blinkered in how they viewed him. Grimmjow always saw Aizen for the power-hungry being he is, he only sided with him because it was convenient for his goals (to get stronger) and probably meant death if he didn't.
Also he clocks Tousen's tea and outright says the reason Tousen dislikes him is because he's projecting - Tousen is indeed projecting his dislike of Kenpachi, another 'feral beast' (a feral beast who outsmarted him when Kenpachi figured out how to counter Tousen's bankai lol) onto Grimmjow. Grimmjow has never even met Kenpachi but he is perceptive enough to see Tousen's pettiness towards him is extreme considering Tousen and Grimmjow barely know each other.
(Also he has enough common sense to pretend to be loyal to Aizen even though both of them know he isn't - he only calls Aizen "Aizen-sama" when Aizen is present and pretends he's killing Ichigo for Aizen when he's doing it because of his own grudge. Grimmjow is reckless but he's also an extremely pragmatic person.)
Grimmjow is actually one of the few Bleach antagonists to state the simple, practical solution - kill Ichigo asap before he gets too strong to be a problem. He criticised Ulquiorra for not ending him when Ichigo was able to stand up to him, and goes to Karakura down just to do that and he's only stopped by Tousen's arrival. Later, when Ichigo and co invade Hueco Mundo, Grimmjow again says they need to kill him now because he's invaded their homeland. He wasn't to know that Aizen was planning for this and wanted to thin out the amount of shinigami available to defend Karakura Town, and Aizen shuts him down, but Grimmjow is proven right because Ichigo ends up killing Ulquiorra despite Ulquiorra using his secret, strongest form to fight him, and he's pivotal in Aizen getting sealed away. (I know Urahara was ultimately the one who stopped Aizen but Ichigo was still necessary for that to happen.)
Grimmjow instantly figures out how Ichigo's Hollowfication works even though he's never seen it before, noting Ichigo started breathing heavily the minute the mask broke and that when Ichigo gets into the stance to try putting on the mask again, Grimmjow notes even if Ichigo is able to summon it, he won't be able to maintain it long enough for it to matter.
He states to Orihime that Ulquiorra was the one to kill Ichigo because his wound matches Ulquiorra's Hollow hole and it's a habit of Ulquiorra's to strike prey of particular interest there. Again, pretty observant.
He knows early on that Orihime is important to Ichigo and vice-versa and exploits it for his own gain, like when he makes Orihime heal Ichigo without telling her why until she was almost finished and then purposefully making some of his attacks get dangerously close to hitting Orihime and Nel to force Ichigo to block them because he wants to make Ichigo take the fight seriously - he knows the fastest, most efficient way to do that is to target someone who matters dearly to Ichigo.
I'm sure there's more examples, it's been a fat minute since I watched OG Bleach, these are just off the cuff. And this doesn't just apply to Grimmjow! Other characters who kind of get fanon characterised as "haha what an idiot" when they actually aren't. I know most of it is said in jest, I just feel like Kubo puts a lot of effort into his character writing and I wanted to showcase it a bit here. There's all different types of intelligence, after all.
Also, while I'm being pedantic - Grimmjow is not wearing eyeliner. They're facial markings, most arrancar have them in either base or release form.

<<RIN SAKAGUCHI>>
Tumblr media
a/n: after some time, i have finally completed my bleach oc and socially awkward bean, rin! artwork is not mine.
dossier
full name. sakaguchi rin (阪口 臨; slope to conquer)
date of birth. 11th january
height. 180 cm (5'11")
gender/pronouns. cis-female, she/her
race. soul
occupation. vice-kidō chief at the kidō corps (promoted from third seat), formerly at detention unit
birthplace. east rukongai
zanpakuto, shikai & bankai. n/a
relatives. unnamed aunt (deceased)
relationship status & orientation. in an on-and-off relationship with 12th division lieutenant akon, heterosexual
personality
despite her imposing height, rin is somewhat socially inept with her insouciant expression and shy approach towards others. however, she is not as feeble as she seems and can defend or stand up for herself if provoked. emotionally closed off, she only opens up and displays her affectionate side to a selected few. she is collected and perceptive in battles, enabling her to analyse the most efficient way of incapacitating her opponents effectively.
backstory
ever since she started to walk, rin was heavily trained in the art of hakuda as her parents were part of the onmitsukidō. not wanting their only child and daughter to be a damsel in distress, they instilled a very stringent routine that involved mental and physical teachings, thus depriving her of a regular childhood. misfortune struck when she was an adolescent whereby her parents passed away from a mission gone awry. subsequently, she was raised by her aunt and relocated to west rukongai.
her passion for kidō ignited when she encountered then-vice-kidō chief hachigen ushōda; she was overwhelmed by a group of armed thugs who attempted to rob her on her way home before being rescued. after the incident, rin was determined to learn kidō. upon gaining approval from her aunt, she enrolled in the academy where she struggled a fair amount - after nanao ise, rin was the next case in which she could not imprint on her asauchi. moreover, she struggled to befriend her peers due to her lack of social skills, it took her a long time before she finally made her first friend - izuru kira. eventually, she was able to graduate from the academy due to her prowess in hakuda and kidō. rin was temporarily stationed at the nest of maggots before transitioning to the kidō corps, where she further honed her kidō skills.
she reunited with hachigen during the fake Karakura town battle, assisting him against barragan. shortly after aizen’s defeat, she was promoted to vice-kidō chief.
connections
- izuru kira: the first (and closest) friend she made at the academy. they first met when rin helped to treat his injuries after an intense training session. since then, they became close. rin is also supportive of his interest in haiku and writing (would purchase his novels whenever they were released).
- rukia kuchiki: they met after izuru introduced them to each other. one of the few souls rin was able to open up to; would sometimes confide in her regarding her relationship with akon.
- renji abarai: naturally met after rin was introduced to rukia. on cordial terms with each other. they possess a shared love for taiyaki. he likes being nosy in rin and akon’s relationship, much to her disdain.
- hachigen ushōda: rin’s saviour from the incident when she was an adolescent and the driving force behind her aspiration to pursue kidō. she would go to the human world to visit him whenever she had the chance to.
- akon: on a recurring pattern of being in an established relationship with him and then taking a break for several months. they initially met when he bumped into her and dropped a gigai he was working on (imagine the bear as the gigai).
- nanao ise: recent acquaintances. rin joined the shinigami women's association in an attempt to improve her socialisation skills and safe to say, they get along quite well.
- rose otoribashi: her closest friend's captain. rose introduced rin to manga from the human world and would recommend her a variety of genres.
- soi fon: her previous supervisor while she was stationed at the detention unit. rin maintains a very professional relationship with her. work is work, after all. they are also occasional sparring partners.
- mayuri and nemu kurotsuchi: they hold no animosity towards rin as they believe she does not interfere with akon’s work.
*she views the rest of the gotei 13 and visored members neutrally, mainly because she has not interacted much with them.
trivia
- theme song: i am by jorja smith.
- is left-handed.
- ever since urahara introduced his new invention that allowed tv shows from the human world to play in the gotei 13, she developed an unhealthy obsession with studio ghibli films (and by that she sneaks into the 3rd division to watch them).
- her hair is currently dyed that way because she lost to izuru in a game of hanafuda (loser had to dye their hair in flamboyant colours).
- her favourite foods include anko (sweet red beans), konjac noodles and tonkatsu.
- can cook relatively well.
- does not want to be the kidō corps commander as she is afraid of the responsibilities overwhelming her.
- likes reading josei mangas.
- likes wearing sweater vests in her gigai form.
- has a high spice tolerance.

Delegation (Final Rose x Bleach)
Harribel gaped in disbelief at the mountain of paperwork that had appeared in front of her.
“There.” The strange Hollow that had eaten Barragan said. “You wanted to know what I had planned for Hueco Mundo.”
“You...” Harribel picked up a sheet of paper. “How much do you have written down?”
“My main plan for Hueco Mundo comes out to about one thousand pages.” The other Hollow grinned. “But I’ve got another two thousand pages of additional plans just waiting in the wings.”
“...” Harribel’s brows furrowed. “Why bring this to me?”
“Well...” The Hollow laughed and scratched the back of her head. “I won’t be around all the time.”
“What do you mean?”
And then the Hollow changed. It wasn’t anything visual, but to Harribel’s spiritual senses, it was as if the other Hollow had become a Soul Reaper. Another moment passed, and her spiritual pressure changed again, mimicking that of an ordinary human.
“I’ll be making regular trips into the Human World, as well as Soul Society... and a few other places too. In the meantime, I want someone who can run this place and implement my policies.” The Hollow smiled sunnily. “I mean... I won’t be leaving right away, so you don’t have to worry about doing all the work. I’ll stick around long enough to make sure that everything is well in hand. All you’ll have to do is make sure that nothing crazy happens.”
“Why me?” Harribel asked.
“Hmm... you really want to know?” The other Hollow laughed again. “It’s because you’re basically the only person here other than me who has both the strength and the sanity to run this place properly while I’m gone. I mean... Starrk and Lilynette could probably do it if it wasn’t for the whole accidentally killing basically everybody with their spiritual pressure thing.” She began to stroke what Harribel assumed was an imaginary beard. “I had considered asking Nel to do it, but I think she’s still a bit skittish. I think she’s worried that I’ll eat her or something.”
“Are you planning to eat her?” Harribel asked. “Or me and my followers for that matter?”
“Nah. You guys are pretty good. I’ve got no problems with you. Just stick to the rules.”
“The rules?”
“You can find the main rules on on pages seven through eleven. But they can generally be summed up as don’t be assholes without a reason. Besides, you actually understand that if we ever want this place to be more than some crappy desert of misery and woe, then we need to work together. Barragan would rather be king of a wasteland rather than a baron in paradise, so he had to die. That, and he was an asshole.” The other Hollow shrugged. “But, hey, he tasted pretty good, and I picked up some useful bits and pieces from eating him.”
“I see.” Harribel paused. “This... before I agree to anything, I want to know your name.”
“Diana.”
“Allow me to read this... document first, then we shall see.”
X     X     X
Harribel glanced at Ulquirra. “You are not the least bit concerned? The explosion of spiritual energy was... colossal.”
The other Hollow stared back at her impassively. “If Diana has fallen, then we will have no choice but to kneel. The gap in power between us and her adversary is simply too great. However, if she has emerged victorious...”
In the years since their agreement, Diana’s plans had seen Hueco Mundo transformed. Hollows were brought beneath her garish orange banner. They were educated, trained, refined. Diana called it min-maxing, a term that Harribel had since adopted since it described what they were doing quite accurately Harribel’s own power had increased massively during this time as well, something she had not thought possible.
it was all about minimising the weaknesses they possessed while maximising their strengths.
Diana had basically created a proper functional kingdom, complete with a research and development division, an army, and various social services. It was... bizarre yet immensely gratifying. As her second-in-command, Harribel was given the position of Number One Minion. She would have bristled at the rank were it not for the obvious affection in Diana’s voice whenever she addressed Harribel like that.
And the head pats.
Harribel had not known she needed head pats in her life, and nobody else would have dared. Yet Diana seemed to enjoy doing it, almost as if she knew Harribel enjoyed it despite her never saying a word about it.
Her followers were happier too.
Like Harribel, they had longed for a place where they could have some purpose beyond simply trying to survive another day. Others, like Ulquiorra had arrived more out of curiosity before deciding to stay. Although, perhaps in his case, it was more like he’d been dragged there.
Diana had... a strange desire to collect people and things.
“We’re all missing something,” Diana had said to her once. “That’s why we’re Hollows. Maybe if I can gather enough people and stuff in one place, we can all find what we’re missing.”
It was an oddly sentimental thing to say, yet the words had resonated with Harribel.
“Perhaps.” Harribel frowned as the storm of spiritual energy stilled. “It’s over.”
And then Diana appeared.
“Hail your sovereign! For I return victorious!” Diana cleared her throat, and one of the younger Hollows who had been hired specifically for this purpose hurried to unfurl her victory banner. “Heh.”
Ulquiorra tilted his head to the side. “And your foe?”
“Capable of subduing the rest of you without difficulty.” Diana grinned. “But I ate him, so it’s all good.” She flexed, and Las Noches shook to its foundations. “I picked up some upgrades too.”
And wasn’t that terrifying?
Diana had never explained her ability in detail, but the gist of it was easy enough to surmise. Supreme adaptation combined with the ability to regenerate from basically anything... and the ability to absorb, alter, and even improve upon the abilities of whoever and whatever she ate. It was, frankly, the most terrifying ability that Harribel had ever heard of.
Maybe Diana had been weak once, but every opponent she vanquished only made her stronger. Their strengths because her strengths while their weaknesses were removed, and Harribel had a sneaking suspicion that eating people also gave access to their skills and memories too. The Soul Reaper that Diana had eaten was the most powerful that Harribel had ever sensed outside of the Captain Commander himself. The fact that Diana had eaten him and added his powers to hers...
“What was his power?” Ulquiorra asked. “By what means would he have forced us to obey?”
“Absolute hypnosis.” Diana didn’t even hesitate. “His zanpakuto could create illusions so real that he effectively had the ability to completely control your senses.”
“Then how did you beat him?” The quiet Hollow asked.
“He underestimated me,” Diana said simply. “And by the time he realised his mistake, he was dead. The battle was effectively over in one strike.”
“Ah.” Ulquiorra asked what both he and Harribel were thinking. “And you now possess his power?”
