Drago- I reckon he's a big quality time whore. Dude just wants to hang out👉👈 just wants to visit you at the centre of the universe that your kind are confined to every day👉👈 wants to sit on a park bench with you and listen to you rant about your brother's evil doings👉👈

Tigrerra- Words of affirmation I reckon. You hear her hyping up her girl Runo every hour of the day? She needs to let Runo know exactly how amazing she is since no one else will! She wants Runo to talk through her problems with her, she wants to listen and advise.

Preyas- Acts of service?? I think?? Idk to be honest. His main point as far as I can recall is trying to put on a show and make people laugh, even at the worst of times. Also the cooking bit🥺 never forget.

Gorem- He would love to give physical affection if it weren't for the threat of him accidentally crushing anyone he tries to hug, whether they be human or or even most Bakugan. So most of the time, he sticks to words of affirmation or just waits until someone gives him physical affection (COUGH COUGH JULIE).

Skyress- You'll never guess this... it's another words of affirmation enjoyer. She needs you to listen to what she has to say, because what she has to say is I love you and please go easy on yourself.

Hydranoid- You'd think that it'd be acts of service since the man literally cannot live without someone to serve, but that's more obligation rather than love. So I'm thinking more quality time. I doubt he spent much time just hanging out with Masquerade, so when he finally belongs to Alice, it'd be a rather odd change to just chill with her instead of constantly getting stronger or trying to kill someone. But eventually, he learns to really relax and appreciates just being near Alice, no matter what they're doing.

Aforementioned fic snippet

I have been chewing on this for. yonks. and there is more, but it's mostly dialogue blocking that I need to flesh out. It's Runo-centric and will eventually hopefully feature some of her and Shun being😳 buds. But also it may be a bit sad and rage-inducing. Enjoy!

The brush sailed through Runo’s hair slowly and smoothly, keeping the same pace it’d had for ten minutes now. Her eyes were unfocused, barely paying her reflection in the bathroom mirror any attention. Even when her mother called her name for the fourth time that morning, she didn’t move. The world was a blurry, foggy mess, and she intended to keep it that was for as long as possible. Anything to keep her away from that place downstairs.

“Runo?” her Bakugan partner, Tigrerra, called from the edge of the sink. “Didn’t you hear your mother call?”

Runo’s brush slowed to a stop right at the end of her hair. She turned her head slightly in Tigrerra’s direction, but her gaze stayed in the corner of the mirror. “Hm?”

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Tigrerra’s tiny body hop up off of the sink and felt her lightly land on her shoulder. “Are you feeling alright, my lady?”

“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” she sighed. “Just… tired.” She never liked lying to her partner, but Tigrerra just wouldn’t be able to understand her pain. They didn’t have problems like this back in Vestroya- at least, Runo hoped that they didn’t.

“Do you think it would be best if you used one of your break days today?” Judging by how often Tigrerra suggested this as a solution to her problems, she likely felt that Runo’s problems stemmed from being overworked. And, in a way, she was right; Runo could definitely appreciate less time in that hellhole her parents called employment.

Unfortunately, that solution would be only temporary, and that wasn’t something Runo could be bothered with. “No, I don’t think so,” she answered. “Dan and the others will probably come today. I’m sure they’d assume something was wrong with me if I didn’t show up, and then freak out about it.”

“Alright, if you insist.” She didn’t sound the least bit convinced, but she never pressured Runo to talk about her troubles if she really didn’t want to. She always ended up talking about it eventually, so it didn’t matter how long it took to open up.

But this time… what was there for a Bakugan to understand? How could opening up about this to Tigrerra really help in any way?

With as much enthusiasm as usual, Runo got herself ready for the day; putting her hair up in its usual pigtails, getting dressed in her usual top, skirt, and tights, and doing her usual makeup routine: enough concealer to hide the bags under her eyes, some light blush, and some mascara. She skipped the lip gloss today; she’d stopped wearing it during working hours when she noticed that it drew a little too much attention to her lips from the customers.

When she’d finally run out of ways to stall, she begrudgingly trudged down the stairs and into the kitchen, where her mother was rushing between the espresso machine and the sink. When she noticed her daughter in the doorway, she scoffed. “Well, would you look who finally decided to show up?” she scolded. “Lord, thought you might’ve died up there!”

