⌜venom, barbatos⌟ it had been so long since you last spoke ships ⎯⎯ yandere-ish!barbatos x sorcerer!afab!reader tropes ⎯⎯ referenced death and murder, jealousy, love confessions, angst, vaginal tail sex, right person wrong time, tongue

Nothing could stop the anticipation — he was going to be mad. Dusts of chalk kissed the skin of your calves, ground mushroom powder rested on your hands. Runes and symbols surrounded your summoning circle, charm and latin words spewing protection. The old words so familiar on your tongue recited as easy as though it were your name. Warm wind surrounded your naked body, collecting the tributes and offerings you laid as well as the mushroom powder.
You opened your eyes to watch the ingredients spin around you. The colour teal laid hidden in the gusts of wind, glowing faint and ominously. The words continued to sing from your lips as you readjusted your kneeling form. The rune bracelets and flowers along your wrist jingled while you ran a single finger up the slit of your pussy. Wet. Just as he liked. The tremble up your spine was easily ignored in favour of the incoming form in front of you.
He was still as beautiful as always. It was your own fault for believing that one day when you rang for him he would arrive with disfigurements. Though, you were sure he would still manage to look handsome regardless. His pocket watch was tight in his hand, the engaging of your eternal words still haunting the front. It even looked recently polished and maintained. “I am sure that you are aware of the time?”
Barbatos was in his formal suit. Pressed and primped to perfection. His horns scratched into the roof of the room, tail near frozen behind his body. You remained on the floor kneeling, looking up at the demon. “Of course.”
He remained still in front of you with a stiff smile. Fury. You had known Barbatos long enough to understand how he displayed his emotions. His tail cracked at your words and returned to its place. “Then I would assume you understand what day it is?”
With the smallest of glances you flew your grimoire onto your lectern. It closed itself and the vines extended to lock it shut. Just what day was it? Formal attire, horns and tail pronounced and more anger than you anticipated. His eyes glinted with rage and a soft teal glow emitted behind him. “Yes,” that was right; Diavolo’s ball to celebrate the success of his exchange program. You still were curious why you had received an invite in the beginning — it wasn’t as though you accepted the student role he had offered.
“And yet, you still summoned me?” He still wore pristine black gloves, sleek and warm over his hands. You followed them with a subtle gaze, from the return of his pocket watch to the breast pocket of his suit to when he gently held his chin. He still had them, then. You assumed that Barbatos would have hidden the gloves many decades ago. “Have you no shame?”
Then again, he still kept the pocket watch you had also gifted him. At least the gloves did not hold as much memory behind it. You dusted your hands and stood up inside the summoning circle. All the chalk was gone, along with the petals and tributes you used to bring him to the human realm. “Of course not, you should know that better than anyone else.”
The thumb atop his chin grew tense from his clenched hand. “Many things can change in one hundred years.” Had it really been so long? Last you had counted it was only eighty-two. The idea of time has grown so irrelevant over the years. A hundred years was barely a day in your life. For Barbatos, it was far less.
It felt normal when he took in your body before him. Every scar along your skin marked times that he had been there with you. His eyes stopped on the long one along your hip — the first you had received and the one he openly favoured. Barbatos only glanced for a moment at your crotch, there was no care or surprise. You would have preferred he kept his eyes down, but instead he decided to watch your eyes directly. It made you shy.
Not shy enough that you hid the body you both were familiar with. Instead you glanced away from his strong eyes, illuminated in teal and black. Even after the many millennia that had passed, his presence still commanded parts of you. The glowing of his eyes in complete darkness was still a spark that illuminated fire within you.
“Let’s not waste anymore of your time, Barbatos,” his silhouette has grown to take over the whole room, extinguishing each candle you laid. His horns scratched further against the roof as he took a step closer to you. In avoidance, you turned and groped the desk for a vial. “You should know why I’ve summoned you.”
The whip of his tail gave you pause. It slithered around your leg and stroked at your ass. The scraping on the roof continued. A century without the touch — your body nearly succumbed in an instant. “I’m surprised it took you so long to contact me for more.” His point was far. Your last meeting had been strange, you hadn’t wanted it to ever end… so you ran. The memory of Barbatos haunted you each night in punishment for your cowardice.
You turned back to him, clenching your jaw to avoid reacting to the tail. Barbatos was barely an inch from you. Dusting from the roof rained down slowly as he angled his head softly, his same smile watching you. His tail coiled tighter around your leg while the tip slipped between each thigh. “I found someone else who offered me the same deal -“
“And price. I’m aware.” He took the vial from you with restraint. You nearly shivered at the touch of his gloves briefly against your hand. Hand-made just for him, well over five hundred years ago. His small smile the day you gifted it to him told you everything you needed to know. “I dealt with him accordingly.”
Your nod did little to distract from your small smile. Barbatos hasn’t changed. Your heart lurched in memory of the final words you’d spoken to one another.
I’m afraid I adore you.
…I’m sorry, but…
“Rumour was that he had lost a bet against Mammon.” He held the vial behind a sharp fang, allowing his venom to fill the vial. Its colour was shared with his eyes — glowing teal. You pressed a finger into your palm as the tail rubbed against your pussy. Each ridge and divot reminded your body of the lost flame Barbatos supplied within you. The one that only he could bring. “I assume that Lord Diavolo and Lucifer aided in that story?”
His eyes bore into you once again. You felt stuck in his web, much like it had been that first night you met. He had scared you so easily. You had never encountered a demon before, never practiced sorcery either. Barbatos had been surprised at your nativity to his word, even remarking so when the battle you called him for was won.
That night, covered in blood of the men you had begged he kill, was only the start of your alliance. “It would bring forth a bad reputation about the young Lord if people discovered that I slaughtered a demon out of pride,” his tail rubbed back and forth against you. Wet slipped against it and down your inner thighs. You supposed it was your own fault for the demon’s death. There were far easier ways of collecting his venom that didn’t involve sex. The relationship was bound to return to Barbatos eventually. You were surprised it had lasted the eighty years that it did.
Refusing to turn from the man in front of you, you placed the venom behind you on the desk. “I suppose it would. Though you did leave me with a few years of no venom at all.”
When it came to collection with the demon, it was far more frequent. You needed to visit him at least once a year to keep your supply. Though, it was smart that he had made numerous vials in anticipation for your last visit. Asmodeus had once mentioned over a manicure that many demons were allured by you. You blamed that on your status and the lack of pacts you made to get there.
None, to be specific. The closest one you ever got was Barbatos, and you refused to make it official. “Shouldn’t you have needed more?” With him, collection was more complex. The withdrawal of venom was easy and the strength of it lasted far longer than another’s. The sex that would follow was where it got complicated. You never wanted him to leave when it was done.
Though you were the one who left him the last time. “We had more frequent meetings than you and I.” His furious smile only got brighter. A clawed hand moved to your hips, digging into your skin. You hadn’t squirmed, hadn’t jumped, nothing when he touched you. It was all you had wanted for years. The tip of his tail dip up into your slit, circling your hole. “His was simply not as potent as yours, Barbatos.”
A growl vibrated in his chest. Behind your back he pulled each glove off, returning cold hands to your boiling skin. A century had done nothing to aid your need for him. After many lifetimes of constant encounters, shared murmurs and longing touches you would never be rid of it. “Could you say that again for me, little lamb? Your compliment… it simply feels far too nice to hear only once.”
The name gave you pause. Just how long had it been since he called you that? At least one or two thousand years. You’d grown out of the lamb wandering around a world of wolves. Barbatos, maybe one of the biggest dangers around, helped you to do so.
“What is this?” The demon materialised before you. He wore a uniform and vest, broken pocket watch hung in the breast pocket. White gloves tapped at his chin in curiosity. You shivered on the dirt ground of the forest, his glowing eyes were shifting back and forth. “A little lamb conducting a first ritual?”
Your cheeks were puffy from tears and your white gown torn in your hasty run. “Can you help me?” Your hands were shaking — the summoning circle worked. The women in the cabin were right. You tried to fix your hair and stand, wobbly legs made you fall. “Please, I need you to save me.”
Like you said, you had known Barbatos for many lifetimes.
“I haven’t heard that for a while…” you hummed and lifted a chin to look up at him. In the Devildom, your heights were more equal, but in your realm his monstrous species had more height. An inability to completely hide their true nature from humans. “I think the last time was soon after the brothers fell.”
His claws went to your cheek. Even with his fury of being taken from the ball, from your running away, his touch was as gentle as it always had been. His crooked finger caressed your cheek one and you leaned into it without fight. “You’ve always been my lamb.” There it was again; your fear. Even after so long with each other the softness he spoke with scared you. Pacts, love… you couldn't stand it. It was constricting. It was the lock that kept you strained. It was the marriage you had narrowly escaped with Barbatos’ help.
You cleared your throat and fixed your head. “The fact your venom is stronger is simply that. A fact. I am certain you already know that too.” His circling tail at your hole continued its torment. More slick showered down it and your thighs. His cheeks flushed pink and his claws held you tighter. “You have to return soon Barbatos. Would you prefer our usual deal or instead like something else as payment?”
His tail slipped inside of you without another word. You gasped in surprise at his haste. The curling of his tail around your thigh and down your ass was mimicked inside of you. “What I always want.” The hand along your oldest scar, his favourite, traced the wound with a fond softness. Your legs shivered as his tail dug deeper within you, his palm pressed to your gut to ensure your moan.
“Barb,” you huffed between each shallow breath he allowed you. The claw from your cheek teased down to your neck, tracing the rope marks from the witch trials centuries ago. You could remember that day. Once you'd been caught in the trap, Barbatos burned the whole town to the ground and saved you. “You… what're you…”
His thrusting tail grew in speed, halting your words. It had been so long, you clenched around the tail with an airy cry of pleasure. Barbatos leaned in and shushed you with his kiss. Messy and needy — completely unlike him. Even the first time you'd lain together, everything was proper and respectful. Even when he used his tail it was tame! His fangs locked with your teeth and his long tongue pressed in.
It was no secret that his tongue was long and forked. You had kissed him many times before and he had licked at your cunt even more. Yet again, it was different. Far less restraint. One of his arms grabbed your leg and folded it over while the other pulled at your hair. His tongue was deep in your throat. Air was limited. Your body shook in his hold and he only held you tighter.
The sloppy noise of his tail fucking you spurred you further. You never thought it would be something that made you aroused. He was always clean with you! Quiet even when you were babbling with tears in your eyes. You had long relied on passion through his gazes. Not his intimate actions.
You whimpered around his tongue and fisted at his hair in return. He moved you both against the wall, your back pressed against photos and diplomas. His actions had your hips gyrating right against him. His clothed erection against your cunt. A shiver ran through your back, imagining both his cock and tail ruining you.
The fire in you was successfully sparked by Barbatos once again. You thumbed at the base of his horns and he growled, chest vibrating against you. His tail curled down itself for girth and stretched you. Your hips lifted from the wall as you got closer. So close.
Only Barbatos.
His tongue left your mouth as you came along his thick tail. You cried and moaned together while tugging at his hair, rubbing your face against his neck. His claws held you tight and pressed into your skin without puncture. His dishevelled appearance looked glorious. His kiss and biting at your neck felt even better.
“That's it,” he whispered into your ear as his tail slowed down in its thrusts. When it left entirely, even undoing its coils around your body, you felt empty. The endings were always your least favourite part. You supposed you deserved it after how you had left things with him. What kind of person just runs away when someone confesses their love? “You did so well, my little lamb.”
Again with the nickname. You moved away from his warmth and looked up to your damaged room. Why couldn't you have admitted you shared the love he felt? There wasn't even a mention of marriage, pacts, anything. You had just left your mind to wonder about the horrid things you feared. “You haven't -”
“It doesn't matter,” he let go of your leg and gently placed you down on the floor. First, he collected his gloves from the desk while ducking his head to avoid ruining your roof further. He fixed his hair and attire that you had successfully dishevelled. “I have to return to the young Master’s castle.”
You hid your pout behind a stiff lip and turned up nose. Was this how he felt that night one hundred years ago? Was his soul also crushed at the sight of your back turned to him? “Of course. I'm sure he and all the guests are waiting for you.” He nodded and placed his gloves back on. Your heart clenched that he had kept them.
“Goodbye, lamb,” his pride was as high as your own. You should have known he would want you to suffer as he had. How stupid could you be? A single moment of love would not forgive years of agony.
“Goodb-”
You were cut off by him kissing you once more. His gloved hands held your cheeks as he pushed you back to the wall, teeth clashing with yours. Yet again, he had caught you off guard. Your heart thumped loudly, you were sure he could feel it in your chest. “I’ll return tomorrow night,” he pulled away and pressed his forehead against you. He… wasn't mad?
That was more like him. Barbatos was one of the most patient and proper beings you had met in your long long life. It was something you loved about him. But, as he disappeared out the door to his home, you couldn't help but smile at the venomous passion he hid.
Though, that was reserved just for you.

