Playing BG3 and I swear my party members can be so dumb sometimes. Had a short scene play out recently with perfect comedic timing.

Astarion: *Passive Perception Succeeded* Oh look, a trap!

(A series of 3 pressure-plate traps in a neat row become visible. Only the middle trap has the “disarm” option)

Astarion: *carefully walks around the first pressure plate to the middle one, starts trying to disarm it*

Tav, Laezel, and Gale: *immediately run to follow Astarion into the trap radius* (while Astarion is trying to disarm them)

T/L/G: *Steps directly on the first pressure plate as the disarm roll is happening*

*All traps explode, including the middle trap which blows up directly in Astarion’s face*

Astarion: *Disarm roll succeeded, trap disarmed!”

Just came to the part with Dribbles the clown and this had me in tears from laughter. Such great voice acting from all the characters but astarion was a delight as usual. His lines were so funny. Will probably write a little one-shot on this
