|: The apsara in the portrait...
Receiver....Author: "Hello? Yes, okay. Thank you for the request!! This psycho is definitely a fan favourite and I love him so much!"
Receiver....Synopsis: "The beauty of Heranshi was it's princess and upon seeing a portrait of her painted by a villager from Heranshi, the elder prince of Maheshmati falls for her after seeing her portrait.."
Receiver....warnings: "Hello? Okay, not many warnings, but Bhallaldeva is probably a bit tamer here since he's not so much behind Devsena so he doesn't feel like he's losing another thing to Bahubali, so he's a bit tamer and not so much after the throne now| Reader mentioned to have siblings and mentions of pregnancy| He's a bit OOC|| Part 2: Nsfw"
✤ Bhalleldeva is a man of refined taste as one would say, he's a royal and the elder son of Rajamatha Shivgami Devi and a crown prince. Of-curse he's known for his lavish tastes. He wanted the throne, but couldn't get it. So when Shivgami Devi sent him away for, he got delighted as it gave him a chance to earn the throne back.
✤ While Bahubali was away, Bhalladeva indulged himself in different things, drinks, games, fights and especially women..when one day, as he was having fun with drinks, he overheard a few of the noble men's servants talking about an apsara from Heranshi, "Have you seen her hair??", "So black and so long, perfect for a lady of her title" compliments after compliments poured from their mouths for the so called princess.
✤ And one thing led to another and he got the foreign nobleman to pain a picture of the so called apsara, he was curious, he couldn't lie..and he could see why people of your empire loved you so much, you were so gorgeous with your long hair, gorgeous eyes, and stories of your kindness and more only encourage his sudden infatuation with you.
✤ He told his mum on accident how much he had begun liking you, and she excitedly call for a meeting after Bahubali returned for a while and they visited Heranshi for a while and met with the king and queen, both of them glad to meet the great Shivgami Devi, and her sons, Bhallalldeva and Bahubali.
✤ They were invited by the king and queen for a festival and you held a dance performance as the princess of your empire and he was star struck, Bahubali would smirk and nudge Bhallaldeva's shoulders and tease him about being obsessed with you before even knowing your name, as Bhalladeva would push him away as he giggled softly.
✤ You and your siblings were introduced to Bahubali and Bhallaldeva and he got to know your name, Y/N, and he was swooning, you were even prettier up close..he could barely hold himself up and he swear to god he felt his knees buckle underneath his weight as you smiled at him.
✤ After a lot of talk, you and Bhalladeva were to be put into an arranged marriage and so he started courting you, he would bring your extremely gorgeous pendents and jewellery; anklets, armbands, earrings, necklaces, nose rings, bracelets, dress belts, expensive clothing, some even bejewelled with gold and stuff.
✤ Flowers, gifts, statues, portraits, expensive clothing, spoiling you with food you liked, jewellery you enjoyed beaded with your birth stones or gemstones, diamonds, gold, silver, platinum and so much more. He would gift them to you and though you found it a bit too extravagant, your parents were happy you had gotten such a wealthy and rich fiancee for yourself.
✤ He knows he's conceited, a bit cruel, a bit of a sadist and if we're being honest, not a fit person for someone as kind and gorgeous as you. So he had to suck up SO MUCH pride and go to Bahubali for advice or Kattappa if hes EXTREMELY desperate and ask them for advice and actually takes some things into consideration even if he thinks Bahubali just talks his brain and word vomits whenever he speaks.
✤ Bahubali actually thinks this engagement between you two is pretty beneficial, not only for the alliance of empires, but also to build his relationship with Bhallaldeva. And he is pretty happy to do so with his brother, even if he doesn't like his brother a lot.
✤ Bhalladeva and you would be sitting like eating lunch or dinner and he would listen to whatever it is you have to say if you're more talktative and if he's the more talkative one, he'd be trying to tell you as much as he can about the books he read, stories of his childhood, about himself, about his empire, Maheshmati, to you while you listen with interest. If you're both a bit closer at this point, you both might even feed each other.
✤ Eventually he did have to go back, but you got your parents to send you with him to Maheshmati for a while to see how living there would be like while Bahubali headed back to see Devsena with Kattapa.
✤ You and Bhalladeva got certainly a lot of time together, you did not like his father Bijjaladeva a lot who sneered at you, but you didn't say anything to Bhalladeva because you did not want to be disrespectful to him and his family, especially not his mum, who come to like you a lot...But after a while, Bhalladeva did catch the uncomfortability you got around his dad and asked you once while you both laid in his bed.
✤ You did eventually speak your mind out a bit, trying to be as respectful as possible, ready to be kicked out or whatever..but he sighed, internally he knew you'd be creeped out by his dad's weird, not because of his weird body stature, but rather by his scheming, sort of evil intended nature..He calmed you down, promise to protect you...and talked to his dad about it as well.
✤ Simply to say, his dad was not happy and did try to scheme your death, but he shut it down and gave a stern talking to his dad. While you and him slowly got closer and closer, until Bahubali came back with more news that he liked Devsena and the two fell in love and stuff, it was pretty rushed, but him and Devsena seemed closer than anything.
✤ You and Bhalladeva's marriage was first and since you were quite beloved for your kind, generous and wealthy reign in your family's empire, people welcomed you with open arms. As you and him got married in a lavish wedding, your mother cried.
