hello had a thought this morning (i need to stop having them lol) abt a potential new angle of the oikoi au where hermione is sent to live with penelope when helen is abducted!

she knows her 'auntie' penelope and refuses to let anyone else be her primary caretaker. her father tries to reason with her to stay at home where she grew up, where its familiar, and where everyone knows her and will seek to protect her, but she refuses.

he cant stand seeing the tears that well in her eyes, just like helens. he arranges a convoy to send her and a very apologetic letter to the king and queen of ithaca, who have their own newborn to worry about.

shenanigans ensue. idk i really want to explore the 10 years of troy from penelopes perspective esp ruling a kingdom while raising her son (and now niece) and keeping herself together. and also another 10 years that is much darker and heavier and tackles her trauma bc she too became a monster rawr rawr rawr at some point, just differently.

and then hermione is sent on her merry way home when menelaus and helen send for her after writing a letter confirming their victory and shipwreck i think it was (diomedes had kindly written to her telling her the war was over and the ships had set sail homewards but she hadnt heard from anyone and the horizons were empty).

anyway now with newfound hope odysseus is merely having sat nav issues lol. she loads hermiones ship with gifts to welcome helen home including plenty of fabric and pieces of her own design

(something i reeeally want to add lol is that telemachus goes with her after winning a bet with penelope to let him go, and well he is his fathers son so he trots off and has a grand week with his aunt and uncle. menelaus tells him of his fathers cunning blah blah tele is even more pumped to meet his dad omg poor bby).

and then when he returns he suddenly finds several guests?? penelope is shook and trying to handle the situation with grace. tele is half hiding behind her and holding onto her robes, a hand is on his head and the other over he heart.

the 'guests' only increase in number and nothing is quite the same. at least his aunt ctimene and cousin eupehmia are still here. only a few years down the line they too are forced away and it really is tele and pen against 108 horrid men whos audacity only grows with their appetites.

AND THEN when tele goes to search for his dad the gut punch is the parallel of menelaus being like son ur father is the most badass lil shit ive ever known to son idk how to tell you but but hes not coming home. idk lots of crying here

the point is its all told through penelopes perspective and several external povs bc those are fun and give u, well, new perspectives XD

You think Soobin is pretty.

It is your little secret—a fact that makes your cheeks flush and your blood boil. Excitement and shame mingles whenever you see him, and your first thought is pretty. When you talk to each other, it turns into a mantra: you nod, you hum, you even reply, but all of your thoughts are just one word on repeat. Because all parts of him are pretty, from his adorable bunny teeth to his thin waist. 

Somehow even his scent is pretty. The rich dark chocolate always reminds you of decorated cakes and muffins. It isn’t threatening or chokingly dominant like most scents of alphas are—just warm. Comforting. Pleasant.

Actually, being in his presence is so safe that sometimes your confession almost slips out. You need to bite your lip or pinch your hand to hold it in. The idea of his shocked face after hearing what you call him in secret, makes all of your mating bites pang with fear.

You couldn’t tell him. Betas and omegas are called pretty; alphas never. They’re handsome at most.

“Handsome,” you remind yourself, but you also get a laugh out of Soobin, his chest vibrating under your palm. “Strong,” you continue, simply because you need to. 

Beomgyu’s heat ended two days ago, but the whole apartment is full of his stronger scent, the open windows and little wind don’t help much—the enticing pheromones are everywhere, powerfully flowery, tickling your skin, making your thoughts foggy, but your feelings stronger. It is easier to say things out loud.

“And…” you blink. 

“And?” Soobin cups your cheeks. His smile gets bigger, showing his teeth.

Not teasing, just curious, as always.

Pretty.

Before you can open your mouth again, he kisses you. You are grateful for his soft lips and tongue for making you unable to say that damn word. You grab his waist through his shirt, digging your fingers deep. You use him as armor, to ground yourself in the moment. As a response, he moans into your mouth. It isn’t deep and feral like the whole week. It is softer, shaky—a delicate sign of vulnerability.

The sound – that pretty sound – melts on your tongue. You pull him closer just to hear it again, but this time you slip one of your hands to his throat to feel how his Adam’s apple bops when he moans.

Pretty. Pretty. Pretty.

Your fingertips burn on his neck, his Adam’s apple tickles your palm. You drink up his moan, and you let him suck your lower lip after.

Soobin tangles his fingers in your hair, keeping you close as he goes lower, leaving your lips to kiss your chin, to nibble on your ear, to lick his mating bite on your neck.

Dark chocolate and blooming flowers. Trembling lips on your artery. Too much.

“Pretty,” you whisper.

Maybe he doesn’t hear it—too busy sucking your skin into his mouth. But when he untangles his hand from your hair and stops the kisses just to kneel before you—to mumble compliments with shiny eyes, to sneak his cold hand under your shirt, your warm skin becoming confused and hungry—you know he will hear it the next time.

