Bagri had found their cabin while doing a missing persons sweep of the forest. Einer hadn't been there, but Bagri had described the event in so much vivid detail when he got home that he felt almost like he had been. His eyes bright and his hands shaking as he scowered for a listing on a real estate site.

His 4-wheeler coming to a stop in the small clearing, Einer had imagined him putting on the goofy park ranger hat he normally wore hanging by it's chin strap around his neck. The silver grass had crunched under his boots. The singing. Bagri had always been able to hear it in those woods, but he could finally make out the words when he stood on that door step. He couldn't remember the words when he recounted the story, but he said it was okay with a manic grin because they weren't for Einer to know.

Einer wasn't one of the forest's like him. He never heard the singing. Not when he stood at it's heart sobbing for it's help, not when Bagri and his coworkers stood still to just listen to the siren song that had brought them there, not when Bagri or Echo sang with it.

The cabin had no curtains or blinds, but every room was furnished. Bagri had completely filled his phone's SD card and internal storage with pictures. Obsessively documentimg every detail he could from the windows. Bagri had said it was Home like he was speaking of a lost city.

He found the corpses in the bedroom. His missing persons. One with their bones gnawed so thoroughly that Einer had had trouble recognizing the gore as belonging to a human when Bagri showed him the photos, the other looking like they'd just fallen asleep with their head resting where the splatter's belly should be.

Bagri came back to himself the next day.

Einer had had to delete the photos for him because he couldn't handle meat on his plate or graphic deaths in movies, he certainly couldn't handle several gigabytes of corpses in his home.

He still called it home.

They still bought the place and moved in as soon as the investigation was over.

Einer knew he didn't have a say in the matter, the forest and Bagri had already decided and he could fall in line or lose his husband of a month and a half to the trees.

IPL betting case: Thane police recovers betting rates from Sonu Jalan’s mobile for SRH vs DD game

IPL Betting Case: Police have recovered the betting rates of Indian Premier League 2018 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils from the phone of Sonu Jalan, the bookie who was recently arrested in the high-profile betting case.

In a fresh development related to the ongoing IPL betting case, the Thane AEC has managed to recover few snapshots of betting rates from the mobile phone of Sonu Jalan – the mastermind behind the entire scandal, of matches from 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). The screenshots of the rates are from match 36 of the 11th edition between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils.

Sonu, who is likely to be summoned regarding the matter along with others bookies, claimed that the screenshots were from the match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Daredevils. While the rates for SRH was Rs 1.68, the rates for Daredevils was 2.46. While Sonu added that many of his clients placed bets on the match, he refused to reveal any names.

Earlier, in an FIR, Ritesh Hasmukh Shah – a 39-year-old businessman from Thane accused Sonu and five other bookies of extortion and threatening him with murder. Ritesh said that Sonu, along with Munir Khan, Junior Kolkata (Surendra Bagri), Kiran Mala, Ketan Tanna (alias Raja) and Ravi Sulayya Pujari threatened to kill him.

Along with the bookies, a former cop and his brother are also under the scanner for their alleged role in the betting incident. As per sources, former cop Sohail Buddha transferred Rs 2 crore in Sonu's account and the latter was using his brother's car. The sources added that Sohail helped Sonu get in touch with present days police officers post which Sonu recorded their conversation and used it for blackmailing purpose.

In a shocking development, Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan agreed to have placed bets on IPL matches for six years. Arbaaz revealed that he was in touch with Sonu and the latter was threatening him as he owed him Rs 2.8 crore. Arbaaz also agreed to cooperate with the police regarding the incident.

EOW has named Bhupesh Baghel, Ravi Uppal, Shubham Soni, Chandrabhushan Verma, Asimdas, Satish Chandrakar, Nitish Diwan, Saurabh Chandrakar, Anil Aggarwal, Vikas Chhaparia, Rohit Gulati, Vishal Ahuja, Dheeraj Ahuja, Anil Dammani, Sunil Dammani, Bhim Singh in the FIR. Yadav, Harishankar Tibarwal, Surendra Bagri, Suraj Chokhani have been made accused.

