What is Tales of Nephfei? I really love ur art!!!

Tales from Nephfei is a moniker for a character and storymaking group made by @queijac! or at the very least what ive adopted to call my own stories set there...

not sure how familiar you are with closed species - creators' species that require permission to make, usually in the form of a ticket - but the group is centered around a CS called spinxyn or spinx, a type of sphinx native to a world called Nephfei. it's inhabited by four sapient species total, and the other three are open to make without explicit permission; variants on harpies, centaurs, and mermaids - harpips, centicorns, and merphins - that aesthetically match spinxyn.

it's a modern fantasy realm with pockets of other fantastic cultures; most of my associated characters live in a big city akin to NYC but i have a group of witches that live in a forested swamp too. generally speaking, there's some tension between the sapient species and legend has it the gods punished spinxyn long ago by stripping away their magic. they're able to be cursed or blessed by the gods or the other species, and can look wildly different because of it (aand have societal repercussions thanks to these too). im a sucker for loose design rulesets so i looove making these guys lol

Mostly Nephfei is about making cool ocs and playing in the sandbox together with other creators to make stories and have fun! it has some gameifying elements like a group currency to earn spinx tickets that encourage engaging with your ocs' stories and whatnot too. its really pushed me to learn a lot and remain motivated to draw <3

That’s how I feel right now due to cooking since 2 pm. Please don’t get me wrong. I am so thankful for the generosity of others sharing their “fruits of labor”. Cooking is more work than some think therefore that’s why I say I feel blank. I guess you can say blank is another word for numb or tired. At least in my vocabulary. I didn’t write any this morning.  Mainly I didn’t have anything to say.…