✤ During your marriage, let's say they still had the shoe stealing tradition, and so your sisters stole Bhalladeva's shoes which were so huge compared to them, and they had to be extra tricky, they stole the shoes when he removed them and he couldn't even feel bad cause you were laughing softly, looking so pretty.
✤ It was a good bonding moments and he did give your sisters huge sum of money to get his shoes back as your sisters, you, Bahubali, your close families laughed gently, and you were accepted into the family by Shivgami Devi immediately.
✤ Bhalladeva did complain to you about how he wanted the throne and stuff, but trying to a form a relationship with you, advice on relationships and stuff all came from Bahubali and so the two formed a bond, he became more interested in spending time with you rather than running an empire and besides, his mum's judgement never went wrong.
✤ You thought he showered you with gifts before, he showered you with gifts and affection even more after marriage, constant kisses, constant spending time together with him reading you old stories of Mahesmati or Heranshi..whatever he can get.
✤ Both getting palmistry to see your future in marriage and he did not wish to tell you anything, no matter how much you demanded it. He definitely became more mellowed out and calmer after your marriage, constant affection in private, though in public, his hand is always around yours. People of Maheshmati think it's rather adorable and servants even more so.
✤ He sometimes has you watch his fights with Bijjaladeva, him sometimes making back-handed compliments which you threw back with equally sassy yet respectable comments which made Bhalladeva laughed, though he tried not to show it.
✤ You know in the first week of marriage, Bahubali was sitting on the floor with kid's toys and you bent down and held his chin and kissed his forehead like a mum and you both go so confused cause he called you mum on accident after that and Bhalladeva instantly though you both were drunk...
✤ Apparently Bahubali is your babyboy brother too. And you were so incredibly happy for him as his marriage was done to such a gorgeous girl which you definitely teased him about as he giggled like a babygirl, while Bhalladeva glared at Bahubali.
✤ He has portraits painted of you and he gets pissed off if they don't portray your beauty exactly as he sees it, whenever after a puja he gets prashad, he feeds it to you first before eating it himself, same of taking the puja from the diya, he does it to you first before himself.
✤ Very protective and possessive, his murderous tendencies do jump back in when some man or lady tries to disrespect you, he has threatened and maybe killed hurt some people, not that he will tell you.
✤ Always decorating you with stuff you have in your closet after a day because it's a way he relaxes, seeing you dolled up and pretty, as it's tiring for you, since you have to take off so many heavy gold, diamond, gemstone and silver and other jewellery.
✤ It won't be too long before you do get pregnant, if you want NSFW headcanons...that's another thing, request it and maybe I'll do it. Maybe add in some scenarios for this too, fluffy ones though.
✤ But seriously, you do get pregnant pretty quickly, cause man he's a..how to say, he desperately insatiable guy and he thinks you'd look gorgeous while pregnant, and have children with your looks who he thinks will be absolute beauties on earth.
✤ During his and Bahubali's coronation, you calmed his nerves and told him it's fine to be a commander of arms right beside the emperor too and Bahubali thanked you immensely for it that his relationship with Bhalladeva was healed and not torn apart for the throne. He took the oath as Devsena made you sit with her, since she was cooing to your pregnant belly the entire time and congratulating you
✤ Speaking of Devsena, you and her literally become best-friends, especially after her and Bahubali's marriage and she gets pregnant not too long after you, brothers are not so different after all.
✤ But before she was pregnant, she gifted you so many things and you gifted her so many things from your empire, Heranshi as well. You and her took so much time with each other that after a while the brother's got jealous of each other's wife for having so much attention of their wife on the other's wife...yeah..
✤ Overall, pretty cute marriage, he's head over heels, loves you, obsessed with you, kills for you, dies for you, decorates you and loves your kids a lot.

Na Rani-Kaz x desi! fem!reader
This fic might not be everyone’s cup of tea as it is directed to Desi readers, i’ve written it from a telugu reader’s perspective, but this is a desi reader, i have not described the reader though, so read it if you want to! contains spoilers for the epic Bahubali movies!
warnings: spoilers, some swearing ig, this is a modern au, so technology and tv exist, this is years into Kaz and reader’s relationship, so he’s comfortable with touch around her. this is pretty short and ngl pretty self-indulgent, i forgot the order of events in the movies, so they may be wrong, killing(part of movie)
tagging: @sirisuorionblack @confuscita @staytrueblue
“ So, angel, what are we watching today?” Kaz asked, settling down on the sofa next to you.
Grinning, you search up the title ‘Bahubali’ on the tv and a movie pops up.
“ Ba-hu-ba-lee?” Kaz butchers the name of the movie
“ Kaz, I know people call you a cold-blooded murdered but please don’t butcher the name of the movie, it hasn’t done anything to you, it’s Bahubali” you emphasize each syllable so you’re boyfriend understands.
“Uh huh, so what’s it about?” he reads the little explanation of the movie under the title, his eyes squinted, “ sounds interesting, let’s watch it!”
“ I’m putting subtitles for you, cause this is in telugu and you can’t understand most of the language.”
“ But I know telugu!” he whines, already eating popcorn.
“ Jaan, the only words you know are ‘yadava, picchoda and gaadida!(idiot, fool and donkey).
“ Fine. put the movie on, with subtitles.” he has an adorable pout on his face.
You peck his lips, causing him to blush, before starting the movie.
>~>~>~>~>~>~>
“ That.. is the most honourable death I have ever seen!” Kaz comments, his eyes wide as the body of the woman in the river is washed away.
“ I know right! Keep watching, that lady is epic!” you agree, eyes not leaving the screen.