“You are so pretty, Soob.” Voice raspy, but the words are loud and clear.

“What?” he murmurs. He stands up, looking at you confused.

You gulp. You still think he is pretty. You are stupid.

“I–I am–”

Soobin presses your foreheads together.

“Say it again,” he murmurs. “Please.”

He sounds almost desperate.

“My pretty boy.”

Saying it confidently and hearing his broken whimpers in response is the best feeling. You want to ride him until there is nothing but the fact that he is pretty—a pretty alpha. Your pretty alpha.

“Yeah?” Soobin wets his lip.

A drop of sweat runs down on his face. He stops it unintentionally when he places his hand on his mouth to bite on it. Again, you grab his wrist and pull it to your mouth before he can muffle his sounds. You graze the skin with your teeth, then you kiss it. Even his wrist is pretty, blue veins snaking under fragile skin.

“The prettiest alpha I’ve ever seen,” you smile. 

And you sink deeper with all the remaining strength you have in your body.

“Ah, fuck!” he cries out. “Don’t stop.”

He is close—his knot already starting to swell inside you. His hips stutter. His breaths become choked.

Although your thighs burn from fatigue, too, and a warm feeling spreads in your belly, you don’t want to end it this soon. After all those months of fear, you want to take your time.

Soobin's hand doesn’t fall to his mouth—this time he holds your hand instead. It makes your heart more heavy with adoration and love.

“Please, take it, baby…” he pleads. “Take your pretty boy's knot.”

“Anything you want, Soob.”

You get a muffled grunt in response, fingers digging into your sides to hold you in place for his last thrusts.

When his knot pops, you are warm and full inside, and you cum, too. His choked moan echoes in your ears as you ride out your high with shivering limbs.

Your head lays in the crook of Soobin's neck. His fingers dance on your shoulders and back, alternating between caressing and massaging. It’s comfortable. 

You’ll fall asleep soon—Kai likes to joke about that being your natural reaction to being knotted.

Soobin has other plans.

“Since when?” he asks.

“Hmm… Since I met you. Ever since the first time I saw you I thought you were pretty,” you reply. Your lips brush his skin doing so.

“Really?”

You’re sure he’s frowning—still, you lift your head to see it with your own eyes.

“But why didn't you tell me sooner?”

“If I’d known you'd give me that reaction, trust me, I’d have told you sooner.”

Soobin snorts. A reddish shade spreads on his face. You giggle and kiss the blushy spot.

“Calling an alpha pretty isn’t traditional,” you explain.

“Bullying an alpha as a love language isn’t traditional either, yet Beomgyu does it 24/7,” Soobin reminds you. “We’re not a traditional pack, baby. You can share your non-traditional thoughts anytime.”

“From now, I’ll do so. Thank you.”

“I’m looking forward to it,” he hums.

You close your eyes, just enjoying the song of his heartbeat, his breathing, his closeness—that the feeling which is buried inside your chest is pretty, too.

you concentrate on the feel of the grass. you imagine that you take its peace through your fingertips, and in return, you give your naughty, wild memories and thoughts, so nature can bury them into the concrete.

steps. you look behind yourself. hyunjin is getting closer.

“i came for the grass, too,” he says.

he takes a seat next to you, and he isn’t joking. it seems he wants to reach a level of mindfulness as you did a little earlier, then he holds out his hand. you touch the fibres with only two fingers now to give some place for your boyfriend. either way, you are in contact, and with his pinky touching your middle finger, lightning sparks through your arm.

hyunjin pats his side gloomily. “it’s not working.”

“wanna talk about it?” you recommend.

“i don’t know,” he looks at your fingers caressing grass, then at your face again.

“fine.” he sits closer to you, creating a more intimate situation. “i was searching for my toothbrush. that’s what happened. but i didn’t find it. then jisung peaked out from behind the shower curtain, and said that it is likely that he accidentally mixed up mine with his. his mouth was smeared with toothpaste, and at the edge a toothbrush was hanging out. but from the moment i saw him, i didn’t care about my toothbrush,” he licks his lips. “holy jesus. water cascaded down on his muscles and tiny waist and, and his tattoos, and he looked at me so remorsefully as if my biggest problem could have still been that stupid toothbrush when he was fully naked in front of me...”

your assumption was wrong. you can’t handle it. and now there is not enough green zone and jungle in the whole world that would be able to expel the picture of jisung from your mind. nevertheless, you stay there, hanging onto the lil’ patch of grass, because you can still get rid of your fantasies about changbin here.

“he also whispered something into seungmin's ear, which made seungmin blush, but he was still grinning like he won the lottery. it made me wonder whether being grabbed and manhandled by changbin can feel that goo–”

“yeah, it’s that good,” hyunjin chimes in.

you furrow your brows, he smirks mischievously, and your head is suddenly full of images. memories of how hyunjin dominates changbin, and ideas of how it is sometimes reversed, with changbin holding hyunjin in place with his strength. and as if he was a late guest from this party, jisung also appears in your mind as hyunjin painted him with his words: only wearing the toothbrush.

oh, great heavens. you shoo hyunjin’s hands away from the grass so you can rest your forehead on the plant.

hyunjin giggles.

