I always hated Dragonite growing up. I thought he had the energy of Barny the Dinosaur...So why do I love him now??? Suddenly he's so cute and magical. He has like...Dragon Quest or DBZ energy to me now.

Red panda and bunny- forest walk and tale of big moth

Pixel art for today based on videogame Barneys Hide Seek Game for game console Sega MegaDrive. Game about 1993 year. About dinosaur Barnie. It is based on cartoon.

And this is my drawing about the same theme. Red panda and little bunny. I think in my imagination about something isometrical somekind of action. Action game. Where there are such kind animals.  They are jumping and doing it rather dynamically. You are – red panda. And you have a friend little bunny. You are together are going through different zones of forest. All the game - it is forest. And you can go free by map. As in Jungle Strike. Up and down, left, and right. And collect vegetables and plants.

From one had it is about good and kind theme, and from another hand – it is little crzy style. It is not comix zone  of course. But a little like zombie ate my neighborhood.

Red panda in travelling the forest. Looks at big butterflies. And speaks with bugs. All animals are intelligence here. They have their own magical world. Big moth tells a tale to red panda about wonderful river. You can swim and find a new friends – fish. Red panda is searching for a road to this place.  Though all the forest. Big butterfly is flying all over the place. And know everything about the forest.

And every evening all animals are friendly goes to rabbit with a hat. You also can go to drink a tea with giant moth, rabbit with a hat, red panda and bunny. Everyone is telling some tales, or sit and listen to them.

Insane that they used to make me take a nap at daycare and then put a show on. I will absolutely not sleep I am watching barny the purple fucking dinosaur

The thing about Barbie is: It's a good movie. Really as good as everybody has been saying. If you're thinking about watching it, I can recommend it.

But between it and The Lego Movie, which is completely different yet eerily similar, I can start to see the outlines of the Hot Wheels movie take shape. You know about the Hot Wheels movie, right? No screenplay and director yet, set for 2025, after Barnie the Dinosaur (a toy line I'm not familiar with). It'll probably come out a bit later what with the strike now, but it's coming.

I imagine that this movie will have a real world and a Hot Wheels world. In the Hot Wheels world, we follow an every-day die cast zinc car that gets whisked on an adventure. In the real world, a millennial with a young child will have to rediscover the joy of smashing die cast zinc cars into each other.

The movie will feature a variety of weird cars, both current and older ones, including at least a few where 3D artists worked really hard to make the zinc shine through paint. Maybe, if we're really lucky, we'll even get to see some Matchbox cars. Everybody knows Matchbox is better than Hot Wheels. Do not expect any Siku or Majorette, though.

We will have at least one, possibly several speeches about the impact of car culture, induced demand, pollution and traffic accidents. The movie won't show any of that, but it may show one (1) traffic jam. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it joke about Robert Moses is a definite possibility.

If you think that this movie is a result of shallow bland consumerism, don't worry: A character in the movie will say the exact same thing with a disapproving tone. But the end will still be genuinely beautiful and emotional and feature a parent reuniting with both their inner and their literal child.

Oh, and Will Ferrel will be there, obviously.

Now, yes, this is very cynical. The movie has JJ Abrams attached as a producer who wants to make it "gritty", whatever that means, so it's far more likely that it'll just plain suck in ways that aren't even interesting (but it will look beautiful). But if not Hot Wheels, then we can do the same with Matchbox. Or Polly Pocket. Or Lionel trains, if Neil Young sells that to Mattel.

Either way, I think the self-aware toy movie that is both cynical and sincere and celebrating itself for how much it is both, probably has another ten years life in it before audiences give up on it. And frankly, I'm not sure I'm looking forward to all of these. Like, there's an Uno movie coming. I dunno.

Now the whole gang is done! Took forever but here they are, honestly had to do some last minute adding to Poppy's design XD forgot a few things lmao. Any who, onto the character blurbs :D

So starting with Julie and Sally, when the internet was introduced to the whole neighborhood Sally and Julie were the ones that got addicted the quickest. Sally found not just plays of various genres but also musicals which indirectly had her become a theatre history buff. She likes to info dump on Frank and goes to his library quite often to read history, its her way of hanging out with the grump and not relying too much on the internet. Meanwhile, Julie found out about fashion and the many ways you can express yourself through visuals. She became a fashionista and learned everything there is to know about fashion. Julie uses everyone to experiment or to stretch her creativity when it comes to clothes and makeup, though Wally and Howdy are her constant challenge. The two are currently married and live in Julie's house with Sally's house becoming the neighborhood's theatre. Julie keeps a garden that Sally and Frank help her with but its constantly in a state of chaos. Wally calls Julie Cherry/Honey because she smells like the two often she giggles whenever she hears him call her those names, meanwhile Sally is firecracker/sunshine the names are honestly self explanitory XD.

Barnaby is still a jokester but will try to get a nap in whenever possible. He mostly hangs aroung Wally, Howdy and Poppy mainly because they don't take lots out of him to entertain. Him and Poppy are similar to Eddie in the way that they both have a feeling something's going on but ignore it since nothing bad has happened yet. At least nothing they've seen or heard in anyway. Barnaby's work overalls were a gift from Julie who thought the clothes fit him best. He's got several pairs in a rainbow of colors thanks to Julie. He tends to just quietly hang around everyone piping with a comment or joke, tends to use Howdy as a test audience for any new jokes he makes up or comes across. He's got a small crush on Howdy and the only one that knows is Wally who has tried many many times to get these two together. Barnaby worries about Wally whenever he spends the night, he might not know the dark stuff but he knows his tiny buddy isn't doing too good. Wally started calling Barnaby Barnie after seeing the purple dinosaur once and it annoys Barnaby to no end.

Poppy is very much the mother of the neighborhood, always looking out for everyone and making sure everything's going alright. She's always prepared for every sort of scenario. She and Howdy share the responsibility of patching up injuries, she's a bit squeamish when there's too much blood or when stuffing is spilling out. Poppy is usually making something in her massive barn, it can range from food to little trinkets. She's also gotten into knitting and has given everyone at least one knitted sweater and scarf. Poppy can be a bit overbearing with her mothering but everyone's gotten use to it and sometimes its warranted. She has seen glimpses of Haunts since her house is a bit into the forest, this is mainly why she doesn't leave her house as much. Poppy has asked everyone about them but everyone just brushes it off as a trick of the light or something similar. She sometimes asks Wally to spend the night when her paranoia gets the better of her. Wally is never bothered since it usually means he stays away from Home for longer. Wally gave her the nickname Ma since that's how he sees her and Poppy gets all excited and teary eyed when she hears it.