They have such a high pride that they can never humble down. Never being humble enough to say 'I love yous' always keeping you a secret. Always.
And they hate it so much, they fucking do. They want to hold you in their arms as they gently soothe you. They want to speak to you, they want to -
but they can never. Always afraid that one step wrong and that they might lose their position and such or worse, be seen as weak. After all, they have to maintain a reputation. They have to work endless, even if it means pushing everyone away they hold dear, pushing you away too.
They are hurt, but they never seem to take a notice of that. They want to say that they are also sorry, they too want to cry. But can't, they simply can't the tears don't roll out. All they feel is a void and emptiness they can't explain and just wish that people noticed that.
After all they too are a living being.
And now they are struck with grief of never stopping you from leaving. Now, they question, whether their pride matters or not? Whether they have to do what everyone expects of them. Whether they have to bury their feelings or not-
Whether, they can be themselves or not? Whether they can be honest with people or watch them leave.
But does it matter anymore? After all, all they have is their pride left. The only thing that they live for and their value of being useful.

crying hc | gn! reader. romantic.
a/n: this is so short sorry T_T i had no idea what to do with him
Barbatos:
The butler has always been an enigma, a demon nobody could truly figure out. He was known to only be loyal to Diavolo and no one else- even then, the prince wouldn't be able to tell you the last time Barbatos cried.
It's only when you're in his arms does he finally let them fall. He doesn't particularly know the reason to why he's crying- but it feels nice here, with you. There isn't any emotion on his face, it's blank and the only thing out of place is the tears.
He leans into your hands and closes his eyes when you cup his face, gently rubbing and kissing the tears away. You're everything to him, he realizes. He wants to be your forever just as much as you are to him. The sun resides on your fingertips with how they warm his skin and your touch reminds him of dewy mornings, evening tea and fireflies.
You don't have centuries to live and that makes every moment spent with you bittersweet. One day, you'll have to say goodbye but until then, he hopes you'll love him like no other.

-> One stormy night the God of Anemo witnesses a child being left upon his shrine, with no signs of the parents return he has to find a home for the child...
-> They/them pronouns used for reader - no gender mentioned! Reader is a literal baby! Reader is abandoned by their mother! Mostly fluffy with hints of angst! Diluc makes a brief appearance!
Tumblr media
It had been a long time since Venti had witnessed a storm quite like this... The wind was howling like a pack of wolves and harshly shaking even the sturdiest of trees. The rain pouring like bucket was being emptied over Mondstadt. How unlucky he had been at Windrise when it began instead of the Angels Share where he could be cozying up near the fire with a nice cup of alcohol and listening to some soft music being played...
At least he was able to stay mostly dry by hiding in the branches with the thick leaves shielding him, still it was rather cold so he wrapped his cape around himself. He squinted his eyes as he noticed someone approaching from the distance, though it was difficult to see with the heavy rain pour. It appeared to be a woman - quite a young one too, with a bundle in her shaking arms. It appeared to be a child. The woman approached the shrine while cradling the baby's head and looking at down at them. Venti peered down at her curiously, but did not reveal himself.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry, but I cannot let you ruin my life." She sobbed.
Venti's eyes widened in shock, as he was quite taken aback by her words. He moved to see her better and continued to listen in.
"May Lord Barbatos have mercy on your soul..." She whispered as she carefully placed down the now crying baby on the foot of the shrine.
She said nothing more as she clutched her hands tightly together in prayer, more tears continued to pour down her face but were masked by the rainfall. She looked more and more distraught by the sound of the baby crying out to her. She looked around helplessly before she began sprinting away seemingly as fast as she could, almost stumbling multiple times on her way - leaving the helpless child behind in the rain and cold.
They were clearly young but leaving a baby out here during the storm and away from civilization was beyond irresponsible - not to mention cruel! Your chances of survival were zero to none! Venti quickly dropped down from the tree to pick you up from the ground. You immediately stopped crying when in his arms, your simply stated at him with big round eyes. In wonder your chubby arms reached out for his face to grab ahold of his nose. He couldn't claim to know or understand your mother's situation, but how could she do this to a child that looked at her the way you looked at him right now. Such a bundle of innocence...
He could feel how cold you were despite the blanket wrapped around you, your fingers felt cold as ice when they explored his features. He used his cape to shield you from the rain and the wind the best he could, but your cold body temperature meant you had been outside for quite some time - meaning your mother was likely not from Mondstadt or any place near it. Surely she would come to her senses and come back for you? No one could truly just leave their child behind like this... Could they?
His answer became quite clear after some hours and still no signs of her return. He could possibly follow your mothers trail with the wind, but she clearly did not want to take care of you. She would likely try to leave you behind again and next time he might not be there. He could not force her to take care of you, so he needed to find someone who would. But most importantly he needed to get you out of this storm before you got hypothermia! His destination was the Angels Share, of course. He needed to get you to shelter - Angel's Share just happened to always open and warm. He could also really use a drink while thinking about what to do with you...
The weather was too dangerous to even attempted gliding, not to mention he had you in his arms and thus his only option was to dash through the rain until he reached the city. The look on Diluc's face as he walked in completely soaked with a baby in his arms was simply priceless - he almost dropped the bottle of liquor he was holding! Venti was almost worried he would get whiplash from how fast he looked to double take that his eyes were not deceiving him. It was truly the penniless drunkard of a bard holding a child inside his tavern. Diluc certainly had questions and worries!
“May I ask whose child you have stolen and why?” It was strange to hear any emotion in Diluc's voice - especially worry!
“Why how lowly do you think of me? I found this poor child at Windrise, left all alone in the storm!” Surprisingly his story didn't appear to be a lie, despite it's ridiculousness.
“And what exactly are you planning on doing with this child?” He gazed down at your smiling face. You appeared calm and content, but seemed to be on the smaller size which was concerning.
“I'm planning to find this child a new home!” Venti smiled brightly at you making you let out a giggle.
“And your first course of action was to look in a tavern filled with drunks and bards that can barely even pay for a single apple?” It was definitely a direct jab at Venti and he could feel it.
“Ehehe... I just needed to get out of the storm first!” Venti's smile faltered as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
“Fair enough.” Diluc responded as he continued to clean the glasses and occasionally pouring another drink for those asking for it.
Diluc would have given you something to eat or drink, but you were too young for juice and he didn't happen to have baby bottles at his tavern. You appeared to be doing well enough just by being inside the warm tavern as your cheeks returned to normal a colour with the redness fading away. Your body was no longer trembling or cold either, which couldn't have made Venti happier. He was worried about your constant quietness though, you barely made a sound the entire time since he had picked you up... Diluc didn't seem to mind, as crying children were not what he wanted to hear inside his bar.
Despite having no experience with children - especially babies, Venti got along with you quite well. You were so calm and angelic it felt like nothing, you were simply reaching for his accessories like the flowers on his hat. Trying to keep anything and everything out of your mouth was He didn't appreciate you pulling on his braids, though. For an infant you had a surprisingly strong grip! He felt odly warm and content while holding you, you would stare into each other's eyes as if trying to communicate. Still, he knew he of all would not be able to care for you in the long run.
“Say, Master Diluc... You wouldn't happen to know where an orphan child could be placed?” He laughed nervously.
“That depends, are you going to tell me the story if how you got this child in the first place?” He raised a brow at him.
Venti's expression turned surprisingly serious, “I saw them be left behind by whom I assume to be their mother.”
“I see. The best case scenario would be to give them to the church and they find a family to take them in. Otherwise they'll just be raised by the Sisters.” Diluc replied with equal seriousness.
“Hmm, sounds like a plan then.” Venti smiled but it lacked the brightness from before.
Like Diluc suggested he headed to the Church of Favonius with you as soon as the weather cleared up. The towns people looked curiously and whispered amongst themselves about the peculiar sight as he passed them with you in his arms, he didn't pay them any mind. He looked down at you every once in a while to make a funny face that caused you to giggle loudly. He stopped in his tracks before heading up to the church and took a detour to stand in front of the statue of himself, or rather Barbatos. He turned side ways and angled you upwards so you could see the statue better, not that you would understand what he was trying to do.
“Would you like to know a secret?” He whispered even though no one else was around currently. He waited until you cooed in response to him.
“I'm the Anemo Archon - Barbatos! But this has to stay a secret between us.” He poked your squizzy cheek.
After a moment he finally made it all the way to the church's doors and inside. Music was echoing around the large cathedral while some Sisters were singing prayers in the name of the Anemo Archon. Not many people were around right now, but he had his eyes set on a Sister that was not taking part in the singing. With a wide grin boastered on his face he confidently marched up to her. She could see him approaching and was ready to ask him to leave or at the very least not disturb them, but was taken aback by the bundle in his arms.
“Hello, dear Sister! I'm in quite a predicament as I happen to be in possession of an orphan child.”
“Are you quite certain that the child is infact without parents?” The Sister finally asks after processing what he said.
“Yes. They were left all alone before a statue of the Anemo Archon himself.” He didn't need to share the full story...
The Sister would have doubted his story and accused him of being the child's father who just wished to abandon them, but a brief upon inspection it was evident you shared no resemblance to him at all. Even if he was the father and did not wish to have you they would have taken you in, better in their care than out on the streets! The fact you were left upon a statue of Barbatos was what truly picked her interest, your parent clearly offered you to the deity and as such they had no right to turn you away.
“I see! Then we will take the child into our care. Do they have a name you know of?”
You didn't - as far as he knew, but at that moment he glanced down at you once again. Gazing into your eyes and a name just slipped past his lips. He doubted you ever had a name, but this one felt just right for you. The Sister simply nodded before opening her arms to take you from him. He felt the urge of not wanting to let you go... But he needed to. You would have a good and happy life while raised by the Sisters. He could barely take care of himself and oike Diluc pointed out, could barely afford a singular apple. Your eyes continued to stare directly at him as you began crying when removed from his arms.
You hadn't cried the entire time since he picked you up from the ground, it was heartbreaking to hear you do so now. He felt like lyre strings had been wrapped around his heart and were squeezing it tighter the longer he heard you cry. The Sister turned away to take you further inside the church, while he headed outside. The weather was clear and the sun was shining warmly, but he felt like the storm was still raging on. He barely knew you for a day and already grew attached to you... Perhaps it was out of pity for seeing you get abandoned?
Whatever the case, it was not the last time he saw you. He became a frequent sight amongst the church goers! It was only to see you and only a couple times a week on average, but he was there none the less. Venti would even play his lyre for you or for the others attending, the Sisters forbade him from accepting payment for it within the church though. Visiting you became so frequent that Diluc got slightly worried after a week of not seeing him at the tavern - only to find out he was at the church playing peek-a-boo with you for the twelfth time this week... The Sisters didn't mind much as he was not causing trouble, you also became so calm and well behaved when he was around! It was strange that he of all made you this way, but no one was complaining.
He was there when you babbled your first words - he took you around town to showing you off to everyone he possibly could, even just a coo or a babble made him exited now as it could be another word! Maybe even his name next! He was so proud of you! He was also there when you took your first steps, he stood close ready to catch you at the first sight of you stumbling. He raised you high up and bounced around when you managed to finally wobble your way into his arms. He would have thrown you up and caught you, but the Sisters near him didn't approve of this. He would use his abilities to fly up with you in his arms when they weren't looking though, you were never afraid in his arms.
“Great job, little Windblume! Soon I'll be able to take you gliding!” He laughed - the Sisters did not.
He promised that he would teach you to glide as soon as you were old enough. For an Archon that was over two thousand years old he was rather impatient while waiting for you to grow up. He cherished every moment spent with you, of course. But he couldn't wait till he would be able to actually hang out with you and have conversations with you! You still had your whole life ahead of you and he would personally see that you had the best, happiest and most fulfilling life you possibly could! Meeting you was the best thing to happen to him, despite how terrible the situation initially was. You had just about turned his life around by being an unfortunate soul and babbling nonsense to him with those bright eyes looking at him with so much life and hope.