~?~?~?~?~?~?~
“ The girl reminds me of you.” Kaz says, referring to Avantika, a warrior princess who is also the love interest.
“ You flatter me darling, keep watching.” you kiss his jaw.
>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
“ Wait so, Shivudu is the queen’s nephew and she adopts him?”
“ Yes! Kaz this scene is the reason I love the queen Shivagami, pay attention!!”
Kaz eyes follow the lady in the purple saree, walking towards the group of men.
(ugh i love this lady so much)
And when she manages to kill a man, with a baby in her hand, and managing to calm down said baby in ten seconds he begins to clap, and you join in.
“She’s my favourite.” Kaz confirms, his chin resting on you’re head as you curl into him.
“ She’s everyone’s favourite Kaz.” you murmur.
“SHE’S SITTING ON THE THRONE, WITH BLOOD ON HER FACE AND A BABY IN HER ARMS, SHE JUST KILLED A FEW MEN, THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF EPIC RIGHT NOW!” you shriek, arms in the air, scattering popcorn everywhere.
“ I know love, calm down.” Kaz pulls you back into his arms, kissing the top of you’re head.
“BUT LOOK-”
~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
As the main character, chops a man’s head off, you put your forefingers in you’re mouth and whistle loudly, startling Kaz.
“ What?”
“ Stop startling me!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“ WAIT THE BALD GUY KILLED BAHUBALI! PUT THE SECOND ONE NOW! I HAVE TO WATCH IT~”
“ Kaz, it’s two in the morning-”
“ I am watching the second one, screw my sleep schedule. You can go tp bed angel.”
“ and let you have the fun? No thank you, put it on.”
~?~?~?~>?~?~?~>~?~?~>~?~>~?~
Thump! Thump!
You bang your fists to your thighs in beat to the song. “ Saahore Bahubali”, singing along.
Kaz stares at you, his mouth open wide. He knew you could sing, but you singing so beautifully, you’re eyes closed, hand up to your ear, other hand extended outwards, swaying from side to side, he thanked whatever saint was up there you existed.
As the song ended, he kissed your cheeks, from behind, making you smile and blush, hiding your face between your palms.
“ Awww my angel is blushing!” he teased, poking your side playfully.
Swatting him away, you laugh and gesture to the tv, “ Watch jaan.”
>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~>~
“ That’s why? that’s why he was killed? really? ugh that’s sad.” Kaz said as the credits rolled, the movie ending.
“ So what have we learnt jaan?” you ask.
“ Don’t stay up until five in the morning on a work day.” Kaz deadpans.
“ No silly, it’s that Sivagami is our queen, don’t mess with her.” you conclude, getting up and stretching your arms.
Kaz holds your waist and pulls you back onto the sofa, “ Na rani Sivagami kadu, nuvu. Nuvu na rani.”(Sivagami is not my queen, you are) he says in his accented telugu, and with that his lips are on yours and you forget about everything, because to him, you were his queen. You might not have been the queen of Mahishmati, but you were the queen of the Barrel, and you were safe in the arms of the king.
AHH UR LAST POST WAS SO ADORABLE I NEED BHALLADEVA FLUFFY NSFW HEADCANONS OR ILL GO CRAZY
|: The apasara in his arms...
Receiver....Author: "Hello, Yeah..due to popular wishes, I'm doing NSFW headcanons for this hot psycho. Again, this continues on from the last timeline of the last Bhalladeva post."
Receiver....Synopsis: "The apsara that was Bhalladeva's wife and one of the crown princess of Maheshmati, beloved by people, has an insatiable husband...just some moments with them.."
Receiver....Warnings: " Fingering, corruption kink (a little bit), mating press, size kink, unprotected sex (don't do it), nipple play, dacryphilia, bulge kink, finger fucking.| Fem! reader.||NSFW. ||Minors DNI.|| don't tell anyone I wrote this, I won't ask why you like this psycho, but I get it, he's hot|| Continuation from the last post.|| A bit OOC|| He's a bit tamer here and has a somewhat good relationship with Bahubali and doesn't like Devsena|| प्राचीन: ancient, for those who don't know Hindi."
☪ It was probably a bit before your wedding that he found his eyes wandering your body a bit too long nowadays, a bit too perverted thoughts in his mind, how he wanted to squeeze you so tight and something more...not that he would do anything you didn't want, that's no way into your heart, as Bahubali said....apparently, Bhallaldeva doesn't listen to Bahubali a lot...
☪ And he was a bit affectionate sure, holding your hands when you're both together and during, as you both watch over the empire or as he feeds you while staring at you hopelessly and disgustingly in love. Or he has you sleep in his room (if it's permitted) and snuggled against you so close.
☪ After the wedding, it was all hell loose, if you're there, he's there and either right beside you or under you as you sit on his lap or around five feet from you, because he refuses to be far...Something he realized he's a touch starved, of-course he won't know this, but if you catch on, pretty nice for him.
☪ Tell me in my eyes that you don't think he doesn't have a size kink...Like the mans the size of a bull, you saw that bull fighting scene! You don't think he doesn't get aroused when he sees your tiny self, cause no matter how tall, you're short to him.
☪ say, there was probably a period, he felt you against him as he held your hips to help you lift or something and he realized how light you are...? Well, compared to him, you are. He could so easily pick you and fold you and that sent some ideas in his head, while you innocently did your task. He feels bad for having a dirty mind while you weren't doing anything, but again..he thinks you'd look gorgeous in a position like that
☪ And let's admit, it won't be too long before he actually had you underneath him, he's charismatic in some areas, okay?? And being honest, it's probably a bit of his first time too...but he'll softly moving his fingers in and out of your cunt, his face showing he was slightly embarrassed, a bit shy..but very fascinated.