“Good to know you were so worried about me,” Runo droned, sarcastically.

“Oh, don’t give me your attitude today, please. We’ve got a full house out there!” her mother exclaimed. Runo groaned and rolled her eyes, causing her mother to sigh in defeat. “Alright. If you’re in such a bad mood, then why don’t you start out by serving your friends in the booth? All of ‘em showed up in one big group about five minutes ago.”

“Of course they did,” Runo grumbled, finally entering the kitchen to grab her apron. As she tied it around her waist, her mother placed a rolled omelette on a small plate on the counter next to her.

“Don’t forget breakfast, doll. You look like you really need the energy today,” she said, pinching her daughter’s cheek gently as she scanned her face with concern.

“I’m fine, mom. Thanks.”

As her mother resumed her work in the kitchen, Runo shovelled the omelette into her mouth. She then grabbed her notepad and pen, took a deep breath, and exited the kitchen through the café backdoor.

The smell of fresh coffee only barely covered the stench that every grown man in the café brought in with him. All the same, in their branded t-shirts and jeans, there wasn’t a single one that she remembered as a regular, even though most of them knew her name. Her father stood behind the counter, pretending to clean as he loudly laughed along with whatever the customers were saying. No wonder her mother was so distressed, Runo thought; her father was just standing there doing fuck-all.

Her five friends easily stood out from the crowd; aside from their brightly coloured outfits, they were the only teenagers in the shop other than her. She approached their table with as much enthusiasm as she’d been displaying all morning: none.

Honestly I think most of my fictional crushes are pretty tame except for like... somehow throughout my life I managed to cycle through crushing on all 6 of the og Guardian Bakugan from Bakugan battle brawlers? Not the brawlers. The bakugan.

Like idk what happened to kid me to have gotten so fixated on these six but for some reason there was a substantial period of my childhood where I had at least a crush on one of them. Particularly Drago and Tigrera

I feel like Drago statred my obscure love for Dilf dragons and like idk the Polish voice actor for him had a really nice voice and I like how he says "Daniel".

Also Drago's dad bod death in later seasons was terrifying and tragic

Camp Vestroia things!

that’s right, I’m finally posting some headcanons for my AU

-Shun and Skyress are siblings, and Ingram is their cousin.

-Shun writes letters to his mom about camp, even though he knows she’ll never read them(on account of being dead)

-Helios and Drago are rivals who basically constantly fight to outdo each other

-Klaus’ family owns the camp on the first place

-Tigrerra exists, but unlike the other OG guardian Bakugan, she is the local stray cat. Brontes takes the place of counselor

-Preyas has a mullet. You may hate it, but I feel like it makes sense

-Skyress loves letting Shun deal with his own problems even when she could totally help. She does this because she thinks Shun gets too attached to people sometimes and wouldn’t know how to go on without them. Also, it’s funny.

-The Aquos cabin entirely ignores their counselors. They set up a democratic government. Preyas and Elfin are just there.

(I’ve been waiting to get this out of my drafts)

Ginga: He would use Haos because stars have light, and he would use flying Bakugan like Monarus, Gargonoid, and Manion

Kenta: Kenta would be a Pyrus brawler because of Sagittario’s Special Move. I don’t know what Bakugan he would use (because I haven’t seen a centaur or archer Bakugan), but I know he would use a Fire Tornado card

Madoka: I don’t know what Bakugan she'd use because she would be more of an expert than a player

Kyoya: Kyoya would undeniably use Ventus; just look at Leone’s Special Moves! His Bakugan would be Griffon (because Griffon’s the closest thing to a lion Bakugan) and maybe Tigrerra (because tigers are big cats like lions)

Benkei: I think Benkei would be a Subterra user. He would use Bakugan that hit hard like Saurus, Tuskor, and Gorem

Doji: I know I shouldn't include him because he's an adult, but he would definitely be a Darkus user and his Bakugan would be Hynoid because it looks like a wolf

Tetsuya: Maybe he'd use Subterra. Of course, he’d use crab Bakugan like Terrorclaw and Limulus, and his Gate Cards would be Mind Ghost and Quicksand Freeze

Hikaru: Hikaru would definitely be an Aquos brawler! She would use any Aquos Bakugan and any water Ability cards