“Yeah. In fact, I’m already working on improving it.” Diana smiled toothily. “But you don’t have to worry.”
“Oh?”
“Unless you betray me, you never have to worry about me using that power on you.” Diana smile widened. “I believe in free will. Sure, I’ll kill people who get in my way or who harm those under my protection, but they’ll die with their minds intact, knowing exactly why I’m killing them. I want my people to choose me not because I’m controlling their minds but because I’m the best option. As for you two and the other members of my... senior staff, I trust you. I have to if this is going to work. And that means no brainwashing.”
“I see.”
“You ate something else too, right?” Harribel asked. “I can... sense a new power within you.”
“Ah. That.” Diana nodded. Her power flexed and that strange sensation vanished. “I won’t get into the specifics, but it’s good news for you and everybody else.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean... upgrades!” Diana punched the air. “I’ve been wondering how to make you guys even stronger, but there are complications with a lot of what I’ve been considering and what the guys in research and development have been working on. A Vasto Lorde is simply so powerful that getting any stronger is increasingly difficult. Fortunately, that thing I ate will make upgrading you guys a lot easier. I just need to practice with it a bit.” Diana paused. “Oh, and maybe now Nel will finally sign up.”
“Diana...” Harribel massaged her temple. “You called her a pony the last time you met her. It’s no wonder that she tried to stab you.”
“Hey! I was using a metaphor.”
Ulquiorra’s lips twitched. “You said that every girl wants a pony and that she was the coolest pony ever.”
“...” Diana’s eyes narrowed. “I sense treachery.” She snickered. “Oh well. I’ll go looking for her again. I’d like to get all of the stronger Hollows on board before I go back to the World of the Living for a while. I’ve got some business there that I need to deal with.”
“Anything we should be concerned about?” Harribel asked.
“Not really. But keep your eyes peeled. There’s some weird stuff going on with the Quincies. I don’t think I have to go around murdering them all yet, but it’s something to keep in mind. You have been practicing those anti-Quincy techniques I developed, right?”
Harribel and Ulquiorra both nodded.
“We have also been instructing our forces in them as well. However, they also been told not to use them without authorisation from us first.”
“Good. We don’t want to tip our hand too early if there are any problems.”

Author’s Notes
Diana is building her very own kingdom of Hollows. Yay!
As for Soul Society, they’re still preparing for war since they don’t actually know that Aizen is dead. It’ll be funny seeing what Gin gets up to from here though since Diana let him go... if only so she can keep an eye on him.

Wind Bells (Bleach fanfiction; Chapter One)
Bleach Fanfiction
Las Noches, Day One
(Introduction)
The halls of Las Noches were quiet, other than the distant sounds of steps from the lower-ranked Arrancar. The rustle was more like white noise to the higher level Arrancar, rank 50 and higher. The 'day' in Hueco Mundo had just started, as the smaller Arrancar began to leave their quarters and start their duties. After the winter war had ended and Tousen had taken over, things were very quiet. There were still the occasional intruder shinigami, and rogue hollow, but otherwise it was quiet. Grimmjow was mended too after his defeat by the hands of Ichigo Kurosaki, and the devastating fight between Ichigo Kurosaki and Ulquiorra Cifer ended in the Cuatro Espada's victory.
Ulquiorra and Starrk were offered to be Tousen's left hand men, but they both turned it down. Ulquiorra kept his place as the Cuatro Espada, and Starrk stepped down from Espada Uno and moved down to Espada number eight. You would think that after the winter war, that the Espada would overpower everyone, but the Quincy King had arisen, and that kept the Arrancar army on their feet. While the war was intense at first, it was more so the occasional intruder now. Las Noches was more of a calm kingdom now, rather than the vicious palace that it was known as. The Soul Society remained the same, other than the fact the Head Captain was now Sosuke Aizen. The World Of The Living was now ruled by Gin, which was more so him silently watching over it. Nobody ever spoke up or objected about the way the leaders led the world.
Meanwhile, Nel took the second Espada place, as Halibel was now the first Espada. Barragan had to serve his time in confinement after his attempted betrayal of Aizen. The third place was now taken by Nnoitra, despite many insisting Ulquiorra take the place as Espada Cero, or Uno. Ulquiorra refused and continued his orders to protect Las Noches, but usually was roaming the halls or Hueco Mundo. Many of the fraccion were taken to the Soul Society, to rival the current captains, and train under Lord Aizen. Ulquiorra was often sent on missions to the Soul Society as Aizen favored him over all the Espada. Everything was going smoothly in Las Noches, the World Of The Living, and the Soul Society, at least for Aizen's standards. Today though, everything was about to change. Whether that be for the good or bad, that is to be decided.

(End of Introduction.)
Oranis, the 253rd Arrancar, was making his way down the hall. He was a very simple Arrancar, his hollow hole was in the basic place of his chest. His hollow-mask was rather small. located on his eye, leading up to his back head. It was in the shape of a bird's feather. His hair was ear-length and a very vibrant dark orange. He was a younger Arrancar, and on the shorter side. He often found himself getting bullied by many of the higher level Arrancar, but was never blessed with the honor of interacting with an Espada. He'd only been created after the winter war ended, as part of the newer formed Arrancar. The newer formed Arrancar were weaker, small and frail. The last of the original Arrancar were only getting more powerful by the day.
Oranis turned a corner swiftly, and continued to bolt down the hall. "Where the hell is it?!" He said to himself, as he continued to bolt. "I've been looking for that damn kitchen for the past thirty minutes, yet all these halls are the same!" he continued to himself. But eventually, unluckily for Oranis, the halls began to get wider. The roof was almost out of sight at this point, and the sound of the other Arrancar shuffling about became less apparent. He began to speed up, as the sound completely reached out of distance. "I don't think I'm supposed to be here..." he whispered, as he sped up. Suddenly, as he turned into a random hall, he slammed into what he thought was a wall. He frantically looked up, only to be met with the terrifying sight of Nnoitra Gilga.
He jumped back, letting out a squeak of terror as Nnoitra stood there, unwavered. Oranis hesitantly looked up at his face, causing a terrible shiver to run down his frail spine. "Aren't small fry like you supposed to be in the baby section? Oh, what a shame you probably got lost looking for your mum." he said with a long creepy toothy smile. "I'm going to enjoy this..." he whispered, as he bent down to look at Oranis. "I- I- S- Sorry sir! I- I got lost in the halls l- looking for t- the kitchen!" he said frantically, waving his tiny little hands. Nnoitra's smile turned into a toothy frown as he straightened up again. "You're no fun." he said. Oranis let out a breath he'd been holding, but quickly had it shot out of him as Nnoitra grabbed the small Arrancar's head with his hand, and lifted him up. "Tell me, do you really think Lord Tousen would notice if one little small new formed Arrancar were to go missing?" he asked as the terrifying toothy smile returned. Oranis began to struggle to be put down, "P- Please sir! I apologize for my foolishness!" He begged, as Nnoitra watched him struggle.
"Put the trash down Nnoitra, we have a mission to attend. You do not want to receive another punishment, do you not?" A monotone voice sounded behind Nnoitra down the hall. Oranis watched as Nnoitra's face faded to a deep frown, and his eyes showed much displeasure. He quickly dropped him, causing the small Arrancar to land flank down on the hard floors. "Oh, screw off you teacher's pet. Can't you see I'm trying to have some fun?!" Nnoitra shouted, turning around to face the Cuatro Espada. "And that is why I am intervening. Your definition of 'fun' is not what I believe is correct." He said, as he slowly strutted over with his hands deep in his pockets, and his eyes calmly closed.
"You're no fun." he growled at Ulquiorra. Oranis quickly stood up, about to bolt. Nnoitra turned back around before Oranis could run. "Hey, I'm not done with you, lil' shit." he said, as Oranis stopped in his tracks. Ulquiorra reached Nnoitra and Oranis, before finally opening his eyes to look at the frail Arrancar. Oranis stared back, looking into the beautiful tropical teal orbs that lied before him. Ulquiorra eventually spoke, "Return to your quarters, trash. You currently reside in the Espada Lines, are you suicidal?" he asked emotionlessly, as Oranis stood there, looking like his soul has left his body twice. "N- No sir! I- I got l- lost! T- Thank you sir!" he said frantically and nervously, Nnoitra growled in boredom as Ulquiorra closed his eyes. "Leave." the Cuatro said strictly.
Instantly, the little Arrancar began to bolt, "Thank you, sir!" he yelled, as he disappeared down the hall. Ulquiorra opened his eyes and turned his emerald gaze to Nnoitra, who had his head back in disapproval. "Do not disrupt the rules, Nnoitra." he stated simply, turning around. Nnoitra groaned in disappointment, as he began to follow Ulquiorra.
The Tres Espada and the Cuatro Espada had been put on a mission to the world of the living, to retrieve a human who had intense spiritual pressure. Tousen wished to turn the specimen into an Arrancar, but as it's never been done with a human before, he called it an experiment. Grimmjow Jagerjaquez, Nnoitra Gilga, and Ulquiorra Cifer had been put on the job to retrieve the woman. The reason they needed such strong forces was because many of the rogue captains had retreated to the world of the living. Tousen didn't want to risk any fraccion, as they were going to be needed in the Soul Society eventually. The Sexta Espada had not shown up yet. Nnoitra insisted on going ahead and getting the mission over with, but Ulquiorra was given strict orders to keep tabs on both Nnoitra and Grimmjow during this mission.
Nnoitra and Ulquiorra made their ways slowly down the large halls of Las Noches towards Grimmjow's quarters, as Nnoitra had his arms behind his head, and Ulquiorra had his hands neatly in his pockets, and his eyes closed. Ulquiorra led the way calmly, as he confidently strutted down the hall, with his kimono's tails majestically wavering behind him. "The Sexta Espada is causing us many inconveniences. He will be properly punished after our mission has been completed." Ulquiorra said emotionlessly. Nnoitra let out a long groan of boredom, "I'm gonna' beat the shi' out of that little fuckin' cat when I see em'." he said, taking his arms out from behind his head, and crushing his fists together, as Ulquiorra simply ignored him.
As they reached the Sexta's door, Nnoitra finally snapped. "Get yer' fuckin' ass out here, you pussy!" he bellowed, as Ulquiorra slowly opened the door. The scene before them was Grimmjow sleeping on his bed, with a hollow-cat on his lap. Nnoitra let out a bellow of laughter as Ulquiorra slightly scrunched up his face. "Trash." the Cuatro whispered, before Nnoitra grabbed the bed, and flipped it. Grimmjow slammed onto the floor, as the hollow-cat jumped up and scrambled away desperately. " What the hell?!" He barked at Nnoitra, as the Tres Espada kicked the large bed away. Before Nnoitra could speak, Ulquiorra came into sight of Grimmjow. "W- what the fuck are you guys doing?!" he yelled, as Ulquiorra closed his eyes. "You were supposed to be up and ready thirty minutes ago. We have the mission that Tousen-sama has assigned us to. You will be punished accordingly later on. As for right now, you are still on the mission. We will be departing now." Ulquiorra stated simply, as Grimmjow stood up and rubbed the back of his neck. "Ok batboy, fucking hell I get it. Don't gotta throw me off my fuckin' bed to wake me up y'know." he grumbled, as Nnoitra crossed his arms. "Let's get this fucking mission overwith..." Nnoitra grumbled, as they made their way out of the room.

(Karakura Town)
The sun began to rise and dip onto the beautiful calm surfaces of Karakura Town. The blaring alarm was quickly shut off by Ichigo, as he rose up from his bed. He continued his normal life after his Soul Reaper powers were stripped from him at the hands of Sosuke Aizen, after his defeat by Ulquiorra Cifer. White and Zangestsu were still with him, but nothing more than voices and dreams now. He'd tried to regain his powers via training from Kisuke Urahara, meditating with his zanpakuto, and trying to connect with the spirits, but left each in vain. Eventually he'd come to accept the fact that he was now a regular human. Orihime, Sado and Uryu all remained powerless as well, and they came to accept the fact they lost their powers quicker than Ichigo did. But all four of the kids eventually gained their ability to see spirits, and sense spiritual pressure back, but not their powers.
The orange-haired male quickly got himself ready for school, as his little sisters called for breakfast. He quickly bolted downstairs, as he struggled his jacket and backpack on. He didn't stop for breakfast, rather bolted right out the door. He was already ten minutes late, and had already missed the bus. As he ran down the streets, the refreshing late-winter breeze hit him. All the snow had melted now, and spring break was coming up. It was a nice, pretty morning, but he had no time to enjoy it, otherwise his teacher would have his head. "Damnit!" he yelled, as he reached the school grounds. He burst into the doors and bolted down the halls of the school, almost crashing into many students.
"ICHIGOOO!!!" Keigo yelled, but was met with the usual punch to the face by his dear orange haired friend. "Ow!!! That hurt!" He yelled, as Ichigo adjusted his fist. "Maybe you shouldn't pounce at him every time he comes in the room, then you wouldn't have to get punched!" Tatsuke said, as Orihime let out a little whimper at the fight. "Stop complaining! Class is about to start!" Uryu said, adjusting his glasses. Tatsuke crossed her arms, as Ichigo sat down. "Alright let's calm down class, now turn to page 272..." the teacher began, but Ichigo wasn't focusing on that. Orihime leaned over to him, "Hey, did you hear that we're getting two new students today? They're both from the UK, and I can't wait to meet them!" Orihime beamed, smiling.
