Bijjaladeva stormed out of the palace, as fast as his legs could carry him. It had been eight whole months since he had seen his son, and he slowly went insane in the huge palace by himself. Kattappa governed the empire on Bhalla’s behalf, adding insult to his father’s injury. Now that his son had finally returned to him, he could be happy.
Or so he had thought.
Bhalla returned to Mahishmati with his fully pregnant wife, her best friend’s words from six months ago ringing in his ears.
Devasena stood a few metres away from Bhalla, her grip on her sword steel-like. “She needs to be at Sundarsi right now, and you know that. Why did you bring her here?” “Because she needs her best friend more.” Bhalla stared ahead, watching the small kingdom.
“Kuntala looks like it has recovered.” Devasena scoffed at his remark and glared at him. “No thanks to you.” Silence settled as her eyes softened slowly. “You can keep her here however long you wish to, but she needs to be at her home to be truly happy. To be safe. Or her child-”
“I can’t take her to Sundarsi, that will alert my father of our whereabouts immediately. I wish to be away from him, for their sake. He would kill them both if we go now. She’s safest here, away from my father’s evil intent.”
He sighed, turning to Devasena. “I need to protect her, and the one coming to us soon. So think of this as me trying to be a good husband.” Devasena kept staring at him, her eyes cold, and she turned to leave. She paused, her back to him. “You need to go to Sundarsi for your wife, though. Her child needs to be born there, and you know that.” Bhalla huffed, nodding.
“I do know what they both need, but for now, let us stay here until the time is right.”
Bijjaladeva froze the minute Aarya set foot into the palace, his eyes bulging out as he stared at her pregnant body, tears filling his eyes as he turned to look at Bhalla, his lips wobbling as he raised a shaky finger up at his son. “What have you done?” He cried, horrified and disgusted. Bhalla stared coldly at his father as Aarya dutifully bent down slowly to seek Bijjaladeva’s blessings. “We seek your b-” “Silence, you witch!” Bijjaladeva thundered, glaring at her as he stepped back, looking at her and then at his son. “How could you do this, Bhalla? You wed and now she’s expecting a child?! A child from her is no less than a curse to us, to our kingdom!” Bhalla silently helped Aarya stand up again, rubbing her belly gently and supporting her back, fondly smiling at her, before turning to coldly stare at his father. “You will not speak ill of my child, Nanna, or of my wife.” Bhalla’s proud smirk peeked through when he called Aarya his wife, and Bijjaladeva fumed.
“Wife? Wife?! You trust this witch of a woman that much? You left your kingdom for months, letting it be governed by a slave, and you returned with this vile woman, swollen with a monster like her, and you expect me to be completely alright with it?!” Bijjaladeva glared at Aarya and pointed at her belly with disgust, spitting venom. “Are you even certain that this vile witch is carrying your-” A dagger materialised in Aarya’s hand as she pointed it at Bijjaladeva’s throat, a dangerous glint in her eyes as she pressed it in enough to draw out blood. Bhalla coldly glared at his father, a protective arm around Aarya. “Speak however you wish to about me, not a word against my child.” Aarya hissed, stepping forward as Bijjaladeva’s eyes shook, unable to look at her. “You’re old and my king’s father, so I’m bound to give you a little more respect than your worthless self deserves, but don’t mistake my manners and morals as weakness.” Bhalla calmly pulled her back, gently taking the dagger out of her hands as he smiled at her. “Aarya, you need to rest, come on. Go to our quarters, I’ll be with you shortly. I need to talk to my father.” Aarya nodded, following a few soldiers and maids and leaving, and Bhalla turned to glare at his father. “Aarya told you to say whatever you want about her, but if you even think of doing so again I’ll slit your throat myself, Nanna. She’s my wife, your daughter-in-law and the Empress of Mahishmati and Sundarsi.” Bhalla watched as his father’s face crumbled, a flurry of emotions passing through him as the old man choked and stumbled upon his words, tears running down his face. “You- all this, for a sleazy wo-”
“No. All this, for my woman. For my wife.”