☪ You did have to direct him a bit, but it's like natural talent that he improves so much, your legs are shaking by him fingering you to orgasm 2 times...Before he actually hoped you'd be able to take him, even if he enjoy the sight of you struggling to take him, his fingers enjoying rubbing circles on your clit...he finds it cutely entertaining...
☪ He enjoys scanning you, taking his time in undressing you as he smirks and simply stares up and down, it's his natural habit...taking his time in drinking your appearance. When you are finally vulnerable and naked, he'll take his time even then to tease you a bit, while his hands softly held your hips or gently strokes your nipples, softly pulling at the buds at times, or gently touching your clit to feel the wetness gather there..
☪ He thinks it's fun to see the innocence go away from you, corrupting your innocent mind a bit, while he pressed his knee near your head and fucking you gently for the first two to three times, until he lets loose and it always ends with you not being able leave the bed for a day or two. He apologizes a bit after you're both done, but he genuinely feels proud of himself for being able to do that...he would rub it in Bahubali's face if not for Bahubali having Devsena...
☪ It's the cutest sight in his eyes, watching your cry, struggle to take him while you slowly and softly started loosing your innocence as he pressed himself in you, feeling the bulge in your stomach...Or one finger softly finger pressing on your tongue, down your throat, almost choking you, but it's mostly to quieten any noises from you both to not alert anyone.
☪ Though he tries to quieten you, it's no use, the sound of skin, slapping and squelching is loud enough to alert all the guards and the ladies and servants outside...most of you're regular maids not even being able to have eye contact with you..which makes for a funny, but extremely awkward atmosphere the next day as they get you ready and stuff..
☪ Speaking of, he has a breeding kink, which should be obvious, since most of the time sex is used for creating babies. So, being honest, sex only started as a way for you both to have kids, and then he just got hooked and couldn't stop the feeling...eventually did ask a doctor how to make sure you're not pregnant after doing it...got told to just pull out, something stressful in his head.. and quite devastating too...
☪ But again, rough sex is a way for him to also release anger, stress, jealousy or anything in between...it's also a good way to makeup after an argument. Bahubali talked to you for three seconds too long? Sex. Devena complain and argued wit him, even if he was the one in the wrong? Sex. His mum didn't give him enough presents? Sex. His mum took you away for too long? Sex. A guard stared at you for a .8 second too long? The guard is murdered and sex.
☪ I would say sex is like a glue, but actually it's more like a necessity at this point, like eating and breathing to Bhalladeva...which is just weird, his mum does eventually put him on a sex ban...And you do end up getting pregnant a bit too quickly after marriage...it's no surprise really, but if you don't? It's fine...Bhallaldeva does not care for kids, and certainly is not happy with having them..but for you it's different, but he likes being like a wine uncle...if wine uncle was a प्राचीन prince who was a bit of a nepo baby type guy.
The Interesting Perspective
Synopsis: In the heart of Hyderabad, Y/n tends to her grandmother's antique store, a time capsule hiding stories of the past. Her routine is disrupted when she joins friends to watch the movie "Baahubali," a decision that is set to have an unremovable stain on her life.
1.7k Words
Prev || All || Next
In the vibrant and bustling streets of Hyderabad, India, nestled amidst the chaos of modernity, there existed a quaint and almost forgotten treasure trove of history. It was a little antique store with an intriguing story of its own, now entrusted to the care of a young woman named Y/n.
Each morning, the sun cast its gentle rays upon the old wooden door of the shop, signalling the beginning of another day.
Y/n, with an air of quiet determination, unlocked the weathered door and stepped into a world frozen in time. The antique store, a relic itself, carried the weight of decades, its wooden beams groaning softly with age.
As the door swung open, a cloud of dust danced through the air, catching the soft glow of the morning light. Y/n took a moment to inhale the musty scent of history and nostalgia before she proceeded with her daily ritual.
Y/n's routine was as predictable as the sunrise. She gingerly dusted off the display cabinets, each one containing a piece of history that had been carefully preserved for generations.
Once the store was tidied up, Y/n took her place at the ornate wooden register. It was a perch from which she watched the world go by, albeit one that rarely saw any visitors.
The store, hidden away in plain sight amidst the chaotic streets of Hyderabad, seemed to exist in its own tranquil bubble. Despite the city's ceaseless movement and vibrant energy, it was as if the shop was invisible to the outside world.
With the day's quietude embracing her, Y/n reached for a vintage novel, a companion she had grown fond of. The pages rustled softly as she lost herself in tales of bygone eras, immersing herself in the words on the pages.
The store was once her grandmother's, and before that, her great-grandmother's, and before that her great-geart-grandmother's. No-one knew exactly how old it was, but it was a family relic that was passed down to Y/n.
Y/n had always been more inclined toward the pages of modern literature than the silver screen. In a world captivated by the magic of movies, she found her sanctuary in the written word.
But as fate would have it, a new cinematic sensation swept across India, leaving a trail of fervour in its wake, bearing the name 'Bahubali.'
It was as if a fever had taken hold of the nation, and fans had gone berserk over this cinematic marvel. People had lost their minds, raving about the epic storytelling and jaw-dropping visuals that this movie promised.
