I want to know more about your 12 and yaz thoughts!
I'm imagining a 12 between s9 and s10 and Yaz post "The Power of the Doctor". Yaz would, at first, not say anything about anything, and she'd try very hard but she's not that great of a liar. 12 would also not say anything because they recognize the signs of "companion I haven't met yet" and also "companion I kind of fucked up" and "companion who caught feelings" and wow are they not touching that with a ten foot pole. but she's smart and brave and determined and kind of prickly so of course they let her hang around - and she's running through all the mantras she picked up from the companions support group, like not all Doctors are your Doctor and don't let them use you. The horrible part is that 12's mean streak feels almost comforting. That the not-quite is good enough, that she needs to work at not letting herself fall back in at the Doctor's side. The shitty feeling of running after scraps from someone who will become who you want them to be, but only after you've gone. But also: whee, adventure!! How had she ever managed to convince herself that staying on Earth was better than this?
She'd tell the Doctor that they're a woman, later, and that fact would sit in their chest like a stone. Getting her to say anything else would be like pulling teeth - would that be fucking up the timelines? Would that be giving away the parts of the Doctor that are hers alone? Better not, just to make sure. Clara and River are haunting the narrative. Missy is in the basement. (Nardole is rolling his eyes.) Either the timelines will smooth themselves back out and the Doctor will forget this happened, or they won't, and they'll do what they do knowingly. They are both extremely aware of this. Like I said, chunky!
#the bad decisions dinosaur of doctor/companion pairings#it's the 90's#she's wearing baby doll tshirts and parachute pants#12 is physically unable to stop listening to “Song 2” by Blur#Missy would looooove fucking with Yaz. cat playing with a mouse before it eats it.#dr who#deep thoughts with whifferdills

every day i grow closer and closer to getting a tattoo....
#they are so expensive and i am SO bad at decisions#however i have decided that i Will be getting a trans symbol on my hip#my friend might get stick n poke stuff then he would do it hashtag responsibility or whatever#and then there is this really cool tattoo artist who i would want to tattoo dippy the dinosaur's skull on me somewhere#but money so that will be. further down the line at some point i guess#dippy the dinosaur because if i had to choose something specific that made me who i am today it would genuinely be dippy#also looks cool#but my friend (twin of stick n poke one) has this insane pomegranate with swords on his stomach#and it's like the coolest thing i've ever seen and i do think it would be cool and fun to have a massive tattoo#but i don't think there's anything i could commit to like that every time i get a meal deal i nearly have a breakdown

wait pacific rim was bad?
I thought it was supposed to be good, it’s by del toro and about climate change
Yep! It's also a paper-thin justification for kickass giant-robot-vs-kaiju spectacle. Almost all the dialogue is exposition, and for some reason whenever they're in the giant robot the main dude cannot stop shouting things at the main girl that she 100% already knows, given that she is the most highly trained and interesting character in the movie. The acting is at its best when the characters aren't talking, star-wars-prequels style. Many things happen that don't make sense as character decisions and exist purely for the sake of tension, like doing a drift compatibility test IN a giant fully-armed robot that can go berserk if one of the participants gets lost in their traumatic memories, which is a very common thing with the drift. At one point a character literally says "as you know-" and proceeds to claim that dinosaurs had two brains. The score, effects and fight choreography are incredible, it's just the dialogue, characters and worldbuilding hold up like wet tissue paper. It's my favorite action movie ever made.

Others: Brooklyn is the new villain of JWCT
Me: Brooklyn is in deep cover, integrating herself into the bad guy organization to get closer to the Broker, so that she can shut them down from the inside, which will lead her to have to make some morally compromising decisions which makes her friends doubt she's on their side which just breaks her heart because in the end she's doing all of this to keep them and the dinosaurs safe.

────────────────────────────
You just need the shots.
────────────────────────────
Sorry for the English.
Titans have always defeated their enemies. For millennia, if not more, they have fought for balance and peace on this planet. They were all strong in their own way. Even those same pests had some potential, but decided to go the other way, with poor results in the process. Victory has always been on the side of good. It had to be. Any way. Especially for creatures like Kaiju, who are truly majestic.
They had their own zest, and maybe even several.
Some people liked them
And some preferred to run far away, the main thing was not to look at them and save their lives. But that's what life is for, to preserve it and make that remnant richer than being eaten or trampled by the Titan. But do the Titans really need to do anything to humans? Their work is done.
There was no enemy and there was no point in doing anything else.
It's just people who are like that. Their size was really poorly chosen by nature and therefore you have to somehow survive and turn on instincts for advancement.
It's no one's fault that half of humanity actively avoids all these Kaiju.
It's just a smart decision of nature, or maybe fate itself, that gave all these Titans the ability.
The ability that people liked, who are not afraid of them and consider them something beautiful and attractive.
Especially you. A simple girl, an ordinary resident in the city,
Just a creature with a destiny to follow.
But this fate was difficult and you didn't know what to do and how to decide.
For some reason, your ego can't get enough of all these shots from the news on TV. You've always wanted something more, and you didn't know what it was. Even photographs that were accidentally photographed by people were kept for themselves. Everything that had to do with the Titans, you put aside for yourself. All the information that kept you afloat was yours.
You were obsessed.
Especially from the moment He arrived.
You've seen this fight and watched it several times. The Lizard fought other Titans unknown to you. You couldn't find an animal that matched these looks, but they all looked mysterious and beautiful in their own way. But there was a bad intention behind this beauty. You have heard and understood that these two Titans were parasites. That is why the one who fell into your soul mercilessly destroyed them. The one you've always liked and the one that sticks in your head to this day.
It's been many years since you've seen it. You didn't know where he was going or what he was doing. But perhaps he, like all animals, slept somewhere and accumulated strength for the next fight.
You've always been following the information about this Titan. Especially when he came back a couple of years later.
You've seen this fierce battle once again. But it's more terrible with the enemy. Their struggle was serious and decided the future fate of the planet. Two alphas and two kings.
But you've always been in favor of the former, and for good reason.
He won again and left again. And you were left sitting in your room and looking at the photos, which were added a few years later. And again. Struggle.
No matter how many years pass, no matter how many times you learn everything in your life. Your brain couldn't get it out of your head. So much time has passed, and you're still into it. Any ordinary person would call you crazy and frivolous, a person with a childish imagination and inspiration in the next book with Dinosaurs.
Or maybe it was.
For these people.
For you, this was the first step to destiny. Yes, it all started with simple reptiles and dinosaurs, and then the Titans, which seductively torment your soul. But you don't mind. You just need to shorten the distance to them.
And to him.
The one that ate up your brain and all the unnecessary thoughts every day.
You couldn't help but think about him. For you, it has become something ordinary.
It's already familiar.
A habit that only gives you a step forward.
And off you went.
The next struggle that was in front of your eyes. The Four Titans. Two by two, and Odin died. You didn't understand how you managed to survive in such a deadly situation. Buildings collapsed step by step, you desperately ran where your feet led. Where my instinct led me. The loud screams of people, the growls coming from somewhere above, made you close your eyes and ears and squeeze into yourself like a child in a corner.
It wasn't like what you saw on TV.
It was scarier.
It was worse.
But for some reason, you didn't run where the rest of the people who were saving themselves were running. You ran to him.
To Godzilla.
Its spikes were visible between the buildings and you took advantage of this by speeding up your run. The closer you were, the scarier it became from the size you gradually notice in front of you. You knew you could die, but you went anyway.
You've been dreaming for so long and couldn't miss this moment.
You don't care if you're going to die.
It's like someone steps on you.
You want and move forward, crawling through broken roofs and structures. Yes, it was difficult, but you walked.
They were practically near you, but not yet completely. They won't see you. Much less will He see.
A couple of meters left. You've already noticed the big ape that was called Kong. You recalled the struggle that took place a few years ago. It was him. The only thing that distinguished him from that image was a large and yellow metal glove, which seemed to increase his strength.
But it doesn't matter, what matters is that the one you admired, or even loved, has also become different. You walked to the last tall building that could withstand such storms and looked up.
Your favorite.
A creature that has sunk into your little heart from the very beginning. That has become something mundane in your head. He was in front of you. The changes that touched him excited your mind even more. His breath was pink, and his spikes became sharper and more curved. The legs have clearly become longer.
So beautiful and so attractive.
You watched in amazement as the Titan shot its beam into the sky, pulling apart the cold clouds, letting the sun into the world. It was perfect. It was so beautiful that we didn't notice how we pulled out the phone for another photo. This picture will be truly sensational. The most beloved in my entire life.