Bhalla glared at him and stepped closer, towering over him as he slowly spoke. “I’m warning you for the last time, Nanna. Not a word against my queen; not a word against the mother of my child.” Bhalla turned and stalked off as his father was left behind, alone yet again. Bijjaladeva collapsed on the floor, weeping like a lost child, watching the emperor of Mahishmati with his family.
— — —
Aarya sat on her bed, sighing softly as she rubbed her swollen belly, shifting uncomfortably as she settled down. Being pregnant wasn’t the greatest feeling in the world, it’s honestly not talked about enough. The pains, the discomfort, the uneasy changes in the body. Aarya scowled, trying to find some sort of comfort when she heard a chuckle and turned to see her husband watching her, a smug smile on his face. She scowled harder, rolling her eyes. “Aarya, this is ridiculous, you know that. I still don’t know why you’re so mad at me.” Bhalla waltzed over, gently lifting her and fixing pillows under to make her comfortable exactly how she preferred, moving to sit behind her as he pushed her head into his lap, massaging her head. “I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’m not mad at all, husband.” Aarya refused to sigh out in relief as he massaged her head, his hands slowly moving to her shoulders. “I just wish to know why we are here and not in Sundarsi.” She sat up and Bhalla smirked, nodding. “You’re not mad, are you?” “I wish to give birth in my kingdom and you brought me—”
“I brought you here only to show my father how happy you make me, my queen.” Bhalla interrupted gently, cradling her face. “I brought you here so that my wife would step foot in the palace, not just the Queen of Sundarsi. I brought the Empress of Mahishmati, the mother of my heir and my wife to Mahishmati. And I know I did no wrong.” Aarya stared at him, sighing softly as she moved closer to him, resting her back against his chest as he gently wrapped his arms around her, kissing her temple. She watched as he interlaced his fingers with hers, rubbing his thumb over her fingers as he raised her arm to kiss her fingertips.
“I still wish to give birth in Sundarsi, Bhalla.” She whispered, looking at him softly. “I know, my queen, and you will. Because as much as the child inside is mine, I’m glad you have a bigger claim on the little one.” He kissed her temple again, leaning lower to kiss the place her neck met her shoulder, running a soothing hand over her side.
Aarya smiled softly at his affection, nuzzling into him. “Who do you think it will be? A prince or a princess?” Bhalla chuckled at her question, kissing her cheek. “A warrior, like my wife.” Aarya blushed and giggled, shaking her head. “Your wife hasn’t been a warrior ever since she’s gotten a child inside her, you know. That’s a long time.”
Bhalla softly stared at Aarya and brushed a strand of hair out of her face. “This is also a battle you’re fighting, Aarya. Do you think I don’t notice the doubt and fear in your eyes every single second of the day? The worry, the insecurity, the troubled questions about yourself and this unborn little royal.”
He kissed her, pulling her closer as his hand ran over her back, making her sigh softly. “You’re the strongest woman I’ve had the pleasure of knowing my entire life, and I’m the son of Rajamata Sivagami. I’ve seen you govern your kingdom while on the run, care for me, yourself, our child, help Devasena rebuild her kingdom, not complain a single time about our conditions and push through all of it with the most graceful smile.” Bhalla caressed her face, resting his forehead against hers. “I’ve known women were the fiercest forces on this planet, but I only truly understood how strong after seeing you. I love everything about you, Aarya, and I’ll help in any way that I can to aid you in this internal battle of yours. And if I must take you to your kingdom, I shall.”
Aarya calmly stared at her husband through his monologue, a small smile playing on her lips as she realised just how much Bhalla changed in the last few months, a change even Devasena couldn’t believe despite seeing it with her own eyes.