"Inoue, Kurosaki, please do NOT talk during class!" the teacher barked at them both, causing Orihime to straighten up. Ichigo whispered quietly back to Orihime after a moment. "UK? Brits'? Ah great, just what I needed in my complicated life, some tea lovin', biscuit scarfin', brits." he grumbled, as Orihime gave a pouty lip. "Hey! Maybe you'll come to like them." she whispered back, as Ichigo grumbled in response. "Doubt it." he continued, as he leaned back in his chair.
Suddenly, the door flung open, as a younger girl with long brown curly hair, and green-ish grey eyes, along with an older boy with short black hair, and brown eyes, both with glasses, came barging into the room. "Oh my heavens! We are so sorry ma'am! We got a bit lost in the halls in this place!" the girl yelled, as the teacher paused her teaching. "That's quite alright, Kessi. How about you two come in and introduce yourselves?" she said, gesturing for them both to enter. The class was silent except for a few whispers at the back of the class, as the two stumbled in. First the girl spoke, "Hello people! My name is Kessi Kekaii...-" she started, before turning to the teacher and whispering. "What else am I supposed to say?" she whispered, as the teacher quietly whispered back, and she gave a nod then nervously smiled and nervously laughed. "A- And I do art, writing and a bit of instrument playing as hobbies!" Kessi beamed, as the whispers began to become more apparent.
A moment later, the guy spoke up, "Hello mates! My' name is Jake Iskie, and I do a bit of stand-up comedy as a hobby. I know I'm not as talented as my friend Kessi here, but y'know, it is what it is!" he said proudly, as the teacher smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Jake, Kessi. Now let's find out where to place you... How about you, Kessi, go next to Ishida, and Jake, you go in front of Kurosaki." she said, as Jake hopped his way over to the seat in front of Ichigo. 'Great...' Ichigo thought, putting his hand on his cheek, and leaning on it. Kessi calmly made her way over to the seat next to Uryu. She calmly sat down and leaned over, "'Ello" she said quietly, as Uryu pushed his glasses up. "Uryu Ishida... pleasure to meet you." he said simply, as Kessi smiled. Jake quickly sat down, and began to set his book up. He turned and looked over at Ichigo, "Hiya soldier!" he said, doing a fake solute. Ichigo rolled his eyes and spoke up, "Hi, names Ichigo Kurosaki..." he mumbled, before turning his attention back to his book.
"Alright class, let's get back to work..." the teacher started.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For the next week, Kessi and Jake slowly became a part of the friend group. Jake and Keigo grew close, and Kessi mostly talked to Uryu, Ichigo and Orihime.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(We Meet Again)
As the bell rang, Orihime, Keigo, Jake and Kessi sprung up, grabbing their stuff and bolting out of the room. As Uryu, Sado and Tatsuke, and Mizuiro slowly made their way behind chatting. Ichigo slowly walked up to Uryu, and grabbed his shoulder. "Hey." he said, and gestured his head over. Uryu nodded and split from the group, as Tatsuke turned around and looked over, raising her eyebrow. "We'll be a sec!" Ichigo yelled, as they rounded a corner.
As they did, Ichigo's face turned serious. "What is it?" Uryu asked, as he hid behind the wall. Once the  kids passing by slowed down, Ichigo sighed and spoke up. "Kessie... she has a shit ton of spiritual pressure... Jake doesn't, just Kessi. Did you notice it?" he asked, as Uryu pushed his glasses up.
"Yes, in fact I did. If it's dormant right now, that means if it were to awaken, she'd have the pressure of a captain. Matter of fact, she could possibly surpass a captain, and go even higher. For the details I'm not certain, but perhaps if I were to-'' he started, but was cut off.
"I don't need the details!" Ichigo barked, interrupting him.
"I was just about to finish!" Uryu barked back, scrunching his face up.
Ichigo eventually just rolled his eyes, and crossed his arms. "Well, not like there's anything we can even do. But the second thing is more important. Did you also sense the three other spiritual pressures?  rather... familiar ones? I can't pinpoint who though." he said, as Uryu pushed up his glasses again. He stood there silently for a moment, before looking up. "I didn't sense them before, but now that you mention it, I do... I can't pinpoint who they are either, But they're quickly approaching the school!" he said, causing Ichigo to stiffen up. Ichigo suddenly bolted out of the hall, towards the group. "Ichigo, wait!" Uryu yelled, running after him.
Ichigo reached the group of friends at the top of the building, as he panted. Orihime sprung up and ran over. "Ichigo! What's wrong?!" she asked frantically. The others came over as Ichigo bent over to catch his breath. "Spiritual Pressure!.... Coming here!... Big!..." he panted, as Orihime looked at him puzzled. She was about to open her mouth to speak, but Uryu caught up, in the same condition as Ichigo. "When the hell did you get so fast?!" Uryu barked at Ichigo, as he stumbled over. Suddenly, before Uryu could speak up again, a huge explosion hit the side of the building.
All the friends almost fell over at the impact of the explosion, as Ichigo ran over to the side of the building to look at the area of the explosion. He bent over the edge, as the friends followed him. Suddenly, he saw a little girl on the edge of the crater trying to climb up. "Help!" she yelled, as she was losing her grip. Ichigo jumped over the railing, landing on the ledges of the windows. "Ichigo, wait!" Uryu yelled, as the others reached the ledge. "I've got this!" Ichigo yelled back, as he jumped down to the next window seal. He eventually reached the ground, and helped the girl out of the crater. "T- Thank you!" she said, grabbing Ichigo's arm. The smoke began to clear, as three figures were across the crater. "Run along..." Ichigo told the girl, as he squinted his eyes at the figures, trying to make them out. The girl ran off, as the other friends ran out the door and ran over to Ichigo. Kessi and Jake had stuck back to talk to the teachers who had come up to the roof.
"Ichigo you can't run off like that you idiot! You could've gotten yourself hurt!" Uryu scolded Ichigo, but he ignored him. Uryu scoffed, then looked up at the smoke. He squinted his eyes, then his eyes narrowed at the sight. Before them stood Nnoitra Gilga and Grimmjow Jagerjaquez. Ichigo sprung up, and all the friends got into a fighting position, as Keigo finally caught up to the friend group, and took a fighting stance as well. Ichigo saw a third figure behind them, calmly making its way towards the two. "I know that fucking walk..." he said, as he put his hand out in front of his friends to stop them from stepping forward.
The figure walked out of the smoke, causing Orihime to gasp, and Ichigo and Uryu eyes to narrow severely. There stood Ulquiorra Cifer, the Espada that cost Ichigo almost everything, and probably was the reason the Winter War was lost. "What do you want?!" Ichigo yelled at Ulquiorra, as both Nnoitra and Grimmjow gained a toothy smile. "Nothing of you, trash." Ulquiorra said, slowly walking over the air of the crater, towards them. All of them gained more of a fighting stance, as Tatsuke, Kudo and Misuryto stood there confused. "Who is that, Ichigo?!" Tatsuke barked at Ichigo, as he continued to stare at Ulquiorra. "It's Ulquiorra Cifer, the one who cost us the war." he said strictly, as Tatsuke gasped. Ichigo had told them all of Ulquiorra, Nnoitra and Grimmjow. "Then why are you here?!" Ichigo yelled, as Ulquiorra calmly walked over. Nnoitra suddenly let out a groan, breaking the suspense of the moment, causing Ulquiorra to stop. "Can we just kill them and move on?! Fuck your moment, Ulquiorra!" Nnoitra barked, as Ulquiorra turned his head, turning his eyes towards Nnoitra.
"This is not a 'moment'. I am observing due to the fact they have regained their spiritual awareness." he stated simply, turning back to Ichigo, who remained still, with his arm outstretched. "I am here to locate the human woman Kessi Kekaii. Her pressure is located here, in this high school. We will be removing her and taking her captive under the orders of Tousen-sama." he stated simply, slowly strutting over in his usual fashion. Uryu growled, and snapped finally from his silence. "You can't take her! She's just a normal girl!" he yelled, as Ichigo nodded in agreement."Clearly you haven't regained your spiritual awareness as well as I calculated it appears." he stated simply, before continuing. "And who will stop us?" Ulquiorra asked, stopping a few feet away, still standing over the crater. "We will!" Ichigo yelled, as all the other friends agreed.
Suddenly, Grimmjow burst out in laughter, as Nnoitra smiled creepily wide. "And who are you to stop Lord Tousen? You are nothing but trash now. You may have regained some of your spiritual awareness, but you still remain trash to Lord Tousen. You will never be as worthy as you once were, Ichigo Kurosaki." He said, causing Ichigo to glare even more at the verbal assault. Suddenly, in the burst of a sonido, Grimmjow appeared in front of Ichigo, smiling wide. "Oh I've been waiting for this." he said, before punching Ichigo to the side. Ichigo slammed into the building, as Nnoitra followed. Nnoitra grabbed Chad and threw him like a baseball. Uryu tried to land a kick on Nnoitra, but instantly was stopped by his hierro. Nnoitra turned around and tried to punch Uryu, but he dodged. As those two began to fight, Tatsuke landed a punch on Grimmjow's back, but it was like punching a stone wall. He turned around and cracked his knuckles. "Oh this is gonna be fun." he said, smiling wide.
Orihime watched horrified as this fight began to play out, as Mizuiro tried to punch Grimmjow on the side of the head, but his fist was quickly caught by Grimmjow. He was thrown to the side like a sack of potatoes, as Grimmjow continued to walk towards Tatsuke. She tried to kick him, but he easily dodged it. Keigo was watching them fight, until he turned his attention to Ulquiorra, who was standing there calmly near the edge of the crater, hands in pockets and eyes closed. He charged towards him, right through the fight. Once he reached Ulquiorra, he tried to land a punch on the side of his head without his hollow mask. Ulquiorra within the flash of an eye, grabbed Keigo fist. "Trash." he stated simply, as Keigo's eyes narrowed as his fist was easily crushed. The sound of the bones cracking caused the fight to stop for a moment, as they watched as Keigo was thrown into the crowd.
"That is enough. We must focus on the mission, rather than focusing on trash. Find the girl." He ordered, causing Nnoitra to groan, and Grimmjow to growl. "Fine." The Sexta growled, then turned to Tatsuke. "We'll have fun with you guys later." he said, as they both sonido'd away. Before Ulquiorra could sonido away, Ichigo finally spoke up from recovering. "Get back here you fucking dipshit! I'm not done with you, Ulquiorra!" Ichigo bellowed out, as he got out of the rubble. Orihime gasped and ran over, "Ichigo!" she yelled. Before she could reach him, Ulquiorra sonido'd front of Orihime, and his spiritual pressure brought her to her knees, along with the others.
Suddenly, the familiarity of the situation brought back a flashback for Ichigo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Flashback to that fateful day.)
"Ichigo!" Orihime yelled, as she ran over to Ichigo, who now laid on the sands of Hueco Mundo. Suddenly, Ulquiorra sonido'd in front of her, the sudden pressure bringing her to her knees. "Foolish woman, even if you were to reach him, he is far beyond healing now." Ulquiorra said emotionlessly, as Orihime sobbed. Ulquiorra faded out of his Segunda Etapa, into his sealed form, and a few moments later, Sosuke Aizen appeared before him. He looked over at Ichigo, and back to Ulquiorra. "Good work, my dear Espada. You have done well to protect Las Noches while I was away. The shinigami have been defeated, and I will now take my rightful place as the ruler. We will discuss what will happen in further meetings, but as for right now, I will strip Ichigo's and the other reiyoka's abilities away. He will continue to live in the world of the living, without his powers." Aizen explained simply, as Ulquiorra closed his eyes. "As you wish, Lord Aizen." he said, as Aizen smiled.
(End of flashback)
(Hospital
Orihime looked up at Ulquiorra, with a harsh glare. Ulquiorra slid his hands in his pockets and closed his eyes. "Foolish woman." he said, before sonidoing away. Orihime ran over to Ichigo, as he pushed the large boulders off of him. Sirens of ambulances and police cars began to come into earshot, as Uryu and the others looked over. As the ambulances began to load everyone into the car, Ichigo couldn't help but worry.
As he was transported in the halls of the hospital, suddenly alarms began to blare. He sat up frantically as nurses and security rushed through the halls. "What's going on!?" He yelled, as a nurse stopped near him. "One of the patients brought in has been abducted!" she yelled frantically. Ichigo's eyes narrowed, as he tightened his grip on the nurse. "Who?!" he yelled.
 "Uryu Ishida!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Las Noches)
"Fucking quincy! Fucker actually hits decently hard!" Nnoitra grumbled, as he rubbed the back of his neck. Grimmjow growled. They were making their way down the halls of Las Noches, as one of the three prisoners before them slowed down. "Keep moving, you lil' shit! I don’t got all day! While Ulquiorra's getting sucked off or something by Tousen, I'm stuck here babysitting!" He barked at the three. The three prisoners were Kessi Kekaii, Jake Iskie, and Uryu Ishida. All three of them were ordered to stay quiet, or else their stay would be less than 'pleasant.'
As they reached a room, Grimmjow opened it and threw all three of them in, and walked in. Uryu quickly stood up, as Grimmjow slammed the door shut. "Alright, I've been ordered or whatever to tell you guys what's going to happen. So Tousen is going to put an experiment under you three. What happens when a Quicy, normal human being, and a fullbringer, gets transformed into an Arrancar. Don't get excited, though you little shits. You'll all probably not make it out of here alive, but I could care less, as I was just ordered to retrieve you, and throw you in here. Make yourselves comfortable, cause you'll be here for a while." he said in a bored voice, picking his tooth. He left and slammed the door.