A smile immediately enveloped your face, you slowly picked up your phone and looked across the screen at Godzilla, who was unaware of anything. But he's unlikely to notice.
The finger cautiously approached the mug through which your life would sing again for a few days.
Squinting your eyes, you gasped for air.
"Click"
"Oops" You pursed your lips into a thin line and carefully moved the lens away from you. Okay, that wasn't the plan. It was ridiculous. A failure and a mistake that will probably ruin your life right now.
Reaching for your pocket, you put your phone back in and took a step back.
I don't think the sound reached them because of the difference in size, you just need to quietly step back from this fuss.
Slowly turning your back on the Titans, you took another step away from them. The quieter the step, the stronger the crunch of stones under your feet, which was a problem.
"Everything is fine. All.. Good.." You could barely hold back a sigh.
"Everything is wonderful..."
A huge shadow immediately loomed over you, right over your pathetic body. Your shoulders stiffened. You remembered how you came here without fear, but with a suspicion of death.
And here she comes.
That is, He came.
Warm air enveloped your shoulders. A rhythmic growl followed you, as if interested. You didn't dare turn your head, but you can't run away either.
Two options and two different answers.
How could you not hear this colossus approaching you?
Absurdly.
You swallowed, praying you wouldn't be in any danger. Just like yard dogs, they will smell it and move on. But not everyone does that.
Making a different decision, you jerked away from the Titan, jumping off a collapsed chunk of the building until you stopped again with a furious scream at your back. Out of your fear, another one sounded, but this time another, more rude. And it didn't seem to be aimed at you.
With tension, you turned all the way.
The two Titans growled at each other as if to say something, but it was not yet known what it was. Very strange. But you silently thanked the monkey for not letting you offend, to put it mildly.
You looked at the two kaiju one more time before pulling out your phone again.
Turning on the camera and adjusting the lens, you pointed your gadget at one cute Titan on the left. You didn't notice it right away, but when you caught your eye, you decided to take a picture and capture it as a complement to your passions.
Squinting your eyes and adjusting for an angle, you finally clicked.
"Click"
"Damn" You banged your head on the screen, bumping your forehead right at that button, where there was another click in the direction of the Titan. "What's the matter... "
The three of them stared at you.
The three mighty Titans fell abruptly silent. The one in white was just looking at you curiously, bowing his head slightly while the other two looked at each other. Although Godzilla still had a quiet growl in the direction of Kong, who just turned away with a frown, not wanting to start a fight again.
Now you're in their sight.
Here it is, embarrassment in front of an idol.
You raised your eyebrows, looking back. If you say something, they are unlikely to understand.
Lifting the camera again, you brought your finger closer to the button once more.
"Click"
With a shake in your hands, you brought the screen closer to you, staring at the photo in the hope that the second attempt would not come. You breathed a sigh of relief. All three of them looked at you peacefully, without screaming and without anything that could ruin the shot. Even Godzilla silently stared at you, even though it was scary. But you didn't mind.
All that's left to do is reach out, poke your hand on that muzzle, and feel the texture of the scales.
But it will only be in dreams.
So far.
And now.. Enjoy a bunch of beautiful Titans that flaunt in your lens. After all, it's not for nothing that you stepped on that very step as a child.

*throws this at you and escapes out the window of a ten story building*
Ren: What are you two arguing about this time? Grian: They’re always using common phrases incorrectly! Martyn: Cry me a table, Grian.
Mumbo: Which country has the most birds? Mumbo: Portu-geese! BigB: That's a language. Mumbo: Portu-gull? BigB: Good recovery. Lizzie: I think you mean good re-dovery. Grian: TURKEY. HOW DID WE MISS TURKEY?
Bdubs: So the other day I sent Joel out to get us some gas. Bdubs: And instead of getting gas, they got us novelty cookie cutters. Bdubs: Now everything we eat is shaped like a dinosaur. Bdubs: … Bdubs: I love them so much.
Cleo: When I said bring me something back from the beach I meant like a conch shell! Joel: *Struggling to hold a seagull* Fucking say that next time!
Martyn: What do you want then? Cleo: Er… something work related. Martyn: What department is this? Cleo: Sorry? Martyn: Well, if it’s work related you’d obviously know what department this is. What department is this? Cleo: *looks at Joel and Etho* Some sort of homosexual department? (<- bro this one is too perfect lmao)
Skizz: I can never give Bdubs shit because I’m jealous of them. They look at their life and say, “Sweet! This is perfect!” Skizz: I look at my life and say, “Welp. Time to get drunk.”
Pearl, to The Squad: You should change your passwords to “incorrect”. Then, every time you forget it, the system will remind you, “your password is incorrect”.
Scott: Well, Joel, is there anything you would like to say to Etho? Joel: How do I put this delicately? You’re a horrible roommate and nobody likes you. Scott: How about we frame our statement with “When you do this, it makes me feel this”? Joel: When you live here, it makes me angry. Because you’re a horrible roommate and nobody likes you.
Jimmy: As usual, Jimmy has to save the day! Tango: As usual, Tango has to hear about it.
Ren: If I ever had a child, I imagine they would be a lot like you. Gem: Aww, thanks— Ren: Which is probably why I’ve never reproduced.
Mumbo: Don’t mansplain this to me! Gem: Wh- I’m a woman! I can't mansplain anything to you! Mumbo: …Well, I’m a feminist, and I believe a woman can do anything a man does!
Scar: “Struggle with depression” would seem to imply that I am bad at being depressed when I am, in fact, very proficient at being depressed.
Impulse, looking at their watch: It has been 2 hours and sixteen minutes since I’ve been insulted. Impulse: It’s been about 5 seconds since I’ve been assaulted, but let’s not talk about that.
Skizz: *mixing different alcoholic beverages together* Scar: What are you making? Skizz: A mistake.
Impulse: Some of us are still ‘it’ from a childhood game of tag. Lizzie: Way to just fuck me up on a Tuesday.
Martyn: Joel taught me to think before I act. Martyn: ...So if I smack the shit out of you, rest assured that I thought about it and am confident in my decision.
Scott: Assert your dominance over your friends by kicking them in the face, and then giving them a little smooch on the forehead!
Grian: Have you heard of Murphy’s law? The one where if something can go wrong, it will go wrong? BigB: Yeah, I have. Grian: Have you heard of Cole’s law? BigB: Is this a joke about coleslaw? Grian: …maybe.
Pearl: I am free of all prejudice. I hate everyone equally.
Grian: *walks into the room* Lizzie: They’re covered in blood again. Why is it they’re always covered in blood? Pearl: Well, it looks like it’s their own blood this time.
Bdubs: As a responsible adult- Scott: *chuckles* Bdubs: … As a responsible adult—
Cleo: Fun Fact! The average person will walk by 36 murderers in their lifetime. Martyn: I like how this is a "fun" fact. Etho: It's fun because they didn't decide to murder you.
*crawls back into the room after jumping out of the window and dragging myself up ten flights of stairs*
HOPE YOU ENJOYED!

I would love to know how Beth and viv deal with a sick Rory
— A SICK ROO.
loved this so had to turn it into a fic! also another little appearance from Monkey @scribblesofagoonerr 💗
The morning had been tough for Viv and Beth. Their usual routine was thrown off by a restless night, with Rory waking up several times before slipping into their bed.
By the time the sun peeked through the curtains, none of them had gotten much sleep. They tried to keep Rory entertained, but her mood was sour from the start. She was clingy, whiny, and refusing to eat her breakfast. Every attempt to cheer her up seemed to fail, leaving Viv and Beth feeling like they’d failed.
“Roo, you need to eat something, baby!” Beth cooed and Rory sat on her lap, snuggled into her chest.
She nuzzled her head closer to Beth, “Don't wanna, Mummy.” She mumbled.
"Maybe she’s getting sick," Viv suggested. “She might have picked something up at preschool
Beth sighed, rubbing Rory’s back in slow circles. "She doesn’t feel warm, though. It could just be a bad day."
Beth kissed the top of her daughter’s head, "How about we go outside, sweetie? Would you like that? We could play in the garden."
Rory shook her head without lifting it. “No garden. Wanna stay here.”
Viv walked over with a plate of pancakes, setting it down on the table. "Alright, Roo. We’ll stay inside if that’s what you want." She crouched down next to them. "Maybe we can watch some cartoons together?"
Rory hesitated, finally lifting her head to look at the pancakes. “Maybe... just a little bit of pancakes,” she said, her voice small and unsure.
“Good girl,” Viv said with a soft smile. “Let’s get you a fork.”
They both hoped that a little bit of food might help Rory feel better, or at least give her the energy she needed to shake off her bad mood. They settled down on the couch, with Rory perched between them. Luckily, neither of them had to be at training for another few hours.
