one thing that will forever piss me off is the way people talk about indian workers. there have 500 deaths confirmed due to heatstroke in a country which never counts heatstroke deaths. i imagine the actual number is in the thousands. minimum temps in the northern plains dont go below 35°c. humidity is high, and people are dying on the street, dropping like flies that the sahabs sitting in AC swat off their table. there is nothing for indian workers, no respite, no help coming. this is bad enough, but then i see people (usamericans and brits and funnily enough a ton of brazilians) making fun of them for dying. "we should nuke them" "dirty people anyway" "they have too many, whats a few less". verbatim sentences uttered by "communists" with tens of thousands of followers. theres just no help coming. im lucky i teach in bangalore, where the weather is pleasant enough for now. i cant imagine how many people are suffering in the plains and in the shivaliks. one of the most densely populated regions of the world, and their own government wants them to die. i have colleagues that have barely survived the elections. the value of life in this country if youre poor or lower caste is nothing, not to the uc masters or not to the foreign communist. we die without a war, without a murmur, without a care. all we get in response are silence and jokes. i know for a fact that when i die ill be thought of by no one. my lifes value is 0. im a transwoman in this country. no transperson survives memory death. my wish was that some of my friends would. but apparently not

Khushi tapped her fingers idly on the keyboard, eyes flickering back and forth between the chat window and the door to the cyber cafe. Skybound was late again, probably off saving some metaphorical damsel in distress or rescuing a kingdom from peril. She chuckled to herself, picturing him as some gallant knight, and the thought made her smile.

At last, the unmistakable chime rang out from her screen.

Skybound: Guess who survived the dragon attack?

She grinned, her fingers flying across the keyboard.

OceonBreeze: Barely, I’m sure. What took you so long, Sir Knight? The dragon too big to handle this time?

Skybound: Actually, this one had three heads. Took a bit longer than I expected. But I couldn’t leave you hanging, could I?

Khushi laughed softly. There was something about the way Skybound wrote that always made her feel like she was part of something more adventurous, something magical, even when all she was really doing was sitting in a tiny cubicle in a Bangalore cyber cafe.

She hesitated for a moment, then decided to share her news. After all, she had been holding onto it all day, waiting to tell him.

She frowned slightly. That wasn’t what she expected. Normally, he would tease her mercilessly, make some joke about love letters and how she was now the queen of hearts. Instead, there was a long pause, like he was choosing each word carefully, which wasn’t his style.

OceonBreeze: Yeah, it’s kinda sweet. He just slipped it in my bag. The usual cheesy stuff, you know? Something like ‘You light up my world’ or whatever.

Skybound: And… do you like him?

Khushi blinked at the screen, confused. Why was he asking that? She wasn’t sure what he was getting at.

If I go on telling my likings of her, I'll fill much of this book with praises of her. Not like she doesn't deserve it, but like she'll be always more than that.

So talking about my interest in her and remaining at a certain seems like not a good match but I have my fears. There are days when I keep on wondering what would it feel like to kiss her full lips, to touch her soft skin !!! This thought really leaves me mesmerized and I start yearning for her. I have questioned myself for weeks and months, if what I feel is exactly love, or if I'm mistaken. Also, I fear to come up with the fact that I love her. It's a powerful sentence. I really don't wanna mess up things in my head, for these things are which I can't control. I have been a loner, I'll be one this time too.

She is complicacy walking around in black clothes. She says nobody did love her, remains lost in why's and remains unhappier yet happier. Clingy yet cold. Simple yet cruel and won't perhaps ever open her eyes to see me. Someone who does care for her, someone who would do anything to have her and someone who would love her, and love her utmost rightly that she forgets she was ever heartbroken. Silly of her ? Yes I know !

She's silly in more than one ways though. She doesn't get my feelings at all or I don't know, ignores to get a taste of them. Whilst I see future in her eyes. I'm unable to describe this feeling of what they write songs about but I know what it feels like for the first time in my life. I really wish if she could ever come and visit me in Bangalore. It's the feeling of us alone, spending sometime together, which sparkles up my eye. I would treat her like a queen. I would sit by her while she talks and keeps on talking. I would make her the best coffee in the world. I would play PC games with her. I would take her out for dinner and dance with her until we fall asleep. You can imagine right ? What happens when a loner finds the love of her life ? It's so soothing to think about but would she ever come to know all of this! I'm not sure.

im quitting my job. its sucking my time dry and its not letting me learn anything. im sitting here and drinking coffee in my room. i have an interview tomorrow. i haven't prepared for it. i did nothing today. its embarrassing but even if i start today i think i won't be an absolute loser tomorrow, i might not get this job but thats ok.

i really wanna go to Bangalore, all the tech kids are there. i'll learn all of cloud and ml in the next three months. im planning for atleast 3 interviews for each month. god its all so hopeless and scary. idk if its the right decision. but i cannot live like this.

its already 7:12 and i haven't prepared anything. i'll start by defining a goal with that music project. then after completing that. i'll try revising/learning all of nlp concepts and memorize most of dl/ml.

also im sooo insecure about my weight bcs a boy once told me that im "too thin" and i have no tits :(