"Can someone PLEASE tell me what the hell just happened?!" Jake yelled, as Uryu walked over to the window. "We've been abducted by the Arrancar army, no time for explanations. We need to find a way out, and quickly." Uryu explained, as he observed the window. Kessi groaned, rubbing her head. "Could you chill out for a second mate? Give me a second to process everything that just happened!" she said, sitting up. Jake helped his friend up, then walked over to Uryu. "So... what does he mean by... quincy and fullbringer?" Jake asked.
Uryu spent the next fifteen minutes explaining exactly what they meant, and gave context to the whole situation. Jake was intrigued by the whole thing, while Kessi was fiddling with the stuff in the room. The room was a very bland basic Arrancar room. Couch, table and four chairs, and window. Kessi was more interested in the window, as the Hueco Mundo moonlight seeped into the room. She loved the moon, so she kept finding herself staring deep into it. She'd grown up in a relatively poor family, and had struggled growing up. She had two siblings, but she was the youngest. Her mother had passed away, leaving her to grow up with her dad. For her six-teenth birthday, Jake's family had given her the opportunity to move with them to Karakura town, out of the UK. She quickly accepted , and her dad saw no problem with it. She'd always tried to be a really bubbly person, but struggled to keep the facade up. She preferred to be quiet and stick to closest friend, Jake.
Eventually, the three noticed that there were two other doors in the room that were easily opened. They both led to similar rooms, which they guessed to be their own separate rooms. Uryu stuck in the main one, as Kessi took the left, and Jake took the right. Kessi pulled off her backpack, pulled out her Ipod, and opened Spotify. She sat down on the couch, and got herself comfortable. As she slid her headphones on, and started her usual calm playlist, she decided to make a new one. She had overheard that the place was called Hueco Mundo, and the palace they were in was called Las Noches. She decided to make two playlists, one called Hueco Mundo, which she added non-lyric music to, and had it lean more towards a somber side. Las Noches she put a ton of love music, because the name reminded her of a love story she had read.
Suddenly, the door opened, as an Arrancar she hadn't seen yet, walked in. He was on the smaller side, with deep vibrant orange hair, and a feather like mask on his eye. He pushed a cart in, with food on it. "H- Hello Kessi K- Kekaii! M- My name's Oranis. I- I'll be serving y- your food until Master U- U- Ulquiorra is available!" he said, constantly tripping over his words and stumbling mid sentence. Kessi let a warm smile spread across her face, as she stood up. "Thanks." she said, walking over. The food was simple, a protein bar and some orange juice. Oranis quickly bolted out of the room, locking it. "Nervous one, eh?" she thought aloud, as she took a bite into the chewy protein bar. It didn't taste all that bad, but not as pleasant as the food back at home. She let out a sigh, before walking over to the door that led into Uryu's room. She tried to open it, but then quickly realized it had been locked. "Probably don't want us going into each other's rooms." she thought aloud again, before turning back around. She grabbed the napkin from the cart and walked over to the window, and sat on the window sill. She began to fiddle with it, as she looked out.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Ulquiorra and Kessi)
At some point, she had fallen asleep. A monotone voice sounded itself at the door. "I'm coming in." it said, as the door opened. This caused Kessi to stumble and fall off of the window sill. As she stood up, and rubbed her forehead, she looked over at the being ahead of her. She'd only seen three of these 'Arrancar' so far, and so far two of them have been terrible, and the smaller one was O.K. But this one, this one seemed different. He spoke fluently, emotionlessly, and he was pale as a ghost. He had teal tear lines connecting to the bottom of his eyes, leading down his face, with a single black top lip. His eyes were a beautiful teal ocean, like tropical eyes. He had a broken horned helmet on the side of his head, and a sea of inky black hair. His figure was rather skinny, but he had a white high collared kimono, with two long tails. He stood there straight, hands in his pockets, with an emotionless look. "Uh... Hiya!" she said, dusting off her jeans. Ulquiorra walked in, and then finally made full eye contact with her.
The piercing gaze sent shivers down her spine, as she noticed there was... nothing behind his eyes. Everything about him screamed emptiness, nihilistic, lost, broken, and void. She bit her lip, and then let out a light nervous laugh. "Uh... could I get your name?" she asked. Part of her just wanted to break the silence, and get to know who this being was, but the other part wanted to hear his fluent smooth voice again. He took his hand out of his pocket and turned around, and slowly shut the door. He stood there for a second, before turning back around and regaining eye contact. "Ulquiorra Cifer, Cuatro Espada of the Arrancar Army. I will be your warden so to speak." he stated emotionlessly. The voice sent shivers down her spine, but she mustered up a nervous smile. "Nice to meet you. I'm Kessi Kekaii, just a new student. Nothing special about me." she said. She lifted her hand up and rubbed her other arm, as Ulquiorra stared her down. "In fact there is. You possess immense spiritual pressure, and we are going to figure out if you are a Fullbringer, or something more." he stated, as he walked closer to her very slowly.
"I... know... I just don't like to think about it. I like to think you came in here so I could meet you, for comfort reasons." she said, as her nervous smile faded into a face of unsureness. Ulquiorra stopped walking and turned to her. "Comfort? Foolish. You will more than likely die here. It is best to accept your fate, rather than look for comfort." He said, keeping his straight tone. Kessi looked down sadly, and then smiled. That caught Ulquiorra's interest. 'How could she be smiling after that information?' he thought, as she looked up at him again. His eyes narrowed ever so slightly as he looked into her grey-green orbs. There was not fear, disgust, acceptance, or anything, rather determination. "Well, I still like to think you're not my enemy. It allows me not to panic, and nothing you can say or do will change that." she said confidently. Ulquiorra closed his eyes, as if in defeat. "Very well. The other Espada will most likely change your perspective on that very soon." he said, as Kessi's face turned back to unsureness and uncomfort. "I'd hope not." she mumbled to herself, as Ulquiorra turned to the food cart.
"I will be taking your dishes. I will be back in two hours." he stated, as he pushed the cart towards the door, then opened it. As he walked out, Kessi spoke up, "Wait, Ulquiorra?" she asked, as he turned to look at her over his shoulder. "At least make it one hour?" she asked, as Ulquiorra's eyes narrowed again. He closed his eyes. "Very well. I will return in one hour." he said, as she smiled. "Thanks." she said, then Ulquiorra shut the door. 'Interesting.' he thought, as he turned to walk down the halls.
(Grimmjow and Uryu)
Uryu ran his fingers along the seal of the window, putting pressure on certain points. A while ago, the doors to the other two doors had locked, and he had heard voices in Kessi's room. When he had listened, he heard a very familiar monotone voice. As he was listening, his glasses almost fell off as he jumped when a sudden voice sounded itself. "Snooping already, fucker?" a cocky voice sounded, as the door was kicked shut roughly. Uryu looked over to see Grimmjow with a huge toothy smile standing at the door. He shoved a cart of food in, and slammed the door behind him. "Fucking Tousen put me in charge of you, so don't fucking piss me off or else you'll regret it. Eat the damn food, so I can get out of here." he growled, as Uryu adjusted his glasses, and looked at the food. "And how do I know you're not trying to poison me?" He asked, looking at Grimmjow.
Grimmjow groaned loudly in annoyance, and slung his head up, slamming his hand against his face. "Just eat the fucking food!" he barked, looking back down. Uryu walked over and grabbed the protein bar, and observed it. He reluctantly took a bite off. It was a simple chocolate protein bar, and tasted normal. "We got these from the market while we were in that damn world. You're lucky Ulquiorra insisted on getting this food, otherwise you'd be eating sand and rocks." he said, sitting down on the couch.
Uryu finished the bar, and then turned to Grimmjow. "So Ulquiorra was put in charge of Kessi?" he asked, as Grimmjow put his hands behind his head. "Yeah, apparently Tousen saw that that little girl could be a threat to me or Halibel, so he fuckin' put Ulquiorra in charge of him. I don't get it how Ulquiorra is the fourth, yet the girl isn't a threat to him? Yet Halibel is higher? Fucking rankings off!" he ranted, as he closed his eyes. Uryu pushed his glasses up, and let out a small hum. "Perhaps Ulquiorra is more than your boss lets on." he said simply. Grimmjow stood up, opened the door then walked over to the cart. He violently kicked the cart out into the hall, causing it to crash out, as Uryu jumped at the sudden situation. "You! Clean that fucking mess up!" he barked at one of the lower-ranked Arrancar passing by. The little arrancar quickly began to pick it up, as Grimmjow walked out and looked back at Uryu, "I'll be back in two hours, ya fuck. Don't fucking cause trouble." he said, then slammed the door.
(Halibel and Jake)
Jake laid in the middle of the room, staring up at the roof. He was practically dying of boredom, as this place was plain as hell, not even a book! He put his hands behind his head, and crossed his legs. He stared at the roof, trying to think of some kind of funny situation or interesting story. A knock sounded itself at the front door, "Come in!" he said, barely lifting his head to look at the door. The door opened as a female with a bone mask over her face entered. "Hello." she said, as Jake sat up. She pushed a cart in, and closed the door behind her.
 "Hi!" He said, as he quickly stood up, Halibel opened her eyes, as he walked over to the cart. "Oh great, I don't like orange juice..." he complained. "You do not have to consume it if you do not like it. You will face the consequences of malnourishment if you wish." she said, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall. "Ok, ok, sheesh don't gotta be like that, mate. By the way, names Jake Iskie" he said, as he took a sip of the orange juice, then stuck his tongue out and made a face of disgust. "Tier Halibel, First Espada of Las Noches." she said, closing her eyes.
"Wowee, First Espada? It's my honor, ma'am." he said, fake bowing. "Mm." she simply said, not opening her eyes. He put his hands behind his back awkwardly, and rocked back and forth. He grabbed the paper napkin, then began to fold it. Suddenly Halibel felt something hit her hair. She opened her eyes, and looked up to see a paper airplane stuck in her hair. "I do not have time for your pleasantries, fool!" she barked at him, as he had a smirk on his face. "Ok, heh." he said, laughing a bit to himself. She grabbed the paper airplane and threw it back to him, as he quickly caught it and crunched it up. After a moment, he finished his food, as Halibel stood up and opened her eyes. "I will be back in two hours to check up on your well being. Please don't try to cause some trouble while I'm gone..." she said, as she pushed the cart towards the door. "Yes ma'am!" he said, fake saluting. Halibel let out a sigh, then walked out of the room.
(Ulquiorra)
Ulquiorra slowly walked into his quarters, and walked over to the window. His room was basically the same as the basic Arrancar room, except the couch, table and chairs were black. The pillow on the couch was black with dark teal lacing, and that he had a simple bookshelf. The window was very large, and was able to be opened unlike the other Arrancar rooms, as his room's door was barely ever closed, as he never saw the point to close it. He stared blankly out the window, as he was deep in thought. The woman he had been tasked with capturing and watching was unusual.
 She tried to remain in a positive attitude, but unlike Orihime Inoue, and a lot of others he observed, not just for the sake of others. She was self comforting herself, as if constantly reassuring herself everything is O.K. He could easily see past her facade, and see that she had a much darker side, and was full of despair. Not because of the situation, but because life had beaten her down gradually. Ulquiorra had seen that before, but not this severe. He had heard her talking to herself a few times as well, meaning she has a more sealed mindset, and prefers to collect herself.
But what most confused him, was that she saw him as a friend rather than her captor. She kept saying that he was there to introduce himself, like a friendly person. Even after he explained to her that wasn't the case, she simply brushed it off. He had never seen this before, over all the people he'd had to be a warden too. He could tell she was severely mentally unstable, and best to silently put her on suicide watch. Ulquiorra was also trying to figure out why she had asked him to return in an hour rather than two. 'Perhaps she does not like being alone, and left with her thoughts.' he thought, as he silently stared out at the sands of Hueco Mundo.The crescent moon was beautiful, seeping it's moonlight onto Ulquiorra's face, as he stared stoically out the window.
He had fifteen minutes before he had to go check on the woman. He turned around, and walked towards the door of his room. He stopped when he sensed a presence outside of his room. "Y'know, I've never actually seen you go in your damn room, batboy." Grimmjow said, as he leaned against the wall. Ulquiorra mentally sighed. He walked out with his hands in his pockets, and his eyes closed. "Perhaps that is a good thing." he stated simply, as he turned his back on Grimmjow and began to walk down the halls. Grimmjow glared, then caught up to the Cuatro Espada. "Did your little pet suck you off or something? You always fucking ignore me, but you actually responded." he said, as Ulquiorra continued to walk fluently down the halls of Las Noches. "Don't be vulgar, I simply found a purpose in responding." he said, as he turned a corner. Grimmjow snorted, "You? Purpose? Sorry but those two don't go together." he said, smirking. Ulquiorra ignored the remark, as he stopped at the small hall of doors.
"You will need to go to training with the low-ranked Arrancar in ten minutes. I will remain to my duties of watching the woman." Ulquiorra stated, then continued down the small hall. Grimmjow crossed his arms, and continued to follow Ulquiorra. Suddenly, he got an idea. As Ulquiorra began to slow down at Kessi's door, Grimmjow caught up to him, and stepped on one of his kimono tails, then quickly opened Kessi's door. The pressure of the foot on the kimono tail, and it catching him off guard, caused Ulquiorra to trip into Kessi's room, and fall face first on the floor. Grimmjow bellowed with laughter as Kessi snorted from the couch, trying to hold her laughter back.
