Wholesome, beautiful, fluffy, and just top quality. It’s a short kdrama being four episodes with one hrs long each, so it’s very easy to binge right through the whole series. It’s a light fluffy romantic drama that focuses on bullying and healing. The main leads did an outstanding performance in their roles (chemistry is off the charts oof) as did the supporting, the child was so adorable. It’s a very nice hidden gem and definitely a recommendation to romance fans.

New girl groups to shake up K-pop scene

Following the dazzling success of K-pop girl groups like NewJeans, IVE, Le Sserafim and aespa, a wave of new girl groups are set to arrive this year, seeking to bring a breath of fresh air to the scene.

K-pop powerhouse HYBE, home to the Grammy-nominated boy band BTS, plans to debut a five-member group, ILLIT, on March 25. It consists of Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha — the winners from the 2023 audition show, "R U Next?" which was co-produced by HYBE and cable channel JTBC. It gathered viewers from more than 180 countries, according to HYBE.

ILLIT is the third girl group to be launched by HYBE, following NewJeans and Le Sserafim, who started their careers in 2022. But all three of them are represented by different sub-labels. ILLIT, for instance, is managed by Belift Lab, home to high-profile boy band Enhypen.

"ILLIT is the combination of the phrase, 'I will' and the word, 'it,'" HYBE said in a statement. "As its name implies, ILLIT is a group that boasts the potential to become anything it wants."

The quintet's debut album, "Super Real Me," will be released in two different versions: "Real Me" and "Super Me." HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk reportedly took part in the album's creative process.

"We are so happy and thrilled to make our much-desired debut," ILLIT members said through HYBE. "We will continue to display our growth, so please give us your support and love."

The Black Label, an associate company of YG Entertainment that gave birth to K-pop sensation BLACKPINK, is also scheduled to unveil a new girl group in the first half of this year. The Black Label was founded by producer Teddy Park, who was behind the success of numerous K-pop hits such as "Whistle" (2016) and "Shut Down" (2022) by BLACKPINK.

Although The Black Label said details will be disclosed later, speculation is rife that a granddaughter of Shinsegae Group Chairwoman Lee Myung-hee — the youngest daughter of late Samsung Group founder Lee Byung-chull — will be joining the new team.

The speculation surfaced after she was spotted in a series of photos showing The Black Label's idol trainees. The pictures, which immediately went viral, also feature American model Ella Gross and dancer Bailey Sok — who crafted the choreography for girl band aespa's songs "Savage" (2021) and "Illusion" (2022) — at a place that appears to be a dance practice room.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, K-pop behemoth SM Entertainment is poised to present a new girl group, approximately four years after creating aespa in 2020. SM CEO Jang Cheol-hyuk said on YouTube in May that the label was preparing to produce a multi-member group.

Whether Na Ha-eun, a YouTube creator who signed an exclusive contract with SM in 2022, will be part of the new team is of utmost interest among K-pop fans worldwide. 7 people get involved in a girl's disappearance case and they face an explosive incident.

Matthew Lee (Uhm Ki-Joon) runs the biggest mobile platform company in South Korea, but he is a mysterious figure behind a veil. Only a few people know who he is. He gets involved in a bizarre case and this leads him to reveal himself to the public.

Geum La-Hui (Hwang Jung-Eum) is the CEO of a drama production company. She is skillful and aggressive at her job. Geum La-Hui values money and success the most in her life and she will take any path to achieve that. To receive a huge inheritance, she tries to find her daughter whom she abandoned 15 years ago.

Min Do-Hyuk (Lee Joon) used to be a gangster. He doesn't have a dream or hope for his life. If he trusts someone once, he will will trust them for good. Due to this, his life is filled with a series of betrayal.

Han Mo-Ne (Lee Yoo-Bi) wants to become an idol and she is admired by her friends. She seems to have a perfect life with a beautiful appearance and rich family background, but she has a weakness. Her weakness is that she consistently turns out lies. Her life is full of these lies.

Cha Ju-Ran (Shin Eun-Kyung) is an ob-gyn. She lives with Bang Chil-Sung (Lee Deok-Hwa), who is much older than her. Bang Chil-Sung is a very wealthy man and Cha Ju-Ran loves the money he has. Meanwhile, Cha Ju-Ran and Geum La-Hui are engaged in a psychological war over Bang Chil-Sung's wealth. Geum La-Hui brings Bang Chil-Sung’s only grandchild to him.

Yang Jin-Mo (Yoon Jong-Hoon) is the CEO of Cherry Entertainment. He is usually gentle, but once his anger explodes nobody stops him. He is extremely greedy and will do anything for profit.

Go Myoung-Ji (Jo Yoon-Hee) is an art teacher at school. She creates a lie to protect something precious to her and she spreads a weird rumor at school to hide her weak point.

The revenge plans are so ruthless and creative. Everyone is so sly. The prank cams go so hard. Tricking In Na with Bongsun's cries was crazy.