Y/n, ever the outlier in her circle, hadn't quite fathomed the craze.
Her friends, captivated by the Baahubali frenzy, hadn't understood how she remained immune to its charm.
They had pestered her relentlessly, urging her to give it a chance. Perhaps, they had thought, Y/n might just find a new love in the world of cinema.
“Come on, Y/n!!”
“It’s really good!! We’ve already been to the movies three times this month purely because it was so good!”
“And we’ve had two movie nights where we watched the first and second movies together!”
Y/n grimaced, unsure of what to say.
“I don’t know, guys…”
“Ohh, please, Y/n!” They continued to persist, wearing down the girl.
“If it’s not as good as we promise, I swear on my life I’ll start reading that one book you told me to!” Y/n’s ears perked up at this comment as the others quickly joined in.
“In fact - we all will!” The three girls looked at each other and began nodding in unison and urging Y/n.
“Mmm…” Y/n’s face remained in deep thought.
“Y/n, if you come to watch the two movies with us, we all promise to immediately start reading the books.” One of the girls spoke up, finally, desperate to get her friend in front of the silver screen. Y/n craned her head to look past her friends at the deserted and empty shop.
Y/n’s features softened and she looked at their eager faces. She let out a low sigh and looked at her friends, a smile starting to form on her lips.
“I guess it couldn’t hurt to leave the store unattended for one night,”
Finally, Y/n had relented, agreeing to accompany her friends to the movie theatre. She had been willing to set aside her literary pursuits for an evening if only to unravel the mystery of what had driven the entire nation into a state of euphoria.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
As the lights had dimmed and the colossal screen had flickered to life, Y/n's curiosity had mingled with a hint of scepticism. The opening scene had unfolded, and the grandeur of Bahubali had begun to unfurl before her eyes.
She had watched in awe as the story had unfurled, the characters had come to life, and the visual spectacle had swept her into its embrace.
As the credits rolled and the applause of the audience resonated around her, Y/n understood why the nation had succumbed to Baahubali‘s enchantment.
Leaving the theatre, Y/n wore a smile that mirrored the newfound appreciation for the magic of movies. She might have been a devotee of modern literature, but in that moment, she had experienced the transformative enchantment of cinema.
Y/n held a unique perspective on the characters.
Y/n possessed a deep respect for Bahubali, his qualities of honour, bravery, and selflessness impressed her. Bahubali had been a shining example of the qualities Y/n had admired most in people.
Even when it came to the character of Bhallaladeva, who had been universally despised by viewers, Y/n had found herself harbouring a different sentiment. Instead of hatred, she hadn't been able to help but pity him.
Beneath the layers of villainy and treachery, she had glimpsed a tragic figure, consumed by ambition and insecurity, his actions driven by a thirst for approval.
While the general populace had harboured hatred and disgust for Bhallaladeva, she possessed a unique and empathetic viewpoint. Y/n had peered beneath the layers of cruelty and ambition, recognizing the tragic figure that Bhallaladeva had truly been.
In her eyes, Bhallaladeva hadn't been just a villain; he had been a product of his environment, a victim of his father's ruthless influence.
Y/n believed that if he had grown up in a different setting, devoid of the poisonous presence of his father, he could have evolved into a different, more compassionate person.
“I can’t believe you feel sorry for Bhallaladeva, Y/n! He’s the ultimate villain!” Gowri, Y/n’s closest friend, argued as she sat across Y/n in the little coffee shop, as Y/n took a sip of her drink and continued looking down at the newspaper.
“Gowri, I know it’s hard to see, but there’s more to his character than just being a villain,” Y/n said, taking another sip, and making Gowri groan, her hazel locks swaying with her dramatic disdain.
“More to him? He’s a murderer, Y/n! He killed his own brother and lusted for his brother's wife, how can you pity someone like him!?” Gowri's grey eyes were full with a sense of determination to prove Bhallaladeva to be a vilian.
“Everyone’s a murderer in this movie, Gowri. Besides, I’m not condoning his actions, but just think about it. He grew up in a toxic environment with a father like Bijjaladeva. The constant pressure, the endless manipulation, the unhealthy influence…” Y/n shuddered, just thinking about what Bhalla likely grew up with.
“That’s no excuse for his treachery. He betrayed his family and his kingdom, he’s disgusting!” Gowri spat. Y/n sighed, finally placing her mug down on the table and laying her paper flat, looking up at Gowri.
"I get that, but I can't help but wonder if, under different circumstances... He might have turned out differently," Y/n said, softly, in a comforting voice. Gowri gaped at her, her mouth open and eyes wide.
"Are you serious? He's power-hungry and ruthless. He deserved the fate that came to him."
"It's just that the complexity of his character intrigues me. What if he felt trapped, burdened by the expectations placed upon him?" Y/n said thoughtfully, “What if he was feeling betrayed by his own mother? That everything that belonged to him was being shared with his cousin? Even that thought wouldn’t be his fault, it would be his father’s.”
"Y/n, he had a choice! He chose evil, plain and simple." Gowri said with a huff, crossing her arms.
"I'm not saying he didn't make terrible choices. It's just that I can't help but feel a sense of pity for someone who may have been a victim of his own circumstances." Y/n’s tone remained gentle.
"I can't believe you're defending him, Y/n," Gowri said in disbelief, shaking her head.
"I'm not defending him, Gowri. I'm just trying to understand. Stories like Baahubali make us question the complexities of human nature and the choices people make." Y/n said, calmly.