As the morning wore on, they decided to let Rory watch her favourite show while they got ready for training. Normally, they would have taken her out to the park or for a walk, but today they were simply too exhausted. Rory dozed off on the couch, her little body finally letting the tiredness that had plagued her all morning take over. It was rare for her to nap this early, and when she woke up an hour later, she was even grumpier than before.
Viv and Beth exchanged a weary glance as Rory woke up from her nap in an even worse mood than before. The grumpiness had set in, and they both knew that getting her dressed and ready was going to be a challenge.
Beth knelt beside Rory, "How about we put on your favourite dress today? The one with the little stars on it?" she suggested, trying to sound as enthusiastic as possible.
Rory shook her head stubbornly, burying her face into her blanket. "No dress," she mumbled.
Viv sighed softly, coming to sit beside them. "What if we let you choose what you want to wear, Roo? Anything you like, even your football kit?" Viv asked, hoping to spark some interest.
"Don’t wanna," she replied, her little arms crossing in front of her as if to reinforce her decision.
“Okay, why don’t you tell us what you want to wear? Viv suggested.
“Somethin’ comfy,” Rory mumbled, her voice still tinged with sleepiness.
"Comfy it is," Beth said with a nod. "How about your soft dinosaur pyjamas? You love those."
“Dinos.” she nodded
"Perfect," Viv said, getting up to grab the pyjamas from Rory's bedroom.
She handed them to Beth, who gently coaxed Rory out of her blanket and into the pyjamas. As soon as she was dressed, Rory seemed to relax slightly, her tiny body sinking into the familiar comfort of the soft fabric.
Beth pulled Rory into a hug, rocking her gently. "There we go, sweetie. All cosy now. We should probably get moving.”
Viv nodded, "I’ll get her shoes. Maybe we can grab a snack for the road? Something small."
"How about some apple slices, Roo? You can have them in the car on the way."
Rory nodded, still sleepy but no longer grumpy. They loaded Rory into the car, hoping the drive to the training ground might help improve her mood. By the time they arrived, Rory seemed slightly better, though still fussy.
She clung to Beth as they walked into the reception area where they found Steph lying on the floor with Win. Viv followed behind them, carrying all of their bags as well as Rory’s backpack.
“Hi, guys!” Steph smiled as she stood up, her smile immediately turning to a pout once she saw Rory, “Bad day?”
Beth sighed as she nodded, “Roo is a little grumpy today, aren’t you?” She said as Rory cuddled into her neck further, “I think she could be coming down with something.”
“Aww poor, Roo,” Steph said, “I love your PJs!”
Rory smiled a tiny bit but still had her head buried in the crook of Beth’s neck. The couple made their way into the changing rooms, setting Rory down on the bench so they could quickly get changed. They tried to coax her into staying with the staff like usual but she was clingy and just wanted to stay with her Mummies.
With both of them still in rehab, they headed into the gym. Laura and Leah were doing their own rehab when they walked in.
“Rough morning?” Leah asked from her spot on the floor.
Beth nodded, “She’s grumpy, I think she’s coming down with something.”
Leah frowned, “Poor Bubba! I hate it when Buddy’s sick, I feel useless.”
The sound of pounding footsteps echoed through the gym as Monkey burst in, her hair dripping wet and a wide-eyed, frantic expression on her face.
"She’s gonna get me!" she yelled, “Someone hide me!”
Monkey dashed behind Leah, using her as a shield. "Save me!" she pleaded, peeking out from behind them. "Kyra’s on a rampage with the water bottle!"
Rory, already grumpy and on the verge of tears from her rough morning, flinched at the noise and started crying, burying her face into Beth’s shoulder.
Leah gave Monkey a gentle but firm look. "Monkey. Keep it down, please. Rory’s not feeling well today."
Monkey’s face immediately fell, her expression turning to one of guilt and concern. "Oh no, I’m so sorry, Roo!" she said softly. "I didn’t mean to scare you. You feeling sicky? I hate being sick! So does Buddy, it’s the worst thing ever!”
Rory sniffled and looked up at Monkey, her eyes still watery. "Too loud," she mumbled.
Monkey nodded, her voice now soft and soothing. "I’ll be quieter, promise.”
Leah laughed, “Never seen you so calm around kids before,” she said, nodding towards the teenager.
They soon set Rory up in the corner, snuggled under a blanket with Twix and the iPad. She soon fell asleep and although Beth and Viv knew a late nap was dangerous, they didn’t care. It wasn't long before Rory started to fuss again. Beth, keeping a watchful eye on her, noticed that Rory had become unusually pale.
Rory began to stir. She woke up slowly, blinking her eyes open and looking around the gym. But instead of the grumpiness after a nap, Rory seemed off. Her face was flushed, and her forehead felt warm to touch.
"Viv, I think she’s got a fever," Beth said, concern evident in her voice as she checked Rory’s temperature with the back of her hand.
Viv quickly moved to her daughter’s side, feeling her forehead as well. "Yeah, she’s definitely warm. We should take her home and let her rest."
Rory, now awake and feeling unwell, whimpered softly. "Mummy, I don’t feel good," she mumbled, “My tummy hurts.”
"I know, sweetie," Beth said, picking her up and holding her close. "We’re going to take you home, and you can rest on the sofa. How does that sound?"
Rory nodded, her head resting on Beth’s shoulder. "Good," she whispered.
“If you need anything, don’t be afraid to call me,” Leah told them as they left the gym, knowing it was the first time they were dealing with a sick Rory.
The drive home was quiet, with Rory dozing off in her car seat, Twix clutched tightly to her. Once home, Viv and Beth settled Rory on the sofa, wrapping her in her favourite blanket and turning on her favourite show to keep her entertained.
“Can you take some medicine for me, Roo?” Viv asked, crouching down in front of her as she lay on the sofa with her head on Beth’s lap.
Rory shook her head and whimpered, "No medicine, Mamma. It tastes yucky," she said, curling into Beth and burying her face into her Mummy's lap.
Viv looked at Beth with concern. "Roo, it’ll help you feel better, I promise," she tried to reassure Rory, holding up the little cup with the pink liquid. "Just a little bit, and then we can have a treat after."
Rory shook her head once again, "No, no," she mumbled, "I don’t want it."
Beth stroked Rory’s hair gently, trying to comfort her. "I know it’s not fun but it’ll make you feel better!"
Rory shook her head again, tightening her grip on Beth. "No, Mummy. Don’t want it," she said stubbornly.
Viv exchanged a glance with Beth, understanding how hard it was for their little girl to take medicine, especially when she wasn’t feeling well. “If you take it, Mamma will go get you a special treat!”
Rory peeked her head out, considering the offer before nodding, “O..Okay I’ll take it.”
“Good girl!” Viv said as she handed the medicine to Beth, who carefully administered it to Rory.
Viv slipped out to the kitchen, grabbing some of Rory’s favourite cookies as her promised treat. She returned to the living room with a smile, setting the snack down on the coffee table.
“Here you go, Roo,” Viv said, holding out the cookies. “You did so well with the medicine, mijn meisje.”
Rory’s eyes lit up at the sight of the cookies. “Cookies!” she whispered, reaching for them.
Beth helped her sit up a bit and took a few bites of the cookies. Rory seemed to be a little more cheerful with the treat, though still tired and pale. Viv and Beth exchanged relieved smiles as Rory’s spirits seemed to lift slightly.
Beth gently combed her fingers through Rory’s hair. “Why don’t we just relax for a while and watch Rapunzel?”
Rory nodded, snuggling back into the blanket. Viv turned on the TV and put on Rapunzel, a movie they had lost count of how many times they had seen it.
As the movie played, Viv and Beth took turns offering Rory sips of water. She snuggled into Viv, Twix of course by her side. Now and again she’d become restless and end up swapping over to Beth, unable to get comfortable.
Halfway through the movie, Rory fell asleep, allowing them to slip away and cook a quick dinner together.
“She’s okay, you know?” Beth said as she moved around the kitchen.
Viv nodded, “I know, I just can’t help but worry about her. You know what I’m like with my anxiety, it’s ten times worse with Rory.”
Beth nodded, understanding exactly how Viv felt. "I know, love. I worry too, but we’re doing everything we can for her."
Viv leaned against the counter, watching Beth chop vegetables. "I just want to make sure she’s alright. It’s hard to see her so upset and unwell."
Beth turned to Viv with a reassuring smile. "We’re doing pretty good I think. She's got us to take care of her, and that’s what matters. We’ll keep an eye on her and make sure she gets the rest she needs."