Aarya kissed his forehead and smiled gently at him, cupping his face. “I’m so proud that my child has you as a father. Amarendra would be, as well.” Bhalla softened at her words, resting his head against hers as they simply basked in each other’s presence.
— — —
Aarya rested in Bhalla’s arms as they sailed to Sundarsi, and he gently rubbed her hips to soothe any of her pains. His father, who came to talk to him, saw him and fumed silently, turning and walking back to his room in the ship, pausing in front of the small statue of Durga Maa that was sailing along with them. “You… you made me bring that woman into our lives, haven’t you? Fine. I'll be the one to make sure she’s gone as well. Forever.”

I HATE Pushpa (the character)
Pushpa is a movie that was released during the pandemic and became a massive hit. Even Bollywood stars commented on the movie. The songs were memorable and the song Sooseki got around 100 million views even though the second movie hadn't released yet.
It seems South indian Cinema is getting more appreciated with films like Bhaubali, RRR and KGF Chapter 1/2 and Devara might even gain more attention due to Jr. Ntr's presence. (Which I'm super excited about I loved him ever since I was young, him and Ram charan were one of my favorites so RRR was a pleasant surprise)
I'm just disappointed that Pushpa's story is the one thats getting this attention.
Pushpa has good BGM, the setting is cool and cinematography can be considered good and Allu Arjun is always appreciated but the story is where it lacks.
Can I understand it? Yes, I've been watching TollyWood movies ever since I was 1. I was singing Gabbar Singh songs when I was a toddler. I understand what logic Tollywood tries portraying is it always right? No but its enjoyable and times were different we're evolving we want more complex and meaningful stories now Bahubali and RRR gaining attraction are examples that South Indian movie industry is evolving finally!
So imagine my disappointment when I see Pushpa the next great Tollywood film.
"Pushpa Raj is a self respecting young man who takes pride in his work. He works at a mill, but leaves it when his owner doesn't like his attitude outside of work. Pushpa goes for Red sandal wood cutting in the forest. Pushpa lives in a village with his mother Parvatamma, and is the illegitimate son of a local rich man." That is the story according to imbd.
You'd think the movie gives more context about Pushpa nope. IMBD really summed it all up and thats the problem. Pushpa's character can be summed up in a few words and there's not depth beyond those words in the movie itself.
The thing that makes this film detestable is the main character Pushpa he is not enjoyable whatsoever. It's like one of those Dark Romance ML's but they tried mixing in a few funny liners and tried making him a sunshine character as well but failed?
He's not funny I feel bad for his sidekick Kesava actually no. I like Kesava better than Pushpa Himself. He looks like he has actually meaning and depth he has relatable goals and is actually funny or seems to have some sort of personality. I wholeheartedly ship him and Srivalli's friend actually go Side characters!
Now lets compare 2 films Maari 2 and Pushpa which might seem random but let me explain
Maari in both the first one and the sequel was a gangster however do you know why i like him better than Pushpa? He has redeeming qualities he has morals like he kills bad people but doesn't want to sell drugs because he knows that can make innocent people succumb to horrible diseases like his best friend their situations are very different however Maari is seen as a morally gray character just like Pushpa is portrayed as. Maari also has morals when he kills beeja's brother for attempting to assault Anandhi's sister. He's doing something 'bad' killing a person but he essentially redeems it because of why he does it. He also gives good advice when she talks about no one wanting to marry her because she's ruined maari says she isn't an object to be ruined and its not wrong to wait how long to find a guy that understands that.
He's a troubled guy with not normal values but I can sympathize with him and actually root for him because he's a good person.
A more accurate example KGF Rocky is on a very similar path to Pushpa he only relied on his mother his whole life until she died while in Pushpa his mother and himself suffered humiliation. Pushpa was often beat up Rocky was also beat probably even more. They both started at the streets and slowly climbed up wanting money and power. Pushpa only smuggled and framed and fought. Rocky outright killed but I still like him better than Pushpa do you know why?
