i may be wrong but regardless i think its silly that, out of the origins, i’m fairly certain the two most good-aligned characters (karlach and wyll) are the ones that cuss the most— with an honorary mention to lae’zel’s various gith curses. karlach drops f-bombs left and right and wyll arguably says the word “shit” more times than most other characters in the game. i like to think wyll’s increase in cursing (esp towards/about mizora) is in part due to spending so much time around karlach. i adore them both

i am getting really tired of people putting so much focus on what celebrity supports what. these are human lives on the line and trying to pull up a single liked tweet or whatever as concrete evidence that your fav is good actually is so ridiculous and insensitive.

i am not talking about when people are like "dont support this persons work, they have harmful ideologies" or being happy that someone you admire is OUTWARDLY spoken (regularly advocating and participating) in support of whatever movement. im talking about you all being like "this pop star supports palestine guys she wore a pin once!!!" "this celebrity went to that one charity event so theyre good!!!1!1" "this youtuber retweeted something once!!" people are dying. why are you focusing on this. its so clear that you are more worried about whether or not you can still publicly like xyz celebrity without looking like "a bad person".

it can be disappointing that a celebrity you like with a lot of reach doesnt say anything and a little exciting when one you do makes a (vague and bare minimum) social media post, but stop putting so much attention on that. its not important!

this post is talking about palestine, but i see this happening in all sorts of human rights movements. stop wasting time defending some guy that doesnt know you exist and do something effective. spend your energy keeping up with news, researching the movement, and ways you can help

When they didn't in the source material that so many people read and saw the subtext of anyway? Getting to be right? sqq doesn’t even have the time to think 'wtfff??' before Everything Happens. shen yuan’s soul gets shoved back into his original body just moments before he dies. in this version of the au he was choking on food, so he gets the lovely experience of having his airflow blocked again! lucky for him, the system dragged binghe along for the ride so he is saved before he dies again.

this route for mafia au means that the shen family never had to grieve shen yuan. im not sure how the Family reacts to their a-yuan suddenly having a very strong and intimidating significant other (boyfriend? husband?!??? wdym he got married without telling us!?!?) all of a sudden. does shen yuan come out to his family?? no, but also yes, but also not really. they knew he wasn't straight this entire time, so its more like they are coming out to him instead of the other way around. god knows they have bigger skeletons in their closets, they don't care if a twink is in there too.

there is less angst here, and it mostly centers around the comedic factor of shen yuan showing binghe around his house only for them to "stumble upon" an entire closet filled with guns..!?! shen yuan is just standing there in complete horror as binghe grabs a whole ass ar-15!?!?? hes looking at him with the most innocent eyes asking him what this strange metal object is. jesus fucking christ. his white lotus is holding a gun and now he has to explain gun control policies while his brain is leaking out of his ears. he opens his mouth right before an alarm starts blaring everywhere. he’s saved by the bell! except not really, because now six members of his Family are surrounding them and pointing several guns at binghe!!!!! what the actual fuck is going on here!!!!!! this is not how the 'meet the parents' arc is supposed to go!!

i said this in the tags of another post but. the way that the desert always seems to PHYSICALLY pop up whenever scar and grian are together is insane. first them finding the only tiny patch of desert in double life, and now a desert appearing in front of them right as they're laughing together and riding on a llama camel. like we all know this but MAN. they seriously never left the desert. it's become a symbol of their past together, and they can't escape it.

PSA as I have just come across a post somewhere about the age recommendation/rating for Andrew Joseph White’s adult debut, You Weren’t Meant To Be Human.

The age recommendation we give for his YA is 14+. I would not be making this post if I did not feel that it is super important to stress that this is an adult debut. By our personal count there are 38 separate content warnings that apply to this book in its current form; it is a HARD 18+ rating. We have not been able to even say the first line of the book at events of his, because by show of hands someone under 18 has always been in the room.

While we physically cannot stop anyone, this book is graphic on a level unlike his previous works, and I would absolutely under no circumstances put this in the hands of someone younger than 18.