Ulquiorra quickly stood up, then emotionlessly looked at Grimmjow. "You pester me." he stated simply, before holding his finger up towards Grimmjow. Before he could react, Ulquiorra beat him to it. "Cero." he stated, as a teal beam shot out of his finger, flinging Grimmjow back through two walls in the halls. As the dust cleared, Grimmjow groaned and stood up. "Fucker!" he yelled, glaring. It faded quickly into a smirk remembering his small victory of embarrassing him in front of his prisoner. "Ulquiorra, the Cuatro Espada, Lord Aizen's little favorite, just fucking tripped! You're getting out of your little stoic facade, Ulquiorra!" he laughed out, as Ulquiorra adjusted the collar of his kimono. "Do not be so childish Sexta. You have duties to attend to, rather than pestering me." he stated, as Grimmjow stood up and ripped off the half ripped shirt, and threw it to the side. "Fine." he grumbled, then stormed off.
(Ulquiorra and Kessi)
"Trash." he said, as he shut the door behind him. Kessi sat on the couch with her hand over her mouth, looking at Ulquiorra. "What is it, woman." he asked emotionlessly, as she let out a little laugh. "Nice- Nice hair-" she mumbled, as Ulquiorra quickly adjusted the flopped and messy hair back to its usual fluent inky ocean. "The Sexta Espada is nothing more than childish trash. He is a pest." Ulquiorra said, sliding his hands in his pockets. Kessi's smile faded into one of concern. "What... what that hole on that guy's gut, Ulquiorra?" she asked, as Ulquiorra closed his eyes. "That is his hollow hole location, all Arrancar have a hollow-hole, to symbolize that they were abandoned and forgotten by the shinigami." he said, as Kessi listened. Suddenly her face turned into one of questioning. "Do you have a hollow hole?" she asked, as Ulquiorra opened his eyes. "Correct." he said, as Kessi finally stood up from the couch. "Where?" she asked curiously, as Ulquiorra took his hand out of his pocket. He unzipped the collar of his kimono slightly, revealing the hollow hole on his lower neck.
This caused Kessi to gasp, and then walk over. "Does it like, hurt?" she asked, observing it from afar. Ulquiorra closed his eyes, "No, it does not." he said, as she looked at it curiously, continuing to observe it. "Is it like, Espada unique?" she asked, as Ulquiorra put his hand back in his pocket. "No, it is not. As I said, all Arrancar have hollow holes, along with all Hollows. Our symbols of death, resurreccions, and rankings are unique to us." He explained simply, as she backed away. "So... I know your ranking is four. Uryu only explained a bit about resurreccions, so I don't know what yours is. What's your symbol of death?" she asked. Ulquiorra opened his eyes. 'Curious...' he thought. She easily got over the fact of a hole in his being, and now she isn't even phased by the symbol of death. Most humans were horrified by these facts. "Emptiness." he said simply, as she smiled. "Well, I guess that makes sense... No offense." she said, as Ulquiorra remained in eye contact. An awkward silence fell over the room.
"Why did you need me to come and check on you an hour early?" he asked. He wasn't one to often ask questions that weren't important, but he wanted to settle the constant thoughts. He'd never had such an irrelevant and small fact bother him so much, and he wasn't sure why this one did. She put a hand up to her chin and tapped it for a second. "Oh... I guess I just wanted company." she said, letting a smile form on her face. Ulquiorra closed his eyes, "I can send a lower-ranked Arrancar to speak with you and keep you company." he said simply, turning around. Kessi frantically shook her hands, "No, no. I want you-" she said hesitantly. This caused something to hit Ulquiorra's core. He'd never felt that before... it was almost like something had just tugged the strings to his very core, it made his gut tighten and his posture to stiffen. Kessi noticed the posture stiffen, and quickly spoke up "Oh, that kinda came out weird. Ok what I MEAN is that I know you the best here and you seem more calm! That other guy seemed like he'd just beat me up or something. And like you said earlier, all the other Espada would change my perspective on things." she explained, as Ulquiorra turned back around, as his morbid curiosity got the better of him.
"Very well," he said, closing his eyes. Often the preferred amount of time spent with a prisoner was 5-10 minutes, but there was no limit to how long. Ulquiorra wanted to pry to see what this girl's real motives were, or if that was the truth, that she truly just wanted his presence. Along with that, he wanted to see the true personality and perspective of this woman. "What are your motives for living?" he asked simply and blatantly. Kessi raised an eyebrow, and then started to fiddle with her shirt. "Uh... I don't really know. Always been the type to not really see the point in things. For a while I always told people that there's no point when they were doing something smaller. After people started to avoid me I just tried to put on a bubbly persona to get people to like me." she vented, as Ulquiorra sat quietly listening. "But as you'd expect, acting all hyperactive and bubbly, when you're really not, is tiring. Eventually it began to take its toll on my mental health. Jake knew that I was faking being happy and such, so he insisted on bringing me to Karakura town." she continued. As she finished, Ulquiorra finally spoke up, "I understand. That was not wise of you to do that." he stated, deciding to put minimal effort into his response.
"Thanks for letting me vent." she said, as Ulquiorra turned his gaze to hers. He was about to correct her, and say that he hadn't asked for her to vent, but decided against it. He'd expected silence to follow, but instead she spoke up. "Ok, my turn to ask a personal question. Why does it look like you're crying all the time?" she asked. This caught Ulquiorra off guard. He had expected her to ask the same question or something else. He took his hand out of his pocket and traced one of his teal tear lines. "Birthmark." he said, dragging his fingers along the tear lines. "Oh, that's a really cool place to have a birthmark. I'd kill to have that to be honest." she said, plopping down on the couch. Ulquiorra looked at her curiously, as nobody had ever called them cool. Barely any even asked about them in the first place. "Your turn to ask a question." she said, as Ulquiorra stood there. He thought for a second, before speaking up.
"Have you ever noticed the fact that you were different?" he asked, sliding his hand back in his pocket, and walking towards her. She put her hand up to her chin, and began to tap it. "I guess. Kind of insecure about being different. Always having mood swings and-" but before she could continue, Ulquiorra intervened. "Spiritual pressure wise." he corrected, causing her eyes to widen and her to laugh. "Whoops.. awkward~" she said. Ulquiorra leaned against the wall next to the couch, and reached over and turned on the lamp next to the couch. She smiled, then spoke. "Not really. Sometimes I'd see these weird people in kimonos hopping through the air. Kind of like yours, but black. They stopped recently so I don't really mind. Always write them off as my imagination." she said, as Ulquiorra listened. "I see," he said, looking straight ahead.
"Ok my turn!" she beamed excitedly, as Ulquiorra mentally sighed. "Have you ever just like... so you know the moon, like, it's hard to explain... I guess I talk with it." she said, then let out a frustrated sigh. "Oh! I've got a song for it actually!" she said, as she sprung up and ran over to the other side of the couch. She picked up her backpack, and pulled out her Ipod. Ulquiorra watched curiously, as she turned it on. She gestured for him to come sit down. He hesitated, but obliged eventually. As he sat down, he watched as she scrolled through the songs, and stopped at one, and clicked on it. She turned the volume up a bit and sat down.
--- Cue "is your bedroom ceiling bored (feat. Cavetown) by Sody ---
I stay up late and I talk to the moon,
And I can't stop telling him all about you.
Wonder if you do the same thing I do.
These four white walls, they know more than my friends.
They watch me type messages I'll never send.
This is the place I just can't pretend to be alright.
Is your - bedroom ceiling - bored - like - mine?
Of you staring at it - all - the - time?
Cause' it's seen so many times where I cry and yell at the sky for not telling you how I feel.
As the song played, the lyrics slowly processed in his head. As the song played, she turned it down a bit and turned to him. "So I often find myself talking to the moon, about like people. I don't get to vent often because Jake isn't really too good with those types of things. I put my music on and just have hour long conversations with it... Obviously no response, but it's nice to be able to get all my emotions out. Oh! I also make playlists about situations I'm in! I love music so much! Like I can't remember many times where I'm not listening to it! And like- Ohh. Oops. I went on another ramble, sorry Ulquiorra." she apologized, as Ulquiorra stood there quietly. "I am not bothered." he said simply, as she smiled. Suddenly the song changed to the next one, as they sat there quietly for a second.
You're beautiful~~
And evil too~~
Sinister and vilee~
For you I'd die~
Or kill myself~
Whichever makes you smile~
Quickly Kessi scrambled for the ipod, and paused the song. She proceeded to blushed slightly in embarrassment. "Oops..." she mumbled, then chuckled nervously. Ulquiorra raised his eyebrow, and looked at the playlist. "Las Noches?" he asked, as he looked at all the music. He noticed all the music was love music, mostly sad. Kessi smiled warmly, and looked down at her Ipod. "Yeah... the name reminded me of a love story I read." she said, leaning back on the couch, and looking up. She reached over and hit play, on shuffle. The room fell into a  silence as the nice tune played.
How do you write a love song, when you've never been in love?
How do you give some, when you've never felt a touch?
Oh I~ don't know, but I want you~
Ohh I~ don't know, but I want you~
Do you look at me differently, did the drop flags drop for you to see?
Or do you see some potential deep in me?
I want to be somebody, so your parents will be real proud of me.
How do you - write a love song, when you've never been in love.
And how do you give some, when you've never felt a touch?
Oh I~ Don't know, but I want you
Ohh~ I~ Don't know, but I want you~
As the music played, Ulquiorra felt himself relaxing ever so slightly. He'd only heard a few songs, and most were rock and country. He'd never heard such a calm soothing song. He looked over at Kessi, who was looking up at the roof, with her eyes closed. The lyrics made sense to him, as they were ever so slightly relatable to him. Except for the fact he found love pointless. Slowly, the song ended with a beautiful piano, as Ulquiorra slowly exhaled. Eventually, the song changed. This one was a bit more jumpy, and catchy.
I am just a fool who keeps on chasing after nothing great.
You are just a fool to keep on pretending that your lovin' me
I~~ Don't know, where I'm supposed to go-o-o-o-o-o
Call me on the phone, as I talk to you while half asleep.
Complaining bout your mother, so I take you to the cemetery.
Rant to me, I like the sound, I like your voice, I like your mouth.
Ulquiorra recognized this as one you were supposed to often focus on the beat, rather than the lyrics. He didn't enjoy this one as much as he did the other one, as it was more quick, but in a way he enjoyed it a bit. Suddenly, another song started, this one sounding more upbeat.
dude you know what, she's so hot! She can attract all genders even when they're straight, like damn!
Girl you're driving through the town, makin' boyfriends turn around, even got the girls thinking
But before it could continue, Kessi frantically snatched the phone and paused it. "Annnd we'll stop right there-" she said, nervously smiling. Ulquiorra had only heard a few words of the song before she paused it, and he already knew he didn't like it. He shifted slightly in his seat uncomfortably, and adjusted his hands. She pinched the bridge of her nose, and removed the song from the playlist. "Sorry, forgot I added that one in there... Did it accidentally. Oh! We got sidetracked!" she said, turning to him. He nodded slightly, and closed his eyes.
Suddenly, the door slammed open. In a blink of an eye, Ulquiorra was standing up in his usual posture, hands in pockets and eyes half lidded. Grimmjow stood at the door, with a smirk on his face. "Well, well. Look what we have here, you've been in here for an hour!" he laughed out, as Ulquiorra kept his straight face. Kessi smiled and stood up. "Yeah, we were just talking." she said, as Ulquiorra closed his eyes, "The woman wanted me to accompany her, so I obliged. What do you require, trash." Ulquiorra said, as Grimmjow's smirk faded into a frown.
"Espada meeting. Syzael requested a meeting, as he wants to test something." he said, as Ulquiorra nodded. "I see. We will report there at this moment." he said. Grimmjow turned around and left, as Ulquiorra walked over to the door. "I will be back soon." he said, then left. Kessi let out a sigh, before grabbing her IPod. "Y'know, maybe I will make a playlist about him." she thought, smiling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As the Espada flooded into the room, they began taking their respective places on the meeting table. Ulquiorra sat down, as the Tousen sat at the end of the table. "As you all know, soon the preparations for Kessi Kekaii, Jake Iskie, and Uryu Ishida's transformations will be commencing soon, but as for right now, Syzael has requested a full Espada meeting." he said, as Ulquiorra slowly sipped his tea politely. Tousen gestured towards the nineth Espada. He smiled, and pushed his glasses up. "Indeed. Momentarily, you will be seeing why." He said, looking over to Ulquiorra. The Cuatro instantly felt a sense of unease, as this meant he was involved in the ninth Espada's experiments. As he was mid thought, everything began to get hazy. Ulquiorra suddenly slammed face first into the table, unconscious. Halibel sprung up, as Grimmjow and Nnoitra began to laugh. "Fuckers dead!" Grimmjow yelled, laughing.