Because he has character Rocky's backstory is more compelling wanting to fulfill his dying mother's wishes of not wanting her son to die miserably without money like her even if it meant becoming a bad person? Hell yeah. Also similar to maari he has limits he has certain morals, clear cut morals. in the first KGF movie he outright stops traffic for a mother and her son who wanted to get some food but were unable to because of the traffic and gave her hard advice. That the world isn't gonna stop for you its harsh and not lenient and that we need to MAKE it stop. We have to put in the work and not just hope someone will always come along. This gives us insight into his views further developing his character.
Pushpa's story is he was an outcast because he was an illegitimate son and was unable to have his father's last name? So he makes his name Pushpa Raj. He disrespects his mother despite her being the only one there for him and just usually disregards her. He has too much Pride. He doesn't have much regard for women as we see when he gives his shirt to Jaali's victim.
And the thing is all of these problems could be fixed if we saw more into his character which we're only given bits and pieces of.
Pushpa isn't close to his mother? Maybe its because he blames her for all the prejudice but still cares for her somewhere in his heart which is seen through the light interactions between the two in the movie. He has too much Pride? well he feels like thats his right because he was denied everything else his father's name, money, and even necklace. He doesn't have regard for women much? Even that can be fixed like in the movie 'temper' where Jr Ntr's character first doesn't care much for other women ends up willing to give his life for them he gets character development. Pushpa could not really see a big deal in Jaali's activities until he's confronted with one of the victims himself and is reminded of the women in his life and starts to detest Jalli which ultimately bursts when Jaali sets his eyes on Srivalli.
Everything I said you can mostly think about happening in the movie but its like a real stretch you have to really put your mind on it to see it happening in the canon of the Pushpa universe its nots showed to us the viewers like in other movies we don't get clear cut shots of these narratives I spoke up being played out. Its what makes these movies lively or entertaining in my opinion because they had depth which is enhanced due to the main character himself.
So see this from my perspective a MAN is able to outsmart the police and insult them, illegally get sandal wood, Act like and arrogant bastard through most of this move, have so much intelligence out of nowhere and still gets a girl?
Reena has more personality than Srivalli I'm actually gonna begin stanning her after this.
And when I say a MAN I mean a MAN because the person Pushpa on my screen is a stranger to me I don't get a clear feel of his character or any connection to him.
I really hope these issues are rectified in the second movie but I have my doubts. Pushpa as a movie feels like a regression for Tollywood and I don't want that for my cinema industry which I know has flaws but I also know that its healing and has really good stories.
Anyways to all Indian movie lovers out hope you're excited for Devara because I sure am. Jr. Ntr in double roles? Its like Adhurs all over again. And one of his roles seems really cute too, I've wanted to see Jr Ntr in action again for a long time.
But thats all for now
Yours truly
Roselle🪷

sometimes i think over the lack of cunty period dramas (ala the borgias 2011 esque) in our country then i immediately get reminded over the time where members from a certain party publically demanded they wanted deepika padukone killed over showing a hint of her tummy in the movie that must not be named and then i cope and accept. we will never get cunty period dramas.

Masterlist
(A/N- it's been a long long looooong time eh? apologies for the delay, I just had a massive brain block. so this one's for you! also happy new year guys, all the love to you.
~juhi <3)
Aarya woke up feeling refreshed, her heart light surprisingly. She knew she was surrounded by the enemy force who was waiting for her to make the wrong move but the only thing she could focus on was the fact that she was getting married to a man she thought she hated until a few days ago, and suddenly she couldn’t imagine her life without. Her akandas glowed a dull grey as the sunlight fell on them, and she frowned as she picked them up. “That doesn’t seem right.” She murmured as the dull grey enveloped her hand, spreading chills to every part of her that they touched.
She shrugged as she set them down and freshened up, walking out of her room.