As they prepared dinner, they talked quietly about their plans for the next few days, trying to shift their focus from worry. They discussed possible adjustments to their schedules and how best to support Rory.
Dinner was simple, once they finished tidying up they returned to the living room. Rory was still fast asleep.
Beth gently woke Rory. “Hey, sweetie, it’s time to go to bed. Let’s get you comfy, okay?”
Rory stirred, blinking sleepily as she looked up at Beth with a faint smile. “Mummy? Big bed?”
“That’s right, I’m here,” Beth said softly. “Let’s get you into the big bed with us tonight.”
They changed her into a fresh set of pyjamas and settled her into their bed, which was already prepared with extra pillows and blankets for comfort. Viv made her a few pieces of toast which she just nibbled at.
Rory seemed more at ease in the large bed, the soft sheets and familiar scent providing some relief. Viv and Beth lay down on either side, gently tucking her in.
Beth ran her fingers through Rory’s hair, whispering soothingly, “We’re right here with you, Roo. Just relax and try to get some sleep.”
Viv turned off the lights, leaving only a small night light on. She laid down on the other side of Rory, reading Rory's favourite short book to her as she drifted off to sleep.
Rory’s eyelids fluttered open and closed once again. “Love you, Mummy. Love you, Mamma.”
“Love you too, sweetheart,” Viv replied, leaning over to kiss Rory’s forehead. “Get some rest now.”

I Couldn’t Have, I Was Playing Hopscotch with Hawkmoth
Felix slid into his seat next to Dupain-Cheng, wondering what would happen today.
It seemed that her new policy of dealing with Lila’s lies and the simultaneous ire of the class was to say whatever crazy thing popped into her head whenever they accused her of something. It had been rather entertaining, to say the least.
The first time she’d done it, their faces had been so comical that it had made Felix wish he’d brought his camera to school.
“Marinette! How could you shove Lila into the lockers?” Kim had stood in front of the crowd, his arms crossed in what was clearly meant to be an intimidating pose.
Marinette had looked up with a blank expression.
“I couldn’t have, I was playing hopscotch with Hawkmoth. He’s a really bad loser, so I had to leave before he had a full-on temper tantrum.” She had said it with the blandest tone he’d ever heard her use, which only added to the effect.
Everyone’s mouths had opened and closed like a fish’s, trying to figure out how to respond to her answer. It was obviously not true, but how did someone respond to that?
She’d held Kim’s gaze, no trace of amusement on her face.
It had worked exactly how he suspected she intended; they hadn’t managed to come up with anything before Bustier had come back in the room, breezily instructing everyone to turn to page 294 in their textbooks.
The next time, it seemed that they had come a little better prepared, allowing Alix to lead the charge. She was notorious for having a witty retort to everything, so it made sense. Unfortunately, Marinette had also come with a plan.
“Marinette! Care to tell us why you sabotaged Lila’s project in the art room?”
Marinette had held up a finger, digging in her backpack. The class had watched with interest, as this was the first reaction that hadn’t been outright hostile or bland.
She’d pulled out her tablet and typed something before turning it around.
Can’t talk. I lost my voice after too much yelling at the heavy metal concert I went to last night.
Alix had blinked at the idea of sugar-sweet Marinette attending a heavy metal concert, but recovered quickly. “Ok, so type out why you destroyed her project!”
Some more typing, then a response. Couldn’t have, I was helping scientists extract DNA from mosquitoes in amber to make dinosaurs.
“That’s the plot of Jurassic Park!”
Where do you think they got the idea from?
Alix had stared for a moment more before throwing up her hands. “This is useless, she’s clearly gone off the deep end!” She’d stormed out, leaving the rest of the class behind, unsure of what to do now that they’d lost their ringer.
Again, Bustier had made the decision of what to do for them, coming in with a reminder of the worksheet they had due at the end of class.
Needless to say, Felix believed that this was a very good use of her creative mind. Watching her outsmart the idiots of the class in her own way was endlessly amusing and had quickly become his favorite part of the day.
Today, before the daily confrontation, Bustier had assigned them a project, a partner project with their deskmate. For Felix, that was Marinette. Since they’d been working on the project all day, Lila hadn’t had the chance to leave and lie about anything, pushing the confrontation to likely after the lunch break. Felix could hardly wait to see what she said this time. Maybe this project would allow him to get to know and understand her better.
“So for the project I was thinking that we make a PowerPoint-” Marinette cut herself off, staring at him with a puzzled expression. “You’re almost smiling at me. Are you feeling alright?”
Felix immediately wiped his expression, mildly mortified that he’d outwardly shown his amusement, but forged ahead. “I see you got your voice back. Was the heavy metal worth it?”
“What? Oh, that. I’m fine.”
“Oh, I know. Your recent interactions with the class have been thoroughly entertaining.”
“Glad you’ve been enjoying it. Confusion is certainly better than outright hostility.” She sighed, suddenly looking very tired.
“It’s about time that you started retaliating, even if it’s just by scrambling the two collective brain cells they have left. I don’t know that I could’ve put up with Rossi’s bullshit for as long as you have with the patience you’ve had.”
Her eyes snapped to him. “You know she’s lying?”
He scoffed. “Please, don’t insult my intelligence like that. Of course I know she’s lying.”
Marinette was silent. He could almost see the burden on her shoulders getting lighter with the realization she wasn’t alone in knowing Rossi was a liar and was about to comment further on it when Marinette smiled. It was a mischievous smile that promised trouble, which immediately intrigued Felix. He hadn’t seen much of her troublemaker side except for the few glimpses from her last interactions with the class, but he had a feeling there was one hell of a wicked streak somewhere underneath that cotton candy.
“You wanna help?”
He considered for a moment. Was it worth getting involved in? On one hand, it was enjoyable to just be merely a spectator. On the other hand, he wanted to know more about this side of Marinette and it was always enjoyable to see idiots put in their place.
“I’m in.”
- - - - - -
After school, Felix and Marinette were at their desk, waiting for the confrontation.
And like a bad penny, the class came back to try again. It seemed that they were shuffling who was leading the ‘Marinette how dare you’ brigade, and this time they had chosen Adrien. Felix knew about her crush on him, so he supposed that it was a rather strategic move on their part, if he wasn’t able to see the barely hidden disdain for the boy on her face.
“Marinette, you know that it wasn’t kind of you to throw Lila’s backpack down the stairs while she was in the cafeteria. That’s not the everyday Ladybug we all know and love.”
Ah, the guilt trip method. Usually foolproof on someone as empathetic as Marinette, rendered useless by Marinette’s developing apathy towards the class.
“It must’ve been someone else. I spent the lunch break teaching Mr. Ramier’s pigeons how to moonwalk. I wouldn’t have gotten back in time if Felix hadn’t realized the time and dragged me back.”
“Now, Marinette, don’t lie about it.”
“I’m not. Felix?”
Felix nodded, pulling up a video on his phone and showing it to the class. In it, Marinette stood next to some pigeons, clearly demonstrating how to moonwalk. The pigeons looked on curiously, occasionally pecking at her shoes and awkwardly waddling backwards. Mr. Ramier sat in the background, alternately cheering or throwing birdseed to the pigeons. The video clearly had the timestamp of about ten minutes before their break ended, so they would’ve had to rush to get back to class. There was no way they could’ve done anything.
Marinette looked back at Adrien and folded her arms. “Well? I’ll take my apology now.”
Felix snorted at the flabbergasted expression on Adrien’s face, casually putting his arm over Marinette’s shoulders. He didn’t really know why he did it, only that it felt right. Apparently she didn’t mind, since she just readjusted to be a bit more comfortable. “Give him a minute, he’s rebooting.”
“Wait, are the two of you dating?” He blurted out, then immediately looked like he regretted it.
This time, Marinette snorted. “Because the only reason he’d support me was if he was my boyfriend? No, that’s what friends are meant to do, Adrien.” The last sentence was laden with poison that Felix didn’t know the context for, but Adrien did, because he flinched.
“I’m sorry,” he muttered, turning away.
As soon as the class turned away, her head fell on his shoulder, her face crumpling in pain. He didn’t know what to do but hug her shoulders tighter. He’d seen that her love language was physical touch, so maybe it would help? After a while, her face smoothed and she lifted her head, seemingly doing better.
“Hey, thanks for backing me up.”
Felix shrugged. “It was fun.”
She turned to look at him. “No, I’m serious. It’s been a long time since anyone’s had my back, even if it’s just to mess with someone. Thank you.”
Why did he suddenly feel all warm inside? “So what’s the next plan?”
Marinette looked surprised. “You want to be involved in the next one?”
“Sure, why not?”