"As shown, I have found a special plant in the Soul Society with the power to easily mark someone of such power unconscious. Unfortunately, Ulquiorra was our dear test subject for this situation. He will wake up momentarily, as I did a small dose in his tea." he explained, smiling. Starrk spat out his tea and bit his tongue. "You fucking drugged him!? That's glorious!" Grimmjow bellowed out, laughing. Halibel shifted in her seat uncomfortably, as Starrk touched his tongue and rubbed the two fingers together. "Do not worry, I only did it in Ulquiorra's tea, as this was a test. He should be unharmed. Unfortunately, he can hear what we are saying right now, so he will be well aware of everything when the effect wears off." he continued to explain. As if this were planned, Ulquiorra slowly rose from the position, and grabbed his forehead. "The disrespect..." Halibel mumbled, as Ulquiorra blinked, then turned his attention to Syzael. "That will be proven useful for the rogue captains." he said in a higher pitched tone. His face almost turned to one of shock, as all the other Espada stared in complete shock at him. He cleared his throat, and corrected himself. "...That will be proven useful for the rogue captains..." he said in his normal monotone voice. Grimmjow bellowed out with laughter. "This is glorious!" Grimmjow yelled, grabbing his forehead. "You gotta give me some of those fuckin' pills, Syzael!" he said, laughing.
Tousen stood up, "Indeed. Continue to work on them, as this meeting is now dismissed." he said, as the Espada began to stand up. Ulquiorra stood up, and then quickly toppled over, catching himself on the chair. "Perhaps you should be transported to your quarters, Ulquiorra." Tousen said, as Ulquiorra panted. "That would be inconvenient and unnecessary." he said simply, as he carefully began to make his way out of the room. As he stumbled to the halls, he began to regain his senses and composure, and within minutes was back to confidently walking down the halls. As he turned the corners quickly, he heard footsteps quickly approaching behind him. He turned into the small hall, and quickly made his way down to Kessi's cell. "Y'know, you're just begging to go back to that little kitten. You're obsessed with her, the fucks up with that?" Grimmjow asked from behind Ulquiorra, as Ulquiorra stopped. "I am not obsessed, do not be so foolish. She is a mild threat if she were to go rogue." he explained, as he continued to walk. "Whatever." Grimmjow grumbled, as he turned around and walked out of the small hall.

(Kessi and Ulquiorra)
Ulquiorra mentally sighed, and then walked over to the door. "I'm coming in." he said, as he opened the door. He walked in, and was met with the scene of Kessi asleep on the couch peacefully. She had her Ipod out on the couch, which was playing a song. The song was a love song he could easily tell. From that small amount of lyrics, he could tell that it was about loving someone who's broken. He slowly quietly walked over, and glanced down at the IPod. The song was called Happiness is a butterfly. He reached his hand out of his pocket, and scrolled up in the songs. All of them were love songs that he could guess. As he reached the top of the playlist, he saw the name. "Ulquiorra Cifer". He looked at the name twice, before leaning back from the Ipod. "Tch." he said quietly. He continued to scroll through the songs.
As Ulquiorra looked through all the playlists, he quickly took note that most of them were sad/depressed. She wasn't one to listen to upbeat he could guess. He continued through the music, listening to a few. Eventually Kessi groaned, as Ulquiorra quickly turned off the IPod, and looked over at her. She sat up, and looked at him. "H... How long have you been here?" she asked, as Ulquiorra closed his eyes. "Twenty minutes," he said emotionlessly. Before Kessi could speak, an Arrancar opened the door. "Sir, Ma'am, your presence has been requested by Lord Tousen as quickly as possible." Arrancar said, before turning and walking out. Ulquiorra closed his eyes and mentally sighed. He walked towards the door and opened it, as Kessi followed. She walked out the hall, and saw ahead of them was Jake and Uryu being escorted by what she could guess were Espada. As they made their way down the hall, Kessi observed them.
They were supported by large grey pillars, connecting to the ceiling which was out of view of Kessi. The floors were a beautiful marble, as the clacking of multiple shoes echoed through the hall. The air was cold, and the aura of the mood was very tense. It was as if they were being brought to their execution. Suddenly, it hit her, the transformation. Could this be it? She nervously grabbed her arm and looked over at Ulquiorra, who was confidently walking with his eyes closed. She let out a sigh, then looked forward. They reached two large doors, which were quickly opened by Halibel. As they entered, Halibel and Grimmjow took their respective seats, and Ulquiorra escorted the three up the steps to Aizen. As they reached the top, he stood up with a smile.
"I have put the Soul Society under the watchful eye of the fraccion I have been training, and have returned for this special occasion. I have.... modified the plan. This is the first time any of my lovely ranks will be hearing of this "modification" so please feel free to express your concerns. As you all know, the original plan forged by Tousen was to transform these three; a regular human, a quincy, and what he thought was a fullbringer into Arrancar. The regular human would instantly die once the special reishi he has been forced to absorb from one of the fraccion was removed from his body, so I will not be transforming this human. The quincies are far different from the Soul Reapers, and would most likely have the same outcome. I have given him back his Quincy abilities, but will not be transforming him... yet. As for this... 'fullbringer'. She is not a fullbringer, rather a special drake hybrid. After many years of hiding, this dragon species had lost this young drakeling years prior. Her soul was forged with an unborn human girl, and now she is a mix of a human, a fullbringer, and a Draconian. She is rather unique to us, but her dragon abilities and form has been forgotten due to her soul forging with the human girl's. I will be bringing his abilities back out, and running an experiment of my very own. It will take a few days, or possibly weeks, for her powers to fully awaken after I awaken them. I will be sending the Quincy, this human, and our dear dragon back to the world of the living, to continue living their lives." he explained.
All the Espada listened contently... except for Grimmjow. He didn't like the concept of sending them back too easily, as they'll probably cause trouble alone, but before he could voice it, Aizen continued. "But... I will be sending Ulquiorra Cifer, and Grimmjow Jagerjaguez to the world of the living to attend their school and be a part of their normal lives, to observe them." he said casually. Ulquiorra stiffened up and Grimmjow groaned in disapproval. Nnoitra began to laugh, as Ulquiorra looked at Aizen almost as if asking for mercy. "Her transformation will be taking place at this moment, as the two I have assigned for this mission will be preparing for their departure." he continued, as he gestured for Kessi to step forward. She hesitantly obliged, but before anything could happen, Halibel spoke out. "Permission to speak?"  she asked, as Aizen gave a nod of approval. "Could I join in this mission as well? I know much about the world of the living, and would appreciate being able to learn more about it. And for my second statement, what about their forms? It isn't normal for them to look like that while they walk around and do normal human things." she explained, as Aizen listened. "Do not worry my dear Espada, I have figured out an alternative for their looks. I have retrieved some gigai for them. As for you coming along, I will allow it, but before I send them, is there anyone else that would like to go? And if there is more, what are your reasons?" he asked, as he looked at the Espada.
Starrk, Nnoitra,  Nel and Syzael all stood up. He looked at Starrk first, "I jus wanna have something' to do to be honest." he said, crossing his arms. Aizen smiled and nodded, as Starrk made his way over to the other three Espada. He looked at Nnoitra next. "I want to get my revenge on those damn humans, but not just physically. Plus I wanna see how this goes, rather than sit around here all day." he explained. Aizen nodded hesitantly, "Do not harm the specimens or the humans, Nnoitra." Tousen pointed out, as Aizen nodded in agreement. He looked over at Nelliel, as she smiled widely. "It sounds like fun!" she said simply. He nodded, as he expected that from his dear second Espada. He looked over at Syzael, as Syzael cleared his throat and pushed up his glasses. "I want to be able to observe these specimens better, as Draconian are a species I have never heard of before, and would kill to be able to study them from afar at least. I also want to observe the nature of humans more closely, and how the group that infiltrated Las Noches regained their spiritual awareness." he explained, as Aizen nodded. As all of the new volunteers stood in a group, Grimmjow escorted Uryu and Jake off the steps. "Ulquiorra, if you could." Aizen said, gesturing toward Kessi.
He nodded and walked up, and quickly put Kessi's arms behind her back and brought her to her knees. Kessi didn't know what the hell was happening, until Aizen pulled out a beautiful orb from a pillar, and moved it closer to Kessi. Instantly she felt this sensation... like frostbite. It felt like her back and face were freezing up, and the rest of her was on fire. She screamed out in pain, as Ulquiorra tightened his grip. Suddenly, Ulquiorra's eyes narrowed as his hands began to freeze, and immense pain struck him, causing him to almost collapse. Aizen noticed it, but didn't say anything. Kessi began to black out, and the last thing she remembered was feeling Ulquiorra's grip tighten, and the sight of Aizen smiling.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Meet The Beast Inside You.)
Kessi slowly opened her eyes... as she sat up. She groaned in pain as she put her hand against her forehead. She quickly noticed she was on very light blue icy grass, and shot her head up. Around her were trees with light blue icy leaves, and the slow small flurries of snow. She frantically looked around, at all the icy plants. She was in a small clearing of the ice grass. She eventually stood up, looking up. The light breeze hit her as the very quiet sounds of snow landing on the ground sounded itself around her. She felt her nose begin to get runny, as she began to walk around, and huddled herself from the freezing cold.
Eventually, she heard big footsteps, slowly making its way through the forest. She slung around to come face-to-face with a beautiful dragon. It had swirl patterned ribbons coming off from the side of its head, and a soft face. It had two long white horns and beautiful light blue scales that shimmered in the sunlight. It had ribbons connected to the back of its elbows and knees. Its wings were huge, with two sharp spikes on the connecting joints. The bones connecting the leather between the wings was the same color as the scales, as the leather in between were white with swirls from what almost looked like white glitter. What caught her attention the most were its eyes. They weren't an amazing beautiful icy blue, no, they were the exact same greenish-greyish that she had. The dragon stared into Kessi, until suddenly lunging forward, and entering Kessi's soul. She fell back, as everything went black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Kessi fell to the ground, Ulquiorra ripped his hands away, and flexed them. They were frosted over, but slowly melting. "Painful, isn't it. I can confidently say she was an ice dragon, don't you think?" Aizen said, as Ulquiorra slid his hands into his pockets, "Indeed." he said simply, as Kessi groaned. Suddenly, with no warning, two spots on Kessi's back began to glow through her shirt. Aizen watched contently, as Ulquiorra stared at them. Suddenly, two long bones sprang out of it, cutting two holes in her shirt. They glowed a bright white as scraps around them flew up, and began to stick quickly to the two bones. Two folded up light blue wings, the exact same as the one the dragon had, formed. As they stopped glowing, Ulquiorra looked at them curiously and stepped to the side of Kessi, observing. But before Aizen could speak, the wings flung open, smacking Ulquiorra square in the face, which didn't move Ulquiorra. A loud slap noise echoed through the room, until it was broken by Grimmjow bursting out in laughter again. Ulquiorra took his hand out of his pocket, and lowered the wing from his face. It was surprisingly warm, and soft. Instead of scales, it was... fur. It was still a dragon wing, just instead of scales on the arms of the wings, it was fur. He observed the leather in between for a moment, before the wings began to flex a bit, before pulling back and folding.
"W... What the fuck happened? Why do I have four arms?!" She yelled frantically, before sighing out of relief looking at her normal arms. She flexed her wings again back and forth in amazement, but accidentally slapped Ulquiorra square in the face again. He reached his hand back out and put the wing back down with a face of disapproval. "Sorry..." she whimpered with a nervous smile. "Rise, Kessi Kekaii." Aizen said, as Kessi quickly obliged and stood up from her sitting position. "It appears while the other abilities will take awhile to fully return, you appear to keep your original pair of wings. Majestic, aren't they?" he asked, as Kessi nodded. "You are all dismissed, get ready for your departure in an hour, assigned Espada." he said, as Kessi smiled and bowed. As she turned around and followed Ulquiorra down the steps.
"Holy cow Kessi! Didn't know you were one for being a furry!" Jake said jokingly, then quickly received an elbow to the stomach from Kessi. "Shush!" she barked at him, as Uryu pushed up his glasses. "Very interesting, I have never seen this before. This Draconian species, do you have any recollection of them?" Uryu asked, observing her folded up wings. She shook her head, "Nope, nothin'. I saw what I guess was my inner world. It was like an icy forest, with a beautiful laced dragon!" she beamed, as Jake poked the leather on the wings. "This is gonna be hard to get used to for sure. I can't wait to get back home!" he said, as Kessi smiled, "Yeah." she said.
"We do not have time for pleasantries. You must collect your accessories you brought with you to Las Noches and get ready to depart." Ulquiorra said from behind Kessi. That caused her to jump and her wings sprung open, one smacking Ulquiorra once again in the face, and one smacking Uryu's glasses off. She quickly folded the wings up and helped Uryu up and gave him his glasses. "Sorry! Don't know how to control them well!" she said, as Uryu fixed his glasses. "That's alright." he said. she smiled, "Good thing for your hierro huh." she said as she turned over to Ulquiorra. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed a red mark on Ulquiorra's face that quickly disappeared. "Indeed." he said, closing his eyes. Kessi snorted, before turning and beginning to walk out of the room, as Jake and Uryu followed Halibel and Grimmjow.
Ulquiorra began to escort Kessi down the halls of Las Noches. The walk back was silent, but a peaceful silence. Kessi couldn't stop flexing her wings and smiling. Eventually as they were walking down the halls, she accidentally flexed them out and hit one of the smaller Arrancars in the face. "Oops! Sorry!" she yelled back as they continued to walk. "You will need to learn how to control your wings if you do not want them to be dismantled." Ulquiorra stated blatantly, as she smiled. "Probably." she said, as they reached the door. They walked in, and Kessi grabbed her backpack and began to zip it up, putting her Ipod in it. "Whelp, not much to really get ready since we were brought here... you know... not consentally. But that's beside the point. Don't you gotta put on your gigai thingy?" she asked, as Ulquiorra opened the door. "I do have it on. To anyone without spiritual awareness I do not have my tear marks, hollow mask or hollow hole. I remain with my skin-tone and eye color, but otherwise look like a normal 'human'." he explained as they walked through the halls.