The servants greeted her with immense respect, their eyes shining with something akin to fear and disbelief as she strolled past them all. “Where’s Bhalla?” She turned and asked, making one of the servants step away uneasily. “Er, His Majesty is still in his room. But we advise you not-” “I’ll get him out then, thank you.”
Aarya waltzed to Bhalla’s room, knocking twice and walking in after she heard no response. She looked around, frowning when she didn’t spot him. “Bhalla!” She called out, her frown deepening as she saw no sign of him. She exhaled, twisting the ring on her finger when a voice rang in the room, “At your service.”
Aarya’s breath hitched, turning around as she saw Bhalla step out of his washroom, hair wet and his loincloth clinging around his waist loosely. Steam came off his body, making him suddenly look all the more like a God. Her face flushed violently as she took a step back, turning away when her knee hit a table, making her buckle. Bhalla surged forward, wrapping his arm around her waist to steady her as he smirked down at her. “Instead of falling because of things, fall for me next time, will you?”
She just rolled her eyes, trying to stop the blood rushing to her cheeks as he stepped closer to her. “You have to- oh!” She slipped again as her knees gave out because of the bed behind her and she fell onto it, looking up as Bhalla placed both his arms on either side of her. Her eyes widened and he leaned in to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear, his eyes dropping to her lips. “Your face is red, you’re sweating in my room and it’s generally cold this time of the year in Mahishmati. Is this because of me?”
“No,” Aarya huffed, her eyes falling shut as Bhalla nuzzled his head into the crook of her neck, his warm breath tickling her. “I’m still not used to your kingdom. Sundarsi is so much colder than here, in case you haven’t noticed.” “Is that so?” He murmured into her skin, tracing his fingers across her waist and revelling in her shivers. “I haven’t noticed, really. I was focused… elsewhere.”
“Flattery won’t get you anywhere.” Bhalla looked up for a moment, his eyes twinkling as they raked over her hungrily. “I have you on my bed now without flattering you, Aarya. Do you want me to start flattery now?” His hand on Aarya’s bare back slipped up, toying with the strings of her blouse while Aarya tried in vain to push him away. “Behave yourself, will you? This isn’t right.”
“You’re mine, and this is something everyone knows now. If people question my actions and affections I’ll serve their heads to you on a golden platter.” A smile crept on her face, still trying to get distance between both of them. “Although,” Bhalla pulled away, a smirk on his face when Aarya tried to fight the frown off her face. “I like listening to you, and you told me to behave.”
He got off the bed and pulled her to her feet, smirking at her visible anger. “What brings you over to my room? Is there anything not right with the services? I could-” “No, it’s none of that,” Aarya interrupted him, her eyes darting around his room as she walked around, all of her interest suddenly on the intricate works on the walls. “I was just… I wanted to see you and your kingdom, and who better to show me the place than you?”
Bhalla’s face softened as he observed her, a smile making its way onto his face as he waltzed over to her. “You needn’t ask, I’ll show you my kingdom. Come, get ready and I’ll show you everything.” He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and she smiled, brushing past him to leave his room.
His eyes locked on the akanda she left by his bedside, frowning at its dull grey glow as he picked it up, studying it. “Kattappa!” The general walked in, bowing to Bhalla who continued to study the stone. “I want you to do something for me.”
— — —
Bhalla waited in the stables, pacing around as he waited for Aarya to arrive, when Kattappa approached him with a frown. “Something is wrong in Sundarsi, Your Majesty. And it seems all the priests of their temples are worried about it, because whatever is happening over there, it’s not their doing. Either that, or someone is forcing an insider to do something.”
Bhalla’s frown deepened as he watched Kattappa put out the akandas, whose glow got weaker, flickering dark grey. “When a Sundarsi citizen uses their stones, they glow as white as the moon. Sometimes, the glow could change, but they never felt cool to touch when being used, or turned grey. It has started since their queen has come here, and now their general wants her back in Sundarsi.”
“What’s going on?”