The Point of No Return: Barbatos x Fem reader
Summary: Diavolo decided that before your departure from Devildom he would get everyone together for a production of a human world musical. When the main cast member becomes sick you suddenly find yourself singing with your hidden lover
Warning: Suggestive actions/ lyrics, probably ooc Barbatos, use of the name Christine in certain parts cause that’s the character you play, fake violence towards you (he’s playing the Phantom who is pretty insane)
(A/N: OKAY PLEASE LISTEN!! I know this whole thing would fit more with Lucifer or basically anyone else. But Barbatos was who was in my mind when the idea happened so I’m sticking with it, he’s probably gonna be pretty ooc but I enjoy the idea of him letting out stuff he’s kept away in a way that makes people think it’s part of the show. So please don’t judge this too heavily, Also I took inspiration from watching different productions of this song. And I’m going by the lyrics I find they may not be what’s in certain productions but they should be I think. I hope you like it)
Tumblr media
This was different, far more different than rehearsals, when you did this scene with Lucifer you’re nerves weren’t jumping like they were right now. Sitting atop a chair you waiting for his entrance.
“Passarino- Go away for the trap please set and wait for it’s prey.” Barbatos’ voice filled the silence of the stage, and filled your head
You turn your head away from the audience and watch as he walks in with his black robes covering his whole body.
“You have come here. In pursuit of your deepest urge, in pursuit of that wish which till now has been silent.” He took a step closer as you stood up from the chair, watching his every movement
“Silent.” His voice hushed more
“I have brought you. That our passions may fuse and merge.”
He opened his arms wide and gestured to the surroundings, you stood your guard as rehearsed many times before.
“In your mind you’ve already succumbed to me, dropped all defences”
“Completely succumbed to me.”
He came up behind you and made the two of you face the audience, trailing his hands from your head down to your shoulders but keeping them just far enough away that he’s not touching your body directly.
“Now you are here with me. No second thoughts, you’ve decided.”
He leaned more towards you now, circling his arms around your waist and holding on tightly.
“Decided.”
He let go and began to walk a couple of circles around you, making you spin aswell as you followed his movements exactly.
“Past the point of no return, no backward glances. Our games of make believe are at an end.”
He drifted over to the opposite end of the table, beckoning you to follow him. Even if it wasn’t scripted you still would have followed him, yearning for his touch.
“Past all thoughts of “if” or “when”. No use resisting.” Barbatos sat on the wooden chair, opening his arms for you to sit atop his lap
“Abandon thought and let the dream descend.”
When you sat on his lap you faced the audience, remembering that you’re not alone and you’re supposed to be playing a character you stroked his covered cheek from behind you. He grasped your wrist and positioned you to look at the audience with a hand grasped around your throat.
“What raging FIRE shall flood the soul? What rich desire unlocks it’s door?”
He trails the hand on your throat higher to grasp your chin, forcing you to look at him.
“What sweet seduction lies before us?”
You can feel his gaze on you. Your other hand goes toward the one on your chin, holding it as lightly as possible.
“Past the point of no return. The final threshold. What warm unspoken secrets will we learn?” He turns you back to face the audience again, his voice sending chills down your spine
“Beyond the point of no return?” With that line you shot out of your spot on his lap, to the opposite end of the table like you’re supposed to
You stop and put a contemplating look on your face before turning back to him.
“You have brought me, to that moment when words run dry. To the moment when speech disappears into silence.”
You look at him with want that wasn’t faked, he showed the possessiveness he’s been holding back since rehearsals first began, so you’ll show him how much you craved to be near him in front of everyone.
“Silence.”
You did a quick turn back to face the audience, looking towards the wall at the back so you weren’t looking at anyone in the crowd.
“I have come hear, hardly knowing the reason why. In my mind I’ve already imagined our bodies entwining defenceless and silent.”
You trailed your hands up your wait locking them together at your breasts while tilting your head upwards seeing only the dark behind your closed eyelids.
“Now I am here with you, no second thoughts. I’ve decided.” You took slow sensual steps forwards, trying to talk to him through the lyrics of the song
“Decided.”
“Past the point of no return, no going back now. Our passion play has now at last begun.”
You now faced Barbatos across the table, your hands rubbing across the top of it as you laid your body on it.
“Past all thought of right or wrong. One final question.” With your eyes never leaving him you advanced slightly towards him, being just out of reach for the both of you to be with one another
“How long show we two wait before we’re one?” You turned onto your back on the cold surface, holding one hand over your heart while the other grasped at the skirt of your dress
“When will the blood begin to race, the sleeping bud burst into bloom. When will the flames at last CONSUME us?” While you spread your upper body across the table the sound of his chair hitting the stage filled the air as he grasped your wrists tightly before pulling you to him.
“Past the point of no return. The final threshold.” Barbatos held you right against him, one hand being led by one of yours atop your left breast while his other trailed your thigh, slightly going under the fabric of your dress
You hovered your open mouth along where he neck would be, resisting the temptation to kiss it. He squeezed your breast roughly while he trailed his hand higher in your thigh making you gasp against him.
“The bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn.” He turned you around so you were on your knees infront of him parting from your body.
It brought you back that the two of you weren’t alone, and you still had to play your roles.
“We’ve passed the point of no return.”
You threw down the hood, revealing Barbatos’ half masked face. You straighten your posture to act startled and shuffle a little bit back on the table, with a turned body you go to get off of the table like scripted but stop when the sound of his voice comes back.
“Say you’ll share with me one love, one life time. Lead me, save me from my solitude.” You turned back to him at the sound of the softness you heard. He gripped your waist gently as he continued
“Say you want me with you here, beside you.” His thumbs stroking your sides confirmed that he wasn’t just singing these lyrics
He was talking to you through them, you inhaled a bit at the realization as a tear slipped down your cheek. You stroked his face with your thumbs to show that you felt the same.
“Anywhere you go let me go too. Christine, that’s all I ask of-“
You pulled the mask off his face and watched as he showcased panic and anger before grabbing you and running offstage, ending the duet.
As soon as the two of you got backstage and out of sight from everyone he pulled you into a kiss. You ran your fingers through his hair and pulled him as close to you as possible, tears escaping down your face, his grip on your hips was so tight you knew to expect marks tomorrow.
The joy you felt that he let out how much he actually felt for you in front of everyone was almost overwhelming, he’d always been so focused on how your relationship would affect everyone that the two of you kept it hidden. Behind closed doors so much that you doubted he even had feelings for you sometimes.
But the way he’s holding you right now, the way his words spoke to you, it was all the affirmation that you needed right now. Pulling away from the kiss you leaned towards his ear and whispered to him.
“I love you too.”

Wind’s embrace (Angst One-shot)
Content: venti x y/n (gender neutral)  Warning: angst with no comfort, infidelity, mentions of alcohol. Note: This is my first time writing fanfiction, so any suggestions are more than welcome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As long as you could remember you’ve always found comfort in the wind. A gentle caress on the cheek, a cool salvation in the summer, and a warning bearer before the impending storm. It was your eternal companion, leaping with your heart as you gazed at your lover on that midsummer field. And just like the wind he sang to you. His bright voice relays sonnets of centuries lost, of prevailing myths, and eternal love. His love. So attuned to his words, you didn’t notice the melody growing scarce.
This evening was drenched in melancholy familiarity, no different from the night before. Sitting in the nest of pillows, you hungrily welcomed the warmth from the fireplace. Little ambers dancing by you to tear your attention from the book on your lap. It wasn’t a difficult endeavour, your mind had been elsewhere for some time now.
“Probably at Angel’s Share.” You pondered your lover’s whereabouts.
At the start of your relationship, you expressed to Venti that despite your companionship you would not take away his freedom. He wasn’t a stranger to travels and you were no stranger to lonely nights, but he always came back. At least he did.
It’s been 2 weeks since he vanished without a word, slipping from your shared bed into the night. Your anticipation had long melted to worry, and that worry to rage.
Your musing was interrupted by a creak from the window, cold air rushing in, aggravating the fire beside you.
“Ven?” You whispered.
“It’s me.” He replied after pausing for a second. “I’ve been gone for a while ehe, sorry about that y/n”
Countless thoughts raced through your head. ‘Where have you been?’, ‘Why didn’t you contact me?’, ‘Are you hurt?’. But they all came to a halt when you saw his eyes. His gorgeous, anguished eyes.
Stumbling over the pillows, you inched closer. “You’re sober. Who are you and what did you do to Venti?” You half jested. Seeking answers on his face while simultaneously attempting to lighten the mood. He didn’t move an inch. Avoiding your eyes like the plague.
The anguish that had built up was resurfacing anew. You clenched your jaw, taking longer strides to reach him. Before you could utter another question, he carefully spoke.
“Y/n I..I have a confession to make. Please believe me when I say that this isn’t your fault.”
Your mind went silent and so did the world.
“Do you remember, a few weeks ago, I went out to try the Angel’s Share new wine speciality? Well, let’s just say it was much stronger than I anticipated and….”
“Go on.” You urged, feeling your patience slipping out of your grasp.
“And I lost my sense of judgment, and uh, as a result…I ..broke your trust..”
No.
No no no.
Please no.
“Y/N I’m so sorry. Please, I didn’t mean to go with her, but I couldn’t think straight in my drunken state. She didn’t mean anything to me, I swear!” He started pleading, your silence only raising the urgency in his voice.
“It took you 2 weeks to tell me this..” You uttered to yourself.
“I didn’t know how to face you.” He stepped closer, trying to take your hand as you rejected all advancements.
“Why did you...But… I trusted you!” Tears began obscuring your vision. “Every time you left, I waited! I waited and trusted you and you did this?” You grimaced further, hating how your voice broke. “Did I do something wrong? Were you bored of me?” You didn’t relent, interrupting his rebuttals after a second of consideration. “Aren’t you a God? Do Gods even get drunk?”
His silence was all the answers you needed.
“Leave.” You stated.
“Y/N please, I can’t fix this, we can work through this, I’m truly sorry, I am! I-”
“Leave my home, and don’t come back” You stated louder, fearing that your resolve would crumble if he stayed a moment longer. And so, after a pause, he left. Leaving the living room window ajar as you saw him for the last time.
The wind has never felt so hollow before.

Once More to See You
Tumblr media
A/n: I still suck at endings :’( i’m half asleep and sick so this might not be that good!!
If you liked this please like and reblog <333
Tw: gn!reader(only reffered as you), possibly ooc, hurt with no comfort.
Tumblr media
Men whose reputations were everything to them. They had to keep up the pristine and perfect persona. They kept your relationship hidden from everyone. Shameful over daring to even converse with someone as lowly as you. Yet despite the harsh words, they enjoyed every second with you. To be seen with a standard human like you would surely damage his image.
One night the fear of ruining his reputation hits an all time peak, and he loses his cool. Yelling at you that you’re not worth losing anything for. That this all needs to end; that it’s been a waste of his time to be pursuing a useless relationship. When he finally cools down and you leave, will he realize what he’s just done. No matter what he sees or hears he tell himself that it was worth it. His reputation is no longer at stake and you can be happier not needing to pay pretend anymore.
They wish they could just leave everything behind and live a life with you two. No worries of work, reputation, or enemies. Maybe in the next lifetime. But in this lifetime they hope you’d forgive them somewhere down the line for leaving you.
As years go by and he gets older, the only hope he has is that one day you’ll be back so you’ll be able to grow old together. Every marriage proposal he turns down because he can only imagine spending his life with you. He thought his reputation was everything, now he realizes you were actually everything thing to him.