"Oh yea, I get it. So when will we be leaving again?" she asked, as she strangled the backpack on her back.  She couldn't get it past her wings, so she eventually gave up and put it on her shoulder. Ulquiorra didn't say anything for a moment, "Soon. The other Espada should be ready to depart momentarily. Gin-sama has prepared an area for us to stay at while we stay, and has entered us into the highschool that we will be... 'learning' at..." he said. That last part he said with a tiny bit of bitterness. Kessi smiled, "I'm an idiot too, don't worry." she said, as Ulquiorra ignored her. He rounded the corner, opened the door and walked into the room, as was assaulted by a sudden hug from Nelliel, as her breasts slammed into his face. "Ulqui! I'm so glad you're here! Grimmjow is being a big meanie!" she complained, as Ulquiorra stood there while she hugged him. He eventually pushed her away, and adjusted himself and walked in. Halibel, Nnoitra, Grimmjow, Uryu and Jake were all in there, except all the Espada had different clothing. Nnoitra groaned, "Ugh another woman?!" he complained as Kessi and Ulquiorra walked in. Grimmjow was lounged out on a couch as Halibel leaned against the wall. "We're just missing Syzael and Starrk now." Halibel said. Nnoitra was picking his tooth before he quickly formed a creepy toothy smile. "I can't wait to see the look on Ichigo's face when I kill his precious little girl, Orihime." he said, as Nelliel whimpered and Uryu uncomfortably pushed his glasses up. An awkward silence filled the room, as Kessi moved uncomfortably.
Suddenly the sound of metal clanking and a bag being dragged filled the room as the door flung open. Syzael threw the bag in, and adjusted his metal backpack. "I couldn't fit all of my equipment in, as it would be too inconvenient." he stated as he walked in. "Now just Starrk." Halibel said, as Syzael shut the door. "I saw him coming down the hall, he shall arrive soon." Syzael said, as Grimmjow growled. "That lazy bastard is going to take thirty years to make his way down the hall. I'm going to go get him so we can get this over with." he said, as he sonido'd out then quickly returned with the lazy Espada. Syzael pulled out a small glowing box, and pushed it into his chest. It was his gigai, but he basically looked the same with it. Halibel instead had a scarf over the area where her hollow mask would be. Grimmjow's hollow mask was removed, and same for Starrk, Nel and Nnoitra. They had shortened Nnoitra a bit to look more natural as a human, but kept his eyepatch. Closing wise, Grimmjow wore a simple black hoodie with loose jeans. Nelliel had the simple school outfit on, and Nnoitra had a skeleton hoodie on with sport shorts. Syzael had a lab coat on, which he insisted on bringing. Starrk had a dark orange hoodie on, with loose sweatpants. "Seriously, Starrk? Couldn't you have chosen a bit more of a dignifying outfit?" Halibel asked, as he lazily slumped onto the couch. "I was going for comfort..." he mumbled, as he laid back. Ulquiorra still had his kimono on, and denied any suggestion to put other clothing on at the moment.
"Alright, this is everyone, right?" Grimmjow asked, as he counted. "batboy Ulquiorra, quincy fuck Uryu, dragon girl Kessi, fraccion suck-up Halibel, bouncy Nel, creepy Nnoitra, lazy fuckin Starrk, science freak Syzael, comedian Jake... O.K, this is everyone." he said, standing up. Ulquiorra reached his hand out, and opened a garganta. "Do not use your powers, other than light sonidos and pesquisa. And do NOT engage in any fights!" Halibel said, as they all stood up. All of them mumbled their O.Ks, and then walked through the garganta.

Random question for all of my followers who watch Bleach....if you were to pick a voice casting for your oc or ocs who would you choose?
For the EBKs (Everybody Killer or Executive Bodily Kreators aka Exterminating Badass Kalamities) I have a pretty interesting set of cast members.
I'm definitely doing a two parter for this post alone.
For EBK Hekka aka the og Kenpachi aka the mystic martial artist aka the immortal hyena aka Big GGB (Go Get Back) aka “fuck a zanpakuto, I'll put this nigga in a spliff my damn self” aka “wipe a nigga nose”:
Tumblr media
I can Metro Boomin as the professional calm business type but, if you actually think about fucking with him, well let's just say that he will have no problems returning the favor.
fun fact: if you ever watched a show on BET+ called All the Queens men, I literally based his personality on Marilyn “Madam” DeVille....
•other fun fact: in PSA, Byakuya (who will rather die than admit this to Hekka's face) has said numerous times that Hekka was the only person who made him realize what it means to actually fear somebody.
Next up is EBK Jaír who is the right-hand man for EBK Hekka aka the vodoun quincy, aka the flossiest voodoo combatant of all time aka “94gz no GZ like these you heard, jack bs we jack bigger bs drop my shit we gonna let it squeeze” aka Big Fever aka Big papi locsta himself:
Tumblr media
He was the main one (and Dusty Locane of course) that came up to find as soon as I envisioned this character. I see Jaír as the type of person who moves 15 steps ahead and won't even let you move not a single goddamn step forward.
•fun fact: Yhwach actually considered recruiting Jaír into the Sternritters until he saw how powerful he truly was. He just pulled the “impure” excuse out of his ass because he knew that he was that strong enough to take out his whole team by himself.
•another fun fact: he's literally the only quincy in EBK.
For EBK Tareek aka “AYO REEK, REVERSE THE V!” aka king sand man himself aka Mr I make a call it's war aka it's mr Jack me or Clap me, the fuck?! aka “we gonna spin on these niggas and catch them off guard you heard” aka the big stomper not stepper himself:
Tumblr media
fun fact: Tareek and Hekka are the only pure blood shinigamis of EBK. Nuria is considered a shinigami and espada hybrid and she's also a elemental deity.
another fun fact: outside of the EBK the only other person that told him to reverse the v was Ichigo himself.
another creative fun fact: his zanpakuto is similar to Soi Fon's, since they both wear it on their fingers. Difference is that his resembles something similar to brass knuckles.
But yeah, I was thinking about having him or Kyle Richh casted as EBK Tareek because of their ability to taunt their enemies but Lil Tjay came to mind because of how he immediately bounces back from his Ls.
Next up is EBK Nico aka “put one leg back start geekin like” aka Mr gang blitz from the back imma blitz through the front aka make em get jiggy before we shoot em you heard aka “we finna do a drill on these niggas today” aka Mr 1 way in and 1 way out you can't get jiggy on my block:
Tumblr media
As soon as I started writing this and Talk Facts came onto my rotation, I couldn't help but pick the perfect person to cast as EBK Nico. He's that cocky ass nigga who will have no problems pissing you off and when he screams “new opp pack in the air” he definitely means it.
fun fact: his powers were mainly deprived from Barragan since due to experimentation (guess who experimented on him), but he managed to also control smoke alongside ash as well.
another fun fact: EBK Nico, Kartier and Ohagi are the only pure blooded espadas in EBK
another fun fact: when he disintegrated Jerome's leg and put his ashes in his blunt, he added salt into the wound by getting sturdy as the Sternritter was screaming in agonizing pain while shouting “made a new dance it's called the Jerome bop!”
Next up is EBK Ohagi aka “I'll stomp a nigga out of his shoes” aka Mr “gun jam up he get beat with a knocker” aka Mr “boom a nigga if he come at me crazy” himself aka “imma still up it in designer”:
Tumblr media
I pictured him as Sugarhill Keem at first, but then I was thinking about how Ohagi is seen as the fashion king but will have no problems upping it in designer if provoked and for some reason King Combs came to mind.
Fun fact: besides Hekka, Nuria and Jaír, Ohagi is known for having a deadly temper.
Another fun fact: Ohagi, Nico and Kartier are the only pure blooded espadas in EBK.
Another fun fact: he has leopard form whereas he's black with white spots all over and a espada form whereas he's wearing off-white with all black gradients around his outfit.
Another fun ass fact: when Kenpachi, Shunsui and Byakuya were getting scolded by Yamamoto for leaving their captains robes in battle, Kenpachi admits that he gave their robes to Ohagi for him to hold only for old man Yammi to show them a video of Ohagi, Riina and Dotty dancing and doing lite feet to the song Valid like salad with their captains robes on.
•Hekka sent Yamamoto that video for shits and giggles
•One more fun fact: he's extremely proficient with using any weapon that's given to him like a gun, sword, kunai, arrow and etc.
→He has used Riina's lightning bolt, Jaír's rose gun that was deprived from his tattoos, Ichigo's sword (yes y'all, he has his own gentsuga tenso but it's in a navy blue color) and Bambietta's own bombs against the Sternritters themselves.
Then there's EBK Kartier aka Mr “don't run don't trip” aka “fuck the dissing imma act the fuck up” himself aka “every opp shot, everything dead likeeeeeee” aka Mr “catch a nigga lacking he get put in a box” aka Mr “keep dumping until that nigga stops breathing, duh” aka Mr “shoot up the spot and the shooters get shot too” himself:
Tumblr media
After naming my book title after PSA by Kay Flock, I just knew that there was a way to have him involved as a character and here it was! He's definitely that type of nigga that will have no problems shooting first, asking questions later and then shooting you again if you respond with something he doesn't like at all.
Fun fact: he's the youngest male in EBK but he's the third youngest member himself (the youngest are actually EBK Dotty and Riina)
Another fun fact: He was the OG 6th espada until Tousen kidnapped him and used him for experiments alongside Nico, Nuria and Ohagi.
Although he's the shortest EBK member (he's 5'5" himself) he's still considered taller than Captain Hitsugaya himself.
He's also very proficient in hand to hand combat despite always using a gun 24/7.
His espada form is said to be similar to a bull or a ox due to the horns that are shown on his head.
Aaaaaaand that's about it for the men of EBK, I'll do the women of EBK sometime today or tomorrow but let me know who your favorite character is and why.

The King
So.
Earlier today I said this:
Tumblr media
And then felt like writing a little bit of action/angst for a change.
The outcome is below.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All you can hear is the sound of your racing heartbeat.
“Y/N, go.”
It’s Lucifer’s command, and yet your feet won’t move.
You can barely breathe.
“Look at that. What a pathetic creature.”
The demon on the other end of the room steps forward—barely able to contain his human form as power leaks from his body. Skin slides from one side of his face, peeling from the bone with little resistance. A skull shrouded in a screen of buzzing magic is revealed, and the world seems to stand still.
Your legs shake. You’ve been around powerful demons during your stay, but none have exuded so much power that you’re literally unable to react. You know that you should be listening to Lucifer—turning tail and running from the Castle as quickly as you can—but your body remains immobile with fear.
“Father, please,” Diavolo steps forward, his arms open, but no talking shall be had.
The King of the Devildom looks at his son—the remaining skin on his face melting away as he speaks.
“I trust our kingdom to you in my time of slumber—and this is what I find.”
His hallow gaze turns to you once more. You feel as if you’ve been hit by a train—only able to watch as a black, thorned halo appears above his head. In the next beat, a cloak flares around him like fire—dark as night, and composed solely of his power. It shrouds him like armor—a display of his immense strength—and the demons around you involuntarily shiver.
Ahead of you, Diavolo slowly lowers his arms. He knows that this is not a topic his father will entertain through an open discussion.
The Devildom Prince summons his demonic form, his own magic rising on his skin as he regards the King with bright eyes.
His father can hardly contain his rage at the display.
“I am your KING, boy! You and your court seem to have forgotten that you are nothing but an uncrowned heir.” The demon holds his head high, power extending throughout the room. It feels like the force of gravity has changed, and your knees give out. The only thing keeping you from falling to the floor is Mammon, who is quick to grab your elbow. When you glance to him, you can see the fear in his eyes. The typically loud-mouthed demon has never looked so serious.
“I leave the realm to you in the hope that you continue my path, and yet here you are—,” a sour laugh leaves the King. “Entertaining humans--,” you suddenly remember that you’re not the only exchange student present—your eyes shifting over to look at Solomon, who has broken into a cold sweat. “—and even angels.”
A few paces behind you, Simeon has Luke tucked behind his back.
“Have the demons forgotten that we are not meant to be friends to everyone?”
The King paces forward, and you see the brothers flinch. They’re more on edge than you’ve ever seen—their demons forms materializing as they watch Diavolo’s father with unwavering gazes.
None of them have forgotten the King, and the way he’d ruled the Devildom before Diavolo had taken the throne. There was always trouble between the realms—demons causing mischief, and ruining balance. Trust was basically nonexistent with the celestial realm, and in time, the King had hoped to stage a revolution. To gain more power for himself—to let all beings know that demons have always been, and will continue to be, the superior race.
When the King had handed the torch off to Diavolo—electing to slumber and reserve his power until the time was right—he’d blindly assumed that his son held his ideals. That he’d conditioned Diavolo well enough to be the perfect heir—a mere vessel for his will.
It’s not until right now that he realizes how wrong he was in doing so.
His son had tricked him—hidden away his true intentions until the moment he relinquished power. And the King can only assume based on the fact that angels and humans are currently infesting his home, that Diavolo had plotted all along to undo the chaos he’d wrought.
His son is the complete opposite of him, and has clearly been working to establish balance between the three worlds in his absence.