The men looked up, watching Aarya walk in with a frown on her face. “Is there something wrong, Bhalla?” He shook his head, stepping forward and holding his hand out for her to take. He spared Kattappa a final glance as he shoved the stones out of her view while Bhalla helped Aarya onto a horse.
“Come now, let me show you my world.”
— — —
Hushed whispers echoed in the halls as Aarya swatted Bhalla’s wandering hands away, glaring fleetingly at him while he rolled his eyes, following her. “It was supposed to be a tour around your kingdom, Bhalla, not an opportunity for you to-” “I know, my queen. You don’t have to scold me so much.” He stared at her strutting figure and scoffed silently, his glare shifting to the soldiers guarding the halls. “Even my mother didn’t scold me the way you always do.”
“Well then, you better get used to this, my king. You’ll get an earful daily if you don’t mend your ways after we wed.” Bhalla smirked, opening his mouth when Aarya yelled out in shock, her bracelet snapping off and falling. The akanda at the very centre shattered in the air as the pieces fell to the ground, black as the night. Aarya held her wrist, wincing as Bhalla rushed to her, cradling her hand delicately in his while they stared at the broken stone in concern.
“This- this has never happened before,” Aarya mumbled, her eyes frantic as they looked to Bhalla, “Our stones are the strongest, this is not supposed to happen, Bhalla, what’s going on? This is a very bad omen, have I gone wrong anywhere?”
He shushed her, bringing her closer while Kattappa ran into the hall, eyes wide. “Your Majesties, please follow me.” They followed him as they all entered the courtroom, seeing the officials of Sundarsi present too.
Anjasi and Sadhana bowed, their frowns evident as they made way for the head priest to approach Aarya. “Your Majesty, there’s someone here to see you.” He said gravely, guiding Aarya and Bhalla to the palace doors. “Guruji, what’s happening? The akandas, they’re not supposed to-”
“Perhaps,” He sighed, staring at the man who walked through the doors of Bhalla’s palace, “he is your answer.”
Aarya turned, her face turning pale as she stared, the man kneeling down in front of her. Bhalla observed as the man kneeling took Aarya’s hand in his, bringing it to his forehead while the others filled the hall. Anjasi and Sadhana watched him with uncertainty, their grip on their weapons tight while Aarya pulled her hand away, stepping back.
“I apologise for keeping you waiting all these years, Your Majesty,” Rudra said, looking up at Aarya as though her eyes held all the answers in the universe. “But now, I have returned to make you mine again.”

Just realized that the entire Bahubali movie franchise is the live action reenactment of Disney's Lion King first movie with some tollywood masala mixed in.

Receiver....Author: "Hello? Yes, okay. Thank you for the request!! This psycho is definitely a fan favourite and I love him so much!"
Receiver....Synopsis: "The beauty of Heranshi was it's princess and upon seeing a portrait of her painted by a villager from Heranshi, the elder prince of Maheshmati falls for her after seeing her portrait.."
Receiver....warnings: "Hello? Okay, not many warnings, but Bhallaldeva is probably a bit tamer here since he's not so much behind Devsena so he doesn't feel like he's losing another thing to Bahubali, so he's a bit tamer and not so much after the throne now| Reader mentioned to have siblings and mentions of pregnancy| He's a bit OOC|| Part 2: Nsfw"

✤ Bhalleldeva is a man of refined taste as one would say, he's a royal and the elder son of Rajamatha Shivgami Devi and a crown prince. Of-curse he's known for his lavish tastes. He wanted the throne, but couldn't get it. So when Shivgami Devi sent him away for, he got delighted as it gave him a chance to earn the throne back.
✤ While Bahubali was away, Bhalladeva indulged himself in different things, drinks, games, fights and especially women..when one day, as he was having fun with drinks, he overheard a few of the noble men's servants talking about an apsara from Heranshi, "Have you seen her hair??", "So black and so long, perfect for a lady of her title" compliments after compliments poured from their mouths for the so called princess.