She looked away, her cheeks turning a light pink. “Maybe we could, well, I don’t know, I don’t want you thinking that I’m just saying this because Adrien said it because I promise I’m really not, but maybe we could, um, discuss it on a date?”
“But we hardly know each other.” What did she see in him that she liked? Sure, he’d helped her once, but that was hardly grounds for someone liking someone, was it?
“That’s the point of the date. To get to know someone. Besides, I want to see if you’re as nice as I suspect you are under that prickly exterior.” She was looking at him again, cheeks now a bright red, but with determination in her eyes.
Well, hadn’t he wanted to get to know her better too? “Sure.”

So I've been trying to get a gist of post-time skip Ben based on Chaos Theory trailer (obsessed again? wrong, I never stopped being obsessed), and I feel like I can optimistically assume that his personality will make sense for his character development that we've seen in Camp Cretaceous.
I made a post about it once but to sum it up shortly:
season 1 Ben is a boy who was clearly raised in some sort of bubble (a different bubble than Kenji) - he is scared and anxious (not just regarding dinosaurs); at the same time we get hints that he can be very passionate and has a sense of an adventure (he's just scared to cross the line). Season 2 Ben experienced a massive traumatic event, to put it nicely, his personality was put into a blender which was then turned on and left unsupervised for several days. His season 2 jungle boy persona, while still consistent with the traits showed prior (as mentioned - Ben was both passionate and adventurous before - he was just too shy to act on it), is mostly a result of a severe trauma; meaning his personality feels more extreme because he had to rely on extremes to survive. Season 3 Ben is one of the most interesting "forms of evolution". The trauma is still fresh but at the same time Ben tries to think beyond it – wants to make decisions based not on "fight or flight" response but on his own feelings on the matter, it's very interesting but in this season - though not visibly - he slightly reconnects with season 1 personality (slightly) for example by considering advantages and disadvantages of his actions (leaving Nublar or staying) (it doesn't apply to every situation which is actually quite perfect because at this point he is still pretty damn traumatized). Then we have season 4 which is actually very important for Ben's character arc because, for the second time, he loses his footing - Nublar was wild but familiar, Nublar was 'never without Bumpy'. Mantah Corp Island is completely new and Ben is forced to reestablish what actions and behaviors are going to pay off in this environment; ironically enough, I think that the distance from Nublar is good for him - Nublar was also the environment where he got traumatized, personally I think that the island could, to some extent, prevent him from healing. And ofc, season 5 - Ben shows clear signs that he is going to evolve as a person; he mellows down not because he gets soft in a bad way but because he recognizes that he doesn't always have to be a knife. At the same time, he is not hesitant to strike if the situation calls.
So, now let's take a quick look at Ben in the Chaos Theory trailer. I noticed four traits that we can spot in that short clip:
He has that sort of shy-silly boy charm to him. A subtle mixture of bashfulness ("hey Darius," his voice is amused but he also sounds a bit apologetic). That is something that especially shines through his character in season 1
When he needs to be serious - he is ("Someone is hunting us"). This is such Ben-thing to do, especially in season 4 and season 5 Ben – when he is learning how to distinguish between a real danger and something that doesn't require setting the world on fire.
He gets slightly panicky sometimes ("before it's too late!") which is a fantastic news because trauma really messed up Ben's sense of danger and it's just good to knows that he feels fear like a normal person (yes, when someone is hunting you for sport, I guess everyone would be a little bit panicky)
From what I can tell - when the situation calls he does display signs of recklessness - notice how he's driving the car. Notice how Darius is visibly not impressed with Ben behind the wheel. Now, sure we can't tell whether someone (something?) is chasing them at that exact moment but either way - it seems that Ben is in a hurry and, excuse me but, he does not give a flying fck about safety on the road (which is! funny considering how he was driving the gyrosphere in season 1)
So yeah, overall, I think that we are going to get a nice continuation of Ben's character arc in Chaos Theory. I certainly hope so because watching Ben grow as a person was one of my favorite aspects of Camp Cretaceous!
Ah, and also... I really hope that at some point in Chaos Theory Ben will do something unhinged out of nowhere and the rest of the campers (because we will see all of them - I don't doubt that) will look at each other, nod, and say "ah, yes, that's our Ben"

JWCT S2 SPOLERS / my thoughts, review or something like that idk
I love how the season started with the characters joking around. You can really see the strength of their bond and how comfortable they are with each other. Honestly, the dino sound-guessing games are among my favorite moments on the show because it’s just pure goofiness. Moments like these are rare since the show usually focuses more on dinosaur survival, so I found it really special to see them hanging out and just being friends. By the way, Darius winking at Ben after he won was really cool🤭.
Darius was hard for me to describe this season.
I hate how those workers were mean to him on the ship. He’s such a sweetheart😠. He’s always trying his best.
The way Darius tried to comfort that baby dino and his shocked expression when it got snatched away by another was heartbreaking.
He really needs to stop being so selfless, though. Like, the moment when they said, “Won’t that lead them to us?” and Darius replied, “Not us, me,” before taking off with the flashlight to lead the dino away from the others? Stop risking your life!!
I’m going to be honest: one of the scenes that made me scream was when that phone popped up in front of the dino’s face—it gave me goosebumps!
Darius is such a gem; did you see his smile when he saw Zayna hugging the dinosaur? It was such a wholesome moment. I know he likes to see people bonding with dinosaurs instead of hurting them.
I love how intrigued he is by the dinos’ behavior—classic dino nerd! It reminds me of camp days when he would sit down and scribble in his notebook.
I also loved that flashback from Brooklyn when she went to Kenji’s place and they were all FaceTiming, and his Wi-Fi was acting up. I don’t know why, but that felt like such a Darius moment.
I love how he tried to comfort Zayna when she was making decisions. He totally understands how hard it is to be a leader and make tough decisions—he’s been in Zayna’s shoes before. When he tried to reassure her by saying the dinos in that one lab aren’t harmful, I think he remembered that they used to be her age and were terrified too. I loved all the scenes where he was just trying to connect with her.
I felt so bad for Brooklynn; the poor girl has been through so much trauma. My heart broke every time I saw her cry because of her hand. The way they showed her tearing up and her lips quivering made me want to cry too; they did a great job with that.
And her struggle with one hand… :( I know she doesn’t want to draw attention to her missing hand, and I could tell she felt uncomfortable when Ben pointed it out. I believe she hasn’t really accepted it yet.
I felt for her many times in the series, but the fear in her eyes when the dino approached her in Blondie’s apartment was so intense. Why are they making her face her trauma? I felt terrible for her.
Nonetheless, Brooklyn is so badass this season! I loved her riding the motorcycle.
I know she has a lot on her shoulders at such a young age; I just hope she gets the rest she deserves in S3 (with yk who, wink wink).
I’m going to be honest: the handler showing up like that made sense, but I was mad because I was kind of shipping her and Brooklynn.
Another thing I noticed was how plain Brooklynn’s phone was. I thought Brooklyn was all about style! This feels so off.
I’m going to be honest: I turned away during the Kenlynn moments because they felt so forced.
Despite it all, I love her sense of humor—“Notice anything different? It’s the hair! (while missing a hand)”—classic Brooklynn.
Sammy, my heart broke when I saw her watching Zayna and Mama Aminata. I know she misses her family.
I believe that she would make such a good older sister. I loved her interactions with Zayna; the way she talks to her is so soft and patient. I wish to see them more in S3.
Yaz might not show it often, but she really cares deeply for the N6.
I feel like her love language in friendship leans more toward words of affirmation, acts of service, or quality time.
I love how Yaz tries to be there for Kenji and encourages him to open up. She’s really observant, not just with Kenji but with Ben in the later episodes as well.
I also love how she finally stops Kenji from doing something stupid that could get him killed. I know Yaz is trying her best to help; she’s so observant and picks up on everything.
But I could feel her stress when everyone was asking her what to do next. Ben was asking for help about Brooklyn but didn’t explain well, and Sammy just came up to her saying, “There’s a dead body!” She was like, “One problem at a time,” and it was perfect. You could feel her stress; she just wanted to make sure everything went well and help everyone.
Ben had a lot to handle this season, and I felt really bad for him. He was going through all sorts of emotions and reactions. His panic attack (or something like that) was so well-written and drawn; the emotional depth was spot on.
I loved the scene where he saw the wallpaper on Brooklyn’s phone; he froze for a split second, and you could see he was getting emotional or reminiscing. It was such a short scene but stuck in my mind.
That text Ben sent Brooklynn was so sassy: “You could’ve sent us a postcard” after finding out she’s alive.
That scene where the flying dinos attacked their boat— I know Ben was stressing!