“Well, I still think he’s the worst.” Gowri childishly puffed out her cheeks and looked out of the window as Y/n lightly chuckled, shaking her head.
"And that's the beauty of storytelling. It sparks conversations and lets us see things from different angles." Y/n said with a clever smile, eyeing Gowri as she took another short sip of her drink.
Rather than hating Bhallaladeva, Bijjaladeva, the conniving and power-hungry uncle, had been the object of her disdain. Y/n had loathed him for his nefarious influence over his son, Bhallaladeva.
The sick thoughts and twisted desires he had sown in Bhallaladeva’s mind for his own greed had been inexcusable.
Y/n's fascination didn't stop at the cinema. She had felt compelled to dive deeper into their psyche, to unravel the intricacies of Bhallaladeva and Bahubali’s dynamic, lives, and the forces that had shaped them.
This curiosity led Y/n to embark on a literary journey of her own. She had poured her thoughts, insights, and emotions into a twenty-thousand-word analytical essay, meticulously dissecting the characters and their intertwining destinies.
Her essay had become a labour of love.
'If I were ever magically given the chance to change the fate of Bhallaladeva and assist him to tread a path of light and goodness, I would value the opportunity and do my best to secure him a good future.'
Little had she known that her writings would soon become more than just words on a page, as destiny had had a mysterious plan in store.
The Harsh Interrogation
Synopsis: Y/n is taken to an interrogation by a bemused Bhalla who evidently enjoys mentally torturing her, despite believing her story. Before Bhalla can harmlessly end the interrogation, Bijjaladeva enters and going against the orders of his son, scars Y/n, refusing to believe her. Bhalla comes to the rescue, but a hasty Bahubali enters the scene and misreads the situation, rushing to help Y/n. Sivagami ends the interrogation when she declares that Y/n is a guest of the kingdom and shall be treated with hospitality. Bhalla is ordered to lead Y/n to her new chambers, and so begins the duo's endless banter.
Inside the dimly lit chamber, Bhallaladeva conducted the initial interrogation. His aura was unexpectedly calm and measured, in stark contrast to the ruthless reputation he carried. Calm, but still snarky and bitter from his previous interaction with Y/n.
He questioned Y/n about her origins and the circumstances that brought her to Mahishmati. His inquisitive nature betrayed a genuine curiosity about her.
Bhallaladeva leaned forward, his eyes fixed on Y/n, and asked,
"So, young lady, care to explain how you found yourself in Mahishmati? Your story should be quite extraordinary… And what did you say your name was?"
Y/n, seated before Bhallaladeva, was visibly stressed and annoyed at Bhalla, she could tell that he saw her stress and was purposely putting pressure on her by piling up the questions.
She struggled to maintain her composure under the pressure of the interrogation. Y/n mentally cursed at herself for being so rude with Bhalla previous to the interrogation. Had she known that he would be the one conducting it, she wouldn’t have been so reckless.
But Y/n also had to hold herself back from jumping from her seat, onto Bhalla and ripping his hair out to ease her frustration. She resorted to simply glaring at him.
Her heart raced, and her palms grew clammy as she fabricated a story to protect her secret. The fear of being exposed weighed heavily on her.
She took a deep breath and began her fabricated tale,
"Your Highness, I come from a distant land, and I arrived in Mahishmati with the sole purpose of immersing myself in your rich culture, to learn and appreciate the heritage of this kingdom." Her voice wavered slightly, betraying her anxiety.
Bhallaladeva arched an eyebrow, his expression still holding a hint of interest and sadism.
"And how exactly did you find yourself in the middle of our hunting ground, surrounded by my soldiers?"
Y/n's gaze met Bhallaladeva's, and she replied,
"It was during my exploration of the city that I encountered a magician. This magician possessed the power to manipulate time and space, and in a moment of bewilderment, I found myself transported to the hunting ground, where you found me."
Bhallaladeva's eyes remained fixed on Y/n, his silence a testament to his contemplation. Finally, he spoke, his tone still tinged with scepticism,
"A magician who manipulates time and space? Your tale is quite fantastical, girl."
Y/n swallowed hard, her anxiety intensifying. She had to maintain her façade, no matter how implausible her story sounded.
"It's the truth, Your Highness. I understand that it may be hard to believe, but it's the only explanation I have."
“And what did you say your name was and where exactly did you come from?” Bhalla asked slowly as he analysed Y/n’s face, searching for more than what Y/n would let him in on.
“My name is L/n Y/n, and I come from, er- The land of…” Y/n gulped as Bhalla urged for her to go on, her eyes darting all across the room, trying to think of a country that surely Bhallaladeva wouldn’t know of, “Mexico!” Y/n said suddenly, remembering her history lessons. “I come from a land called ‘Mexico’, Your Highness.”
Bhallaladeva's lips curled into a faint, almost imperceptible smirk.
"Mexico, you say? That's quite a journey, from a land I've never heard of. You certainly have a vivid imagination, L/n Y/n."
Y/n gritted her teeth, frustration building within her as she realized Bhallaladeva was intentionally making this more difficult.
“Well, Your Highness, I suppose when one encounters a magician who can bend reality, imagination becomes a necessity."
The chamber was filled with tension as Bhallaladeva continued to study Y/n, his thoughts shrouded in mystery. It was a battle of wits.
The atmosphere grew ominously tense as the chamber door creaked open, revealing the menacing presence of Bijjaladeva, a man infamous for his cruelty and ruthlessness.