✤ And one thing led to another and he got the foreign nobleman to pain a picture of the so called apsara, he was curious, he couldn't lie..and he could see why people of your empire loved you so much, you were so gorgeous with your long hair, gorgeous eyes, and stories of your kindness and more only encourage his sudden infatuation with you.
✤ He told his mum on accident how much he had begun liking you, and she excitedly call for a meeting after Bahubali returned for a while and they visited Heranshi for a while and met with the king and queen, both of them glad to meet the great Shivgami Devi, and her sons, Bhallalldeva and Bahubali.
✤ They were invited by the king and queen for a festival and you held a dance performance as the princess of your empire and he was star struck, Bahubali would smirk and nudge Bhallaldeva's shoulders and tease him about being obsessed with you before even knowing your name, as Bhalladeva would push him away as he giggled softly.
✤ You and your siblings were introduced to Bahubali and Bhallaldeva and he got to know your name, Y/N, and he was swooning, you were even prettier up close..he could barely hold himself up and he swear to god he felt his knees buckle underneath his weight as you smiled at him.
✤ After a lot of talk, you and Bhalladeva were to be put into an arranged marriage and so he started courting you, he would bring your extremely gorgeous pendents and jewellery; anklets, armbands, earrings, necklaces, nose rings, bracelets, dress belts, expensive clothing, some even bejewelled with gold and stuff.
✤ Flowers, gifts, statues, portraits, expensive clothing, spoiling you with food you liked, jewellery you enjoyed beaded with your birth stones or gemstones, diamonds, gold, silver, platinum and so much more. He would gift them to you and though you found it a bit too extravagant, your parents were happy you had gotten such a wealthy and rich fiancee for yourself.
✤ He knows he's conceited, a bit cruel, a bit of a sadist and if we're being honest, not a fit person for someone as kind and gorgeous as you. So he had to suck up SO MUCH pride and go to Bahubali for advice or Kattappa if hes EXTREMELY desperate and ask them for advice and actually takes some things into consideration even if he thinks Bahubali just talks his brain and word vomits whenever he speaks.
✤ Bahubali actually thinks this engagement between you two is pretty beneficial, not only for the alliance of empires, but also to build his relationship with Bhallaldeva. And he is pretty happy to do so with his brother, even if he doesn't like his brother a lot.
✤ Bhalladeva and you would be sitting like eating lunch or dinner and he would listen to whatever it is you have to say if you're more talktative and if he's the more talkative one, he'd be trying to tell you as much as he can about the books he read, stories of his childhood, about himself, about his empire, Maheshmati, to you while you listen with interest. If you're both a bit closer at this point, you both might even feed each other.
✤ Eventually he did have to go back, but you got your parents to send you with him to Maheshmati for a while to see how living there would be like while Bahubali headed back to see Devsena with Kattapa.
✤ You and Bhalladeva got certainly a lot of time together, you did not like his father Bijjaladeva a lot who sneered at you, but you didn't say anything to Bhalladeva because you did not want to be disrespectful to him and his family, especially not his mum, who come to like you a lot...But after a while, Bhalladeva did catch the uncomfortability you got around his dad and asked you once while you both laid in his bed.
✤ You did eventually speak your mind out a bit, trying to be as respectful as possible, ready to be kicked out or whatever..but he sighed, internally he knew you'd be creeped out by his dad's weird, not because of his weird body stature, but rather by his scheming, sort of evil intended nature..He calmed you down, promise to protect you...and talked to his dad about it as well.
✤ Simply to say, his dad was not happy and did try to scheme your death, but he shut it down and gave a stern talking to his dad. While you and him slowly got closer and closer, until Bahubali came back with more news that he liked Devsena and the two fell in love and stuff, it was pretty rushed, but him and Devsena seemed closer than anything.