But Ben seeing Brooklynn for the first time was so ughhh. Like he was speechless, but the moment where he tried to hug her and she stepped back made me feel so bad for him! Like he just wanted to hug his dead but not dead best friend😔.
Kenji was dealing with a tough time of grieving, coping through humor and risking his life. I know he felt like his life had no meaning anymore and he could just take risks because he felt he had nothing to lose.
I love how caring he was for Bumpy Junior; he jumped into the ACTUAL fire or the ocean without hesitation. He truly has a big heart, and everyone has a place in it, no matter their past actions.
Kenji has such an annoying older brother energy. The way he talks to Zayna or rests his hand on Yaz’s head while they were on the boat and he was trying to go to the other side—he’s so annoying sometimes.
Yet, again, Kenji has such a big heart. I loved the way he stressed over Yaz when she was left behind, and I could see the tears in his eyes after he saw and hugged her, relieved that she was alive. I know he couldn’t handle another loss.
I LOVED BENJI THIS SEASON. “My main man Benny”—BENJI is so back, y’all. One of my favorite duos! I loved their jokes and banter. Give me more of them in S3 please.
The Benji angst when Kenji felt betrayed by Ben for keeping Brooklynn’s survival a secret! But him punching the glass behind him is such a stereotypical ‘angry boyfriend letting out his anger’ move.
Yazji hug—I LOVE THEIR FRIENDSHIP! If you had asked me back in JWCC S1, I would never have imagined Yaz and Kenji forming such a close bond, but this season showed them getting even closer. I love their friendship and how Yaz checks up on him.
I would have totally shipped them if Yasammy wasn’t a thing! (Yasammy is number one tho!)
Yasammy, I love you guys so much. You guys have my heart. The way they cuddle and snuggle is just adorable. Yaz hugging Sammy while hiding from the blind Dino—precious! That’s her comfort.
Every moment between Darius and Kenji makes me ugly smile. I love their brotherhood!
The dynamic between Darius and Kenji remains as strong as ever—nothing has really changed between them, even though a lot has happened.
I loved the scene where Kenji’s mood flipped after baby-talking to Bumpy Junior and then immediately snapping at Darius to “shut up.” I’m pretty sure he picked up that baby talk from Brooklynn tho…
I loved Mama Aminata! That scene where she stepped in front of Yaz and Sammy, shielding them from the attacking dino, was amazing. I love her. I love many of her quotes, like, “If we could find a way to coexist, why wouldn’t we?” That line hit hard. “While you’re here with me, you’re all my children.” I LOVE HER!
I loved how Zayna was portrayed. At first, she seemed like that sweet kid who wouldn’t go out of her comfort zone, but then she started trying to get out of it and gain confidence. It was obvious she was doubting herself at the beginning, but as the story goes on, I felt her becoming more confident in her steps. I also loved her bickering with Darius.
That Blondie is such a diva; I know she’s a villain, but damn.
“Someone call a taxi for Baba?” I like that man. He reminds me of Darius.

Turn - A Pedrotober Drabble
Day 11 of Pedrotober: Any Max Pedrotober hosted by @norththelemon and @alyssamariag. View the full prompt list HERE and view my entire Pedrotober drabble catalog HERE.
Pairing: Joel Miller x f!reader
Rating: E because I apparently can't write anything non-explicit with this man. Unprotected p in v, brief mention of oral (f receiving), fingering.
Word Count: 1810
a/n: This is a No Outbreak AU because we like to live happily with Joel Miller as if nothing bad ever happened ever. a/n: I legitimately blacked out with this one. Completely. Originally I was going to write a cute little fic about Mr. Ben and the next thing I know this was on the page. Yes, a Max is involved here. You'll see. I offer this again to the wives of Joel Miller. I hope it holds you over until the wolf thing.
"I do not like horror movies, Joel."
He's been insistent all day. Horror movies, he has so proclaimed, are a Miller family tradition on Halloween, but you'll have nothing of it. They freak you out, with their gore and their jump scares and their monsters. Half the time the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park were enough for you to lose sleep, and now he wanted you to watch something with vampires?
"It's not that bad. It's barely horror at all, actually," he assures you, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind. You have to admit that his tactics are starting to wear you down, from the way he'd crawled under the covers the second you'd woken up to the way he was pressed against your back now.
Still, you shook your head. "It's not happening."
"Come on," Sarah moans from her place at the kitchen table. "He's not kidding. It's literally not even scary."
"Scary is a relative term," you insist, trying your best to ignore the way Joel's hands are teasing the skin beneath the t-shirt you're wearing. "I just never understood the hype. Why would I want to watch people get eaten alive?"
Sarah looks over at you both with exasperated eyes. "They're not being eaten alive, they're being turned." Apparently, she's the foremost authority on vampire terminology now.
"She's right," Joel mutters against the back of your head, pressing a kiss to your hair before stepping away to lean against the table, joining his daughter in a united front to convince you.
"It has the actor you like in it," Sarah emphasizes. This causes you to turn to look at her with narrowed eyes. She's smiling widely, ignoring her dad when he asks her what actor she's talking about, his own gaze flickering back and forth between the two of you as he tries to work out the secret you two seemingly share.
You sigh. "It's not scary at all?"
Sarah shakes her head. "Nope. I mean, there's some blood. Okay, a lot of blood. But it isn't scary, I promise."
You continue to contemplate for a moment, weighing your options. You know this is important to them, to Sarah specifically, and you want to be part of the traditions they're sharing with you. And it is just one movie. "Fine," you agree, and you know you've made the right decision when Sarah jumps up to hug you tightly.
Joel, however, remains where he is at the table, still trying to work something out in his head as Sarah rushes to the living room to start up the DVD player. You follow a moment later with your food, pressing a kiss to Joel's cheek as you pass to follow his daughter.
"Wait," he calls after you, "what actor?"
~
You have to admit, they were right. The movie isn't all that bad. Sure, it leaves you questioning why Joel allowed his daughter to watch this, but you also can't complain about the way his arm is wrapped around your shoulders, securing you to his side any time the gore becomes a bit too much. Plus, seeing your favorite actor play a cocky businessman named Max sort of makes it all worth it. He's younger here than you're used to seeing him, and clean-shaven. Still undeniably handsome, but it does make you grateful for the scruff of Joel's jaw when you hide your face against it.
You're somewhere in the middle of the film when you catch Sarah continuously checking her phone. "You gonna put that away?" Joel huffs from beside you because of course he's noticed too.
"My friends are having a sleepover and asked if I wanted to come," she explains, still frantically typing away on the screen. Your eyes fall back to Max, letting the scene between Joel and Sarah play out while you're distracted. Truthfully, you're unsure why you didn't watch this sooner.
"Hey," Joel nuzzles the side of your head, his hand running down to your waist and pulling you from the trance you've fallen into. "You still with me?"
The movie is nearing its climax, and you know already that you're about to watch yet another death scene from the man on screen. "Yeah," you whisper unconvincingly.
He shifts slightly, "I don't believe you." His breath is hot against you ear, and you whimper slightly when his lips trace down to your neck.
"Sarah," you whisper harshly, a warning reminder that his daughter is sitting right next to both of you on the couch.
Joel grins against you, one hand pulling the hair back from your shoulder to give him better access. "Sarah's not here. She left fifteen minutes ago."
You're pulled from your daze and your eyes dart to the last place you saw her on the other side of Joel. Sure enough, the seat was empty. "Where did she go?" you ask, your body reacting a lot faster than your brain as your boyfriend's hand trails along your body. There are screams on the TV, but you don't know from who because your eyes have fallen shut at the sensation of his tongue as he licks a stripe across your skin.
"Friend's house," he informs you. "Gone for the rest of the night."
Oh. Oh.
"Joel." You aren't sure if his name is more of a plea or a question, but you aren't about to stop him as his hand again teases the skin of your stomach, except this time it's reaching lower. "What are you doing?"
"Turning you," he jokes gruffly before latching onto your neck. You wince as he marks you, but you do nothing to push him away. Instead, your hands grip into his curls, searching for something, anything to ground you as he sets you ablaze.
"Gonna tell me about that actor you're so enchanted by?" he grits out, fingers dipping beneath the waistband of your leggings. "Because I'd be willing to bet that I can do a lot better."
You turn so you can catch his lips, teeth clashing as he swallows the proper moan he pulls from your lungs. Your hands are everywhere, and so are his as he encourages you to throw one leg over his lap, holding tight to your thighs as he stands with you in his arms. The movie continues to play as he carries you from the room, leaving Max behind to meet his fate.