Bijjaladeva wasted no time in asserting his authority, dismissing Bhallaladeva's more measured approach with a disdainful wave of his hand. His malevolent smile sent shivers down Y/n's spine as he approached her, his eyes gleaming with a sadistic glint.
"You there," he hissed, his voice dripping with venomous intent, "you will answer my questions, and you will do so truthfully, or you will suffer consequences far worse than you can imagine."
Y/n, who had already been struggling to maintain her composure under Bhallaladeva's questioning, found herself even more distressed by Bijjaladeva's presence.
"I will do my best to answer your questions, Your Highness," Y/n replied, her voice trembling, her eyes locked in a fierce battle of wills with Bijjaladeva's.
Bijjaladeva leaned in even closer, his cold breath grazing Y/n's ear as he whispered, "Your best may not be good enough. You see, I have a particular talent for extracting the truth from those who dare to deceive me."
As he spoke, Bijjaladeva gestured to one of his guards, who produced a wicked-looking instrument from a nearby table. It gleamed ominously in the dim light, and Y/n's eyes widened in terror as she realized the nature of the device.
She couldn't help but blurt out,
"What is that? What do you intend to do with it?"
Bijjaladeva's cruel smile widened, revealing a set of sharp, predatory teeth.
"Oh, my dear," he said, "this is a tool of persuasion. A little device I've perfected over the years to encourage cooperation."
With a swift, menacing motion, Bijjaladeva signalled to his guards to approach Y/n. They seized her by the arms, their grips like iron vices, and forced her to her feet. Y/n's heart pounded in her chest as she struggled against their hold, her eyes darting around the room for any means of escape.
Bhallaladeva’s eyes widened at his and his eyebrows scrunched.
He made a quick move to stand up and approach his father, but he was quickly pushed back. Bhallaladeva knew Y/n meant no ill intent.
He was just playing with her, making her nervous and tense, scaring her simply because he felt like it, or rather to get back at her for her earlier recklessness, not meaning to actually harm her. But his father, on the other hand, seemed to have other ideas.
Bijjaladeva stepped closer, his eyes locking onto Y/n's with a sinister intensity.
"Now, my dear," he hissed, "let's start from the beginning, shall we? You will tell me everything or this little device will become intimately acquainted with your flesh."
The room seemed to close in around Y/n as she faced the true depths of Bijjaladeva's cruelty.
“Please, Your Majesty, I truly mean no harm or harbour any ill intent towards you or this kingdom-!”
As the malevolent smile on Bijjaladeva's face seemed to widen, ready to unleash his ruthless methods, an unexpected interruption occurred.
Bhallaladeva, despite his outwardly ruthless demeanour and the ongoing tension between him and Y/n, unexpectedly stepped forward. He intervened, his voice surprisingly calm and measured, as he asserted his belief in Y/n's account.
"I believe her," Bhallaladeva declared, his voice cutting through the tension like a sudden gust of wind in a storm.
Y/n's eyes widened in disbelief at Bhallaladeva's unexpected support, her confusion evident in her expression.
Bijjaladeva, on the other hand, appeared taken aback by his son's unexpected support for the stranger before them. His cruel smile faltered for a moment, replaced by a scowl of disapproval.
"You believe her, Bhalla?" Bijjaladeva's voice was laced with incredulity, his gaze piercing into his son's.
Bhallaladeva nodded firmly, his gaze unwavering as he met his father's disapproving stare. "Yes, Father. There's something about her... something in her eyes that tells me she's not lying when she says she means no ill."
Y/n, still bewildered by this turn of events, found her voice. "Thank you, Your Highness. I appreciate your support."
Bijjaladeva's scowl deepened, but he chose not to argue further with his son at that moment. Instead, he turned his attention back to Y/n, his eyes narrowing. "Very well. We will continue this discussion later."
As the tension in the chamber gradually eased, Bhallaladeva motioned for the guards to release their grip on Y/n.
"You're safe for now," he whispered to her, his voice holding a hint of reassurance.
Y/n nodded in gratitude, her emotions still a whirlwind of confusion and relief.
The room seemed to exhale a collective sigh of relief as Y/n's ordeal appeared to be over. She let out a trembling breath, her heart still racing, but she was grateful for the momentary reprieve from the looming threat of torture.
Before anyone could fully process what was happening, Bijjaladeva's demeanour shifted from calm to fury. In an alarming moment, he snatched a nearby torture instrument and lunged at Y/n with a ferocity that left everyone in the room stunned.
The sharp tip of the instrument pierced the top layer of the skin on her right cheek, drawing a fat drop of blood that glistened ominously.
Bijjaladeva's voice thundered through the chamber as he shouted at Y/n, demanding the truth from her.
“Tell me the truth girl! Who sent you!?” The room was filled with tension once more, and Y/n's eyes widened in terror as the instrument sank menacingly over her.
But in a dramatic twist, Bhallaladeva, quick as lightning, intervened. He placed his arm between Bijjaladeva and Y/n, snatching the instrument from his father's grasp. The sudden action sent Bijjaladeva stumbling back, his rage momentarily quelled.
In a dark, commanding tone, Bhallaladeva addressed his father.
"That's enough, Father. I already told you, I believe her. I'm certain she means no harm to Mahishmati or anyone here.” Bhalla spoke in a commanding voice, “If she does anything wrong, I am willing to be held accountable for her."
Bhallaladeva's words were firm and resolute, his voice unwavering as he continued, "She doesn't deserve to be treated like this."