“go away, you unsalvageable!”

“let go of the grass, and i’ll help you.”

you shoot him a suspicious glance.

“you heard me. i know a method that can help us.”

he stands up, dusts off his jeans, then holds out a hand for you. “so? are you giving up like me?” 

you take his hand, and you also come to terms with your weakness. usually the green patch has a good effect on you, but touching your boyfriends is still better than touching grass.

It's damn near impossible to hide the scent of blood near these (4) four wild beasts, they practically live off it. As soon as you step foot into the home, cave, or Boardwalk and smell like blood? They’re obviously on you, trying to find out what is wrong and trying to pick the pieces on why you smell like blood, yet you don’t have anything on you nor seem hurt; it confuses the hell out of them, especially Dwayne and David as they’re the ‘smart ones’ of the group.

Depending on the time you eat, whether it's night or day; they’re gonna soon find out as your breath smells like blood, probably Paul or Marko will point it out in a teasing way; “Oh babes! Your breath smells like blood, trying to excite us?” which will make the others perk their heads high, seeing as not only David and Dwayne can smell it, but so can the others.

There are two ways of them finding out, A) You tell them, or B) They find out by themselves. If you tell them, David will look at you, eyebrow raised, and say ‘what’s even the point? That’s like the same thing as a vampire but a weak version.’ Whilst Dwayne is looking at you, confusion is written all over his face. He, of course, is a bit confused, but more worried about your health; asking you if you at least cook it, if not: he’ll bonk you on the head.

The two chaotic brothers are somewhat… Excited. Paul and Marko both look at each other, smirking as they both ask if you could go hunting with them or at least be willing to go eat with them. Paul asks stupid questions, ‘can you eat it raw?’ and ‘if you eat certain parts…?’ which he gets a hit on the back of the head by Dwayne.

If you decide to keep it a secret and make them find out; their reaction is more so relaxed, however the same thing. If you continuously sneak out, either during the evening or night to ‘eat’, they’re gonna follow you and try to find out why you smell like blood, practically changing the subject whenever it's brought up.

Once they see you eating, their reactions are a full mix. David is looking at you, a small smirk but his eyebrows raised; showing he didn't expect that out of everything. If you cook at home, they're practically gonna come over, watch you do what you do as they're interested in what you do; watching you whilst music is playing in the backround.

If your job is (some-what) doing what Steve Kemp does: selling human meat to wealthy clients, they'd find the situation cooler; especially Paul. He'd find you more attractive, but way more intimidating; always teasing the outsiders about how they shouldn't mess with you.

Dwayne would save some food for you, in a way to show that he cares for you. David would also save some, but more so wouldn't ask; just give it to you when you're not looking.

Both the chaotic boys; Marko and Paul, aka; horn dogs, love to suggest having sex after hunting, hinting that the blood makes it more attractive to you. However, Dwayne, once again; hits them both in the back of the head for being idiots.

If you do decide to go hunting with them, practically tagging along; they all get excited for whatever reason, seeing as they can see you kill someone. This, will, however, practically lead to having sex with them.

To be honest, they don’t mind. Their teasing and the inviting are more push forward. But, David will pester you about being a vampire; saying it’s more fun and what’s the point of doing it if you're gonna get sick whilst still being human. He will drop it if you tell him off, but he doesn’t see the point of it. Dwayne is the worrier, he tends to make sure you at least drink some water and eat vegetables while eating. Marko and Paul are little shits, practically teasing you and stealing the food off your plate to push your buttons.

They, however, really would like you to come with them; not enjoying the fact that you go alone and you might get hurt by the victims, but if you insist on still going alone: at least one of them is following you, making sure you're okay and if they need to step in.

They all love you the same, nothing (really) changes; just makes the relationship a bit more exciting.

Ok, after 5 days of no good sleep I finally finished this meme xD. Please keep in mind that I did this with my mouse pad (My tablet’s pen died, F) and a very cool YCH (Your character here) that I found on Facebook, I also checked the autors twitter and it was a legit free to use for personal use. And I think it’s also obviuos that I used one of eldarya’s already existing backrounds, Toy factory, not just because I suck at backrounds but because I was f*cking exhausted and craving the sweet release of death, lol. Also, also, in my happy world of headcanons my Valky its still alive and in a very happy poly relationship with my gardy and his brother Lance, no incest, lol. The red head gardy it’s also mine, she’s with Leiftan jeje. I have this tendency for painful drawings, like the time I did something like this but with paint and good lord, I still hate this motherfuckers clothes like hell, but at the very least the wonderful layers and brushes of my Corel program made this infinitely easier, I still dont recommend the use of a laptop mouse pad to finish a drawing of 7 characters in 5 days...