"He's got you all transfixed," he drawls out as he tosses you onto the bed, immediately covering you with his body a moment later, lips hovering above yours. "Am I not enough? Joel grinds his hips into yours, his length hard against your center, and you can already feel how slick you are. How much you need whatever he's willing to give you.
How much you need him.
"Yeah? You need me, baby?" Joel questions, reading your mind as his hands make quick work of your shirt so he can latch onto your breast, the other pinched between his fingers in a way that has you arching off the bed. "Gonna come for me?"
God, you want to. You want all of him. Inside you, around you, completely smothering you, and you rake at his back, surely leaving marks on the skin beneath the shirt that still covers him. He lets you pull it off before he does the same with your leggings and underwear, revealing a mess that's solely for him.
He needs no guidance as his fingers circle your clit, back and forth until your whole world is spinning. You think you're begging him, to give you more, but you're mesmerized in an entirely different way now. It causes the world around you to grow hazy.
"Stay with me," he whispers, and you fight against the fog as he slides one finger, then two, then three into you easily. "That's it," he talks you through it, but you're long lost to the sensation. Completely absorbed in the way he drags his fingers along your walls just so. You thrust against him as pleasure sparks behind your eyelids, and then you're gushing against his hand.
It takes a moment for you to regain some sort of consciousness, but when you do, Joel is already sliding his cock along your slit, patiently waiting for you to come back to earth. "Still thinking about him?" he asks you, lips again finding that spot behind your ear, sucking your skin. You can only shake your head, words far from the forefront of your mind. His response is timed perfectly with the push of his length into your welcoming heat, "good."
He rocks against you, setting a brutal pace that almost matches the intensity of the film you'd watched earlier. The frantic need. Here, in his bed, it's not a need for blood, but for something else entirely. It's intoxicating, the way he grinds you into the mattress, driving you higher and higher and higher.
"Taking me so well." And you are, you know you are because he's filling you in a way that only he can. Completely. Thoroughly. Unconditionally. He shifts, hands pressing your legs further apart as you writhe beneath him, pinning you down as he hits something inside you that has you gripping the sheets at your side.
You whine out his name, the high-pitched sound joining the symphony of noises filling the bedroom. The creak of the bedframe beneath you and the slap of his skin against yours as he somehow moves faster. The heavy sound of your breathing, rough as it mingles with the grunt he makes when you shift your hips higher. The way you gasp breathlessly when he takes your hand and guides it to your center.
"Fuck," he mutters. "Come on, come on, come on." It's a chant as he changes the angle again to something devastating. You know he's close, you can tell from the way he's panting, but you know he won't fall without you. Thankfully, you're not far behind.
The room is silent then. That or you've blacked out entirely as pleasure consumes every fiber of your being. You're faintly aware of him spilling into you, heat radiating through your body before he collapses against you, his weight settling you into the bed as his lips once again find a home along your collarbone. You're tugging on his curls when you finally regain some resemblance of your consciousness.
"So," he whispers against your skin, "are you pro horror movie now?"
It's an insane thought, but you love him for the way that that's where his mind is at when his cock is softening inside you. "It wasn't really a horror movie anyway," you return, wrapping a leg around his waist to keep him where he is, "but perhaps I could be convinced if my favorite actor..."
Joel silences the thought with his lips. A convincing argument indeed.

Former pet care industry worker here, you're right about the bird thing. Oh my Gods you're right. This is honestly a big problem in general when it comes to moral panic in the pet care industry, some information gets passed around without nuance and all of the sudden people are making major decisions that actually negatively affect the healthcare of their animals without considering the care that their individual pet needs.
When I worked at a petstore, bird owners were always the most defensive and self immolating about their animal husbandry, no matter how good it was. It was like they always had to tell me how well cared for their bird, like I'd judge them if they didn't prove they were an amazing bird owner.
Someone would always inherit a large parrot, give it the best care possible and then lament to me- "I feel bad he's not in the Amazon, I wouldn't have bought him, I don't think keeping him is right"
And like bestie your bird would not feel at home there, you've already told me all about how he loves when you put on Scooby Doo and sing the song with him, he's at home nowhere else. In the picture you showed me, his feathers look great, his eyes are bright and clear. Enjoy the life you have with him! If he's happy and healthy it doesn't matter!
I must have had a tons of different versions of that chat with parrot owners it's crazy.
THANK YOU
The moral panic about parrot ownership is DAMAGING and it needs to mcfucking STOP
I try to not talk about my birds like this because I KNOW they are happier with me than they would ever be in the wild.
This is Ellie. She was abandoned by her first owners and was left on the streets of Milwaukee for months, before being found and brought to a shelter, before we could bring her home. She went from constantly chewing on her feathers and feet and being anxious all the time and biting everything, to slowly trusting us and our surroundings. Now she has the healthiest, softest feathers; the most brilliant and curious mind; and just a wonderful enthusiasm that infects everyone who meets her with happiness.
Can you really tell me that bird would be better in South America, away from her flock (me, my spouse, our other birds)?
You can't.
Yes, there are many people who don't treat birds seriously and see them as barely alive, and they should not have parrots.
But that doesn't mean no one should. And that rhetoric - that no one should - needs to stop, before shelters around the world just collapse under their own weight.
Anyways, I get to go home from work now. Can't wait to see my five tiny dinosaurs

Redemption arcs and restorative justice in Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur Season 2 A analysis
(Taken from my thread on twitter and explained in more detail in here) In this post i'm going to talk about one of the main themes of MGADD Season 2 A, which is, as the title says, redemption arcs and restorative justice. I'm going to analyse different episodes that tackle this theme and how they are followed up in the rest of this part of the season.
Spoilers down below
One of the big themes in MGADD Season 2 A is the idea of how people who are ¨villains¨ have a lot more in them and the reason why they became evil is more complicated than it seems. Also how they have the capacity to regret their past actions and change for the better.
Restorative justice is a whole complex topic, but to put it in simple words: It has to do with the criminal rethinking their past actions and doing something to make amends with the person or people they hurt. It's less about punishment and more about what can the person do to fix their bad decisions and be pushed to be better in the future.
While redemption arcs and restorative justice aren't that rare to find in Disney TVA animated series and other animated shows, emphasis on this theme in superhero animated series is a lot more rare to find in my personal experience.
In superhero shows the line between who is good and bad is very clear. The heroes are good and the villains are evil. Villains are evil because they chose to be or they ¨were born that way¨. The possibility of redemption and rehabilitation is often seen as naive, and at times mocked at. Punishment and incarceration is seen as preferable over rehabilitation in these type of shows.
That's not to say that redemption arcs don't exist in superhero shows, but it is more rare and the idea that villains are just evil is what gets pushed the most.
Quick Whip/ Zekiyah
In MGADD, this idea is being to put into question in Season 2 episode 4 ¨Ride or Die¨ in which Lunella caughts a well known criminal known as ¨Quick Whip¨. Lunella reports to SHIELD that she is going to take Quick Whip there by using a sub train.
While they are on the train, the power goes out for a moment and Lady Bullseye shows up with her followers, looking for Quickwhip, who used to work for her. Lady Bullseye doesn't allow people to ¨get out¨ from her criminal group, explaining why she is here since Quickwhip left it.
Lunella is forced to work together with Quickwhip to power up the train and get away from Lady Bullseye. For a good part of the episode Lunella considers that Quickwhip is only a villain and that's what she would always be.
However, in a moment they are hiding from the Diabolical Darts, Lunella learns that Quickwhip's real name is Zekiyah and that she used to be a person who only dreamed of starting a bakery and spent hours every day to study how to make pastry. Once she came to New Work, it was too expensive for her to afford a place and soon she was on the streets.
Lady Bullseye took advantage of Zekiyah's difficult situation and persuade her into joining her crime group. Zekiyah became pretty good at stealing but over time she realized how she strayed away from the path she originally set up for her. She left the Diabolical Darts and has been in the run ever since.
Seeing that Zekiyah had more going on that she assumed, Lunella thinks there has to be other way for her to be more than just a ¨street rat¨ and teams up with Zekiyah to take down Lady Bullseye and her followers. When she is about to give Zekiyah to SHIELD, she talks about how she wants to help everyone, included those who happened to fall in a bad path and asks to try something different this time.
By the end of the episode Lunella reconsiders her views about crime and such and decides to open a program that could help villains who regret their past actions and want to make things right. She gives Zekiyah (Quick Whip) a change to work in a bakery like she wanted originally when she came to New York.
Kid Kree
In episode five ¨Kid Kree¨, the one following ¨Ride or Die¨ we are introduced to a new character ¨Kid Kree/Marvin¨, who is original from the MGADD comics. He is a kree teenager that was sent by his father, Pad-Varr, to capture a superhero to prove his worth as warrior after not reaching the expectations on his homeworld planet.