Sonu Jahan Claims Sajid Khan of Placing Bets with Him 7 Years Ago

The IPL betting scandal saw yet another development, as Sonu Jalan who was summoned by Thane Police for being the mastermind of the whole betting fiasco revealed the name of Sajid Khan who used to place bets with him.

Sajid Khan is a reputed Bollywood director and is a high profile celebrity. Sonu named Sajid for placing bets with him around seven years ago. The reports were made public by the Times Now. Meanwhile, it must be noted that Sajid is the brother of renowned Bollywood Choreographer, Farah Khan. However, despite his name coming up, Sajid is unlikely to be in the police net, as the incident happened seven years ago. Sajid is a pretty big name in the Bollywood industry. His name comes up just days after Arbaaz Khan, Bollywood actor and a brother of Salman Khan admitted to having placed bets on the cash-rich league for six years.

Sonu had threatened Arbaaz of owing him Rs 2.8 crores. Arbaaz has been summoned pretty recently by police for his involvement in the betting racket.

Along with five other bookies, Sonu’s name taken in the betting fiasco. Sonu came into the police radar when a 39-year old businessman filed an FIR against him and the five other bookies.

He accused them of extortion and threatening to murder. The FIR was filed against Jalan, Munir Khan, Surendra Bagri, Kiran Mala, Ketan Tanna and Ravi Sulayya Pujari of blackmail.

Meanwhile, cops of Thane have also recovered the screenshots of the betting rates of an IPL match on Sonu’s cell phone. The screenshots start fro Match 36 of IPL 2018 which was held between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Delhi Daredevils. Sonu did admit of many clients placing bets. However, he didn’t take any names.

Unraveling the IPL Betting Scandal: A Tale of Extortion, Influence, and the Quest for Justice

Amidst the ongoing investigation into the betting case within the Indian Premier League (IPL), a significant turn of events has emerged, pointing towards the imposition of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) on Sonu Jalan, famously known as Sonu Malad. The latest FIR filed by Ritesh Hasmukh Shah, a 39-year-old businessman from Thane, accuses Sonu and five other bookies of extortion and menacing him with the threat of murder.

In the FIR, Ritesh has accused Sonu Jalan (alias Sonu Malad), Munir Khan, Junior Kolkata (Surendra Bagri), Kiran Mala, Ketan Tanna (alias Raja) and Ravi Sulayya Pujari of extortion.

In a major development regarding the betting case in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Thane cops are likely to impose Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) on Sonu Jalan alias Sonu Malad. In the latest FIR – Ritesh Hasmukh Shah – a 39-year-old businessman from Thane has accused Sonu and five other bookies of extortion and threatening him with murder.

In the FIR, Ritesh has accused Sonu Jalan (alias Sonu Malad), Munir Khan, Junior Kolkata (Surendra Bagri), Kiran Mala, Ketan Tanna (alias Raja) and Ravi Sulayya Pujari of extortion. Ritesh adds that the accused threatened to kill him and demanded an extortion amount of Rs 3 crore and also showed him a revolver. On 22-1-2018, the accused allegedly took Ritesh by force from Thane to Goregaon West and also forced him to sign a mortgage deal of his flat. Police will move MCOCA against all those mentioned in the FIR.

Sources say that former cop Sohail Buddha and his brother Sameer are also under the scanner in the betting case. According to sources, Sohail allegedly transferred approximately Rs 2 crore to Sonu's account who is said to be using Sameer's car. Both Sohail and Sameer are likely to be summoned soon. Sohail is said to have helped Sonu make contacts with present days police officers after which Sonu used to record conversations with them and use the same for blackmailing purpose.

Sameer and Sohail Buddha's name had also cropped up in the Sheena Bora case. Earlier, Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan also admitted having placed bets in IPL matches. On being interrogated, Arbaaz said that he had been placing bets for six years now and Sonu was threatening him as he owed him Rs 2.8 crores. Producer Parag Sanghvi, who is also the CEO of Alumbra Entertainment & Lotus Film company, was also summoned towards the end of the interrogation.