I couldn't stop thinking about this after reading your "Readjusting" hc
Imagine that the reason MC started acting like a "proper" attendant was because Barbatos couldn't stand how improper and casual Mc was with the brothers. He decides to take her under his wing but he isn't gentle about it, not even when it becomes clear that MC is human, on the contraire, he becomes harsher with his methods until even the brothers notice. Meanwhile MC could be in the state of mind to believe that they deserve to be treated in such ways because they feel guilty over letting everyone assume they were a demon
Also think about how this treatment would affect MC relationship with Barbatos. Imagine MC slipping up in front of him and immediately tensing and starting to apologize. How scared MC would be of even the thought of doing something NB!Barbatos though them was wrong and undignified of her to do/say as the brothers attendant.
And how heartbroken OM!Barbatos would be at seeing MC be so terrified of him.
so I’m currently deep diving thru my drafts and inbox and this was from forever ago so I’m so sorry I’m only getting it done now (,,Ծ‸Ծ,, )
anyway oh. my. god.
i absolutely love this idea! the angst potential this ask has is literally to die for. i’ll be incorporating a few of my readjusting ideas as well and yeah i know nightbringer didn’t go in this direction but im going in it anyway, so i hope yall enjoy! (๑>؂•̀๑)
you’re nothing more and nothing less
Tumblr media
You admired yourself in the mirror then stared at the reflection looking back at you.
Sighing you gave yourself a small smile, then remembered his words before giving yourself one last look in the mirror.
“You really do look decent when you know how to clean up.”
An attendant is supposed to look sharp, and presentable no matter the circumstance. They are a direct representation of who they’re serving. How was a noble demon supposed to take the seven rulers of hell seriously if their attendant didn’t even know how to properly dress or present themselves?
Your tie had to be perfectly crisp and presentable, same with the cuffs of your uniform; not a wrinkle should be present. Next, your preferred uniform bottom was ironed with no wrinkle in sight, and your shoes shined to the point you could see your reflection. Each plead and fold was sharp, crisp, and perfect.
Your hair looked presentable and you carried out your normal face routine making sure you looked awake and ready for the day. Finally, you organized your belongings and sat them by your table in a neat fashion ready to be grabbed once you headed off to RAD.
You then made your way to the kitchen and prepared breakfast for everyone as well as coffee and tea for those who usually required it.
As you were finishing up most of the food Beel walked into the kitchen heading straight for the fridge. “Morning MC,” he said catching his breath.
“Good Morning Beel, how was your run? Also, your snack is on the counter so please refrain from eating anything in the fridge,” you replied, as you continued cooking.
“Oh thank you.” he smiled while closing the fridge. As he sat at the counter watching you cook he couldn’t help but become confused at the sight. “Wasn’t it Levi’s turn to make breakfast this morning?”
“It was but he stayed up late last night, and I had a feeling he would oversleep so I took the liberty of making it myself. Not to worry though because I have nothing against cooking for all of you”
Beel frowned in response “Yeah but this is the third day in a row you’ve prepared breakfast and dinner”
“Is it now? Well I have no problems with it unless the rest of you do, I am your attendant after all.”
Beel stopped eating and frowned again, “MC you’re an exchange student from the human realm. You’re back home; there’s no reason for you to still act as our attendant.”
You didn’t respond, instead you finished up the food and began to plate each brothers breakfast. Beel tried to speak again but you cut him off.
“Apologies but could you do me a favor and wake up your brothers for breakfast? I wouldn’t want them to be late for classes.”
Beel gave you a sympathetic look and nodded just before leaving the kitchen.
You did stop to think about his words though. After all everything that happened in the past didn’t need to be continued in the present, you could go back to living how you normally did before.
The only problem was that you didn’t know how to go back to that carefree lifestyle. After being on edge constantly while being stuck in the past you found yourself adapting to that lifestyle. So breaking it all of a sudden was much harder than everyone understood.
Humans are adaptable creatures, they adapt and survive to whatever environment they are thrown into, no matter the circumstances; at least that’s how he explained it.
He drilled it into your head that if you wanted to survive against the best of the best you needed to be superior in every way. It didn’t matter to him if you were a demon or human, neither was an acceptable excuse for not being absolutely perfect.
This mindset had been engraved into your soul during the small time period you were there, so for everyone to just tell you to forget about it was something you couldn’t do even if you tried. They all needed to accept that this was how you were now; and maybe with due time you’ll revert back to your old self.
Numerous voices could be heard in the dining room causing you to snap out of your thoughts. You sighed and then took a deep breath before walking into the room with everyone’s plates.
“Good morning everyone, how’s are all of you?” You asked placing plates in front of each brother at the table.
“Mornin’ MC, I’m fine how are ya?” Mammon said yawning.
“I’m good thank you for asking, but I would be even better if you fixed your tie and shirt” you smiled, placing his food in front of him.
“Dah you sound like Lucifer…” he groaned. It did work however because he buttoned up his shirt and tightened his tie before eating, to which you smiled at him in response.
“That goes for all of you as well, fix your uniforms please.” you said, placing the last plate in Lucifer’s spot. Each groaned and fixed themselves as well before they began to eat.
A laugh was then heard from the doorway which made you look up in response. The oldest then greeted you with a kiss to the cheek before sitting down.
“I see your keeping them on a tighter leash than I am.” Lucifer said looked up at you.
“Well of course. How is anyone supposed to take the seven of you seriously when you don’t even wear the uniform properly.” The room fell silent and Lucifer raised an eyebrow. “Thank you MC, but you realize that you don’t have to worry about our images anymore. You know your home correct..? You don’t have to continue being our attendant.”
You sighed then spoke after a few minutes. “Thank you for your concern I appreciate it, but if you’ll excuse me I have to get the dishes clean”
“Wait you’re not having breakfast with us dear?” Asmo asked worried.
“You haven’t eaten with us at all since you came back. Come on MC, please?” Satan then said.
“I appreciate the concern but I already ate. Thank you for the offer though, I do appreciate it. Now if you’ll excuse me.”
“As their attendant you should not be eating with them unless permitted on a special occasion. It’s basic etiquette as a servant to eat in the kitchen. So you will eat when I eat. Understand?”
That phrase popped in you head again and you sighed heading towards the kitchen.
. . .
The walk to RAD was normal, for you at least, the brothers were a different story entirely.
They tried engaging with you or even walking next to you but you stayed silent and walked behind them.
Normally you’d walk at the same pace and would engage in any kind of small talk but ever since you returned walks to a from RAD had been awkward for the brothers.
Barbatos never walked next to Diavolo, and he taught you to do the same with the brothers.
“You aren’t from the same status, so you should take your place behind them as a result.”
That phrase played in your head as Mammon talked to you about his latest new scheme. You realized that he was walking at the same pace you were so you slowed down ever so slight and engaged in a bit of small talk with him.
The second born frowned as he saw you retreating again, so with a sigh he finished talking and walked a bit faster to catch up with the eldest.
You could see them shorting you glances and whispering to each other but neither said a word to you.
You understood they probably weren’t a fan of this behavior either, but it’s not as if you could break it anytime soon, after all what would he think if you were acting casual with everyone again?
. . .
“Good morning MC” Barbatos spoke, smiling as he slightly waved at you.
Upon seeing him your posture straightened up and you immediately greeted him back with a wave and a nod, in the same fashion he greeted you with. You held eye contact for a brief moment then looked over towards Lucifer.
“I believe we should head out now. There’s paperwork to be done. It was lovely running into you but we’ll be on our way now” you said to the butler.
Before he even had a chance to respond you grabbed Lucifer and dragged him through the hall leaving a confused Barbatos alone in the hallway.
Lucifer tried to question you about your behavior towards the butler but you always avoided talking about it.
Diavolo tried his hand as well and you had given him the same excuse you gave Lucifer. Sighing, the two decided to talk to you over tea instead, hoping that it might calm the mood.
So you followed Lucifer into the council room where Diavolo sat, waiting with a smile. The minute you saw him you smiled back, but soon tensed when Barbatos appeared behind him.
“Sit down MC” Diavolo gestured as soon as you reached the table.
You bowed slightly and did as you were told, making sure to keep yourself in line while Barbatos was present.
Barbatos from the past despised when you were casual with Lord Diavolo and shut down your relationship with him the second he took you as an apprentice.
As Diavolo began to speak you listened attentively and sat up straight making sure to hold eye contact just as Barbatos had instructed you to do before
“MC…” he started. “I understand that it's taken you awhile to try and readjust to everything again, and while we don’t want to pester your progress we do want to talk to you about a few things.”
Were you in trouble? Your heart sank to your stomach as you gripped your uniform bottoms under the table.
“What can I help you with then?” You asked.
“Well for starters you needn’t be so tense, we’re close after all! It’s okay to let loose around us” Diavolo smiled as he gestured towards Lucifer who nodded in response.
“I thank you for your concern, and I will try to relax as you asked” you then nodded.
Your formal response tugged at a frown on Diavolo’s face. “Thank you, now then let’s enjoy some tea.” he said, trying to quickly change the subject.
You froze on the spot as Barbatos brought out the cart of tea and a few snacks. Immediately you jumped up and helped him set the table, much to everyone’s surprise.
“MC, you can leave it to me.” Barbatos said after a moment.
“I understand” you nodded yet still continued picking up the tray of snacks and placing plates in front of Lucifer and Diavolo.
After you finished you stepped behind Barbatos, almost as if you were his shadow. With a sigh he turned to you and tried to ask you to sit back down but you refused.
So instead he tried to guide you to your seat and you stepped away from him in response, the further you took a step back the closer he took a step forward. It wasn’t until you hit the snack cart had you realized how close the two of you were.
However that was short lived as the dish holding the sugar fell off the cart and shattered on the floor the moment you hit it.
Your eyes went wide in horror and you fell to the floor to clean it up in an instant, muttering to yourself silently.
“MC, are you-“
“I’m so sorry, Lord Diavolo, I'll clean this up right away. Please forgive me” you said swiftly picking up the shattered glass and trying your best to clean everything.
“It’s okay, don’t worry it was an accident” Diavolo said as he got up to make sure you were okay.
You shook your head as you went back to cleaning. You were positive Barbatos was going to kill you, he made sure to let you know if you ever messed up in Lord Diavolo’s presence.
So when his figure loomed over you your body tensed with fear as you looked up at him. However his expression didn’t match what you assumed it would’ve been.
He looked concerned and bent down to inspect your hands, hoping there wasn’t any blood due to the shards of glass from the dish.
You immediately retracted your hand when you noticed a cut and Barbatos stiffened.
“I’ll clean this up right away, excuse me” you said as you jumped to your feet and ran out of the council room, leaving three very confused and concerned demons behind.
As the door flew open when you left Solomon walked in with a bewildered look as you rushed out. “What happened? Is everything okay?” He asked as his eyes followed your figure rushing down the hall.
“It’s MC,” Lucifer sighed.
“What about them?” Solomon questioned.
“Long story short they were helping Barbatos and dropped the sugar then bolted out of the room in a panic when Barbatos grabbed their hand to see if they were okay.” Diavolo said with a sigh.
“Ah, that explains things then.” Solomon nodded. “And Barbatos I would refrain from touching or even being near MC for the time being”
“And why is that?” Barbatos questioned with a frown.
“Because MC is probably still on edge after serving alongside you in the past. Let’s just say your methods weren’t exactly…ideal, for a human.” He sighed.
His heart broke upon hearing those words. Barbatos frowned upon learning he was the reason for their rigid behavior and unwillingness to open up to him or Lord Diavolo again.
“I understand,” he sighed.
“If we just talk to MC I’m sure they’ll understand-“ Diavolo started.
“You can, but they haven’t changed their behavior with the brothers so I doubt they change it now. I’ll talk to them when I see them again” Solomon sighed.
Lucifer made a sour expression upon hearing Solomon’s words, mainly because he knew they were true. After all he had spoken to MC countless times yet nothing has changed.
Solomon handed a few papers to Diavolo who read over them in surprise. “Cocytus Hall? That place hasn’t been used in ages, and you wish to move in there?”
“Yes, well Mc and I.” He nodded. “All the paperwork should be there if you’ll allow it”
Lucifer shot the sorcerer a glare and shook his head. “Is that really necessary? That’s quite the opposite of having MC adapt back to the present”
“On the contrary I didn’t suggest this. They did, and if it's what they want I don’t mind indulging my sweet apprentice” He smiled.
The three frowned at Solomon’s words. No matter how annoyed he made them, they all agreed that he was the only one you talked to like normal.
It wasn’t fair that he was the only one that got that attention from you. After a few more minutes of going back and forth Diavolo finally approved the idea, much to Lucifer’s protests.
It was just a thought but Diavolo hoped that if he did this you would eventually come back to them, and not the you that was terrified and uptight, he missed the carefree human who could brighten up the room.
With a sigh the room fell silent as Solomon left, all three demons were running out of ideas and the longer you avoided them the more painful it had become.
How long were they supposed to stay like this? They all wondered with tense sighs.

AaAaaaHHHHHH I loved your “Things that the citizens of the Devildom witnessed that will prove that this Human have the characters at their beck and call” post lol :P
Could you plssssss do it w the side characters? Especially barbatos I love him. He’s my bbg lol
Sure, I'm actually just waiting for someone to request it :P