Lunella meets Marvin at his first day at school. During gym class she notices that Marvin shares similar interests in science and math like she does. Overtime the two develop a close friendship over sharing interests and views of seeing the world, happy to find someone else that they can be their ¨nerd¨ selfs with. Lunella because she didn't know much kids from her age that we into same stuff like she is and Marvin since he feels like he can be himself around Lunella.
In meantime Lunella and Marvin continue to fight each other as Moon Girl and Kid Kree, without knowing each other's identity. They have a bit of rivarly, with Lunella trying to come up with new ways to outsmart ¨Kid Kree¨. During one of those fights Moon Girl defeats Kid Kree and he accidentally drops his communicator, the one his father usually contacts him with. Lunella takes and tries to hack into it. She discovers an video recording of Marvin talking about his mission on Earth and revealing that he is Kid Kree when he takes his helmet off.
Lunella gets angry at this and, without thinking too much of the implications, she ends up answering a call from Pad-Varr and tells him that she has defeated Marvin, making Pad-Varr clearly upset.
When Marvin comes to eat dinner at Lafayette's home, Lunella tells to Marvin that she knows about him being Kid Kree by giving him his communicator and adds that she has called his father. This makes Marvin scared and the Lafayettes ask him why he is worried about his own father.
Marvin explains isn't happy at being a warrior and it is forced by his father to be something that he is not. His father doesn't approve of Marvin's preference for science, making their relationship pretty strained. In general Marvin doesn't feel comfortable with being himself on his planet nor with his father. He thought that Lunella was someone who understood him but he is sad that apparently this wasn't the case. He lefts the house upon hearing that Pad-Varr's ship is coming to get him.
Lunella goes after Marvin and apologizes to him for jumping to conclusions about his true intentions. Pad-Varr orders Marvin to catch Moon Girl and Devil, which he does, but moments after he traps his father and later Lunella and Devil helped Kid Kree with standing up to him.
Kid Kree expresses to his father that he doesn't want to be a warrior and he is into science instead. Pad-Varr reconsiders this and praises Marvin for his gadgets, telling him that they could be useful for the Kree Empire. Lunella and Marvin remain as friends and keep in contact with each other.
Marvin appears in other episodes like ¨In The Heist¨ and ¨Dancing by Myself¨ where he helps Lunella in different ways and their friendship continues to develop. While Marvin is stil working for the Kree empire, it is likely that he will turn around, like he does in the comics.
With Kid Kree's case, Lunella realized what Marvin was going through and inspired him to stand up against his father to be himself. She made the error of doing some rushed decisions when she found out that he was Kid Kree and apologized for it, both staying as close friends so far.
The Beyonder
In episode ¨Wish Tar¨ the Beyonder shows up again to visit Lunella by showing up from the Wish Tar machine James got from Coney Island. He doesn't understand why Lunella is being hostile towards him, which leads to Lunella and Casey to remind him of the times he messed up with them.
The Beyonder explains to the girls that he has been reflecting since the events from ¨The Great Beyonder¨, when he and Lunella spent days stuck on Molecular Man's destroyed planet and worked together to escape. He also started to see Lunella as a sort of friend after that episode. He wants to makes things right with Lunella but she asks him to leave before he makes things worse.
Later Lunella finds out that a wish she had asked for the Wishtar machine has been granted. Both her and Casey get suspicious about this event and go back to Roll With It to check the machine. It turns out that Beyonder is the one that granted the wish. He tells them that he ¨wants to be a good friend¨ for Lunella by making her wishes become true. Lunella sees the benefit of the wishes and decides to give it a try.
In this episode we see Beyonder using his powers to help Lunella, or at least to be a ¨good friend¨. He has good intentions of be someone better than he was in previous appearances. The problem is that this power goes up to Lunella's head, who ends up taking advantage of Beyonder's good intentions and they have a falling out with him disappearing after Lunella lashes out at him.
While Beyonder had good intentions, his approach wasn't the best since he still has yet to understand how human friendship works. Granting all Lunella's wishes just lead to her take advantage of it and not so much appreciate what Beyonder was trying to do.
From Lunella's part, some of her reactions are understandable since Beyonder did some bad things to her in more than one occasion. In spite of being on friendlier terms after ¨The Great Beyonder¨ she was still angry at him for the things he did in the past. However, as mentioned earlier, the way she used him and lashed out at him was pretty dirty considering that this time Beyonder was trying to be good.
In contrast to Kid Kree, Lunella and Beyonder's friendship took a bad turn and Lunella would have to find a way to apologize to Beyonder for how she lashed out at him. Beyonder has still growing to do, but the fact that he was trying to use his powers to be nice was a good start.
Other episodes worth of mentioning that continue this theme more or less are ¨The Devil You Know¨ and ¨Dog Day Mid-Afternoon¨.
In The Devil You Know Devil joins a group of sidekicks called the ABC that feel mistreated or underappreciated by their heroes-owners. Near the end of the episode it is shown that the conflict was a miscommunication problem and that, in fact, the heroes love their sidekicks.
In the Dog Day Mid-Afternoon Lunella jumps to the wrong conclusions about the dog alien Pops adopts (later named Franklin) being a villain. Later Franklin reveals that he is a space hero and he was on an undercover mision to find the real villain who was stealing dogs using a powerful dog wistle. Lunella and Franklin team up and work together to defeat the main antagonist.
Molecular Man's return.
All this development in Lunella's character in this arc has a conclusion in ¨The Molecular Level¨ when Molecular Man shows up in Lafayette's house and attacks Lunella and her family since Lunella is ¨someone Beyonder cares about¨.
Molecular Man was introduced in ¨The Great Beyonder¨ as someone who suffered the loss of his planet, becoming a wasteland, thanks to the Beyonder's antics. He wants to get revenge on Beyonder for what he did to his planet, being the reason of why Lunella and Beyonder are stuck in that place for days.
He destroys a good part of Lunella's house through ¨The Molecular Level¨ and endangers the Lafayettes. When Lunella finally finds her suit she is able to fight back and defeat him, leaving his body broken.
When she is about to give him the final blow she is reminded of how Molecular Man lost everything to the meteor shower thanks to Beyonder and feels sorry for him. She understands that he went through a lot and gets why he was so angry.
Molecular Man sees Lunella's compasion and says that he is really sorry for attacking her and her family. He admits that he let himself be destroyed by his desire to make others feel his own pain and anger.
Lunella gives him a piece of her self repairing suit so he is able to heal himself and get his powers back. Molecular Man thanks Lunella for understanding and uses his molecular abilities to repair Lafayette's home and heal Pops's broken arm. He promises himself to use his powers to rebuilt his planet from scratch and leaves, saying goodbye to Lunella.
¨The Molecular Level¨ serves as a good conclusion for this part of Lunella's arc in this half of the season. She has grown enough to understand that sometimes people are driven to do bad things for certain reasons. The world is often more complex than it seems to be and there aren't just ¨good¨ and ¨bad¨ guys. She applies the lessons she learned with Molecular Man by showing she gets what he went through and inspires him to use his powers to heal in the future.

actually now thinking about what pajamas everyone in the system would wear if they got to choose
Mike: those yellow atrocities
Chester: DEFINITELY going full blue nightgown and cap with a little ball at the end going snooooork mimimimimi
Svetlana: i could see her in some really nice luxurious pink pajamas with a matching satin bonnet. she appreciates the finer things and bought the pajamas for herself as a treat (she’s so right for doing this btw I’ve also done this)
Vito: boxers. one night Zoey’s like “aren’t you cold” and he says “oh yeah I guess so” and goes and puts on a tank top
Manitoba: manitoba’s one I can’t decide on. partly because I don’t think he fronts much anyway let alone for long enough to need to be the one to sleep. howEVER i think if the others are making bad decisions and staying up too late he’s the one who drags the body to bed, probably just in whatever they’re wearing because he’s not putting up with this shit longer than he has to
Mal: dinosaur onesie check the last post uhhhhh Mal hates having to sleep and so he might not see the point of dedicating any particular clothes to it. he’s used to wearing the same clothes all day anyway (juvie + on the island) and just doesn’t see the point of changing as an extra step. or maybe he feels that pajamas or changing clothes at all leaves him too vulnerable. I think he’d also try to keep himself awake as long as possible (because sleep = vulnerability) and then end up falling asleep wherever
#total drama#mike total drama#not tagging everyone so I don’t clog tags#also i’m projecting a little with Mal but indulge me#I mean technically we never DO see him sleep#and I think it’d be easy to headcanon him having some paranoia about the concept