✤ You and Bhalladeva's marriage was first and since you were quite beloved for your kind, generous and wealthy reign in your family's empire, people welcomed you with open arms. As you and him got married in a lavish wedding, your mother cried.
✤ During your marriage, let's say they still had the shoe stealing tradition, and so your sisters stole Bhalladeva's shoes which were so huge compared to them, and they had to be extra tricky, they stole the shoes when he removed them and he couldn't even feel bad cause you were laughing softly, looking so pretty.
✤ It was a good bonding moments and he did give your sisters huge sum of money to get his shoes back as your sisters, you, Bahubali, your close families laughed gently, and you were accepted into the family by Shivgami Devi immediately.
✤ Bhalladeva did complain to you about how he wanted the throne and stuff, but trying to a form a relationship with you, advice on relationships and stuff all came from Bahubali and so the two formed a bond, he became more interested in spending time with you rather than running an empire and besides, his mum's judgement never went wrong.
✤ You thought he showered you with gifts before, he showered you with gifts and affection even more after marriage, constant kisses, constant spending time together with him reading you old stories of Mahesmati or Heranshi..whatever he can get.
✤ Both getting palmistry to see your future in marriage and he did not wish to tell you anything, no matter how much you demanded it. He definitely became more mellowed out and calmer after your marriage, constant affection in private, though in public, his hand is always around yours. People of Maheshmati think it's rather adorable and servants even more so.
✤ He sometimes has you watch his fights with Bijjaladeva, him sometimes making back-handed compliments which you threw back with equally sassy yet respectable comments which made Bhalladeva laughed, though he tried not to show it.
✤ You know in the first week of marriage, Bahubali was sitting on the floor with kid's toys and you bent down and held his chin and kissed his forehead like a mum and you both go so confused cause he called you mum on accident after that and Bhalladeva instantly though you both were drunk...
✤ Apparently Bahubali is your babyboy brother too. And you were so incredibly happy for him as his marriage was done to such a gorgeous girl which you definitely teased him about as he giggled like a babygirl, while Bhalladeva glared at Bahubali.
✤ He has portraits painted of you and he gets pissed off if they don't portray your beauty exactly as he sees it, whenever after a puja he gets prashad, he feeds it to you first before eating it himself, same of taking the puja from the diya, he does it to you first before himself.
✤ Very protective and possessive, his murderous tendencies do jump back in when some man or lady tries to disrespect you, he has threatened and maybe killed hurt some people, not that he will tell you.
✤ Always decorating you with stuff you have in your closet after a day because it's a way he relaxes, seeing you dolled up and pretty, as it's tiring for you, since you have to take off so many heavy gold, diamond, gemstone and silver and other jewellery.
✤ It won't be too long before you do get pregnant, if you want NSFW headcanons...that's another thing, request it and maybe I'll do it. Maybe add in some scenarios for this too, fluffy ones though.
✤ But seriously, you do get pregnant pretty quickly, cause man he's a..how to say, he desperately insatiable guy and he thinks you'd look gorgeous while pregnant, and have children with your looks who he thinks will be absolute beauties on earth.
✤ During his and Bahubali's coronation, you calmed his nerves and told him it's fine to be a commander of arms right beside the emperor too and Bahubali thanked you immensely for it that his relationship with Bhalladeva was healed and not torn apart for the throne. He took the oath as Devsena made you sit with her, since she was cooing to your pregnant belly the entire time and congratulating you
✤ Speaking of Devsena, you and her literally become best-friends, especially after her and Bahubali's marriage and she gets pregnant not too long after you, brothers are not so different after all.
✤ But before she was pregnant, she gifted you so many things and you gifted her so many things from your empire, Heranshi as well. You and her took so much time with each other that after a while the brother's got jealous of each other's wife for having so much attention of their wife on the other's wife...yeah..
✤ Overall, pretty cute marriage, he's head over heels, loves you, obsessed with you, kills for you, dies for you, decorates you and loves your kids a lot.
