i may be wrong but regardless i think its silly that, out of the origins, i’m fairly certain the two most good-aligned characters (karlach and wyll) are the ones that cuss the most— with an honorary mention to lae’zel’s various gith curses. karlach drops f-bombs left and right and wyll arguably says the word “shit” more times than most other characters in the game. i like to think wyll’s increase in cursing (esp towards/about mizora) is in part due to spending so much time around karlach. i adore them both

i am getting really tired of people putting so much focus on what celebrity supports what. these are human lives on the line and trying to pull up a single liked tweet or whatever as concrete evidence that your fav is good actually is so ridiculous and insensitive.

i am not talking about when people are like "dont support this persons work, they have harmful ideologies" or being happy that someone you admire is OUTWARDLY spoken (regularly advocating and participating) in support of whatever movement. im talking about you all being like "this pop star supports palestine guys she wore a pin once!!!" "this celebrity went to that one charity event so theyre good!!!1!1" "this youtuber retweeted something once!!" people are dying. why are you focusing on this. its so clear that you are more worried about whether or not you can still publicly like xyz celebrity without looking like "a bad person".

it can be disappointing that a celebrity you like with a lot of reach doesnt say anything and a little exciting when one you do makes a (vague and bare minimum) social media post, but stop putting so much attention on that. its not important!

this post is talking about palestine, but i see this happening in all sorts of human rights movements. stop wasting time defending some guy that doesnt know you exist and do something effective. spend your energy keeping up with news, researching the movement, and ways you can help

Sometimes I'm still just struck by the realization that that happened. Like. Having a set of characters undeniably express their feelings for each other like this? When they didn't in the source material that so many people read and saw the subtext of anyway? Getting to be right? sqq doesn’t even have the time to think 'wtfff??' before Everything Happens. shen yuan’s soul gets shoved back into his original body just moments before he dies. in this version of the au he was choking on food, so he gets the lovely experience of having his airflow blocked again! lucky for him, the system dragged binghe along for the ride so he is saved before he dies again.

this route for mafia au means that the shen family never had to grieve shen yuan. im not sure how the Family reacts to their a-yuan suddenly having a very strong and intimidating significant other (boyfriend? husband?!??? wdym he got married without telling us!?!?) all of a sudden. does shen yuan come out to his family?? no, but also yes, but also not really. they knew he wasn't straight this entire time, so its more like they are coming out to him instead of the other way around. god knows they have bigger skeletons in their closets, they don't care if a twink is in there too.

there is less angst here, and it mostly centers around the comedic factor of shen yuan showing binghe around his house only for them to "stumble upon" an entire closet filled with guns..!?! shen yuan is just standing there in complete horror as binghe grabs a whole ass ar-15!?!?? hes looking at him with the most innocent eyes asking him what this strange metal object is. jesus fucking christ. his white lotus is holding a gun and now he has to explain gun control policies while his brain is leaking out of his ears. he opens his mouth right before an alarm starts blaring everywhere. he’s saved by the bell! except not really, because now six members of his Family are surrounding them and pointing several guns at binghe!!!!! what the actual fuck is going on here!!!!!! this is not how the 'meet the parents' arc is supposed to go!!

i said this in the tags of another post but. the way that the desert always seems to PHYSICALLY pop up whenever scar and grian are together is insane. first them finding the only tiny patch of desert in double life, and now a desert appearing in front of them right as they're laughing together and riding on a llama camel. like we all know this but MAN. they seriously never left the desert. it's become a symbol of their past together, and they can't escape it.

Crazy that one of Jimmy's first thoughts about rations after the crash is keeping Curly alive so he stays fresh in case things get dire. No one else brings it up, they barely mention Curly outside of the crash or his medicine actually.

He's a non factor to them now which is also a little heartbreaking considering how much he did care (even if his judgements were off) about them. It really shows the subtle ways that the game and the world they are in attach value to what you can do and can't do. He's no longer Captain or even Curly, just an after thought, a bad after taste. Yet, Jimmy still sees him as something worse.

It's the fact that to Jimmy, Curly was always someone meant to service and prolong his life. Even in pain and agony, all the thought he can give Curly is his use to him to the extent he is willing to consume him physically to get all he can out of him and of him.

realizing that communication actually doesnt matter as much as ppl say it does, bc most ppl glorify it and see it as a magical solution when in fact communicating your feelings/wants/needs only work if other ppl are receptible to it. which... most ppl arent, both bc many dont want to bc it requires too much effort of them and it's easier to shift blame on others not "communicating", but also bc many many ppl just have brains that arent wired to understand others, or other viewpoints and perspectives. thus, no level of communication will make someone who isnt capable of receiving it hear you. most efforts to "communicate" are completely wasted. and it's frustrating, but what can u do?

I don't like the judo flip in moa as much as the next guy but in my eyes it's largely the result of rick not taking female violence half as seriously as male violence (a result of viewing women as weaker and inferior to men such that their acts of violence don't need to be taken as seriously) and not so much anything about annabeth herself. like I do genuinely feel that annabeth is a complex heroine and definitely one of the better ones in the realm of ya action-adventure fiction produced in the past 25 years but she is still a girl being written by a man and all I'm saying is that her writing clearly reflects that sometimes (more in tags)