Tumblr media
Things that the citizens of the Devildom witnessed that will prove that this Human have the characters at their beck and call
Versions: Demon Brothers, Side Characters
Warnings: Slight yandere themes (Barbatos, Simeon)
Links: Masterlist
--------------------------------------------------
DIAVOLO
He doesn't actually like going around
Sure, it's mentioned a lot of times that he want to visit this or that
But only if you or the others are willing to come with him
Otherwise it's as boring as doing paperworks
He won't even come out to meet important personalities
They need to come to the castle themselves because there's no damn way Diavolo will actually use effort to meet people he's actually not too close to.
But when it's you?
Damn, you better bet the moment you told him "Hey, Diavolo... I'm kind of stuck in the plaza and the brothers are surely too busy to pick me up so can you send me a driver..?"
How dare you ask for a driver?
When he's literally right there?
The moment the words "I'm kind of stuck in the plaza-" He's already in his most luxurious car starting it to get his future spouse
Hell, he'll even bought a flower before getting to you
And you two will make a scene
And you two will surely make it to the news tomorrow
He'll arrive to the place in something quite formal yet still casual
With a bouquet of flowers in his hands
Like the perfect future husband he is
And open the door for you to get in
And if you're asking why Barbados didn't do anything against him...
Well, he's got a few mouse friends there for help.
Anyways, enjoy the ride
And sign the marriage papers
Please
BARBATOS
His power holds such an important role for Diavolo
He's such a powerful "demon"
It would actually be quite nice if you were just a little more closer to him
But if you are...
He's willing to use this oh so important power for you like it's just a mere toy
You fell on the stairs and someone saw it? Reversed.
You failed a test? Reversed.
You made the wrong decision? Reversed.
If Diavolo actually saw how much he's rambling the time lines just for you he'll go insane.
Hell, he'll pass out when he knows that Barbatos is letting you use his power like he's some hourglass!
But Barbatos knows you
And he likes you
He knows that someone like you won't actually take advantage of his power like that
And would always choose to do things without it
He knows that he's your last resort
And he loves it
He loves that fact that you treasure his power so much
That you treasure him so much...
His power might seem to be the most important tool for you among the other abilities the brothers and the others gave you
And so that basically puts him above the food chain
And he'll stay there
He'll make sure you will view him as important as right now
For all internity
SIMEON
He treasures himself and the people around him so much
But mostly himself
Because that's what father told them to do
He treat his body like the temple of god
He'll walk around the Devildom with pride in himself
Not too much but not too less
He knows his worth
So when he met you
Such a wonderful human
He will also teach you how to put pride in yourself
And always be proud on what you're doing
And then he'll start to get drawn to you
The body he oh so treasured now treated like a toy for you
He once valued naturality but maybe using this makeup you love so much will make him appear more attractive?
"Oh, Simeon? Did you use some foundation and mascara?! That looks so good on you!"
Yes, MC.
Just look at him
It all started with dressing up more for you
Then it escalated
The body he once didn't let anyone touch is now open for you
Just for you
Hold his hand
Grab his waist
And use his shoulders
Ha...
God won't punish him for a little touch now would he..?
SOLOMON
He's shady and he knows it
It's been so long and he's been around may too many people
He doesn't know who to trust anymore
And who to be honest with
He always have to keep himself alarmed and ready
Because that's what the past taught him to do
And that's what the present is telling him to do
Oh, another human?
How nice...
He just hope you don't end up like him
Overly conscious
You know what... He'll help you
He doesn't want a human to fall to the same hole he is right now
He thought that he'll be the one to guide you
He didn't know that you'll guide him...
And now he's willing to do anything for you
He's willing to follow you anywhere
He's willing to give you anything
He's willing to be your loyal servant
Just like Barbatos, he's willing to use everything he have just keep you by his side
Whether it be human, demon, angel connections, money or power
It can be anything and he'll give it you
To the human who showed him the light once again.
MEPHISTOPHELES
He's a private person
That's why he has a whole ass room reserved just for him in the academy
It can't help but have his blood boiling whenever one of the brothers barging into his room unannounced
The sense of nervousness won't leave him whenever Diavolo came to visit him
And the mixed feelings when the other exchange students decided to drop by
But when you enter his room
The light started to get a little darker
And the atmosphere turned into something heavier yet more comforting feeling
Have you drank anything you're not supposed to drink human?
What's this atmosphere around you human?
Did you... Cast a spell on him human?
To be honest
It'll be better for him to know that you cast a love spell on him
Than for him to consciously know that he's falling for you
Falling for the human others already love
But he can't help but say "Why don't you stay a little longer, MC?" Whenever you drop by.
"You can stay and do your assignments or whatever here. I have a vast collection of books you might need."
It might be selfish but why don't you stay a little longer?
Stay inside this private room with him
And only him.
RAPHAEL
He's known as a hitman
And his job down here is to probably spy on Simeon or Lucifer
But this weird human caught his eyes...
Maybe he should spy on you too?
Hmm... Why are you so different?
Are you the premium version of human?
But either way...
He saw how tired you were after each day ends
It looks like this place have sucked any living hope and energy out of you
So he took this as a problem and decided to come up with a solution
He decided to help you run around errands and even take some of your work loads
Gosh... You're so busy
So tiring
Sometimes you two will just find yourself in the dark and unused alley of the school
Sitting on the floor with each others head on your shoulder
You'd mutter "So tired..." And he will pat your head to help you at least have a few minutes of nap between work.
And before he knows it
It became a habit for the two of you
Instead of going to the dark alley you decided to take some nap in the cafeteria and even on empty classrooms
The Brothers will not found you two scattered all over the academy sleeping on each other
And before he even noticed
Whenever the slightest danger occurs he's already jumping in front of you and pushing you back as he shield your fragile body
THIRTEEN
She's such a trouble maker
And you're an expert in keeping trouble makers in line
And Thirteen will make sure she don't follow that line!
She keeps on pulling pranks
Traps here
Traps there
Gosh will she ever stop
Then one day you got so busy that your usual scolding for her didn't happened
Not even once
She felt empty without your nagging voice I guess?
But that doesn't matter!
At least, now, no one will stop her from doing what she loves!
No one...
Will stop her?
But who will scold her when she's about to do an extremely dangerous prank where she might get hurt?
Who will treat her wounds when she accidentally scratched her with one of her schemes?
It's been just a few days without your nagging voice and she's already at your doorstep in the middle of a night on a weekend asking
"Are you ignoring me?"
"Why aren't you talking to me anymore?"
"Are you tired of me now..?"
It feels like she'll start crying if she says anything more so you just denied everything and said that your schedule have been fully packed
Even saying that you're a new member of the council so you became more busy
She felt so embarrassed after that
But she started to treasure your relationship more
And maybe...
Waiting in the line is not that big of a deal if it's for you...

Obsessed with the implications of poly!MC falling under a sleeping curse. Antidote, of course, being true love's kiss.
And true love exists in every type of relationship (look at Maleficent and her motherly kiss to Aurora), but I think the brothers and/or the rest of the cast would only see it as romantic.
All of them want to be the first to kiss MC, so sure of being their one true love, but since they all love them with such a deep force, it wouldn't matter who's the one kissing them, MC would still wake up. It's true love.
Now, I think the one to actually give the first and, consequently, only kiss, would be either Lucifer or Diavolo. It depends on how big the poly relationship is. If poly!MC is dating everyone, like the bad bitch they are, Diavolo would for sure take advantage of his position as future ruler. However, if it's only the brothers, Lucifer would use the privilege of being the oldest.
Mammon could be the first if he cheats and kisses them before anyone notices. "The Great Mammon, your first" and all that.
What are the implications, you may ask? Well, just imagine. Imagine the heartbreak of sharing the love of your life with your family, your best friend, your master or servant, only for your lover not to reciprocate your deepest feeling.
MC may love them, but they're not MC's one true love; at least, according to the sleeping curse.
How much would Satan or Belphie hate their older brother? How much would Levi hate himself? Would Diavolo and Lucifer's friendship suffer? At what extent?
And how fucking funny would it be to have Luke kissing MC's forehead, that kiss being the one that wakes them up?

summary: the obey me datables & luke react to mc coming back to life!
tags: obey me datables (simeon, solomon, diavolo, barbatos) x gn!reader, luke & gn!reader, hurt/comfort, implied character death, mentions of violence in solomon's parts, solomon goes a little crazy teehee
Tumblr media
i. simeon
he sees you there, in the celestial realm. he had known your soul was pure from the very beginning, but seeing you among the angels was like a knife to his gut, a reminder of his failures to protect you.
you weren’t supposed to be here, not now, at least. it was far too early for you to die. simeon can’t help but feel bitterness well up within him as you turn from michael to look for someone in the crowd (he knew it was him. he hoped it was him).
your features light up – simeon feels his heart skip a beat. even now you were just as he last remembered you, he had always taken the time to visit you in the devildom, even after his internship was over. you more beautiful than any angel he had ever seen.
you embrace him tight, and the tighter you squeeze the more he feels like he can’t breathe, the combating feelings waging a war in his mind. he should’ve been watching over you; what kind of guardian angel was he to let his human die like this?
“i’m sorry,” he doesn’t know why his voice cracks when he says it. simeon? losing his composure? he had garnered many millennia of years of experience working to keep it up. “i’m sorry i didn’t protect you.”
“it’s okay simeon,” he feels your hands squeeze the back of his cloak. a wicked thought crosses his mind; maybe if you dug your nails in harder he would have some penance for his failures. if you cut through the bone and marrow and reached his heart then maybe his father would forgive him – maybe you would forgive him for his short-comings. “i’m here now.”
“right,” he breathes you in as if to convince himself. simeon feels the strength of his bond with you overwhelm him, he can feel how much you care for him and he feels his chest fill with warmth, chasing away his guilt, if for the moment. “you’re here forever. with me. nothing can hurt you here, i promise.”
ii. luke
luke had always told you to be mindful of demons, that they were evil creatures who would take any opportunity to kill you. it had seemed that his warning had proved true in the worst way. if only he hadn’t been a cherub; if uriel had promoted him to be your guardian angel like he had asked, maybe this could’ve been avoided.
but he was overwhelmed with how happy he was at the fact that you would be spending time with him forever in the celestial realm. he had wanted nothing more ever since you had become friends in the devildom. you were the one light for him in the exchange program.
“you’re here!” luke chirps, sprinting down the golden bricks of the road to the archangels’ house. “you’re really–!” you’re suddenly enveloped in a hug as luke wraps himself around your waist.
“hello luke!” you smile from ear to ear, ruffling up his neat hair. usually, he’d make a comment about you not treating him like a child, but for now it seems he’s too busy nuzzling into you. “it’s good to see you again.”
“yes! i’m happy to see you,” he pulls away, cheeks visibly flushed. “i’m sorry that i wasn’t there to protect you from those mean old demons but… everything will be fine now that you’re here!”
“would you like to give them a tour of the celestial realm?” michael chimes in with a smile, the younger angel’s eyes lighting up like a christmas tree.
luke nods excitedly, taking your hand in his, already tugging you out of the estate: “we have so much to do! we can’t waste any time!”
iii. solomon
solomon spirals hard.
there was a reason solomon pushed everyone away, why most people in his life were kept an arms length apart. he got too attached to things; to power, to magic, to anything that gave him that needed adrenaline rush… why would you be any different? you, the only person he has ever loved had been snatched out of his hands.
and worst of all, he had been powerless to save you.
all the magic and demon pacts and connections in the world couldn’t stop you from bleeding out in his arms. humans like you were much too fragile for his liking; he had worked tirelessly his whole life to be anything but.
if he couldn’t get what he wanted from the damned, he would have to turn his eyes to the celestial realm. if he had to tear down the heavens and bring you crashing back down to earth, he’s sure he would.
making bonds with angels was much more difficult than that of demons, but he found after nights of endless research that plucking a few of their feathers would get them to sing.
he’s covered in golden ichor when he manages to bring you back – a life for a life. he finally was able to do it, not only to bring a human back to life, but to bring you back. solomon rises, shakily, as you feel your body materialize out of the magic sigil etched into the floor. he smiles gently, looking at you as if you were the only thing that mattered.
so why do you look back at him with such horror?
iv. diavolo
he had bargained with the archangels before, but never for a life.
in all accounts, a human choosing to leave the celestial realm and go to the devildom was unheard of. being cast out of heaven was notoriously the worst punishment anyone could receive.
but you do, you would always choose him over all the luxuries and beauty of the heavens every single time. it was true that love made people do stupid things.
michael sends you back to the devildom months after diavolo’s terms were set, a gift with the price of owing the ruler of the celestial realm a favor. michael was known for his kindness, but diavolo knew that there was more to him than that. he was smart enough to know that michael would never jeopardize the devildom, but angels never forgot debts owed. it was a risk, but one diavolo had no choice but to take.
above all the benevolence and good-will he draped himself in, at his core, he was a selfish demon; perhaps moreso than anyone else in the devildom.
he holds you against his chest the whole night. in the morning, he’d have duties and meetings to go to. but for now, you were his.
“little one,” he mumbles into your hair, hands tight around your waist, “make a pact with me. that you may be at my side forevermore.”
v. barbatos
in so many other timelines he sees you, shining, alive. he starts to resent the other versions of himself for being happy with you (or even worse, happy with any of the others). barbatos could pull you out as easily as he could breathe; he had a mastery over his powers that other lower demons could only imagine.
but it wouldn’t be the same, he reminds himself, it wouldn’t be his version of you.
he knew the way to get you back, it’d be to break his own rule: do not interact with the past. diavolo had given him permission to bring you back, it would be a stain on the exchange student program if one of the humans came back dead after the second semester. but he wasn’t so sure, what if the you he brought back wasn’t the you he remembered?
barbatos does it anyways, knowing he can’t refuse an order from his lord. the you in the celestial realm will be erased from existence replaced with the you of the past, the one who doesn’t know what it’s like to die. the two can only hope it doesn’t cause drama in the celestial realm.
“barbatos?” you question as you walk in the gardens with him, completely oblivious to it all. if he hadn’t been so happy that you had returned, he would feel guilty for not telling you of your death. sometimes, ignorance was bliss. “are you okay? you seem more quiet than usual.”
“do i?” he muses, forcing a soft smile for you. “i’m afraid i’m simply just a bit tired. sleep evaded me last night.” the last part wasn’t a lie.
“sorry to hear that,” you pout, “if you want to go nap, you should!
“do you not wish to spend time with me?”
“it’s not that…” you kick at the ground, arms crossed behind your back. “it’s just we have all the time in the world though, right? i want you to be rested when we’re together.”
he feels as if you’ve struck him with an arrow to his chest. barbatos sees your lifeless body in his mind, did you know and were trying to taunt him? or were you simply just this sweet?
“i suppose you’re right.” he nods his head, “but you’re coming with me.”