It's so crazy watching this in 2022. IU and Jiyeon are so young. I can't with IU fangirling over Taeyang lmaoo. Kahi looks the same and still hot. Lee Jin is always beautiful. She's so pleasantly there, and it's so charming. I like how mellow she is. She also seems wholesome. I highkey think she's the funniest despite everyone saying she's boring. I loved Lee Jin the entire interview employee episode. She looking amazing in her outfit. Her interview was so funny. I love watching the members get along and having their moments. e.g. In Na and Sa Yeon imitating dogs and puppies. I think Nicole is really amusing and cool. Narsha is like an older sister I want. They're all so funny. Nicole defining Korean words is like the most beautiful and amusing thing. Sometimes, it's so wise and sometimes, it's just so funny. Nicole is more often than not, very intelligent, confident, capable, and strong. I love and admire it so much. I like Lee Jin and Kahi's friendship. it was nice to hear all the vulnerable stories in the teacher episode. You expect parts of it since the path to success is difficult, but these are good reminders and how struggles are different and the same. It's definitely inspirational and they're supportive words that I personally never hear in real life, so it's nice to hear it from people who are optimistic despite what goes on. I love IU tripping as the rabbit mascot. I love how people are so crazy for food. Ngl, I respect In Na and her ease in lying. I love how accurately they mimic each other. I love how IU does things so enthusiastically. I honestly respect everyone because they're doing soo many things that they don't need to/don't know/aren't good at, but they still do it with a hardworking attitude. I love In Na laughing when she's pleased.

I'm interested in learning about the village woman whose parents live in Uzbekistan. The soldier talent audition made me think about how random people are and what they do with their time.

The Seo In Young birthday prank was so emotionally hard to watch. Cute moments: IU hitting herself on the head, the grandmothers in the village learning slang words. Jiyeon and IU's relationship is cute. How they're both ambitious but friends. I love when you can see how earnest and hardworking people are. e.g. when Lee Jin scoops elephant poop with no complaints, when the popular team was trying to get revenge in the safari ep and tried to discipline the late-comers and the other team really heard it and felt responsible.

Funny moments: when they were imitating each other in pj's, In Na shouting for the grapes back after Jiyeon abandons her team, whenever In Na lies, Lee Jin finding dad jokes amusing, all the interviews for getting a job was so funny, Kku Kku pig and Seo Taeji joke was gold, Hwi Jae's poison dart thing, Lee Jin accurately guessing Narsha's rolling game answer of one bang and it's over, Narsha digging the sand for the buoy. There are too many funny moments to even document it all. Omg lmaoo at the Hee Joo girl living a dream with Eun Hyuk for her teaching lesson. Lmaooo at Narsha and Soo Ah's moms being the VIPs. Lmaoo at auctioning off IU's fan.

In the 4th episode of tvN's Saturday and Sunday drama 'One Other Scandal' (Screenplay Yang Hee-seung, Yeo Eun-ho/Director Yoo Je-won), which aired on January 22nd, Choi Chi-yeol (Jung Kyung-ho) first proposed private tutoring to Nam Hae-yi (Noh Yoon-seo), who had been unfairly expelled.

Haeng-sun Nam (played by Do-yeon Jeon) attended a parents' meeting when her daughter Nam Hae-yi was accepted into the medical school's all-care urban class. Bang Soo-ah (Kang Na-eon) mother Jo Soo-hee (Kim Seon-yeong) and Lee Seon-jae (Lee Chae-min) mother Jang Seo-jin (Jang Young-nam) openly fought at the parents' meeting. Jang Seo-jin also took the side of Jo Su-hee, dissatisfied with the friendship between her son Lee Seon-jae and Nam Hae-i.

Nam Hae-i was suddenly kicked out of the all-care urban class because she did not attend all the lectures of the all-care urban instructors. Haeng-seon Nam also tried to protest to the director, Jun-sang Kang, in anger at the academy's behavior of suddenly canceling after notifying the pass, but he could not even meet him.

Feeling guilty that if Nam Hae-yi had been in the all-care urban class, Choi Chi-cheol went to Nam Haeng-seon and said, “Let’s start classes again, daughter. Let her take a class with me separately. Thanks to his passionate and incredibly consistent acting, "Big Mouth" concluded with the highest viewer rating peak of 13.7 and was even selected as MBC's best hit in 2022.

In addition, this is not the first time that the K-drama heartthrob won the grand prize. Six years ago, Lee Jong Suk was lauded by the crowd as he was hailed as the Daesang recipient in the 2016 MBC Drama Awards for the webtoon-based series "W: Two Worlds."

Due to his two Daesang trophies, Lee Jong Suk broke a record as the first actor to receive the highest award twice in the MBC Drama Awards history. Other stars who have received the Daesang (grand prize) are Kim Hee Ae, Go Doo Shim, and Chae Shi Ra. The actress who owns the best record with three Daesangs in 1988, 1992, and 1999 is veteran artist Kim Hye Ja.

Furthermore, no male stars had won Daesang twice at the MBC Drama Awards, and it was Lee Jong Suk who became the first actor to achieve it.

Besides the grand prize, the male star also received the Best Couple Award alongside "Big Mouth" co-star and first-time on-screen partner Im YoonA.

Meanwhile, Lee Jong Suk also made his big screen comeback last November in the action-adventure movie "Decibel" together with Cha Eun Woo and Kim Rae Won. The film received massive support from fans in Korea and abroad.