The King cannot continue to let this go on.
“This mutiny ends today.”
The demon raises his hand—fingers spread wide. Diavolo lurches forward, grabbing his father’s wrist—the King now nothing more than a skeleton shrouded by raw magical energy—and yanks it towards the sky. Not a moment later, a pillar of dark light extends from the King’s hand—completely obliterating the ceiling above his head. The entire castle shakes—sizable chunks of debris raining overhead.
A hand grabs your wrist, tugging you backwards. Whipping your head around, you note that the hand belongs to Solomon. The sorcerer has gone white in the face—his eyes wide, and footsteps hurried as he leads you to the exit at the rear of the room. Simeon and Luke are already ahead of you, practically running to escape as Barbatos ushers them into the hall.
As your fellow human drags you away, you can’t help but glance back at the demon brothers you’ve come to love. Their hackles have risen—power leaking from their forms as they ready themselves for the King’s next move.
“We can’t just leave them to fight!” you say, finally managing to find your voice. However, despite your worry for them, you don’t allow yourself to stop in your escape—your pace quick as Barbatos leads the group of exchange students through the corridors.
Around you, the palace shakes once more. There’s so much magic in the air that you can almost see it crackling.
“Y/N, you must understand that what’s about to happen is something you cannot aid in,” Barbatos informs you, pulling open a door that leads to the garden behind the castle. “Right now, we need to get you all to safety.”
“We’ll take them to the celestial realm with us,” Simeon pipes up, his voice tight. Despite being an angel, and a fairly powerful one at that, he’s aware of how dangerous the current situation is. As much as he would love to stay and help his fallen brothers, it is not his place to meddle with royal affairs. Especially ones that are shaping up to be a coup.
Mind reeling, you hardly have a moment to stop and collect your thoughts—not until you realize you’re standing on the portal to the celestial realm. Luke reaches out to grab your hand as a tremor shakes the earth at your feet.
You feel as if your heart is being torn from your chest.
“Barbatos! Please, I can’t leave them—you, and Diavolo—like this—”
“Y/N,” he interrupts you with a smile. The butler is obviously worried himself, and yet the look on his face is kind as ever. “Lord Diavolo has been preparing for this day for hundreds of years. The awakening of the King at this time was not expected, but you must trust in the Prince, as well as Lucifer and his brothers. They are the strongest demons in the Devildom. They will live to see you again.”
You open your mouth to protest, but end up biting your lip. You grip Luke’s hand tightly, tears welling in your eyes.
There’s nothing you can do that will be of any help to them.
“We will be in contact with you soon,” Barbatos assures Simeon, the portal at your feet activating with a dim glow. The angel nods.
“Please. Be safe, my friends.”
The magic at your feet grows brighter, but before the portal can whisk you away, there’s a loud bang from the castle.
You look up just in time to see Belphegor rocketing through the castle's outer wall—completely limp as debris falls around him. Beel appears through the plume of forming smoke a beat later—wings fluttering behind him as he reaches out, trying to get a grip on his twin brother.
Even from a distance, you can tell that they’re both covered in blood.
“Be--!,” you open your mouth, trying to call out to them, but the Devildom disappears from in front of you. The next moment, your eyes are assaulted by the brilliant scenery of the celestial realm. Your legs immediately give out, and you collapse onto the pavement at your feet.
You think you hear Simeon calling out to you, but his voice sounds so far.
You’re too overwhelmed.
Everything goes black.

Note
the new characters from SAFWY may seem to have silly powers but Narita took care to make them sensible within the bleach verse.
Azashiro is EXTREMELY weak to absorption type abilities, so any quincy and Yumichika would mess him up badly. He also recognizes he would lose against any of the senior captains (Shunsui, Ukitake, Unohana), and Yamamoto goes without saying.
Cien is the strongest espada but not so much that he doesnt recognize that Yammy, Starrk and Barragan have a chance to kill him.
The power scalling gets bad when talking about stablished characters. Narita is a HUGE Zaraki fanboy.
In this novel Zaraki reached the same level of power as the monstrous form Ichigo took against Ulquiorra. And its also stated he could disipate Baraggan´s respira with the preassure of the swings of his blade. That cool strategy and poetic end to the Baraggan fight? Nah son just call Zaraki, its that easy.
Maybe in Naritas mind Zaraki was already the 2nd strongest shinigami after Yama, but since TYBW is a thing the senior captains were stronger than him at this point in time. So Monster Ichigo was kinda mid in terms of power. And that feels like it cheapens the impact of Ichigo BECOMING A MONSTER, he wasnt so monstrous after all. Also Segunta Etapa Ulquiorra was weaker than Baraggan.
Yeah my problem isn't that they don't make sense in Bleach's universe, they fully make sense in the universe. They're just kinda bad lol, Azashiro might have a weakness, but he's also established by oneshotting a character who himself was built up in the lamest possible way: by telling us how cool he is. And then Azashiro walks into a Captains' meeting and walks out alive. Like, it's not flouting the lore, but it does make Yamamoto et al. look super lame for not being able to kill him there.
Similarly, the idea that Szayelaporro can have a digital double made of himself that somehow becomes more powerful than the original...come on. Original recipe Szayelaporro, with his neverending fight and underexplained ability to just turn off his enemies' powers, was bad enough...now you're telling me that a cheap copy is somehow stronger?
So the characters fit in the universe...they're just lame and uninteresting and don't actually have any themes or development, so why would I care about them? It's why I had no problem with the Zaraki stuff. That actually dovetails with what Kubo reveals about him later on during TYBW, and honestly I was sort of hoping he'd be even more powerful and oneshot these annoying OCs. Because Zaraki, you see, is a character I like who has a character arc that I am following, and when I pick up a Bleach story I would much rather read about him or Ikkaku or Yumichika or Uryu or even Don Kanonji than I would the characters Narita introduces here.

BLEACH OCs! Arruda Bordallo & Kiyofuji Yuzo. Arruda‘s a natural Arrancar who got tired of Aizen and left Las Noches, now living exiled in the desert. Yuzo’s Squad 11, and got stranded in Hueco Mundo after a failed mission, while trying to save a friend.
Essentially, Yuzo ends up taking a forceful sabbatical with Arruda. She discovered Hueco Mundo is hollow, and since she didnt have anything else to do with her insane power she just decided to become an architect, and has been remodeling the underground for centuries. She finds Yuzo half dead and helps him out, but he’s injured and super freaked out, having just fought Espadas for the first time like half an hour ago. He tries to kill her, fails, and becomes her student, so he can unlock bankai. They become great friends, somehow!
Yuzo can’t do Kido spells yet because he kinda sucks, but he’s got extreme brute force. His tanto’s Shikai makes the short sword retract its blade, and then he pulls out a pin, throws it like a grenade & it explodes into MORE IDENTICAL KNIVES…that dont hurt him..swag. He does need a minute to retrieve the original tanto because he can’t detect spirit energy that well.
He’s very straightforward and emotional, and has a short fuse. He also has questionable taste in tattos. Yuzo came from a really shitty district that was always on fire, so his first tat was ‘77’, so he doesn’t forget his roots!
Arruda is generally easy going, needs to do something interesting to her all the time, and likes jokes. She used to be part of an Arrancar group called Las Plagas ( courtesy of @vargurvargur !!! )
 She was already powerful when Barragan reigned over Hueco Mundo, but she herself admitted she has no leadership qualities, so even when she got tired of Aizen, she just left.
Arruda’s resurrección is matador-inspired, and can only kill at close range. She’s super OP, but is susceptible to long ranged attacks.
Yuzo’s Bankai is going to be kind of a minesweeper type thing but inside a 3d area… bombs in the air ? Who knows !

As we learned early on in Bleach, a zanpakuto cleanses a hollow’s sins and allows them to reincarnate into Soul Society. Or Hell, if the soul must atone for crimes in the material world. I’m sure a lot of fans are still…unsatisfied that most of the espada perished despite being such cool characters, but we need to consider how death is never the end in the Bleach universe and having the ‘heroes’ slaughter them just took them to a new plane of existence where they’re people again instead of wasteland-dwelling cannibalistic monsters in the…sometimes very crude shape of a person. Provided that the rules Kubo established are consistent, all the dead arrancar have been reborn in Soul Society with the high probability of becoming Shinigami. Provided they meet the requirement: death by zanpakuto.
Yammy: cut down by both Byakuya and Kenpachi
Aaroniero: impaled through the head by Rukia’s ice
Szayel Aporro: impaled through the heart by Mayuri
Zommari: died of injuries sustained fighting Byakuya
Grimmjow: still alive
Nnoitra: cut down by Kenpachi
Ulquiorra: died of injuries sustained fighting Ichigo
Harribel: still alive
Barragan: disintegrated from the inside by his respira
Starrk: cut down by Shunsui’s shadows
The fact that Szayel Aporro and Aaroniero are seen in Hell confirms that their deaths brought them to the next stage in the cycle of souls. Aaroniero’s reincarnation reveals that a zanpakuto’s powers count as much as its actual blade does for continuing the cycle, which you would certainly hope was the case because it would logically defeat the purpose otherwise, but he pretty much confirms it. This in turn means that other arrancar killed by a zanpakuto’s constructs are also safe. Namely, Starrk and the majority of the numeros. The ambiguous one is Ulquiorra since, although he definitely got injured by Zangetsu, his actual death was because he ran out of steam after fighting Hollow Ichigo and he dissolved into dust while actually being in far better shape than Ichigo. It’s not entirely clear where the guidelines are because the only time this concept was revisited after like the first arc was Ukitake’s funeral. Since a visored’s hollow and shinigami powers are intertwined, especially in Ichigo’s case, it’s not impossible he accidentally managed to meet the requirements to send Ulquiorra to Soul Society. Or I guess it’s probable that all the espada had to go to Hell in order for their reishi-dense souls to be properly processed, but my point is the cycle probably continues for all of them.
...Except Barragan who was not killed by a zanpakuto or a shikai or a bankai, but by his own corrosion mist being teleported inside of him via kido. This could just be me, but I find it hard to believe Hachigen saved Barragan’s soul by doing that. There’s also cases like Nirgge who apparently died when Sui Feng fell on top of him while fighting Ggio, and again I have to wonder where the lines are drawn. Omaeda definitely hit him with his zanpakuto before it happened, was that good enough or was this man’s soul snuffed out of existence because they didn’t want to make a gag character win a real fight? And what about shinigami who died by hollows, are they just worm food? Is that where ambient reishi comes from, souls who died in a way that they didn’t transfer to the next realm? I might have been thinking about this all wrong then.

Mortilus reminds me a bit of a deaths head moth. does she also have aging powers like Blurr? i'm imagining her fighting something like Barragan from Bleach. touching someone to rust the joints in a limb, rendering it useless, aging attacks so that they dissipate before hitting her, that sort of thing
oh good she’s sort of moth-y, given that the original Mortilus is-- hm. should i say that. is that spoilers or is it just obvious. anyway
Blurr just speeds natural processes up, which includes decay but also affects growth. Mortilus is more blatantly entropic. nothing grows or heals or revives around her, to the point where the heroes find their own healing factor slowing down, and their usual strengths and invulnerabilities are suddenly compromised. Hellscream is scared to die around her, because with the way things are going, he might not be coming back!
she's also just slightly phased out of physical existence, like a quasi-real ghost, so it's very hard to get a hit on her, and very difficult to track her if she doesn't want to be found. and the apocalyptic messages she's spouting seem eerily accurate when she starts talking about specific instances in the heroes' lives, moments no one else would have known about, especially when it's about their kid alter egos. they start to fear that maybe the prophetic nonsense she's spouting about their future deaths might be accurate too

One of my favorite bleach fanfiction from a long time ago was this one unfinished oneshot where Ichigo and Grimmjow fall through a Garganta and end up somewhere in america. They're stranded and without powers for plot ofc, but the main premise was that Grimmjow went 'wtf, what is this strange language and where are we?' And Ichigo went like 'oh goddamn it we're on the other side of the world with no way out and my English is terrible!' And Grimm is obviously kinda... surprised? Because it defies everything he knew of the Living world, while Ichigo sees it as normal-ish.
Which... makes sense, you know? 'Cause Grimmjow wouldn't remeber his past life in the living world, so essentially he thinks that the entirety of humanity solely exists in Karakura town, a small city in the middle of Nowhere, Japan and the most he knows is from Barragan probably, who was alive when we were discovering iron or something. The concept of countries, different climates, languages, cultures, even appearances and fashion would be alien to someone who 1. Lived in a desert for hundreds of years and 2. Believes he's inherently superior than the people he will be surrounded with for the forseeable future, which will be defied as he is thrown into the complexities of the real world.
I think that in ignorance is something that makes him indifferent to Aizen's whole shebang- him and the rest of the espada ofc. Not that it would change their minds or anything, it's just that there is SO MUCH to humanity that both Arrancar and Shinigami just... don't know (or at least it's implied! Ask yourself, would Urahara know what are physics? Kubo certainly didn't tell us! The same with the Gotei, are they aware that Europe exists? They know of the other branches, but do they understand why and how do they operate?)- it certainly would change the way they see humans.
Normally in "Grimmjow-is-stuck-in-the-real-world-because-he-lost-his-powers" fics, he's kinda just chilling and being completely human despite living as a literal cat in limbo for eons, so it was a nice break.
Idk, I can't find the fic anymore and it only had one chapter. Maybe I should take the idea and write something.