Diavolo
As he neared the royal library, he heard a beautiful melody flowing through the crack of the door. Seeing as how no one usually used that room, his curiosity was piqued by what it could have been. Entering, he’s greeted by you jumping around the room in excitement, a big dumb grin on your face. He looks on in genuine interest and wonder, curious as to whether this was just you being you or if you were under some sort of possession—the lateral being highly unlikely but still on the table. You quickly explain to him how you had just finished a chapter from a book you had been reading. He finds this information amusing, listening attentively as you talk about every detail of what you have just read. Not long after, he asks Barbatos to create a small space in the corner of his office for you to read for as long as you please. Whenever Diavolo had to stay a bit later in RAD, you’d wait comfortably by your little space as he worked. Hearing your giggles gives him a sense of tranquility in the midst of all the stress, the sound giving him even more motivation to finish and spend time with you.
In the off chance that he’s free, he reads a copy of the book you had been reading. He ultimately decided to add it to the RAD curriculum, giving the excuse that it’s a part of “Human History”. If he wants to achieve a good relationship with all the realms, then they should start implementing the three realms into their literature, no?
Tumblr media
Barbatos
He knows everything about you, so don’t even try to bother hiding your little habit from him. Like Solomon, he finds it fascinating and doesn't really mind it, now curious as to what other things might entail such a reaction out of you. In his free time, he tries to join you, with your permission of course and sits while he listens to you narrate the story. Sadly, with such a busy schedule he’s unable to stay for too long even if he wished to.
He’d typically leave little treats and some tea for you to enjoy while reading. He uses this as an excuse to catch even a few seconds of you being lost in a story, staying a bit longer by the door before making his presence known. On especially busy days, he'd plan his routes to pass by wherever you're staying just to catch a glimpse of your blushing face.

Pick-a-fic prompt:
Newly arrived MC being unable to deal with the Brothers to the point of debating leaving the exchange program and thus running to the relative peace of the castle to step back and reflect (focus on the Royals)
OR
Newly arrived MC being unable to deal with the Brothers to the point of debating leaving the exchange program and thus running to the relative peace of the castle, but the brothers find MC’s diary where their doubts are written as plain as day (focus on the Brothers)
Sorry this took so long to get to, I've just been so busy working, prepping stuff for moving, and I got absorbed in the fic I am working on. I chose the second one and ended up giving it more angst. I hope this is what you were asking for. Enjoy :)