Bijjaladeva, still seething with anger, glared at his son, his chest heaving with frustration. The room was filled with a heavy silence, the tension between father and son palpable.
Y/n, her heart still pounding from the ordeal, looked at Bhallaladeva with a mixture of gratitude and astonishment.
As the tension in the chamber continued to mount and Y/n's stress reached its peak, a dramatic entrance marked the arrival of Amarendra Baahubali.
With a gentle but authoritative demeanour, he stepped forward and took in the sight before him—the bloodied instrument in Bhallaladeva's hand and the large drop of blood cascading down Y/n's left cheek.
Bahubali's brow furrowed with concern as he mistakenly interpreted the situation. He believed that Bhallaladeva was the one who had pierced Y/n's skin, unaware that he was the one who had actually saved her from it. With an air of chivalry and protectiveness, he urged Bhallaladeva to stop.
"What is the meaning of this, Bhalla!?" Bahubali's voice carried a tone of authority as he addressed his brother. "Have you lost all sense of reason? This is not the way to treat a guest."
Bhallaladeva was taken aback by Bahubali's intervention. He quickly tried to clarify the situation but found himself at a loss for words. The confusion was compounded by the fact that Bahubali, in his protective stance, had misunderstood the circumstances.
"I didn't—" Bhallaladeva began, attempting to explain, but he was interrupted by Bahubali's continued admonishment.
"We must show hospitality to our guests, not subject them to harm," Bahubali continued, his voice unwavering. He strode towards the stressed Y/n, reaching a gentle arm out towards her.
Y/n looked down at his hand with grateful eyes and placed her hand upon his and he helped her stand up. Bahu reached into his pocket and pulled out his very own handkerchief.
The brothers exchanged glances, their contrasting personalities on full display—Bhallaladeva, the perceived villain with hidden depths, and Bahubali, the hero who often used his brother's darker image to emphasize his own virtuous nature, unknowingly.
Y/n observed this scene intently.
Sivagami's entrance into the chamber had brought a semblance of order to the previously tense atmosphere. As she took charge of the situation, Bhallaladeva, Bahubali, and Y/n waited in anticipation of her decision. It was clear that the queen's words would carry immense weight.
Sivagami, her regal bearing unwavering, addressed the assembly with a measured tone.
"In times of uncertainty, it is our duty to extend our hospitality to those who seek refuge within our kingdom's borders," she began. "This young woman, Y/n, has found herself in our midst under mysterious circumstances. It is our responsibility to ensure her safety and well-being."
Bijjaladeva spoke up with a hint of scepticism in his voice. "But Sivagami, how can we be certain of her intentions? She appeared out of nowhere, and her story is far from conventional."
Bahubali, ever the voice of reason and compassion, offered his perspective.
"Mother, we must also consider the possibility that Y/n is a victim of circumstances beyond her control. Her appearance may be strange, but her demeanour does not suggest malice."
Y/n, feeling a deep sense of gratitude toward Bahubali for his support, couldn't help but chime in.
"I assure you, Your Highness, I mean no harm to Mahishmati or its people. My presence here is as much a mystery to me as it is to all of you."
Sivagami regarded Y/n with a penetrating gaze, her wisdom evident in her every word.
"Then it is settled," she declared. " L/n Y/n shall be allowed to stay within the palace and study the ways of our kingdom. We shall provide her with the guidance she needs to navigate our world."
This decision was met with a collective sense of relief, as it offered Y/n a chance to understand the dynamics of Mahishmati and lay out her plan to fulfil her secret mission.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
After the intense interrogation, Queen Sivagami ordered Bhallaladeva to escort Y/n to her new chambers and ensure her comfort, earning an unpleasantly surprised look from both the prince and the girl. As they walked through the palace's grand corridors, the tension between them was obvious.
Y/n crossed her arms, raising an eyebrow. "I suppose this is where you tell me how lucky I am to have you as my escort, right?"
Bhallaladeva smirked, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "Indeed, you should consider yourself quite fortunate, girl."
Y/n chuckled, not backing down. "Oh, I do. Trust me, your charm is overwhelming."
As they continued down the corridor, Bhallaladeva couldn't resist poking fun at her. "I hope the accommodations meet your standards, considering your... humble origins."
Y/n shot back with a snarky grin. "Oh, don't worry. I've seen worse. But maybe I can give this place a much-needed makeover."
Bhallaladeva raised an eyebrow, feigning surprise. "An interior decorator, are you? Impressive."
Y/n nodded, playing along. "Among other talents. You'll discover them soon enough."
Upon reaching Y/n's new room, Bhallaladeva opened the door with a flourish, gesturing for her to enter. "Here you are, girl. I trust you'll find it suitable."
Y/n inspected the lavish chamber with mock approval. "Well, it's certainly different from my grandma's old antique shop."
Bhallaladeva couldn't resist one last jab. "Enjoy it while you can. I don’t reckon you’ll last very long here."
Y/n turned to him, her eyes twinkling with mischief. "Oh, I don’t intend to."
As Bhallaladeva prepared to leave, he couldn't help but commen. "You're quite the puzzle, girl. I can't quite figure you out."
Y/n smirked, her tone teasing. "The feeling is mutual, Prince Bhallaladeva. This is certainly not where I expected to find myself."
As Bhallaladeva took his leave, Y/n was left alone in her new room, a satisfied grin on her face. Despite their snarky exchanges, there was an undeniable intrigue between them, and she had a feeling that her journey in Mahishmati was just beginning.