Failure
MC had never felt so small.
From the moment they arrived in the Devildom, they were an outsider—human, fragile, and completely out of place. The brothers tolerated their presence, but only just. Every day was a new challenge, a struggle to keep their head above water in a world so different from their own.
Mammon, their first pact and appointed guardian, never missed an opportunity to remind them of how much of a burden they were. "Oi, don’t just stand there lookin’ useless. If you’re gonna stick around, at least do somethin’ useful, huh?" He’d toss those words at them with a grin, almost like it was a joke, but the sting was real. His careless remarks hit hard, especially when MC was already trying to find their place in this strange world. Mammon didn’t see the damage; to him, they were just another chore to deal with, something that got in the way of his schemes.
Leviathan wasn’t much better. Whenever MC tried to interact with him, they were met with his judgmental stare, as though they were trespassing. "What’s a normie like you doing here? Don’t you have somewhere else to be?" His voice was laced with annoyance, making them feel like some bizarre creature that had wandered into his private world. He kept his distance, never giving MC a chance to show they could connect with him, too. His obsession with his fictional worlds only made them feel even more like an outsider, as though they’d never understand or be worthy of stepping into his life.
Satan? Satan barely acknowledged their existence. If he ever looked up from his books, it was with frustration, as if MC’s very presence disrupted his thoughts. "Can’t you see I’m busy?" he’d say, his voice cold and dismissive. He wasn’t cruel, but his indifference hurt just as much. It was like MC was invisible unless they somehow got in his way.
And Asmodeus—Asmo treated MC like an accessory, something to admire for a moment and then discard when something more interesting caught his eye. "Darling, if you're going to wear something that dull, I really can’t be seen with you." His words were often accompanied by a smile, but the superficiality behind them was clear. He made them feel like an object, like their only worth was tied to their appearance. Even worse, Asmo never seemed to consider how his constant fixation on perfection weighed on MC, making them question their own worth more and more each day.
Beelzebub? He rarely acknowledged MC at all. His focus was always on food, and even when he did notice them, it wasn’t in a way that made them feel seen. "You smell different. Wonder if you’d taste good," he’d say offhandedly, as if it was just a passing thought. He didn’t mean any harm, but hearing those words was unsettling. It made them feel even less like a person and more like some temporary guest who didn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.
But Lucifer… Lucifer was the hardest to bear. His demands for perfection pressed down on MC like an unbearable weight. He expected them to adapt instantly, to know things they couldn’t possibly know, and when they inevitably made mistakes, the look of disdain in his eyes was enough to crush them. "I need you to be better," he’d say, his voice calm but sharp. MC could never shake the feeling that they were constantly being judged, constantly falling short of his expectations. His false sense of care grated on them the most—he acted like he was guiding them, but to MC, it felt more like control.
Everything was so new, so overwhelming, and no one seemed to care that they were struggling. They couldn’t keep up, and instead of offering help, the brothers’ habits and personalities only deepened their isolation. The teasing, the judgment, the indifference—it was all too much.
So, they ran.
It wasn’t a dramatic escape. They didn’t even pack their bags. They simply left one night, slipping out of the House of Lamentation and making their way to Diavolo’s castle. If anywhere in the Devildom could offer peace, it was there. Leaving behind their diary, a collection of their thoughts, hopes, and fears. They didn’t expect anyone to find it. Writing had been their only outlet, the only way to cope with the growing weight of their struggles.
At first, the brothers didn’t notice their absence. Days passed, and the empty seat at the table went unremarked upon. Only when the small disruptions became too obvious did Mammon speak up.
"Oi, where’s the human? It ain’t like ‘em to just disappear without a word," he grumbled. But even then, his tone was more annoyed than concerned.
Lucifers sharp gaze swept the hallways, his mind turning over the details of MC’s sudden absence. He’d been busy—too busy, really. Between managing his brothers and fulfilling his duties, MC had slipped from his radar, and now… now he realized he hadn’t checked in on them in days.
It wasn’t until Satan, searching for a book, came across MC’s diary tucked away in a corner of their room that the truth was revealed.
Satan made his way to the eldests office, frowning as he thumbed through the pages. "Lucifer, you should see this."
Lucifer took the diary, reading in silence as his eyes traced the words MC had written. The others were called, and soon they all knew what MC had been feeling.
The entries were raw, filled with MC’s doubts and pain. Each brother’s name was scrawled across the pages, followed by confessions of how their words and actions had hurt.
“Mammon makes me feel like I’m nothing but a burden. Every time he calls me useless, it’s like he’s confirming something I’ve already been afraid of. I’m just in the way here.”
“Levi never sees me as more than a ‘normie.’ It’s like I’m some strange animal in his eyes, something he doesn’t want to understand. He shuts me out every time I try to get closer.”
“Satan barely notices I exist. And when he does, it’s always with that look… like I’m a problem he doesn’t want to deal with. I guess I am a problem.”
“Asmo’s always commenting on how I look. I know it’s not personal, but it feels like all I am to him is an object. A pretty thing to dress up, but never good enough to really matter.”
“Beel doesn’t seem to care one way or another. He’s so focused on his hunger that I don’t think he even notices when I’m around. When he does, it’s just another reminder that I don’t really belong here.”
“Lucifer… I don’t know how to describe it. He expects so much from me. Too much. He looks at me like I’m failing him, like I’m not worth the time it takes to help. His care feels false. I can’t keep up with his demands, and I don’t think he even realizes how much I’m struggling just to stay afloat.”
And then came the final entry.
“I don’t think I can do this anymore. Everything is too much. The brothers… they don’t care about me. I’m just another responsibility to them, one they didn’t ask for. I’m seriously thinking about leaving the exchange program. Maybe I should. Maybe I’m not strong enough for this.”
The brothers were silent and exchanged glances, the weight of the words sinking in. They just hadn’t realized how much their habits, their personalities, had affected MC. Mammon’s constant jabs, Levi’s distant hostility, Asmo’s superficial comments, Satan’s cold indifference, Beel’s lack of attention… all of it had chipped away at MC’s sense of self, until they felt like they didn’t matter.
Lucifer closed the diary, his jaw tight. "I didn’t know they felt this way," he said, his voice low.
Mammon shifted uncomfortably. "I didn’t mean it like that. I thought we were just messin’ around."
Levi rubbed the back of his neck. "I didn’t think they cared what I thought. I mean, I barely even know them."
Satan’s frown deepened. "We’ve all been too focused on ourselves."
Asmo’s eyes were wide with guilt. "I didn’t realize… I just thought they were shy. Or adjusting." He looked down, his usual confidence gone.
Beel said nothing, his expression a mix of regret and confusion. He hadn’t even noticed how much MC had been struggling, too wrapped up in his own needs to see theirs.
"We need to bring them back," Lucifer said finally, his voice firm.
At the castle, the brothers had expected to find MC sulking, perhaps still angry or hurt. They had come, armed with apologies and, for once, a united front. Lucifer led them, the weight of the diary heavy in his hands. It felt strange, unsettling even, to think they had been so blind to MC's struggles. They had planned to convince MC to stay, to promise things would be different this time.
But when they arrived, the castle was eerily quiet. Barbatos greeted them at the entrance, his face impassive, but his eyes held a hint of something… regretful.
"Where is MC?" Lucifer asked, his voice tight.
Barbatos looked at the group for a moment before lowering his gaze. "You’re too late."
"What'dya mean, 'too late?'" Mammon blurted, stepping forward, his usual confidence replaced with a flicker of panic.
Barbatos sighed softly, his tone unusually firm. "MC has already returned to the human world. They made the request to Lord Diavolo, and it has been granted."
The weight of his words sank in, and the brothers stood in stunned silence. Lucifer, for once, had no immediate response. Mammon’s shoulders slumped, and Levi's hands fidgeted nervously at his sides. Asmo’s mouth opened as if to say something, but no words came out, while Beel’s expression darkened in quiet contemplation. Satan clenched his fists, the anger rising, though not directed at anyone but themselves.
"Why?" Levi muttered, more to himself than to anyone else.
"Because," Diavolo’s voice echoed through the hall as he approached them, his expression serious, "they didn’t believe things would change. MC had been struggling for some time, and none of you noticed. They felt abandoned. They were overwhelmed, and by the time you realized, it was already too late."
The silence was suffocating as the future King of the Devildom regarded them with a mixture of disappointment and anger.
"You failed," Diavolo’s voice echoed through the room, each word a sharp blade. "You were given one task—one simple requirement as part of this exchange program. To make MC feel welcome. To make them feel as if they belonged. To get to know them and have them know you in return. To foster understanding."
The brothers stood in a line, shoulders hunched, guilt pressing down on them like a heavy weight. None of them dared to speak.
Diavolo’s gaze shifted to Lucifer, his disappointment palpable. "And you," he said, his voice soft but laced with reprimand, "I expected better of you."
Lucifer flinched at the words. His usual mask of calm confidence shattered under the weight of Diavolo’s gaze. For a moment, he felt utterly powerless, a sensation he had long fought to suppress.
"You let this happen under your watch. You let MC suffer to the point where they felt they had no choice but to leave the Devildom behind entirely." Diavolo’s words were like a hammer, each one driving the guilt deeper. "You let them slip through your fingers."
Mammon, Levi, Asmo, Beel, and Satan could do nothing but hang their heads in shame, their usual bickering and antics gone, replaced by the crushing realization of how badly they had failed. This wasn’t just about MC’s disappearance—it was about everything they had overlooked, every word they hadn’t said, every opportunity to make things right that they had ignored.
Diavolo took a breath, his tone softening slightly but still firm. "You were supposed to protect them. Instead, you pushed them away."
The silence was heavy, unbearable. None of them could meet Diavolo’s gaze.
"You will return to the House of Lamentation and reflect on what has happened here today," Diavolo said, his voice a final command. "I hope, for all our sakes, that this failure teaches you something."
With those parting words, Diavolo turned his back to them, and the brothers were left with nothing but the weight of their failure pressing down on their shoulders.
They sulked back to the House of Lamentation, each one lost in their own thoughts, their usual banter replaced with a somber silence. They had been too late. MC was gone.
Lucifer
Lucifer sat in his study, the heavy silence of the House of Lamentation pressing down on him. The others had retreated to their rooms, each of them nursing their own guilt, but Lucifer remained still, staring at the open diary on his desk. MC’s words were a stark reminder of his failure—his failure to see, his failure to act, his failure to protect. The very thing he prided himself on—his ability to maintain control, to ensure perfection in everything under his watch—had crumbled in the worst possible way.
Failure.
The word echoed in his mind, gnawing at him like a relentless force. Lucifer's hands clenched into fists, his knuckles turning white as his anger rose, burning in his chest. How could he have allowed this to happen? How could he, of all people, have been so blind? He had always maintained order, ensured everything ran smoothly. He had taken on every responsibility, every burden, to prevent things from falling apart. But this...this was a disaster.
It was intolerable.
The weight of Diavolo’s words still hung heavy in the air: I expected better of you. The sting of those words cut deeper than any reprimand he had ever received. Diavolo had placed his trust in him, and he had let him down. Worse, he had let MC down—an innocent, fragile human who had come to the Devildom trusting they would be safe, that they would find a place here.
Lucifer stood abruptly, shoving his chair back with a force that sent it crashing against the wall. His usually composed demeanor shattered as the rage he had been holding back erupted. He slammed his fists down onto the desk, the sound echoing through the room. Papers scattered, and the sharp crack of wood under pressure reverberated through the air.
How had he missed it? How had he, with all his precision and attention to detail, been so oblivious to MC’s suffering? His grip on control, his obsession with perfection, had blinded him to what was truly important. He had been so focused on maintaining order, on keeping his brothers in line, that he hadn’t even noticed the cracks forming right in front of him.
And now, it was too late.
MC was gone—back to the human world. They hadn’t even waited to see if things would change, if the brothers would make things right. They had made their decision, and it was a resounding statement of just how much Lucifer had failed them.
His chest tightened with frustration. He had been so focused on pushing MC to adapt, to fit the mold he thought they needed to fill, that he had ignored the reality of their struggles. He had looked at them through a lens of expectation rather than understanding, and now they were lost to him. To them all.
Lucifer closed his eyes, taking a deep breath, trying to reign in the storm of anger and guilt coursing through him. This failure—the bitter taste of it—was unacceptable. He couldn’t undo what had been done. He couldn’t change the fact that he had let Diavolo down, that he had let MC down.
But he could make sure it never happened again.
Slowly, Lucifer opened his eyes, the flames of anger still burning but now tempered by a cold resolve. He would not allow this to break him. He would not allow this failure to define him. He had to remain strong—not just for himself, but for Diavolo, for the Devildom, and for his brothers.
But deep down, the rage simmered, a constant reminder of his imperfection, his weakness. He had been shown the one thing he hated most: his own limits.
Failure.
It was something Lucifer would never forget. And never forgive. Not himself, and not the others.
Mammon
Mammon sat on the edge of his bed, hunched over with his elbows on his knees, his hands tangled in his hair. The silence in the House of Lamentation was deafening, pressing down on him in a way that made his chest feel tight. MC was gone—back to the human world. They hadn’t even said goodbye.
His first instinct had been to brush it off, like he always did. Make some flippant comment about how MC would be back soon enough, that they just needed a little time to cool off. But as the hours passed and reality settled in, the truth was undeniable.
MC wasn’t coming back.
"Dammit..." Mammon muttered under his breath, his fingers tightening around his hair as if that could stop the thoughts running wild in his head.
He replayed the last few weeks in his mind—the constant teasing, the jabs, the way he’d brush off their efforts with a casual, "Oi, don’t be so useless." He never meant it. Not really. It was just how he talked, right? But now… Now, he couldn’t stop thinking about how it must’ve sounded to them.
How it must’ve felt.
He always thought MC knew he didn’t mean anything by it. They were just words, stupid little insults thrown out without thinking. It wasn’t like he actually thought they were useless. Hell, he was actually starting to like them—though he’d never admit it out loud.
Mammon groaned, flopping back onto his bed and staring up at the ceiling. Why did he always do this? Why did he push away the people he cared about, acting like they were some kind of nuisance when they weren’t? It was just… easier that way. It was easier to hide behind the tough guy act, to pretend like nothing bothered him. But it wasn’t true. It had never been true.
And now it was too late.
"I didn’t mean it," he whispered, his voice breaking in the quiet room. "I didn’t mean any of it..."
But what good did that do now? They were gone. MC was gone, and it was his fault.
Mammon’s heart clenched as he thought about all the times he’d made fun of them, all the times he’d called them a burden, a hassle. He’d acted like MC was just some human getting in the way of his plans, but the truth was that they had become more important to him than he’d realized.
He didn’t show it—he didn’t know how—but they mattered to him. They made him feel different, like he wasn’t just the "Great Mammon," the greedy demon who was always causing trouble. When MC looked at him, it felt like they saw something more, something better. And now? They were gone because of him.
Mammon kicked his legs out in frustration, his shoes thudding against the floor. How could he have been so stupid? Why did he always have to mess things up? He had the chance to make MC feel welcome, to make them feel like they belonged here, and he blew it.
And Diavolo’s words kept ringing in his ears. You failed them.
"Yeah, I know!" Mammon snapped at the empty room, his voice harsh with guilt. "I know I screwed up! I get it!"
He sat up suddenly, running his hands down his face in frustration. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. He was supposed to be their protector, their guardian. They were his pact holder, he was their first. He was supposed to look out for them, not drive them away. He hated that feeling—the helplessness that came with realizing he couldn’t fix this. He couldn’t just throw money at it or charm his way out like he usually did.
MC was gone, and it hurt more than he wanted to admit.
Mammon stood up, pacing his room. His mind raced, thinking of what he could’ve said or done differently. Maybe if he’d just told them how he really felt, if he’d stopped pushing them away and acting like they were a bother… Maybe they wouldn’t have left.
"I should’ve been better," he muttered, clenching his fists. "I should’ve told ‘em… I should’ve made ‘em feel like they mattered."
But he hadn’t. And now he was stuck with the gnawing regret that he might never see MC again. They were back in the human world, and they’d never want to come back to the Devildom, especially not after how he and the others had treated them.
He was the Great Mammon, sure. But what good was that title if he couldn’t even keep the one person who actually made him feel like he was more than just his sin?
With a choked sob, Mammon collapsed back onto his bed, staring at the ceiling as the tears began to fall.
He’d failed them. There was no getting around that. And the worst part? He’d never get the chance to make it right.
Leviathan
Leviathan sat in front of his monitors, eyes staring blankly at the paused screen of his latest game. His headphones sat around his neck, the usual buzz of online matches long forgotten. The quiet of his room wasn’t the kind he liked. It wasn’t peaceful or calming. It was suffocating.
MC was gone. Back to the human world. They had left without saying anything, without a word, without… him knowing. He hadn’t even noticed they were gone until the others started talking about it. And now that they weren’t here, the reality of the situation was starting to sink in.
Levi chewed on his thumbnail, anxiety swirling in his gut like an endless whirlpool. How could he have missed it? How could he not have seen what was happening right under his nose? His stomach churned with guilt as he thought about the way he’d treated MC since the moment they arrived.
Normie.
That was what he called them. Over and over again. He’d pushed them away, called them a nuisance, acted like they didn’t belong. He had no idea if they liked anime or games, but instead of giving them a chance to show they could understand his world, he had shut them out before they could even try. Why? Because they weren’t like him. Because they weren’t part of his world. Because it was easier to call them a "normie" and keep them at arm’s length than it was to let someone else get close.
Levi groaned, burying his face in his hands. He hated himself. Why did he always do this? Why did he always ruin things before they had a chance to be good? He had been scared—scared that MC would judge him like everyone else did, scared that they would see how awkward, how pathetic he really was. So he kept them away, treated them like some kind of animal when really… he had wanted them to be a part of his life.
They had tried. He could see it now, in hindsight. MC had tried to talk to him, had tried to get to know him, had actually listened to him when he'd rant. And what had he done? He’d dismissed them. Pushed them away. Called them human or normie—never their name—as if that was the only thing they could be.
He swallowed hard, guilt gnawing at his insides. If only he hadn’t been so wrapped up in his own insecurities, maybe things would have been different. Maybe MC wouldn’t have left.
But they did.
Levi curled in on himself, hugging his knees to his chest as the realization settled in. They were gone, and it was his fault. His fault for being too afraid to let them in, too scared to admit that maybe he wanted them around more than he’d ever let on. He hadn’t even realized how much he missed them until now, until the space they used to occupy in the house, in his life, felt empty.
And Diavolo’s words kept ringing in his ears. You failed them.
"Of course I did," Levi muttered, his voice thick with bitterness. "I always fail."
He had failed to be a good brother, failed to be a friend, and now, he had failed MC.
"They must think I hate them," Levi whispered, his chest tightening painfully. "They probably think I never wanted them around." His voice cracked, and he quickly wiped at his eyes with his sleeve, but it didn’t stop the tears that threatened to fall.
Because that wasn’t true. It had never been true.
Levi wanted them around—he had liked having them around. But how could they have known that when all he ever did was push them away, call them a normie, and act like they didn’t matter? He had been too caught up in his own head, too worried about them seeing the worst parts of him, to let them see the good.
Now they were back in the human world, far away from him, and he had no idea if they would ever come back. And if they did, why would they want to come back to him? The shut-in otaku who made them feel like they didn’t belong?
"Stupid," he muttered angrily, wiping his eyes again. "I’m so stupid…"
He stood up suddenly, pacing the room, his hands tugging at his hair in frustration. What if MC never came back? What if they decided to stay in the human world forever, away from all the pain and rejection the Devildom had offered them?
Levi’s heart pounded in his chest, panic rising as the what-ifs piled up in his mind. They were gone. And he didn’t know if he’d ever get the chance to tell them the truth, that he wanted them here, that he—needed them here.
But now it was too late.
With a deep, shaky breath, Levi sank into his tub, curling up again as his anxiety wrapped around him like a suffocating blanket.
It was always too late for him.
Satan
Satan sat in the library, the silence around him sharp and oppressive. The book in his hands remained unopened, his mind too preoccupied to focus on anything but the gnawing feeling of guilt twisting in his chest. MC had left. Gone back to the human world without so much as a word, without waiting for anything to change.
He ran a hand through his hair, jaw clenched tightly as Diavolo’s admonishment replayed in his head. You failed them. The words stung more than he expected, not because they were untrue, but because they were painfully accurate. He had failed them. They all had. And now the damage was done.
Satan wasn’t like Lucifer. He didn’t thrive on control or perfection, but failure still left a bitter taste in his mouth, especially when it was something that could have been prevented. He prided himself on understanding things—on reading people, situations, emotions. And yet, somehow, he had missed what was right in front of him.
I barely even acknowledged them, he thought bitterly, eyes narrowing as the realization sank deeper. When MC first arrived, they were just another part of the exchange program—an obligation. Someone he was forced to tolerate. He had never thought of them as more than that.
They had tried to speak to him on several occasions, asking questions, trying to understand the world around them. He had dismissed them each time. Not out of cruelty, but out of indifference. There were always more important things to focus on, more pressing matters in his mind. Books to read, knowledge to gather. What did it matter if a fragile human was feeling out of place? He’d barely given them a second thought, and now that they were gone, that indifference was coming back to haunt him.
Satan drummed his fingers on the arm of his chair, irritation bubbling just beneath the surface. He wasn’t angry at MC—not at all. He was angry at himself. He should have seen it. He should have recognized the signs. But instead, he’d brushed them off, barely looking up from his books when they entered the room. It was no wonder they had felt invisible. To him, they had been.
"How could I have been so blind?" he muttered under his breath, his grip tightening on the edges of his book.
His dismissive attitude had hurt them, but it wasn’t just the indifference—it was the frustration. The few times he had acknowledged MC, it had been with impatience. He’d grown annoyed when they asked questions, irritated when they didn’t immediately grasp the complex information he threw at them. He had expected too much from them. Expected them to just understand a world they’d only just entered.
I was unfair.
The admission grated on him, but it was the truth. He hadn’t given them the time or attention they needed. He had treated them like a distraction, like an inconvenience. And for what? Because they weren’t like him? Because they didn’t understand things as quickly as he wanted them to?
It was absurd. It was… disappointing. In himself.
Satan leaned forward, resting his elbows on his knees as he rubbed his temples, trying to keep the anger in check. His temper was always there, simmering just beneath the surface, but this was different. This wasn’t the kind of anger he could lash out at. It wasn’t something he could destroy or control. This was guilt—a slow, burning guilt that twisted in his gut and left him feeling powerless.
I failed them, he thought again, the words echoing in his mind like a relentless chant.
They had left because of him. Because of the way he treated them, the way he ignored their presence. The diary had made it clear—MC felt like they didn’t belong, like they were a burden. And he had done nothing to change that.
He had let them slip away. And now they were back in the human world, far beyond his reach.
Satan stood up abruptly, pacing the library with sharp, determined steps. He hated this feeling—this powerlessness. He wasn’t like Lucifer, obsessed with perfection, but he wasn’t one to accept failure either. Yet here he was, unable to fix the mess he had helped create.
He stopped in front of a bookshelf, his hand hovering over the spines of the books. Usually, the smell of old pages and the promise of knowledge would calm him, would ground him. But now? It just felt hollow.
Books couldn’t solve this.
Knowledge couldn’t solve this.
For once, all the intellect in the world meant nothing. He had failed MC not because he lacked understanding, but because he hadn’t cared enough to try.
He closed his eyes, frustration boiling in his chest. "I should’ve done better," he whispered, his voice low and filled with regret. "I should’ve listened."
But it was too late. They were gone. And there was nothing he could do to change that.
For someone who prided himself on knowing so much, Satan realized now that he had understood so little. And that knowledge—more than anything else—cut deeper than any reprimand Diavolo could have given him.
Asmodeus
Asmodeus sat in front of his vanity, staring at his reflection. Normally, he would be admiring the flawless way his skin glowed, the way his hair framed his face perfectly, or how his latest outfit highlighted every one of his best features. But today, the usual spark wasn’t there.
MC was gone. They had left the Devildom and returned to the human world, and they hadn’t even said goodbye.
Asmo frowned, twisting a lock of hair around his finger as he glanced down at the collection of beauty products scattered across his vanity. How could they have left like that? Without saying anything to him? No farewell? No goodbye hug? They had just… disappeared.
And they didn’t even tell me?
That part stung. He was Asmodeus, after all. Everyone loved him. Why wouldn’t they want to talk to him, to tell him what was going on in their head before leaving? It wasn’t like he had been mean to them—he’d been nothing but fabulous! He’d complimented them, given them fashion tips, even helped them choose outfits when they were looking drab.
He huffed and crossed his arms, his eyes flicking back to the mirror. "I don’t understand," he murmured to himself, inspecting his perfectly manicured nails. "They could’ve at least told me if something was wrong."
But as he thought about it, something uncomfortable started to settle in his chest. He hadn’t exactly treated MC like someone who mattered, had he? They were just the new human, someone for him to toy with, to dress up like a doll, to show off. He had treated them more like an accessory than a person. Every compliment he gave was followed by a backhanded comment about how they could do better, how they could look more fabulous. He had made everything about their appearance—about how they looked, what they wore—without ever thinking about what they wanted, how they felt.
And that diary entry… the one about him.
“Asmo’s always commenting on how I look. I know it’s not personal, but it feels like all I am to him is an object. A pretty thing to dress up, but never good enough to really matter.”
Asmo’s heart clenched uncomfortably as those words echoed in his mind. They hadn’t been meant for him to read, but now that he had, he couldn’t stop thinking about them. MC thought they didn’t matter. That they weren’t enough for him.
That wasn’t true! He had thought they were cute from the start. Sure, they had a long way to go in terms of style and confidence, but he had liked being around them. In his own way, he had enjoyed their presence. He just… never said it. Never showed it beyond superficial praise.
Had he really made them feel like that? Like they were just some toy to be discarded when something more interesting came along?
He bit his lip, eyes dropping from the mirror. "I didn’t mean to make them feel that way," he whispered, a strange knot of guilt tightening in his chest. "I just wanted them to look their best, to be their best."
But that wasn’t really the point, was it? MC hadn’t needed someone to tell them how to dress or how to look. They had needed someone to tell them they belonged, someone to make them feel like they were important beyond appearances.
Asmo sighed, sitting back in his chair and staring up at the ceiling. He hated this feeling—this heavy, nagging sense of regret. It wasn’t like him. He was Asmodeus, the Avatar of Lust, the most beautiful being in the Devildom. People flocked to him for advice, for attention. Everyone loved him. So why did it matter so much that one human didn’t?
Because it wasn’t just any human. It was MC.
They had trusted him. They had spent time with him, laughed at his jokes, let him play with their hair and help them pick outfits. And what had he done? He’d brushed them off like they were just another pretty face, like they weren’t worth getting to know beyond the surface.
And now they were gone. And it was his fault.
Asmo twirled a ring on his finger absentmindedly, the usual sparkle of his jewelry doing nothing to lift his mood. "They probably think I never cared about them," he muttered, his voice soft. "And maybe I didn’t… at least, not the way they needed me to."
He hated admitting it, but it was true. He had cared more about how they looked than how they felt. He had been so focused on making them into something he could be proud of that he hadn’t stopped to think about what they needed.
And now they were back in the human world, thinking they were never good enough for him. Thinking they didn’t matter.
For the first time in a long time, Asmo wasn’t thinking about himself. He wasn’t thinking about how he looked or what outfit he’d wear tomorrow. He was thinking about MC—about how he had hurt them without even realizing it. And that guilt, that realization, clung to him like a weight he couldn’t shake.
He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the vanity and burying his face in his hands.
But it was too late now. MC was gone. And all the beauty in the world couldn’t change that.
Beelzebub
Beel sat at the dining table, staring blankly at the plate in front of him. His usual appetite was gone, a strange hollowness taking its place. The silence felt heavier than usual, and for the first time in a long while, food couldn’t fill the emptiness inside him.
MC was gone. They had returned to the human world. And he hadn't even cared that they had disappeared.
He ran a hand through his hair, his brow furrowing as the thought settled in. He hadn’t paid much attention to them, hadn’t really thought about them as anything more than a human—something fragile, something that he wasn’t supposed to eat. They were just there, part of the exchange program, someone to tolerate but not worth focusing on.
Beel sighed, glancing at the uneaten food on his plate. It didn’t make sense to him. Why did it feel like something was missing now that they were gone? He hadn’t been particularly close to them. He’d never really taken much interest in what they did or said. They were just… human. And humans were something he didn’t think about much, aside from the occasional urge to eat one. But even that wasn’t really a problem. He knew better.
But still, the fact that they were gone—it didn’t sit right with him.
He leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest as he thought back to the few interactions they’d had. Whenever he saw them, he’d mostly been focused on food. Sometimes he’d make offhand comments about how they smelled different, or how they might taste good, but that was just the hunger talking. He didn’t mean it personally. He had never meant to make them feel uncomfortable.
But maybe he had.
“Beel doesn’t seem to care one way or another. He’s so focused on his hunger that I don’t think he even notices when I’m around. When he does, it’s just another reminder that I don’t really belong here.”
He frowned, the knot in his stomach tightening. They were right. He hadn’t cared one way or the other. To him, they were just another face in the Devildom, another human who wasn’t supposed to be eaten. He’d never gone out of his way to talk to them or get to know them.
He hadn’t thought they mattered.
But maybe they did.
Beel sighed again, his large hands resting on the table as he stared at his empty plate. He hadn’t done anything to make them feel welcome, hadn’t shown any interest in them beyond his usual blunt, hunger-driven remarks. To him, MC had just been part of the background, something he didn’t need to think about.
But now they were gone. And the more he thought about it, the more he realized that maybe he had missed something important.
He had seen how the others treated MC—the teasing from Mammon, the indifference from Satan, the distance from Levi. He had heard the way Lucifer demanded more from them, how Asmo insulted them under the guise of advice. Beel hadn’t said much, hadn’t gotten involved, but he hadn’t done anything to stop it either. And now that he thought about it, that made him just as guilty as the rest of them.
"They must’ve felt so alone," Beel muttered to himself, his brow furrowing. "And I didn’t do anything to help."
He wasn’t sure why it bothered him so much now. Maybe it was because MC had been part of their lives for a while, and now that they were gone, there was a strange emptiness where they used to be. He hadn’t realized how much he had gotten used to seeing them around, hearing their voice, watching them navigate the chaos of the House of Lamentation.
But now that they were gone, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was missing.
Beel stood up, pacing the room slowly. He wasn’t like Lucifer or Satan, always thinking things through, always analyzing the situation. He didn’t think too deeply about the people around him most of the time. But now? Now he wished he had paid more attention. Maybe if he had, MC wouldn’t have felt so isolated, so invisible.
"They were more than just a human," he muttered, a pang of guilt hitting him. "But I never treated them like they were."
He hadn’t thought they mattered, and that was his biggest mistake. MC had been a part of their world, even if they were human. They had been right there, trying to find their place, and Beel had done nothing. He hadn’t meant to hurt them, hadn’t meant to make them feel like they didn’t belong—but his indifference had done that anyway.
And now, it was too late.
Beel stopped pacing, leaning against the wall and staring down at the floor. He didn’t know what to do with this feeling. It wasn’t like hunger—he couldn’t just eat something and make it go away. This was different. It was guilt, and it was heavy.
"I should’ve cared more," he whispered, his voice quiet in the empty room. "I should’ve made sure they knew they were welcome."
But they hadn’t known. And now they were back in the human world, far away from all of them.
Beel clenched his fists, frustration welling up inside him. He hated that they had left feeling like they didn’t matter. He hated that he hadn’t done anything to make them stay.
But what could he do now?

He wondered that if there was a thing he wouldnt do it for you... but even when he was thinking it he realised how his pride is crushed for you. But did it matter he wondered. While you were in another's arms, did his sacrifice matter or did it just made him more pathetic.
Or did it matter when you kissed your's ,truly, in front him; who was also yours... truly...

Readjusting
context: just a few somewhat angsty headcanons I have for when MC and Solomon return to the present after everything, enjoy!!
warnings: this does contain nightbringer spoilers
the past changes people
Tumblr media
MC will often become more hesitant to talk to or even engage with the brothers. Due to being treated as an attendant in the past they now are used to it, so whenever one of the brothers tries to engage with them they find it hard to sit still or listen to said brother for long periods of time without feeling out of place.
MC will often mix up the fact that they are an exchange student rather than an attendant. When Diavolo claims that he wants MC to feel comfortable as an exchange student MC will respond with something along the lines of how they don’t need much because they’re the brothers attendant. Which in return gets a few confusing stares from others.
MC still carries out some of their duties as an attendant unconsciously. Such as keeping track of the brother’s schedules, events, student council meetings, etc. The brothers don’t mind at first however what they do find unpleasant is the fact MC always follows behind them instead of right beside them like they used too. This doesn’t register until one of them says something to MC, which they in turn respond with “I always follow behind all seven of you”. Which makes their hearts sink.
Still focusing on the attendant duties, MC will still continue to carry out anything asked of them without much of a fight. Since they were so used to carrying out such elaborate things when watching over the brothers in the past they are now used to doing such tasks for them. Most of the time this will confuse most of the brothers because MC is usually more vocal with their opinion on something.
MC will unconsciously be a bit harsher and stricter on the brothers than they usually were. Since being their attendant MC had to keep each of them on a tight leash so they wouldn’t get into trouble. So now in the present if they were to start fighting MC would be the first to show up to scold them instead of Lucifer.
MC will just straight up be petty with Lucifer for a while. Due to the things he said while they were in the past they still haven’t completely forgiven him. So whenever Lucifer mentions his “family”, MC finds themselves saying some remark along the lines of “well that doesn’t include me” or “just the seven of you I know. I leave you all alone” is enough to confuse and hurt the hell out of him. MC knows that Lucifer does really care for them in this timeline, but they can’t help it. His words really did hurt them deeply for awhile.
On another topic of MC’s attitude, Diavolo soon realizes that they are much more formal with him. The cute nickname Dia was dropped and he was always referred to by a title now. When Diavolo questioned them about formality MC simply explained that the past Barbatos didn’t like them referring to Diavolo in such a manner.
MC is now more vigilant around Satan, Belphegor and Barbatos, each for different reasons.
Satan is one that worries MC the most because they became used to having to deal with his violent outbursts and destructive episodes. So when Satan gets angry in the present MC will step in front of him and the brothers separating them. Satan soon grows confused when MC prepares a spell to restrain him.
Belphegor doesn’t worry MC as much as the other two, but after he found out they were a human in the past and tried to kill them again in response MC had to remain vigilant. They still do whenever they are alone with him. Which in turn makes the youngest guilty about the past.
Barbatos is someone MC keeps Solomon away from at all costs. After all MC was used to Barbatos teleporting the sorcerer around from place to place. It did become concerning when Solomon would show up later and later each time he came home. So to avoid that MC would make themselves and Solomon avoid the butler at all costs. However the present butler soon finds this behavior hurtful when MC constantly declines his offer to come over. In the end MC has a hard time remembering that this isn’t the past Barbatos.
Many soon noticed the strong bond MC now has with Solomon and of course they all become jealous. At first they noticed how MC would go to him for little things, or just prefer to be around him more, but when they asked about moving in with him rather than staying in the House of Lamentation it threw everyone for a loop. It made it even worse when MC said they’ll be there to help the brothers every morning like usual. They wanted MC to realize that they’re an exchange student not an attendant.
Many also notice how reliant they are on Solomon for certain things. Sometimes MC just needs Solomons presence in a room to be able to feel comfortable. If not MC will then become slightly annoyed or fidgety.
Solomon becomes more protective over MC without even realizing it. If he believes one of the brothers are being too bothersome to MC he will step in and whisk them away.
Solomon finds it easier to steal MC’s attention away now. Before when he would try and drag them away from the brothers, or even try and steal their attention for just a second it always failed. However with how close they both became in the past, if Solomon interrupts a conversation MC is having with the brothers MC finds themselves listening to him a bit more than the brother they were speaking with.
MC is much more reckless and blunt with their decision making now. Before they were a bit more collected with their thoughts. However being in the past made their impulsive decision making become a habit. Thus causing the brothers to sometimes question MC methods.
MC would often question the brothers as to why they weren’t in their demon forms. They suppose they just got used to seeing them in those outfits for so long now it became the norm.
